- 0:00Karen Kenney: It's the Karen Kenney show. Hey, you guys!
- 0:04Welcome to the Karen Kenney Show. I hope you're doing super
- 0:07duper. I got to tell you, I'm feeling pretty good. I'm fresh
- 0:12out of the shower, and fresh out of the shower, my hair's still
- 0:15drying, and I'm feeling a little fresh. I'm feeling a little
- 0:22sassy, a little sassy in the mouth right now. So I'm just
- 0:26gonna dive into this sucker. You, you, you may have heard me
- 0:30kind of talk about this topic before. It's definitely
- 0:35something. Oh my god, this is just something that drives me a
- 0:40little bit crazy about humans, and I don't want this all to be
- 0:44like just an episode on on my pet peeves. Really, I just want
- 0:48to use this as awareness. And remember, everything I say is
- 0:52from my ears first. You know, everything I say is from my ears
- 0:55too. So I'm not picking on anybody too much, but I am going
- 0:57to tell you a little story where it might feel like I'm picking
- 1:01on somebody, I'm just kind of using them as an example, but
- 1:05this is just something that kind of grinds my gears, as they say.
- 1:09So I think I'm just going to call this sucker. Like, stop
- 1:11half-assing it. Just stop half-assing it. Stop half-assing
- 1:18what, KK? You might say, stop half-assing your life. Stop
- 1:23half-assing your work. Stop half-assing your relationships.
- 1:28Stop half-assing your art. Like whatever you're doing, whatever
- 1:32you're doing. I really do feel like look. If it's worth doing,
- 1:38it's worth doing well. You know what I mean, and I get it. I get
- 1:43it that there might be some little instances where you're
- 1:47like, I was just throwing together a quick meal. I kind of
- 1:50half-assed the meal. I just threw some lettuce in a bowl
- 1:52with the whatever. That like use your common sense, right? Use
- 1:57your common sense here. There's always exceptions to the rule.
- 2:02There's always nuances, etc. But let's just kind of get into this
- 2:06whole half-assing it because I remember being a kid and my
- 2:10stepfather always, always telling us, right? You know,
- 2:14don't half-ass shit. If you're gonna do it, do it right. That
- 2:17was the big. If you're gonna do it, do it right. So it kind of,
- 2:21it kind of like yeah, got programmed into me, kind of got
- 2:23drilled into me, but it is a quality, right? I mean, there's
- 2:27a lot of things. There's a lot of things my stepfather did not
- 2:30fucking get right, but that was one of them. You know, teaching
- 2:33us, teaching us to be not afraid of a little hard work, and
- 2:37putting some care and attention into what we're doing, because
- 2:41it's not necessarily about the thing, the the the half-assing
- 2:45it isn't just about the thing you're doing, whether that's you
- 2:49know writing something or cleaning something or creating
- 2:54making something, whatever, right? It says something about
- 2:57you, so that part's important, and we'll come back to it. But
- 3:00that phrase "half-assing it, you know, it sounds like it would be
- 3:03kind of a current phrase. It would be a word that didn't
- 3:09exist until maybe like the 60s, the 70s, whatever. But this
- 3:13sucker has been around. I found examples of as far back as like
- 3:171863, 1863, Somebody wrote the word half-assing it, and they
- 3:24were using it to describe a general during a time of war.
- 3:28And some of the people say didn't come on the scene until
- 3:31like 1932. But when you look it up in the dictionary, there's
- 3:36all kinds of different ways that it gets described. And I listen,
- 3:39you guys. When I run down these words, when I run down these
- 3:41words, I want you to like fine tune, fine tune your ears,
- 3:47because I don't think any of us ever want to be referred to in
- 3:51this way. I don't think any of us ever want to be called or
- 3:54associated with the words I'm about to say. So half ass
- 3:58meaning mediocre. Oh my God! Who wants to be mediocre? There
- 4:03might be some things where you're like, yeah, I'm a
- 4:05mediocre bola, and you're like, fine. But we're talking about if
- 4:09things matter, like important things, mediocre, insignificant,
- 4:15inadequate, ineffective, incompetent, incompetent. not
- 4:24serious, right? I was just like, oh my god, like I don't want to
- 4:28be described in any of those ways, and hopefully you don't
- 4:32either.
- 4:33Now I know sometimes it's funny that word, like, hey, he's like
- 4:36half-assed, and I half-ass the job, right? Nobody wants
- 4:40half-assing. Everybody wants. Somebody once said to me, "Does
- 4:43that mean people want full-assing? Like I don't know.
