After 81 years, Sergeant Robert James Goldsworthy, who went missing in action near Reinheim, Germany, in December 1944, has finally been identified — thanks to a DNA match made in 2025. His hometown of Lake Linden honored him with a ceremonial funeral on August 16, where he was laid to rest beside his mother and sister. His nephew Mike Mukavetz praised the Army and his brother Dale, who provided the crucial DNA sample despite initial skepticism, for making this long-awaited closure possible.
