- 0:00So here's a question. When was the last time you had a good night's sleep?
- 0:05When was the last time you were not tossing and turning, you went to sleep,
- 0:12and you woke up, and you felt like you were rejuvenated?
- 0:16You felt as if you had slept for days.
- 0:20That's what happened to me finally last night. Have faith, let it begin.
- 0:25Having a good night rest is so important. Starts right now.
- 0:31Have faith, let it begin. And it starts right now.
- 0:37Welcome to Have Faith. Let it begin. Here's your host, Angel Santana.
- 0:44Ariel, can you say Have faith. Let it begin. Let it begin. Have faith.
- 0:52Let it begin. No.
- 0:55Okay. Hi, Noah. Noah.
- 1:00Happy birthday, Noah. Say that on NBC. That's what does that sound.
- 1:09Noah. This little light of mine, I'm going to let it sound. This little light
- 1:15of mine, I'm going to let it shine.
- 1:19This little light of rain, I'm going to let it shine. Let it shine.
- 1:25Let it shine. Let it shine. Yeah.
- 1:30Daddy, I'm so excited. But I have one question. What's your question?
- 1:35I'm going to be a pastor or a minister.
- 1:37Good question. I don't know, but it is all in God's hands. Good morning.
- 1:42You're listening to Have Faith Let Begin, and it starts right now.
- 1:47Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Have Faith Let It Begin.
- 1:51Today is May 15th, 2025.
- 1:56Yeah, many of you are probably clapping right now.
- 1:59I know. I know I was. I woke up this morning, and as soon as I opened my eyes,
- 2:05this is what I felt like I heard. Oh, God.
- 2:11Music.
- 2:17That's what i felt like i heard i heard cheering i
- 2:20heard clapping and i smiled because i
- 2:23finally got some sleep that's right sleep finally
- 2:26came good seven hours of sleep
- 2:29i've been averaging maybe two to three sometimes two
- 2:32at most four but recently about
- 2:35two hours of sleep and yeah it catches up
- 2:38to you of course but when you finally get
- 2:40some sleep you feel as if your mind
- 2:43is at ease when you wake up less stress and of
- 2:47course for me it doesn't help it does help it does help actually
- 2:50the fact that i am off today so that
- 2:53does play a factor but when you finally get that sleep you have this clear mindset
- 3:00that you can take on the world and then it got me thinking almost immediately
- 3:06as jesus took human form and he knew what was coming how did he sleep.
- 3:13How did his disciples sleep?
- 3:16How did they sleep knowing what was coming?
- 3:20How did they sleep after they saw and bear witness to his crucifixion on the cross?
- 3:27Walking Cody, he's handling his business right now. So you can hear a caper
- 3:31in the background because that's my job. I had to clean up after him.
- 3:34But my question is, how that must have felt like to know that the person that
- 3:43you have been following, your mentor, your Lord and Savior.
- 3:49Was crucified, was put in a tomb, and for three days, you wonder what was next.
- 3:58How often do we worry about what happens the next day?
- 4:04What's gonna happen the next week? What's gonna happen the next hour?
- 4:08Is that what keeps us up at night?
- 4:10You know, I'm writing a sermon called God is with us always,
- 4:15or God is always with us. I haven't finalized it yet,
- 4:18I'm starting to understand that when you feel and you think and you know all
- 4:24these things, you know, for us, we don't have to have those doubts.
- 4:30We know the story. We know who Jesus is.
- 4:33We know what he's capable of. And we know that he's a part of our lives if we allow him to, right?
- 4:42We do not worry. We shouldn't worry.
- 4:45We shouldn't have the stress that we do because he's with us always.
- 4:51So how is it that many of us struggle with the sleep that we do? Well, it could be bills.
- 4:58It could be maybe fighting with your spouse. Maybe you're having issues at work.
- 5:03Maybe you are still missing someone who has been called home to be with the Lord.
- 5:08I know that when I lost my two grandmothers and when my wife lost her father, we didn't sleep much.
- 5:16Because it was a time of mourning. It was a time of pain and sorrow and loss.
- 5:22All I kept doing at that moment was reiterating that they have gone home,
- 5:28that we should be celebrating and honoring all the time that we had with them.
- 5:34Trust me, I know that is very easier said than done.
- 5:37Trust me when I tell you it's not easy to even say those words when you know
- 5:41another person is hurting, especially when they have the faith that they do.
- 5:46But we have to remember that the pain that we feel here is temporary because
- 5:55God has a better plan for those, for us, and for the future.
- 6:01So if you're struggling with your sleep, if you're not sure how to overcome
- 6:06your small insomnia, I'm going to share with you what I do.
- 6:11When I have that problem, I go onto YouTube and I type in the instrumental version of Amazing Grace.
- 6:18I play that and I never get through it because I fall fast asleep.
- 6:22As it's playing, I usually use the Lord's prayer like this. Our Father,
- 6:28Lord in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
- 6:31Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
- 6:36Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our
- 6:41debtors. Lead us on to temptation.
- 6:44Deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
- 6:52May the good Lord be with you. May he shine his light upon you and grant each
- 6:58and every single one of you peace on earth. May you get great sleep.
- 7:03May you be at peace. and may God continue to be a huge part of all that you
- 7:09do every second, every minute, every hour, and every day.
- 7:15Have faith, let it begin. Thank you for listening to Have Faith,
