Transcript
- 0:03Welcome to the nerd polity. Hi. This is Nick Nastasu, story editor
- 0:09on Star Wars, The Clone Wars and Star Wars bad Batch, and you
- 0:14are listening to aggressive negotiations. This is aggressive negotiations, and I am one
- 0:26of your hosts, John Mills. I am delighted as always to be joined
- 0:31by Jedi Master Matthew Rushing as we prepare for our commentary in this episode on
- 0:37the final episode of season one of the bad Batch Camino Lost, Matt,
- 0:45are you ready for the emotional ride that we know we're about to go on?
- 0:50You know, John, just as I wasn't ready for Paradise Lost,
- 0:55I'm not ready for Camino Lost. I mean, this is this is this
- 1:00is such a good episode. I cannot wait to revisit it. I've actually
- 1:03been tempted a few times to watch it before we do this commentary just because
- 1:11and I haven't. I have not given in. I've resisted temptation, and
- 1:15so I cannot wait to jump into this episode with you. And I would
- 1:19love it if people would jump in to Apple Podcasts and give us a star
- 1:23rating and review. We would always appreciate it. There are roughly four point
- 1:29two seven billion star Wars podcasts out there you're choosing to listen to hours,
- 1:34We greatly, deeply appreciate it, and if you want to show us some
- 1:38of that love. We never ask for your money, We never ask for
- 1:41anything. We don't even have any you know, anything to hawk here on
- 1:45the show, at least not yet. I don't know. Maybe maybe we
- 1:47could. I mean, I'd offer to sell hair clippings, but I'm on
- 1:51an uphill battle on that one. So you know, we would love a
- 1:55star rating and review. It would be great. You can interact with us
- 1:57on social media at the Jedi Masters on Twitter and look for the network the
- 2:01Nerd Party over on Facebook and Instagram. And I wasn't lying at the end
- 2:06of last episode when we finished Return to Camino. That was an episode that
- 2:13ended perfectly and is exactly the way the first part of a two parter should
- 2:19end. Where when the credits went, I said, no, no,
- 2:23no, no, no, no, this is no I want the second.
- 2:25I want it now, I want it now. That is how you
- 2:30know you have master storytellers sitting there guiding you, gently, taking you through
- 2:35the process, and you know that you're about to hit something big and with
- 2:38a title like Camino lost. What happened last episode, Rampart opened the salvo
- 2:46against Camino about against Tipica City, and now we know that we're about to
- 2:51embrace that as the Batch and Omega are stranded there during the assault. So
- 2:58with that, of course, Disney Plus, mister Iger, we heard you.
- 3:01You said that you're interested in getting back to licensing and physical media.
- 3:05So I hold out hope for a four k of We're holding you to that.
- 3:08Bob. You know, I know Bob's listening because he's a huge listener,
- 3:14and I you know what, he can deny it all that he wants
- 3:17to, but I know he's listening. Yeah, that's what we should do.
- 3:21Get t shirts that say Bob Iger's favorite Star Wars podcast. You know
- 3:24what, I'm on board with him, but I'm even more on board with
- 3:28giving everybody a countdown here on Disney Plus. Que up your machines or que
- 3:34it up in your head. We're going to do our best to give you
- 3:36a theater of the mind here, as we always do. I'm going to
- 3:38countdown three, two one, And when I say the word play that means
- 3:42hit play. We're not getting around the word play means play. So here
- 3:46we go official countdown starting three two one play all right Disney plus Lucasfilm logo
- 4:00and can I love? Lucas called it Lucasfield Limited because he loved the the
- 4:06you know, burnish company sound instead of like Lucasfilm Incorporated, so much cooler,
- 4:15so much I I it is. I would say that we're both a
- 4:18little biased on that one, but hey, that's just me so touche.
