Cause this is his second Halloween. 14 00:01:07,000 --> 00:01:08,000 Yeah. 15 00:01:08,000 --> 00:01:12,000 But his first one upright, basically. 16 00:01:12,000 --> 00:01:18,000 So, what did you in Mrs. Pack decide that Luke was going to be for Halloween this year? 17 00:01:18,000 --> 00:01:27,000 Luke is a, like one of the first words my son ever said was poo as in Winnie the Pooh. 18 00:01:27,000 --> 00:01:31,000 So, he will be Winnie the Pooh. This was like decided upon like over the summer. 19 00:01:31,000 --> 00:01:34,000 Like my wife bought the costume like in July. 20 00:01:34,000 --> 00:01:36,000 And I was... 21 00:01:36,000 --> 00:01:41,000 And just projected the size, like okay he should be about this size by then. 22 00:01:41,000 --> 00:01:44,000 You're lips to God's ears. 23 00:01:44,000 --> 00:01:52,000 I mean that is what I was like, are we sure this is a good idea? And we put it on him for the first time for some community event over the weekend last weekend. 24 00:01:52,000 --> 00:01:57,000 And it was, there was a couple buttons at first. I was like, oh God no. 25 00:01:57,000 --> 00:02:00,000 But he fed in it and all is well. 26 00:02:00,000 --> 00:02:04,000 So he will be Winnie the Pooh on Halloween night. 27 00:02:04,000 --> 00:02:10,000 So it'll be the first time we've actually like, we're gonna hit a couple spots, stuff like that. 28 00:02:10,000 --> 00:02:15,000 Last year was just mainly family. But yeah this will be the first real first Halloween. 29 00:02:15,000 --> 00:02:21,000 Is it trunker treats in the Connecticut area or are there still neighborhood that give out candy? 30 00:02:21,000 --> 00:02:24,000 There are trunker treats. There's a lot of them. 31 00:02:24,000 --> 00:02:28,000 It's funny you bring this up because this is gonna be like, we're gonna sound old. 32 00:02:28,000 --> 00:02:31,000 Or at least I'm gonna sound old depending on where you sit on this. 33 00:02:31,000 --> 00:02:34,000 But yeah, I mean when I was growing up I'm sure for you as well. 34 00:02:34,000 --> 00:02:38,000 Like you went out to apartment complexes, condo complexes. 35 00:02:38,000 --> 00:02:46,000 You know places that were near to one another or whatever and you have ransacked them from place number one to place number 200. 36 00:02:46,000 --> 00:02:54,000 And you filled your bags up with your pillowcases up with candy or you went to your friends houses and saw the parents, family members, what have you. 37 00:02:54,000 --> 00:02:58,000 But it was like a thing to get as much as possible in the last years. 38 00:02:58,000 --> 00:03:01,000 Yeah I feel like it's all completely gone away. 39 00:03:01,000 --> 00:03:07,000 Dr. Tray, a lot of trunker treats, a lot of community events, a lot of folks going to like center of towns. 40 00:03:07,000 --> 00:03:13,000 To have a safer Halloween. It's odd. I got to admit. 41 00:03:13,000 --> 00:03:19,000 Yeah it takes, for me that was always the joy in the mystery of the knock on the door. 42 00:03:19,000 --> 00:03:31,000 Like there was a little bit of, and I started appreciating it especially because with my range of children having, you know, having Sammy at six but having Carmen at 17 soon to be 18. 43 00:03:31,000 --> 00:03:38,000 I've been doing this now with kids for 17 years and then I remember my years growing up. 44 00:03:38,000 --> 00:03:47,000 And yeah it was like that anticipation of not only a what are you going to get when the door opens but be what is going to open the door. 45 00:03:47,000 --> 00:03:54,000 Is it going to be a person in a regular outfit? Are they going to be like to, like all of that stuff was part of the joy. 46 00:03:54,000 --> 00:04:06,000 And now it's like you roll through you like you're, you know, your church trunker treats or your neighborhood trunker treats or things like that is like they always have a theme or the, or the vehicle has a theme. 47 00:04:06,000 --> 00:04:19,000 And it's like all right it's a little bit of a let that we actually have one really good neighborhood in the next town up for me that they go all out and it's an entire community. 48 00:04:19,000 --> 00:04:25,000 Like it's, I don't want to say subdivision because that implies like newer housing development. This is an old school neighborhood. 49 00:04:25,000 --> 00:04:35,000 And for like three or four blocks easily. Everybody goes all out. But the problem is it's an old neighborhood so the roads are very, very narrow. 50 00:04:35,000 --> 00:04:42,000 So once you get in, you can't leave when you're done. You kind of have to wait for everybody else to start leaving also. 51 00:04:42,000 --> 00:04:53,000 So that's why we do it like every couple of years. But yeah, like that's like we went to we did a couple of community events this past weekend and then we have a couple of things we're doing tomorrow night. 52 00:04:53,000 --> 00:05:06,000 But it's like, yeah, like it's just the joy of the knock, the joy of what's on the other side. The joy of like is this person even home? Like, you know, like that was part of the mystery and the fun of Halloween. 53 00:05:06,000 --> 00:05:21,000 And I think in some aspects, safety I get, but you know, it was great back in the day when you were like nine, 10, 11 years old. And there was like three or four of you guys in the neighborhood that lived together and you guys would all go out together. 54 00:05:21,000 --> 00:05:31,000 And you know, that was the fun. And now it's like mom and dad got to be there. We got to go along with you. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. 55 00:05:31,000 --> 00:05:41,000 And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. 56 00:05:41,000 --> 00:05:50,000 And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. 57 00:05:50,000 --> 00:06:09,000 And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. 58 00:06:09,000 --> 00:06:38,000 And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. 59 00:06:38,000 --> 00:06:48,000 And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. 60 00:06:48,000 --> 00:06:57,000 And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. And then we got to tell the funny jokes and keep the people. 61 00:06:57,000 --> 00:07:02,940 my oldest stepson, we did Freddie from Scooby-Doo, she was Vellma and my oldest 62 00:07:02,940 --> 00:07:09,320 was Shaggy and then Sammy's like I don't want to be Scooby, I'm venom, so and then 63 00:07:09,320 --> 00:07:13,940 a couple years earlier, me and my son did Mario and Luigi and Sammy and the wife 64 00:07:13,940 --> 00:07:17,880 did Sonic and Tails, the same year so we would do those kind of group 65 00:07:17,880 --> 00:07:25,620 costumes and go out together but yeah this year Sammy is Steve from Minecraft. 66 00:07:25,620 --> 00:07:27,620 I know who that is. 67 00:07:27,620 --> 00:07:32,560 It's Jack Black in the movie, I don't really, but yeah just a guy in a blue 68 00:07:32,560 --> 00:07:38,520 shirt with blue pants and a goatee and I'm like yeah that's not nearly as 69 00:07:38,520 --> 00:07:42,120 fun as some of the other stuff so this year we're kind of playing it low-key with 70 00:07:42,120 --> 00:07:46,160 everything else going on but I never by the way I you know all the years of 71 00:07:46,160 --> 00:07:52,200 trick or treating for I'm I turn 48 in May I don't know a single person who had an 72 00:07:52,200 --> 00:07:56,360 LSD trip from a piece of Halloween candy and I'm a little disappointed in that. 73 00:07:56,360 --> 00:08:01,040 Put that on on Facebook like hey please comment below if you've had an LSD trip 74 00:08:01,040 --> 00:08:07,000 accidentally on from Halloween candy when you were a child. Yeah you know it's 75 00:08:07,000 --> 00:08:11,520 just like anything right the older we get the more we're shouting at clouds get 76 00:08:11,520 --> 00:08:14,880 off my lawn that type of stuff things have definitely changed I think there's 77 00:08:14,880 --> 00:08:20,340 probably