- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett. Hello, Big
- 0:12Speaker 1: Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Cats. My name is
- 0:16Speaker 1: Michael Bennett on this Thursday, August twentieth, as this month
- 0:20Speaker 1: is just flying by. But hope everybody's having a nice,
- 0:23Speaker 1: safe day. As a little rainy outside and coming in here.
- 0:28Speaker 1: This morning, he saw a bad accident on the Waterston Expressway,
- 0:32Speaker 1: so everybody be careful out there. But Justin Klein is
- 0:34Speaker 1: with me. How are you doing this morning? Justin?
- 0:37Speaker 2: I'm good, little tired, went to bed a lot later
- 0:40Speaker 2: than I should have last night, but I'm good. Why
- 0:43Speaker 2: so starting o podcast today?
- 0:45Speaker 1: H Okay? We were supposed to start it last night.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Yes, I was having all kinds of issues figuring out
- 0:51Speaker 2: the setup for what we need to do, so I
- 0:54Speaker 2: was up late trying to figure all that out. But
- 0:55Speaker 2: I finally got it thanks to the help of Stephen
- 0:57Speaker 2: Peak and ah, how we're good to go.
- 1:00Speaker 1: By the way, he's going to come on with us
- 1:02Speaker 1: next week. Yeah, he asked if he could come on.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I love that and he said, Michael, you need to
- 1:06Speaker 1: have me come on with you. I said, Okay, that
- 1:09Speaker 1: sounds good. He's a passionate cat. Is he really Oh yeah, okay,
- 1:12Speaker 1: so you want to talk about somebody loves Kentucky. And
- 1:16Speaker 1: he's asked if he can come on next Thursday, So
- 1:18Speaker 1: one week fro him today, he'll make his debut on
- 1:21Speaker 1: Just the Cats. Let's and see how that goes. I'm
- 1:24Speaker 1: excited about it. I like, you know, I don't know
- 1:27Speaker 1: him at all, and I've gotten to know him a
- 1:31Speaker 1: little bit and every every experience I've had with him,
- 1:35Speaker 1: it's been very nice. Yeah, Peak's awesome. And then I
- 1:38Speaker 1: started watching a lot of these video things he did,
- 1:41Speaker 1: like the one on I told I talked about what
- 1:42Speaker 1: two or three weeks ago, the King Kelly Coleman, and
- 1:46Speaker 1: I thought he did a phenomenal job with that. Ye,
- 1:49Speaker 1: And it's like, okay, I gotta go watch more of these.
- 1:51Speaker 2: So that's why he was my first call when I
- 1:54Speaker 2: when I had questions on setup and all that. Man,
- 1:56Speaker 2: I need Peak. Yeah, So shout out to shout out
- 1:59Speaker 2: to him for being there. He probably spent an hour
- 2:02Speaker 2: on the phone with me. Hour on the phone trying
- 2:05Speaker 2: to troubleshoot why why I couldn't So basically my mic
- 2:10Speaker 2: wasn't going through my mixer that we're gonna use.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yeah, we could not figure out why okay, and why
- 2:16Speaker 1: wasn't it.
- 2:17Speaker 2: So it turns out there were two chords in that
- 2:20Speaker 2: box that should be connected to the back of the machine,
- 2:23Speaker 2: and I had only been using one of them. Okay,
- 2:25Speaker 2: I knew it was gonna be something stupid and easy. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:29Speaker 2: I feel like I'm somewhat technically savvy. I do screw
- 2:32Speaker 2: things up, but then I need help. YouTube is my
- 2:35Speaker 2: best friend.
- 2:37Speaker 1: But then if I have somebody like you, that's yeah,
- 2:39Speaker 1: it's gonna be a big help because uh uh uh.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And I'm looking forward to this. So y'all are going
- 2:44Speaker 1: to record your podcast today today and it's going to
- 2:47Speaker 1: be called what because I think that's that's the most
- 2:51Speaker 1: important part of a podcast, is you have to have
- 2:54Speaker 1: a catchy name, and that way people just like I
- 2:59Speaker 1: hadn't number of people when I named changed the name
- 3:02Speaker 1: of the show to just the Tip. I had more
- 3:06Speaker 1: people out there that had nothing to do with UK
- 3:10Speaker 1: but had to listen to a show called that. And honestly,
- 3:16Speaker 1: I still had people that say, Michael, I missed the
- 3:19Speaker 1: name of that show and they missed that. But I,
- 3:23Speaker 1: you know, I just the Cats is fine. I mean
- 3:27Speaker 1: the show started out as Morning tip Off and that
- 3:31Speaker 1: was an okay name. You don't like it, Well, I
- 3:34Speaker 1: didn't come up with it. Somebody else did. And so
- 3:37Speaker 1: when that other person left, I figured, well, you know,
- 3:42Speaker 1: now it's the time to change it. And somebody had
- 3:44Speaker 1: nicknamed it and just the Tip and it was you know,
- 3:48Speaker 1: Matt Jones did, and I thought, let's embrace it. And
- 3:51Speaker 1: I loved it so far. A little over a year
- 3:53Speaker 1: it was called just a Tip and I think it
- 3:54Speaker 1: was a lot of fun. All right, So let's talk
- 3:56Speaker 1: about the name of your podcast. Have y'all picked out yet? Yeah?
- 4:01Speaker 2: We we just went simple with it. It's come on,
- 4:04Speaker 2: It's nothing sexy or flashy. But I think with the
- 4:07Speaker 2: subject matter, yes, that we're gonna be covering in Providence football.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I mean it's very niche. But people at Providence freaking
- 4:13Speaker 2: love their athletics, are they really?
- 4:15Speaker 1: So?
- 4:15Speaker 2: I think they'll watch it. But we opted to go
- 4:17Speaker 2: with watch it, I think so, so.
- 4:19Speaker 1: You're gonna be on screen as well. We're gonna do video.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I didn't know this.
- 4:23Speaker 2: That's why, oh, that's why I was struggling with the
- 4:26Speaker 2: setup so much last night, because I'm good on the
- 4:28Speaker 2: audio side of this. It's like I have no worries
- 4:30Speaker 2: about audio, okay, but the video was what was really wow?
- 4:35Speaker 2: Y'all spent some money on this equipment and then yeah
- 4:37Speaker 2: we did, okay, so all right, we want it to
- 4:39Speaker 2: be something good to have you broken the news of
- 4:42Speaker 2: what the name of this show is gonna be called
- 4:44Speaker 2: on your show. I don't think so. But I don't
- 4:47Speaker 2: care to say it here. You don't care to say
- 4:49Speaker 2: it here? No, okay, well, then don't say it. It's
- 4:51Speaker 2: gonna be No. I said I don't care to say
- 4:52Speaker 2: it here. That's exactly what I just said. You don't
- 4:55Speaker 2: care to say it here. So don't you don't want
- 4:57Speaker 2: to say I don't care if.
- 4:59Speaker 1: I say it? Okay? Thank you? Is that better? Yes?
- 5:01Speaker 1: It is. When you say I don't care to say
- 5:04Speaker 1: it here, it means I don't really want to say.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Well, it's kind of like that phrase I couldn't care
- 5:08Speaker 2: less or I could care less.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I've always been confused with that one. That's a pet
- 5:12Speaker 1: peeve right there. There are so many pet peas out there.
- 5:15Speaker 1: That's one of them. I could care less. I remember, well, yeah, okay,
- 5:18Speaker 1: then you don't care. I remember one of my best
- 5:21Speaker 1: friends in college. He was from Mexico, Yes, And we
- 5:24Speaker 1: were out drinking one night and he just let that
- 5:27Speaker 1: eat him up.
- 5:28Speaker 2: And he was you Americans are so confusing. Is it
- 5:31Speaker 2: I could care less or I couldn't care less? And
- 5:33Speaker 2: everybody says it different.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Well, yeah, and the correct way to say it is
- 5:38Speaker 1: I could not care less. Correct. So it's I couldn't
- 5:41Speaker 1: care less. And there are a lot of people out
- 5:44Speaker 1: there that will say I could care less. It's like, really,
- 5:47Speaker 1: you don't care. Okay, you care? You could just care
- 5:50Speaker 1: a little bit less. Yeah, okay, you care just a
- 5:53Speaker 1: little bit. Okay, I got you, I got you. Know.
- 5:55Speaker 2: So we opted to go with this week in Pioneer football.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Oh that's simple. But like I was telling you, I
- 6:02Speaker 2: believe that was yesterday. That gives us room to grow,
- 6:05Speaker 2: or we could be we could go from that to
- 6:07Speaker 2: this week in Southern Indiana football and this week in
- 6:10Speaker 2: Kentucky Anda football. Whatever if we end up expanding, yes,
- 6:14Speaker 2: and where are we going to find this on YouTube?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Only? On YouTube, I believe so. Okay, so you're not
- 6:22Speaker 1: going to put it on anything else? Spotify, I don't
- 6:25Speaker 1: think so. I think we're just going to go straight YouTube, Apple, none,
- 6:30Speaker 1: of it.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Maybe we take the audio and put it elsewhere. I
- 6:32Speaker 2: don't know, I haven't. I haven't really thought about that.
- 6:34Speaker 2: All right, So are you and what where's the studio
- 6:38Speaker 2: that you're doing this at the guy's house that I'm
- 6:41Speaker 2: doing it with.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Oh okay, So is it going to be professional looking,
- 6:43Speaker 1: because you know you need we hope.
- 6:45Speaker 2: So that's I mean, that's certainly the goal, but it's
- 6:47Speaker 2: it's odd, honestly, one of those things that And I
- 6:50Speaker 2: told him this, it's gonna get better every week. Yeah,
- 6:54Speaker 2: once I get more and more comfortable with the video
- 6:57Speaker 2: side of things, I think there's a lot of tricks
- 6:59Speaker 2: that I'll pick up along the way. So, hey, I
- 7:02Speaker 2: don't anticipate this first one to be And I told
- 7:05Speaker 2: him this last night. I said, Man, we're gonna do
- 7:06Speaker 2: this first one, and we're gonna look back in like
- 7:09Speaker 2: five years and be like that was such garbage.
- 7:11Speaker 1: How did we put that out? Oh my gosh. Yeah,
- 7:13Speaker 1: but we'll think it's great. Go back and listen to
- 7:15Speaker 1: some of my shows from the very beginning. Sure, Oh terrible,
- 7:19Speaker 1: absolutely horrible. I need to do that to them maybe,
- 7:22Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, I need maybe with myself though,
- 7:25Speaker 1: I'll go back and listen to the first ever show.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Oh terrible. Yeah, I remember that day like it was yesterday.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Oh yeah it was. And you know the funny part,
- 7:33Speaker 1: I wasn't nervous. I was just excited. But no, please
- 7:36Speaker 1: don't go do that. That is a that is what
- 7:38Speaker 1: you call a literal waste of time. So, but there
- 7:41Speaker 1: have been a number of people that have gone back
- 7:43Speaker 1: and said, Michael, I've gone back to listen to the
- 7:44Speaker 1: very first ones when you were at the other station
- 7:46Speaker 1: and listened all the way through, and then I've listened
- 7:48Speaker 1: to these. But yeah, because you freaked me out by
- 7:52Speaker 1: what you said yesday with Corey Price talking about we're
- 7:55Speaker 1: coming up on our five hundredth episode. No, that is wild.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I would never dreamed that. But well, I wish you
- 8:02Speaker 1: the best of luck of this week. In Pioneer Football,
- 8:05Speaker 1: thank you. I think that's an appropriate name. I think
- 8:08Speaker 1: what you need to have is a pioneer football helmet.
- 8:11Speaker 1: We have Okay, good, we do have one. Do you
- 8:14Speaker 1: have a pioneer football and a basketball But basketball wouldn't
- 8:18Speaker 1: make sense on account of its football. Well, but it'll
- 8:21Speaker 1: be basketball too, won't it. No, you're just doing football, correct? Oh?
- 8:25Speaker 1: The poor Pioneer basketball players, don't they. Well, I mean
- 8:28Speaker 1: maybe they getting upset again.
- 8:29Speaker 2: That's one of those things that maybe we could expand
- 8:31Speaker 2: upon if if this goes well. But no, So the
- 8:34Speaker 2: guy I'm doing it with is the father of the
- 8:36Speaker 2: Providence football head coach. Okay, So, and what is the
- 8:40Speaker 2: goal to get out of this? Just to highlight, highlight
- 8:43Speaker 2: Providence football.
- 8:44Speaker 1: And recruit players to come over there and play for Pioneers. No,
- 8:47Speaker 1: they do that themselves. Oh, oh they do.
- 8:50Speaker 2: That's why they're so good because they're one of the
- 8:52Speaker 2: only area teams that can recruit. How couldn't you recruit
- 8:55Speaker 2: because they're private. Oh I didn't realize that. Ah, Catholic,
- 9:01Speaker 2: I did not know that. Okay, well, good for them. So, yeah,
- 9:04Speaker 2: he just wants to highlight the athletes. Just remember this,
- 9:08Speaker 2: I guess something to look back on the season. Yeah,
- 9:12Speaker 2: every year you can. You can go back and watch
- 9:14Speaker 2: these and right and all that. So I don't know, Yeah, okay,
- 9:17Speaker 2: I'll me know. You know what else would be appropriate?