- 4:25That's a that's an excellent point in and on itself. Camino lost, You
- 4:30know, I am so as the episode opened up and you hear the alarms
- 4:34and you hear the weapons, and then you get this shot of rampart just
- 4:41as they reign destruction, and it even the juxtaposition of the burning city on
- 4:46top of an ocean planet. That's one of those haunting artistic decisions that you
- 4:51just, oh, yeah, okay, I hadn't even considered that. But
- 4:55I want to draw special attention here as we're seeing, you know, they're
- 4:58running through the halls, are getting knocked around, but those exterior shots of
- 5:02the city getting hit, Yes, there's so much proper weight to everything.
- 5:10It feels like an actual structure collapsing. It's amazing to me. Yes,
- 5:16that I'm seeing better effects editing in an animated series than in a lot of
- 5:21I mean Marvel shows or current Marvel movies. Yes. Well, and a
- 5:27part of this too is that, you know, we've talked so much about
- 5:30the lighting and the cinematography and everything like that that they do in this show,
- 5:34and I think this episode encapsulates everything that we've talked about in this entire
- 5:41season of all that they've learned in Star Wars, animation is coming to fruition
- 5:46here in this episode where they are probably doing the hardest things that they've ever
- 5:51done, which is the destruction of entire city on a water planet, and
- 5:57then, like you said, trying to create that way eat to make it
- 6:01feel real, and just seeing a clone trooper deliver the report to Rampart,
- 6:10but just drills in that that's not enough, is well, it's not enough
- 6:14to serve the Empire. You have to you have to show such complete loyalty
- 6:19to them, even as they're destroying something that you love, that's your your
- 6:24own home. It's a very Soviet Union sort of thing. Oh yeah,
- 6:28you know, Comrade Stalin is the greatest Stalin's dead. Oh I hate Comrades
- 6:31Stalin it's all about the next guy, so, which is funny because actually
- 6:38the new seasons of Season of Jack Ryan was kind of about that season three,
- 6:43so there's a lot of that in there. But no, I think
- 6:46you're one hundred percent right that, uh you know, this is I think
- 6:49one of the reasons, and this really I think blaze an incredible foundation as
- 6:54to why, you know, as we'll move into this season two, why
- 6:58so many clones are, they begin to question order sixty six, they begin
- 7:03to question what's going on? Oh exactly, exactly, Yeah, the moment
- 7:08the Empire overplays its hand quote unquote and playing into that whole idea of oh,
- 7:13well, they're gonna wake up and it's gonna make a difference, and
- 7:15that soul crushing realization of no, they'll just wake up and realize they should
- 7:20have woken up previous right to this moment. But something I just I don't
- 7:25know if we've hit on this before or what we've realized or anything like that,
- 7:29but it just hit me and I feel like it's the first time I've
- 7:31I've recognized it. But the design of the droid, the bottom part of
- 7:38him, is actually reminiscent of the black Hole, which was a Disney movie
- 7:42that came out. That's a good point. Yeah, if you look at
- 7:45the way it's a reminiscent of Max and Bob. Yeah, it's a good
- 7:48point. Dang it. If this is the first time I'm recognizing that,
- 7:53I could kick myself because I love that movie The Black I've even I'm even
- 7:58one of the ten people in the world. Read the novelization by Alentine Foster
- 8:01from Wow That's all Yeah, so again too, as the city sinks into
- 8:09the water. The fact that you have fire and water and smoke and all
- 8:13of these things happening with the lighting and the animation, it's just it's an
- 8:18incredible testament to everything that they've learned, because I mean, when you think
- 8:22all the way back to the Clone War Season one, there's absolutely no way
- 8:26they would have been able to do this, right, Oh No. And
- 8:30the beauty too of this right here, Omega is saving crosshairs life a man
- 8:37who has tried to hunt her down and kill her basically, and she saves
- 8:43his life. And I think there's something just so absolutely beautiful about that idea,
- 8:48and I think it sets up a beautiful arc then for us to go
- 8:54on as we look towards you know, season two. So that's beautiful writing
- 9:01in the sense that they're not just thinking about this season, where they're thinking
- 9:03about the next season already, which is pretty awesome, Yes it is.
