- 0:00Shema Ishu El adenoy eloheynu adenoy ekhard hear O Israel,
- 0:08Yehovah is our God, Yehovah is 1.
- 0:22Shalom I'm regulism be on behalf of the Messianic ministry to
- 0:27Israel. We are a mission board and
- 0:30sending agency since 1944. What we do is to take the gospel
- 0:36back to Yerushalayim, Yehudiya Shamron, where the gospel came
- 0:43from. We have a great debt to pay
- 0:46Israel. We have a great debt to pay the
- 0:49Jewish people all the things that we enjoy.
- 0:52In particular, Yeshua, His Holy Word, the Divine Library, the
- 0:57Holy Scripture were given to the world from the Jewish people.
- 1:02In fact, the Gospel of Yochnan Yeshua said that salvation is of
- 1:08the Jews. So our ministry is a befriending
- 1:12ministry, a beloving ministry to the people of Israel.
- 1:16And many of you support us in your prayers and also
- 1:18financially. Thank you for that.
- 1:20For the next several weeks, I'm going to be sharing with you the
- 1:24Christmas prophecies. We are entering the most
- 1:28wonderful time of the year. In fact, my family, Crystal and
- 1:32Jacob and his wife Faith, our daughter of Faith and her
- 1:35husband Noah and their son Gideon and our youngest son
- 1:40Judah love the fall of the year. We love to go down South to
- 1:45Arkansas to deer hunt the first week in November.
- 1:49And of course, then comes Thanksgiving and another deer
- 1:52hunt in Arkansas, and then we start getting ready for
- 1:56Christmas. In fact, it's Thursday, November
- 1:59the 14th, and Crystal and I have already begun to decorate for
- 2:04Christmas. We love Christmas and the main
- 2:07reason is to celebrate the incarnation of God.
- 2:12It's the season of mega lights, festive music, food, family and
- 2:17friends, star gazing, spiritual imagination, book reading by
- 2:22wood burning stove with a cup of coffee or cocoa.
- 2:25It's a special holiday for gift giving, gift receiving, red bows
- 2:30of green Garland, sparkling tinsel, a hopeful white snow,
- 2:34and intimate visits with those whom we love are believers in
- 2:39Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel. The hallmark of Christmas is the
- 2:43remembrance and celebration of Hamulad, or the Nativity.
- 2:48I have been to Israel 20 times, and every pilgrimage to the Holy
- 2:53Land is as exciting and adventurous and memorable as the
- 2:59journey before. Yet I especially love to be in
- 3:02Israel, our Lord's backyard, approaching the Christmas season
- 3:08to celebrate the Nativity of our Messiah of my Savior, the
- 3:13greatest gift ever given while standing, bowing and kneeling at
- 3:19Babelehem is like stepping out of the closet into Narnia.
- 3:24God's gift to man was himself who became one of us.
- 3:30The Son of God became the Son of Man, the Son of Adam, the Son of
- 3:34Adam, born 2000 years ago to an ostracized couple from the tribe
- 3:40of Yehuda. He, Yeshua, was born to die.
- 3:43He was born to die for me. He was born to die for you.
- 3:47God was born, God lived and God died.
- 3:51And God died for us in Israel, in Erushalaim, the belly button
- 3:56of the earth. Everything about Christmas is
- 3:58about Yeshua, whom we love very much.
- 4:01When we read the four Basura, the four Gospels, Netanyahu,
- 4:07Marcus, Lucas, and Jochenan, attempting to unfold the
- 4:11chronological story we have come to call Christmas, we discovered
- 4:16that the season of the Messiah's incarnation was nothing like
- 4:20what we celebrate today. We should take time to reread
- 4:24the stories, first chronologically and then in
- 4:28their historical, grammatical and cultural context.
- 4:31And what is so colossally awesome is the story of Messiah
- 4:37Amus. The story of Christmas was
- 4:39foretold in the Christmas prophecies in the Tanakh or the
- 4:43Old Testament. Genesis 315 is called the Proto
- 4:49Evangelium, or the first Gospel. It is regarded as the Mother
- 4:54prophecy since it is the first prophetic herald of the Gospel
- 4:58of Yeshua and because it gave birth to all the other biblical
- 5:05messianic prophecies in the divine library.
- 5:09Every other prophecy in the Holy Scriptures is a child of the
- 5:14first one. The Proto Evangelium is a
- 5:18presentation of the entire history of humanity in a
- 5:23miniature declaration. The Proto Evangelium are the
- 5:28first Gospel, Genesis 315. From the mouth of Elohim to our
- 5:35parents, the federal head of the human race, Adam Ikhava, and
- 5:40then later to Moshe, the author of Genesis was an announcement
- 5:47of the champion who is coming. The entirety of the inspired,
- 5:51inerrant, infallible holy scriptures is about this one
- 5:57who's coming. The zenith motif of the Holy
- 6:00Word, He, the champion, is coming.
