- The Drama Drop: Hey guys. Welcome back to the drama drop. There is so much going on in love and relationships. There's so many divorces, splits, get togethers, and then not to mention ultimatum season four dropped. I have a lot of opinions. So go ahead, get cozy. Let's not waste any more time and enjoy. Guys, what is going on in the air? It's like divorce split season. And I just, I don't know. There's gonna be obviously a theme with this episode. And I didn't do this on purpose, but it's pretty much gonna be centered around relationships, marriages, divorces, all the things. But something that we need to talk about because I never addressed it. There was just a lot going on. Can't remember what season of the podcast we were dealing with where I had to put my energy into something else, but I did want to talk about it. But now that something new has kind of stirred up about it, I'm like, okay, this is the time to bring it up. Jelly Roll and Bunny and their divorce. Okay. We need to talk about it. I have to talk about this because I'm just really confused by the whole thing. Also very fascinated by it. I've seen so many theories and conspiracies online about their whole situation. And it's just very intriguing to me because like I just don't understand it. And there, well, Jelly Roll's daughter, so you know, Bunny's stepdaughter, she was on live the other day basically saying, like, if everybody knew the real reason as to why Jelly Roll and Bunny were getting a divorce, the internet would crumble. And here's what I have to say about that. Okay, first of all, they are officially divorced, like that came out, okay. So Jelly Roll filed in May of this year. and I mean it's it's done like it's official, which is just absolutely crazy. But what I just don't understand is, you know, of course, when something like this comes out, everybody's gonna speculate, right? What went wrong? Who cheated on who? Where is the deception? Where's the betrayal? Like what led to this, especially because they were so public. About how much they love each other, how much they support each other. Like this is my best friend. That's my best friend. Like we are one in the same. And also, dare I add, their relationship was very not traditional, you know? Like they, well, I guess in Bunny's words, they had a free marriage. So whatever that really means. So it doesn't even seem like Ch I mean, I guess, you know, there's boundaries, you have stipulations, whatever that may be. So I guess cheating could be on the table. But, you know, they were very open about the relationship. And Bunny, you know, she has her own podcast. And so she would talk about the relationship a lot. Like there was a lot of seemed like fluid like within their marriage. So it's like, okay, would cheating really have been a thing? Maybe I know that that had been a situation in the past. I don't really know where they stand in terms of what. How open their marriage is to this day. But it's just very bizarre the way that this whole thing went down and how it was handled because neither one of them are bashing each other. Not that I think that you need to bash somebody when you're getting married, but you know, they're shouting from the rooftops, like, no, that's my best friend. Like there was no cheating involved. There was no lies. There was no deception. There was none of that. Anything that you're thinking that's not the case. And quit basically bashing the other person. They're my best friend. So it's just really confusing. why are we getting a divorce? That's what I want to know. And she also mentioned, too, that they're still gonna try to have a baby together. So I guess like they had been trying to have a kid, a baby, whatever it wasn't happening so naturally. So I think they needed to get a surrogate, which okay, you know, that happens like whatever. But they're still talking about doing that. I'm just I I need to know what could have possibly gone on in their marriage that they were like, okay, yes, divorce is the answer. Like if you're still saying this is your best friend, love them to death, s went through with the divorce, and you're still planning to have a child together, like it's So you're still you're gonna co parent with this person that you didn't really necessarily have to after divorce and but you're getting a divor like that's where I'm just really confused about. And also too, with how open they are within their marriage or, you know, the things that they've done, you know, kind of lived a crazy lifestyle and it's like they seem to love each and are obsessed with each other and they're not bad mouthing each other and they still kind of wanna have this life together, but they're going To get divorced and got divorced. I just need to understand what it could possibly be. And then with Jelly Roll's daughter going online, Bailey, sh you know, saying that there's so much that the internet, you know, doesn't know. But what could it have possibly be? That's so bad that they still want to be in each other's lives and are sticking up for each other and standing by each other essentially, that a marriage just was no longer fit. But Co-parenting is. I don't, I really like I'm trying to put myself in their shoes and have that perspective to see where in any sort of world that makes sense and seems like, yeah, that's the solution I want to take. Like that, that will be what will be best for both of us. I just can't find it. I've literally been roaming around in my brain and I can't find it. I don't, I don't understand. I've seen so many things you know, circulating online of He was getting into some legal trouble. And so if they get divorced, you know, it kind of almost like protecting his money, I suppose. So he didn't necessarily I don't really know the logistics of all of that, but it was just basically more of like a business divorce, if you will. Kind of protecting his money or assets, kind of having letting her it be under her. So when he gets sued, you know, there's not I don't really know how all of that part works, but I was like, okay, that's a a good theory. I've seen other things of, you know, he's kind of really turning his life around and being more religious, more, you know, he's been very open about that. His life has been turned around. I mean, it's no secret, you know, he's been involved with a lot of things like drugs, alcohol, you know, he went through this tremendous weight loss and, you know, I don't know, like just changing of lifestyles. And if he's wanting to be, you know, more religious and be more open about that. And then, you know, Bunny, her lifestyle is very sex positive and all of that. And she talks about that on her podcast. And those two lifestyles just don't really align. However, where I get confused on again is then why would you still want to have a child with this person? It's like if you can't see a marriage like a partnership. In terms of a marriage with somebody, I just don't see how that fits to continue to want to have a child and co-parent. It's like you're so worried about lifestyles of being together, like within a marriage. Like if you guys have two different types of lifestyles, but you're able to compromise and make it work for the both of you, perfect, excellent, whatever, love it. But if it's so much for you that you have to get divorced, why are you bringing a child into this world? Like if your lifestyles conflict so much. Why would you want to bring a child into this world to have conflicting