- 0:19Speaker 2: appears on the.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Screen, car talk with Brad Dungeons and the Dungeons family
- 0:23Speaker 1: of Watos and good morning, Brad, you brought friends who's always.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Good morning, Good morning friends, and good morning Tom did
- 0:29Speaker 3: bring friends. Peggy Crowder and I'm sorry, Melody Cox from
- 0:33Speaker 3: the Concern are one of our favorite organizations, one that
- 0:37Speaker 3: my grandmother was so involved in and loved to support,
- 0:41Speaker 3: and it's it's great to be able to continue that
- 0:44Speaker 3: with you guys. And you've got another event coming up,
- 0:47Speaker 3: and so much going on with the construction and all
- 0:50Speaker 3: the completion of your your renovations and all that expansion,
- 0:54Speaker 3: and so I want to hear about all that.
- 0:57Speaker 4: You want to hear all about it. Everything well, first
- 1:00Speaker 4: and foremost, we're having a fundraiser on Saturday, September twenty first.
- 1:04Speaker 4: It's our third annual Battle in Bartlesville. Melody is more
- 1:10Speaker 4: of our coordinator with everything in regards to what's going
- 1:15Speaker 4: on there, so I would kind of let her talk
- 1:16Speaker 4: about it.
- 1:17Speaker 5: And so Battle in Bartlesville is our lipsync challenge. So
- 1:20Speaker 5: anybody that's still we still got a couple of spots
- 1:22Speaker 5: for performers. We we're gonna take you to the seventies
- 1:26Speaker 5: and we've got a couple of eighties songs and some
- 1:29Speaker 5: new Deadpool bye bye bye. Maybe. So it'll be a
- 1:35Speaker 5: fun night.
- 1:35Speaker 2: And get to pick your song.
- 1:37Speaker 4: You get the group's picked their own songs? Oh yeah,
- 1:41Speaker 4: from a menu or can they family friendly? Well friendly ish.
- 1:48Speaker 5: So but yes, So just come have a good time.
- 1:52Speaker 4: You have a couple of drinks and food probably.
- 1:57Speaker 5: You know, well Prices Meets generously donated their pulled pork,
- 2:02Speaker 5: so ah, you know another another incentive.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Now that's a neat event.
- 2:08Speaker 3: And I've seen that some of the video and it's amazing.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Yeah, so there's quite a party.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Well hopefully you can attend and you can always be
- 2:17Speaker 4: a performer.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I don't know about that. I don't get you. We'll
- 2:20Speaker 2: get you up there doing that.
- 2:23Speaker 4: It's just about a performance. I mean, we really don't
- 2:26Speaker 4: look at the singing as much as the performance itself.
- 2:29Speaker 4: So it's whatever you can put together that you.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Can mind, you can dance, you can be a star.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Yeah that's not really I didn't try to talk me
- 2:39Speaker 3: into that since middle school and I'm not going I've
- 2:43Speaker 3: told him no before, but I did get talked into
- 2:46Speaker 3: doing the Nutcracker one, so it is possible.
- 2:49Speaker 2: But the rest of the family did it like.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Twenty or thirty times, so that was it took a
- 2:54Speaker 3: lot of trying and that was fun. And yeah, but
- 2:58Speaker 3: concerned to talk about Churches United for Community Concerned, I mean,
- 3:02Speaker 3: this is an organization that goes back decades in our city.
- 3:07Speaker 2: And is it true Bartlesville Original.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Yes, we've been in existing since nineteen sixty seven, so
- 3:14Speaker 4: I guess you and I were born than not so
- 3:16Speaker 4: much melody. It's a considered effort with seventeen churches that
- 3:21Speaker 4: determined it was better to put their resources together and
- 3:26Speaker 4: provide a better type of service with food and financial assistance,
- 3:32Speaker 4: and we are still doing both of those services to
- 3:35Speaker 4: this day. We have increased our food distribution from six
- 3:40Speaker 4: times a year to once every thirty days, and we
- 3:43Speaker 4: are able to do that because of our capital improvements
- 3:46Speaker 4: that we received through Line Foundation, the City of Bartlesville,
- 3:49Speaker 4: the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, and recently we
- 3:53Speaker 4: received Oklahoma DHS grant for a walking cooler, so we
- 3:57Speaker 4: have a walk in freezer. So we were able to
- 4:01Speaker 4: free up some space for dry goods and that type
- 4:04Speaker 4: of thing, so we're able to actually serve more people
- 4:07Speaker 4: because of the gifts that we received through these grants.