- 9:19Speaker 2: A bowl of fruit? Okay, you need to have something
- 9:22Speaker 2: to nibble on while you're doing this.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Fruit.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely, get your little bowl of fruit. I was thinking,
- 9:27Speaker 2: like trail mix or something.
- 9:29Speaker 1: No, well, yeah, absolutely, fruit. That's that's the way to
- 9:32Speaker 1: go today. You need I on M and m's not now.
- 9:34Speaker 1: See there you go with the whole sugar thing. You
- 9:36Speaker 1: gotta settle it down. You need a bowl of fruit
- 9:39Speaker 1: out there. The football hel I tell you what, have
- 9:42Speaker 1: the football the helmet upside down with the fruit in it.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Now there's your bowl of fruit. Now.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I saw the football helmet yesterday. It's not it's not
- 9:50Speaker 2: the cleanest. I'm not putting fruit in.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Come on, really, they're giving you a used football helmet
- 9:55Speaker 1: that's been sweaty out there. Oh my gosh, this is ridiculous.
- 9:59Speaker 1: What ca all right? I look at So when will
- 10:01Speaker 1: the first episode be released?
- 10:04Speaker 2: We're hoping today early afternoon really, maybe three o'clock.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Really, okay, So I want you to text me and
- 10:15Speaker 1: and let's talk about this. Yeah. I look forward to
- 10:18Speaker 1: the first episode. And so you're the host of this, correct,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and he is the co host? Correct? So you're in charge? Yep?
- 10:25Speaker 1: And how long is this episode going to last?
- 10:29Speaker 2: We I told him before anywhere between thirty minutes to
- 10:33Speaker 2: forty five that would probably be the best. You definitely
- 10:36Speaker 2: don't want to go over an hour or something like this. No,
- 10:38Speaker 2: and you don't want to go really ideally less than
- 10:41Speaker 2: thirty because yes, you know, you want people to have
- 10:44Speaker 2: a reason to come check it out.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Are you going to have a Providence shirt on? You know,
- 10:47Speaker 1: a nice collared Providence shirt. I don't have one. They
- 10:51Speaker 1: need to give you one. We're in the works with that.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Okay, good. Same thing with a ball cap. I don't
- 10:55Speaker 2: have a Providence hat.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, you're on screen. I think you should ditch
- 11:01Speaker 1: the ball cap. Okay, you're on screen, so therefore you
- 11:03Speaker 1: need to look a little more professional. Here's my need
- 11:06Speaker 1: to consider buttoning all the way to the top like
- 11:08Speaker 1: Corey does.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I mean, you gotta do all the right things. Now,
- 11:10Speaker 2: here's the deal. My hair's not completely grown back out yet.
- 11:13Speaker 1: That doesn't matter.
- 11:14Speaker 2: So no, I can't I have to wear a hat
- 11:17Speaker 2: because I can't because I can't.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Fix my hand. I'm just gonna tell you I disagree
- 11:21Speaker 1: with you there. I think you need to be professional.
- 11:23Speaker 1: You need to wear the the uh hat. And it
- 11:26Speaker 1: might be better if you're standing up. The two of
- 11:28Speaker 1: you are standing instead of sitting, then it'll still look
- 11:31Speaker 1: like we're sitting because we're both short. Oh oh, you are, okay,
- 11:36Speaker 1: and the projection of Pioneer football is going to be
- 11:39Speaker 1: what now what the projection? How are they going to season? Yeah?
- 11:44Speaker 1: They should be really good? Oh really?
- 11:45Speaker 2: But the thing is they so they were in one
- 11:47Speaker 2: A the last four years and they were dominant. Yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 2: and now this year they got to move up to
- 11:52Speaker 2: two A. Good for them and Brownstown's and their sectional.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Brownstown's the number one two A team in the state.
- 11:58Speaker 2: So it's gonna be a tough.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Road this year. Listen, I'm all about Providence football, Okay. So,
- 12:04Speaker 1: I mean I just learned that they're the Pioneers. Do
- 12:06Speaker 1: they have a mascot? Like a live one? No? No,
- 12:11Speaker 1: a dead one? I mean, what kind of mascot do
- 12:14Speaker 1: you think got me? I don't think they do, really,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I don't think so well they need one, you know.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I'll be glad to be the Pioneer. Okay, So I'm
- 12:21Speaker 1: all about this. I'll be happy to guest host with
- 12:23Speaker 1: you anytime you need a host on there. I'm ready
- 12:26Speaker 1: to go. I'm ready to talk about Pioneer football. Okay, Yeah,
- 12:30Speaker 1: that was sincere. All right, let's talk well, you know
- 12:33Speaker 1: you wanted to talk about it. We're gonna talk about
- 12:35Speaker 1: it right away, because you didn't listen to me in
- 12:37Speaker 1: our crosstalk. But UK football announced yesterday they are gonna
- 12:42Speaker 1: now be playing two games a week zero the next
- 12:46Speaker 1: two seasons, so starting not this season, but next year,
- 12:50Speaker 1: they will now be playing and it's all because the reason.
- 12:54Speaker 1: The reason is because the NCA passed this past June
- 12:58Speaker 1: the expansion of the regular sea to fourteen weeks. Well,
- 13:04Speaker 1: and of course it was finalized literally earlier this week,
- 13:07Speaker 1: so they this is what the difference between the old
- 13:13Speaker 1: regime and the new regime justin and I think what
- 13:16Speaker 1: the new regime they are on top of this, They
- 13:19Speaker 1: can't miss right now, knock on wood, they are not missing,
- 13:23Speaker 1: and I think they're doing a phenomenal job. And I
- 13:28Speaker 1: love this. So now instead of playing Murray State next
- 13:33Speaker 1: season September eighteenth, they're now going to play them August
- 13:39Speaker 1: the twenty eighth. That's so early. I love this same
- 13:43Speaker 1: and it is early, and there aren't many other games
- 13:48Speaker 1: of decent matchups and this is an okay matchup. And
- 13:52Speaker 1: then twenty twenty eight, UK's gonna play Eastern Illinois. Listen
- 13:57Speaker 1: to this on August twenty six, so this is week zero.
- 14:00Speaker 1: There are a few reasons why I think this is fantastic.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Number one, it is week zero. Number two, there aren't
- 14:09Speaker 1: many matchups like I just mentioned. Number three, UK will
- 14:14Speaker 1: get exposure nationwide that I think is probably the biggest
- 14:19Speaker 1: right there. And uh and then also it's going to
- 14:23Speaker 1: give them a week to recover till the week one
- 14:26Speaker 1: of the football season starts. So it's almost you hate
- 14:30Speaker 1: to say exhibition game, but it almost justin is like
- 14:34Speaker 1: an exhibition game that counts. It does count exactly. So
- 14:39Speaker 1: that's why I'm kind of putting Astrich quotation marks next
- 14:43Speaker 1: two that it's exhibition. No, it's not. It's a real game.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Sayah asterisk. Oh come on, don't please, don't make me
- 14:51Speaker 1: squirrel right now, because now I'm going to think Ostrich.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Now I'm gonna think everything else. No, have you ever
- 14:56Speaker 1: had an Ostrich chake? This is the way my mind
- 14:58Speaker 1: works now. I can't stop thinking about It's an asterisk. Okay,
- 15:03Speaker 1: I called it astridch God, you drive me nuts, and
- 15:06Speaker 1: that's why I love you anyway, So can I get
- 15:10Speaker 1: back on the point, Michael bit come on, stop it
- 15:14Speaker 1: it's not even you justin, it's my mind working, right,
- 15:16Speaker 1: now and I'm trying to settle down, But I love this.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I love that they have put this into play, they
- 15:24Speaker 1: have taken advantage of it, and they've got it in
- 15:26Speaker 1: full force alright within days of it finalizing. What do
- 15:30Speaker 1: you think about it?
- 15:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I love it, especially if I'm UK fan.
- 15:33Speaker 2: It's it's fantastic because the matchups you get in week zero,
- 15:38Speaker 2: sometimes you get a good one or a one that
- 15:41Speaker 2: looks somewhat intriguing, but more times than not, like you said,
- 15:45Speaker 2: they're just they're not good games. Nobody really cares about them.
- 15:47Speaker 2: People are gonna watch them because it helps them scratch
- 15:50Speaker 2: that itch.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but when you.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Got your team playing in week zero that that changes ever,
- 15:55Speaker 2: it does, it really does. All right, are you ready
- 15:59Speaker 2: for this? My doctor just texted me, Oh boy, he said,
- 16:03Speaker 2: I heard you on the radio that you have back pain.
- 16:05Speaker 2: If you need to talk, then call me after you
- 16:08Speaker 2: are done with the show. I'll be in the office
- 16:10Speaker 2: seeing patience today. How do you like that doctor right there?
- 16:15Speaker 2: Thank you, Jeff Over, I really appreciate that. So yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 2: I'll call you in a little bit.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Jeff. Don't you love the fact that my doctor is
- 16:22Speaker 1: listening to us? On the radio and he's responding, I
- 16:25Speaker 1: got a little bit of cold. Jeff's going to text me, Michael,
- 16:27Speaker 1: you know I got stuff for that. Now come on
- 16:29Speaker 1: in here. I'll take care of that cold. This guy's awesome.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I mean, I'm just telling you. I've just started seeing
- 16:35Speaker 1: him and I love the guy so uh anyway, but
- 16:39Speaker 1: he kills me. He is a iron Man. He has
- 16:42Speaker 1: done multiple iron Man. You walk in his office and
- 16:46Speaker 1: he's got all these medals. I'm like, what is all
- 16:48Speaker 1: that he goes? I do iron Man? I wonder if
- 16:49Speaker 1: he knows John Bowle. Oh, just I didn't know John Bolden. See,
- 16:55Speaker 1: I've got another gentleman that I've known for many years. Sorry, Josh,
- 17:01Speaker 1: I didn't say it. So you can't take a swig,
- 17:03Speaker 1: but that that does iron Man. And he's sixty five
- 17:08Speaker 1: years old, moly, and you would never know it. I
- 17:11Speaker 1: mean it just it's he doesn't do the half marathons.
- 17:15Speaker 1: He does the full marathons. In his age. It's just
- 17:19Speaker 1: an amazing how these guys are able to do that.
- 17:21Speaker 1: So no, all right, go back to the whole football thing.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I just think it's great. I'm looking so forward to this.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to UK getting this exposure. And I
- 17:30Speaker 1: think that's where having a fresh staff that is younger,
- 17:40Speaker 1: that is out there knowing what to do, what is
- 17:43Speaker 1: going to promote their program. And I think will Stein's
- 17:47Speaker 1: just doing everything the right way. No, I mean, I
- 17:49Speaker 1: don't want to put even just Stein, but you got
- 17:51Speaker 1: to get a lot of credit to Oh. Absolutely, And
- 17:55Speaker 1: that's thank you very much, And I appreciate you mentioning
- 17:57Speaker 1: that because you're right. It's just so much fun to
- 18:00Speaker 1: have because I don't want to sound like I'm knocking anybody,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and I promise you I'm not too. But it seemed
- 18:08Speaker 1: like over the last couple of years things had become
- 18:11Speaker 1: stagnant within the athletic department and there wasn't anything fresh
- 18:16Speaker 1: coming out. It happens when you've got a dinosaur running
- 18:18Speaker 1: it well. And see, I didn't want to say, come on, man,
- 18:21Speaker 1: I was trying not to say, but you're right, Well
- 18:25Speaker 1: I have a reason to hide. Well, you're right, but
- 18:26Speaker 1: I'm trying to keep it positive, Okay, I just I
- 18:29Speaker 1: don't want to knock anything. But because he did so
- 18:31Speaker 1: many good things, but it seemed like we were just
- 18:35Speaker 1: here's a good way to describe it. Sometimes people get
- 18:38Speaker 1: to a point in their job they're just going through
- 18:40Speaker 1: the motions and it doesn't come out with any fresh
- 18:45Speaker 1: ideas when you're just going through the motion. And that's
- 18:48Speaker 1: why you need a break. And I just wonder, there
- 18:53Speaker 1: are four and you know what, somebody I'm looking at
- 18:56Speaker 1: right now needs one. So maybe he needs a little
- 18:58Speaker 1: bit of a refresh. So one day you need to
- 19:01Speaker 1: take a little time. I would kill for a fait case. Well,
- 19:04Speaker 1: you need to take some You just take a couple
- 19:06Speaker 1: of weeks. Took yesterday morning off, you did no, I
- 19:10Speaker 1: mean well on the show exactly. You took this morning
- 19:13Speaker 1: off for a five ten minutes talking to me on crosstalk.
- 19:16Speaker 1: So anyway, all right, we gotta take a break. Five
- 19:19Speaker 1: O two three eight four fourteen fifty. You want to
- 19:21Speaker 1: call in five oh two four to one four fourteen fifty.
- 19:24Speaker 1: If you want to text in on the Whiskey Thief
- 19:26Speaker 1: text liner, you tweet me at just the cat rail. See,
- 19:28Speaker 1: I'm just going through the motion there. I'm not even
- 19:30Speaker 1: thinking what I'm saying. Those those things are just coming out.