lifestyles? Like, you're when you're with mom, all of this stuff is okay. But then when you're with dad, this stuff isn't okay. And like this is how we live. And it's just two very different you know, morals, lifestyles, what you expect, values, and all that stuff. So to bring a child into the world and then have those conflicting lifestyles that you couldn't manage to have as partners, it just doesn't make sense to me. I don't get it. So when I heard that theory, I was like, okay, like that makes sense. But then that was before I knew that they still wanted to go through having a child via surrogacy together. And so I just I don't know. The whole thing is very bizarre to me. I'm so curious to know what you guys think about it because I can't make sense of it. I can't make sense of it. The only thing that does make sense is there is some sort of legal issue going on and he may owe lots of money. So like However, in all legal terms, you know, I'm no lawyer, shocking, I know. But I'm sure that there's maybe some a business aspect to it. Because also, too, that divorce happened real quick. I feel like, well, maybe in Hollywood things happen a little bit faster. But I felt like that really happened very quick because yeah, he filed in May and it's still July. So I just I don't, I don't know. Like that's very fast. So I feel like that is the best theory that makes the most sense to me. I'll be curious to see how it plays out. Like, what if, you know, if they get married like after all that settled, if they get remarried? It's like, I just I couldn't live without the other person. So we're just we decided it's just best for us to just get back together. I honestly that's my prediction. My prediction in like the next five years, maybe max, that they get back together. so yeah, I'll be very curious to see if any legal things, lawsuits get put on jelly roll. I feel like then all dots will be making more sense. Whatever Bailey Ann is talking about in terms of the internet will freak out. That I mean, obviously we don't know. Also annoying. Like, go ahead and air it out. You already share everything. So, I mean, that'll be another thing, but who knows? Maybe that's just to keep the buzz going. Maybe she's bored. I mean I don't know. But again, she you know, she reiterated no one cheated. but I don't know. I don't know. It's just crazy. So yeah, I'll be, I'll be curio yeah. I'll be curious to see how that goes because nothing else really makes sense. And then we have Tom Segura and his wife, Christina. They're getting a divorce, which this may be very niche for a niche audience. if you're not really into comedy or knowing really anything about Tom Segura or whatever, but when that dropped, I was shook. My jaw hit the floor. Listen, I don't really follow Tom Segura that closely. Okay. I'm a fan of him. Yeah. I think he's funny. And the clips that I would see of him and his wife, Christina, like I thought they were hilarious. I feel like they had really good banter. I thought that there was a good chemistry. I really enjoyed them. So I'll be honest, I wasn't as deep into their relationship, but it was enough for me to know that it was shocking. You know what I mean? And so for those people that truly followed them, you know, listen to their podcast, loyal listeners, I can't even imagine. I just didn't see that happening at all. And I want to know more. I'm sure more will come out. I'm very curious to see how this is going to play out because allegedly, you know, like they have these businesses together. They have a podcast together, and they're going to keep doing that. I don't know how you can, unless you've been emotionally checked out for quite some time, but I I don't think that's the case. I mean, Christina, she you know, said it's a really difficult time for her and all of that. So obviously, you know, she's going through it. I don't know who Did the initiating of it. I don't fully know the reasoning. I mean, now of course everybody is going to look at everything with a different lens and go back and look at old clips and just kind of analyze conversations and maybe be like, that's where, you know, like look at that where things before it was like, my gosh, they're so cute, or they're just living life normally. I guess, you know, Tom, he appeared on an episode of Two Bears, One Cave, which is another podcast that he has. And he didn't have his wedding ring. so I guess that fueled speculation. And then fans also have noticed that him and Christina they haven't filmed or recorded a podcast on their joint podcast together since April. So I guess, you know, yeah, when you think about it, that is a really long time. And it's like, what is going on? So I guess they're navigating all of that, but still plan to move forward as business partners. I don't I just don't see how that's feasible. I really, I mean, I get it. You know, there's so much that goes into creating a business with somebody. So it's not that easy, but a marriage. And they were together for 18 years. They have two children. Like, what are you going to talk about? Cause I'm pretty sure, you know, their podcast, it was centered around relationships, marriage, and raising children and dynamics and trying to navigate all of that. So I just don't think. How is anybody going to be able to listen to that podcast and really hear it if that's not the reality for you guys? Unless they're unless they're gonna change kind of like the scope, the lens of it of being two, you know, divorced people once in a marriage. Now how do they co parent? How do they run b yeah I I don't know. I just feel like that's just too messy. If they do move forward with that, I really don't see it lasting long. I just don't there's just no way. but I mean, I feel really sad. I didn't, I did not expect that. And for it to be shocking for me to and not even really be too deep into a parasocial relationship with them, yeah. I was like, that is one for the books that I did not see coming whatsoever. But yeah. And then I mean, it just the list goes on. And I know these people weren't married, but can we just talk about? Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater. They are broken up. Are we shocked? No. No. Could have predicted that. Could have predicted that forever. I mean, no, I did predict it. I didn't announce it. I think we all knew, we all knew, this isn't shocking to us that her and Ethan Slater aren't together. Wicked's done and over with. What does she need him for anymore? You know what I mean? I just. They definitely didn't scream longevity. They didn't scream end game for me at all at any certain point in time. Like I was not convinced. I don't know if Ariana just has this thing. I mean, okay, first and foremost, let's just address. She's been through a lot. Okay. Like, let's just understand that a kid on Nickelodeon, who even knows what she went through working with Dan Schneider and all of that. I can only imagine. The type of things that she saw, heard, experienced herself. Then she dates Mac Miller. You know, obviously that was, I feel like, her true love type of situation, like maybe first love situation. You know, they had a very intense relationship, and obviously he passed away due to an overdose. And then, you know, she's has a concert, and then there's a bombing and Multiple people died, young children, people that were there to see her. And I'm sure she carries a lot of survivor's guilt. Like she has been through a lot of situations. So I don't really know, you know, her