- 0:00Holding back that you've gone football coach I Show Mike chris Pino doined by Jim
- 0:03Moore every Tuesday. Let's talk Boston College. Is this is an interesting team
- 0:07at four and three, they've had five games to side by a total fourteen
- 0:11points. Talking about close ones, they're two and three in those games.
- 0:14They started one and three. But Jim, now they won three in a
- 0:17row. You're going to be facing a confident team up there at Alumni Stadium
- 0:20on the weekend. Yeah, they're a different team than they were alearn in
- 0:23the season. The way they're producing offensively, the aggression they're playing with defensively.
- 0:31Have an opportunity to watch them on defense earlier in the season, was
- 0:33really impressed with them. But they're different offensively, and you know, their
- 0:38young quarterback transfer has just kind of changed the way that they do things.
- 0:44He's dynamic as a runner. He can throw the ball. You know,
- 0:48he can keep a play alive. He's got incredible acceleration and change the direction,
- 0:54and they're utilizing He's leading the FBS is in rushing for a quarterback and
- 1:00so poses a whole lot of challenges for us on defense. And then you
- 1:06know their defense being aggressive and playing man and coming after you. It poses
- 1:11challenges for your offense. They were much different football team than they were last
- 1:15year when we played them. You know, they got guys back that were
- 1:18injured. They've done a great job in recruiting and development and in the portal.
- 1:23And yeah, they're they're no joke, that's for sure. Yeah.
- 1:27Quarterback Thomas Castillanos came from UCF. He's a sophomore. Eight rushing touchdowns.
- 1:33I think that's tied for the lead among quarterbacks in the country. They also
- 1:37had got a great running well. They had three hundred and eight yards against
- 1:41Georgia Tech last weekend. Georgia Tech's I think one hundred and twenty eighth against
- 1:45the rush, So that's part of it. But Kyle Robodo is a guy
- 1:48who went for one to sixty five and a couple of touchdowns. He transferred
- 1:51from Western Kentucky. You talk about having depth in the running back room.
- 1:53He wasn't even the starter for them. They had an injury to one of
- 1:57their starters and he really came on strong again Georgia Tech. Yeah, and
- 2:00unfortunately it looks like the guy that he replaced is back now. So you
- 2:05know, they'll have the advantage of having of having two really experienced and really
- 2:09good running backs. They're and the thing that they are is they're really physical
- 2:14upfront and they play fast, you know. I mean they're big, physical,
- 2:19fast and aggressive up front on offense. And uh, you know,
- 2:23they're a really good football team. I mean, like you said, they've
- 2:27won three in a row. They it's a big end to go down to
- 2:30Georgia, to Georgia Tech and you know, go on the road and get
- 2:32a win against what, you know, I think we all think is a
- 2:35pretty good Georgia Tech team. So it's going to be a great game for
- 2:39us, a great test. I know our guys are looking forward to it.
- 2:43They love these challenges and uh, you know, I'm just hoping that
- 2:46we can go out and we can execute and as we talked about earlier in
- 2:50the show, take advantage of opportunities that we create and uh, somehow find
- 2:54a way to get a win. You know, it's Boston College homecoming.
- 2:59They came from hind in the fourth quarter against Georgia Tech, and aside from
- 3:01the fourth quarter for Yukon's defense last weekend, I mean, Malik Dixon Williams
- 3:08had ten tackles, forced to fumble. Jackson Mitchell had fifteen tackles, nine
- 3:14solo, and you got some guys back there that are filling it up on
- 3:16the stat sheet and doing great things. I'm really appreciative of Malik Dixon Williams
- 3:22to me, a guy that's been He've been hurt a little bit this year,
- 3:24but he's been able. When he gets on the field, he always
- 3:28makes an impact. He's a playmaker. You know, we saw it last
- 3:30year in the past game. This year you see it both in the past
- 3:35game of the run game. He's got a very good understanding what we want
- 3:38to do defensively, it's important to him. He's physical, he's athletic,
- 3:43he's smart, he really cares. He studies. You know, he gives
- 3:46you all those things that you want. The thing that's hampered in this year
- 3:51is is you know, he hasn't been able to just play consistent because of
- 3:54injuries. They're consistently weekend and week out because of injuries. But I think
- 3:58he's coming back to that and I'm hopeful that he can have another great performance
- 4:02this week and stay healthy and finish out the year really strong. Because he's
- 4:06a good player that we need. And besides that, he's a great kid
- 4:10who we depend on for his leadership. Yeah, that's all I'm going to
- 4:15say. He's a great leader. Malik Dixon Williams a junior our coach.
- 4:18We appreciate it. Best of luck this weekend. We'll be right alongside you.
- 4:23We're not supposed to be rooting from that booth, but I will be.
- 4:26Thank you. All right, that's Jim Moore coming up. Bob Joyce
- 4:30visits with Maliit Dixon Williams and also with the Brett Buckman as we continue on
