- 1:59Speaker 1: when it was some ins act in hard, sure your
- 2:01Speaker 1: little victories with us at seven oh one two and
- 2:04Speaker 1: ohoe eight seven kids.
- 2:06Speaker 5: I also needed to win that day, all right.
- 2:10Speaker 3: First off, we start with Melissa, who did text us
- 2:13Speaker 3: and said her family went and saw some of the
- 2:15Speaker 3: lights in Morehead yesterday and it was a great way
- 2:18Speaker 3: to get into the Christmas spirit. It's kind of funny
- 2:20Speaker 3: we were just talking about that six seven is minutes ago.
- 2:23Speaker 3: There are ways you can trick yourself into getting into
- 2:26Speaker 3: the holiday spirit, and it looks like it worked for her.
- 2:28Speaker 3: At her squad soon.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Yeah, go see the lights and morehead just like Melissa.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Yeah, or the ones in I believe wes Fargo are
- 2:35Speaker 3: up too, which Corey and I went to last year.
- 2:38Speaker 6: Oh fun.
- 2:39Speaker 4: I'm really excited to go do all the lights things.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Now that I've got the house decorated, now it's time
- 2:44Speaker 4: to go see lights.
- 2:45Speaker 5: Not in my own home.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Yeah, now it's time to see other decorated.
- 2:48Speaker 5: Yeah, better than mine, surely, It's fine.
- 2:50Speaker 3: ANGI do you have a little victory this morning?
- 2:52Speaker 4: I have a little victory that you pointed this out
- 2:56Speaker 4: to me yesterday, and you're not wrong.
- 3:00Speaker 6: I am very.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Grateful that I don't drive in this weather. I don't
- 3:07Speaker 4: think I'm not the particularly best driver to five times
- 3:11Speaker 4: to get my driver's license.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I think I know what yes is.
- 3:14Speaker 6: So Mikey is very sweet.
- 3:17Speaker 4: He wakes up with me every morning and he drives
- 3:19Speaker 4: me to work in his Tacoma, his Toyota Tacoma, and
- 3:25Speaker 4: I love it. I love being passenger princess. And yesterday, Gabe,
- 3:29Speaker 4: you picked me up because we went to go do
- 3:31Speaker 4: something and you looked at me and you said, you
- 3:33Speaker 4: know what, you look at this life you're living. You're
- 3:38Speaker 4: always a passenger.
- 3:39Speaker 5: In a Toyota Tacoma.
- 3:43Speaker 6: And that is true.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I get to be passenger Princess in a Tacoma, so
- 3:48Speaker 4: I'm truck community adjacent.
- 3:51Speaker 5: And I love it.
- 3:53Speaker 6: That is a little victory for me.
- 3:54Speaker 3: You're the Tacoma you know.
- 3:56Speaker 6: Oh I like that.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Yes, that was pretty funny. When I realized that, I
- 4:01Speaker 3: was like, you have just been riding shotgunned in like
- 4:04Speaker 3: a nice, reliable truck all day.
- 4:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 5: I feel really good about it. So thank you Gabe,
- 4:09Speaker 5: thank you Mikey. Passenger Princess forever.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what, My little victory is here this morning, yesterday.
- 4:17Speaker 3: And I don't want to give too much away because
- 4:19Speaker 3: there will be little sprinkles of this I would guess
- 4:22Speaker 3: throughout the week and then potentially hopefully a grand finale
- 4:26Speaker 3: next week. But I got to watch my dear friend
- 4:30Speaker 3: Angie my love to death. I got to watch her
- 4:33Speaker 3: do something that was kind of scary, kind of hard,
- 4:36Speaker 3: kind of difficult, something she's never really done before, and
- 4:39Speaker 3: absolutely crush it. It was so fun and basically what
- 4:45Speaker 3: I think we could say this part. We'll save some
- 4:48Speaker 3: of it. But Angie got some professional help mentally no
- 4:53Speaker 3: to become a rockhead. If you're unaware, Angie. I don't know.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Like three four weeks ago, I was watching the Today
- 5:01Speaker 3: Show here and the students in the Roquette Dance Team
- 5:04Speaker 3: or yeah, the Rockets.
- 5:05Speaker 4: They were performing on the plaza. I looked up and
- 5:08Speaker 4: I said.
- 5:09Speaker 5: I bet you I could do that.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Yeah, And so we issued a challenge for Angie here
- 5:13Speaker 3: on Big ninety eight point seven, and there was some
- 5:15Speaker 3: very very sweet, very patient people who reached out to
- 5:20Speaker 3: get Angie a little bit of a kickstart. I might say, yes,
- 5:24Speaker 3: And she got some training yesterday, which we'll have more
- 5:27Speaker 3: on that later throughout the day.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Yeah, there'll be a hole we will show you everything
- 5:32Speaker 4: that went down in this training session.
