- 1:43Something amazing happened in the NFL in Week 8, 2026 that hasn't happened in almost 90 some years.
- 1:49We're going to talk about that and who I think the top two players in the NFL for week eight were.
- 1:55Ed Khalisa joins us here to talk about the history of the eighth week of the NFL 2026 season.
- 2:03We're at the midway point of the NFL season and teams are starting to show who they really are and stars are starting to shine.
- 2:09But going to talk about Week 8's history that was made this past weekend as joined every week, Ed Cleese is here.
- 2:16Ed, welcome back to the Pig Pen.
- 2:18Hey, Darren, how are you?
- 2:20Ed?
- 2:20I am doing great.
- 2:21You can't be better than me right now in the football season.
- 2:24I have my professional teams doing all right, had a big victory, which we'll talk about in a second.
- 2:30My college team, Notre Dame, is playing the number one team in the nation at home this week.
- 2:35So maybe they can make some headway there.
- 2:38And, you know, life is good right now.
- 2:40Life is.
- 2:41Yeah.
- 2:41I mean, it's quite the college football slate coming up this weekend, too.
- 2:45So I guess you're just living it up there in Western Pennsylvania.
- 2:48Yeah.
- 2:48And the Steelers have a bye week, so I can relax on Sunday.
- 2:51Yes.
- 2:52All right.
- 2:52Relax.
- 2:54That's right.
- 2:54All right, so we had some, some great games this weekend, some surprising finishes, some really historic things going on.
- 3:03Why don't you get us kicked off here on what's going on?
- 3:06Sure.
- 3:06Let's start with some negative history that you're probably not going to be too sad about, because that would be the Baltimore Ravens, who just had a disaster of an afternoon in Buffalo.
- 3:16As you know, as everybody knows now, they played three quarterbacks in the game.
- 3:21And I don't think there's been too many times in NFL history where you've had played three quarterbacks due strictly to injury.
- 3:26Sometimes like your, your backup quarterback will start the game and your third quarterback has to come in.
- 3:31But I don't think you've.
- 3:31There's very many instances where the QB1 play and gets hurt, then the QB2 plays and gets hurt.
- 3:37And then the QB3 actually got hurt and just kind of toughed it out.
- 3:40It was wild.
- 3:41But that is the first time in Ravens history that three quarterbacks have attempted a pass in a game because Lamar's one play was a pass attempt.
- 3:50And it's the first time in the NFL since 2017 that three different quarterbacks have attempted a pass in a game.
- 3:57And as you might imagine, it did not wind up going very well for the Ravens.
- 4:02No, I think there was another record set that I.
- 4:04I failed to write down, but it was three different quarterbacks in the first half.
- 4:09Wow.
- 4:10Yeah, those are way back in time.
- 4:12I think it was like 2001 or something.
- 4:14Don't quote me on that.
- 4:15But it was, it was quite a way time since this happened.
- 4:19Yes.
- 4:20So another point that we have that's got a positive twist to it, I guess would be in Tennessee.
- 4:27In Tennessee, but in Cincinnati.
- 4:29Did you know, Darren, that the Titans scored the most points that they have scored in any game going back over five years?
- 4:38So the last time the Titans scored at least 36 points in a game was October of 2021 when they beat the Jags.
- 4:46Now of course, this output comes in a loss.
- 4:50Yeah.
- 4:52And I think, you know, I think my star of the game, if I'm going to say there's one NFL player that did more than anybody else and, and that's a Monty Hooker of Tennessee, the DB.
- 5:03Oh my goodness.
- 5:04He allowed just 12 yards on five targets.
- 5:07And I think what do you have three picks in that game of Joe Burrow.
- 5:11And it's amazing that somehow they still got picked apart.
- 5:15Yeah, yeah.
- 5:16It's.
- 5:17How do.
- 5:17You.
- 5:17Reconcile those things?
- 5:19Well, they didn't throw at Imani Hooker, I think.
- 5:21I.
- 5:21Guess he's just back there going, it's not my fault guys.