- 19:33Speaker 1: But I like staying fresh, and I know there are
- 19:37Speaker 1: times that's like, Okay, the older I get the more
- 19:39Speaker 1: I realize when I have to take a little time off.
- 19:43Speaker 1: And I did that last week one day. But I
- 19:46Speaker 1: don't know. One day is better than no days. It is,
- 19:49Speaker 1: I agree with you, So all right, let's take a break.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Five O two three four fourteen fifty five or two
- 19:53Speaker 1: four one four fourteen fifty sea. I'm going through the
- 19:55Speaker 1: motion again. And I didn't realize I had just literally
- 19:59Speaker 1: said that stay right there there more. Just the cat's
- 20:01Speaker 1: coming up. Thanks a lot, Jeff Omer, I'm calling you.
- 20:04Speaker 1: We russ away. It's a talking day, talking across the
- 20:18Speaker 1: count and my little dancing time.
- 20:36Speaker 3: I'll come from where the rivers meet to see.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Sparta.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I'm so wild and fancy free.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I was early in the crazy way. The fool said
- 20:53Speaker 1: it's just a fame. They were hoping for better days.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Do you realize Jimmy Buffett sang this song or recorded
- 21:00Speaker 1: this song twice, two different ways. This slower version and
- 21:05Speaker 1: then a faster version. I actually I like both of them.
- 21:09Speaker 1: I actually kind of liked the other version more so.
- 21:11Speaker 1: They played it in a movie called Hoot, which I'm
- 21:15Speaker 1: sure you never saw, but had Luke Olsen and it
- 21:17Speaker 1: Jimmy Buffett was in it. It was a really good movie.
- 21:21Speaker 1: There it is right there. Yes, the other one. This
- 21:23Speaker 1: is the other one. Yes, it's a little more upbeat. Yea, yeah,
- 21:27Speaker 1: listen to it. I do too. I thought it was
- 21:29Speaker 1: the same song. Now think about it. Oh it's a
- 21:33Speaker 1: little more care be and feel. I like this one. Yeah,
- 21:35Speaker 1: so hold on, wait till he sings, and you see
- 21:37Speaker 1: he sings a little faster.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Now, come on, hurry out, come from where the riversion?
- 21:46Speaker 1: See that? Nice? Like, Yeah, it's a little more upbeat.
- 21:50Speaker 1: But have you ever heard of another singer. I've never
- 21:52Speaker 1: heard of another singer. Well, I shouldn't say that. There
- 21:55Speaker 1: have been other bands or singers that have sung their
- 21:58Speaker 1: song in different way. Really, I think Prince has done
- 22:02Speaker 1: it a couple of times. I want to say the
- 22:05Speaker 1: Rolling Stones did it. But it's kind of unusual. Yeah,
- 22:11Speaker 1: it's kind of what was a movie Tom Hanks did
- 22:15Speaker 1: where he was a talent scout and he found a
- 22:19Speaker 1: bat that way you do or something like that. Never
- 22:24Speaker 1: saw that one. That thing you do is what it's
- 22:26Speaker 1: called that thing you do? And they had a U
- 22:30Speaker 1: so they were singing a song and made up a song.
- 22:33Speaker 1: They were going to do this talent contest at a
- 22:35Speaker 1: college and the drummer broke and fellow's arms. So the
- 22:38Speaker 1: heady gets this other drummer and then the drummer gets
- 22:41Speaker 1: there on stage and it was supposed to be a
- 22:42Speaker 1: slow song they were playing, and he turns up the
- 22:45Speaker 1: beat and they play it really fast and then it
- 22:47Speaker 1: becomes this country ride, gigantic hit from a slow song
- 22:52Speaker 1: to a fast song. And I love that. That was
- 22:55Speaker 1: Did you not say that that thing you do? Did
- 22:56Speaker 1: you not see it? Yeah? It was a pretty good movie.
- 23:00Speaker 1: So it's got that guy that lives over outside of Lexington.
- 23:04Speaker 1: He was in it. He's a funny guy. I can't
- 23:06Speaker 1: think of his name, of course. Uh but Josh texted
- 23:09Speaker 1: out five O two four one fourteen fifty. Can I
- 23:11Speaker 1: read this? Here's a good one morning show called Just
- 23:15Speaker 1: the Tip an afternoon Joe called just the Pullout. Oh uh, okay,
- 23:22Speaker 1: you were thinking of Steve. Steve's on that's him. Yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 1: I love that guy. He's what's that? He's funny? Kay? Roger?
- 23:30Speaker 1: Oh that's right, he did say k Roger, didn't he?
- 23:33Speaker 1: Which I should refer to the stadium every now and then,
- 23:36Speaker 1: is that I don't have a problem saying that, But
- 23:38Speaker 1: to me, it's Kroger Field. Crogerfield at the k Roger
- 23:43Speaker 1: that's what. That's what. Yeah, k Roger Field at Commonwealth Stadium.
- 23:47Speaker 1: There we go ahead, it wrong? Uh. One person texted
- 23:50Speaker 1: in would love for y'all to expand your podcast to
- 23:54Speaker 1: other local schools, especially since private schools get enough shining glory.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I mean that's the plan eventually, it is, and your
- 24:05Speaker 1: your other partner there is okay with that because you know,
- 24:08Speaker 1: he's he's he's got the one shining moment for his sun. Yeah,
- 24:12Speaker 1: but I mean he's he was, so he spent a
- 24:14Speaker 1: lot of time over here in Louisville coaching. He's been
- 24:18Speaker 1: in coaching his whole life, so he he's aware of
- 24:21Speaker 1: the rest of the area of southern Indiana and then
- 24:23Speaker 1: Kentuckyana too. So yeah, maybe that's an option. What is
- 24:27Speaker 1: his real job? He's retired? Oh he is.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Oh, it's even better retired LMPD. Do you want to
- 24:32Speaker 2: say what he does? What his name is? Dennis? Dennis yep? No,
- 24:36Speaker 2: last name McDonald? Okay, Dennis McDonald McDonald.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I like that.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Actually I'm gonna start calling him that. Ah. That's a
- 24:44Speaker 2: great thing. Yes, when you get upset with him on
- 24:47Speaker 2: your podcast. Listen, Old McDonald, that's an old man take.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I mean, that's all you gotta do is just say
- 24:52Speaker 1: old McDonald and everybody will start knowing what you're talking about.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Did you come in? Did you come up with some music?
- 24:58Speaker 1: So I'm no, I mean yes and.
- 25:00Speaker 2: No, you gotta have some music with it now. I
- 25:02Speaker 2: don't have anything prepared right now. I'm just gonna use
- 25:05Speaker 2: like boring music that's on on the software that we're using.
- 25:10Speaker 1: But do that you you gotta come in hot?
- 25:13Speaker 2: No, no, I I will personally come in hot. But
- 25:16Speaker 2: we're gonna we're gonna get a voiceover and so below it.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'll do the voiceover. I don't think you're what we're
- 25:24Speaker 1: looking for. I love how you say that, Michael. You
- 25:29Speaker 1: don't qualify, Yeah, I don't. I don't think you fit
- 25:31Speaker 1: the criteria. Yeah, okay? Uh forty eight. Handley said most
- 25:35Speaker 1: of those rinky de course racing meets like the Ashland
- 25:38Speaker 1: Courter horses simply to qualify for a year round simulcasting
- 25:42Speaker 1: without knowing. I I bet they have slots. By the way,
- 25:46Speaker 1: Does Churchill own it? Uh? I don't believe Churchill downs
- 25:50Speaker 1: owns it? Uh so let's get to this right and
- 25:55Speaker 1: I'll be glad to talk about it right now. And
- 25:57Speaker 1: of course it's gone. But it's called Sandy Ridge Racing
- 26:03Speaker 1: and they literally just opened up yesterday in Ashland, Kentucky.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't think it was Who owns it? Does
- 26:11Speaker 2: it say Revolutionary Racing Kentucky? Oh so it's somebody here
- 26:17Speaker 2: locally in partnership with EBCI Holdings whoever. That is Eastern
- 26:21Speaker 2: Band of Cherokee Indians. Oh so this is a Indian.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Ones. They can get away with that. Wait wait, wait,
- 26:30Speaker 1: I don't want to get in trouble. I didn't say that.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Justin Kalin said that. Okay, that was not me. Listen,
- 26:36Speaker 1: they'll put some voodoo on you, and they can do
- 26:38Speaker 1: it long distance, okay, it can come over the airways
- 26:40Speaker 1: and you're gonna have some problems. Your hair might not
- 26:42Speaker 1: grow back or something like that, okay, or you're gonna
- 26:45Speaker 1: have poison ivy for life. So I would not say
- 26:47Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. I'm out. Yeah, but they had
- 26:50Speaker 1: eight races yesterday, they got eight races today and so
- 26:53Speaker 1: it's only eight and here's the crazy part. Only eight
- 26:55Speaker 1: days of racing. So they have to proof the concept,
- 27:00Speaker 1: proof of concept, and then they can go requests for
- 27:04Speaker 1: more days next year. So that's what they're trying to do.
- 27:07Speaker 1: So only eight days of racing right now. H only
- 27:11Speaker 1: always gonna be quarterhorles and it's well, as far as
- 27:13Speaker 1: I know, it's only court horse racing. I don't know
- 27:16Speaker 1: if it'll expand tomorrow. Maybe it will, and maybe you
- 27:19Speaker 1: have a combination of horse, a thoroughbred horse racing court horse.
- 27:24Speaker 1: I don't. I would find that hard to believe, because
- 27:26Speaker 1: trust me, if anybody wants more dates of horse racing
- 27:30Speaker 1: is Churchill Downs. I don't know if they'd let anybody
- 27:33Speaker 1: else between Ellis Park, turf Way, Keenland and now you
- 27:38Speaker 1: got what's Kentucky Downs down in Franklin, Kentucky right there
- 27:45Speaker 1: outside of Bowling Green. So now you got that, and
- 27:47Speaker 1: they're wanning their race dates and that's that's a tremendous
- 27:51Speaker 1: race track down there. As far as what the purses are,
- 27:54Speaker 1: they're gigantic purses and more and more people are wanting
- 27:57Speaker 1: to race down there because of the purses. So but
- 28:00Speaker 1: you know, you look at this as like twenty six
- 28:02Speaker 1: thousand dollars, twenty six thousand dollars the big race today
- 28:07Speaker 1: is an allowance for sixty six thousand dollars and they're
- 28:09Speaker 1: they're going between two hundred and twenty and three hundred
- 28:12Speaker 1: yards and it's just no offense. I hope it succeeds.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I hope it does exceptionally well. But that's just is
- 28:20Speaker 1: that fun?
- 28:23Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think it is, yeah, because it's
- 28:27Speaker 2: like I said, it's not even fun to gamble on
- 28:30Speaker 2: because the race is over as soon as it.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Starts, exactly. But listen, I'm happy they're doing it. I've
- 28:37Speaker 1: often wondered why they didn't have quarter horse racing in Kentucky.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Now we do, and I hope they do well. I
- 28:43Speaker 1: really do. I might find myself going to Ashland, Kentucky,
- 28:47Speaker 1: just to experience it, just to see what it's like.
- 28:50Speaker 1: But it's more for the people in eastern Kentucky and
- 28:53Speaker 1: West Virginia, because you know, it's right across from Huntington,
- 28:55Speaker 1: West Virginia, and you got what, Charleston, West Virginia is
- 28:58Speaker 1: forty miles from there.
- 29:00Speaker 2: So these horses are all the same size as normal
- 29:03Speaker 2: race horses.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I guess they're quarter horses. I always thought they were
- 29:06Speaker 1: a little big quarter horses. No, they're not they're not
- 29:11Speaker 1: that big. They can get big, but they're not that big. No,
- 29:16Speaker 1: But that's that's quarter horse racing for it. All right, Uh,
- 29:19Speaker 1: let's talk about some basketball for a couple months. Yesterday
- 29:24Speaker 1: and can I just say recruiting today for athletes sucks. Well,
- 29:30Speaker 1: I want you to expand on that a little more.
- 29:32Speaker 1: But it's just changed so much. Why why do you
- 29:35Speaker 1: say it sucks?
- 29:36Speaker 2: There's just so many things you have to look at
- 29:38Speaker 2: and and try to figure out whether it's do you
- 29:42Speaker 2: bring in freshmen? Do you only go to the transfer portal?
- 29:45Speaker 2: How do you know who's gonna be in the transfer portal?
- 29:47Speaker 2: Is there tampering going on behind the scenes to get
- 29:50Speaker 2: these play like? There's just there's it's just too much.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, according to UK yesterday they had a two
- 29:58Speaker 1: and a half hour zoom with Michigan State for Jackson Cohler.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Two and a half hours on a zoom call. It's
- 30:07Speaker 1: a long time. That's a really long time. Now it's
- 30:10Speaker 1: been reported that one of the staff members of the
- 30:14Speaker 1: UK basketball team said the call went as good as
- 30:19Speaker 1: it could have. Now, I don't know how to take that.
- 30:22Speaker 1: I hope that means really positive. Now we all know
- 30:26Speaker 1: who is the leader in this recruiting battle for this player,
- 30:30Speaker 1: Jackson Cohler, which is BUYU. Now, a lot of people
- 30:33Speaker 1: are saying since UK has gotten involved, that's kind of changed.