- 5:34Speaker 5: But thank you, game, very very cool.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I was like the mom and mean girls who's holding
- 5:38Speaker 3: the camera like doing the moves in the background. So
- 5:42Speaker 3: it was very very fun and I look forward to
- 5:44Speaker 3: sharing more of that today. But that was my little
- 5:46Speaker 3: victory yesterday, getting to watch Angie do that.
- 5:48Speaker 6: Ah, thank you, Gabe.
- 5:49Speaker 4: I appreciate it. It was rough, and I will say this,
- 5:52Speaker 4: I had a great.
- 5:52Speaker 5: Time, but oh my gosh, I am sore.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Do you feel every bit of mid thirties now?
- 5:58Speaker 4: Uh? Yeah, I've got muscles I didn't even know existed.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Andrew, you got to do something pretty exciting, and I
- 6:10Speaker 3: was glad to be there just as a cheerleader for you. You
- 6:14Speaker 3: did something really cool with Base Dance Studios right here
- 6:17Speaker 3: in Fargo.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Yes, thank you for being the best hype king ever.
- 6:21Speaker 4: So this all started a gosh almost a month ago.
- 6:24Speaker 4: I saw the Roquettes dancing on the Today Show on
- 6:28Speaker 4: the Plaza and I thought I could do that. With
- 6:31Speaker 4: just a little training, I could easily do a Roquettes routine.
- 6:36Speaker 6: And so Amanda Kretchman of.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Base Dance Studios reached out and said, Hey, if you
- 6:40Speaker 4: would like some help with a routine, come on down
- 6:44Speaker 4: to Base Dance Studios and we will help you out. Boy,
- 6:47Speaker 4: did I not realize how much help I was going
- 6:50Speaker 4: to meet. But we went yesterday to Base Dance Studios
- 6:55Speaker 4: and it was the teen group of dancers that helped
- 7:00Speaker 4: that helped teach me this routine. We will post video
- 7:04Speaker 4: of it and then you know, on Tuesday, I've got
- 7:08Speaker 4: the official rocket style dance I have to perform in
- 7:13Speaker 4: the studio. Yes, moves, Yeah, there's turns. Let me tell
- 7:19Speaker 4: you I'm someone who has given birth twice without an
- 7:26Speaker 4: epidural Okay, that was way less physically grueling then what
- 7:33Speaker 4: happened yesterday at Base Dance Studios. The ladies, all of
- 7:39Speaker 4: them so patient, so kind, so I mean, granted me
- 7:43Speaker 4: so much grace as I struggled my way.
- 7:48Speaker 5: Through learning this dance.
- 7:49Speaker 4: The thing about me is that when I see choreography,
- 7:52Speaker 4: my brain can't compute it and then translate it into
- 7:56Speaker 4: my own body to perform the the move.
- 8:00Speaker 5: I mean, damn near impossible.
- 8:03Speaker 6: And they, to be fair, they made these routine so.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Simple for me, but I really struggled my way through.
- 8:11Speaker 4: But they were so encouraging and by the end of it,
- 8:14Speaker 4: I will say, I mean, Gabe, you're my witness. Yeah,
- 8:18Speaker 4: I think I did a decent job.
- 8:20Speaker 3: You did it looked like you, at the very least
- 8:22Speaker 3: knew what to do, you know what I mean, knew
- 8:24Speaker 3: the movie.
- 8:24Speaker 5: That's all we could ask for.
- 8:26Speaker 3: I knew the moves you knew for the most part,
- 8:28Speaker 3: like when to do that, which I thought was excellent.
- 8:31Speaker 3: There was only one time where I was nervous for
- 8:34Speaker 3: you throughout the whole thing, and let me tell you
- 8:36Speaker 3: it was right at the beginning in the warm ups.
- 8:38Speaker 3: These girls that part these Now. I'm sure they've done
- 8:41Speaker 3: this hundreds of times, but they were just so smooth
- 8:45Speaker 3: and so fast transitioning to these warm ups and stretches
- 8:48Speaker 3: and blah blah blah. I was like, oh my gout Injie,
- 8:52Speaker 3: is this like the advanced course? We might have to
- 8:54Speaker 3: go to? One zero one?
- 8:55Speaker 4: I was not smoothly transitioning in anyway. The only thing
- 8:59Speaker 4: that I felt a little proud about is that I
- 9:01Speaker 4: could do the splits. That part I was like, yeah,
- 9:05Speaker 4: I can, I can do this, And then everything else
- 9:07Speaker 4: I was like, I cannot do it.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 9:12Speaker 3: As Angie did something that was very physically challenging yesterday.
