- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here and this is a love based hypnosis session and
- 0:46it was created for a client that had a long history of toxic
- 0:51relationships. We're talking narcissistic
- 0:54abuse, violence, verbal abuse, disrespect, violating
- 1:00boundaries, you name it. And because of that, they had a
- 1:04part within them that was feeling that they didn't
- 1:07actually deserve respect and kindness and real love, but also
- 1:13a feeling of trepidation because a lot of these toxic
- 1:17relationships didn't start off toxic.
- 1:20They started with a lot of love, affection, connection, made them
- 1:24feel wonderful. And then something changed.
- 1:27And because of that, they were now in a new relationship with
- 1:31someone that they thought was kind, respectful, and that would
- 1:34respect their boundaries. But because they've been hurt
- 1:37before and they didn't have a lot of trust in previous
- 1:41relationships based on their own experience, there was this
- 1:44feeling of what if this ends up the same?
- 1:47So they were very guarded in this new relationship.
- 1:51What this hypnosis session is all about is making them feel
- 1:55worthy of real love but also and crucially having the non
- 2:00negotiable boundaries so that if history does repeat then they
- 2:05are able to mitigate and react to that quickly.
- 2:09Because what can happen is if you are in a relationship with a
- 2:12toxic person because of all that serotonin, oxytocin and all that
- 2:17dopamine, it can actually make people justify the behaviour of
- 2:21the person they're with. And my belief is that you get
- 2:24what you tolerate, not what you deserve.
- 2:27And that can lead to this encroachment of ever decreasing
- 2:31standards and that can lead to almost accepting abusive
- 2:37behaviour. So they needed the non
- 2:39negotiable boundaries to keep them safe.
- 2:41What was interesting though is that they didn't perceive
- 2:44themselves to be worthy. There was this big question of
- 2:47do they actually deserve to be treated well?
- 2:51So I asked them who sees you in the most positive way possible?
- 2:55And they had a best friend and a daughter that really held them
- 2:58in high self esteem. So it uses regression to a time
- 3:02where those people were there and then someone who wasn't
- 3:05there but also looked at them very well, which was their
- 3:08father. So they could see themselves
- 3:10through the eyes of other people and start to perceive that that
- 3:15standard, that quality, that worthiness, that other people
- 3:19saw them. They could see themself in that
- 3:21way, and I would encourage you that if you can relate to
- 3:25finding it difficult to accept compliments or affection, or if
- 3:31things are nice and respectable, if it feels boring and you're
- 3:35kind of craving that toxic excitement, you might get some
- 3:39real value from this session. Now, of course, it was created
- 3:41for an individual, therefore some of the suggestions are not
- 3:44going to be relevant to you at all.
- 3:46So just pick the suggestions that are useful, disregard
- 3:49anything that doesn't quite fit. And if you like the idea of a
- 3:53bespoke session created just for you, have a look either in the
- 3:56description of this episode or my website whichisadamcox.co.uk,
- 4:02and there you're going to find some information about how to
- 4:05work with me directly. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 4:08comfortable place where you won't be distracted or
- 4:10disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 4:30Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in, breathe in a feeling
- 4:41of pure worthiness. And as you exhale, I want you to
- 4:51release any emotions from the past, from those people that had
- 5:02an agenda, maybe a parent, partner, someone jealous or
- 5:12controlling. I want you to assess that so
- 5:18many of those emotions were real emotions based on false
- 5:25information. Consider breathing in and
- 5:29breathing out a detox, breathing in that worthiness and exhaling
- 5:40any of those toxic emotions of the past.
- 5:46Each breath is a release, and each breath helps you relax a
- 5:54little deeper. That's it.
- 5:59And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you feel.
- 6:05And the more relaxed you feel, the deeper you breathe.