- 9:09And the the idea here too of Crosshair sliding down on his back, completely
- 9:18helpless, and he's still he's still having trouble letting go of his loyalty,
- 9:26right even in this moment, and even though Hunter's face is covered, you
- 9:31can hear in the vocal performance almost like I can't believe you, man,
- 9:35like they open fire, they're destroying the city like yish, you know,
- 9:41and then you're on it man like, yeah, you're you're here. They
- 9:46don't care about you. This is how little they care about you. All
- 9:50you are as an asset to the Empire, whether you're a clone, a
- 9:54droid, or a citizen, all you are is oh sorry, I have
- 9:56to stop the the cloning facilities themselves shorting out. I just that's a beautiful
- 10:07thing in and of itself, just and I think tragic beauty. Yeah.
- 10:11What makes it so tragically beautiful is the idea of all of its omega and
- 10:20it's the bad batch here watching where they were born die you know, and
- 10:30those those cloning tubes are still full of clones, yes, you know,
- 10:35and everything everything is dying here and then and they're watching it happen because and
- 10:41the clear subtext is not only is their home going away, not only are
- 10:46those clones in the tubes dying, but they're they're never going to be.
- 10:54There's never going to be anymore like this is they're seeing the moment that is
- 10:58the literal end of possibly ever having more brothers. Yeah, be born.
- 11:05Yeah, it's a good point. This is the end of that. Even
- 11:07if there are other cloners out there, it will never This is going to
- 11:13seem like I'm putting in a jokey way, but like the secret recipe is
- 11:16gone after this. Yes, well, Django dies and then everything's over.
- 11:24And then what makes that so interesting is because Omega would be the key to
- 11:30creating more clones, because she's a first generation clone unaltered, and therefore her
- 11:35DNA would allow cloners of the caliber of Camino Wins to be able to create
- 11:43more clones. So we're really setting up to just how much of an importance
- 11:50she still is to the story, especially if people were to find out about
- 11:56who she is. But even that idea too, just and we've touched on
- 12:03this before, just that so long as she and Boba Fette are alive,
- 12:09they're extremely special. They're extremely special because, like you said, they're the
- 12:16key. So long as they're alive, it's it's the spark of Camino is
- 12:22there as monstrous is what the camon Owens do. Honestly, you know,
- 12:26there's still that sort of you know, the Django's legacy is alive, the
- 12:35clones legacy is alive. They're all so long as they're alive, like the
- 12:39importance of carrying on and you know, memory and tradition and the past feeding
- 12:48into the present in the future, like that's all there. I also really
- 12:52love this whole idea of you know, Crossair and Hunter having this argument about
- 13:00you know, soldiers follow orders and Hunters saying, well, blind allegiance is
- 13:05not allegiance at all, you know, and this, this, this is
- 13:09the key argument between these characters, and this is what it means to actually
- 13:16have choice and free will instead of only being able to follow orders. And
- 13:22Crosshair additionally, they're all going to die here because of your failed leadership.
- 13:28You can tell. Crosshair feels like if everybody had just been better clones,
- 13:35the Empire wouldn't have felt the need to do this. He still isn't seeing
- 13:37that the this was what was going to happen, no matter what they happen
- 13:41to be a part of this story. But even if they didn't exist,
- 13:45this is exactly what the Empire was going to do exactly. Yeah. Well,
- 13:50and I like what you're saying. They're about him, you know,
- 13:54thinking that if they had just been better clones, you know, they the
- 14:01problem is is they're made exactly what they were meant to be, which is
- 14:03they can think independently, you know, which makes them superior to droits.
- 14:11Yes, and that's exactly why they all had the chips installed in the first
- 14:13place, right, It's because Palpatine absolutely do that they would be a problem
- 14:20if they were doing exactly what Clone Force ninety nine and other clones are doing.
- 14:26And Palpatine was always thinking of robbing the possibilities of problems for himself.
- 14:31As obi Wan says to Luke, the Emperor knew as I did, if
- 14:35Annakin were to have any offspring, they would be a threat to him.