- 5:24What else.
- 5:25Can I.
- 5:25Do?
- 5:26What else.
- 5:26Can I do?
- 5:26Hooker island there, I guess you can call it.
- 5:30Maybe we don't want to say that.
- 5:32That's on Darren's to do that.
- 5:34That's on your bucket list to make a trip there.
- 5:38Get on Expedia tonight.
- 5:41Okay, so now we're moving on to something that I really want to talk about was that debacle in Dallas.
- 5:46Oh my gosh.
- 5:46I've got a couple of great nuggets here that I love to share.
- 5:51Let's start with this.
- 5:52The.
- 5:52This is weird because as we both know, the Arizona Cardinals are not a great organization and they have not been particularly good over the last 20 years or so.
- 6:00But they have won nine of the last 10 meetings with the Cowboys dating back 20 years, including five in a row in Dallas and Dallas is actually in the DAC era, been a very good home team.
- 6:14So the Cardinals completely have their number and it is the first time in Cowboys history at home that they have blown a 14 point fourth quarter lead.
- 6:25Prior to Sunday they were 202, 0 and 1.
- 6:30So I guess they blew it once, but they didn't lose Their first loss.
- 6:34Holding a 14 point lead at home in the fourth quarter.
- 6:38Yeah, can you imagine how many people were probably headed for the gates to beat the traffic and everything?
- 6:43There were Dallas fans.
- 6:44And you turn on the radio like, oh, no, what's going on here?
- 6:48Yeah, that was amazing.
- 6:49And Minshew through three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
- 6:55Totally amazing.
- 6:55He.
- 6:56He is one of those guys that just sticks around and contributes, you know, has those spot starts, you know, once a year where he's just amazing.
- 7:04And you would think he's the next Tom Brady or something, you know.
- 7:07Yeah, I.
- 7:08I can't steal this because I read this somewhere on X, I believe, but somebody said that Minshew is like the McRib.
- 7:14It is here for a very short time.
- 7:17It's eventually going to make you sick.
- 7:19But that first bite is just great.
- 7:21Yeah, I.
- 7:23I can remember when he first had his first amazing year, and I forget even who he was playing with at the time, but the way he was dressed with the band and everything.
- 7:31They kept referring to him as was Uncle Rico from.
- 7:35Yeah, yeah.
- 7:38Nice.
- 7:39Good reference.
- 7:39Good reference.
- 7:41Okay, good.
- 7:42You got anything else from that game?
- 7:44No, no.
- 7:44That's.
- 7:45Okay.
- 7:45All right, we'll move.
- 7:47To.
- 7:47This isn't really history as much as just pointing out just kind of shocking where the Vikings are offensively.
- 7:54This is a six and one team, Darren.
- 7:57They are 30th offensively in DVOA, which I know is kind of like a newer metric.
- 8:01They are 32nd in six offensive success rate, another newer metric, and then the one that everybody loves, that EPA per play, that's kind of like the efficiency metric.
- 8:12They're 31st offensively.
- 8:15So this is a brutally bad offense.
- 8:17And you might think, well, it's just because they're defense that they're 6 and 1.
- 8:20Well, also they are first in the league in turnover margin, so that the one thing the offense is doing is it's not making the huge mistake.
- 8:29They're just punting every time, basically, essentially.
- 8:32It's.
- 8:32Hard to use when you're.
- 8:33When you're going three and out so many times.
- 8:35Exactly.
- 8:35Exactly.
- 8:36So that really stuck out to me.
- 8:37And just.
- 8:38Just like watching that game, how, how.
- 8:41How little their offense is capable of it seems right now.
- 8:45Yeah, they were really inflicting the damage on Detroit, though.
- 8:49Oh, my goodness.
- 8:50That's, you know, Campbell's injury and multiple other injuries to Detroit.
- 8:54They were like really decimated, like almost the point of what the Ravens themselves in after the end of that game.
- 9:01It's a yearly thing for The Lions defense too.