- 9:16Speaker 3: We want to know what is the most physically challenging
- 9:19Speaker 3: thing you have ever done? Let us know here this morning,
- 9:23Speaker 3: as Angie has given birth twice yep, the real human babies. Hmm,
- 9:28Speaker 3: And yesterday was a bit of a gruel at least
- 9:31Speaker 3: at the start. You see.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Yeah, it was harder than giving birth. My body knew
- 9:35Speaker 4: how to give birth. My body did not know how to.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Do those dances.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Max, what's the most physically challenging thing you've ever done?
- 9:42Speaker 7: Man?
- 9:43Speaker 3: I played two games of ike hockey back to back
- 9:45Speaker 3: when I was about thirty years old.
- 9:47Speaker 4: I did okay, but I was exhausted after that.
- 9:49Speaker 3: I sliped for like a day and a half.
- 9:51Speaker 5: After that one.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Yeah, as someone who grew up, you know, skating and
- 9:54Speaker 3: playing hockey, when you're seventeen, nineteen, even like twenty two
- 9:59Speaker 3: years old, you'll go out you play hockey with your
- 10:02Speaker 3: buddies or real games or even like you know, beer
- 10:05Speaker 3: League hockey. You could do it all day, every day,
- 10:09Speaker 3: and then there is something magical about turning thirty years
- 10:12Speaker 3: old to where everything slows down. You don't recover as quick,
- 10:17Speaker 3: You're not like as fast per se. Yeah, and it
- 10:20Speaker 3: just hits you like a ton of bricks.
- 10:22Speaker 5: You're not trying ice hockey anytime soon.
- 10:24Speaker 3: I would love to go play like a beer League
- 10:27Speaker 3: kind of hockey thing at I'll be thirty five in
- 10:30Speaker 3: two days. I would love to go do it. I
- 10:31Speaker 3: think it'd be fun. I just don't know where. I
- 10:33Speaker 3: do want to share with you my answer, but I
- 10:35Speaker 3: also don't because it is gonna sound so pretentious, But
- 10:40Speaker 3: I think I might have to share it with you.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Coming up here. At kix S fifty, I did one
- 10:44Speaker 3: of the most physically challenging things ever for just fun
- 10:48Speaker 3: with my dog. Not the other day, but like a
- 10:50Speaker 3: few years back or whatever. It was so hard, and
- 10:54Speaker 3: I only did it because I woke up and I
- 10:56Speaker 3: was like, I want to see if I can do
- 10:57Speaker 3: this today.
- 10:58Speaker 5: Oh gosh, on Gabe gets an idea in his head. Ratchau.
- 11:04Speaker 3: We had talked a little bit ago about Angie and
- 11:07Speaker 3: this dance Rockhet challenge.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Yes, the most physically difficult thing I've ever done is
- 11:14Speaker 4: learn this routine to try and become Rockets material. Thanks
- 11:19Speaker 4: to Base Dance Studios, they were so amazing, the best
- 11:22Speaker 4: teachers ever. Just I'm at the big age of thirty
- 11:25Speaker 4: eight and have not stretched like that in years. So yes,
- 11:29Speaker 4: that was the most physically demanding thing I've done in ever.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Lacy, what's the most physically challenging thing you've ever done?
- 11:36Speaker 5: I did a half marathon with basically no training because
- 11:39Speaker 5: I let my friend hype me up.
- 11:41Speaker 7: Mile seven felt like my organs were filing HR complaints.
- 11:45Speaker 5: I finished, but I couldn't walk normal for like four days.
- 11:49Speaker 6: Oh great, that's so great.
- 11:51Speaker 4: But you know what something about having a friend hype
- 11:54Speaker 4: you up, Gabe, you were hyping me up the whole time,
- 11:56Speaker 4: and it made me believe I could do things I
- 11:58Speaker 4: don't think I can actually do.
- 12:00Speaker 5: Well.
- 12:00Speaker 3: I'm really glad Lacey called us here this morning because
- 12:05Speaker 3: interestingly enough, the most physically challenging thing I ever did
- 12:09Speaker 3: was just on a whim one Saturday morning, run a
- 12:12Speaker 3: half marathon. What Yeah, My dog and I we used
- 12:18Speaker 3: to our family dog, her name was Lola. We used
- 12:20Speaker 3: to get up.