- 4:11Speaker 2: That's awesome. And the need, I understand, the need just
- 4:14Speaker 2: keeps growing.
- 4:15Speaker 3: And you know, thousands of people need this food service
- 4:18Speaker 3: every month now and they do.
- 4:21Speaker 4: It's the new families that are coming in that really
- 4:25Speaker 4: are kind of astonishing us because the increase is each year.
- 4:30Speaker 4: You would think it would kind of level out at
- 4:31Speaker 4: some point, but it hasn't, so the Great jour need
- 4:34Speaker 4: is still there. We're still an emergency food pantry, so
- 4:39Speaker 4: it's food for four to seven days. However, you can
- 4:41Speaker 4: pull it out together and then financial assistance is up
- 4:44Speaker 4: to one hundred and fifty dollars per household per year,
- 4:47Speaker 4: and it could be a pass to utility bill, a prescription,
- 4:51Speaker 4: it could be a gas card for an out of
- 4:53Speaker 4: town medical appointment because a lot of people have doctor's
- 4:56Speaker 4: appointments in Tulsa and those type of things.
- 4:59Speaker 3: That's awesome, and it's so neat that the church is
- 5:03Speaker 3: coming together and coordinating the service that I think it's
- 5:06Speaker 3: not atypical here in Bartlesville because so much of our
- 5:10Speaker 3: safety net and the nonprofits work together and really try
- 5:13Speaker 3: to coordinate and not overlap, but provide that great support
- 5:17Speaker 3: for our community when people do need help. And so
- 5:21Speaker 3: the event is coming up on September twenty first and
- 5:25Speaker 3: the third annual, and you can still get a spot
- 5:29Speaker 3: and how does that work? What do they do if
- 5:32Speaker 3: they want to actually participate in the karaoke?
- 5:35Speaker 5: So just send an email. You can go to Concerncares
- 5:38Speaker 5: dot com. There's a performers packet, there is a place
- 5:42Speaker 5: to buy tickets. You can buy tables and get that
- 5:46Speaker 5: eighth ticket for free. And there's still I believe they're
- 5:51Speaker 5: still at advertisement up there too. So there's a small
- 5:54Speaker 5: business that wants to do an ad in our program.
- 5:56Speaker 5: We every little bit helps. Yes, you don't realize, you know,
- 6:00Speaker 5: we've had over twenty new families a month, so it's.
- 6:04Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yeah, and your capital improvements and all that that's been
- 6:10Speaker 3: going on now for about a year.
- 6:12Speaker 4: I guess it started last year in October with the
- 6:15Speaker 4: new roof. So that was the Lion Foundation part of
- 6:19Speaker 4: their grant. So we were able to leverage grants through
- 6:24Speaker 4: the city and through the food bank and because of
- 6:28Speaker 4: that line Foundation said you're able to obtain this additional
- 6:33Speaker 4: money for the remaining capital improvements. New restrooms. We had
- 6:37Speaker 4: a restroom that had pink tiles and the port men's
- 6:41Speaker 4: restroom was just like a little closet. So now we
- 6:44Speaker 4: have closet.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:48Speaker 4: And then the biggest getting the freezer, especially for Melody
- 6:53Speaker 4: as the pantry manager, is big to be able to
- 6:57Speaker 4: store the frozen foods that as opposed to eighteen various freezerschestrasers.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Sure, I can imagine going into the chest phraser in
- 7:07Speaker 5: the bottom. You know, it's not a hanging in there,
- 7:10Speaker 5: so sure that.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it was much better when you're doing all the.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Process and move through your program. Yeah, that is amazing.
- 7:19Speaker 3: And so since nineteen sixty seven, and I know there's
- 7:24Speaker 3: lots of volunteer opportunities and ways for people to become involved,
- 7:28Speaker 3: and many of them probably through their churches. But tell
- 7:31Speaker 3: us about that and what you guys do and how
- 7:34Speaker 3: people can be involved with the different.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Roles are well.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Melodies also our volunteer coordinators, So.