- 9:03It's.
- 9:03It's really crazy.
- 9:05Yeah.
- 9:05And we're news reports are Campbell is starting is on his recovery.
- 9:10I guess he's still in the hospital, but they're hoping he gets out soon.
- 9:14Very scary.
- 9:15Very scary.
- 9:15That.
- 9:16That had a bad feel to it for sure.
- 9:19Speaking of scary that there's an endless amount of notes on the Bucks Falcons game and I'm gonna assume that maybe you have something.
- 9:27So I'm.
- 9:28Oh yeah, I figured you would.
- 9:30So I'm going to just.
- 9:31We all know now that it's the first game that an NFL team has won since 1974 where they did not complete a pass.
- 9:40Okay.
- 9:40So I rather.
- 9:41I'll leave some of the stats to you, but I wanted to go back to that game in 1974.
- 9:45It was the jets and the Bills in Buffalo.
- 9:48Now oddly enough, it wasn't late in the year.
- 9:49I thought maybe it was snow or something, but it was actually in September and it was this crazy win like 45.
- 9:56You can, you can check out some clips on YouTube.
- 9:57It was like 40, 45 mile hour winds, rain, disgusting day.
- 10:02I live next to Lake Erie too and I know the weather comes off,.
- 10:05So you must know it.
- 10:06Yeah.
- 10:07So Joe Ferguson that day for Buffalo went over two.
- 10:10They did win the game.
- 10:11Now what made me laugh is there's three really notable hall of Famers in that game.
- 10:17Joe Namath did play for the jets in that game.
- 10:19He was 2 of 18 with three interceptions.
- 10:23So he had more interceptions than completed passes.
- 10:25I guess the jets kept trying.
- 10:26At least the Bills won the game 16:12.
- 10:30The jets did kick a couple of field goals, one of them being kind of long.
- 10:33And John Riggins scored a touchdown for the jets in that game.
- 10:37And O.J.
- 10:38Simpson had 117 yards rushing for the Bills.
- 10:41So some big, some big names in that game in 1974.
- 10:45And I guess we've been, what's that, 52 years since we've seen that.
- 10:51Yeah.
- 10:53You know the amazing thing, you know Tampa Bay had 322 rushing yards in that game.
- 11:01Sit there and think about that for a second.
- 11:03Now teams are excited when your total offense is over 300 yards.
- 11:07They had that running the ball.
- 11:09Zero completions like you said by Baker Mayfield.
- 11:14But that stands as the most, second most rushing yards in a.
- 11:19With the zero completions in a football game in the past 90 years.
- 11:24That hasn't happened since before FDR was president.
- 11:281933, the first year the Eagles and the Steelers were franchises and it was the Boston Redskins.
- 11:35They weren't even in D.C.
- 11:36yet.
- 11:38They had 420 yards rushing with zero completions because of how historic that is.
- 11:44Yeah, that was wild out there.
- 11:45That was, that was definitely.
- 11:47And you know, I get into some arguments with my friends.
- 11:50I'm actually a proponent of closed stadiums because I actually think that that ruined the game on Sunday.
- 11:57That's.
- 11:57It's terrible.
- 11:58It's terrible.
- 11:58It's not fun.
- 12:00It's terrible.
- 12:01I think I just don't like alters the game to a point where it's hard to judge anything.
- 12:09And I just thought it was a cross off.
- 12:11Don't even want to look at that game.
- 12:13It's not 1934 anymore.
- 12:15We don't have to do that anymore.
- 12:18But that was a game in the deep south.
- 12:19I was even up north where I know, you know, crazy, a blizzard or something happening.
- 12:25Crazy.
- 12:25So what else is crazy is if you're a Colts fan, you're probably going crazy right now.
- 12:30That is.
- 12:31They match their worst loss ever to the Jags.
- 12:33They lost by 35.
- 12:35They had previously lost to them by 35 back in 2015.
- 12:40But also this is just remarkable because really the Colts and Jags have been somewhat similar over the past 10 to 15 years.