mental like I am sure that kind of plays a part into this, but it's just kind of crazy how she navigates relationships and what she how she goes from one guy to another guy very quickly. And it always seems like there's some sort of overlap. But with this, Ethan Slater kid in particular. yeah, he was fully with somebody else, had a kid. You know what I mean? She broke up a home. We'll just call it like it is. She broke up a home. I don't, and here's where I'm like, okay, is that just a game to her? You know what I mean? Cause it's like, what did you do this for? Now she's she's not with him anymore. She did the breaking up. She broke up with Ethan Slater. And it's like, was it just because he was around, you know, you're doing all the wicked things and he's just right there. And it's kind of like a a game for you, like, ooh, I can take your man, because she will, she will. And she did. She got Ethan to leave his wife, leave his kid, basically, uproot the home for what? Just to turn around and be like, bye, Ethan. And now she's with Ricky, who she's been with before. fans were freaking out about that. But it's just like, this is insane. One, it's like not shocking, they're no longer together, but just everything that you did, it's like, ooh, gotcha. And then now Ethan's left, like, okay. Like he's just standing in a corner somewhere, like, all right. I'm sure he's like knocking back at the door of his ex-wife, like, hey, hey, how y'all do it? You know, you know, that sound. but yeah, she's already moved on. I mean They dated, I guess, for nearly three years. Apparently it was amicable and it was fine. But I think what really just got everybody all in a tizzy is now, you know, she's dating her ex Ricky, which and he was a backup dancer for her a while ago. and now they are reconciling their romance and rekindling, you know, relighting the flame. And yeah, I mean, they are all over, you know, the internet, the paparazzi's taken several pictures of them. I mean, he's now going to her concert. She's on tour. So yeah, they are back together. And I guess Ethan, you know, he found out just through other people, you know, Ariana didn't tell him, which I don't know if she has to, if they broke up, but I mean, again, the timeline, that could have been a factor of where she he felt obligated to know that information. But I mean Apparently they were not dating when Ariana was still with Ethan. That was after the fact. And, you know, they just reconnected afterwards. And yeah. But I mean, I will say she looks a lot better with Ricky. Okay. No offense to Ethan, but I just never saw the vision. Okay. Maybe he's got a really great personality. Maybe he's really funny. But I don't think so. I'm I don't think so. I'm not. holding out for thinking like, he's gonna you know, he's not a Pete Davidson of the world. Like everybody's just like, Pete Davidson, like how is this? Like, how does he get all these beautiful women, like A-list celebrities? And he's this goofy looking comedian dude, lanky, tall, whatever. But the dude's funny. He's got personality. You know, obviously like there is something about him. I don't see that with Ethan, and I don't think he's gonna bounce back from this. so good luck to that. But Yeah. So there is just something in the air. There's all these splits everywhere, all these relationships ending just left and right. And it's things you just don't really see. Some you do see. But I'm just like, what is going on? So that just leads me into the next segment of our podcast that our podcast. See, it's it's our podcast of the podcast that I need to talk about. So like I said, it's all gonna be a theme. Ultimatum. Okay. Netflix dropped season four of the ultimatum. And listen, okay, I have a lot of thoughts, I have a lot of opinions, but before I get into that, I do want to just set a disclaimer for anybody that is going online to these individuals' Instagram accounts, whatever it may be, any social media platform, just leaving hateful comments, leaving hateful things in the messages. Are you okay? No, genuinely, are you okay? I think you need to look inward and reflect. Like, it is okay to have opinions. It's okay to not like somebody. It's okay to just, you know, maybe think negatively about somebody and just really have a strong opinion. Put that in the group chat with your friends. Don't put it online. Don't put it directly to that person. You know what I mean? Like, leave them alone. Like, that is just. Loser behavior, okay. They're dealing with a lot. You know, you try putting your whole relationship and your life out on a show for entertainment purposes. Because at the end of the day, it's entertainment. And one, as ridiculous as some of it could be, when you're just like, holy crap, are these people real? It's entertaining. You're tuning in to watch, right? You would be so bored if everything and everybody was normal and everybody treated everybody with respect and nobody did anything. crazy or shocking. And I'm sure they understand it. Also, too, they are not in charge of the editing, not excusing any behavior that I'm about to discuss. I don't really think any editing could change some of this stuff, but we're not they're not in charge of that. So I'm sure there's probably a lot of stuff on the cutting room floor that would have maybe provided some extra context or give extra reasonings as to why certain things played out. The way that they did with reactions and things like that. But, anyways, needless to say, I just wanted to say if you are one of those people that are going and leaving hateful comments, messages, whatever to these people, stop that right now. You're disgusting. You're no better than them if that's what your thought is. And just take it offline, talk to your friend about it, talk to your spouse about it, do an internal monologue, leave a diary, a voice note, record it on your phone, look back at it. Don't do it to them because one that makes you know better and it's just really weird. And I don't think they're gonna look at user four, six, seven, eight, nine told me to go whatever. I'm gonna go do that. No, just stop it. Okay. All right. So now let's get into the show. Okay. Ultimatum, Netflix, season four. If you guys don't know anything about the ultimatum, just really quick, just a premise of the show. It's another love dating show hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey. Okay, so basically it is a group of Like a set of couples and they've been dating for quite some time. And one of the couple, like one of the people in the couple is giving the other person an ultimatum. Basically, like, I'm ready to get married. So either, you know, propose or I need to get out the door, essentially. And so this set of couples, they which we'll get into. I don't really understand how this makes sense, but whatever. So for the purpose of the show, okay, these couples come on and then they break up, right? Then they're kind of dating the other set of couples. Okay. You're kind of going on some speed dating to kind of see like who you like and who you vibe with, who you could potentially maybe see yourself being in a relationship with. Then it gets to a point after all of that, there's the choice, okay? And then one person will pick another person from the another couple. To basically be in a trial marriage with, you know, you're gonna live with them, you're gonna live life, you're gonna just do things that you would in a marriage just to kind of see. And then after that trial