- 7:41Speaker 5: We have all kinds of opportunities. I have groups that
- 7:44Speaker 5: come in and they you know, you don't think about
- 7:46Speaker 5: having to clean a pantry and you'd take everything off
- 7:48Speaker 5: the shelf and reput it in. You have a group
- 7:51Speaker 5: of a youth group. We have youth groups that come
- 7:53Speaker 5: in anything like that. If you want to do a
- 7:56Speaker 5: food drive, we always need peanut better always always the
- 8:00Speaker 5: peanut butter. And you know, I do have a consistent
- 8:05Speaker 5: group of volunteers that are I could not do this
- 8:08Speaker 5: without them. None of us could do anything without our volunteers.
- 8:11Speaker 5: And they are great, and most of them are from
- 8:13Speaker 5: our churches. But you know, we have front desk and
- 8:17Speaker 5: intake that they deal with the clients. And then you
- 8:20Speaker 5: have the pantry people that fill and you have the
- 8:22Speaker 5: people that repackage. We buy big things of sugar and
- 8:25Speaker 5: pancake mix and you know they get little er bags,
- 8:29Speaker 5: but they don't necessarily you know, so I have to
- 8:32Speaker 5: have somebody that sets and repackages all that.
- 8:36Speaker 3: No, it is it's labor intensive stuff that you guys
- 8:39Speaker 3: do and getting it all ready and for organized for the.
- 8:43Speaker 2: People to pick up and then and some you probably
- 8:46Speaker 2: deliver some of it.
- 8:47Speaker 5: Yeah, we have three senior complexes that we actually delivered
- 8:50Speaker 5: to once a month, so we've got about seventy five.
- 8:54Speaker 2: I take advantage.
- 8:55Speaker 4: There's like one hundred and ninety two units that are
- 8:58Speaker 4: eligible in about seven you take advantage of it.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's awesome, what a great story.
- 9:04Speaker 3: And all started right here in Bartlesville by our community churches.
- 9:11Speaker 2: It is such a great organization. So it's awesome to hear.
- 9:14Speaker 3: And the lip sync and contest coming up on September
- 9:18Speaker 3: twenty first at the Hilton Garden End. And you said
- 9:20Speaker 3: tickets are available and that gets you food and drinks and.
- 9:27Speaker 2: All the entertainment. Entertainment. That's quite fun and it's a
- 9:31Speaker 2: big fun.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:33Speaker 5: This is our this is our money.
- 9:36Speaker 2: This is where the most of the money comes from.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Big one.
- 9:40Speaker 3: And we did yet another event a few months ago
- 9:43Speaker 3: that was really cool, I thought, where we went into
- 9:46Speaker 3: the downtown Bartlesville and got to visit well received.
- 9:52Speaker 2: It was such a great, great event.
- 9:54Speaker 4: And we were able to partner with Downtown Bartlesville and
- 9:58Speaker 4: Young Professional Group and that might not be something that
- 10:02Speaker 4: we do every year, but we were very appreciative for
- 10:07Speaker 4: the opportunity to be able to do a show.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Unique to get into some of those renovated spaces.
- 10:11Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, no, it was a lot of fun.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I did enjoy that. Good times.
- 10:17Speaker 3: There's a lot of other stuff going around on this
- 10:20Speaker 3: weekend in the community. We've got the Samaritan Sports Spectacular
- 10:24Speaker 3: Saturday night at the Hilton Garden End, great great party
- 10:29Speaker 3: out there, kicking off the sports season. Everybody can wear
- 10:32Speaker 3: their favorite sports teams gear and yell at the other people.
- 10:38Speaker 3: We've got the lots of changes in sports this year,
- 10:42Speaker 3: and especially in college football. Plus this weekend is Suttonnavian
- 10:45Speaker 3: Research Center's Wild Brew which is.
- 10:48Speaker 2: A great party.