- 12:21Speaker 5: It was a show girl.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I'm sorry, that's right. We used to get up she
- 12:24Speaker 3: sure thought. So we'd get up and we would run
- 12:27Speaker 3: like every day, but nothing crazy. You know, We're talking
- 12:30Speaker 3: maybe like three miles, okay, Max. And one day I
- 12:35Speaker 3: was at Lake Calhoun. If you've ever been to Minneapolis,
- 12:38Speaker 3: it's just this really big popular park in Lake you know,
- 12:41Speaker 3: and one lap around it is a five k right. Well,
- 12:45Speaker 3: we had got pretty good at doing that, you know,
- 12:47Speaker 3: on a pretty daily basis, and then one day I
- 12:51Speaker 3: just kind of kept going, you know, and then so
- 12:55Speaker 3: that's about, you know, just under four miles or so,
- 12:59Speaker 3: and I did like five six laps and when I
- 13:02Speaker 3: did the math at the end of it, I was like, oh,
- 13:03Speaker 3: I was a half marathon.
- 13:05Speaker 5: You are a crazy person. I just really not no
- 13:08Speaker 5: whim do a half marathon.
- 13:10Speaker 6: You're not real game.
- 13:15Speaker 5: This is am I the problem.
- 13:17Speaker 6: It's me the problem. It's me.
- 13:22Speaker 1: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your.
- 13:24Speaker 6: Help, am I the problem with you?
- 13:26Speaker 1: Decide if it's right or if maybe you're the problem.
- 13:29Speaker 7: I'm hardly the problem.
- 13:31Speaker 1: On Big ninety eight.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Point seven, Diana wrote into us, and let's get right
- 13:36Speaker 4: to it. My girlfriends need a reality check. You guys
- 13:41Speaker 4: are the ones who can do it.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Okay, the pressure's on.
- 13:44Speaker 4: We always get ready together, but my makeup became the
- 13:47Speaker 4: communal makeup. Things got dirty, damaged, used up, and went missing.
- 13:52Speaker 4: I've already had to replace products last weekend. When they
- 13:56Speaker 4: reached for my makeup again, I told them I wasn't
- 13:59Speaker 4: sharing anymore and they needed to bring their own. They
- 14:02Speaker 4: seemed annoyed and made comments all night and keep making
- 14:05Speaker 4: digs in the group chat. I am not the problem here,
- 14:08Speaker 4: but clearly they need someone else to point that out.
- 14:12Speaker 5: What do you think?
- 14:13Speaker 4: Seven oh one two, eight oh one nine eight seven.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I feel like I'm gonna say something she's not gonna like.
- 14:20Speaker 4: I really, yes, I think that she is the problem
- 14:25Speaker 4: because she should have said something before they all came
- 14:31Speaker 4: over that last time, and they were reaching for the
- 14:35Speaker 4: makeup because now they didn't bring their own makeup. You're
- 14:38Speaker 4: all getting ready together, they reach for the makeup. Oh no,
- 14:42Speaker 4: I'm not sharing anymore.
- 14:44Speaker 6: Girl. This would have been great for you to tell
- 14:46Speaker 6: me before.
- 14:47Speaker 5: I left my house.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Uh so, then what they just had to look busted
- 14:51Speaker 4: while she looked amazing that night out.
- 14:53Speaker 6: I would have been making comments all night too.
- 14:55Speaker 3: No, I actually love what's this girl's name?
- 14:58Speaker 5: Diana?
- 14:59Speaker 3: Diana. I absolutely love the strategy. Okay, you go out
- 15:03Speaker 3: looking fresh a m and your friends look busted also
- 15:10Speaker 3: a No, I'm just kidding. Obviously, in my opinion, she's
- 15:14Speaker 3: not the problem. I really don't know makeup girl code though.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I don't remember the last time I had to get
- 15:19Speaker 3: the mask ska right, and my last time, I mean
- 15:22Speaker 3: ever in my life, So I don't know. Isn' makeup
- 15:25Speaker 3: like fairly? Can it be kind of expensive?
- 15:27Speaker 5: Yes?
- 15:28Speaker 4: Yeah, good makeup is very expensive. The precedent was set
- 15:32Speaker 4: that she's the communal makeup, and I just feel like
- 15:35Speaker 4: she should have said something earlier, like the first time
- 15:38Speaker 4: something went missing, or the first time there was a
- 15:42Speaker 4: something was used up or damnage, you know what I mean?
- 15:44Speaker 3: Put down a little sooner, Yeah, avoid a later problem, right.
- 15:47Speaker 4: And then I understand, but they're my girlfriends, and I
- 15:49Speaker 4: don't you know whatever. But now you've gotten to a
- 15:51Speaker 4: point where you're calling them out on the radio, Diana.