- 6:10Each breath takes you deeper, deeper to a place within your
- 6:17imagination because when your body relaxes, your imagination
- 6:24can really awaken. And I want you to imagine being
- 6:32on the oceanfront at a time when your self esteem and confidence
- 6:41was at its very highest. I want you to see how you were
- 6:50back then, smiling free. See how you looked when you were
- 7:03oozing worthiness, confidence. And then step into that version
- 7:11of you and start to feel that way again, the feeling that you
- 7:20love who you are. You're more than enough.
- 7:26But just imagine you have the whole beach to yourself and just
- 7:32make yourself comfortable as you imagine a bed or a blanket there
- 7:37on the sand, hearing the waves gently crash against the shore,
- 7:45each breathtaking you deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 7:53That's it. And I wonder if you could
- 7:59imagine what it would feel like to imagine falling asleep on
- 8:06that beach. To have a dream within a dream.
- 8:13Just breathe in and breathing out.
- 8:17Every outward breath you release a little more tension.
- 8:24Just allow the tiny muscles to understand for the next little
- 8:29while. Vigilance and tension is no
- 8:36longer required. This is a place of reflection,
- 8:43of learning and reclaiming something that has always
- 8:48belonged to you. Your worth, your strength, your
- 8:56ability to love and to be loved. But as you think back, I want
- 9:08you to think of a part within that tried to keep you safe.
- 9:14So let's acknowledge that part, the part of you that became
- 9:20guarded, vigilant, cautious in relationships that wasn't self
- 9:29sabotage. And that part was never broken.
- 9:34That part was a protector, A protector that learned from
- 9:41experience. And one of the things that it
- 9:46learned is that when people cross boundaries, when they
- 9:51manipulate, when they disrespect or harm, the mind becomes
- 9:58watchful. You've heard the phrase once
- 10:05bitten, twice shy. You've been bitten in
- 10:10relationships and this protective part is trying to
- 10:14keep you safe by being hyper aware and ready to defend,
- 10:23trying to look for red flags and patterns that you've seen
- 10:26before. All of that vigilance was your
- 10:31mind's attempt to keep you safe because your mind knows how
- 10:38precious, worthy, and valuable you are.
- 10:42Your mind wouldn't keep you safe if you weren't valuable.
- 10:48But today something will change because you are learning
- 10:55something at a deeper level that you do not need to live with
- 11:02permanent armor to remain safe. There is something far more
- 11:09powerful than armor. Clear boundaries, self worth,
- 11:20and the ability to walk away when those boundaries are
- 11:24crossed. And those three things create
- 11:39safety without shutting down love and connection.
- 11:47And as you think about that oceanfront drift back to a time,
- 11:54maybe the same beach or somewhere close by, where a
- 12:00photo shoot was being taken to celebrate a special occasion.
- 12:10Still imagine being in that dream on the beach.
- 12:13But now, going back to that photo shoot, feel the feeling of
- 12:20warm air on your skin and the sound of waves gently moving
- 12:25against the shore, the brightness of the sky and May
- 12:33maybe even there's salt in the air, in the breeze.
- 12:40And there's something magical about a photo shoot because it
- 12:43captures a moment in time. And this was not just any
- 12:48moment. This was a moment where you felt
- 12:53something more than ever before. Natural radiating confidence, a
- 13:03natural awareness of your beauty inside and out.
- 13:11And you can get glimpses of what you remember, the photographer,
- 13:17the clothes being worn. And you may remember the light
- 13:21reflecting off the water, the words being used to take photos,
- 13:29the laughter, the smiles, the energy in the air.
- 13:34And as you see that version of you, I want you to remember how
- 13:39you felt. Poised, radiant, comfortable in
- 13:46your own skin. And you were strong.
- 13:52You were worth noticing. And as you reconnect with that
- 13:57moment, your mind may begin to realise something that was
- 14:04always true. That confidence was not
- 14:09something someone gave you. It's not rare, like an eclipse
- 14:16only happens now and then. That confidence came from within
- 14:21you. It was always there, and it
- 14:25still is. So allow that feeling to grow
- 14:30stronger now, as if every breath draws more of that confidence
- 14:35back into your body. There were other people there.
- 14:44I want you to imagine what it would be like to see yourself
- 14:51through the eyes of other people.