- 10:49Speaker 3: I don't know if you guys have ever been to
- 10:50Speaker 3: that in Tulsa, but a lot of the best restaurants
- 10:53Speaker 3: in Tulsa, the best beer makers. You can go and
- 10:56Speaker 3: sample it all. It's a big party, lots of things
- 10:59Speaker 3: to buy, and it's really really a great event. And
- 11:04Speaker 3: then coming up next Tuesday, we've got the Empty Bowls
- 11:07Speaker 3: lunching fundraiser at the Community Center. Another really good one
- 11:10Speaker 3: that's food centered and that helps get me interested. But yeah,
- 11:16Speaker 3: they had gotta missions. They're doing Empty Bowls again. This
- 11:20Speaker 3: is the fifteenth annual Empty Bowls and Brenda Williamson's been
- 11:25Speaker 3: organizing that from the beginning and we'll be out there
- 11:29Speaker 3: having lunch next Tuesday, and I bet you can still
- 11:31Speaker 3: get some tickets for that too, and that's a really
- 11:34Speaker 3: great one where you can sample all the great Bartlesvieel
- 11:36Speaker 3: restaurants and lots of fun stuff going on and well
- 11:41Speaker 3: and there's you know, we're with school getting back in
- 11:43Speaker 3: and getting into the fall pattern, these beautiful mornings like
- 11:47Speaker 3: this morning, it was so nice and cool, and you
- 11:51Speaker 3: know it's still we'll see if we can make some more. Yeah, no,
- 11:54Speaker 3: it always people seem to forget. But every August this
- 11:57Speaker 3: starts to happen, where the days get shorter and every
- 12:01Speaker 3: northwest flow comes in. Since it's almost there, and we've
- 12:07Speaker 3: got model year in close out at the dealership on
- 12:10Speaker 3: a lot of our vehicles. We've got transitioning over from
- 12:15Speaker 3: the twenty fours onto the twenty five, so we're starting to.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Get those in.
- 12:19Speaker 3: I've got a new Explorers, the twenty five Explorers redesigned,
- 12:24Speaker 3: and really excited about that. Later this month we'll have
- 12:28Speaker 3: our first Crown Insignia, which is a Crown is the
- 12:32Speaker 3: new top of the line sedan for Toyota that replaced
- 12:36Speaker 3: the Avalon and so they're going to make a small
- 12:41Speaker 3: suv version of that that's going to be a really
- 12:45Speaker 3: neat car.
- 12:45Speaker 2: We've done.
- 12:46Speaker 3: We have done really well with the Crown as it's
- 12:49Speaker 3: been launched this year, and just really really great inventory
- 12:55Speaker 3: right now on both all sides, on the Ford and
- 12:58Speaker 3: Toyota side, god A, prius, A Camra, a Venza, rab
- 13:02Speaker 3: for Siena, several tacomas that are on the ground and
- 13:06Speaker 3: several coming.
- 13:08Speaker 2: We've got a Sequoia.
- 13:10Speaker 3: That will be here any day now, should be here
- 13:13Speaker 3: this week. That one is actually not spoken for. We've
- 13:17Speaker 3: got a couple of them that are sold in the pipeline.
- 13:19Speaker 3: But that's the thing with the large suv from Toyota now,
- 13:23Speaker 3: it's not They have not been able to keep up
- 13:25Speaker 3: with demand on many of our of our models, and
- 13:29Speaker 3: you can see that when you look at the Toyota
- 13:30Speaker 3: a lot. But another thing that's done is is we're
- 13:35Speaker 3: out there we want to buy or use Toyota. The
- 13:38Speaker 3: demand for new Toyotas has raised the value of those
- 13:43Speaker 3: cars to be relative to the new vehicle, it will
- 13:47Speaker 3: probably be never worth more, and the people are searching
- 13:50Speaker 3: for the used.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Cars more and more.
- 13:53Speaker 3: You mentioned the more families coming to you. We see
- 13:56Speaker 3: that in our business too, with inflation and the higher
- 14:00Speaker 3: interest rates and trying to help people get into that.