marriage, pretty sure it's three weeks, then you get back with your original partner and do another trial marriage with them. At the end of that, then you have the proposal basically. So it's either you're gonna leave the show, engaged to the person that you came with, engaged to your The other person, like your trial, your the person that you met on the show, or you both walk away. Like this isn't for us, and you walk away alone. Okay. First, with just the premise, I don't really understand how you know, being in a trial marriage with somebody else helps in this situation at all. You either know or you don't. You know what I mean? Like, I don't think. Knowing somebody for a very short a period amount of time is gonna be like, yeah, this really is clicking for me. Like, I do want to get married. Maybe it does, because I mean, there are some people, you know, that I haven't watched, you know, there's there's two more episodes that are dropping. By the time you guys are seeing this, listening to this, those episodes will have dropped. But so not all of the season is out yet. And yeah, so like some people do get proposed, some people walk away. I don't think. In all the seasons, there have been people that have met each other on the show deciding that they wanted to be with each other. I don't really know. I just can't. I mean, first of all, I would never go on this show. It takes a lot of bravery, I'd say, to subject oneself to this type of thing. but I just don't really see how that's the answer to know, okay, yeah, I am ready to get married to my person. Maybe it's one of those things it's like, the grass isn't greener on the other side. But like I still think for your actual person, you would know if you want to get married or not and make that commitment. so some of these comments, my gosh. So like I said, I just you could never I don't think I I just would never do like I just can't imagine giving an ultimatum to somebody and then being like, look, we need to go on this show. We need to break up, live with other people, so we know that we need to get married together. Like I can't wrap my mind around it. I can't. But kudos to them. And I'm so glad that these couples do want to do this because otherwise I would not be entertained sitting in my living room with my husband, being like, this is insane. This is absolutely insane. Okay. So anyways, so we start with these couples and just right off the bat, like, I'm just like, okay. They're all so young. They're so young. I'm like, there do not need to be any ultimatums at this point. Like, you guys, there's so much life to live. Like, what are we doing here? What are we doing? notably one of the couples, Jebin and Alex. Okay. Jebin, Jebin. Immediately when I first sensed his energy, I was like, this guy's 12 years old. He is way too young. And he's the one that's getting the ultimatum from his girlfriend, Alex. She's like, I am ready to settle down. I don't know how she thinks this man is anywhere close to being ready because he is very comes across very immature. You know, age, yeah, it can be a number. If you hold yourself well, if you have the emotional intelligence, if you are mature, then okay. But I'm not kidding. Like this kid reminded me of a kid. Like he seemed Like he was still in college, high school, even, he just had such a very childlike energy and personality. I mean, he even said that he wants somebody that is gonna basically kind of replace his mom. Basically, he wants another mom as a wife. And mmm, mmm, yeah, I just I wasn't really into that. That was just very crazy. But the show really starts off strong. Like we In terms of like, whoa, these couples are crazy. So we kind of get through, you know, they're doing the dating and all of this stuff. Okay. So we like fast forward to the choice section. Okay. So everyone's kind of beep hopping around. And we get to where the choice is, okay. Then we get this bomb dropped on us. Jebin has passed a note to Alex. Okay. He was trying to be sneaky. And that is just kind of goes outside outside of the rules, you know. Productions saw it. They were like, absolutely not. Grabbed the note. You know, we're it's all intense. Nick and Vanessa are like, this is not okay. And they read the note. I don't think we got all of the note. Apparently it was like a two page or like a front and back situation. Like it was a long note. But it was enough for those two to be like, Jebin, you are out of the experience. Like you cannot, we cannot tolerate this. Essentially, you know, it seemed like he was very controlling. He was like, You better not have touched another guy. Like, I will never marry you, just really being hateful in the message. And he passed that to her. He like, he didn't want that on camera, obviously, because he knows, like, okay, this will look really bad. so he knew enough to know that that was gonna be terrible to say to her, that he needed to write it down and try to sneakily pass it to her. So he could get his point across, but he didn't want the cameras to catch that. He didn't want anybody else to see that. But he felt so strongly that he needed to say that to her. And, you know, I was really impressed with Nick and Vanessa actually putting their foot down. You know, I feel like, granted, they can't control what everybody does. And I do think it comes to a point, you know, you talk about people don't give certain people a platform. But I do think there comes to a point, it's like everybody kind of needs to see some of these things. Like, If that is another person's truth, like in their relationship that they're experiencing, I feel like it would reach out to them to be like, that's how I am treated in my relationship. And all these people are like, That's not okay. I maybe need to look inward and realize my self worth and realize that's not okay for me as well. Like I do I understand to a degree of, okay, we're not gonna give this person a platform. That's not okay. So I really, you know, appreciated that they addressed it in front of everybody and explained why that wasn't okay. Asked him, you know, what were you thinking? Like that's how you talk to the person that you say you love. It was enough for David, another one of the guys in the couples, saying, I wouldn't want you paired with my ex if that's how you treat this girl that you've been with for so long. Like that's insane. So I do really think that that was important to show. It's like, we're not just kicking you off, you know, like if we want to take it back to Love Island or whatever, you know, when they my gosh, I can't even like think of what her name is, but when they were kicking her off the villa, they didn't even really address it, you know, it was just like, she's left the villa and it it wasn't like they came back and was like, guys, you know, there was just some inappropriate behavior. Jevon and Alex left the experience. No, they Brought everybody, they had the note be read. They told him what he did was unacceptable and why it's not okay. And now you're out. You know, I appreciated that. and I think that's important, especially if they were privy to it. You know, it wasn't like something, all right, they're living their marriages and like that's happening and they don't know about it until afterwards, you know, when production's editing everything. so yeah, I thought, I thought that. It was a pr like they put their foot down. And I feel like part of that too is because they get a lot of feedback from fans being like, you guys