a swath of people that's safe for the better but that was all about 78 00:08:20,340 --> 00:08:25,660 being like a kid and that's what I enjoyed doing Halloween and I'm looking forward 79 00:08:25,660 --> 00:08:30,580 to tomorrow night it's it's the the first time we really get to experience 80 00:08:30,580 --> 00:08:33,780 Halloween with our summer we're gonna go we're gonna try to go to some houses 81 00:08:33,780 --> 00:08:38,180 and because he could walk and we'll see how he does I'm sure he's gonna be very 82 00:08:38,180 --> 00:08:44,620 you know shy about it but we'll have some fun so I would say I enjoy Halloween 83 00:08:44,620 --> 00:08:49,500 yeah Dr. Troy I will say I will say one of the one of the good things about Facebook is 84 00:08:49,500 --> 00:08:54,140 those community pages where like in our in a couple of towns that I run that I'm 85 00:08:54,140 --> 00:08:58,380 in those groups on parents will ask like hey what neighborhoods are good for 86 00:08:58,380 --> 00:09:03,340 trick or treating and people will list out all those neighborhoods so if you 87 00:09:03,340 --> 00:09:07,420 want that experience I mean you you know check out your local Facebook pages for 88 00:09:07,420 --> 00:09:11,060 that stuff because like I there's about six or seven neighborhoods that've been 89 00:09:11,060 --> 00:09:17,500 listed I feel like there is a generation of parents like in our age range that 90 00:09:17,500 --> 00:09:22,860 kind of want to bring that back and are kind of wanting you know getting their 91 00:09:22,860 --> 00:09:26,940 neighbors involved and said hey if we just have one like a community block party 92 00:09:26,940 --> 00:09:31,780 and do it for Halloween we'll get people coming out here and that's the joy of 93 00:09:31,780 --> 00:09:35,020 Halloween and then we can control the safety aspect because we know everybody on 94 00:09:35,020 --> 00:09:41,020 the street so there I think there is a kind of a push to kind of bring that back 95 00:09:41,020 --> 00:09:45,900 here at some point yeah it it's it's funny how we kind of like refer back to 96 00:09:45,900 --> 00:09:53,260 things that were old-fashioned or timeless now in many aspects of life and we get 97 00:09:53,260 --> 00:09:57,980 back to that we'll we'll have to see how it goes all tomorrow night and looking 98 00:09:57,980 --> 00:10:06,420 forward to it my my wife and I like she bought a 160 piece bag of candy and I'm like 99 00:10:06,420 --> 00:10:09,780 what are we what are we doing like we're not gonna be home and she said we'll leave 100 00:10:09,780 --> 00:10:15,140 a bullet candy out for the kids I'm like that is a really bad idea why is that I 101 00:10:15,140 --> 00:10:18,340 was like because if I was that kid I would dump like three quarters of the bag into 102 00:10:18,340 --> 00:10:25,020 my my bag and then leave you know that and it's supposed to like as we record 103 00:10:25,020 --> 00:10:29,180 this I don't know if you got this in Alabama recently dr. Troy but I'm getting 104 00:10:29,180 --> 00:10:33,420 the remnants of this hurricane that struck Jamaica a couple days ago like it is 105 00:10:33,420 --> 00:10:37,300 downpouring here and it's supposed to downpour tomorrow night as well for on 106 00:10:37,300 --> 00:10:42,460 Halloween we had it the last four days which is crazy because we're in the 107 00:10:42,460 --> 00:10:45,340 process this move we were excited because I'm like man you know we do not get a 108 00:10:45,340 --> 00:10:49,960 single drop of rain the entire month of October last year and even our 109 00:10:49,960 --> 00:10:53,020 weatherman's like yeah your October is the driest month of the year in 110 00:10:53,020 --> 00:10:57,340 Alabama so we're like yes we find you know we got the fire pits up and going to 111 00:10:57,340 --> 00:11:01,000 kind of burn some of the stuff that we're getting rid of and that it is like 112 00:11:01,000 --> 00:11:08,020 since last Thursday it's rained five of the last seven days wow yeah that 113 00:11:08,020 --> 00:11:14,140 this and more on weathercast with Dr. Tray and Jeff Heck on patreon.com/srtupodcast 114 00:11:14,140 --> 00:11:18,380 so yeah enjoy Halloween we're enjoying it still going out there with our kids 115 00:11:18,380 --> 00:11:24,500 mine a little bit younger than Dr. Tray so these are the the moments that I do 116 00:11:24,500 --> 00:11:28,060 feel like is a parent doctorate that I have to like soak in a little bit and just 117 00:11:28,060 --> 00:11:30,740 kind of really enjoy because there's only so many of these right like you 118 00:11:30,740 --> 00:11:34,780 experienced it already with your daughter but like with your son like there is 119 00:11:34,780 --> 00:11:42,260 like maybe let's say 12 to 13 of these that like your child is gonna want to go 120 00:11:42,260 --> 00:11:46,700 with you on Halloween and then after that it kind of like slowly dissipates or 121 00:11:46,700 --> 00:11:51,100 maybe they go with their friends or maybe they don't go out at all or they you 122 00:11:51,100 --> 00:11:54,700 know they get older and they have parties go out to bars what have you but like 123 00:11:54,700 --> 00:11:58,100 I'm gonna try to like really enjoy this because when you really think about 124 00:11:58,100 --> 00:12:03,940 it's like 10 to 12 of these you really got as a parent yeah the upside is 125 00:12:03,940 --> 00:12:10,140 if you and the wife decide to have a sibling for Luke it actually extends in a 126 00:12:10,140 --> 00:12:14,940 little bit because like my 19 year old when he was about 12 or 13 stop dressing up 127 00:12:14,940 --> 00:12:21,340 and then the last three or four years with Sammy getting older and actually be 128 00:12:21,340 --> 00:12:25,420 able and they're and they're kind of in the same things like they both love the 129 00:12:25,420 --> 00:12:29,660 Jurassic Park dinosaur stuff they're both kind of gamers and a lot of this little 130 00:12:29,660 --> 00:12:34,940 little brother wanted to emulate big brother but now Peyton doesn't get as 131 00:12:34,940 --> 00:12:40,240 embarrassed to dress up for Halloween because Sammy's into it and he's just 132 00:12:40,240 --> 00:12:44,300 acting more like you know big brother uncle slash mode so he really enjoys it 133 00:12:44,300 --> 00:12:49,220 but I will say Jeff remember you're in your 30s if you're taking him out to 134 00:12:49,220 --> 00:12:53,700 actually go to an order where comfortable shoes oh yes yes I can't I can't go 135 00:12:53,700 --> 00:12:57,980 out there with my back and stuff like that so yeah next shall be the 4-0 so this 136 00:12:57,980 --> 00:13:02,260 is one of those last ones as well while I can still have mobility with my hips my 137 00:13:02,260 --> 00:13:06,340 knees back would have you all right so happy Halloween all enjoy it with your 138 00:13:06,340 --> 00:13:11,300 families if you if you got kid enjoy that that night and let's get into 139 00:13:11,300 --> 00:13:15,460 professional wrestling talk doctor train one of the big stories right now has 140 00:13:15,460 --> 00:13:20,580 been the choice of the Saturday nights main event World Heavyweight Championship 141 00:13:20,580 --> 00:13:25,940 match between CM Punk and J.U. so there's a lot of scuttle butt online of some of 142 00:13:25,940 --> 00:13:32,500 most disliked videos and WWE's YouTube this year were all like J.U. so videos was 143 00:13:32,500 --> 00:13:37,700 like top five or were J.U. so videos I don't understand let me first off by 144 00:13:37,700 --> 00:13:43,300 preface is by saying I don't understand the J.U. so hey I do not dislike J.U. so 145 00:13:43,300 --> 00:13:53,380 whatsoever has the like luster of him kind of fallen off a bit since earlier 146 00:13:53,380 --> 00:14:01,260 this year absolutely I think good in-ring worker amazing entrance fantastic 147 00:14:01,260 --> 00:14:08,380 charisma connects with the fan like very few do Mike skills have been like oddly 148 