- 14:03Speaker 3: You know, they need a car, they need transportation, and
- 14:06Speaker 3: and a lot of times we're trying to help people
- 14:08Speaker 3: manage that situation and get the best value they can
- 14:11Speaker 3: out of their transportation. And and it has been more
- 14:16Speaker 3: difficult in recent years with higher costs and and but
- 14:19Speaker 3: if you've got to use Toyota, an extra vehicle or
- 14:22Speaker 3: something that that we could make an offer on, we're
- 14:24Speaker 3: making outstanding offers and to pay top dollar for a
- 14:28Speaker 3: used Toyota, especially a nice local one that we've got
- 14:31Speaker 3: a history on. And and uh, your cars are worth
- 14:35Speaker 3: more than ever before you've got to use Toyota, that's
- 14:38Speaker 3: for sure. The lots of other cool stuff going on.
- 14:44Speaker 3: I've seen more and more on similar lines, more and
- 14:48Speaker 3: more leasing. Uh people are that's a way to get
- 14:51Speaker 3: your payment lower and h and not have to worry
- 14:54Speaker 3: about the ups and downs and vehicle values. You know,
- 14:58Speaker 3: after two or three years, if you drove the right
- 15:01Speaker 3: amount of miles you plan to that you can just
- 15:04Speaker 3: walk away from the vehicle and not have to worry
- 15:07Speaker 3: about any inequity or anything. And that gives you a
- 15:10Speaker 3: chance to drive a new car again every three years
- 15:13Speaker 3: or so, which we see a lot of people do that,
- 15:16Speaker 3: and sometimes if they do it and extend their loan
- 15:20Speaker 3: beyond that period they're driving, they can reach a situation
- 15:24Speaker 3: they call inequity or being upside down in quotes, and
- 15:29Speaker 3: that just means you owe more on the car than
- 15:31Speaker 3: it's actually worth. And you know, when you're not wanting
- 15:35Speaker 3: the car anymore, it's got issues that can be a problem.
- 15:39Speaker 3: And you know, so we have done just we really
- 15:42Speaker 3: try to help our customers work through those things and
- 15:45Speaker 3: understand what's going on and make good decisions on that.
- 15:48Speaker 3: With our professional noncommissioned sales associates, they really never want
- 15:53Speaker 3: to put pressure on you to do something that's not
- 15:56Speaker 3: good for you. They're there to take care of you
- 15:58Speaker 3: and make the best help you make the best decisions.
- 16:01Speaker 2: And you know.
- 16:01Speaker 3: With our simple pricing, we do go out and do
- 16:05Speaker 3: a market based pricing daily on all our vehicles and
- 16:08Speaker 3: adjust them to to what is a fair fair value
- 16:12Speaker 3: for all our cars. And we do that, you know,
- 16:15Speaker 3: so that you know, to make the negotiation simpler, make
- 16:17Speaker 3: it easier for you to get an actual, uh, you know,
- 16:21Speaker 3: true payment and know what you're going to it's going
- 16:23Speaker 3: to cost.
- 16:24Speaker 2: You don't have hidden fees.
- 16:26Speaker 3: And things that are you know that you know, we've
- 16:28Speaker 3: tried to clearly say what we've if we've added something
- 16:32Speaker 3: to the vehicle, what we've added, and what's optional or
- 16:35Speaker 3: not and just make all that as.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Clear and simple as possible.
- 16:38Speaker 3: And that's a real tenet of how we do business
- 16:41Speaker 3: and and we're going to keep doing that.
- 16:43Speaker 2: And if that's.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Attractive to you, come talk to our team. You know,
- 16:49Speaker 3: I know a lot of people have been asking about
- 16:52Speaker 3: our sale of the Forward store that is progressing. We're
- 16:55Speaker 3: working with Bill Knight Ford to sell the Forward Store.
- 17:00Speaker 3: We are planning to keep Toyota. We're going to keep
- 17:03Speaker 3: going and do what done just says done now for
- 17:05Speaker 3: ninety five years here in Oklahoma is taking selling cars,
- 17:08Speaker 3: taking care of our friends and family and great employees
- 17:13Speaker 3: we have, and you know, I'm really well, it's sad
- 17:17Speaker 3: to have the relationship with Ford end. You know, it's
- 17:20Speaker 3: a new day and it's not the end of it.