- 14:37Exactly. Palpatine knows the clones are a threat. They eventually all have to
- 14:41go away and we get back there's the argument again, Recker trying to make
- 14:52Crosshair Sea sense, and we double back to an argument we had in the
- 14:56very first episode of Tech being the one saying, Oh, it's just his
- 15:03nature, that's just who he is. So in a sense, what's bizarre
- 15:07is Tech is this um you know, uh, you know, like a
- 15:15determinus sort of mindset where it's like, if you boil his argument down,
- 15:20the Batch is doing what they do, not because of what we're talking about
- 15:22with free will, but because that's just in their nature to do it.
- 15:26Across is just doing what's in his nature to do it. So Tech,
- 15:31i think, is a classic example of somebody who gets to an end point
- 15:37but takes a different path from what I would or what Hunter did or what
- 15:41Record did. And it's interesting because that shows that everybody can get to the
- 15:46same point, but they don't all. You know, again, to call
- 15:48back to a line from from from another character in the Live action Original Trilogy,
- 15:56you know when when when Leigh is talking to Luke about Han, you
- 16:00know, he has to follow his own path, no one can choose it
- 16:03for him, right, Yeah, Well, and that's such an important thing
- 16:07too, when you think about these characters in particular, is this idea of
- 16:11nature and nurture, right, And one of the things that made the Clones
- 16:18different was because of their association of being led by Jedi. And yes,
- 16:25you know we see that from the very beginning. The very first episode of
- 16:27the Clone Wars that you know was broadcast on television was Yoda telling the Clones
- 16:32how individual they are in spite of the fact that they look the same,
- 16:37look sort deceiving, don't trust them, right, And it's it's really about
- 16:44their personalities there and all of these things. And I think that's that's the
- 16:48thing that makes this so special and really cool, is that we've been we're
- 16:56actually watching the progression of themes that's started all the way back at the very
- 17:00first episode of the Clone Wars. M and I want to give a special
- 17:07nod to the fact that we had a big old sea creature because one of
- 17:11my favorite things about Star Wars from the very start was the presence of just
- 17:18weird ass creatures that would just show up because that is actually how the world
- 17:23works, where you just trust me, I live in a place where you're
- 17:26going along. He's like, oh, look, a venomous snake. Yeah
- 17:29cool. Oh crocodile No, no, we're alligator alligators, so there are
- 17:33some crocodiles, but that's mainly because of jabronies. That. Yeah, the
- 17:37typical story. This will make a good pet Oh, I beg to different
- 17:41champion. I I love that cross we reintroduce everything about what's important about this
- 17:59last because Crosshair hasn't been in it yet. So I think it's terrific.
- 18:03Because it's a two parter, it gives you that refresher. Basically, it's
- 18:08an inscript reason to recap what somebody might not remember from the previous episode,
- 18:15which is very good television episodic explanation. You know, any long running show
- 18:22has to be able to work back in an explanation that's not going to annoy
- 18:26the people who do remember, but also edify the people that don't right well,
- 18:33And I think the other part is that it does help the entire audience
- 18:38remember that Omega herself is very special and is a key to this whole thing,
- 18:47and that as we move, you know, through this episode and then
- 18:52and on into season two, keeping her safe is really important. And this
- 19:02argument between Crosshair and Hunter again, you know, this is what happens when
- 19:06you let a kid call the shots, well, Crosshair you were following,
- 19:11Like, Crosshair, is that that member of the party, And I will
- 19:14decide whether to bleep this or not. Who just constantly does all they do
- 19:21is complain, complain, complain, and it's never good And if there's a
- 19:26problem, oh yeah, well what did you expect? What's gonna happen.
- 19:29It's like people like this are in every group and you just every so often
- 19:33feel like looking at them and going, you know, you went along with
- 19:34it, so maybe just shut your mouth, just be quiet for a hot
- 19:38minute. So it's like I can understand Hunter, Like what's really going on
- 19:45in Hunter's heart is he just wants to sock Crosshair in the face really hard.