- 12:46But that is the 12th straight loss in Jacksonville for Indianapolis.
- 12:50Of course they play there every year.
- 12:52That's 12 in a row.
- 12:54They have not won in Jacksonville since 2014 and some of those losses for them have been devastating to their seasons.
- 13:00So Jacksonville has proven to be a house of horrors for the Colts.
- 13:06Yeah, 14.
- 13:06That's a long time.
- 13:0814 years.
- 13:09You know, I think the record setting performance, you know, if I was going to pick a second player of the week, it'd have to be I think you'll say his last name.
- 13:16Tootin.
- 13:17The running back.
- 13:18And that dude was on fire.
- 13:20I mean I guess he's injured in the game because he's.
- 13:23He's been on the the not not practicing report the last couple days.
- 13:29But he had a hundred yard game and a touchdown on the ground alongside 50 yards rushing and a catch for a touchdown in the air.
- 13:39Same game, first time in Jacksonville Jags history that anybody's done that.
- 13:43So quite a remarkable day for him on the field.
- 13:46They're.
- 13:47They're for real and they got an explosive offense.
- 13:50Yeah, yeah, that's for sure.
- 13:51And they're a Thursday night game against one of the teams we talked about earlier that really suffering a little bit.
- 13:57So.
- 13:57Yes, the opposite of an explosive offense would be the Los Angeles Chargers and just their shocking start to the Season just continues.
- 14:07It's just horrible.
- 14:08They are the first team now to ever start a season 07 after winning 11 or more games the year before.
- 14:16So this is now one of the worst drop offs from year to year we have ever seen in the history of the NFL.
- 14:22Yeah, I think you're right.
- 14:24If we could take your word explosive and maybe change that to implosive, maybe that's a better description.
- 14:30Yeah.
- 14:30Really?
- 14:30Chargers, that's what a disaster you got to feel for the fans out there.
- 14:35Yes.
- 14:35Now moving on to Denver.
- 14:39If it seems like Bo Nix is only good in the clutch, there's some numbers to back that up.
- 14:46Because if you watch him with the naked eye, my observation is this guy generally stinks.
- 14:51And then if it really, really matters late in the game, he's fantastic.
- 14:56It's this very strange juxtaposition with Bo Nix that's hard to reconcile I think when you watch him.
- 15:05But now Darren in his.
- 15:06And he has the most fourth comeback wins in NFL history for the first three years of his career.
- 15:14He's got 15 of them already.
- 15:16Yeah, I think you could almost say he like the last three minutes of the game, you know, he was.
- 15:22He was on fire.
- 15:22He got all his statistics, I think then.
- 15:25It's wild.
- 15:26He digs himself a hole and then winds up digging himself out.
- 15:29So I guess you got to give him some credit for that.
- 15:30You wonder how long that's sustainable and if at some point that the levy breaks there a little bit.
- 15:36But so far it's a formula that's working for him.
- 15:39But just think about the fan base out there.
- 15:41You can rest and relax at Mile High for, you know, 57, 55 minutes, something like that.
- 15:48And then you just get all your, you know, excitement and fandom all out in just a couple minutes.
- 15:52And yeah,.
- 15:54There's certainly never out of the game and ending with another quarterback from that class.
- 15:58The 2024 quarterback class, which is pretty impressive right now.
- 16:03We saw a lot about Jaden Daniels getting his first win in over a year.
- 16:06Now there's some context with that.
- 16:07Of course, you know, he hasn't had that many starts and.
- 16:10And some of those starts he has left injured.
- 16:13But so we get his first win since October of 2025.
- 16:16And oddly enough they won both of those games.
- 16:20The, the Chargers last year in 2025 and this past week against the Eagles, 27 to 10.
- 16:26And in both of those games they were down 10 to nothing to start.
- 16:30So maybe that was the.
- 16:32What Jaden Daniels needed to unlock his winning ways was another 10 to nothing deficit.
- 16:38But hopefully now for myself and all the other Commanders fans, they're back on track.