- 17:23Speaker 3: It's really another beginning. And you know, we're a third
- 17:28Speaker 3: generation company or the fourth generations. They're working at the
- 17:31Speaker 3: dealership and that's all rare and we do want to
- 17:34Speaker 3: keep that going. And you know, to think that in
- 17:37Speaker 3: ninety five years, we hadn't had to adjust and change
- 17:40Speaker 3: and adapt.
- 17:40Speaker 2: You'd be wrong the wait ten minutestures and other change.
- 17:45Speaker 3: No, it's true, and you know that it's one of
- 17:50Speaker 3: those things where it kind of has a life of
- 17:53Speaker 3: its own in some ways. And you know, I'm proud
- 17:56Speaker 3: to be a part of that. It was wasn't something
- 17:57Speaker 3: I really planned to do or expected to do at
- 18:02Speaker 3: I didn't want to do it when I was young,
- 18:04Speaker 3: and and but it did attract me in the end.
- 18:07Speaker 3: And I love the business and the people that I
- 18:10Speaker 3: work with, and and the opportunity to serve our customers
- 18:13Speaker 3: and the community and participate with things like Concern. And
- 18:18Speaker 3: you know, I know my grandmother was really proud of
- 18:22Speaker 3: of of that. I mean because she was at one
- 18:24Speaker 3: of the churches when they when they created this at
- 18:27Speaker 3: atu at the you know, a Methodist church, and they
- 18:31Speaker 3: were leaders there and and I know she was really
- 18:35Speaker 3: passionate about Concern and really wanted this to keep going.
- 18:39Speaker 3: And it's so neat that it is here and you
- 18:42Speaker 3: guys are going to be sixty years old, Am I
- 18:46Speaker 3: right on that here?
- 18:49Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 18:53Speaker 4: We'll do something big.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Yeah, we should have.
- 18:55Speaker 3: A really big party there we get a peanut butter drive.
- 19:03Speaker 3: And that is it brings up a good question, you know,
- 19:06Speaker 3: I say people are hearing that and they want to
- 19:09Speaker 3: get an extra dravia butter.
- 19:11Speaker 2: How does that work? I mean, do you take food
- 19:14Speaker 2: donations and things.
- 19:15Speaker 5: We were there Monday through Thursday, usually about nine o'clock
- 19:19Speaker 5: till about three. The back door has a doorbell if
- 19:23Speaker 5: you want to my jar peanut butter, a flat of
- 19:25Speaker 5: peanut butter. Our churches are always great when we you know,
- 19:29Speaker 5: hey we need peanut better, they will send out a
- 19:32Speaker 5: thing and then here come the churches with lots.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Of peanut butter.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Our churches definitely make up the majority of our food
- 19:39Speaker 5: that is donated. We do get food from the Food
- 19:43Speaker 5: Bank in Tulsa, but yeah, just we have a doorbell
- 19:47Speaker 5: on the back doors towards left.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Awesome And if they want more information. You mentioned the
- 19:54Speaker 3: website to tell you again.
- 19:55Speaker 4: It's concernedcres dot com. Yeah, it's the Cares at the
- 20:01Speaker 4: s at the end, and you can purchase tickets and
- 20:04Speaker 4: see the opportunity to put an ad in the program
- 20:08Speaker 4: sponsor and also if you want to just do any
- 20:12Speaker 4: type of donation, it's very easy to click through. If
- 20:16Speaker 4: there's questions that you have, you can always call us
- 20:19Speaker 4: at nine one eight three three six four six nine three.
- 20:23Speaker 3: And there are people out there who probably wouldn't look
- 20:26Speaker 3: forward to lip syncing unlike me. Well, no, I'm comfortable
- 20:30Speaker 3: on the radio after all these shows.
- 20:33Speaker 4: So we had somebody that is I don't know if
- 20:37Speaker 4: you know, he plays Batman for various things, and he
- 20:43Speaker 4: reached out and is going to actually do a teenage
- 20:47Speaker 4: Ninja Turtle song of sorts. I'm not exactly sure what
- 20:51Speaker 4: he's going to do, but it'll be great and just
- 20:54Speaker 4: to see the performance and what people put into it,
- 20:56Speaker 4: in the passion that they have for performing.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I was kidding. Some people are very really enjoyed it.
- 21:04Speaker 2: I have we do some.