00:14:08,380 --> 00:14:13,260 a poor not the best it's it shocking because when you look at some of those 149 00:14:13,260 --> 00:14:19,060 usopanitentiary promos they were amazing like J.U. so was never known as 150 00:14:19,060 --> 00:14:23,500 somebody that has been like a guy that's not give you good quality promos and 151 00:14:23,500 --> 00:14:26,380 there's times that that he kind of stumbles in these things which makes you 152 00:14:26,380 --> 00:14:30,580 wonder if they're like a lack of confidence personally that he has in his 153 00:14:30,580 --> 00:14:33,580 delivery or this character that he's portraying is not something that maybe he's 154 00:14:33,580 --> 00:14:38,580 fully into nonetheless there's this this like right now for like J.U. so stuff 155 00:14:38,580 --> 00:14:43,660 and Alan I comes out Monday night raw he has the match with brawmbreaker which he 156 00:14:43,660 --> 00:14:49,740 ends up losing and he's holding a sign as he's coming out there that says we want 157 00:14:49,740 --> 00:14:54,420 LA night not J or something along those terms which was like kind of going off of 158 00:14:54,420 --> 00:14:59,140 the the stuff online which is a very small majority of wrestling fans quite 159 00:14:59,140 --> 00:15:03,860 honestly is the online stuff and he was playing in that which I was surprised but 160 00:15:03,860 --> 00:15:09,340 the more I've seen LA night over the last month and a half two months is you know 161 00:15:09,340 --> 00:15:12,420 there's a lot of a pair of comparisons to Steve Austin rock just the way that he 162 00:15:12,420 --> 00:15:15,700 carries himself coming to the ring cuts promos what have you it's an attitude 163 00:15:15,700 --> 00:15:20,940 error type character in 2025 he's heavily influenced by guys like that and I 164 00:15:20,940 --> 00:15:25,700 get it he should be those are phenomenal wrestlers nonetheless I do think 165 00:15:25,700 --> 00:15:31,780 that there's comparisons of like rock in end of summer 1998 towards end of the 166 00:15:31,780 --> 00:15:35,980 year 1998 with LA night right now when they ended up putting the championship on 167 00:15:35,980 --> 00:15:41,180 him that it just feels like we're on the precipice that in 2026 LA night is 168 00:15:41,180 --> 00:15:45,060 due for some sort of world championship run it there's a lot of discussion 169 00:15:45,060 --> 00:15:48,700 in that in his promo is he's pointing out never how the world title never heard 170 00:15:48,700 --> 00:15:52,180 the world world title never how the world title blah blah blah blah and maybe he's 171 00:15:52,180 --> 00:15:56,360 doing that to get the fans behind him if there's no real creative plans at the 172 00:15:56,360 --> 00:16:01,780 moment so I ask you this doctor tray I I think CM Punk should be in this match 173 00:16:01,780 --> 00:16:07,260 hands down no question about it J so in there is one that can be debated do you 174 00:16:07,260 --> 00:16:11,560 think WWE is missing the boat with not putting LA night into this match 175 00:16:11,560 --> 00:16:15,100 at Saturday's been about this Saturday and having him an opportunity to 176 00:16:15,100 --> 00:16:19,940 compete for the World Heavyweight Championship now because I think if you are 177 00:16:19,940 --> 00:16:25,180 going to put the belt on him you want it on a big stage because once he becomes 178 00:16:25,180 --> 00:16:30,580 your champion he does become a focal point of your of your company now he checks 179 00:16:30,580 --> 00:16:34,700 all the boxes for being a world champion he's a he's a very handsome man he's 180 00:16:34,700 --> 00:16:39,460 really good on the microphone he looks to part you have ever part of being 181 00:16:39,460 --> 00:16:43,380 world champion is like doing the rounds doing the interviews doing all the the 182 00:16:43,380 --> 00:16:49,380 Cody Rhodes John Cena stuff that they've done so well for years if you're gonna do 183 00:16:49,380 --> 00:16:55,380 it crown it on an in a in a in a spot that a is gonna have much more viewership 184 00:16:55,380 --> 00:17:01,100 so the ESPN platform has more viewers than the peacock platform I say if you're 185 00:17:01,100 --> 00:17:05,220 gonna if you are planning on making that move save it for that big stage that way 186 00:17:05,220 --> 00:17:10,220 you can make your next breakout you know your next big star like right now he's on 187 00:17:10,220 --> 00:17:17,180 the cusp of breaking through and I I I would say like if you know J. O's there 188 00:17:17,180 --> 00:17:22,260 then he's like like a slight notch below him and it really is only because of 189 00:17:22,260 --> 00:17:27,460 the one world title run J's had that separates them but if you're gonna make that 190 00:17:27,460 --> 00:17:31,660 move save it for the big stage save it for the big moment much like you did with 191 00:17:31,660 --> 00:17:36,100 J last year WrestleMania just you know I'm not saying do it at WrestleMania but 192 00:17:36,100 --> 00:17:40,900 save it for a rumble you know the Royal Rumble or save it for a big stage not 193 00:17:40,900 --> 00:17:45,540 Saturday's main event when you're gonna make that move yeah I can understand that 194 00:17:45,540 --> 00:17:52,820 right like saving it for another thing it makes sense I'm just worried that when 195 00:17:52,820 --> 00:17:59,860 you because raw brand is so wide open right now are they and I think this way as 196 00:17:59,860 --> 00:18:02,780 well and we'll talk about this in in in the next thing I want to bring up in 197 00:18:02,780 --> 00:18:06,820 regards to the Smackdown brand you know longer title reigns I'm here for like I 198 00:18:06,820 --> 00:18:10,580 love it like reigns was a great title reign Cody Rhodes is at a long title 199 00:18:10,580 --> 00:18:14,380 reign like intermittently basically now with John Cena Cody Rhodes held the 200 00:18:14,380 --> 00:18:18,460 championship for almost you know two you know a year and a half two years out of 201 00:18:18,460 --> 00:18:23,460 the last two years well long title reigns are great and helps establish some of 202 00:18:23,460 --> 00:18:28,780 the top stars in the business it does kind of hurt other wrestlers from ever 203 00:18:28,780 --> 00:18:33,700 reaching that pinnacle and it's a bunch of what ifs and I think we're at a what 204 00:18:33,700 --> 00:18:39,780 if point right now with LA night and I'm worried that the focus is going to be in 205 00:18:39,780 --> 00:18:44,660 2026 you know say punk wins and punk goes into the New Year's World of 206 00:18:44,660 --> 00:18:48,460 Way champion I think that is to eventually set up a match with Braun Breaker and 207 00:18:48,460 --> 00:18:52,780 once that match happens I would imagine the torch is past a Braun Breaker and then 208 00:18:52,780 --> 00:18:55,540 Braun Breaker is holding that championship to eventually feud with Seth 209 00:18:55,540 --> 00:18:59,980 Rollins and now we're at like let's say the six to eight month mark June July 210 00:18:59,980 --> 00:19:05,380 August in 2026 and LA night is not holding a World of Way championship you can't 211 00:19:05,380 --> 00:19:11,060 switch them back over to Smackdown and and I don't know he wrestles Cody Cody drops 212 00:19:11,060 --> 00:19:16,180 the championship what do you do with Cody it's there's a little bit of a problem 213 00:19:16,180 --> 00:19:21,740 there like I think they need to capitalize on this right now and I think there's 214 00:19:21,740 --> 00:19:27,020 a groundswell for LA night and it just I'm shocked they didn't end up just going 215 00:19:27,020 --> 00:19:31,420 into a triple threat match I know that they were kind of booked poorly into this 216 00:19:31,420 --> 00:19:37,660 but the same show where they they put the vision that they you know the vision 217 00:19:37,660 --> 00:19:41,340 turned on Seth Rollins they still ran that triple threat match like there was an 218 00:19:41,340 --> 00:19:45,500 out there and that