- 4:45Maybe there's a better way to say that. But last little
- 4:49etymology thing I'll tell you is that somebody once said that the
- 4:53word half-assing it could have been a humorous mispronunciation
- 4:59of the word half. Right, you can see how it might. If you think,
- 5:03look at the spelling and the way that it is said, like haphazard,
- 5:06you can see how it might be like half-assing. You know what I
- 5:08mean? But here's the thing: this is why it's been on my mind and
- 5:12on my heart. So I was recently, a friend of mine was out of
- 5:16town, and I was watching their business for them. I was kind of
- 5:20like you know, quote unquote. We'll call it quote unquote
- 5:23manning the desk, right? Like I was representing. I was holding
- 5:26down the fort, as I like to say. I was holding down the fort in
- 5:28their absence, and while I was there, like you know, different
- 5:32people were coming in for like different things, and this one
- 5:35service worker came in, and they were in the building and doing
- 5:41they were let's just put it this way they're a window washer
- 5:44that's what I'm comfortable saying they were a window washer
- 5:47and the guy comes in and he's in the window and he's got his
- 5:52little bucket and he's got his squeegees and he's got his he's
- 5:55got his little towel and stuff like that right the water the
- 5:58cleanser whatever you know what else he had, though, you guys?
- 6:07You know what else he had? He had a shitty attitude. That's
- 6:09what he had. His his dissatisfaction, whether it was
- 6:15with the day. I mean, it was a gorgeous day out. It was wicked
- 6:18sunny. I don't know. I could have a problem with the weather.
- 6:20Whatever that was going on, that was not a happy man. That was
- 6:23not a happy person. And this dude came in, and he's in. He's
- 6:27cleaning the window, and I'm like looking at the setup, and
- 6:30I'm immediately clocking like three ways where this can go
- 6:33wrong. I'm like, he could step on this, trip on this. So I say
- 6:36to him, "Would you like me to move that for you? Yeah, yeah.
- 6:42If you could, yeah. If you could, that that you know, yeah,
- 6:45that'd be good. Not yes. Thank you. Appreciate it. Like
- 6:50nothing. Just like attitude, you know. And I was like, wow, this
- 6:53is so not soothing. And like, let me say this. Let me say
- 6:59this. If you're somebody that's going to come to my house and
- 7:02work on anything, whether you're pumping my septic, fixing the
- 7:06sink, changing the filters on the water filtration system,
- 7:10cleaning the frigging fireplace, whatever's happening, I'm
- 7:13usually right there watching and asking a bunch of questions.
- 7:18Now, I'm not saying that's not annoying to the practitioner,
- 7:23but I really do it out of genuine curiosity. I am
- 7:26fascinated by people who do jobs that I don't do. I'm fascinated
- 7:30by people who have knowledge that I don't have, and I like to
- 7:34learn new things. And I like to find out about the people who
- 7:36are doing the work. Right. So hopefully, I don't get in
- 7:40people's way. I try not to get in their way. I try not to be a
- 7:43pain in the ass. And I always say to them, if I'm bugging you,
- 7:46just tell me to scram, beat it, you know. But I usually like to
- 7:50hang around and like clog, like watch what people are doing,
- 7:54because I'm fascinated by things and people and life in general.
- 7:58So I'm watching this guy like clean the windows, and I'm just
- 8:03thinking to myself, like really, like really, dude. And he's
- 8:07dripping water on the floor, and the pots that he sees, he wipes
- 8:12out, but he leaves a bunch of other shit behind. And just like
- 8:16across the board, shitty attitude, sub par, half-assing
- 8:21at work, and I was just not impressed.
- 8:24And you know, through our conversation, because I engaged
- 8:29him a couple of times to try and like, you know, I was trying to
- 8:32be not only friendly but say, hey, is anything else I can do
- 8:35to make this easier for you, whatever? Because I could tell
- 8:38he was having a bad day, and I was like, I don't know if this
- 8:40is a permanent state of mind, I don't know if this is a
- 8:42personality flaw. I don't know what this guy's deal is, but I I
- 8:47try not to judge people on one interaction because here's the
- 8:51thing. You know what I can a bad attitude because I don't know
- 8:54his life story. I don't know what he's going through.
