Ivan Toney’s trial on assault charge set for June 2028, during Euro 2028
Ivan Toney’s trial on an assault charge is scheduled for June 12, 2028, during the group stage of the European Championship. The England striker pleaded not guilty at Southwark Crown Court. He is accused of head-butting and punching Saber Da Silva at a Soho nightclub on December 6 last year. Judge Hehir apologized for the delay, saying Crown Courts are under considerable pressure. Toney was released on unconditional bail and told to stay in regular contact with his solicitors.