- 6:04The champion was announced in Genesis 315 is to be the final
- 6:09protagonist in the drama of redemption.
- 6:13There's mystery involved in the genesis of messianic prophecy
- 6:18concerning the announcement of the person and his mission.
- 6:22The answers to who and when and where of the coming champion is
- 6:27obscure, to be sure. Yet the divine author of the
- 6:30Bible has invited you and me, all of us, to discover himself.
- 6:37There are those who debate Messianism being found in
- 6:42Genesis 315, and these argue that Messianic prophecy is not
- 6:47present in the text, but read into the text by the
- 6:51judeo-christian world. They argue that the noun Messiah
- 6:56or Messiah meaning anointed 1 is nowhere used in Genesis 3, nor
- 7:02is the verb meaning to anoint. The skeptics deduced that
- 7:07expectation of a unique future champion or a future king came
- 7:13much later and was a development in Israelite fault that arose as
- 7:20a result of the demise of the Davidic monarchy, the time of
- 7:25the Babylonian captivity in six O 9597 and 586 BC.
- 7:31The naturalistic interpretation of Genesis 315 is stated to be a
- 7:37historic ideology, not a prophecy, that the passage is
- 7:42about snakes and humanity, when and why snakes and humans hate
- 7:49each other. The naturalistic interpretation
- 7:52explains why snakes slither, why people fear snakes, why the
- 7:58poisonous serpent strikes at man's feet whenever man is
- 8:03unfortunate enough to encroach the serpent, and why every man
- 8:07everywhere tries to crush the serpent's head when he has an
- 8:11opportunity. One of the arguments of this
- 8:14naturalistic interpretation is that the Hebrew word zerah or
- 8:20seed is a corporate noun, not a singular. 1A Naturalistic
- 8:26interpretation insist that not only is there no Messiah
- 8:30mentioned or revealed or announced, but nor is there a
- 8:35Satan or an adversary intended by Moses, the author.
- 8:42The only adversary in the text is the hate between man and
- 8:45snake and snake and man. This naturalistic interpretation
- 8:51quotes zoologist who say that snakes once had legs and thus
- 8:57snakes are meant in the text, not a supernatural serpent or a
- 9:02spiritual devil. Our defense that Genesis 315 is
- 9:07not only messianic but potently messianic.
- 9:11Refuting the naturalistic interpretation is the following
- 9:15number one. First, the Hebrew term used in
- 9:19the text, zerah means seed, and zerah is not a corporate noun,
- 9:27it is a corporate singular noun. Zerah is used throughout the
- 9:32Bible, sometimes Speaking of a group like Israel or the sons of
- 9:38Yaakov, and sometimes it speaks of a singular 1A posterity, a
- 9:45son, one person. An example of such a noun is our
- 9:50English word dear. In fact, while I'm recording
- 9:53this radio program and podcast, I just came back from Arkansas
- 9:58with my son Jacob. Deer hunting.
- 10:01Do I say deer meaning one, or do I use deer meaning more than
- 10:05one? Yes.
- 10:07In Genesis 425, the wife of Adam Khava named their son Set for
- 10:16she said, and I'm quoting her. I'm quoting the word.
- 10:19God has appointed me another Zerah, another seed in place of
- 10:26Havel or Abel. Obviously then, Zerah is
- 10:31referring TO11 descendant, one particular seed, the one stated
- 10:37in the text, and that's Seth. In Genesis 2113, Elohim tells
- 10:44Avraham that he would make the son of the maid Hagar a nation
- 10:52also because he, Ishmael, was Abraham's seed.
- 10:59The word there is Zarah and the word is singular.
- 11:03As for the serpent, in the text of Genesis 315 a literal serpent
- 11:09is meant. On this we agree, although a
- 11:12supernatural spiritual power is behind the serpent, since this
- 11:19is what Moshi, the inspired author, insinuates in the
- 11:24narrative in the prophecy. In support of this truth, later
- 11:29we read in the Holy Scriptures that Satan, that old dragon, the
- 11:35serpent from the beginning, that's in Revelation chapter 12
- 11:40verse 4, is implied by Moshe. When the entire narrative is
- 11:45considered from Genesis 315 and forward, the Adversary Satan is
- 11:51defined as a serpent, the serpent and the dragon.
- 11:57Satan is often addressed behind the thing he's using.
- 12:02For example, in Yeka scale or Ezekiel 28, one to 10 Satan is
- 12:08addressed through a man, the king of Tyre.