- 15:54Speaker 4: So yeah, I've got to say it's a both and
- 15:57Speaker 4: all right, they wear the problem for doing the most
- 15:59Speaker 4: of your map and not being considerate. But you also
- 16:02Speaker 4: should have said something earlier, especially because they were already
- 16:08Speaker 4: at your house getting ready and then didn't have their
- 16:12Speaker 4: own stuff, and you decided, no, this is the time. Actually,
- 16:17Speaker 4: of course you love that strategy game. I think about it.
- 16:19Speaker 4: I kind of hate Diana's for it. What these friends stink?
- 16:24Speaker 3: You're telling me? You know you have to get ready,
- 16:27Speaker 3: you're about to go do something whatever. You don't even
- 16:29Speaker 3: attempt to fake to bring your Freddy makeup, and you
- 16:33Speaker 3: know you're just gonna use the good stuff. You just
- 16:36Speaker 3: walk into this person's house going, yeah, I'm just gonna
- 16:39Speaker 3: use that.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Who does that? They're insane?
- 16:42Speaker 3: Could you imagine this is the boy version of this?
- 16:45Speaker 3: Can you imagine it is?
- 16:46Speaker 4: Uh?
- 16:47Speaker 3: I go to my best friend Jake Moore Jake's house, right,
- 16:50Speaker 3: I go visit him, and you know, we're gonna go
- 16:52Speaker 3: out for the night, or we're gonna pregame or watch
- 16:54Speaker 3: the wild Game or whatever whatever the scenario is. And
- 16:57Speaker 3: I walk in there and I know we're gonna be
- 17:00Speaker 3: doing some adult beverage drinking. Yeah, and I waltz on
- 17:03Speaker 3: in there and just start grabbing stuff from the fridge
- 17:06Speaker 3: without even faking, like I'm gonna bring a six pack.
- 17:10Speaker 3: I would do that to my best friend Jake. Yeah,
- 17:12Speaker 3: I would at least fake it.
- 17:14Speaker 4: See that's the thing I think because they it happened
- 17:18Speaker 4: so many times, they felt safe that no. I mean,
- 17:22Speaker 4: she really got them with the element of surprise. Let
- 17:24Speaker 4: us know your thoughts. Seven oh one two eight one,
- 17:26Speaker 4: nine eighty seven. We also have this up on the
- 17:28Speaker 4: Big ninety eight point seven Facebook page.
- 17:33Speaker 3: And it's Big ninety eight point seven. Who's this gets
- 17:36Speaker 3: a game?
- 17:37Speaker 5: It's just one word, unsanitary. Oh you know what that is?
- 17:41Speaker 5: It is unsanitary.
- 17:41Speaker 3: I don't know anything about makeup.
- 17:43Speaker 4: It is unsanitary to like share mascara, to share lip glass,
- 17:47Speaker 4: all that it is unsanitary.
- 17:50Speaker 5: Gross.
- 17:50Speaker 4: I don't ever wear makeup, but you I, I.
- 17:53Speaker 3: You know, you don't know what coody is you? You
- 17:58Speaker 3: im just saying just saying, thank you so much for
- 18:00Speaker 3: the call, Duaba. It sounds like Duaba is clearly on
- 18:04Speaker 3: team Diana.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Yeah, Diana wanted to know if she's a problem for deciding,
- 18:10Speaker 4: aren't wrong, girlfriends of mine, you can no longer use
- 18:14Speaker 4: my makeup as the communal makeup when we get ready
- 18:17Speaker 4: to go.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Out, do not collect two hundred dollars, do not pass
- 18:20Speaker 3: go with my makeup.
- 18:22Speaker 6: One hundred percent.
- 18:23Speaker 4: I think that Diana should have said something earlier than
- 18:27Speaker 4: when she did, because it was last weekend when they
- 18:30Speaker 4: reached for her makeup and she went, actually, I'm not
- 18:32Speaker 4: sharing anymore. So then she got to go dolled up
- 18:35Speaker 4: and her friends had to go out on their faced.
- 18:38Speaker 4: But she is right, Duapa is correct that it is
- 18:42Speaker 4: it's technically unsanitary. I know that with our best friends,
- 18:46Speaker 4: our girlfriends, our family members, we can get to a
- 18:48Speaker 4: level of comfortability where we're like, it's fine, who cares,
- 18:51Speaker 4: we can share, no problem. But I do think that Diana,
- 18:56Speaker 4: maybe Douaba is onto something you.
- 18:59Speaker 6: Can share makeup. Just make sure the.
- 19:01Speaker 4: Next mascarawand you handover has pinky on it.