- 30:37Speaker 1: I'm here to tell you this has become a rivalry. Yeah,
- 30:43Speaker 1: you can say whatever you want. And we haven't even
- 30:46Speaker 1: played them and we're getting ready to thank goodness. But
- 30:49Speaker 1: UK has got a new rival and it's called Brigham
- 30:53Speaker 1: Young University. Because I feel like UK can't lose this
- 30:57Speaker 1: recruit if they do, It's like, okay, I think this
- 31:02Speaker 1: rivalry is getting even bigger. What do you think? I
- 31:05Speaker 1: think you can lose him as long as you land
- 31:07Speaker 1: Mark Mitchell. Yeah, but you know, we talked about it yesterday.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Somebody asked on the text line, who would we rather
- 31:15Speaker 1: have Mark Mitchell or would we rather have Jackson Cohler?
- 31:19Speaker 1: And you and I both agreed we would rather have
- 31:22Speaker 1: Jackson Cohler.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Although yeah, oh was it two years ago Mark Mitchell
- 31:28Speaker 2: dropped like thirty two on Kentucky. Yes, I mean, so
- 31:31Speaker 2: you know he's a capable guy. I really don't think
- 31:34Speaker 2: you can go wrong either way either way. I mean,
- 31:36Speaker 2: there is all the speculation about him in the locker
- 31:39Speaker 2: room but you can't worry about that.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Well, you can't, but it certainly is a risk, and
- 31:44Speaker 1: don't you want to remove a little more risk, especially
- 31:48Speaker 1: with the issues we had last year supposedly within the
- 31:51Speaker 1: locker room. Sure, that to me is a big concern.
- 31:54Speaker 1: You can sugarcoat it all that you want, but that,
- 31:58Speaker 1: to me is a red flag. I'm not going to
- 32:00Speaker 1: say it's a major red flag, but it's a bit
- 32:02Speaker 1: of a red flag. With Jackson, it's a little safer
- 32:05Speaker 1: because he's coming from tom Izzoh. I'd love to know
- 32:08Speaker 1: why he wants to leave other than it's a money grab.
- 32:10Speaker 1: He can't get in the NBA right now and he
- 32:12Speaker 1: just wants money and Missigan State's not offering him the
- 32:15Speaker 1: money that he wants. That's the only thing. And that's
- 32:17Speaker 1: not picking on Jackson Cohler. That's picking h not really
- 32:20Speaker 1: picking on anybody. Is that the case for all these
- 32:23Speaker 1: fifthier players? Is it just a money grab for them?
- 32:26Speaker 1: They I'm going to look and see where else I
- 32:28Speaker 1: can make more money. To me, it is, and I
- 32:32Speaker 1: don't know, I don't I don't really think it is.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Maybe maybe a future money grab. I mean there's I'm
- 32:38Speaker 1: undoubtedly there's players that. Yeah, it's a money grab, but
- 32:41Speaker 1: you got I read a story this morning about how
- 32:44Speaker 1: with the new injunction, there are so many players in
- 32:50Speaker 1: the NFL that had signed contracts that they could realistically,
- 32:55Speaker 1: if they could get out of their contract, they could
- 32:57Speaker 1: come back to college. Why why would they want to
- 32:59Speaker 1: do that? That doesn't seem like a money grab. That
- 33:02Speaker 1: just seems like a situation where you weren't drafted as
- 33:05Speaker 1: high as you thought you were, so let me go
- 33:07Speaker 1: back to school for a year, prove how good I am,
- 33:10Speaker 1: and then maybe I'll get drafted higher next year, which
- 33:12Speaker 1: ultimately leads to more money in the future. Yeah, but
- 33:18Speaker 1: does that one extra year really help them? Sometimes? I
- 33:22Speaker 1: think it does. You don't know, You gotta and that's
- 33:25Speaker 1: where I guess you would have to trust your agent
- 33:27Speaker 1: because they're the ones that are going to know more
- 33:29Speaker 1: than you are.
- 33:30Speaker 2: But I mean, to go from being on an NFL
- 33:34Speaker 2: contract to possibly wanting to go back to college is
- 33:37Speaker 2: a massive risk.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Oh yeah, especially in football. I mean, I don't think
- 33:41Speaker 1: it's as much in basketball.
- 33:43Speaker 2: You've got something guaranteed right now, and you're gonna take
- 33:46Speaker 2: that guarantee away to try to get a better guarantee.
- 33:50Speaker 1: For only one year. It's a little gutsy, yeah, whereas
- 33:53Speaker 1: you could get a longer term guarantee professionally. Yeah, I'm
- 33:59Speaker 1: with you right there. That's that's kind of crazy right there.
- 34:01Speaker 1: But I don't know. I don't know what to think
- 34:04Speaker 1: of this. Do I think he's gonna come to UK?
- 34:07Speaker 1: Who knows? Nobody knows right now. I don't even think
- 34:09Speaker 1: the UK staff knows. He probably doesn't even know. But
- 34:12Speaker 1: I mean, doing a this is what drives me nuts.
- 34:15Speaker 1: But a zoom call and that's how you're going to
- 34:20Speaker 1: decide on the school or is he just trying to
- 34:24Speaker 1: show the other school as well? I'm talking to Kentucky
- 34:26Speaker 1: now you better drive your price up. See. That's what
- 34:29Speaker 1: concerns me about all this. If a player is serious,
- 34:33Speaker 1: it seems like they would have feats on the ground
- 34:35Speaker 1: at the respective school. Maybe it's not feasible, maybe, but
- 34:41Speaker 1: that's a wild decision to make. I think it was
- 34:44Speaker 1: Mom Chillovich that did the same thing. He hadn't been
- 34:46Speaker 1: to Lexington at all until he was there to go
- 34:50Speaker 1: to school or start practicing, and I think that's crazy.
- 34:54Speaker 1: I mean, I would like to go see the area first,
- 34:57Speaker 1: see the school before I make this one year decay. Yeah,
- 35:00Speaker 1: but this isn't nineteen nine. You're exactly right. You can.
- 35:03Speaker 2: You can go online and drop a pin on the
- 35:06Speaker 2: Google Maps and you can go around the whole city
- 35:08Speaker 2: of Lexington if you want. You can go through campus,
- 35:11Speaker 2: I imagine. I mean, there's there's ways to see the
- 35:14Speaker 2: school without visiting the school. And I'm sure on the
- 35:17Speaker 2: on that two and a half hour meeting, you're telling
- 35:19Speaker 2: me they didn't walk him around and show him the
- 35:22Speaker 2: facilities during that two and a half hour.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Oh, I'm sure they did, like a presentation, yeah, a
- 35:27Speaker 1: PowerPoint presentation and show here's our workout facilities, here's our
- 35:32Speaker 1: practice facilities, here's everything. I'm sure they showed that. But
- 35:35Speaker 1: you don't get a feel for the city. Yeah I can.
- 35:38Speaker 1: I can go look at Bangkok right now. Will I
- 35:41Speaker 1: really get a feel of Bangkok? No, So I'm just
- 35:46Speaker 1: that was a wild city to pick, by the way,
- 35:48Speaker 1: But go explore Bangkok. Yeah, no, I don't want you
- 35:51Speaker 1: to because it's not a safe place. You might get robbed.
- 35:53Speaker 1: But anyway, I just I just think it's a crazy
- 35:57Speaker 1: way that people are recruiting today. I get it, But
- 36:00Speaker 1: if I'm the one being recruited. I want to go
- 36:03Speaker 1: see there and see it myself, not just see it
- 36:06Speaker 1: through a video on your computer. So anyway, all right,
- 36:09Speaker 1: let's go ahead, take another break five two four one
- 36:12Speaker 1: four fourteen fifty five two three uh of three eight
- 36:15Speaker 1: four fourteen fifty you want to call in stay right there?
- 36:18Speaker 1: More just the cats coming up.
- 36:24Speaker 3: Now in my line over seeing you see a lot
- 36:28Speaker 3: more than the post, ride them down, down, and pass
- 36:32Speaker 3: on around. It's the Gospels of the coast reflections, not
- 36:37Speaker 3: just replace.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Taking time to escape the maids looking for at today,
- 36:46Speaker 1: looking to.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Sweetwater, hidden river flows right by my flace, live slough
- 37:09Speaker 3: fish is good.
- 37:10Speaker 1: That's how I spend Monday.
- 37:13Speaker 3: I got a sun brown local lady.
- 37:15Speaker 1: She hails from Bonsecle.
- 37:18Speaker 3: She makes the best bride shrimp and collared greens.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Go rose as her pom by. Now you must do
- 37:24Speaker 1: you watch now you're going to deep tracks today. I
- 37:27Speaker 1: like see I like the songs you think because they're
- 37:30Speaker 1: not songs anybody ever listens to. And this is a
- 37:32Speaker 1: really good one, right.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Jimmy Buffett has so many songs, and it's like I
- 37:36Speaker 2: can play six different songs on twenty eight different Thursdays,
- 37:40Speaker 2: and I'll still have half his songs left.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, oh no, you still have more than that.
- 37:44Speaker 1: But you're exactly correct. I like that so uh so,
- 37:48Speaker 1: yesterday it's being announced that it looks like the University
- 37:52Speaker 1: of Tennessee and the University of Alabama are agreeing to
- 37:55Speaker 1: wear their home jerseys for this upcoming season and the
- 38:00Speaker 1: next season, meaning when they play each other, both teams
- 38:05Speaker 1: will have their home jerseys on. So you're gonna see
- 38:07Speaker 1: that orange and crimson. I love this idea. You don't,
- 38:13Speaker 1: You already making a face you don't like it. I
- 38:15Speaker 1: don't like the color combination. Well, I don't like the
- 38:18Speaker 1: color combination either, But I like it when rivals get
- 38:21Speaker 1: together and say, you know what, let's make this a
- 38:24Speaker 1: colorful event, not just a game, and they wear their
- 38:27Speaker 1: home instead of wearing you know, most of the time,
- 38:29Speaker 1: the home team wears their color jersey, like Kentucky would
- 38:32Speaker 1: wear blue. If they're away, they would wear a white jersey.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I have always wanted for UK to play Tennessee. Where
- 38:42Speaker 1: Tennessee and Kentucky play their home wear their home jerseys.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Or captain it will just look like Florida whole field
- 38:52Speaker 2: to look like Florida blown blue and orange.
- 38:55Speaker 1: I love that, all right? Jump? What what what if
- 39:01Speaker 1: U of L and UK played and they're blue and red? That?
- 39:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm good with that, Okay. I actually I've wanted
- 39:07Speaker 2: to see that for you.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Well, they if you remember, the women's teams did it
- 39:12Speaker 1: last year for basketball and UK won, And I'm like, okay,
- 39:16Speaker 1: I kind of like this idea. I just I think
- 39:19Speaker 1: that would be a phenomenal idea if if U K
- 39:22Speaker 1: decided to do it with one team, who would it be?
- 39:25Speaker 1: And you've already said you would rather see it with
- 39:28Speaker 1: U of L. I would like to see it with
- 39:30Speaker 1: Tennessee if I had my brothers. I'm just I'm too.
- 39:35Speaker 1: He did it. Well, let's but Florida's orange is a
- 39:40Speaker 1: different orange, just to let you know. Tennessee's is more
- 39:44Speaker 1: of a they call it dreamsicle, kind of like the
- 39:48Speaker 1: old Tampa Bay Buccaneer dreamsicle jerseys. It's kind of a lighter,
- 39:53Speaker 1: brighter orange.
- 39:54Speaker 2: That checks out that their colors dreamcircle because they're always
- 39:57Speaker 2: dreaming they're gonna.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Get a Final four. That is true. Now. For some reason,
- 40:03Speaker 1: yesterday a h the final show of David Letterman came
- 40:08Speaker 1: on my YouTube strings and I watched it. He had
- 40:13Speaker 1: no beard, right, yeah, No, he looked normal. Yeah, he
- 40:17Speaker 1: looks kind of weird. Zach Galafanak has had it right.
- 40:20Speaker 1: It looks like mess Santa Claus. But Crystal meths Santa Claus.
- 40:23Speaker 1: But uh, you gotta go watch that episode of Between
- 40:26Speaker 1: Two Ferns if you haven't seen that, by the way,
- 40:30Speaker 1: But he had the Top ten and had all these
- 40:32Speaker 1: you know, famous people come there and things that you've
- 40:35Speaker 1: always wanted to say to Dave, which I thought was
- 40:37Speaker 1: really funny. You had Peyton Manning on there, and you
- 40:39Speaker 1: could tell out of all the stars, Jim Carrey, Steve Martin,
- 40:45Speaker 1: Jerry Seinfeld, Louis Dreyfus, I can't think of her first name.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Who else was there, Barbara Walters. This was all the
- 40:55Speaker 1: last show, all on his last show, doing the top
- 40:58Speaker 1: ten things you always wish you said to David Leniman.
- 41:02Speaker 1: And then he had on Peyton Manning, and of all
- 41:07Speaker 1: the people that he kept going back to, he kept
- 41:10Speaker 1: going back to Peyton Manning, which I thought was really interesting.