- 12:12In Isaiah 14, nine through 11, Satan is addressed through a man
- 12:19in matted Yahoo 1623. In the New Testament Satan is
- 12:24addressed through Peter, Kifa. Since Peter's words to Yeshua
- 12:30were very adversarial, Yeshua turns to Kifa.
- 12:34He addresses the origin of Peter's thinking and says, get
- 12:38thee behind me Satan. He was not calling Peter the
- 12:43devil, He was calling Peter an adversary by the words that he
- 12:47used. Blame cannot be placed on non
- 12:51moral agents. The context of the passage of
- 12:56Genesis 315 concerns the fall of man, the tempter in the garden.
- 13:01The serpent was already fallen with access to Ghan Eden and he
- 13:06is anti Elohim. We know this by hearing the
- 13:10serpent's accusation concerning God's Word to Adam, Ikhava, or
- 13:15Eve. There are many others who hold
- 13:18what's called a symbolic interpretation of Genesis 315.
- 13:23Some suggest that the passage is not prophetic, is parabolic.
- 13:27It refers to a perpetual hatred between the godly and the
- 13:32wicked, since the Zerah or seed is corporate or more than one,
- 13:37and both the Old Testament and the New Testament see wicked
- 13:41people as descendants of their father the devil.
- 13:45There was and there is both a godly line and an ungodly line
- 13:52from Adam unto this present day in the year 2024.
- 13:57That's true. With this we agree.
- 13:59But the problem with the symbolic interpretation is that
- 14:04Adam and Cava are the parents of both peoples, of all peoples of
- 14:09the world. Everyone.
- 14:11We've all been born in sin, We've all sinned.
- 14:14We're all depraved. Adam and Khava were the image of
- 14:19God, the federal head of the human race, and they became
- 14:22sinful. There's no symbolism here, not
- 14:25at all. The text reveals how all have
- 14:28become ungodly and wicked and need therefore to be born again.
- 14:34There is segregation of the righteous and unrighteous and
- 14:39that is only by faith in the coming champion of man who will
- 14:43be born of the Zara or the seed of woman.
- 14:48Sadly, horrifically sad is that the messianism within the text
- 14:53of Genesis 315 has been exercised from the text by many
- 14:59who have abandoned the notion of a Messiah, a Satan, and
- 15:03Messiah's defeat of Satan. Amen.
- 15:07With any text lying in the corpus of the Holy Scriptures,
- 15:11we must always make the attempt to rightly interpret the text
- 15:16first. There is evidence in the text of
- 15:19Genesis 315 that implies it is messianic.
- 15:23The local context of the passage shows that the narrative follows
- 15:29the temptation of Kava or Eve. A tempter is present.
- 15:34The tempter tempted Kava to disregard or have less regard
- 15:39for the words of Elohim To her implies the tempter himself had
- 15:44already fallen. Reading the text, 1 discovers
- 15:48that the tempter had Privy to the mind of God, and that the
- 15:53Tempter was biased against Elohim.
- 15:56This implies, then, that there's a tension between the Tempter
- 16:00and Elohim and the Tempter and Elohim's Word.
- 16:05The tempter then distorted the Word of God by questioning the
- 16:09Word of God to Hava. The tempter cast doubt upon
- 16:14Elohim's Word and mitigated denial of Elohim's word.
- 16:20In doing all of this, The serpent, The dragon denigrated
- 16:24the Word of God while he asserted his own word to Java.
- 16:29The tempter in the passage of Genesis 31 to 15 was a liar, a
- 16:35deceiver, and a murderer from the beginning.
- 16:39The one tempting Eve was a murderer, the tempter was and he
- 16:43still is anti God, and the tempter was the source of the
- 16:48serpent's words in contrast and in contention with the words of
- 16:53Elohim. Second, the context of Genesis
- 16:5736 and seven concerns the fall of humanity with the fall of
- 17:03Adam and Khava. Adam and Khava were created as
- 17:06pristine as the world the Creator had made.
- 17:10They were made in the image of Elohim and they walked with
- 17:14Elohim and Gan Eden. Then verses 8 to 19 further show
- 17:19confrontation between Elohim and the adversary who is the
- 17:25antagonist. There was confusion and exact
- 17:28confession of a Dominic Cava within a curse placed upon the
- 17:33serpent, the woman, the man, and the world in that order.
- 17:38Third, after after Elohim passed judgment, and then later Adam
- 17:43and Hava bore their son, Hava's initial expectation was an
- 17:49immediate Zerah, an immediate seed who would qualify Elohim's
- 17:55prophecy to her and he would be the champion and he would
- 17:59prevail. The messianic implication is
- 18:02revealed by Hava's naming of her son.
- 18:05She named him Cain, meaning man, the Lord.
- 18:12Genesis 41. There is also there is also
- 18:16messianic implication by the posterity of Cayenne seed.