- 14:58Imagine stepping outside of yourself just for a moment and
- 15:04see your best friend and step into their perspective.
- 15:09Start to see yourself as your best friend sees you.
- 15:15And as you look at yourself and the way you smile and move,
- 15:20allow the word phenomenal to just pop into your mind.
- 15:28I want you to notice the qualities they admire in you.
- 15:35Maybe they admire the fact that even though you've gone through
- 15:38so much, your spirit isn't broken, your soul is still pure.
- 15:49Perhaps your resilience, your kindness, your humour or
- 15:52strength, The tenacity, the relentlessness, the
- 15:58determination. Your best friend does not see
- 16:02weakness. They see someone remarkable.
- 16:08And because you're seeing yourself through their eyes, you
- 16:12see you as remarkable, you see you as phenomenal.
- 16:21And just allow that perspective to settle in.
- 16:26Their view is not distorted by criticism or manipulation.
- 16:31It's based on respect and truth. And now switch perspectives and
- 16:38see yourself through the eyes of your daughter and imagine a
- 16:43sparkle or a Halo or a glow or an aura around you.
- 16:48Because to her, you are amazing. See yourself as amazing not
- 16:57because you are perfect, but because you are you and you are
- 17:04a model of strength. It was someone who shows what it
- 17:11means to survive challenges and still keep your heart open.
- 17:18To her, you represent possibility.
- 17:25When she looks at you, she sees someone worthy of admiration.
- 17:32And in the past, sometimes she learned what not to do, but you
- 17:42still taught her. She sees you as someone she is
- 17:47proud of. And allow yourself to feel what
- 17:52it's like to be seen through that lens.
- 17:58And even if your father wasn't there on the photo shoot,
- 18:02imagine him on the beach and start to imagine seeing yourself
- 18:07through the eyes of your father. And I want you to feel in your
- 18:14chest because you are him looking at you.
- 18:18The unlimited pride when he sees you and thinks of you.
- 18:26Proud of your beauty, proud of your values, your qualities,
- 18:33your courage. He admires your character, your
- 18:40ability to stand up again after being knocked down.
- 18:46And then imagine taking all three perspectives, phenomenal,
- 18:51amazing and proud all into one and see yourself that way.
- 18:59And then imagine a full length mirror there on the beach.
- 19:05Step into your body and see yourself through your eyes and
- 19:09those that hold you in the highest regard.
- 19:14I want you to notice your feeling of worthiness has never
- 19:19been higher. Your feeling of confidence, self
- 19:24esteem, self love, self respect has never been higher and it's
- 19:31still climbing. Allow your mind to recalibrate
- 19:39because the people who love you, the people who respect you, they
- 19:45all see the same thing. Someone that is phenomenal,
- 19:49amazing, someone that makes them proud.
- 19:55And the more you allow yourself to see what they see, the more
- 20:00natural self worth becomes. And the higher yourself worth,
- 20:09the more confidently you can communicate clear boundaries.
- 20:16And you no longer need hyper vigilance to be on guard to stay
- 20:22safe. You have something far more
- 20:26effective, clearly communicated boundaries.
- 20:33Think of them just like national borders.
- 20:38A country does not need to fear every visitor, but it does need
- 20:44clearly defined lines. The same applies in
- 20:49relationships. And there are non negotiables.
- 20:56There are lines in the sand that must never be crossed.
- 21:01Disrespect, verbal abuse, name calling, a manipulation or
- 21:07physical harm, betrayal in cheating, these.
- 21:13These are the red lines, and your mind agrees in advance that
- 21:22if those lines are crossed, the relationship ends immediately,
- 21:29not going back. If it's crossed, it's over.
- 21:35Not because you are cold, but because you respect yourself.
- 21:43Because the most powerful form of self love is refusing to
- 21:48tolerate anything that harms you, anything that chisels the
- 21:55very foundation of yourself worth.
- 22:00But there's also the amber lines.