- 41:14Speaker 1: You could tell he was kind of googly for Peyton Manning.
- 41:17Speaker 1: All the other huge celebrities that were there are just
- 41:20Speaker 1: standing there, and he kept going back to Peyton Manning.
- 41:23Speaker 1: I thought that was really funny. But of course, you know,
- 41:27Speaker 1: I think of Peyton Manning, I think of Tennessee, and
- 41:29Speaker 1: I think of the Colts. But I just I would
- 41:32Speaker 1: love them to where the home and home against Tennessee.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I don't know why, why U of l just just
- 41:40Speaker 1: because of the orange and you're gonna think about Florida.
- 41:42Speaker 1: That's the only thing that's you know, I'm just too
- 41:47Speaker 1: ocd for those two colors to go together.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Yeah, whereas if Louisville Kentucky both played in their colored uniforms,
- 41:52Speaker 2: then that makes sense. Like red and blue together looks
- 41:56Speaker 2: pretty good.
- 41:56Speaker 1: Yeah, blue and orange, no, I'm out, especially like blue
- 42:01Speaker 1: and orange. I'm definitely out on maroon and orange. Well,
- 42:05Speaker 1: I think that's gross. Yeah. If I had my favorite
- 42:08Speaker 1: color combinations, I'll tell you what. The two colors I
- 42:11Speaker 1: like the most are between these two. And I do
- 42:15Speaker 1: love Auburn's colors. The Navy it's kind of like the
- 42:19Speaker 1: Bears with the orange. I think that's pretty cool looking.
- 42:23Speaker 1: And I've always liked the Seahawks they're lime green with
- 42:27Speaker 1: that navy blue. I thought that those two color combinations
- 42:31Speaker 1: right there, I've always loved I thought were really nice looking.
- 42:36Speaker 1: In fact, that's you know I put on the sceney
- 42:39Speaker 1: kill stable silk. I put the it's called glow green.
- 42:43Speaker 1: It's kind of a similar to the green that you
- 42:46Speaker 1: see on the Seahawks, because I always thought it was
- 42:48Speaker 1: pretty cool. It's between that and Barbaro the Horse Barbaro silks.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I just always thought that was kind of cool, so
- 42:54Speaker 1: I did that. But anyway, I don't know, I just
- 42:57Speaker 1: kind of like that. But your blue orange is always
- 43:01Speaker 1: okay basketball? Would you like to see that in basketball?
- 43:07Speaker 2: I want to see it, never sp If Kentucky and
- 43:09Speaker 2: Louisville are playing, they should be in red and blue jersey.
- 43:12Speaker 2: I don't care what this port.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Well. I'm just curious. Why did they do it in
- 43:15Speaker 1: women's basketball but they didn't do it in men's basketball.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I don't know. I hope so I think they will
- 43:22Speaker 1: too since they did in women's and every it was
- 43:25Speaker 1: a huge hit last year especially, and I'm a I'm
- 43:29Speaker 1: a firm believer of you know what, if you got
- 43:32Speaker 1: that combination going on where the home and home's going on,
- 43:35Speaker 1: and uh, you win, you're the winning team from that
- 43:39Speaker 1: I want to do it every single year until I
- 43:43Speaker 1: lose and then I don't want to do it anymore.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Let's just stop for a little while. So yeah, I
- 43:48Speaker 1: think it's a great idea. I hope they do that,
- 43:50Speaker 1: so we'll see if they do. One person texted in
- 43:53Speaker 1: those Caribbean sounds that from that Jimmy Buffett song sounds
- 43:57Speaker 1: like a Kenny Chesney. Have you ever heard of him? Michael?
- 44:03Speaker 1: Is he joking with me? By the way, he has
- 44:05Speaker 1: to be joking. Okay, Yeah, I've heard of him. And yes,
- 44:09Speaker 1: that's all I'll say about that guy. Okay, he does say,
- 44:12Speaker 1: just kidding, Michael. But I always knew there was something
- 44:16Speaker 1: off about Chesney because he would never take his hat off.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Knew he was being vain about going bald. Well, you
- 44:24Speaker 1: know who else hides his baldness by wearing a hat
- 44:27Speaker 1: all the time, and he looks completely different, almost unrecognizable
- 44:33Speaker 1: when he takes his hat off. Alan Jackson. Yeah, and
- 44:38Speaker 1: when people like, for instance, I always thought it was
- 44:41Speaker 1: funny when you would see baseball managers or baseball players
- 44:46Speaker 1: outside of their uniform. They look completely different. To me.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Alex Rodriguez, I think looks completely different. Poppy I think
- 44:55Speaker 1: he looks complete. It's taken a while for me to
- 44:58Speaker 1: get used to them seeing them outside their uniform. I
- 45:02Speaker 1: think that's the same for football players.
- 45:04Speaker 2: More so for football players because they have a helvers
- 45:07Speaker 2: their head.
- 45:08Speaker 1: And now you got all these players that are wearing
- 45:10Speaker 1: the shields. He can't see their eyes, so you have
- 45:13Speaker 1: no idea what they look like.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Did you see, by any chance the video of Oh
- 45:18Speaker 2: you probably didn't, because I think it was on The
- 45:20Speaker 2: Quarterback Show on Netflix. But Joe Flacco when he was
- 45:23Speaker 2: at Cleveland Sacho Flacco. I think it was sder Sanders,
- 45:27Speaker 2: one of those young quarterbacks, had a visor and Flacco
- 45:30Speaker 2: just rose, Oh did he really like it? Like I
- 45:33Speaker 2: always thought those things look stupid. It's not helping you,
- 45:35Speaker 2: blah blah blah. Yeah it was so fun.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if I necessarily agree that it's
- 45:40Speaker 1: not helping you. Uh. I always thought, do they wear
- 45:44Speaker 1: it because of the fact that they don't want to
- 45:45Speaker 1: get poked in the ass? Well that's what he was saying.
- 45:47Speaker 2: He was like, all these kids, you all don't even
- 45:49Speaker 2: wear these for a purpose. You wear them because they
- 45:51Speaker 2: look cool. Oh is that what it is?
- 45:53Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, Okay, that's interesting, did you. I don't remember
- 45:57Speaker 1: who it was. Speaking of advisors, there was a major
- 46:01Speaker 1: league baseball player. I don't remember who it was or
- 46:04Speaker 1: what team it was. As he's he's in the outfield
- 46:07Speaker 1: going for a flyball. As he's going for the fly ball,
- 46:11Speaker 1: he's putting on his sunglasses. Oh yeah, to catch the ball.
- 46:15Speaker 1: I thought that was incredible and I was like, Holy cow,
- 46:20Speaker 1: how do you do it? I couldn't concentrate. That's too
- 46:22Speaker 1: many things for me to think about. So it's like
- 46:25Speaker 1: to have the perception to be able to reach around
- 46:28Speaker 1: wherever your sunglasses are. Take him off, continue to run,
- 46:32Speaker 1: continue to track the baseball, put your sunglasses on, and
- 46:37Speaker 1: then catch it. I think it's one of the craziest everything. Yeah,
- 46:40Speaker 1: it was all right, We got our two coming right up.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Stay right there. Oh there's another good when I'm going
- 46:45Speaker 1: to talk about that soon as we get back. More
- 46:47Speaker 1: people that don't like to wear our love to wear
- 46:50Speaker 1: hats because they're hiding their balls. See in a minute,
- 46:55Speaker 1: some postman starts his our board because we'll get our
- 46:58Speaker 1: mail by boat.
- 47:00Speaker 3: That's saw up an eighty one to keep out the world.
- 47:10Speaker 3: Welcome to just the cats with Michael Bennett.
- 47:16Speaker 1: All right, I have number two on this Thursday. If
- 47:18Speaker 1: you want to call in five O two three four
- 47:20Speaker 1: fourteen fifty. You want to text in on the Whiskey
- 47:22Speaker 1: Thief text line five O two four one four fourteen fifty. Uh,
- 47:25Speaker 1: you tweet me just cat Ray. You remember the guy
- 47:27Speaker 1: I'm always saying that's parking here and dropping his kids
- 47:30Speaker 1: off works for has to work or do something for
- 47:33Speaker 1: U of L. Yeah, all right, I just talked to him.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Is that who you're talking to? It is? Yeah, I
- 47:37Speaker 1: thought I assumed you were on the phone. No, No,
- 47:40Speaker 1: strength and conditioning coach for women's basketball at u of L.
- 47:43Speaker 1: That's awesome. Yeah, dudes ripped, just to let you know. Yeah.
- 47:47Speaker 1: By the way, I went out to dinner with some
- 47:49Speaker 1: friends last night. No surprise there. No, Yeah, I do
- 47:53Speaker 1: that a lot. It seems like I've done that a
- 47:54Speaker 1: lot more lately. But uh uh ran into a couple
- 47:58Speaker 1: of people. Uh on purpose? No, not on purpose at all. Right.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Next to us at the next table was Eric Wood. Okay, yeah,
- 48:08Speaker 1: Eric comes, Oh right, Michael, he wants to come on
- 48:10Speaker 1: the show with me. He goes, You know, I played
- 48:13Speaker 1: football with your head coach and I'm like, oh my gosh,
- 48:16Speaker 1: I didn't even think about that. So he's he says
- 48:20Speaker 1: he wants to tell all kinds of stories on will Stein.
- 48:23Speaker 1: I thought, I thought that'd be great, especially before the
- 48:25Speaker 1: season starts. I'm gonna have Eric would come on with us.
- 48:29Speaker 1: And then I I met for the very first time
- 48:31Speaker 1: Don Schnadder. Oh last night. Yeah, how was that? Okay,
- 48:38Speaker 1: there you go? Was he unique? I'm not gonna say
- 48:42Speaker 1: he's unique. He's he's a he's a different kind of guy. Yeah,
- 48:46Speaker 1: but uh, I'm not gonna say things very nice. We
- 48:49Speaker 1: exchanged pleasantries. Did he give you a pizza cupon? That
- 48:53Speaker 1: would have been nice? No? No, but you could tell
- 48:56Speaker 1: he's all U of L. Now he had a U
- 48:59Speaker 1: of L shirt on. Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh, and
- 49:04Speaker 1: you know U of L wants that. So all right,
- 49:06Speaker 1: let's get to a few of these texts here, because
- 49:08Speaker 1: I want to make sure they get to uh uh
- 49:11Speaker 1: get to hear this. But uh well, one person said,
- 49:14Speaker 1: havior is gonna hate Justin as well? Why is he
- 49:16Speaker 1: stayting hater's gonna hate? I don't know what am I
- 49:18Speaker 1: hating about? Uh? I think coler uh is a better
- 49:22Speaker 1: fit for the needs and chemistry. I think Mitchell is
- 49:25Speaker 1: the better player on an individual level. I'd rather have Cohler.
- 49:30Speaker 1: Same thing, Yeah, the same boat. See, I mean I
- 49:33Speaker 1: think you do get probably more points out of Mitchell.
- 49:36Speaker 1: That's what concerns me a little bit. Yeah, but here's
- 49:38Speaker 1: the thing.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Yes, here's what I don't understand about this whole transfer
- 49:42Speaker 2: portal thing. And it's in regards to Louisville as well.
- 49:45Speaker 2: You could throw them in two three weeks ago. Both
- 49:50Speaker 2: fan bases were fine with their team, right, yeah, now
- 49:54Speaker 2: we need more And now it's like, yeah, well, well
- 49:57Speaker 2: there's more options out on the table.
- 49:58Speaker 1: We gotta get more. But I thought you were fine. Well,
- 50:02Speaker 1: I mean but this is where Mark Popa said, listen,
- 50:05Speaker 1: we're gonna add one more player. We're gonna have fifteen
- 50:07Speaker 1: players on this team. So I not that I'm putting
- 50:11Speaker 1: blame on Mark Pope, but he's kind of put a
- 50:14Speaker 1: little hope to the fan base that we're going to
- 50:16Speaker 1: add one more player. And then you see these ones
- 50:18Speaker 1: that are actually being r how are they being not romanticized?
- 50:26Speaker 1: But I mean they're kind of being handled by the UK.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Would you say courted? Thank you? I think that's the
- 50:35Speaker 1: perfect description but you got to being courted by UK,
- 50:38Speaker 1: but you got to get be careful with hope from pope.
- 50:41Speaker 1: We've seen that in the past it really worked out.
- 50:43Speaker 1: Well it hasn't, but let's just see how the season
- 50:47Speaker 1: play out.
- 50:48Speaker 2: But yeah, that's just that's just my whole takeaway. I
- 50:52Speaker 2: agree the team was fine and now all of a sudden,
- 50:54Speaker 2: it's not fine and we need to add more.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Oh come on, now, we always want more. Once once
- 51:00Speaker 1: you start making a little money, don't you want more
- 51:03Speaker 1: once you get a nice car? Don't you want a
- 51:04Speaker 1: nicer one once you get I don't want to say,
- 51:07Speaker 1: a nice wife. Don't you want a nicer one too? No,
- 51:09Speaker 1: I don't want that at all. But don't you want
- 51:12Speaker 1: a little more? Everybody wants a little more? I mean,
- 51:17Speaker 1: I guess, oh, come on, I you experienced their very
- 51:21Speaker 1: first national championship in football last year. You're telling me
- 51:26Speaker 1: justin kaylan, I'm good. Yeah, I don't think I need
- 51:29Speaker 1: another one. I mean I don't need another one. Oh,
- 51:32Speaker 1: come on, that'd bes.