- 8:56Whatever that day, I can usually forgive that. I'm like, yeah,
- 9:00person's having a bad day. Chalk it up to a bad day. That's one
- 9:04thing. Your tone of voice, your energy level might be low. You
- 9:07don't make eye contact. All that stuff I can handle. But when
- 9:11somebody is paying you, and look, unless you're a wicked
- 9:16Richie Richie like Richie Rich, you know, remember that cartoon
- 9:18Richie Rich? Unless you're like a super duper richy rich these
- 9:21days. Every penny counts. It's hot out there right now. It's
- 9:25hot out there. Gas is like 14, 418 a fucking gallon at the
- 9:31pump. Groceries are like so expensive. Everything is going
- 9:35up except people's you know wages. You know what I'm saying?
- 9:39The expenses are expensing, but the income is not growing. The
- 9:43income is kind of staying the same for a lot of people. It's
- 9:46rough out there, and so you know. In by and large, a lot of
- 9:50my friends and people that I know, they're wicked hard
- 9:52workers. So if somebody is going to be paying you, they're not
- 9:57just paying you to half ask. The gig, you know what I'm saying?
- 10:02We we should be able to expect a certain level of effort, a
- 10:08certain level of care, especially when you're done that
- 10:11job. You're gonna turn around and you're gonna hand me an
- 10:15invoice that you expect to be paid. Well, I'm looking at the
- 10:19windows and I'm like, I literally had to stop myself.
- 10:23Number one, I'm like, this isn't my business, so I don't want to
- 10:27sour this relationship between the the business owner and and
- 10:31the person. But at the same time, I'm watching and I'm
- 10:36looking up, and these top windows had not been done in a
- 10:39while, and and because I was like somebody was there, like
- 10:44not he wasn't just doing the outside. He was able to come in
- 10:46and do the windows. I was so excited. I'm like, oh, he's
- 10:49finally because I knew that the windows hadn't been done. I'm
- 10:51like, oh, he's gonna get the top thing. It's gonna be so great.
- 10:53And as he's finishing up, and as he's done, and as he's writing
- 10:56with his attitude, with his pen and his attitude, and he's
- 10:58writing down like something for me to put the invoices and give
- 11:02the thing to my friend who owns the business. I'm looking up,
- 11:05and all I can see through the windows, because the sunlight is
- 11:07coming in, is all these streaks, just like all these streaks. And
- 11:12there was a part of me that was just like, why is that okay for
- 11:17you? Like, why is that level of craftsmanship okay for you?
- 11:24Like, did you check your work? Did you look and see? Like,
- 11:28because, dude, you're letting whatever is going on inside of
- 11:32you right now affect externally the kind of work that you're
- 11:36doing, and the reason why it kind of pained me, on top of the
- 11:41level that, like, it was almost as if this person didn't give a
- 11:45shit, and we're gonna get into that. What that says personally
- 11:49sometimes, or how people can view that. What also bothered me
- 11:54about it is that there's no way that I would ever recommend that
- 11:59guy, and I thought to myself, if another business owner that I
- 12:02know needed like their windows cleaned or whatever, I now know
- 12:06this this business's name, and I would never ever ever ever ever
- 12:10recommend this person because I've seen their quality of work,
- 12:13I've seen their quality of care, I've experienced their attitude.
- 12:17Like I said, the attitude I can get it.
- 12:19Like we all have bad days, but I was like the fact that you're
- 12:22like, the fact that you're coming in here, and you're kind
- 12:26of making a mess, and you're kind of just like slamming
- 12:29things around, and you're not making an effort to do the best
- 12:34because if that's the best job that you could do, you should
- 12:36not be a window washer. That's all I'm gonna say, you know. And
- 12:40so here's the thing, I believe this. When half-assing it
- 12:46becomes okay with you, when your attitude becomes like, "Yeah,
- 12:52whatever, that's good enough. Granted, there will be times,
- 12:57right, when duct tape is the answer. There are gonna be, of
- 13:02course, certain situations where the half-ass is all you can do
- 13:07because you have a lack of resources, you have a lack of
- 13:11skill, a lack of time, whatever. You're just crossing your
- 13:14fingers and hoping the duct tape sticks till it gets you to the
- 13:17thing. You put the mini ha ha wheel on when the when the
- 13:20full-size tire breaks down and you don't have a backup tire,
- 13:24you put on the little one and you cross your fingers and you
- 13:26hope you can get to the gas station or back home safely or
- 13:29whatever. I get it. We don't all have the sometimes the luxury,
- 13:35right, or the resources to do it the way we would want to do it.