- 19:49Well, And I think the thing that makes this so difficult, right,
- 19:52And even as a viewer, we are so frustrated because we want this
- 20:03character to see the light of day, right, And very few times in
- 20:07Star Wars have we seen a character continue to choose evil in light of everything
- 20:15that this character is being shown. And that's a difficult place to be.
- 20:22And I think it's an important subject for Star Wars approach, which is to
- 20:26see that there are going to be people who continue to choose this, and
- 20:33that's all of the people who like a rampart, right, they're choosing this
- 20:38because that's what they want, They desire, what the power that it's going
- 20:45to give them. They believe in it for that reason, you know.
- 20:48And what's interesting is that Crosshair has reasons that are driven by the fact that
- 20:56he can't choose otherwise because his and his connection to the Empire and the Emperor
- 21:08and his mission have been accentuated through manipulation of his brain. And so then
- 21:18the question becomes with this episode specifically, what will it take to break this
- 21:22man so that he would choose? Hm, you know, scary exactly,
- 21:29And that's kind of a scary thought. Yeah, And but there there is
- 21:34again, there is that idea that you, if you truly love somebody,
- 21:41you have to be patient with them even when they're being a dumbass. Yeah,
- 21:45sorry, true, And that's that's essentially the theme of Crosshair here in
- 21:48season one is even if the person is being and if we're called to love
- 21:56all, serve all, then aren't we supposed to be patient with everybody?
- 22:03Right? Well, and even even if they disagree with us on the core
- 22:07principles of things. Aren't we supposed to be patient? Yeah? Well,
- 22:11I think that also is a good reminder for ourselves, right, is that
- 22:17many a times we're the people that people are having to put up with in
- 22:21love and so um well not me, never me, I'm I'm I'm always.
- 22:29I mean, you know it's a burden, It's it's a joyous burden
- 22:32though. Yeah, yeah, you know that's what it is. Zee,
- 22:36you just agreed, thank you. Yes, yes, if you took that
- 22:40as agreement, then it makes me as buoyant as a medical capsule going up
- 22:44to the surface of Camino. Yeah. This is this is great. I
- 22:48love this. This is so Star Wars. It's actually reminds me slightly of
- 22:52the whole Indiana Jones and the keenia of the crystal skull. Let me get
- 22:56in the refrigerator, right, you know, just so many people angry by
- 23:00talking fact, but I mean it's the same kind of moment. I mean,
- 23:03come on, the prospect of their survival here is just as bad as
- 23:10Indie in a refrigerator. Well, and introducing the peril that of Omega,
- 23:17like we look, I won't lie. We all care so deeply about Omega.
- 23:23By this point, this scene where where the Droid has to rescue her.
- 23:29This is your ultimate test as a viewer. Yeah, and I like
- 23:33that. That's a bad way to put it, I guess. But the
- 23:37ultimate test of is this show succeeding in making me care about that character is
- 23:42when this happens, did I feel fear? Did I did I sit there
- 23:49and care very much about what? Yes, and I still do while we're
- 23:53watching it. I mean, I hate I hate when cards like this get
- 24:00pulled. And I'm not trying to pull this card, but yeah, you
- 24:03know, being a dad and like thinking of what a kid is going through
- 24:07trapped, you know, you wouldn't ever want a kid to go through this
- 24:11under any circumstances. Yeah, and I think that's a really good line from
- 24:17the Droid. Your path is clear. I've completed my objective, but your
- 24:22path is clear. That's a classic Star Wars line. There's there's added meaning
- 24:30to that, and this is this is also classic Star Wars. Right,
- 24:37I'm going to choose to do the much more difficult thing, which is self
- 24:41sacrifice to save a friend, And um, I think that's that's such an
- 24:49interesting point here in the story. And I think one of the things is
- 24:55that it shows you just how much this character has learned right from the clones
- 25:03that she's been spending all her time with. I also love here that Crosshair
- 25:10repays his debt, so he's not, you know, Mega's debt anymore,
- 25:14because I don't think he could stay at it if he was. I also
- 25:18love the shot of Wrecker drawing his gun on Crosshair. Yes, that's fantastic.