- 19:04Speaker 3: Yeah, tell me got some rare skin disease. Yeah, I'll
- 19:07Speaker 3: get them.
- 19:07Speaker 6: To say, I don't get them to learn their lesson.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I do love this comment on Facebook. Uh, this comment
- 19:14Speaker 3: from Michelle, And this is kind of initially what I
- 19:17Speaker 3: thought when I first heard Diana's email. How old are you?
- 19:21Speaker 3: Your friends are the problem? They should respect your things
- 19:23Speaker 3: and clearly need a lesson in manners and respecting other
- 19:27Speaker 3: people's things. That's right. They also need a night out
- 19:30Speaker 3: where that ZiT is the shining star. We were in
- 19:37Speaker 3: a big ninety eight point seven meeting with our boss
- 19:40Speaker 3: and somehow, like every meeting I feel like in the
- 19:44Speaker 3: corporate world, things got a little off track as we
- 19:47Speaker 3: started debating and what's better a hotel or an airb
- 19:52Speaker 3: and b.
- 19:53Speaker 4: What happened was as I had seen this study that
- 19:56Speaker 4: said that sixty two percent of Americans prefer a hotel
- 20:00Speaker 4: over an Airbnb, and I, as someone who has staunchly
- 20:05Speaker 4: been team hotel from the jump since Airbnb's inception, felt
- 20:12Speaker 4: really validated because I don't like an airb and b.
- 20:17Speaker 4: And we actually put this on the big ninety eight
- 20:19Speaker 4: point seven Facebook page, which do you prefer? We put
- 20:22Speaker 4: a pole up hotel or AIRB and B. Gabe, you
- 20:28Speaker 4: are team Airbnb because you're wrong.
- 20:30Speaker 6: And the poll is in my favor.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Sixty five percent prefer a hotel and thirty five percent
- 20:38Speaker 4: prefer an airbnb.
- 20:40Speaker 6: So we fake.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Oh, first off, I'm gonna cut Angie opera. Now, first off,
- 20:43Speaker 3: what this was was if I had the argument, if
- 20:48Speaker 3: you were gonna do like a couple nights day, it's
- 20:50Speaker 3: just a quick weekend. Uh huh, all right, hotel perfectly fine.
- 20:54Speaker 3: But if you're going for like four or five, six
- 20:56Speaker 3: days or longer, I want the Airbnb. I want that home.
- 21:01Speaker 4: No, no, I don't agree with this. Okay, let me
- 21:06Speaker 4: make my case, sir, and anybody who is team hotel,
- 21:11Speaker 4: please give us a call and help me make this
- 21:14Speaker 4: case against Gates.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Angie here, I'll let you make your case. Let me
- 21:17Speaker 3: get let me set the theme for it.
- 21:19Speaker 4: Oh okay, all right, a hotel is better just because
- 21:24Speaker 4: it is.
- 21:25Speaker 5: No, here's the thing.
- 21:28Speaker 6: An airbnb.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Your host is not on site, right, so if there's
- 21:34Speaker 4: any little problem, it's a lot more difficult to get
- 21:38Speaker 4: it corrected at an Airbnb than it.
- 21:40Speaker 6: Is at a hotel, where you just call down the.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Front desk and tell them what the issue is, for example,
- 21:46Speaker 4: if there's not enough towels, you can just call down and.
- 21:49Speaker 5: Get extra towels.
- 21:51Speaker 4: At Airbnb, you're at the mercy of whatever towels they
- 21:54Speaker 4: have there, unless you packed your own towels, which is lame.
- 21:59Speaker 6: Who wants to pass their own.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Towels on a trip, especially if you're flying, You're gonna
- 22:03Speaker 4: waste luggage space on towels. So the towel situation alone
- 22:09Speaker 4: hotel is better. Also, at a hotel, the focus isn't
- 22:13Speaker 4: solely on you, which sounds like, well, I do want
- 22:16Speaker 4: the focus to be on me.
- 22:17Speaker 5: No, no, no.
- 22:18Speaker 4: When there's so many other guests doing so many other things,
- 22:21Speaker 4: you're less likely to get called out for behavior that
- 22:26Speaker 4: maybe is not the most suitable at an airbnb.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Behavior If you have.
- 22:32Speaker 4: Too many people in your room, for example, at an
- 22:34Speaker 4: airbnb and they always have the ring cameras. The second
- 22:38Speaker 4: there's one person over whatever the limit is set on
- 22:42Speaker 4: the website, then the host is like, no, you can't
- 22:46Speaker 4: have more, penalty a fine.