- 51:33Speaker 2: But that being said, I'm gonna get another one this
- 51:36Speaker 2: year or so I might as well just get used
- 51:39Speaker 2: to it.
- 51:41Speaker 1: I'm telling you, Wow, that is cockiness. In his full
- 51:47Speaker 1: extent right there. Okay, all right, for that, we're going
- 51:50Speaker 1: to go on then, I because I wasn't gonna talk
- 51:53Speaker 1: about this, but we're gonna talk about it now. Uh,
- 51:56Speaker 1: because I think you brought this perfectly up. This is
- 51:59Speaker 1: a perfect segue. AP poll voters top twenty five most
- 52:04Speaker 1: underrated teams. Where do you think? Who do you think
- 52:11Speaker 1: is number one? Most underrated underrated teams? You won't guess.
- 52:17Speaker 1: I'm just gonna tell you, b yu. Okay, number two,
- 52:21Speaker 1: you're Indiana Hoosiers. That's right. So most underrated teams sleeping
- 52:27Speaker 1: on them? Well, I don't know if they're necessarily sleeping
- 52:32Speaker 1: on them. I think it's more approved me till I'm
- 52:35Speaker 1: wrong because of the fact, you know, you had your
- 52:37Speaker 1: Heisman Trophy quarterback that led you all the way to
- 52:41Speaker 1: the championships no longer there, and now you've got a
- 52:43Speaker 1: completely new one. Nobody knows about it.
- 52:45Speaker 2: He may be better when it's all said, Well, let's
- 52:48Speaker 2: see if he is or not, because we've heard that
- 52:50Speaker 2: before as well from other teams. I'm not saying Indiana,
- 52:53Speaker 2: but you're right. So that's been a big talking point
- 52:56Speaker 2: all off season, is all Josh Hoover can't come in
- 52:59Speaker 2: and be Fernando.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Why can't.
- 53:02Speaker 2: It's not about Fernando Mendoza or Josh Hoover. It's about
- 53:05Speaker 2: Kurt Signetty exactly. And now you got a new quarterback,
- 53:09Speaker 2: and that's gonna be your quarterback. Let's see how he does.
- 53:11Speaker 2: We are ROC's back, our DC's I mean, the whole
- 53:14Speaker 2: coaching staff stayed together, Yeah, for one more year.
- 53:17Speaker 1: If they have another really successful year, they're not going
- 53:20Speaker 1: to stay another year. There's no way they would. And
- 53:22Speaker 1: it's not an if it's win. Yeah. Oh, and that's
- 53:25Speaker 1: what you want to have happen. You want your coaches
- 53:29Speaker 1: to leave and go somewhere else because if they are,
- 53:32Speaker 1: that means you're succeeding. Look at Nick Saban, I mean
- 53:36Speaker 1: he went through how many coaches and how many on
- 53:38Speaker 1: his coaching tree are out there coaching today. They've done
- 53:41Speaker 1: very well. So BYU's number one, I use number two.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Northwestern is number three. They thought that was kind of interesting.
- 53:49Speaker 1: They've spent a lot of money on football well, and
- 53:52Speaker 1: that includes their brand new stadium that we talked about
- 53:54Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago. So and so they've spent
- 53:57Speaker 1: it on players as well, oh yeah, I was number four.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Boise State is number five, Old MISSUS number six. Kind
- 54:07Speaker 1: of surprised me, right there, TCU seven eight is Tulane University? Really,
- 54:13Speaker 1: John summerl no longer there? They have a brand new coach.
- 54:17Speaker 1: I was kind of surprised by that. Cincinnati is ninth,
- 54:21Speaker 1: and get this, Mississippi State is number ten. Okay, and
- 54:28Speaker 1: just I'm not going to go through the rest of
- 54:30Speaker 1: the list, but U of L checks in at number
- 54:32Speaker 1: twelve and UK checks in at number fifteen. Really as
- 54:36Speaker 1: most underrated top twenty five teams as by the AP
- 54:41Speaker 1: pole voters. I thought that was interesting. So Mississippi State,
- 54:47Speaker 1: That's exactly what I said. Number ten on this list
- 54:52Speaker 1: is Mississippi State. I find that crazy because I think
- 54:58Speaker 1: by far they're the worst team in the SEC, and
- 55:02Speaker 1: they will stay that way, trying to pull up their
- 55:06Speaker 1: schedule real quick and see who they play. Well, maybe
- 55:08Speaker 1: that's part of it. Maybe it is their schedule because
- 55:11Speaker 1: you know they got a new coach. It's and it's
- 55:14Speaker 1: it's I still feel bad for Mississippi State for losing
- 55:17Speaker 1: Mike Leach. It would be interesting to see where Mike
- 55:20Speaker 1: Leach would have that team today. If he was still alive,
- 55:23Speaker 1: I think he would have succeeded. I think he and
- 55:26Speaker 1: that would have been fun to have matchups between Lane
- 55:30Speaker 1: Kiffin at Old Miss and Mike Leach at Mississippi State.
- 55:34Speaker 1: And even though Lane Kiffen went to Alice, you, I
- 55:36Speaker 1: still think it had been fun between those two.
- 55:38Speaker 2: Mississippi State's gonna win four games if they're lucky. If
- 55:42Speaker 2: they're lucky, really, U of l Are, Louisiana, Monroe, Tennessee Tech.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Those are their walkovers. But their their third non conference
- 55:50Speaker 2: game at Minnesota. That's not easy. Then you're on the
- 55:54Speaker 2: road at South Carolina, then Missouri, Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, and
- 55:59Speaker 2: Texas five weeks in a row.
- 56:02Speaker 1: And then you go to Vanderbilt another loss. Then you
- 56:04Speaker 1: play Auburn another loss. Yeah, I don't see any winning.
- 56:10Speaker 1: I don't see any wins for them in the SEC
- 56:12Speaker 1: after see it hearing that, so, I just that's kind
- 56:14Speaker 1: of crazy right there, to see that. So I think
- 56:17Speaker 1: underrated is a bit. I would put Kentucky up there
- 56:20Speaker 1: instead of Mississippi State. I think Kentucky is a bit underrated.
- 56:24Speaker 2: I mean, Kentucky's schedule still hard as well, it is,
- 56:27Speaker 2: it's the unknown with Kentucky and and the new coach
- 56:31Speaker 2: and the excitement that surrounds that.
- 56:34Speaker 1: It's everything is unknown. It's just it's not like it's
- 56:37Speaker 1: just the coaching staffures all the players. I mean, everything
- 56:40Speaker 1: is brand new everything. But to me, with that newness
- 56:47Speaker 1: comes hope and excitement and uh listen. Uh A man
- 56:54Speaker 1: can dream, Candy. I mean, I'm gonna sit here and
- 56:56Speaker 1: dream and and uh uh. Anyway, I'm looking forward to
- 57:00Speaker 1: of the season. I got yesterday the email they sent
- 57:03Speaker 1: out for football credentials. I'm looking forward to that. So
- 57:07Speaker 1: I'll be signing up for that now. I'll be going
- 57:09Speaker 1: to several of the games this year. I don't know
- 57:10Speaker 1: if I'm going to go to everyone, but I'll be
- 57:12Speaker 1: going to a bunch. I'm definitely going to the first one,
- 57:14Speaker 1: so it's it's going to be a fun season.
- 57:17Speaker 2: You better be going to the first two. Why do
- 57:20Speaker 2: you say that second game's Alabama? Oh yeah, you better
- 57:24Speaker 2: be at that one.
- 57:24Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely. Josh Texan has said one night in Bancock
- 57:28Speaker 1: in the world's your oyster. No, no, thank you very much.
- 57:33Speaker 1: That's I let the hangout. Didn't they do the hangover
- 57:36Speaker 1: in Ncock? Huh? That one was so bad. It was okay, Yeah,
- 57:40Speaker 1: that's where Andy got married or whatever his name is
- 57:43Speaker 1: in the movie. He's Andy in the office. But to
- 57:45Speaker 1: the stripper, no, no, he didn't. He married an Asian lady,
- 57:49Speaker 1: beautiful Asian lady in Oh that's right. Yeah, yeah, where
- 57:52Speaker 1: they drive the boat to the wedding and crash on
- 57:55Speaker 1: the beach. Yeah, at a little over the top. Justin said,
- 58:00Speaker 1: hey Michael, I'm sorry John, Hey Michael and Justin. I
- 58:04Speaker 1: really enjoy using Google Search and other search engines that
- 58:08Speaker 1: use AI mode. When I searched, When I search, Coler
- 58:13Speaker 1: is considered a tough player. It's man, I'm having a
- 58:17Speaker 1: hard time with this one because this is John. You
- 58:20Speaker 1: gotta do a little bit. You're probably talking into your phone.
- 58:22Speaker 1: But when I searched, is Coler consider a tough player?
- 58:27Speaker 1: It is said this. How do you like that sentence?
- 58:29Speaker 1: Right there? I have no idea what he's saying.
- 58:31Speaker 2: To use AI to write this text exactly because AI
- 58:35Speaker 2: failed you in this text right here. Jackson Coller is
- 58:38Speaker 2: known as a tough, gritty and physical forward. While not
- 58:41Speaker 2: an elite high fire athletically, he relies on high motor,
- 58:46Speaker 2: excellent positioning and self described psycho mentality to relentlessly battle
- 58:52Speaker 2: for rebounds and score inside.
- 58:54Speaker 1: How do you like that psycho mentality? Would you like
- 58:59Speaker 1: to be described as your next podcast is host of
- 59:02Speaker 1: a psychle mentality host about a football program over in Indiana? Sure? Wow,
- 59:09Speaker 1: that's fine. I like hearing that for sure. Also, if
- 59:12Speaker 1: we get Mitchell or Coler, then hundredson. Sure we could
- 59:15Speaker 1: be a top five team to start the season. So
- 59:19Speaker 1: there you go.
- 59:19Speaker 2: Well, I can't trust AI in that situation because it
- 59:22Speaker 2: didn't mention anything about the shooting ability of Coaler. I mean,
- 59:25Speaker 2: he's he's definitely a guy that could shoot that mid
- 59:27Speaker 2: range shot. He'll he'll extend the floor, shoot from beyond
- 59:31Speaker 2: the perimeter as well. I want to say, he shot
- 59:33Speaker 2: like five threes a game last year, So I mean
- 59:38Speaker 2: that kid can shoot. So that's a When I'm doing
- 59:41Speaker 2: a scouting report on Jackson Coler, that's one of the
- 59:43Speaker 2: first things that I would mention and that wasn't even
- 59:45Speaker 2: mentioned there. So he can't trust Aya, One person said,
- 59:48Speaker 2: Dwight Yoakum. As far as guys that hide their hair loss,
- 59:54Speaker 2: that's yeah, well remember from didn't you see wedding Crashers?
- 59:59Speaker 1: Yeah, he kind of looks like Tom Petty, but it's
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Dwight Yoakam and he's bald. You go look at a
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: picture with Dwight Yoakam without a hat on. He I
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: think he is. Josh likes to say he has a
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: cul de sac.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: He kind of you know who. He kind of looks
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: like in the wedding Crashers. I don't know if this
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: is gonna be offensive or not, but I'm gonna say
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: it anyways. He looks like an older Max.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, as in my son.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Yeah, no picture Max in like thirty five years. I
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: think that's horrible to say. I think this is what
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: he's gonna look like.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. Now now you got me going to
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: go see this here? Just type in Dwight Yoakam wedding
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: because I was like, all right, and that first picture
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: is Max. I'm telling you, all right, hold on with
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: the longer hair. Really, No, yes, no, it's not. Yeah.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I can't believe you don't see the vision. No, I
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: don't see the vision there. No, you're just you're you're
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: hating on my son, Max, not hating on your son's back.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: It's like a spinning image of him in thirty years.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: One person said, Yoakum appears hatless in the movie Sling
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Blade with Billy Bob Thornton. He's saying at buck Owens funeral,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: he nailed that. I didn't realize that. So do you
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: remember who buck Owens was? Yeah? He was on what
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: was that country show back in the day, Chucks. I
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: can't remember it, but it was a country music show
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: that was on every Saturday night. And I don't even
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: think of as Beverly Hillbillies. But anyway, I don't know
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: the show. You don't, Yeah, it was terrible. I know
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: streets of Baker's feel. That's one of my favorite countries.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Oh it is because he uses an accordion. Oh my god,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: you kidding me? Okay. One person texted that. Patrick texted out,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: I think the Indianapolis Colts connection is what David Letterman
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: likes most with Peyton because let Himan went to ball State.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I wouldn't have Peyton on because he went to Tennise. Yeah.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: I think you're right. Uh, it was just because of
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Indianapolis Colts. And then he had him on a couple
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: of times after the Super Bowl and they kind of
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: became pals. Heehaw that's it. Yeah, thank you for it
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: and terrible show. But anyway, I associate the Red versus
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Blue combination with Kentucky versus IU and UK versus U
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: of L. I would like to see it more. I mean,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: that's what I would say, yeah, because but I use
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: Reds a little different than U of L's Red Crimson.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: It's a little more Crimson exactly, so, which is equally
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: as hideous. I'm on my way to Cincinnati for the
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Reds versus Cardinals games. Hopefully the Reds can win. Well, Patrick,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: good luck with that, safe travels, good for you. Is
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: that an afternoon game, by the way, like they play
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: again today? Well that's he said, He's on his way,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: so it's not nineteen in the morning. Oh my gosh. Yeah,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: they played. They've already played four games this week? Are they?