don't really put your foot down with some of how people get treated. Like you don't address it. You don't have people be held accountable for their words and their actions. But but yeah, so the Le the note was enough for them to have to leave. So unfortunately, because Jebin had to leave the experience that ultimately affected Alex and she had to leave as well. But whatever, I mean, it made sense. There was just like kind of an odd number. So I just thought that that was crazy because I had not seen that before on this show. That had never happened. And yeah, and then Right after that, and I am so sorry, you guys, but like it's literally blanking on me and I don't have it in my notes, but it's kind of whatever. It's not really like huge. But there was another couple, and when it came down to the choice, when the everybody was going to start picking other people, this guy, my gosh, this is terrible. He ended up proposing to his girl that brought him there. She was giving the ultimatum and then he ended up proposing. I think he realized he was Like this isn't what I want. I don't want to break up. I don't want you to live with somebody else. I do love you, whatever. So I guess maybe it does work in that sense. You know, you didn't have to go through with the trial marriages. You got just a little taste of not being with your person enough to know, like, no, you are my person. I do want to be with you. I guess we'll find out if the marriage actually went through. You know, I'm s assuming like they're keeping that all under wraps until the show is finished. But I am blanking on their names and I didn't write it down and I'm so sorry. But they were on camera for literally two seconds. Obviously Alex and Jevins stood out a little bit more because that there was drama there. There really wasn't anything that they were giving. But I mean happy for them. Hopefully everything worked out great. I guess the experience and experiment did whatever it needed to do for them. Perfect. Okay. Now we get into kind of really where it just there's there's a lot. There's a lot. Okay. So you have two couples. You have Haley and Blake and then Ashley and Killian. Okay. These two basically swap. Okay. They swap. And there is so much to unpack with these couples that my brain can't compute. Okay. So I just want to start with Haley and Blake. I, you know, whenever they were going through their speed dating rounds, there was a lot of attitude coming from Haley. And Haley was the one receiving the ultimatum. You know, Blake wanted to propose to her, whatever, get married. She wasn't ready. She's receiving the ultimatum, but we get snippets of their relationship and how they interact. And she is fuming at like the speed dating round. She's like, You're flirting with all these other people and all of that. Like, this isn't okay. He's like, That's part of what this all is. Like, I'm sorry, I don't know. And you know, she's just having like this visceral reaction. She's very snappy, very in his face, getting loud, such attitude. He seems very cool, calm, collected. I'm like, okay, okay, great. Emotional intelligence, whatever, maturity. And so I just didn't really know how it felt. I was like, maybe he needs to get rid of this chick. Like she is way too aggressive. Again, how I went back to I'm just reiterating my little Intro that I said about all of this show. Obviously, we're only seeing this portion of it. So I know that I'm just dissecting what I was seeing on my screen. Okay. Just want to be sure that we're clear on that. So it's like, ugh, this girl has way too much attitude. I wouldn't want to put up with that. That's insane. We're on this, we're honestly only here because one, I guess you agreed to it, and two, you're the one that doesn't want to marry me. So what's the problem? Anyways, so I just was like, no, like he needs to find somebody else. And then we have Blake and Killi or sorry, we have Ashley and Killian. Okay, so they swap. And, you know, I was thinking, all right, this might be good for these people. Like they seem like they are going to mesh with their other couples, like the little mixings that we got going on here. And I was very curious to see how it all was going to play out. And But let me just tell you, like this foursome was a wild ride. Okay. I don't really fully know when all of the storm officially hit. Based on the show, what I got from it was w and also I have a question. I don't know if anybody knows the answer, but I was very confused because you're not supposed to talk to your ex, you know, during all of this. You know, it is you're supposed to focus on the trial marriage and who you're with and be Put all your energy into that. And where I'm confused on is I guess Killian was starting to see posts that Ashley was making. Maybe like going and hanging out with Blake, like going bowling. Like I know there was some of that. What I was confused on was how is she able to post? Like, where are you seeing this? Because if you guys are filming and you're doing this, if other people in your real life know you guys are a couple, how is that able to be posted? So how are you able to see? That was something that wasn't addressed that I need somebody to address and really break that down because that was really confusing. I was like, How are you how are you seeing this being posted? Are you guys allowed to even post anything on social media at this time? Like that didn't really make much sense to me. But that's what it seemed to like fuel the fire of when the jealousy was starting to hit. Cause you know, it's kind of one of those things, I guess, out of sight, out of mind. You know, you're both in your bubble, but then you're seeing something and you're like, This, no, absolutely not. So you start to stew in that. You live in it, and then you can't shake it. So that's when messages were starting to happen. Killian started to text Ashley, blow up her phone, just kind of in a jealous rage. Like, and you know, Ashley, I'm sure she's getting bombarded with all these texts from Killian. She's trying to explain herself. Like, what are you talking about? Like, it's fine, yada yada. We didn't get to see these messages, but it was enough for. Both of these couples, their trial marriage partner, to be like, What are you doing? What's going on? Like having issues that it became a Congress meeting. Okay. There was you know, w one of the couples, they held the meeting in their apartment. All four of them got together. I think they talked till 9 a.m., which here's another thing that I appreciate about this show. They have like nest or ring cameras or whatever inside. The homes. So, because you know, production can't be there 247. And so we were able to get like the clips of not when production was there based on like these nest cameras. And so these conversations were going on, I think, till nine in the morning, arguing back and forth with each other. Like, you did this, like, what are you talking about? Just jealous. Okay. Absolute. jealousy. And you know, I was even appreciative because Haley, she was sticking up for Ashley when you know, the guys were just kind of raising their voic voice, talking to her. She was like, Don't talk to her like that. It's like, okay, that's cool. Okay, so maybe I maybe I am for Haley, you know, 'cause we're seeing a little bit more and she's like, Absolutely do not talk to women like that. She stands her ground. And Yeah. So there was just this huge combustion very early on between this four. And