match probably should have been the Saturday nights main event 219 00:19:45,500 --> 00:19:50,180 match rather than raw from two three weeks ago when Seth Rollins was you know 220 00:19:50,180 --> 00:19:55,300 permanently put on the shelf creatively I just feel like WWE is ultimately missing 221 00:19:55,300 --> 00:19:59,300 the boat with LA night and I don't know where the window is right now for him to 222 00:19:59,300 --> 00:20:04,780 become World of Way champion yeah but go back a couple years remember when LA 223 00:20:04,780 --> 00:20:08,620 night challenged Roman Reigns and LA night was literally still the hottest thing in 224 00:20:08,620 --> 00:20:13,100 the company and they didn't pull the trigger then and that was two and a half years 225 00:20:13,100 --> 00:20:20,580 ago and he's still there not everybody needs the championship to stay hot and 226 00:20:20,580 --> 00:20:24,900 stay on top now yes there is the J. Uso factor of like well look if we let this 227 00:20:24,900 --> 00:20:29,740 linger too on you know are the fans going to turn against him but LA night I 228 00:20:29,740 --> 00:20:34,140 think is capable of like if that's the case and you pull the trigger you can flip 229 00:20:34,140 --> 00:20:38,220 him heel one of the things we talked about last week show is just a lack of depth 230 00:20:38,220 --> 00:20:43,940 on the heel side I think one of these three guys is going to turn maybe not 231 00:20:43,940 --> 00:20:48,580 join with the vision but you got it kind of equal out like your baby faces in 232 00:20:48,580 --> 00:20:55,180 your heels I like this the raw brand kind of being I don't say the hot potato 233 00:20:55,180 --> 00:21:00,860 world title area and smack down be the long rain one but this is that's what it 234 00:21:00,860 --> 00:21:09,180 was back you know in the mid 2000's 2010 2000 you know about what 2006 about 2015 235 00:21:09,180 --> 00:21:13,540 was you smack down to you know check your guys and see if they could be a world 236 00:21:13,540 --> 00:21:17,900 champion before you move them to raw you know a lot of those guys got their first 237 00:21:17,900 --> 00:21:22,740 world title wins on the Smackdown brand and then had the better careers when they 238 00:21:22,740 --> 00:21:27,340 got to raw it could be almost the inverse of that now we're like right now 239 00:21:27,340 --> 00:21:32,020 I mean that world title has only been around three years and well four years 240 00:21:32,020 --> 00:21:36,180 nothing now and how many people have held that belt in the time that the other 241 00:21:36,180 --> 00:21:40,180 shows only had two like we're like seven eight different world champions at 242 00:21:40,180 --> 00:21:45,380 that point or world title runs I mean it's okay to not pull the trigger right 243 00:21:45,380 --> 00:21:49,740 now because you can build the anticipation a little bit longer to get to the 244 00:21:49,740 --> 00:21:53,980 big match you know if he's headlining Royal Rumble in a world title match and he 245 00:21:53,980 --> 00:21:59,020 wins and he has a pneumonia on the raw brand as your world champion that's a good 246 00:21:59,020 --> 00:22:04,780 that's a good spot to be in so because the flip side is if he wins it now do you 247 00:22:04,780 --> 00:22:08,340 take the belt off of them in two months to get to whatever you're perceived 248 00:22:08,340 --> 00:22:12,300 Royal Rumble or what WrestleMania world title matches going to be and then he's 249 00:22:12,300 --> 00:22:15,820 looked at it as a disappointing world champion so it's you kind of kind of 250 00:22:15,820 --> 00:22:20,140 balance it out of them and like what's your what's your plan for LA night in 251 00:22:20,140 --> 00:22:25,620 the next two years three years and do you want to put the belt on them now to 252 00:22:25,620 --> 00:22:30,220 take it off of them to get to punk and break or WrestleMania if that's where you 253 00:22:30,220 --> 00:22:34,900 want to go with it or do we do something else so it's it's a precarious 254 00:22:34,900 --> 00:22:38,980 situation to be in but I still think if you're gonna if you're playing on 255 00:22:38,980 --> 00:22:43,980 making night a champion and giving him a four five six month long solid run 256 00:22:43,980 --> 00:22:49,100 you still pull the trigger at a bigger stage we'll preview a Saturday and 257 00:22:49,100 --> 00:22:55,260 event here in just a moment switching gears to the blue brand doctor Trey the who 258 00:22:55,260 --> 00:23:02,060 took out Jacob Fattu storyline right now is playing on this Mac down brand it 259 00:23:02,060 --> 00:23:05,780 wasn't as prevalent as the week prior when they set the wheels in motion for 260 00:23:05,780 --> 00:23:11,660 that with Cody and Drew Brawling and taking out Jacob Fattu it was you know 261 00:23:11,660 --> 00:23:15,620 spread out a little bit and it certainly feels like there's gonna be some sort of 262 00:23:15,620 --> 00:23:20,300 payoff here at some point because your Mac at tires claiming he is not the person 263 00:23:20,300 --> 00:23:24,980 responsible for taking out Jacob Fattu so I ask you do you think this storyline is 264 00:23:24,980 --> 00:23:29,660 going to lead to a huge payoff on Smackdown could we see some sort of shake up 265 00:23:29,660 --> 00:23:33,980 creatively on Smackdown could it be Cody Rhodes was responsible I threw it out 266 00:23:33,980 --> 00:23:37,980 there threw that out there on last week's show could he potentially be turning 267 00:23:37,980 --> 00:23:42,020 he'll especially drew saying he's not responsible we know kit Wilson of pretty 268 00:23:42,020 --> 00:23:45,660 deadly witnessed it because he's in the background and I'm surprised they didn't 269 00:23:45,660 --> 00:23:51,700 capitalize on that this past week's edition of Smackdown but nonetheless is there 270 00:23:51,700 --> 00:23:54,900 going to be some sort of huge payoff do you anticipate a huge payoff or was 271 00:23:54,900 --> 00:23:59,620 this just a way to write off fought to so that it could be on the sidelines because 272 00:23:59,620 --> 00:24:05,420 he's having some sort of dental work done no I think there's a payoff because 273 00:24:05,420 --> 00:24:09,460 for all the occasions they're looking at Jacob Fattu in a lot of the ways that 274 00:24:09,460 --> 00:24:14,380 they look at Braun break like this is a future you know main event top star 275 00:24:14,380 --> 00:24:19,580 level guy like he's incredible in the ring he's good on the mic he just he looks 276 00:24:19,580 --> 00:24:25,700 you know crazy so it's like yeah this is a way to kind of build him up to make him a 277 00:24:25,700 --> 00:24:30,340 bigger star and then just kind of becomes a question of like who do you have 278 00:24:30,340 --> 00:24:35,220 be the culprit and obviously you and I are old if we don't want it to be the 279 00:24:35,220 --> 00:24:40,260 Kishi factor where it's like damn that's kind of a letdown as to who took him out 280 00:24:40,260 --> 00:24:45,060 and the reasoning is kind of a letdown like you you're hoping that that's the pay 281 00:24:45,060 --> 00:24:49,340 off it's great as soon as you mentioned kit Wilson though I immediately thought of 282 00:24:49,340 --> 00:24:56,500 Paul London before Vincent's limo blew up like you just want it to be a good pay 283 00:24:56,500 --> 00:25:00,900 off in the end and you go man remember that angle because that's what helped 284 00:25:00,900 --> 00:25:07,860 make Jacob a star I don't as much as I'd like to see the Cody heel turn it doesn't 285 00:25:07,860 --> 00:25:12,740 make much sense right now because he doesn't really outside of Drew they haven't 286 00:25:12,740 --> 00:25:17,340 really established a threat on Smackdown to kind of make it make sense for him to 287 00:25:17,340 --> 00:25:22,820 turn heels so it's it's it's the lack of heels right now in WWE's kinds of 288 00:25:22,820 --> 00:25:26,500 hurt and both of these storylines that we've