- 22:04Not quite crossing a red line, but maybe getting too close for
- 22:09comfort. Those moments where something
- 22:13feels slightly off. Not necessarily wrong, but worth
- 22:18discussing. Consider these.
- 22:22The near misses, the close calls and these.
- 22:28These are triggers for conversations.
- 22:33Not shouting, not screaming. Calm, direct, respectful
- 22:40conversations. Because boundaries work best
- 22:44when they are spoken. They don't work if they're
- 22:49hidden. They don't work if you know them
- 22:52and no one else does. You can't hope the boundaries
- 22:58will be respected if people don't know what the boundaries
- 23:02are. The consequence of a healthy
- 23:06boundary is something very simple.
- 23:13Those people who respect you will honour it, and the people
- 23:17who don't reveal themselves, and that revelation protects you.
- 23:28But it's crucial that if a boundary gets crossed, that
- 23:33there is a consequence. Good people experience pain
- 23:41because in life you get what you tolerate, not what you deserve.
- 23:46That's why consequences are so important.
- 23:51If a boundary is crossed, a consequence must follow.
- 23:59But in doing so, you're able to create a new relationship with
- 24:03trust. Trust does not mean being naive.
- 24:10Trust means giving someone the opportunity to prove who they
- 24:13really are. And if any of that trust has
- 24:19been dampened or damaged over the years, I want you to
- 24:26resurrect it like the phoenix from the flames.
- 24:30Give yourself permission to trust again, but if they ever
- 24:36reveal themselves to be untrustworthy, then you no
- 24:41longer trust that individual. You can't generalize all people.
- 24:50If someone shows they are unworthy of trust, then you stop
- 24:54trusting that individual. But someone that does show they
- 25:00are worthy of trust, you trust them until they give you a
- 25:06reason not to. And what if that approach allows
- 25:11your guard to lower without ever sacrificing your safety?
- 25:19And you are no longer living in fear of betrayal or abuse.
- 25:28You are living in confidence that you will respond
- 25:32appropriately if any lines are crossed.
- 25:38And that shift changes everything, because the heart
- 25:43can open again without ever abandoning wisdom.
- 25:52And as your mind absorbs these ideas, something important
- 25:58begins to change. The ability to receive love.
- 26:06Compliments no longer feel uncomfortable.
- 26:11Kindness no longer feel suspicious.
- 26:15Because you recognize that the people who respect you see
- 26:20something genuine in you. Someone phenomenal, someone
- 26:27amazing. Someone to admire, someone to
- 26:32appreciate. And those perspectives are not
- 26:36exaggerations. They are reflections of reality.
- 26:44A reality your mind is now ready to accept and going forward.
- 26:52Every time you hold yourself to these high standards, every time
- 26:58you communicate or enforce a boundary, every time you look at
- 27:03yourself in the mirror as someone phenomenal, amazing, as
- 27:08someone beautiful, you are becoming a role model.
- 27:16The next level of role model. You already know how to give the
- 27:21right advice. This new version of you lives in
- 27:25accordance with your own advice. You become the example of self
- 27:32love and self worth and that is a legacy.
- 27:38A legacy that will ripple through generation after
- 27:45generation to take all these wonderful feelings of
- 27:51confidence, beauty, self worth and boundaries.
- 27:55Amplify your wisdom and as all these qualities integrate, allow
- 28:02a new level of your identity to be revealed.
- 28:06Not something you try to remember, but something you
- 28:11simply are. And when when that identity is
- 28:21willing to acknowledge and accept all of these changes, let
- 28:25me know by nodding your head. Feel that ripple effect to every
- 28:41cell in your body and then see a version of you there, fast
- 28:49asleep on a beach. Step into that version of you
- 28:54integrating all of these changes.
- 29:09And now it's time to return as you take a deep breath in
- 29:14through your nose and out through your nose.
- 29:19Just wiggle your fingers, wiggle your toes, connect and calibrate
- 29:23into the here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to
- 29:30awaken you. Starting to count 123 waking up
- 29:38456 more alert 7-8. Open your eyes, open your eyes,