- 16:44Yeah, I, you know, I had no interest to fandom one way or the other to win.
- 16:51I just watching it as a fan, but I'm sitting there when Saquon ran that touchdown and made it 10 nothing and it was pretty dominant run he had on there, I'm like, oh my gosh, you know, after, especially
- 17:00after that devastating turnover that Washington had, I'm like going, oh my gosh, the Commanders are in big trouble here and boy, it's just like they flicked a switch and really they own the rest of that game.
- 17:12Yeah, I'll.
- 17:13Credit our rookie kicker to Drew STEVENS because at 10 nothing we had a drive that stalled and he had already missed a 55 yarder.
- 17:21He made a 56 yarder and if he misses that, then they're down 10 nothing and the he goes have the ball at midfield but he makes it.
- 17:28It's 10 to 3.
- 17:29You kind of all calm down a bit and then from there the game certainly flipped.
- 17:35Yeah, I, I failed to mention.
- 17:36You just talk about kickers, you know, and scary performances.
- 17:40Well, how about scary kickers?
- 17:42You know, when they.
- 17:43I haven't watched Tennessee much this year.
- 17:45I got to watch quite a bit of that game this past week.
- 17:48That kicker for Tennessee, that's one big dude, man.
- 17:51He's.
- 17:52Yep.
- 17:52Yeah, he's a mean looking guy.
- 17:54I wouldn't want to meet him in the alley.
- 17:55So.
- 17:56Yep.
- 17:56Joey Sly, he's kind of ripped.
- 17:58Yeah, yeah, pretty.
- 17:58Pretty good player too.
- 18:00So pretty exciting there, you know, really.
- 18:03We talked most about the, the history except for maybe the jets in the Raiders game.
- 18:10You know, this was, you know, historic in multiple ways.
- 18:14They had an, that offensive shootout.
- 18:16It's the first time that both teams scored, playing each other scored 70 points over 70 points since that famous Heidi game that they played way back when.
- 18:27It was a 43 to 32 game back in 1968 when NBC flipped off of that AFL game at the time and put on the movie Heidi for the children to watch.
- 18:40Yes.
- 18:40A game changing moment for the league in a lot of ways.
- 18:43Right, Right.
- 18:44So pretty amazing.
- 18:46There was almost a very close point total to that game.
- 18:50Okay.
- 18:51Same results.
- 18:52So.
- 18:53Yeah.
- 18:53So what's your, your overall thought here?
- 18:55You know, we're at the halfway point.
- 18:58We, we've been talking a little bit.
- 18:59You know, who's the contenders, who's the pretenders?
- 19:03You know, I've had some flip flops on who I thought after from Just week seven to week eight, what are your thoughts here?
- 19:09Well, let's go score gummy, Darren.
- 19:12Okay.
- 19:12Okay.
- 19:12Let's do score gummy first.
- 19:13Yeah,.
- 19:14Yeah, let's go.
- 19:15Let's go score a me, I'd say, because that's.
- 19:17That's what I'm excited about, because.
- 19:18Did you know we had one this week?
- 19:21We did.
- 19:22Oh, we did.
- 19:23Okay.
- 19:23You.
- 19:23Didn't know.
- 19:24Okay.
- 19:24So let's see if you.
- 19:25Get it right.
- 19:25No,.
- 19:26Let's see if you get it right.
- 19:27What's.
- 19:27Your.
- 19:27Guess?
- 19:28I was pondering this earlier, and I've got a couple of them that I think are contenders, but I think I'm gonna go with.
- 19:39I'm gonna go with that.
- 19:40That Raiders jets game, 38, 33.
- 19:42That sounds kind of odd to me.
- 19:44It's pretty odd.
- 19:46But that's happened.
- 19:47That's the seventh time that.
- 19:49That.
- 19:49Has happened in NFL history.
- 19:51Not a lot.
- 19:51Now, famously, I have this as a note.