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Are you kidding me?
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: They played two on Monday, and then one Tuesday, one Wednesday,
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: and then one today, five game series. I know one
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: of them was a makeup, but really, okay, that's crazy. Well,
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: one person texted, I think Providence should have a live
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: mascot talking about your podcast. They may with I don't
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: recall seeing one with a bible in one hand and
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: a wad of cash in the other.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: I'll get off my private school hating. That was still
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: now by the way, go Rocks. Wait a minute. Now,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: you're talking about making fun of private schools and then
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: you say, go Rocks, that's a private school. Just because
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: it's parochial doesn't mean it. Come on, man, that's mister Illinois.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: I love your text. You make me laugh right there,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: But that is funny with the whole Bible and WATA cash. Right.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: Speaking of the Rocks, did you know their whole baseball
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: lineup went D one.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: I remember that briefly. That that is unbelievable right there.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I mean that's like, that's like a major league team
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: playing in Triple A and the success they would have.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: So that's basically you're looking at Division one players. Wow,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: good for them? And and where did most of them go?
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Do you have any idea? I don't know. One of
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: them did go to Kentucky? Really? Yeah? The picture? Oh
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: that's right?
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, Willoughby maybe, yeah, sound right?
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I think. So. I haven't seen any of the other players,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: and I don't have a search engine, but I like Wilkins.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: So there you go. Thank you for the eight Handley,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: and I appreciate you sending me that, and then also
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: the other text are sending me the name of Hehaw.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: So when I was a kid, having those flip down
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: sunglasses made me feel like a big, real big leaguer.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: We were talking about, you know, the whole baseball thing.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: The guy that took his sunglasses off his hat put
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: him on to catch the ball. Crazy to wear the
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: sunglasses on top of your hat when you need them. See,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: that's been a lot of criticism, and you're right texture
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: right there, That's been a lot of criticism of a
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: lot of players when it's a sunny game and then
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: they lose the ball in the sun and then they
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: missed the catch, and it's like, well, why didn't you
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: put your sunglasses on? I mean, I thought that was interesting.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: It does to me, I mean without a doubt. So
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: all right, we got to take another break when we
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: come back. Are we enjoying that? A lot more professional
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: sports is moving towards streaming. We're going to talk about that.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: And then the SEC the All SEC first, second, and
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: third team were announced as well. We'll talk briefly about
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: that too, So stay right there. More just the CATS's coming,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: right up is bound them match Shucks. I'd like to
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: burn this textbook. I hate this stuff so much.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: Shot ramagons over the new Moon, showing the face. I'm
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: way around the planting animals like please following my songline
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: past Camboo shacks, and shot behind a giddy packed like
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: Sarady with bananas about.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Long time singing.
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: You're coming across?
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Am I really okay? That? I was trying to stay
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: away from my This is probably It's one of my
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: all type favorite songs right here, this one. And uh man,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: what an experience that was. So uh Anyway, one day
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: I'll tell you about that. How about South Carolina starting
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: quarterback nor Sellers. Have you seen this story? I haven't.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: He is headed into his senior season for the game
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Cocks and is set to graduate in December. Okay, okay,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: and get this. He is enrolled in zero classes probably done,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: he has done, and all he has to do is
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: just his internship. And I'm like, well, wait a minute,
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: doesn't he have to be is an internship considered enrolled
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: in a school? I mean, I thought you had to
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: be taking at least one class. I don't understand this. No,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: I mean, I'm really having a hard time.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: In terns in the summer aren't enrolled in class like
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: Internee and wasn't enrolled.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but doesn't he have to be a student at
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: a university to be able to play sports.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: I mean, if you don't graduate until December, technically you
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: are a student, right.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: I don't know. I just I thought this was interesting.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: But are you ready for where his uh So, he's
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: getting a degree in sports and entertainment. Okay, I have
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: no idea what that means, but I would listen. I'd
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: like to get a degree in sports and entertainment. But
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: are you ready for where his internship is. It's at
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: a a golf place where you go hit golf balls
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: a golf range. It's called the par t. You don't
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: come on the p a R then it's te Oh
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: I get I love it. I thought this was awesome.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: I hate that name. Really, it just seems so lace. Oh. Come,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I thought that's a place I gotta go to when
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: I go to Columbus South Carolina the next time to
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: see UK play South Carolina. I am going to attend
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: the party. I can't believe you don't like this.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: Honestly, I like the name. I'm just gonna throw out
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: a one that I've just made up, and I like
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: it better. Okay, I'm ready. I would have much rather
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: name be named Birdie Machine. Oh geez, that's how bad
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: I think.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Party. You're telling me right now you would want you
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: would not want to go there, hit some golf balls,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: have a few beers, and have a party. No, No,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know why you don't like it.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: I don't know why I'm laughing about this so much
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: at night. Do they shut down the range and they
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: have a party. I don't know, I spell it right. No,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: maybe they do. But you're starting quarterback from South Carolina's
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: working at the party right now. What can he possibly
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: be doing? I don't know, shagging shagging golf balls? Yes,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: that's like that's on my bucket list, Is it really? Oh? Yeah?
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: I want to be in one of those cards scooping
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: up balls and somebody just absolutely railed apart. That's all
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: I ever want. When I see these things go out there,
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: I intentionally doffit to hit it. It's like, okay, it
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: is fun. Target practice is okay, is but but is
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: it nerve racking when you're in there? It's what I
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: want to I think it'd be great. You do think
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: it would be fun. I mean just the element of surprise, Like,
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: imagine how high off your seat you probably jump when
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: you get hit by one of those balls. It probably
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: scares the daylights out.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: I'm sure it does. I bet it's exhilarating. I bet
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: you get immune to it, though, don't you think probably?
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: And then he's like, Okay, I got hit by another Okay, okay, guys,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: I got hit Haha. Move on. I'm just trying to
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: do my freaking job and get my three dollars and
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: seventy five cents an hour here. Okay.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: You ever seen the video from a top golf and
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: it's this probably ten twelve year old kid on the tee. Yeah,
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: they're on the first floor and the cart's going by
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: right and he like acts like he's gonna hit in
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: the guy and the car tells him no, and then
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: he like, as he's getting out of range, he hits
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: at him and hits the cart.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: I have still yet gone to top Golf. It's fun,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: is it? Really? The Only thing that keeps me away
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: is because I feel like it's gonna be really crowd
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: and I just have no interest. Actually, it's slowed down
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: a lot. Oh it has really.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: I mean you can go, like if we get off
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: the air here at ten and you were to go
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: over there, yeah, there's gonna be nobody there.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Really. Yeah. I just couldn't swing a club right now.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: I mean that's a bit of a problem. Hit up
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: the doctor. Yeah yeah, but anyway, I just I'm telling
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: you that's the place I would go to. I would
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: go to the party, and uh, you can't say it
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: like that. It's got to be the party. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: it's gotta be. I love that. And then the fact
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: that you emphasize the tea the party. It's just it's awesome. Man,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: it's got they gotta be having music playing all kinds
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: of two golf terms. Can I put together to make
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: a good drug party? That is awesome? Okay? All right, then,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: well too bad. I think it's fantastic. Well he's gonna
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: be Yeah, you're right. I mean, but I just that
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: blew my mind finding out that he was not taking
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: a single class. And I guess since he's doing this
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: so called uh internship, that he's I guess roll enrolled
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: in school. But it's credit to him for graduating early.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: I mean, isn't it a lot easier for athletes to
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: graduate from college because they're there all year long and
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: taking classes are not only that.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: But the resources that are available with tutoring and help
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: from teachers and stuff.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, well congratulations to him for doing that. But
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: you're going to go down to UK this year. I'm
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: so sorry. One person texted in the Fighting jim Stones
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: of Providence like that, Yeah, okay, yeah, Righteous jym Stones.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: You know my favorite high school in Indiana? It should
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: be the Fighting Righteous jym Stones. What's your favorite high
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: school in Indiana?
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: So there's a a school called jim Town, but it
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: gets better. Their mascot is the Jimmies, the jim Town Ji.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: Way is that? Awes? How did they get away with that? Wow?
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: The Fighting Jimmies? Because that takes me back to one
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: movie in what Will Ferrell said in that movie which
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: we shouldn't say on the show, and we're not going
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: to uh but uh, all right, what do you think
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: about Tom Brady? He's in the news right now, like
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: pretty pretty much every day, it seems like, but he
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: is criticizing NFL's players for skipping preseason games. He was
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: quoted saying, your job is to play football. Is he right?
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Should NFL players be playing in exhibition games?
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: Look, if Tom Brady's saying something, I think we all
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: just got to buy into it. This man went out
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: and set the record for most Super Bowls ever by
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: a quarterback. He's widely regarded as the best quarterback of
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: all time. So if Tom Brady thinks you should be
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: playing in your preseason games, then I'm with Tom Brady here.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: You should be playing your preseason games. Get the get
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: the injury bug thoughts out of your head. It's gonna happen,
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: whether it's the regular season or preseason, if it's gonna happen.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: So yeah, I'm kind of with him. They should be playing. Well, see,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: let me play Devil's advocate, though, aren't Aren't the exhibition
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: games for those players that are kind of on the
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: verge of making or not making the team? Yeah, but
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: that's why you play those players instead of the starters.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: But I know they're gonna play. I don't.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: I don't think Tom Brady's coming out and saying that
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: you need to play the entirety of the game, because
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: you're right, those younger players, that's their time to shine
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: and potentially make the roster full time. So but if
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: the starter should at least come out and do two
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: play the first quarter. Here's the problem I have with
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: exhibition games because they're a waste of time for fans.
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: I mean, they might enjoy the closer he gets the
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: season better it is, but the first couple of games,
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: to me, they're just a waste of time. And I've
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: never liked it that the NFL teams forced the season
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: ticket holders to buy those games, because you know they
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: don't want to go. I'm going all season long. All
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: I want to do or see the real games. So
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: to me, I know it would probably be a loss
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: to the team, But why not just open up all
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: the seats to the normal fans and only charge like
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: five ten dollars for them to come see their favorite
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: team and make it more of an economical situation.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: It'd be what do you call it? A win loss situation?
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: You think people would go for that, though, because why
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: wouldn't they?
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: If you're telling me, like, let's just pretend I live
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: twenty minutes away from Pittsburgh Stadium. Yes, even if I
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: can get a ticket for five to ten dollars, I
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: don't really have that much much interest to go to
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: a preseason game.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: If it's five bucks, I probably would. I got nothing
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: else to do on a Saturday night, not any other
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: sports are going on. They make concessions even cheaper, half
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: off on everything. Five dollars for a ticket. I can
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: sit anywhere I want, and I get concessions for half off.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: I would be there, probably not for every exhibition game,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: but I would be there for at least one of them.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: And I think it'd be fun just let just have
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: open seating and let the normal fans that normally don't
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: get to bring their entire family be able to come
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: to an affordable night. I mean, I don't know. I'm
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: not taking it out loud. It's not a bad idea, yeah, okay,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: but it's just not something I would buy that, Okay,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: all right, then I guess you wouldn't buy it. So
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: I guess it's never gonna happen, and I'll never get
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: my dream to come true. Uh one John said, if
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: we added Mitchell or Kohler, we will definitely beat EYEU
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: and U of L.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: You're gonna beat Indiana already. As a see that's kind
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: of how I feel as well, you know, like that's
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: that's the thing. That's what I was saying earlier, John,
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: is you all were good without either one of those guys.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: I still think you are in a position to beat
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: Indiana for sure, and you would have had a really
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: good shot against Louisville. But I agree if you add
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: one of those guys, you'll definitely beat both of those.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: He said, So go ahead and get sand in your
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: eyes and salt in your wounds. I you and U
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: of l fans.
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: I've had salt in my wounds with basketball for years, John, Yeah,
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: you have. I don't know if my wounds can take
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: anymore soult. The Jimmies are our nemesis to the Jones
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: to the Joe's. Yeah, Jimmy's and the Joe's.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Okay, oh yeah, yeah, Okay, I get it. Yeah. Another
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: one where he's clearly talking into it because it says
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: something else. But anyway, I appreciate the text. Five two
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: four one four fourteen fifty one. Texan UK women's basketball
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: head coach Kenny Brooks believes this coming year's team is
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: his best three point shooting team. Okay, that's exactly where
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: I was going with that. Yes, and I'm so glad
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: you said that. Because you know you're bro there can
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: Kenny Brooks is sounding a little more like Mark Pope,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: which I like that kind of talk, but he backs
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: it up. Yes, Clara Strack, Asia Boon and possibly the
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: new young lady. I can't say her Asia Sifka. I
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: don't know how to say her. Ajs with a upside
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: down triangle on the top of the SA. So whatever
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: that says, but Sifka, I believe it is how you
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: say it.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: Last year UK women's team shattered the record books for
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: UK for three point shots mate at two hundred and
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: ninety nine. The old record Are you ready for this?