- 13:39It's a wing and a prayer. We recycle, we upcycle, we you know
- 13:42we repair what we have. I just sewed one of my sweetie shirts
- 13:46yesterday, right? I've sewed this thing like four times in
- 13:48the past, and we both love the shirt. And I'm like, all right,
- 13:50sweetie, I think we've come to the place where this is going to
- 13:53be the last time I repair this. After this, it's going to have
- 13:55to be recycled. You know, we're going to do something with it.
- 13:58But I get it, right? Sometimes with your resources, you got to
- 14:02do what you got to do. But what you don't have to do is a
- 14:04half-ass job with your craft, with the thing that you do for a
- 14:10living. Like, why be shitty at your job? Why not have like what
- 14:16I consider to have your own code? And we can look at having
- 14:20a code. I want to do a whole episode about having a code. I'm
- 14:24just going to briefly touch on it here, but we got to have our
- 14:27own code, which means don't we want our work to reflect our own
- 14:33level not only of care for the customer or the client, but also
- 14:38our own self respect, our own self integrity, right? Like I'm
- 14:45like, there are gonna be days. Let's say like you're you're
- 14:48working out, right? Like I'm I'm you know strength training, da
- 14:51da da da, three days a week, blah blah blah. The only person
- 14:54it hurts, right? If I half-ass my workout is me. That's. On me,
- 15:00that's a decision that I make, and I'm like, I don't have the,
- 15:03you know, I don't have the energy. I do not have the whoop
- 15:06ass in the can today. I'm feeling run down. I'm feeling
- 15:09tired, but I'm going to give it my best, right? Sometimes your
- 15:11best might not be good enough, but at least the effort is
- 15:14there. At least you cared enough to like do it. But when somebody
- 15:18is paying you with their hard-earned money, with their
- 15:23possibly limited resources, but they need your skill set. Why
- 15:27wouldn't you want to go above and beyond? Why wouldn't you?
- 15:30You know why most people don't do it because there's a lack of
- 15:34self-not just integrity, but there's a lack of
- 15:40Self-management. You have to be able to manage the moment. You
- 15:47have to be able to pull your shit together and be like, "I'm
- 15:50about to walk into this business right now. It doesn't matter
- 15:53that I had a, I don't know, a fight with my sweetie. Doesn't
- 15:57matter that I had a bad night's sleep. It doesn't matter that
- 16:00maybe you know I'm not feeling great, but whatever the thing
- 16:03is, right? And trust me, I get it, right? Sometimes people are
- 16:08sick. Some people sometimes people don't feel good, and they
- 16:11still have to go to their job because they got to make rent
- 16:13and put food on the table. I'm not saying that. I get it.
- 16:15We all have bad days, but if consistently your attitude is
- 16:20shitty, and consistently your quality of work is not up to
- 16:24par. If it's half-assed, then you might want to choose to go
- 16:29work somewhere else. I've known people who have maybe been in
- 16:34jobs or gigs or whatever where other people would be like,
- 16:38"That's the last gig that I would ever want. Whatever it is,
- 16:41I I don't want to even mention a particular job because I I just
- 16:44think if you're a hard worker and you're putting in the time
- 16:47and the effort and you're trying to get paid, God bless you, man.
- 16:50You know what I'm saying? But there are some things where
- 16:52people might be like, oh my God, they do that job. How could they
- 16:55be? I'm like, to me, when somebody is doing, especially
- 16:59like a blue collar job or a hard working job or whatever, a
- 17:04manual labor job, and they do it with a smile on their face. They
- 17:09do it with genuine curiosity and care for the people that they're
- 17:12serving and the work that they're doing. Oh my God, I have
- 17:15such deep respect for that. I have so much admiration and
- 17:19respect for that. And I-that's how I was raised. And I try to
- 17:23right a lot of again, as I said, a lot of things in my childhood
- 17:26didn't go well. But that had working attitude and giving a
- 17:30shit and doing your best and trying to show up to your best
- 17:33potential. And look, we all fall short sometimes. Every single
- 17:36one of us, because we're human. We're not robots. We're not
- 17:39perfect. We're not fucking little AI bots, right? We have
- 17:42feelings, we have moods, we have bodies. We like sometimes have
- 17:45diarrhea, sometimes we're crampy, sometimes we're
- 17:48exhausted, sometimes we're whatever, right? I get it. This
- 17:52being human is not easy, but what I'm saying is we should all
- 17:57have our own kind of code of conduct and what we're willing
- 18:01to do, and like meaning like the level of care that we want to
- 18:05show, and it bummed me out for that guy because I now I'm like
- 18:09I can't in good conscience and not that not like look it's not
- 18:12like everybody's running to me and asking me like do you have a
- 18:15guy who washes windows but if it were to ever come up there's no
- 18:19way in good faith I could recommend that person. I just
- 18:22wouldn't do it, and that's too bad, right? Because that's
- 18:26potential lost business. But more importantly, I was like,
- 18:29why don't you give a shit about what you're doing and what
- 18:34you're leaving behind? And you guys know, if you listen to this
- 18:37podcast, the thing I say at the end of every episode is
- 18:40basically like: Can we just leave each other? Can we leave
- 18:43the animals and the people and ourselves and the planet and the
- 18:46environment and the situation like better? Can the thing be
- 18:50better for you having been there? Can you leave things and
- 18:54people better? Because if you can't, like, what are you doing?