- 22:49Speaker 5: It's all a mess.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Angie, you are in your I'll give you mid thirties, okay,
- 22:55Speaker 3: I don't like the all give your vacations. Are you
- 22:58Speaker 3: going on where you need ten people in trips? How
- 23:02Speaker 3: many of those you go on several How many you
- 23:05Speaker 3: got on this last year? Three?
- 23:07Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 23:08Speaker 3: So three times, three times?
- 23:10Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 23:11Speaker 4: Three times in a year is a lot for a
- 23:13Speaker 4: girl's trip to leave these children behind.
- 23:16Speaker 3: You know what, Angie, I'll be dead honest with you.
- 23:19Speaker 3: For the past twenty four hours, I have very fakeally
- 23:23Speaker 3: cared about this debate. Because you're so passionate and it
- 23:26Speaker 3: means so much to you. I will concede. You can
- 23:28Speaker 3: have your hotels, all right, okay, But if I'm sitting
- 23:32Speaker 3: on a beach somewhere, okay, I want the Airbnb. I
- 23:35Speaker 3: want to walk out with my sand in the toes.
- 23:37Speaker 3: I don't want to do the elevator. I don't want
- 23:38Speaker 3: to hear kids running up and down the hallway and
- 23:41Speaker 3: things like that. So that'd be my argument for the airbnb.
- 23:44Speaker 3: But what we need is you to settle this debate
- 23:48Speaker 3: for us seven oh one to eight zero one to
- 23:50Speaker 3: nine eight seven. I've stayed in some wonderful hotels. I've
- 23:53Speaker 3: stayed in a wonderful hotel here in Fargo. I'm not
- 23:56Speaker 3: anti hotel. I'm just hey, if it's going to be
- 23:59Speaker 3: a long stay, I kind of want just a homey feel,
- 24:02Speaker 3: that's all.
- 24:03Speaker 5: No, I don't like it.
- 24:04Speaker 4: Someone come defend Gabe.
- 24:15Speaker 3: It is the month of December. It's December third, which
- 24:18Speaker 3: I'm sure you know this morning, but we wanted to
- 24:21Speaker 3: give a big congratulations this morning to anybody who made
- 24:25Speaker 3: a resolution in twenty twenty five and has done their
- 24:28Speaker 3: very best to stick with it. You only have one ish,
- 24:33Speaker 3: a little less than a month, yeah, to say you
- 24:35Speaker 3: did it for the entire year, whether it was you
- 24:38Speaker 3: wanted to get better sleep, or you wanted to you know,
- 24:42Speaker 3: start going to the gym more or read more books. Yeah,
- 24:46Speaker 3: learn a new craft, whatever it is. If you put
- 24:50Speaker 3: in some effort for that in twenty twenty five, you
- 24:52Speaker 3: only have a month to go and you can say
- 24:54Speaker 3: you did it, which is awesome. I never have been
- 24:56Speaker 3: able to say that in my life.
- 24:57Speaker 6: You haven't kept any resolution.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Goodness, No, I make this. I've made the same New
- 25:02Speaker 3: Year's resolution for like fourteen years, which is I always
- 25:07Speaker 3: have three Okay. I'm gonna get better sleep, uh huh,
- 25:10Speaker 3: I'm gonna drink more water okay, and I'm gonna swear less.
- 25:14Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I can tell just by working with you.
- 25:16Speaker 3: No, I probably have. I probably have done the water
- 25:21Speaker 3: part this year. But how do I compare it? Yeah,
- 25:23Speaker 3: you know I do drink a solid amount of water
- 25:25Speaker 3: here at work and stuff.
- 25:26Speaker 5: But you know what, I go home.
- 25:28Speaker 6: That's the window when you're listing things.
- 25:30Speaker 4: And you said maybe to read more books. I just
- 25:33Speaker 4: realized in this moment I failed that resolution.
- 25:35Speaker 6: However, I do you.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Would have had to have read one book? Yeah, okay,
- 25:41Speaker 3: just kidding.
- 25:42Speaker 5: Yes. No, I make a ton.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Of resolutions and the hopes that maybe a couple will stick.
- 25:49Speaker 4: But two major ones I did accomplish. I mean so
- 25:53Speaker 4: the first is that I wanted to land a new
- 25:54Speaker 4: job and I did. I that's right, I'll host the
- 25:57Speaker 4: big ninety eight point seven morning show with you.
- 25:59Speaker 5: But the and I still have to keep it.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Up for the next twenty eight days or whatever is that.
- 26:06Speaker 4: I give my kids daily eight hugs each, wow, sixteen
- 26:12Speaker 4: total for you. Yes, I saw something on TikTok where
- 26:15Speaker 4: it was like a psychologist allegedly that said for your
- 26:20Speaker 4: kids to you know, girl up happy and joyful.