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: The old record was set back in twenty nineteen twenty
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: for two hundred and fifty two. They shot almost fifty more. Wow,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: forty seven more made threes. So I'm like, listen, I'm
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: with Kenny Brooks. He's he's proven it, just like you said,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: he's got it to back it up.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: Well, you didn't even mention Emily McDonald, the freshman who's
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: coming out three point shootout at the McDonald's All American. Yeah,
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: Madden Greenway is gonna be awesome savvy sowards this. He's
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: right in saying that this. I mean, this should be
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: his best team that he's ever had. When you're bringing
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: gonna be fine three McDonald's All Americans and bringing a
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: player like Clara strack Back and the others that you
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: named as well, they're they're gonna be a lot of fun.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Asia Boone's Prcifica. Yeah, I'm not going to butcher
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: her name. I'm just not going to so, but I listen,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: that's a team. I definitely have a lot of confidence
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: if that, if that's the trainer for the women's basketball
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: team was here, I would say, dude, y'all are going
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: down again this year. So uh and I don't want
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: to do that to him, but uh anyway, all right,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: we got to take our last break when we come back.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: The All SEC team was announced. There are some players
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: from UK on it as well as we got to
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: talk about this whole thing with streaming of Major league sports.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: I'm getting concerned about this because it's going more and
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: more that way. Is that the right way to go?
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: Stay right there? Just the Cats. I'm getting out of this.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I believe in songs.
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: I don't smoke, I don't shoot smack, but I got
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: a spicy monkey riding on my back. Don't eat minnies
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: too much sugar around do, But I will come.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: You like my boat. It started at the real way though,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: to see she won't. Okay, good, all right? Ye are
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: you a crawfish eater, by the way, you really and
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: you like taking it and sucking the head and all
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: that kind of stuff. Yeah, me too, I'm all about it. Uh.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: So yesterday, Uh, all SEC first and second team were announced.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: Uh in third team? Uh and uh, something tells me
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: that's important. You wuld throw that in? Well, yeah it is.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: It is because two players were named from u K.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: One is on the second team. Lance heard offensive tackle
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: who transferred here after two seasons and you know, tennis stink.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: And then you got the other one listed, who's on
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: the third team. Uh uh which is uh oh shucks,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: I can't. I didn't put his name down, but uh anyway,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: but there's two others that were left completely off, which
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: I founded really interesting. Uh Willie Rodriguez the tight end. No,
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: he is the one, he's the third he's on the
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: third team. I'm sorry, that is him. And then uh,
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: Colton Price and Tye Bryant were left off. Oh ty Bryant,
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: that's a that's a glaring omission. See and why not
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: Colton Price. I mean, he was one of the he
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: was the top center in the country to get be
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: in the transfer portal, So I was kind of surprised.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: Who were named by other outlets uh as top players
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: within the SEC. So I was kind of surprised by that.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: But uh which which no surprise to anyone. But Georgia
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: and Texas have the most named eleven each. Holy oh yeah,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Oklahoma had the third most with ten and then l
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: s U eight, Old Miss six, Alabama six. I mean
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: Alabama has fallen way down. I mean, how how much
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: longer you think the board is going to be at Alabama?
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: I don't know, because I mean you had their ad
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: come out and basically talk loyalty and how you have
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: a revolving door of coaches. So I think his leash
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: is a little bit longer than than a lot of
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: coaches out there. But it all, it all depends on
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: this season. If you if you lose that game to
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: Kentucky in Week two, if you're Alabama, that that conversation
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: ramps up.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: Well. And you know Greg Byrne, the athletic director at Alabama,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: he's Mitch he he used to work under Mitch and
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: and yeah, exactly so. And so when I and I
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: saw this, it's like, good night, man. They have fallen
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: way down to where they used to be back in
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: the day. But my goodness. And so I'm trying to think, well,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: I was surprised by Tennessee with only five, Missouri with four,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: Texas A and M is probably the biggest surprise. They
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: only had four players named. And then you got Florida three,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Kentucky three, Auburn three. So anyway, but get about our
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: underrated Mississippi State. I mean they get oh they got two. Okay, Yeah,
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: here's the thing about Arkansas got one. Vanderbilt got zero. Really,
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: I thought that was a real slap in the face
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: to Vanderbilt. And I gotta believe you still have that
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: really good tight end. No, no, no, he's gone. Ok
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: yeah last year, No, he left. He didn't play it
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: on vand team last year. I don't think. I think
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: he left the year before, didn't he.
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: I thought I thought he was playing the Elos Towers. No,
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: he was Stowers, that's him. He was drafted this year.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Oh he was. Who's he playing for now? The Eagles?
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: That's a good team he's with. Yeah, he's going to
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: be a force in the NFL. He was by far.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: You know, Stowers didn't get all the credit. It was
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: always Diego Stowers to me, was the best player on
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: the field, and it didn't matter who they were playing.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: I thought he was the best player on the field.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: If he had one or two more seasons left, he
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: could have left Vanerbilt and made all kinds of money
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: from anyone out there. I mean, Texas would have paid
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: a lot of money. Georgia would have paid a lot
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: of money to him. I mean it's gonna be it's
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: gonna be interesting to see what happens there. So uh
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: with Diego Gond I'll keep Byana because I'm fascinated by it.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: But uh, and good for Vanderbilt for having that success.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: But what do you think about, uh, televised sports moving
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: more and more towards streaming, because now you got Peacock
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: is getting the NBA. They're already raising prices. You know that,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: don't you One dollar a month?
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: Okay, but it's still raising the price one so you
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: don't are you're good with that? Evidently they went from
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: seven ninety nine to eight ninety nine.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm good with that. Well, to me, I look
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: at it and think every little bit counts. But I
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: guarantee you they'll go up another dollar next year, and
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: maybe another dollar the next year, and then before you
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: know it, you're paying a lot more for it. Right,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: you don't have a okay, well, congratulations not having a
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: problem with it as of right now. I do not
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: have an issue with Peacock. Okay, all right, Then Peacock's
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: doing it with the NBA. YouTube is reportedly the front
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: rudder for the NBA's aggregated streaming hub to launch this
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: in twenty twenty seven, twenty twenty eight. What do you
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: think about that? I'm good.
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: I don't mind all these sports going to streaming because wow,
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: they're so easily accessible.
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: They are easily accessible. But I just m it's just
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: going to cost more money, and by the end of it,
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: you're gonna think, wow, cable was so much cheaper. Because
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: by the I don't want to add up right now
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: how much I'm paying for all the different streaming services,
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: because I think it'll just simply upset me. That's the
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: last thing I want to do is upset me right now.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: But I just I the other part is are they
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: going to be able to handle it now? You know,
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: with Major League Baseball, I think a lot of people
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: completely forgot that Netflix had the home run derby. You
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: and I remembered it and we watched it, and then come,
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: I hate tell you, I completely forgot Field the Dreams
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: were going to be on it. That was good. He
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: missed out. See I did miss out. So to me,
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: I think you lose that a little bit because you
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: don't see them advertising on mainstream television that, oh, come
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: watch Netflix for our sports. NBC will do it because
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: they own Peacock or vice versa. So you'll get it
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: from that standpoint. But I guess I'm on YouTube probably
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: more than anything else I had. Number One, I have
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: a YouTube TV, and I do. I enjoy YouTube in
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: general when I go when I go to my home
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: this afternoon, I'll turn on YouTube first before I turn
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: on anything else. And I never dreamed that would happen.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: I thought I would always turn on the TV and
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: it would have one of the major networks on. But
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: you're right, people are getting to a point where streaming
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: is becoming more and more accepted, especially for sports. But
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: you know, what was the fight that they had the
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: Tyson fight they had on Netflix Paul, Yes, Jake Paul
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: and Mike Tyson and the and it kept buffering constantly.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: That was my biggest concern. But it hasn't been like that.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: It has not. No, and thank goodness it had because
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: if it had, if it had happened again, I don't
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: know what would have happened, with people losing their minds
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: and all that stuff.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: By the way, I saw a report this morning Jake
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: Paul's gonna go to MMA next year. That wow, because
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: they'll get his brains beat in, Like, oh, really, are
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: you not a Jake Paul fan?
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: No? Yeah, have you thought that his fights were probably
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: kind of set up? It was just a money grab
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: because that's kind of how I felt. I don't think
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: all of them were, but a majority of the Tyson
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: one was, for sure. I mean, you can't convince me
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: of anything else. But yeah, it's it's it's it's ridiculous.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know. Some of those MMA is
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: pretty real, isn't it. Oh yeah, I haven't watched many.
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: I'll watch a few seconds of it, that's it. I
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: love the ones when I come across the street fights
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: where the guys are trying to act like they're in MMA.
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: I can't. Oh you can. Oh, it's hilarious. I love
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: It's almost like watching b rated wrestling.
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: See, I love the UFC, But some thing about those
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: guys fighting for a paycheck versus some Jebbroni's fighting out
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: on the street for nothing, I just don't That doesn't
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: interest me.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: Oh I love it. Yeah, it was for comical aspect
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: of it. It's fun, oh for sure. Because they can't fight. No,
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: of course, they can't fight, just like me. I can't fight.
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: One text or texted in. If either of the two
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: players get added to UK's roster, that makes UK a
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: final four team along with twelve other teams, makes them
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: very dangerous. So we're thinking they're not dangerous right now
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: without those guys. See that's a great point. I think
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: they're a good team.
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: That's basically the Texter coming out saying that, no way
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: we get to a Final four with the roster as
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: it is right which that was not the case a
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: handful of weeks ago.
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: No, we were very concerned about it and didn't know
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: what was going to happen.
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: But then once you signed Myelin, everybody was like, all right, Yeah,
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: we're good. We can compete for.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: Whatever, isn't it mil Milan, Yeah, Mamkilovich. How's mom? Chilovitch
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: easier to say than his first I have no idea,
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: but you know you well, you know me, so I listen.
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: I'm with you right there, and I hear your argument,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: and I think you're right. But I think the more
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: you add, the more comfortable you're getting. Wold, this is
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: turning out to be a hodgepodge of a team that
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: might be pretty dangerous. And I agree this is going
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: to be an interesting team to watch because I think
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: this is going to be I really believe this. This
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: is going to be Mark Pope's defining year. Can he
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: put this team together? And if he can, he's going
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: to be at UK for a long time. If he cannot,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: I worry about it. So uh, but we'll see. I'm
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: putting a lot of faith in him and I and
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: I look forward to it. So I think Jackson Cohler
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: is the way. I just I just got to see
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: him beat b Yu. Okay, That's that's kind of probably
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: where I am. More so than going with Mitchell. I'm
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: not worried about Missouri. I want to beat BYU at
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: something because we've lost an associate athletic director, Mark Hill,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: We've lost a former basketball player, and we keep losing
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: recruits to them. Man, how times have fallen they have fallen.
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: Who would have ever thought that? By you? I mean
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: maybe Duke U of l Kansas, North Carolina. It's by
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: you that just shows you how the NIL can change.
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: But by your definition, it's not a rivalry because there's
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: not been winning on both sides.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: Boom roasted. Yeah, you're exactly correct. I just got roasted,
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: and I can't disagree with you. Y'all did get Mark Pope,
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: so I guess you won that one. Yeah, we won
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: that one, and we got Colin Chandler for a couple
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: of years. But now he's back there. I would love
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: to know what's the difference in money? Was just can't
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: get a wife that Mormon lifestyle? Probably not, And I'm
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: not gonna say it here and make fun of that,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: but I'm not either. Yeah, but if that's what he
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: wants to do, go back there. I have no issue
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: with it. By the way, I don't know if you've
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: seen this or not, but Hallmark is having the merriest
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: of Christmas towns contest. Did you see this? No, And
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: there is one town in the state of Kentucky that
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: is a part of this and you can go vote
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: and it's the one and only Versales Kentucky. Oh would
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: you Lagrange it would be I think Shelbyville would be
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: another good one, or Bardstown. But it's twenty five extraordinary
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: towns have been selected as finals for bringing the spirit
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: of Christmas to life through cherished traditions, joyful celebrations and
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: a deep sense of community. That's reeks of for sales Kentucky.
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: Let's go for sale. So yeah, you can go on
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: Hallmark site and go check it out and vote for
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: Versailles or as my uncle would say, versas Sorry, it's
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: for sales Kentucky. So anyway, good luck and congratulation to
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: her sales. What a beautiful place that is. All right,
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: Tomorrow's Thursday. Tonight, I'm headed out to the State Fire.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: I can't wait. Go and see j D in concert.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: If you're going to the concert, come say hello to me.
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: Tell him I said, I will. I wish you'd come
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: with me. Stop all this stubbornness. You're invited. I got
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: things to do, okay, all right, you got to do
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: your podcast. I'm looking forward to your podcast. Let me
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: knowing that now, I'll retweet it. Okay, all right, everybody,
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: have a great day. Appreciate you. Listen. We'll see you tomorrow.
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: Jessicas dear. But for come, Yes, we'll pay for come.
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: I'm not talking case ads or a desert Chrispy Cremes