been talking about yeah it's it's a 289 00:25:26,500 --> 00:25:34,180 strange time in WWE I can't tell if they are like on a good path like there's 290 00:25:34,180 --> 00:25:37,580 some good foundation work building I feel like we're starting to see a little bit 291 00:25:37,580 --> 00:25:42,580 of the build towards Ross many season oddly enough or if they're scrambling a 292 00:25:42,580 --> 00:25:48,900 little bit and trying to see what what what hits right now dr. Trey yeah it's you 293 00:25:48,900 --> 00:25:52,020 know like right now like if you're looking for like hey who's the next guy that 294 00:25:52,020 --> 00:25:56,020 we haven't really rushed like if you've gone back otherwise I would say Carmelo 295 00:25:56,020 --> 00:26:00,020 Hayes but they just turned Carmelo Hayes baby face you know Alistair Blacks tied up 296 00:26:00,020 --> 00:26:03,740 in this feud with Damien Priest so that's that's two guys that are kind of taking 297 00:26:03,740 --> 00:26:09,220 out the picture right now it's like they they in the MFT's and Sello Sikou are kind 298 00:26:09,220 --> 00:26:13,900 of tied up with the Yets so that kind of takes them out of the picture you know 299 00:26:13,900 --> 00:26:17,500 maybe it comes out that it was solo in the MFT's and that's how you end up 300 00:26:17,500 --> 00:26:21,980 getting you know Jacob back in time for war games to to group him in with the 301 00:26:21,980 --> 00:26:29,020 Yets because that be a really fun match it's just a question of like do we know 302 00:26:29,020 --> 00:26:34,420 how to book heels that don't need stables like is it is triple H kind of 303 00:26:34,420 --> 00:26:39,020 falling into his you know I would say his habits but that's what he how he was 304 00:26:39,020 --> 00:26:44,420 kind of bred up whether it was DX or you know the McImman Helmsley the 305 00:26:44,420 --> 00:26:49,060 corporation or whether it was evolution or you know is is that what he's kind of 306 00:26:49,060 --> 00:26:53,860 leaning into or you know can we just book a guy to be the ultimate bad guy I mean 307 00:26:53,860 --> 00:26:58,060 Drew's a good example of how to do it but we just don't have anybody else right 308 00:26:58,060 --> 00:27:02,700 now and that's kind of what's hurting the brand is you don't have anybody you 309 00:27:02,700 --> 00:27:08,140 actually really root against on on either show outside of maybe Drew McIntyre 310 00:27:08,140 --> 00:27:13,220 yeah it's very odd time creatively for for both the major brands there in W&A W 311 00:27:13,220 --> 00:27:17,340 like as we sit here today October 30th I've no idea and maybe W&B Creative 312 00:27:17,340 --> 00:27:22,780 doesn't either they have a working plan as to how survivor series war games is 313 00:27:22,780 --> 00:27:25,620 gonna take place the war game matches for the men and the women there's an idea 314 00:27:25,620 --> 00:27:29,580 for the men the vision would obviously be I would be shocked if they're not on one 315 00:27:29,580 --> 00:27:34,420 team part of me is like I wonder if they would do MFTs versus the Y at 6th at this 316 00:27:34,420 --> 00:27:38,940 point because that's yeah a storyline is that's grabbing a hold over on on the 317 00:27:38,940 --> 00:27:42,420 Smackdown brand is like kind of salvaging it and then on the women's side it's 318 00:27:42,420 --> 00:27:47,100 like I have no idea which way this is potentially going right now I think it's 319 00:27:47,100 --> 00:27:53,380 going to involve EO Sky real Ripley Oscar and Kyrie Sain in some way but I don't I 320 00:27:53,380 --> 00:27:58,520 don't know and same could be said on the AW side look at it a similar match 321 00:27:58,520 --> 00:28:02,700 blood and guts they just announced the men's blood and guts match on last night's 322 00:28:02,700 --> 00:28:06,740 dynamite the women's match was the challenge was put out there like three to four 323 00:28:06,740 --> 00:28:11,700 weeks ago I think a collision and we've had zero follow up whatsoever to that 324 00:28:11,700 --> 00:28:16,060 and that matches like less than two weeks away it's just very odd creative 325 00:28:16,060 --> 00:28:19,540 timing right now for both of the major or major organizations in the United States 326 00:28:19,540 --> 00:28:25,260 doctor try well if you look at it and you know growing up in the or being in this 327 00:28:25,260 --> 00:28:29,260 business for now 14 years like I'm always a big part of like you got to have 328 00:28:29,260 --> 00:28:34,460 strong eels to make strong baby faces and if you look at wrestling as a 329 00:28:34,460 --> 00:28:39,580 hole right now who's the top villain in wrestling MJF's not on TV right now 330 00:28:39,580 --> 00:28:45,740 he's filming movies and stuff Seth is out if you take Drew McIntyre how the 331 00:28:45,740 --> 00:28:51,780 equation who's the actual bad guy in pro wrestling Don Callis is that the top 332 00:28:51,780 --> 00:28:56,780 bad guy in professional wrestling right now like outside that I I I'll 333 00:28:56,780 --> 00:29:02,140 black so you know a heel but he's kind of that was a co-opted the carry and cross 334 00:29:02,140 --> 00:29:07,260 scarlet thing but they kind of have is it solo because it kind of feels like 335 00:29:07,260 --> 00:29:12,860 he's in the mid-card area right now like there's not really that top bad guy 336 00:29:12,860 --> 00:29:18,260 out there so that's why I keep expecting one of these top three or four baby 337 00:29:18,260 --> 00:29:23,020 faces is going to flip Gunther was getting cheered before he went off TV and he's 338 00:29:23,020 --> 00:29:27,860 probably due back here pretty soon to lead into the John Cena match but even 339 00:29:27,860 --> 00:29:31,820 that he was getting cheered and because people love watching him chop people so 340 00:29:31,820 --> 00:29:39,020 there's just not that top bad guy to really infuriate people to really cheer on 341 00:29:39,020 --> 00:29:44,740 the good guys hard us we're getting so many good guy good guy matches or the good 342 00:29:44,740 --> 00:29:47,860 guy just turned bad out of nowhere because he felt disrespected by the by the 343 00:29:47,860 --> 00:29:51,940 champ so it's just it's a weird time and wrestling and maybe it's Christmas and 344 00:29:51,940 --> 00:29:54,660 nobody wants to be a bad guy and get cold I don't know. 345 00:29:54,660 --> 00:29:58,700 Holliday C'sa can make for some really great stuff on television from wrestling 346 00:29:58,700 --> 00:30:02,740 companies and it could also make it like really odd as well and right now it's 347 00:30:02,740 --> 00:30:08,100 there's there's hope I will say but there's just some odd booking that's 348 00:30:08,100 --> 00:30:12,260 taking place. Let's get into Saturday Night's Main event look at the look at this 349 00:30:12,260 --> 00:30:16,020 Saturday from the Delta Center in St. Louis, excuse me Salt Lake City Utah Dr. 350 00:30:16,020 --> 00:30:20,220 Trey we've got CM Punk taking on J.U. so for the vacant World of Away Championship 351 00:30:20,220 --> 00:30:25,660 who should lead my question for you is who should lead the raw brand as champion 352 00:30:25,660 --> 00:30:31,580 coming out Saturday Night's Main event. I'm gonna go with Punk I think he needs it 353 00:30:31,580 --> 00:30:35,780 he got his world title whenever Gunther and they got cashed in on so he only got 354 00:30:35,780 --> 00:30:41,540 to fight with the the Drew McIntyre World Championship treatment on it and 355 00:30:41,540 --> 00:30:48,260 honestly I it sounds weird because I feel like he's earned it. You know I have not 356 00:30:48,260 --> 00:30:54,020 heard anybody say anything negative really about CM Punk backstage since he came 357 00:30:54,020 --> 00:31:00,020 back to WWE almost three years ago. Everybody's like Natalia's bragging about him 358 00:31:00,020 --> 00:31:03,740 coming down to the P you know coming down the PC and everybody's like what a great 359 00:31:03,740 --> 