- 26:23Speaker 3: This sounds like a TikTok hacker, TikTok wife.
- 26:25Speaker 4: Well, no, my kids love it, though they should get
- 26:28Speaker 4: at least eight hugs a day.
- 26:30Speaker 5: I think it says like up to twelve or something.
- 26:32Speaker 4: But I give my kids eight hugs each per day
- 26:36Speaker 4: and I have not failed on that. The only time
- 26:39Speaker 4: I can't is obviously if they're out of town or
- 26:41Speaker 4: I'm out of town, right, But if we're in the
- 26:44Speaker 4: same place, they get those eight hugs. And even my
- 26:47Speaker 4: fifteen year old really likes it, like he'll remind me, hey,
- 26:50Speaker 4: we have a few more hugs to go.
- 26:52Speaker 5: And I'm like, oh my gosh, so sweet. So those
- 26:54Speaker 5: are the two new job lots of hugs, all right.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Well, we posted this question on face book, Hey did
- 27:00Speaker 3: you keep your twenty twenty five resolution? How's it going?
- 27:03Speaker 3: Dale g has a New Year's resolution on there that
- 27:07Speaker 3: we will not read on the radio, but you could
- 27:09Speaker 3: go check it out on the big ninety eight point seven.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Fook quite the resolution out of our boy Dale there.
- 27:15Speaker 3: But Ali had a very very sweet one, And I
- 27:17Speaker 3: think this is one that if you are not a
- 27:19Speaker 3: New Year's resolution kind of person, but maybe it's just
- 27:22Speaker 3: something you want to try to do a little better of.
- 27:24Speaker 3: In twenty twenty six, Ali had a very sweet answer.
- 27:27Speaker 3: She said, my resolution was to no longer care what
- 27:30Speaker 3: people think of me, and to find love. She said,
- 27:33Speaker 3: I did both. Now that's wonderful for Allie. Now Allie
- 27:38Speaker 3: might have you know, a boyfriend or a hubby or
- 27:40Speaker 3: whatever her situation is. She also might have just learned
- 27:43Speaker 3: to love herself as well a little bit more so.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Either way she win or not wins. But she accomplished
- 27:49Speaker 3: that in all five, which is fantastic. Let us know,
- 27:52Speaker 3: did you or have you made it all the way
- 27:55Speaker 3: to December for your twenty twenty five resolution, call us
- 27:59Speaker 3: text us at seven one two eight zero one nine
- 28:02Speaker 3: eight seven. One of these years, I will thick with
- 28:06Speaker 3: the sleep and the water.
- 28:11Speaker 6: I need some good.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 28:17Speaker 1: good news on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 28:21Speaker 3: A nine year old retired more Head teacher, Clark Tofti,
- 28:25Speaker 3: has shared a special thirteen year friendship with a sixteen
- 28:29Speaker 3: year old named Kenzie, who's a junior at Morehead High School.
- 28:33Speaker 3: And this bond began when she was just a toddler
- 28:36Speaker 3: getting off the school bus and chatting with him when
- 28:39Speaker 3: he was in his driveway.
- 28:41Speaker 7: It was pretty much every day after school he would
- 28:43Speaker 7: be sitting in the garage waiting for me to get
- 28:45Speaker 7: off the bus, and I would walk over and we
- 28:48Speaker 7: talk about school or whatever was on our minds, I guess.
- 28:52Speaker 3: And despite the seventy year age gat, the two have
- 28:54Speaker 3: stayed close through moves of school and life changes. Kenzie
- 28:58Speaker 3: still visits him at Tout And if you don't know
- 29:00Speaker 3: what that is, it's a senior living facility in Fargo.
- 29:03Speaker 3: She helped decorate catch up with him, and Clark says
- 29:07Speaker 3: her friendship embraced by both families has been a true gift.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Their simple neighborhood connection has grown into something deep, lasting
- 29:14Speaker 3: and emotional for them both, which is exactly what the
- 29:19Speaker 3: holiday season is all about. The community, the giving, learning
- 29:23Speaker 3: to love your neighbor and care about who they are
- 29:25Speaker 3: and what's going on in their life. And it was
- 29:27Speaker 3: just a very sweet story. This, you know, ninety year
- 29:29Speaker 3: old guy who just maybe he didn't know he needed
- 29:31Speaker 3: a friend, but he found a new lifelong one.
- 29:33Speaker 6: Yeah, bridging the generations.
- 29:35Speaker 5: I love it.
- 29:36Speaker 3: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 29:38Speaker 3: find one, you gotta be