things start to settle down a little bit. It was kind of like a reset. It's like, okay, okay, it's fine. We're not gonna talk to each other. We don't need to do secret meetups. We don't need to do any of that. We need to just be really into the experience and the experien experiment and give it a fair shot. Okay. Then all of a sudden there is a now a shift between Haley and Killian. And she has an issue. And we're like, no, what's what's going on now? And she saw messages on Killian's phone. He's in a group chat with his guy friends. And I'm not gonna say verbatim the things that she read on there, but you can go and research that. You can go watch the show. But just know that it was very disgusting and vile and just not even funny. And it was quote unquote locker room talk. No, that is not locker room talk. I it was I my job was to the floor. It's like there's no freaking way that this was said. That's actually insane. There were some things of, you know. Killian, he went from, you know, like a big boob blonde to like a flat-chested brunette and like ha ha ha. Like that's crazy. But then it just kept getting worse, worse. And Haley knew, you know, she's smart. She was like, this is gonna be denied. I'm taking pictures of this conversation, seeing what I'm seeing. And yeah, she addressed it and she was like, I the com the things that I saw on that. was absolutely vile, disgusting. Killian's not really taking ownership because in his mind, he didn't say those things. He didn't type that out, but he didn't correct anybody. He didn't correct his friends. He wasn't like, that's actually inappropriate and disgusting. We're not gonna talk about women that way. He just maybe thought it was funny. He stood up for his friends, but it's like, it's just guys being guys. Like it's not that big of a deal. No, that's actually crazy that you don't she doesn't even know your friends. She's in a trial marriage with you. And these are the guys that you surround yourself with. Like, this is how you talk about people. And this is how you talk about the person that you chose to have this trial marriage with. We're not even officially together. How in the world can I just comfortably continue on this trial marriage? Absolutely not. And this all pretty much came around the time when he was supposed to be meeting her aunt. I don't know the historical background of like her family and why it was her aunt because you know at some point everybody kind of they meet the other person's family, but it was her aunt. So she's talking about this with her aunt and it was like, this is actually I don't even know how to move forward. Like I feel sick. and and then there was like another time where Of course, this wasn't over text, but they had this conversation. And you know, he was like, if you weren't so modest or whatever, I would have banged you by now and all that. And she was like, what? So Haley, from what I know, she seems very much like, I'm gonna stick up for women. I just need to let Ashley know that this is the behavior Killian is having, and she has a right to know. I would want to know. This is where it really gets like frustrating and Where my brain can't compute the logic on this. If I was being told this, that my boyfriend was behaving this way, I guess technically ex-boyfriend in the terms of the show. I would be livid. I would be sick to my stomach. And I would definitely confront them, and that would be that'd be it. Wipe my hands clean of that because absolutely not. That is not okay. Whether he necessarily said it or not. Put your dudes in place, put your friends in check. That's gross. And, you know, Haley, she's talking to the girls. Like they all get have their little get together. There's one part where the guys do a little get together, the girls do a little get together. And she's telling the girls what's going on and what was being said, what she found out. And Ashley, first of all, you know, she was like, okay, I apologize. You, you know, you're kind of seeing the wheels turn for her. It's like maybe it's clicking, like, ooh, that is not good. But that's not enough for her. She needs more concrete evidence. She's not even really fully believing the part of what he said to her about, if you didn't dress so modest, yada yada yada. Doesn't fully believe it. And, you know, she's making excuses and she's just like, wow, like, I don't know. Like, I just know he's a good person. And, you know, sometimes you can't just. Overlook all the good for the bad. What? For the bad. The bad, it's not like he just always leaves the toilet seat up or something that my husband does doesn't refill the toilet paper or the paper towels. That's things you can overlook. Like that's things that you're like, okay, whatever. Like, not that big of deal. Something like that. Like that is crazy. That is crazy. And again, I know he didn't. He didn't say those words in those text messages, but those are his friends that those are the people that you are surrounding yourself with. And that's not even dark, dry humor, whatever. Like, cause trust me, I have a sense of humor. I'd like to say. I feel like I have a very well-versed humor and my scope is a very large range. But that was not funny. What was said was not funny. I don't find it. even the teensy bit hilarious or could even view it on a certain lens of like, dark humor, like that's funny. No, there was nothing hilarious about any of that. And for her to try to make excuses for it and almost defend him in a way, like I get it. It probably felt you know, all the eyes were on her. It's like, all right, what are you gonna do, Ashley? How are you gonna respond to this? Like what's what are your action steps? I get it. So it's probably like, gosh, like you know, this wasn't even my situation. And now I feel pressure to make a decision kind of that I don't even fully know. I wasn't really even involved in. I don't like all eyes are on me of like, what are you gonna do? So it's like I gotta like you're trying to maybe take a step back and evaluate everything, but I just feel like there was a lot of defensiveness in four Killian. And I just I don't know. I was like, ooh, I don't really like that. And then you fast forward to when the guys have their hangout, Blake addresses it in front of everybody. He asked Killian straight up, like, what you said in those text messages, or well, I guess your friends, you were part of that wasn't okay. That is crazy talk, absolutely not vile behavior. You should have stepped in when your friends were making those comments, but also too, you said this to Haley. Like, do you remember saying that? Do did you say that? And Killian, you know, he was very gung-ho of like, I never said that, I never said that. Then it changes to, I'm 95% sure I didn't say that. 95% sure that's enough percentage of to convince me that you did, you know, because now you're trying to scan your brain and be like, ooh, maybe I did. It's like you want to admit it. You're it's like half apologizing, you know. I'm gonna go ahead and I can't remember if I did that, but if I did, I'm so sorry. That's not an excuse, that's not acceptable, whatever. And I appreciate, you know, Blake, he was sticking up for Haley in that sense. And he was trying to, you know, guy to guy, you know, just can you explain this? Can you break this down for me? And so whenever they're all getting back to their homes after this hangout. You know, Blake's trying to talk to Ashley and he said, Hey, you know, I addressed the