00:31:09,100 guy was people like superstars at Dodge I think it was like very darsow just 360 00:31:09,100 --> 00:31:12,820 said an interview when at the Hall of Fame how CM Punk came up to him and he was 361 00:31:12,820 --> 00:31:16,220 like oh god I've heard horrible things and was like the nicest most 362 00:31:16,220 --> 00:31:20,260 complimentary person in the world to him I'm like yeah I kind of feel like 363 00:31:20,260 --> 00:31:24,820 Punk's earned this because he's just been on his best behavior for the last three 364 00:31:24,820 --> 00:31:32,020 years. Yeah no it makes you wonder a little bit of who was that fault so yeah I'm 365 00:31:32,020 --> 00:31:35,180 with you CM Punk should be leading the raw brand as champion coming out of 366 00:31:35,180 --> 00:31:38,780 Saturday Night's Minimum and it just seems like the right thing to do and can 367 00:31:38,780 --> 00:31:43,380 bring some eyes on it heading to the holiday season. Cody Rhodes defends the 368 00:31:43,380 --> 00:31:48,540 unspeakable WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre Dr. Dre I simply ask you this 369 00:31:48,540 --> 00:31:53,700 how can you not put the title on Drew after so many times he has missed in this 370 00:31:53,700 --> 00:32:00,100 situation because they didn't do it with Kevin Owens I guess I mean how many 371 00:32:00,100 --> 00:32:03,820 shots did K.O. have? Very good one. His Roman and everything else and they never 372 00:32:03,820 --> 00:32:09,460 pulled a trigger on it and like I was saying by LA Knight some guys you want them 373 00:32:09,460 --> 00:32:14,260 to have the belt but they don't need the belt like Drew is just everybody respects 374 00:32:14,260 --> 00:32:18,620 Drew I mean as far as fans you might boo him because his character but if he 375 00:32:18,620 --> 00:32:22,620 turned baby face tomorrow we'd be on board because he's just one of the most 376 00:32:22,620 --> 00:32:27,140 entertaining pro wrestlers on the planet I'm sure he wants it because it is a level 377 00:32:27,140 --> 00:32:35,300 of respect and validation but I mean this is like his sixth shot at the belt or 378 00:32:35,300 --> 00:32:38,660 and it really good like last three years like his ninth shot the belt and he's one 379 00:32:38,660 --> 00:32:45,980 once so he kind of does deserve it as well but he doesn't need it and Cody is 380 00:32:45,980 --> 00:32:51,980 your QB1 so unless you're gonna pull the trigger and come back with Drew and Cody 381 00:32:51,980 --> 00:32:57,980 at WrestleMania and Cody's on his finish the story on his third book I don't 382 00:32:57,980 --> 00:33:01,660 know what else you do Tiffany Stratton defends the WWE Women's Championship 383 00:33:01,660 --> 00:33:05,980 against Jade Cargo Dr. Tre the new heel look for Jade Cargo maybe exactly what 384 00:33:05,980 --> 00:33:11,780 we need to see if I heard to take the next step forward in WWE yeah I think I 385 00:33:11,780 --> 00:33:17,620 feel like the superhero gimmick kind of ran its course and look J's been you 386 00:33:17,620 --> 00:33:22,460 progressing really really nicely but Jade is one of those people you want to 387 00:33:22,460 --> 00:33:29,020 hate well you kind of want to you know boo her so and Tiffany's showing she can be 388 00:33:29,020 --> 00:33:33,340 she's a better heel than a baby face but she's been a pretty solid baby face 389 00:33:33,340 --> 00:33:37,500 the last few months so I would say pull the trigger and go up with the belt on 390 00:33:37,500 --> 00:33:42,940 Jade and let her let her plead the play the envy angle where nobody's on her 391 00:33:42,940 --> 00:33:46,100 level physically and then you always come back with Bianca and Jade at 392 00:33:46,100 --> 00:33:50,820 WrestleMania was Jeff Pek predicted two years ago Dominic Mysterio defends the 393 00:33:50,820 --> 00:33:54,020 inner-cut all championship in a triple threat match against Penta and Rusev I 394 00:33:54,020 --> 00:33:58,580 expect this to be a masterclass of line cheating and stealing for dirty Dom on 395 00:33:58,580 --> 00:34:02,900 Saturday night it should be pretty entertaining if so Dr. Tre that should be a 396 00:34:02,900 --> 00:34:08,340 fun one oh this should be really really fun I see people calling Rusev a job 397 00:34:08,340 --> 00:34:13,180 or again in WWE don't like you me a break I thought Rusev's looked really strong 398 00:34:13,180 --> 00:34:16,620 since coming back and he's in the position he needs to be where you know he can 399 00:34:16,620 --> 00:34:23,860 be a mid a solid mid card heel upper main event kind of heel I actually think 400 00:34:23,860 --> 00:34:27,460 they're they might pull the trigger put the belt on Penta and build up some 401 00:34:27,460 --> 00:34:31,640 more dissension the judgment day since now they've lost all their belts and then 402 00:34:31,640 --> 00:34:34,500 Dom kind of regain it back at some point because I think we're done's had a good 403 00:34:34,500 --> 00:34:39,660 icy title run but they love putting belts on new guys for validation and Penta's 404 00:34:39,660 --> 00:34:43,780 been a copy now about nine months hasn't held a title yet so I think now be a good 405 00:34:43,780 --> 00:34:47,620 time to go have pull the trigger and put the belt on Penta WWE Saturday night's 406 00:34:47,620 --> 00:34:54,780 main event is this Saturday night on peacock peacock back on peacock I can't wait to 407 00:34:54,780 --> 00:35:00,740 not be able to go back and watch the show properly speaking of shows around 408 00:35:00,740 --> 00:35:04,060 peacocked up to three NXT Halloween havoc was this past Saturday from the 409 00:35:04,060 --> 00:35:08,060 Finley Toyota Center in Prescott Valley Arizona let me be preface by saying 410 00:35:08,060 --> 00:35:13,940 I thought this was a very solid show on Saturday night I really enjoyed it some 411 00:35:13,940 --> 00:35:17,180 quick thoughts here on each match doctor tray that I will throw it over to you 412 00:35:17,180 --> 00:35:21,380 Giovanni Evans and Leon Slater defeated Mr. Guana LaParca I thought it was a 413 00:35:21,380 --> 00:35:24,980 train wreck match just set up Evans and Slaters and ex-changes for Dark State 414 00:35:24,980 --> 00:35:29,740 not a match I enjoyed Blake Monroe defeating Zarya to win the NXT North 415 00:35:29,740 --> 00:35:33,620 women's women's North American Championship the Soul Rooka Zarya story has been 416 00:35:33,620 --> 00:35:37,740 really been bubbling up with an ice slow burn in recent months in the pay off 417 00:35:37,740 --> 00:35:41,540 looks to be coming soon what could be a huge story in early 2026 for the NXT 418 00:35:41,540 --> 00:35:47,540 brand reminds me a lot of like Gargano and Champa I love deep seated friendship 419 00:35:47,540 --> 00:35:51,220 storylines that where they eventually turn on one another and that is as the 420 00:35:51,220 --> 00:35:54,420 possibility being really good one similar to somebody else that we'll talk 421 00:35:54,420 --> 00:35:58,460 about here in just a couple matches Ethan Page defeated L.H.O. Delta 422 00:35:58,460 --> 00:36:02,380 day Dr. Wagner Jr. and the day of dead match for the NXT North American 423 00:36:02,380 --> 00:36:05,900 Championship to retain it but the match was really good and under the radar 424 00:36:05,900 --> 00:36:09,020 addition for the card Ethan Page is North American title run has been better 425 00:36:09,020 --> 00:36:13,060 than his NXT Championship run and it looks like he could translate on raw or 426 00:36:13,060 --> 00:36:16,700 smack that at some point and there was a period time I was like I don't know he's 427 00:36:16,700 --> 00:36:22,340 got to just kind of glass ceiling on NXT from a WWE viewpoint dark state defeated 428 00:36:22,340 --> 00:36:26,620 the Hardy boys in a broken rules match so we retain or win again the NXT 429 00:36:26,620 --> 00:36:30,740 tag team championship huge win for Dark State in a fun match though I wish