- 18:21In fact, the same names of Cayenne's posterity are similar
- 18:26to Seth's posterity. Let me name those.
- 18:30Listen to the names from Adam through Seth, Adam, Set, Enos,
- 18:37Canaan, Mahalaleel, Yarid, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamac, and
- 18:44Noah. Now listen to the descent from
- 18:46Adam through Cain, Adam, Kain, Enoch, Arid, Mehujahel,
- 18:53Methujahel and Lamac. Those names are almost
- 18:58identical. 4th The in textual evidence implies the passage is
- 19:04messianic. By in textual I mean the broader
- 19:08context, the local context in harmony with the book wherein it
- 19:13lies, in this case Genesis 315, in concert with the entire
- 19:19scroll of Genesis. Genesis 315, the Proto
- 19:25Evangelium. It's the broader context which
- 19:29is salvation in the midst of judgment.
- 19:32Genesis 315 reveals the great Hebrew hope to come because of
- 19:38the messianic prophecy Elohim foretold to Adam and Hava.
- 19:44Hava came to expect the arrival of the champion from her womb to
- 19:51be birthed immediately. Let me quote her words.
- 19:55Genesis 425 And Adam knew his wife again, and she gave birth
- 20:00to a son and named him Seth. For she said, God has appointed
- 20:05me another seed in place of Havel, for Cayenne killed him.
- 20:11The eminency of the coming champion was embraced by the
- 20:16early patriarchs. Cava's grandson Enoch
- 20:20anticipated his coming, and public worship was instituted in
- 20:25Genesis 426. Conoke or Enoch anticipated
- 20:30someone and named his son Metshellock in accordance to his
- 20:36anticipation. Metshellock in Hebrew means when
- 20:40he died it shall be sent. Lamech was expecting someone to
- 20:45pronounce a blessing from a curse, and thus he named his son
- 20:49Noah, which means he shall give us comfort from the curse.
- 20:53Noah was expecting the champion. If the intertextual evidence
- 20:59implies the passage is Messianic, the passage of
- 21:02Genesis 315 lies within the broadest context, the entire
- 21:08compilation of the Holy Scriptures, the Bible.
- 21:12The prophet Moshe refers to Genesis 315 in Numbers 2419,
- 21:19when he wrote of one from Yaakov, we'll have dominion.
- 21:25The New Testament writers saw the passage in Genesis 315 to be
- 21:31more than about snakes. In fact, in Romans 1620, the
- 21:36apostle Shaul, the apostle Paul references Elohim as one of
- 21:42Shalom, or peace and prosperity, Satan beneath the feet of the
- 21:48holy ones, and Satan the serpent being crushed by the seat of the
- 21:55Saints or the holy ones. That's Romans 1620.
- 22:00In Revelation 12, Jochenan or John wrote of the spiritual
- 22:05battle from the beginning that has lasted until the end.
- 22:11The dragon from the beginning is standing before the woman,
- 22:15clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, a garden of 12
- 22:20stars on her head, and in labor and in pain to give birth.
- 22:26This woman is an illusion to Java and was and is also Israel.
- 22:33The dragon was in the beginning. Jochenan says this in Revelation
- 22:3912/9. I quote that serpent of
- 22:42antiquity, and in verse 12 that serpent is identified not as a
- 22:48snake, but as the devil. I quote For the devil has come
- 22:53to you having great wrath, because he knows that he has a
- 22:58short time. And finally there's evidence of
- 23:02the Messianism of Genesis 315 by the traditions.
- 23:08Early Jewish interpreters saw this verse as Messianic.
- 23:12The Septuagint broke Greek grammatical rules to show that
- 23:17Zerah or seed was not corporate but singular, A masculine
- 23:23singular pronoun, he. He is the champion from woman
- 23:28that was to be anticipated, not an yet a corporate neuter
- 23:33gender. The Aramaic Targums of Genesis
- 23:37and the Targum Jonathan and the Targum Uncleus revealed that
- 23:42Genesis 315 refers to a victory over the serpent Satan in the
- 23:49days of King Messiah. The Midrash, which is a rabbinic
- 23:53commentary, interprets Genesis 315 as messianic, and the Jewish
- 24:01theologian Kim He saw this passage as messianic, as did the
- 24:07early Church fathers. Justin Iranius also interpreted
- 24:12this verse, Genesis 315, to be Messianic.
- 24:17In conclusion, this first biblical prophecy, Genesis 315,
- 24:22has a spiritual interpretation clearly portraying at the
- 24:26beginning and continuing unto the end the godly verse, the
- 24:30ungodly. There was, there continues to be
- 24:32a perpetual hatred between the woman and her godly line and the
- 24:37serpent and his ungodly seed, human and demonic being this.