situation with Killian. And I think he has a right to, you know, hey, he walked into this with Haley. and trying to figure all of that out, Killian, his ex is Ashley, who Blake is paired up with. I feel like he had a right to bring it up. He's trying to, you know, talk to her about it and be like, hey, I brought this up. And you how he was saying that he didn't do that? Now he's saying he 95% sure. I mean, well, hold on, let's get back. Let me backtrack actually. When he is bringing this up to her, he does say, he goes, I mean, he basically said that, yeah, he he said that. And Ashley was like, What? my gosh. He didn't fully disclose that Killian said 95% sure I didn't say that. So basically 5% sure that I did. But to his defense and to his point, that was basically. Confirming that you did say that. You know, if you knew and you were like, there is absolutely zero chance that I would have said that, you'd be like, No, you'd stand ten toes down, hundred percent, hundred percent, hundred percent, not even worried about, ooh, what did the cameras pick up that I don't remember? or that they could have picked up, whatever. No, you would be like, I a hundred percent know that I didn't say that. So to Blake's defense, him saying, I'm 95% sure I didn't say that, to me, yeah, that confirmed also, yeah, he essentially said that he did. So Anyways, time moves on and you know, Ashley just cannot get past all of this. And you know, she's just like, I need to know exactly what was said, all that. So Blake, you know, reiterates the conversation and said, you know, he said that he's ninety five percent sure that he didn't say that. And she just takes that as so like So you did. So you're lying to me almost. You know, like that is not what you said. And she is really just gripping on the fact 95% didn't say that. She's not looking at the bigger picture. She's trying to find anything that she can to, you know, clear his name and kind of defending him. And her attitude just changes really quickly on that. And I just I couldn't understand it. And I just don't, I don't know. I don't know if it's just like a defense mechanism in terms of I don't know what's gonna happen with my relationship outside of the show. So I need to try to go ahead and just protect it as much as I can because I can't guarantee that I wanna leave this person. But she just was not having it. And which was really shocking to me because when I first took her getting the knowledge of everything that Killian was doing and saying and kind of being a part of and what his friends were saying, that she was going to confront him and Put her foot down and say, This is not okay. This is not how I would want, you know, our future daughter to be treated. Like, would you want your future daughter to be treated this way? My dad would not tolerate this. But she's just kind of defending him. And it's really crazy. Like when they go back to, you know, after the trial marriages are over with the switched partners and they're going back to their original couple. There's a fight breaking out at this table. And it's hilarious because it's literally between Haley, Ashley, and Blake. The main culprit is Killian, and he is just sitting back. He's just like, I'm just gonna let them you know, I was like, dang, how crazy. Like you're the one that's caused all of this pain, drama, issues, and you don't even like you don't even have to say anything because these people are just handling the battle for you. I don't know, but she just there's so many things like I just was really confused on just based on the conversations that she was having with Blake and their dates and She just seemed very emotional and she wasn't really hearing, I felt like what Blake was saying. To me, during these conversations, Blake was very calm, collected. I felt like he was really trying to be careful with his words and expressing how he felt in situations. but it almost seemed like anytime Ashley was getting criticism or feedback or feeling Like she was hearing that she didn't navigate something in a certain way. Then she got very defensive. And that is such a hard conversation to watch back. Like it's really frustrating as a viewer. I'm just like, I just want to shake you and be like, girl, like, are you even listening? Like, take a second. Like, cause I get it. It is sometimes when you're just so in the heat of the moment, and it's like, no, like XYZ, like this is this, this, and this, and or this is what you did. Like, this is how I took what you were saying to me. And that's why I responded that way. But The conversation. It's like he was being so calm and she didn't want to hear anything of it. and w anytime she got any sort of criticism about her and Killian or whatever, she just seemed very defensive and seemed very victim, but then wanted to switch the words of like, you're manipulating me. Like you're like I'm being gaslit. It's like, no, we're just having a conversation. We're just having a conversation. So I yeah, this season. You know, I don't I never really followed up. One thing about this show is there's not a lot of follow-up with these couples as to what happens with them. you know, if they ended up staying together and getting proposed to or whatever. So like I don't really know the follow of previous seasons, but I am very curious to know how all of this has gone out. So I'm really excited. I know by the time you're watching this, the episodes will have already dropped. So I'm planning on watching the two remaining episodes tonight. or I guess last night I should say. But I just I really just don't know how all of these marriages or or the relationships are, you know, panning out. I mean, even more so, which also is shocking to me because here I'm sitting and saying, Blake seemed so calm, seemed very relaxed and trying to explain himself. And what he's feeling, then we get this notification. Notification. We get this bomb dropped on us that in twenty twenty-five, October of twenty twenty-five, after filming, Blake got arrested for an alleged assault against Haley. So this is the original couple, you know, and here I am. I'm talking about how, you know, I feel like he's very calm, emotional intelligence, whatever, emotional maturity. but we don't know much about that whole thing. Apparently the charges got dropped. Haley didn't want to press charges. His record is expunged. So there's not really anything to go off of. Don't really know the details of it. but that that got dropped on us. I don't know if more will come out. I don't even know if more can come out because there were no charges that were filed, pressed, nothing moved forward. So I'm gonna assume like all we will know is that there was an arrest made due to an assault. We don't know the details around that. but I don't know. I don't have high hopes for any of these couples, honestly. I just I'm gonna go ahead and assume that everybody's broke up. Like I don't even think a proposal happened for any of them. but I mean, I guess we'll see. I mean, it's just it's just kind of crazy. I mean, there's two other couples. I feel bad. I didn't even really address them. To be completely honest, they seemed very boring to me. Like there wasn't really anything. That I felt very passionate or like strong opinions on. I mean, it was David and Casey and then Luke and Monica. but I will say one thing that I that kind of stuck out, so those two obviously swapped, that I thought was very bizarre was because you know, I was really thinking, I was