- 18:58Like, take a look at that. Do you know what I'm saying? And
- 19:01this is a call, like I said, for all of us, right? Because when
- 19:06you half-ass it and you start to normalize half-assing it in one
- 19:11area, it can have like a trickle effect, right? It can have that
- 19:16trickle effect. That little bit of poison can spread, and it
- 19:19starts to get easier to make excuses in other areas, you
- 19:23know. And also, the other thing I would say: this is another
- 19:26tricky, tricky thing to look out for. If you're willing to go
- 19:30above and beyond for everybody else in your work and other
- 19:33people, but you make yourself last and you do like a shitty,
- 19:36half-assed job for your own mental health or the quality of
- 19:40the food that you eat, or the rest that you're getting, like
- 19:43if like why, like why don't half ask yourself either, don't half
- 19:48ass your dreams, your life, your work, your art, your
- 19:52relationships. And I know it's hard, you guys. I know people
- 19:56were all exhausted, aren't we? Aren't we all just a. Little
- 20:00fucking tired right now, right? It's like I could turn on this
- 20:06mic. What episode is this? Like 383 or whatever. I've been doing
- 20:09this for like over seven years.
- 20:10It's like I could just be like, ah, fuck it. I'm just gonna dial
- 20:13it. I'm just gonna like phone it in. I'm just gonna half ass it.
- 20:16It's like no, and I don't even get paid for this. I lose money
- 20:20having a podcast for Christ's sakes, but if I'm gonna do
- 20:23something, I'm gonna really try to pour my hat into it, you
- 20:27know, because that's the key that I kind of want. It's like
- 20:31occurring to me as I'm saying it out loud. When you're
- 20:34half-assing it, another way to say that is to half-hat it.
- 20:40You're half hotting it, and I don't want half-hatted anything.
- 20:47Yeah, I made you this meal, but I half-hatted it. Yeah, I'm
- 20:56teaching this yoga class, but I'm gonna, I'm gonna half-ass
- 20:59it. I'm gonna half-hat it. It's like what I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 21:02hold right club, but can you imagine? Can you imagine like
- 21:07showing up, paying money to a workshop where the person just
- 21:09is like unprepared and they don't give a shit and they're
- 21:12just like whatever? Or imagine me doing like a Thai yoga
- 21:14massage where I'm just doing like sloppy work and I'm not
- 21:18paying attention and I don't give a shit about the quality of
- 21:20the experience-it's like, are you out of your mind? Oh my god!
- 21:26But look, a lot of people normalize this. We normalize the
- 21:31half-assing, and I don't want to do it. And I don't want you
- 21:34guys. I don't want my listeners to do that. I want you. This is
- 21:38like my desire for you. You know, I talked about this once
- 21:43before, where I said to somebody, I walked into their
- 21:46space, and you know, when we got talking about like what was
- 21:50going on, I said to them, like, why is this? Why have you made
- 21:54this quality like okay for yourself? Like, don't you want
- 21:57more for yourself? Don't you think you deserve more? This was
- 22:00not a mean thing I was saying. P.S. By the way, this was a a
- 22:03conversation we were you know both having. I wasn't being
- 22:05mean. I wasn't being fresh, and I was like, "Don't you want
- 22:09more? Because like I want more for you. And at the end of the
- 22:12day, though, here's the thing: you're you're you're a spiritual
- 22:15mentor, you're a coach, you're support team, you're whatever,
- 22:20right? You're we can't we can't want more for you than you do.