- 19:54That 38 to third, the most famous 38 to 33 game of the previous six was definitely the 1987 AFC championship game.
- 20:03That would have been the fumble, the Ernest Byner fumble in Denver with.
- 20:07The.
- 20:07Browns.
- 20:08So that final in that game was Broncos 38, Browns 33.
- 20:12So that's probably the most famous 38, 33.
- 20:14That actually, Darren, was the third most rare score.
- 20:18There's two more rare than that.
- 20:21So we'll go in backwards order.
- 20:23The the Lions 19 to 15 win over the Vikings.
- 20:27That has only happened five times.
- 20:29Our total now in the history of the NFL.
- 20:33I actually remember the most recent time that in 1990, in kind of a random game, the Redskins beat the Cowboys 1915 at RFK.
- 20:42And that is the last time we've seen that score.
- 20:45So that's 36 years in between, 19 to 15 finals.
- 20:49But neither of those have the top Scott top spot because we had a score gummy in Cincinnati, the 43 to 36 final.
- 20:59That is the first time that has ever happened in the history of the NFL.
- 21:04Wow, that's a lot of points.
- 21:06A lot of points.
- 21:07And kind of a weird, you know, it's not 42 to 35, you know, that, you know, so I was a little surprised to see that as well.
- 21:13But that was score gummy.
- 21:14That's our third score gummy of the year.
- 21:16But, Darren, we had some super low scores this week.
- 21:19The highest was actually the Commanders beating The Eagles.
- 21:22That 27 to 10 game.
- 21:24That's the 107th time that's happened.
- 21:28And that was our top game.
- 21:29That was the only one over 100.
- 21:31So, Darren, the scorigami index for this week was 36.85.
- 21:38Blowing out.
- 21:39Of.
- 21:39The water.
- 21:40A new record.
- 21:41Yes.
- 21:41A.
- 21:42Brand.
- 21:42New record.
- 21:43Yes.
- 21:43I.
- 21:43Mean, the pre.
- 21:43That beat the previous record we had this year by like 12.
- 21:46Right.
- 21:46It wasn't like almost.
- 21:4720.
- 21:48I think it was 53.
- 21:49Points.
- 21:50So.
- 21:50Yeah.
- 21:50Yeah.
- 21:51Wow.
- 21:51Yep.
- 21:52So.
- 21:52This.
- 21:52This one's going to be hard to top.
- 21:54You had some real oddball scores.
- 21:55Like that 24 to 9 score with the Rams and the Chargers was pretty rare.
- 22:00There was.
- 22:00There's some others that kept it pretty low.
- 22:02The 36 to 10 bill's win was.
- 22:05That's only the 11th time that's happened.
- 22:06So there was a lot of rare scores.
- 22:08I mean, that's crazy.
- 22:10You sit there and think about.
- 22:11So now our.
- 22:12Our what?
- 22:12Week one where we had two score gummies is like third place for Lois.
- 22:17Yep.
- 22:18Yep.
- 22:19This.
- 22:19One.
- 22:19This.
- 22:19One's going to be hard to beat, but we'll see.
- 22:22Yeah.
- 22:23All right, now back to my original question.
- 22:25What.
- 22:25What are you thinking here about the season?
- 22:27We're at the halfway point.
- 22:29You know, the teams that were in a horse race are starting to make that final turn and get into the last two corners.
- 22:34What do you think's going on here?
- 22:37I think that the defending super bowl champions are in a little bit of trouble.
- 22:44And it's just like it's something that we've touched on, I think, on the other pod a little bit is that it appears that Sam Darnold was.
- 22:54Is more of the guy he's been his whole career than he was last year, if that makes sense.
- 23:00I, again, I stole this from somebody else, made the point they compared him to Mark Rippin.
- 23:05And I really think that is sort of an apropos comparison.
- 23:11You know, Ripon had a.
- 23:13Okay part of his career, and then in 1991 with the Redskins, everything went perfect.
- 23:19One of the best teams of all time.
- 23:21And he was unstoppable.