- 21:06Speaker 3: Very okay at our Christmas party offer for the dealership,
- 21:09Speaker 3: and there's there's a few very talented people at the dealership.
- 21:12Speaker 2: That I would do. Yeah, I know, well, yeah, you know.
- 21:19Speaker 2: It is more of a performance.
- 21:21Speaker 5: Our reigning champs are actually pantries from the other Missy
- 21:26Speaker 5: Misty Warshow over at Mary Martha's Group together Veronica Ramirez
- 21:31Speaker 5: over at Salvation Army.
- 21:34Speaker 2: And they practice and they.
- 21:36Speaker 5: Did astronomical lusterear it was so great.
- 21:39Speaker 4: They did a Bruno More song it is.
- 21:42Speaker 5: There's a little video on the website to just kind
- 21:44Speaker 5: of the last battle, so you guys, if you want
- 21:46Speaker 5: to watch it just to see kind of what's going on.
- 21:48Speaker 5: It was hilarious.
- 21:50Speaker 3: So this is serious competition sometimes.
- 21:55Speaker 2: And how many performances are there?
- 21:57Speaker 4: How many acts to you we usually do eight to ten,
- 22:01Speaker 4: so four and then intermission with some amazing desserts from
- 22:05Speaker 4: local bakeries. Oh yeah, sugar.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Goos, bambinos, one song actors.
- 22:12Speaker 4: But you're very well entertained with Jason and Jony Elmore.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, they're great.
- 22:19Speaker 4: And they just bring in so much light and they
- 22:25Speaker 4: know when to interject and their performers themselves. So the
- 22:29Speaker 4: whole thing, the whole package is amazing, and we definitely
- 22:32Speaker 4: want to thank you Brad for the sponsorship. Sure our
- 22:36Speaker 4: premier sponsor is Trudy and we have Phillips sixty six
- 22:41Speaker 4: and Conicco sponsoring as big bigger sponsors, DSR in Skyway,
- 22:46Speaker 4: Honda and Bank First Harvest I forgetting one Cherokee Nation.
- 22:54Speaker 2: The you're a great list of sponsors. Chief Chuck was
- 22:57Speaker 2: holding so important. We all work together.
- 23:00Speaker 4: It's been a supporter of us for so long, and
- 23:04Speaker 4: we wouldn't be able to do what we do without
- 23:07Speaker 4: the community support that we do receive.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Yeah, no, you can tell.
- 23:10Speaker 3: It's a work of the Cohole community and all the
- 23:14Speaker 3: people involved from the churches on through to the sponsors
- 23:17Speaker 3: of your event and then just people who want to
- 23:19Speaker 3: come and lip sync or watch the great entertainment. So,
- 23:24Speaker 3: and tickets are seventy five dollars. It's all Saturday, September
- 23:27Speaker 3: twenty first at the Hilton Garden End and starts at
- 23:31Speaker 3: six pm, so I'm sure we'll get a big rush
- 23:35Speaker 3: on the tickets here.
- 23:36Speaker 4: So people tend to wait till the last minute, so we're.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Hassled out before I think.
- 23:42Speaker 1: So, oh it has but it is Bartleswild and that
- 23:45Speaker 1: does happen.
- 23:48Speaker 5: I can't say anything. I'm the last minute shoppers.
- 23:51Speaker 2: You know the routine. Wow.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Great to get to hear what's going on. And I'm
- 23:56Speaker 3: glad your capital improvements are nearing completion. There any other
- 24:00Speaker 3: things planned around the corner or needs you have?
- 24:04Speaker 4: I mean, well, the biggest issue, as everybody is having
- 24:08Speaker 4: the same issue, is the cost of food and the
- 24:12Speaker 4: availability of food at the food bank and the ability
- 24:16Speaker 4: to make sure that we have the right foods at
- 24:20Speaker 4: the right time. So we do partner with some of
- 24:22Speaker 4: the schools that will do like a quick peanut butter
- 24:25Speaker 4: or cereal drive in that second school, doesn't it. Yeah,
- 24:30Speaker 4: And we are now in talks with churches that haven't
- 24:35Speaker 4: supported us recently but are coming back home. They realize
- 24:40Speaker 4: that if they are able to refer people to Concern
- 24:43Speaker 4: as opposed to trying to take care of it themselves,
- 24:46Speaker 4: it's just a better product overall. So we're very blessed.