- 25:25Trust but verify always always, Well, he's already said, you guys
- 25:30are wrong, I'm right, the empires the best, screw you guys,
- 25:33and so it's like, of course you shouldn't trust him. But the thing
- 25:37is, even even the shot composition of them talk about going to the Marauder
- 25:41and everything, the camera is placed so that we see Crosshair in the foreground
- 25:48and we can tell on his expression it's there's great conflict in him. How
- 25:56does he feel about what's happening right now? I sense great conflict in you?
- 26:02Yeah, there is no conflict, obi one once the thought as you
- 26:07do, um, I just that I would say that this shot over Omega's
- 26:15shoulder looking at the smoke on the water, and I will resist singing that
- 26:21line as hard as it is. That shot very evocative of the Jedi temple
- 26:27burning and this shot of all of them looking out classic family shot in Star
- 26:33Wars. This is the type of shot I would I would be like,
- 26:36yeah, frame that for me, even with old sour Puss Crosshair in the
- 26:38background. M hm, So difficult decision, yeah, I And it's so
- 26:56and again like the writing again, why can't I get this on other live
- 27:02action shows and multiple properties. You know, we have different things. That
- 27:07doesn't mean we need to be enemies. It's like, Wow, look a
- 27:10terrific lesson for people to learn, regardless of your age. Well yeah,
- 27:15no, I think it's it's one of the most poignant lessons of this entire
- 27:18season, and it speaks directly to the situation that we're in now and the
- 27:23situation that we've seen throughout history, right, And that's that's the issue that
- 27:30has been created, especially with the Empire, which is that if you're not
- 27:33for me, you're against me. It's exactly what Anakin said to Obi one
- 27:38on most of Arden, and that's what happened. So I gotta ask you,
- 27:48as Omega turns and you know you're still their brother, Crosshair, you're
- 27:56my brother too? What what? I just soul crushing line for somebody to
- 28:02hear right, like talk about kill him with kindness sort of thing. But
- 28:06I got to ask you when this scene happened, was your first thought,
- 28:11Okay, Crosshair's back next season, or was it how's he going to get
- 28:15it? Like? What where were you with his fate? I actually really
- 28:22loved his fate. Actually, I thought it was great because it was one
- 28:26of the first times that Star Wars had gone in the direction of no redemption
- 28:32for this character at least yet. So and here's another question. When you
- 28:37saw this shuttle come in and where it landed, did you also have a
- 28:44giggle and then oh my gosh, Oh my gosh, Oh my gosh,
- 28:47Oh my gosh, are they doing it? Are they doing it? Did
- 28:48you have the same reaction? Yes, Yes, there's a lot to love
- 28:56in this whole thing. There were republic commandos uh. And we are here
- 29:02on Mount Tantis uh and you are leading a camino and scientist there, which
- 29:10immediately makes you think of the fact that the Empire is very interested in controlling
- 29:15cloning still, which of course ties all the way to the sequel trilogy.
- 29:19Uh. And of course even the Mandalorian too. So um, I think
- 29:26it's amazing. It's it's such a good end. It's a fantastic end,
- 29:32and it's I when when I saw them flying in, it was it was
- 29:41literally such a like such a giddy love mark moment where I saw it and
- 29:48I said, I cannot believe I'm seeing what I'm seeing. It is akin
- 29:52to when Rebels brings thrown in and I go, no, really is that
- 30:00like, don't don't you toy with me? Don't you toy with me?
- 30:03You made this what I think it is? And I yeah, and yes,
- 30:11the whole idea of how each piece can be even better than the last,
- 30:19but also in its superior nature help support and enrich what came before.