- 22:25You've got to also want it. You've also got to want it, and
- 22:29how you show up in the world, and how you leave people, and
- 22:33how you leave your jobs, and how you leave your work, and I mean
- 22:36leave like what you leave behind after you give the invoice or
- 22:39whatever. Like it matters because it's how you build a
- 22:44reputation. It's how you build a name. And like I said, I know
- 22:48sometimes we just have bad days. But if you are finding that you
- 22:51are consistently half-assing it, consistently phoning it in,
- 22:56consistently feeling like, oh, my hat is only half in this. Who
- 23:02wants to be in any kind of relationship, transactional or
- 23:06otherwise, where where one person is just my hat's only
- 23:10half in it. So I want you to be full-headed with yourself and
- 23:16your work, whatever you're creating, right? Whether you get
- 23:19paid for it or not, but like your presence, your energy, your
- 23:23attitude, your curiosity, your enthusiasm. Right? Let's stop
- 23:29half-hatting it. Let's stop half-assing it, and let's let
- 23:32let's full-ass. Let's go. Start to get a little punchy. Let's
- 23:39let's full-ass it, right? Let's full asset. Let's full hot it,
- 23:43and hopefully, hopefully, something I said today lands.
- 23:47And you know, maybe it's something you needed to hear.
- 23:50Maybe you've just been, like I said, dialing it in, phoning it
- 23:53in, just kind of dragging ass and being like, whatever. But
- 23:56let's go back to these words. This is important. Mediocre,
- 24:01insignificant, inadequate, ineffective, incompetent,
- 24:05incomplete, not serious, haphazard. I hope you never get
- 24:10called any of those things. You or your craftsmanship. You or
- 24:14your art. You or your work. Right. So that's it. Right.
- 24:19Let's all do our best to have a level of effort, a level of
- 24:24care, a level of love that we're pouring into a thing because
- 24:29that's really what this is about. When you half-ass it and
- 24:32you half-hearted, what you're doing is you're being stingy
- 24:35with your love.
- 24:37You're not tapping in to your fullest capacity, and again, I
- 24:43know there's somebody out there saying, "But you don't
- 24:45understand my situation. I'm exhausted. I'm caretaking. I'm
- 24:49doing the. I understand this nuance to everything. Who this
- 24:54message is right for? You'll know. You'll hear this, and
- 24:58you'll go." Yeah, right. Like, yeah, maybe I want to. Right,
- 25:05you're gonna. It's gonna land. You'll know. So if it doesn't,
- 25:07if this isn't about you, then it's not about you. So that's
- 25:11all I want to say because this is about really. This is about
- 25:15really. It's about love and paying attention to our
- 25:19craftsmanship. That is showing love, showing up full-heartedly.
- 25:24That is showing love, not half-assing it. What half-assing
- 25:28says basically is, I don't really give a shit. I don't
- 25:30really care. And that's not how you're going to grow your
- 25:34relationships. It's certainly not how you're going to grow
- 25:36your business. So that's what I got for you guys today. Okay,
- 25:41little little love note from my hat, from my hat to yours, and I
- 25:45just appreciate you. If you're here, you can still hear the
- 25:47sound of my voice. Thank you so much for tuning in and
- 25:49listening. It's the beginning of September. I have all kinds of

- 26:14they come in. Some people weekly, some people monthly. So
- 26:18that's fantastic. My yoga class is already sold out, but once in
- 26:23a while somebody's vacationing or whatever in this room for a
- 26:25drop-in. So you can always just hit me up and say, "Hey, any
- 26:28room for a drop-in this week? Whatever, and of course the nest
- 26:31is ongoing. The nest is there, and you can again, you can find

- 26:46appreciate you. I hope you enjoyed your labor day and that
- 26:50you're having. And that's the other thing too. It's great
- 26:52timing, right? It's great timing that this is labor day. A lot of
- 26:55respect for people who labor. A lot of respect, right, for for
- 26:59the people who labor, and especially you know, being a
- 27:01blue collar kid from Lawrence, Mass, I have a soft spot in my
- 27:05heart for hard workers and people who care about the
- 27:08quality of their work. So, little love letter from from
- 27:11from me to all the blue collar workers out there too. Okay, you
- 27:15guys have a fantastic rest of your day wherever you go. May
- 27:18you leave the animals and the planet and the other people,
- 27:22excuse me, and yourself and the environment better than how you
- 27:25found it. Wherever you go, may you and your love and your
- 27:30energy and your presence and your attitude and your your full
- 27:35heartedness, right? Your haughtiness may it be a
- 27:39blessing. Bye. Hey, thanks so much for listening to the show.