- 24:50Speaker 4: You'll see a little if you attend the event, you'll
- 24:54Speaker 4: see a little video of what we're thankful for, what
- 24:58Speaker 4: we're blessed for for twenty twenty four, so it's it's
- 25:03Speaker 4: been a really great year. We want to have an
- 25:04Speaker 4: open house, mostly for our church supporters, but also for
- 25:08Speaker 4: the community, just to show what we've done with the
- 25:10Speaker 4: capital improvements, like on a Sunday afternoon.
- 25:13Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Well, we'll look forward to hearing about that, and we
- 25:18Speaker 3: definitely appreciate what you guys do and want to thank
- 25:21Speaker 3: you for your service and all the great work that's
- 25:24Speaker 3: done in the community my Concern. So all these almost
- 25:28Speaker 3: sixty years now, it's an awesome legacy, and well it.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Can't beature in ninety five years.
- 25:33Speaker 2: But that's we all. You just got to keep going.
- 25:38Speaker 3: That's that was my grandfather's motto was get up as
- 25:42Speaker 3: early as you can, work as hard as you can,
- 25:43Speaker 3: do the best that you can, and leave the rest
- 25:45Speaker 3: of God. Yes, now that as well and memorized by
- 25:53Speaker 3: most of us in the field. You used to come
- 25:56Speaker 3: knock on the window every morning to make sure I
- 25:58Speaker 3: got up. Take us out, start the rounds. We'd take off,
- 26:03Speaker 3: go to we might have breakfast at the Holiday Inn
- 26:05Speaker 3: real quick, and then we go out to the hay Field,
- 26:08Speaker 3: and then we'd go by the work before it opened
- 26:10Speaker 3: and bring everybody donuts or something.
- 26:13Speaker 2: And then then we'd be off again. He didn't stop. Wow,
- 26:18Speaker 2: remember him, Well, well remember those days.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Anyway, We're lots of stuff going on out the dealership.
- 26:26Speaker 3: If you do need anything, reach out to us. We've
- 26:28Speaker 3: got like I said before, we're looking to purchase use toyotas.
- 26:32Speaker 3: We've got great manufacturer incentives and leasing deals on new
- 26:37Speaker 3: Fords and Toyotas. We've got great use vehicles, lots of
- 26:43Speaker 3: great models selection, even though there's not a huge number.
- 26:47Speaker 2: On our lot.
- 26:47Speaker 3: We'll go get what you're looking for. If there's something
- 26:50Speaker 3: that we don't have that you need, we will go
- 26:52Speaker 3: find it and get it for you and make it
- 26:54Speaker 3: all easy and simple with our simple price and our
- 26:57Speaker 3: non commissioned sales associates, and you can check it all
- 27:02Speaker 3: out online, ask questions, calculate your own payment, work your
- 27:06Speaker 3: own car deal, as we say, online by just going
- 27:09Speaker 3: in and putting in some information, and you can check
- 27:14Speaker 3: out the least payment versus a loan and see what
- 27:17Speaker 3: the term differences are, look at our dunge's discount and
- 27:21Speaker 3: see what the manufacturing's incentives are and make a choice.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Do I want the interest rate special or the rebate?
- 27:28Speaker 3: Does that actually lower my payment one way or the other.
- 27:31Speaker 2: You can do that online without.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Even talking to us, and it really makes it easy
- 27:36Speaker 3: when you come in. We try to take up right
- 27:38Speaker 3: where you left off online. That saves you time. And
- 27:43Speaker 3: you know, I know everybody's time is so important to
- 27:45Speaker 3: them these days, and everybody's busy and don't need to
- 27:48Speaker 3: spend a lot of time going back and forth, you know,
- 27:52Speaker 3: trying to.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Buy a car.
- 27:53Speaker 3: So there we go, another great car talk, all right,
- 27:57Speaker 3: ladies and gentlemen, you've been watching it.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Let's Ian too, our car talk program with the Dungeons
- 28:03Speaker 1: family of autos, right here on K one, the one
- 28:05Speaker 1: you trust,