- 23:23He was incredible.
- 23:24And then the very next year, he went back to being the player he was prior, which was okay, but nothing special.
- 23:31And that appears to be what I'm seeing with Darnold.
- 23:35He's not making plays.
- 23:37He looks very ordinary, and that is making their offense very ordinary.
- 23:44So that's something that.
- 23:45That really sticks out to me.
- 23:47And then the Josh Allen experience is just baffling.
- 23:52It's just 30 points every week non stop.
- 23:55He's so fun to watch.
- 23:57So those are probably the two things that have stuck out to me the most.
- 24:00Yeah, I'm just a comment on Darnold.
- 24:02I, I think maybe the big factor that people keep forgetting is I think him not having Kubiak as his offensive coordinator anymore.
- 24:11I think he really knew how, I mean he does a great job just like his father did of knowing how to structure the offenses and the play calls to your personnel, especially your quarterback.
- 24:25And I think he played to Sam Darnold's strengths last year.
- 24:29You know, getting, you know, Smith the ball as much as he could and you know they had a great running game and things.
- 24:35But the other factor, you know that happened this week, I think that trade that we had where the Bears picking up Simmons, he was a difference maker in that game what four or five days after the trade and
- 24:49that dude was, he was wrecking that, that Seattle offense.
- 24:53I mean Seattle has two very good guards and Simmons just tore them up.
- 24:58What he had one tackle for loss, one sack, you know, a bunch of pressures.
- 25:04I think six tackles overall.
- 25:06But he was drawing all the double teams and those edge rushers were just flying in for Chicago and just wreaking havoc on Darnold.
- 25:16So he really, in all fairness, he really didn't have a whole lot of time to throw.
- 25:19But when he did short hopping passes, throwing it a mile over guys heads that are wide open.
- 25:25Yeah, that was kind of inconsistent on his part.
- 25:27Yeah.
- 25:28And the Bears are for real.
- 25:30If I picked the Final Four right now, I would pick Bears 49ers in the NFC and I would pick Jason Jags Bills in the AFC because I feel like the Bears and the Jags are kind of mirror images
- 25:41to me a little bit.
- 25:43Teams that went a certain distance last year and appear to have taken the next step this year.
- 25:50Yeah, that's, that's not a bad pick in there.
- 25:52I mean I, I don't know.
- 25:54I think people are still discounting my team, but I think they are for real and they're contender.
- 25:59They have four in a row in Pittsburgh.
- 26:02They have the bye week this week and they are getting healthy.
- 26:05I mean they had no, no injuries the last two weeks and they're going to be getting, you know, Harmon back and Joseph Day on the defensive line which you know, they've had rookies coming in there and playing lights
- 26:18out.
- 26:18They should be getting some receiving help with Roman Wilson.
- 26:21Not sure about Pittman coming in and there's a lot of talk about them make doing some activity before the trade deadline here in about a week.
- 26:29So I.
- 26:30Think I'm coming around on them a little bit.
- 26:32You know I picked him last week I liked him last week.
- 26:35I'm coming around a little bit.
- 26:37The lack of explosiveness seems to be working itself out a little bit.
- 26:41They're starting to get some bigger plays.
- 26:43I have a hard time shaking the Texans playoff game from my mind from last year a little bit.
- 26:49And when Rogers looked so slow and so old that.
- 26:53But so far this year he looks a lot better and we'll see.
- 26:57Well, they, they've decided they have a feature back and he's might be one of the top backs in the NFL right now.
- 27:03He is the explosive right now.
- 27:05So Jaylen Warren, you know, hats off to him.
- 27:07He's a big difference to Aaron Rodgers.
- 27:10Well, enjoy your bye week with all of your Steelers dreams.
- 27:13I will.
- 27:13And maybe, maybe we'll come back next week and Notre Dame might be maybe, maybe the top spot in the ncaa.
- 27:20Who knows.
- 27:20Possible.
- 27:21It could, it could happen.
- 27:22But okay, so we don't forget everybody.