all 430 00:36:30,740 --> 00:36:34,220 four members of Dark State did not get involved that could help cement them as a 431 00:36:34,220 --> 00:36:37,380 team after feeding the legends I would say that the hardies didn't get a longer 432 00:36:37,380 --> 00:36:41,940 on with the NXT tag titles. Tane and Paxley defeated JC J into when the NXT 433 00:36:41,940 --> 00:36:45,740 women's championship she has the potential to be a huge baby face on the NXT 434 00:36:45,740 --> 00:36:50,540 brand it could be on the midst of a breakout I think similar to Soul Rooka and Zarya 435 00:36:50,540 --> 00:36:55,540 Tane and Paxley and Izzy Dame feud will probably be bubbling up here soon 436 00:36:55,540 --> 00:36:59,420 that will be really entertaining because Izzy Dame is extremely talented as his 437 00:36:59,420 --> 00:37:03,140 Tane and Paxley props to Tane and for hanging in there the repair time I'm sure 438 00:37:03,140 --> 00:37:07,420 it was a looking good for her career and here she is now as NXT women's champion 439 00:37:07,420 --> 00:37:11,060 and then lastly Ricky Saints defeated trick Williams retain the NXT championship 440 00:37:11,060 --> 00:37:15,620 they need to give Saints a better finisher than the off the rope tornado DDT against 441 00:37:15,620 --> 00:37:18,580 big men like what are we doing I mean I talked about it last month when these 442 00:37:18,580 --> 00:37:23,900 feet of open family it did not have the same impact so there was some of my 443 00:37:23,900 --> 00:37:27,900 thoughts on NXT Halloween havoced out of tray over your thoughts and take away 444 00:37:27,900 --> 00:37:31,420 from the show this past Saturday. Yeah I'm gonna go to reverse while I see 445 00:37:31,420 --> 00:37:40,180 the Javan Evans or the Slater Evans Aguata Parker match. 446 00:37:40,180 --> 00:37:45,540 Parker La Parker I mean I can see him being on Raw or SmackDown because his 447 00:37:45,540 --> 00:37:49,700 entrance is fantastic and he's super entertaining and I don't know if Mr. 448 00:37:49,700 --> 00:37:52,980 Guwano will ever reach that level because I mean was he like basically like 449 00:37:52,980 --> 00:37:58,780 lizard soko I mean that match that was awful and I like Javan Evans I like 450 00:37:58,780 --> 00:38:04,340 Leon Slayer but once again like Slater's on a TNA contract it's weird to have 451 00:38:04,340 --> 00:38:10,860 them now be a tag team on NXT for Garth State because that guy is going to be on TNA 452 00:38:10,860 --> 00:38:15,540 and he's still the exhibition champion over there so just a bad match just in the 453 00:38:15,540 --> 00:38:19,420 styles in mesh up and I know they were trying to go for a high spot tag match and 454 00:38:19,420 --> 00:38:24,340 it just turned it was just awful. The Blakelander of Zarya stuff is interesting 455 00:38:24,340 --> 00:38:28,340 because I actually felt like it was a competitive match and you and I had talked 456 00:38:28,340 --> 00:38:33,180 about Zarya just laying down for Blake and we didn't get that so I still think 457 00:38:33,180 --> 00:38:37,940 Zarya ends up aligned with Blake Monroe at some point and that's where the Saul 458 00:38:37,940 --> 00:38:42,620 Rook and stuff comes in but with Blake Monroe having the big fanfare coming in 459 00:38:42,620 --> 00:38:46,500 and now being NXT Women's Champion or North America Women's Champion I kind of 460 00:38:46,500 --> 00:38:53,220 feel like there's a path for the AEW or TNA people to kind of follow is like hey 461 00:38:53,220 --> 00:38:56,340 we do this and then you get to here and then we move you up because we've seen 462 00:38:56,340 --> 00:39:01,380 it with Ricky Saints we've seen it with Ethan Page just now in reverse order the 463 00:39:01,380 --> 00:39:06,100 page Wagner match was really really good I love the pairing of page and Chelsea 464 00:39:06,100 --> 00:39:11,820 Green also this like Canadian alliance and everything I can see Ethan Page 465 00:39:11,820 --> 00:39:17,220 eventually taking the Miz is where the Miz is on the main roster. Miz is kind of 466 00:39:17,220 --> 00:39:24,380 winding things down Ethan Page can fill that role and be a top mid card borderline 467 00:39:24,380 --> 00:39:30,620 made of that guy Paxley and JC Jane I love that for Dan and Paxley she's been 468 00:39:30,620 --> 00:39:35,580 like my one my under the radar favorite people it's like watching if Page and 469 00:39:35,580 --> 00:39:42,340 Daphne had a baby like that's where Tatum Paxley falls in like she just her 470 00:39:42,340 --> 00:39:46,580 range of character and a range of where she can go with stuff is so well done and 471 00:39:46,580 --> 00:39:51,340 like she's an underdog baby face and she's a crazy heal like that's the best of 472 00:39:51,340 --> 00:39:55,860 both horses kind of like Alexa Bliss in some ways as well like those just 473 00:39:55,860 --> 00:40:04,780 smaller creepy crazy chicks are dynamite and then Saints and trick trick 474 00:40:04,780 --> 00:40:09,100 Williams should be a main event like it should be a top roster guy main or main 475 00:40:09,100 --> 00:40:13,640 level roster guy he's just got to get better in the ring everything else about him 476 00:40:13,640 --> 00:40:20,180 is a plus and then he's like a C in the ring and Ricky Saints I don't know what 477 00:40:20,180 --> 00:40:23,580 you do with Ricky Saints because I feel like sometimes he's a little bit 478 00:40:23,580 --> 00:40:27,420 almost he's Johnny Gargano size and we've seen Gargano struggle the main 479 00:40:27,420 --> 00:40:32,900 roster he's got a little more charisma a little more flair but dear God I that is 480 00:40:32,900 --> 00:40:38,100 the worst finisher of any top guy and we used to complain about the trick shot 481 00:40:38,100 --> 00:40:43,080 being bad but a tornado DDT which most luchadors will use in the first three 482 00:40:43,080 --> 00:40:48,020 minutes of a match is this guy's finishers like we couldn't think of anything 483 00:40:48,020 --> 00:40:52,240 better like just let him keep the spear like everybody else has a spear and they 484 00:40:52,240 --> 00:40:56,580 finished matches with that J's using it for crying out loud it's kind of like 485 00:40:56,580 --> 00:40:59,420 when you see a guy all of a sudden go and do a super kick for a finisher now 486 00:40:59,420 --> 00:41:04,140 you're like it's been bastardized to death that it doesn't seem believable 487 00:41:04,140 --> 00:41:07,660 when it ends a match and you just kind of think was that supposed to be the 488 00:41:07,660 --> 00:41:12,780 finisher we screw up so that was kind of overall I'll say how and have it solid 489 00:41:12,780 --> 00:41:17,100 card solid show but there are some things that we definitely need to work on 490 00:41:17,100 --> 00:41:25,060 with that brand. Yeah it's they're an interesting time it's always like 491 00:41:25,060 --> 00:41:29,900 transitional it feels like for NXT at periods of time and you always I think 492 00:41:29,900 --> 00:41:35,500 we're so at least I am I should say I am so regiment that when somebody loses 493 00:41:35,500 --> 00:41:38,660 like an oboe famiom like up well that's it they're getting called up finally yeah 494 00:41:38,660 --> 00:41:44,580 and then it never happens I'm really enjoying NXT show the show I think it's a 495 00:41:44,580 --> 00:41:48,900 really fun brand and it's kind of refound its identity over the last several 496 00:41:48,900 --> 00:41:55,020 years but yeah I don't know I don't know it's it's interesting I feel like 497 00:41:55,020 --> 00:41:58,820 Ricky Saints is in the same spot Ethan Page was a couple months ago when he was 498 00:41:58,820 --> 00:42:03,620 NXT champion or even longer now I should say for Ethan Page were like a year ago 499 00:42:03,620 --> 00:42:06,780 I think it was where it was like I don't know if Ethan Page is gonna work out in 500 00:42:06,780 --> 00:42:11,060 WWE I kind of have those thoughts right now with Ricky Saints