like, Monica and David, like they seem very connected and kind of on the same level, but What was really confusing for me is whenever they had one conversation and she was talking about how she has a really close guy friend and it's almost like a non-negotiable, she goes and she visits him and he has to be okay with that. And he was like, Yeah, I mean, I'm fine with it as long as I go to. And she was like, no, pretty much like that's not necessary. And I don't know, I thought that was such bad. weird vibes. And here's the thing. It's like, yeah, you can have close relationships with the opposite sex, but once you have an actual relationship, a partner, somebody that you are wanting to marry or like longevity, like you take it seriously, those relationships just aren't the same. I'm sorry. Like there's just no if, ands, or buts about it. Like that's just kind of how that goes. And if you like if you need to see this friend so badly when he said, Yeah, I can come with you, okay, great. Like perfect. That should have been it. That should have been enough. Like, perfect. Like, that's a great compromise. But I just felt like it was so odd that she was just like, No, like you just don't understand. Like, we've been best friends. Like, I go like enough to where she goes and visits him. Like, hops on a plane, goes and like visits. It's not like, we have dinner once every two months or something. Like a full-fledged getting on a plane, visiting, whatever. So bizarre how she was so adamant about that and That was like a non-negotiable, and she couldn't understand why he felt some type of way about that. That I just didn't really understand whatsoever. Don't get it. Even if he gave you a kidney, great, kudos. Send him a letter once a month or something about like, hey, thanks for that kidney. If you know, if you have to uphold that relationship. But I'm sorry. It's just once you get older and you find somebody that that's your partner, that's your person, your opposite sex relationships, they just change. That's just. The nature of that. That's just how that works. so yeah, I didn't really care for that too much. And then Casey and Luke, I don't know, like they're just kinda and see here's the thing. There wasn't really anything tremendously wrong or like huge, my gosh, I love them type of thing. And that just goes to my point of how boring would that have been if every single couple was like that. You know, there wouldn't have been a show. I really wouldn't have had much to talk about. But thank goodness we have people like Ashley and Killian, Blake and Haley blessing our televisions to give us great entertainment. you know, maybe it's not for you, but that's why they did it. You know what I mean? So to bash them and to go online and spread so much hate and let them know all your thoughts is crazy. It's crazy. I'm all good for light, fun banter and humor and poking fun, but To be very serious and just so vicious, it's just really unnecessary because you wouldn't be getting the type of show that you got if it wasn't for them, you know? So let's think about that. Let's think about that. but yeah, so I'll probably have more to touch on next week with those other two episodes. I'm very curious to see how it all plays out. And I know everybody's gonna go on their rounds and probably go on podcasts. Maybe we'll find out a little bit tidb More information. I mean, we've seen Haley and Ashley have been hanging out. Seems like they've been besties. So I love that for them. So I'm hoping that means they both left their dudes and you know, they joined forces with each other. but yeah, so I guess we'll see. We'll see what's left on that. But as you know, we got to end the episode with chic and week of the week. So drum roll, please. All right. Okay. Okay. My chic of the week is polarizing characters on reality TV. Okay. I don't care. I don't care. Whatever way you want to slice it and dice it. I just think you need those types of people for reality TV, you know? And I'm gonna get into Big Brother for the next week's episode. but just for a small example, Angela, okay. Angela, she's on Big Brother again. She was a former player on another season. She was polarizing, okay? Cause she was a little bit out there. She was a little bit chaotic. She stirred up some drama. You either love her or you hate her. But those are the types of people that make reality TV. As much as we want to admit it or not, Jax Taylor, absolute psycho. Does he necessarily deserve maybe television time, screen time, whatever? But he makes for great television. He's polarizing. And those people, like they bring the entertainment. Whether it's something you would do or not, doesn't matter. We need those people, or else what's the point? Like there's no reality TV. Like I said, like you would not be tuning in to just normal people living their lives and there's absolutely nothing to engage you in, being like, my gosh, like these people exist. Like this is their world. So polarizing characters, I say characters because you know. Sure, maybe they are playing up a character a little bit. Maybe they're playing up their personality, but whatever. It doesn't matter. They're providing entertainment and that is what's needed. I'm there's no if, ands, or buts about it. So my chic of the week is polarizing people on reality TV. You need those. You need those. You need people that you are like, who am I watching? You don't have to like them, but you should respect and appreciate the polarizing people. And then my week of the week is giving ultimatums. Ultimately. I mean. I'm sorry, you shouldn't have to give an ultimatum to your person. You should know. If you want to marry them, you like I just if you know, you know. If you are having strong hesitance, the only like there shouldn't be an ultimatum. It should be something like, okay, we're still really young. Let's still continue to date. I wanna date you. I wanna be with you. You know, if you're like 21 and somebody's talking about, let's get married, like whoa. You know, we've only been together for like a year. Let's wait a little bit. I don't necessarily think an ultimatum needs to be given. I just I feel like if you get to that point, like you feel like you need to give an ultimatum to your person, that's just weak. Okay. It's either you should know and if you're getting the sense that they aren't seeing a future with you, then you should have enough self awareness to be like, all right, I've outgrown this relationship. I need to find somebody that is ready and serious and I can, I'm sure, you know, you could probably find that exit. What's meant for you will come back if it's if it's supposed to happen, it will. I don't think an ultimatum needs to be given. It's not marry me or I'm out if you're just or marry me in two months, propose in two months, have the conversation. Yeah, I see a future with you. Great. do some pulse checks, but. Then then you can kind of come to terms with, okay, I guess this isn't working. I need to, I need to leave. You're not getting it, or you're not getting on the same page. Whatever. I don't think you need to give an ultimatum, you know. But that's my chic and week of the week. And yeah. All right. Well, I am excited to see how the finale goes. I'm excited to see there's any more, divorces. I sure hope not, unless it's a couple that needs to be divorced. But yeah, there's a lot to a lot to unpack. Thanks for listening to the drama drop, you guys. Subscribe wherever you listen to your podcast.