- 30:27Bad Batch with that one scene all of a sudden makes itself so integral to
- 30:37the entire story. This is this is beyond world building. This is now
- 30:42key piece of the puzzle build and you know it's a key piece of the
- 30:45puzzle just in that one scene. Well, and I think the beauty of
- 30:49this is that it became very clear to me with the Bad Batch especially,
- 30:57but even things that we were doing with The Mandalorian is that these series were
- 31:04ways that we could tie things together more cohesively throughout all of Star Wars again,
- 31:15from the prequel trilogy all the way to the sequel trilogy, that this
- 31:18was trying to find ways to make all of these things make sense, and
- 31:23to me, that's really fun. But more importantly than that, I think
- 31:33the bad Batch succeeds in creating a story which is interesting to follow because of
- 31:38the place that these characters are in. And what's great about this series is
- 31:45just about you know, the only other series that's like this, right is
- 31:51Rogue one and and Or in the sense of like they had characters to which
- 31:56we had no idea what their history is going to be, and therefore you're
- 32:04watching it and you're thinking, where is this going to go? What's going
- 32:07to happen to them? Because anything can happen to them, And so I
- 32:12love that about this show. And again, as we look towards the you
- 32:16know, season two, now, the fact that you know, season two
- 32:20has started for us, we're really enjoying that season and a lot of these
- 32:25thematic elements are playing out even further in that season. It's fantastic and so
- 32:31hopefully you know, everybody's enjoyed the fact that we've been doing these commentaries and
- 32:38you know, I'm excited to dive into some other Star Wars topics, but
- 32:42this was a lot of fun. I agree, and I will cap off
- 32:45what you're saying by saying that bad Batch does not presume its role and it's
- 32:53importance. It earns it. And that is what makes it a phenomenal show.
- 33:00Is this is not something being released that says, yeah, you have
- 33:01to care about it because you know it's got the label on it. It's
- 33:05saying I'm going to earn your love, and it does. And that's why
- 33:09rewatching season one, especially as season two is underways, has been such an
- 33:15incredible treat. But a real treat, Matt, is when people interact with
- 33:20you online. So where can people find you? Out there on the wilds
- 33:23of the Internet. So you can find me all over the place on social
- 33:28media. The name you'll want to look for as Matt Rushing zero two,
- 33:30Twitter, Instagram, Letterbox, and Vero are the places that I am most
- 33:36active and so I'd love to interact with you in any of those places.
- 33:39You can also find me here on the network with a completed show called owl
- 33:43Post with Drey Kaufman talking through every single chapter of the Harry Potter series one
- 33:49chapter at the time, and then over on the TF Network doing a lot
- 33:52of shows. One is the six O two Club. John Mills is a
- 33:54frequent guest over there, as well as the bonus shows that we do together
- 33:58Snyder Cuts as well as assembling Avengers, so please look for that. You
- 34:02can also find me doing literary treks about the books and the comics of Star
- 34:06Trek, the Orb about Star Trek, d Space nine or five about Star
- 34:09Trek, Enterprise, Saddle Up about Strange New Worlds, and the Artificial Tango,
- 34:14which we are now covering right We are currently covering the third season of
- 34:22Star Trek Card, so you want to check that out. But John,
- 34:24you know, maybe people want to lament the loss of Camino with you.
- 34:29Where can they find you? Oh, you can find me as Kessel Junkie
- 34:32and unaltered Clone making his way on the wilds of the Internet. A lot
- 34:37of times, though, I'd say that it's more fun to hang out on
- 34:39Letterbox. That's really the social network that I'm sort of like. Even when
- 34:45I give up other social networks for a time, Letterboxes when I stick on
- 34:47because you just talk about movies and I love to do that. And speaking
- 34:50of talking of movies. You can also find me here on the network,
- 34:53co hosting a show called house Lights where we look at the work of directors
- 34:59through different lenses as phases, blah blah blah. We come up with all
- 35:00sorts of crazy combinations because let's be honest, we're doing this for the love
- 35:06of the game, so why not find a reason to love the game?
- 35:08And with that said, Master Rushing, I think it's time to close these
- 35:14negotiations. John, negotiations are closed. Join the revolution, Join the nerd Party.