and it's it's 501 00:42:11,060 --> 00:42:16,100 similar and now I absolutely really think Ethan Page will translate well on 502 00:42:16,100 --> 00:42:20,580 Rons back to that but I'm with you it's like Ricky Saints given a spirit of 503 00:42:20,580 --> 00:42:24,580 trick Williams like it shouldn't be laying him out like it just doesn't look 504 00:42:24,580 --> 00:42:28,780 well and and I'm a big fan of trick I like the aggressiveness with his character 505 00:42:28,780 --> 00:42:35,540 over the last six months I liked the segments from Starks and or Saints and 506 00:42:35,540 --> 00:42:41,660 trick Williams on on Tuesday's NXT although those were really good and show that 507 00:42:41,660 --> 00:42:45,500 they really don't like each other but yeah there's some there's some room for 508 00:42:45,500 --> 00:42:51,160 improvement there I would say Dr. Try. Yeah I think NXT and we've seen this we 509 00:42:51,160 --> 00:42:56,020 Zama Braun Breaker we see some other people were like okay they're really good in 510 00:42:56,020 --> 00:43:00,740 this role let's see how much flexibility they have let's try them on the other 511 00:43:00,740 --> 00:43:05,860 side and let's see if that works in that plays and a lot of times it's like okay 512 00:43:05,860 --> 00:43:11,740 we're seeing like you know trick we've seen strong baby face strong heel you know we 513 00:43:11,740 --> 00:43:15,060 haven't seen we didn't really see Ethan Page play the baby face side by I think 514 00:43:15,060 --> 00:43:19,900 they just look I'm gonna you you have that face that moms want a punch so you're 515 00:43:19,900 --> 00:43:24,800 just typecast as a heel but they do I mean we see what's hate impacts Lee we're 516 00:43:24,800 --> 00:43:28,780 seeing it was Zarya now whereas kind of like let's play let's start to play 517 00:43:28,780 --> 00:43:33,460 both sides in that way we kind of know when you come the main roster we know 518 00:43:33,460 --> 00:43:37,980 where we can kind of put you at we've seen with Fallen Henley found was a was a 519 00:43:37,980 --> 00:43:42,100 really was a decent good bait like in the Mickey James mold a baby face and we've 520 00:43:42,100 --> 00:43:46,740 seen her with fatal influence like okay she can play that narcissistic heel so I 521 00:43:46,740 --> 00:43:51,420 think that's where like you guys like us now we remember the old black and 522 00:43:51,420 --> 00:43:54,060 gold we're like okay that guy lost and he was a champ for a while he's getting 523 00:43:54,060 --> 00:43:58,420 moved up and now we've kind of seen it over the last you know a couple of years 524 00:43:58,420 --> 00:44:01,700 is like they get a good run they get a good push they hit the top of the mountain 525 00:44:01,700 --> 00:44:07,140 they lose let's reset it back and see if you can do it again on the other side of 526 00:44:07,140 --> 00:44:11,100 defense and see if it works because then we know you're a well-rounded character 527 00:44:11,100 --> 00:44:16,460 or well-rounded individual and we can use you fresh on the main roster in any of 528 00:44:16,460 --> 00:44:21,380 these roles and so I think on one hand it gets frustrating if you're following 529 00:44:21,380 --> 00:44:25,660 it like you would a normal wrestling show but as much as they don't want to 530 00:44:25,660 --> 00:44:30,140 say it's developmental it is developmental so like we're trying stuff out and we're 531 00:44:30,140 --> 00:44:34,100 seeing what kind of range some of you folks have going back to an earlier point 532 00:44:34,100 --> 00:44:38,140 that I had where it was like I kind of feel like the confidence in J. U. so when 533 00:44:38,140 --> 00:44:41,660 he's cut in promos isn't there right now I felt the same way about Ethan Page when 534 00:44:41,660 --> 00:44:45,780 he was NXT champion and I kind of feel that I feel like he's found his confidence 535 00:44:45,780 --> 00:44:50,060 now but I also feel that way presently with Ricky Sains like I'm getting the 536 00:44:50,060 --> 00:44:54,100 vibe that he's not as confident in himself and his characters he's been when 537 00:44:54,100 --> 00:44:58,580 he's like an AW in top of the world there yeah I think it's the the the 538 00:44:58,580 --> 00:45:02,900 differences with Jay I think Jay's issue is when Jay was you brought a good point 539 00:45:02,900 --> 00:45:08,220 earlier with the Usos when you're vibing with your brother and you can fire off 540 00:45:08,220 --> 00:45:12,620 stuff off top of your head rapidly it's fine but when you're when you're the 541 00:45:12,620 --> 00:45:16,940 focal point you've got usually have to slow down your speech a little bit and I 542 00:45:16,940 --> 00:45:22,700 think Jay's brain runs really fast and then he gets caught up with what he actually 543 00:45:22,700 --> 00:45:27,580 wants to say and that's why he cuts doubles I think Ricky's issue is Ricky's 544 00:45:27,580 --> 00:45:32,580 never been a baby face like even even when he was an AW he was still like that 545 00:45:32,580 --> 00:45:39,060 really super cocky and it's it's hard to be a baby face and actually believe that 546 00:45:39,060 --> 00:45:43,620 the people are cheering you because of you and not because of how much they hate 547 00:45:43,620 --> 00:45:49,260 the other guy so it's always really tricky until you go nope I've got this and 548 00:45:49,260 --> 00:45:53,660 Ricky's really with the baby face stuff it's just been Ethan Page and Trick Williams 549 00:45:53,660 --> 00:45:58,060 you know those of the two guys he's really worked off of and those guys are 550 00:45:58,060 --> 00:46:03,580 phenomenal eels so he might be struggling with are people really cheering me 551 00:46:03,580 --> 00:46:07,780 because they like me or they cheering me because they've hated these other guys 552 00:46:07,780 --> 00:46:11,940 so much that they cheer me because of them and that's where that lack of 553 00:46:11,940 --> 00:46:16,760 confidence can kind of come into play when you're a baby face last let's switch 554 00:46:16,760 --> 00:46:21,620 gears here to all elite wrestling doctor tre I think it was on a recent 555 00:46:21,620 --> 00:46:24,400 episode of collision I don't think it was the most recent one a few week prior 556 00:46:24,400 --> 00:46:29,520 Kylo Riley and John Moxley have a match and I just felt like okay this is the 557 00:46:29,520 --> 00:46:32,240 match that's gonna be with John Moxley where he got to get back on the winning 558 00:46:32,240 --> 00:46:37,080 path you know Kylo Riley from R.O.H. Champion at one time looked like he was 559 00:46:37,080 --> 00:46:41,880 gonna be the face of the NXT brand he was he was really kind of climbing the 560 00:46:41,880 --> 00:46:47,640 the ladder there in WWE and then triple H was gone and then Vince was taking 561 00:46:47,640 --> 00:46:56,400 over and Kylo left and went to AW and you know Kylo is just kind of like been 562 00:46:56,400 --> 00:47:01,480 meddling in the mid card for the most part on AW for this entire time like doing 563 00:47:01,480 --> 00:47:09,520 Paragon doing undisputed elite then doing what was they what were they the 564 00:47:09,520 --> 00:47:14,480 kingdom the undisputed kingdom then he's been doing the conglomeration so just 565 00:47:14,480 --> 00:47:17,280 figure out this is gonna be a good probably good solid match Moxley will win 566 00:47:17,280 --> 00:47:20,820 get back on the winning ways coming off the match with Darby Allen at 567 00:47:20,820 --> 00:47:26,920 wrestle dream and then the like Kylo is getting a ton of offense in and it leads to 568 00:47:26,920 --> 00:47:31,040 John Moxley looking like he's about to tap out and he takes out the referee to 569 00:47:31,040 --> 00:47:35,720 get a disqualification Kylo Riley wins that way they have a follow-up match this 570 00:47:35,720 --> 00:47:40,800 past Wednesday night last night on dynamite and it's another competitive match where 571 00:47:40,800 --> 00:47:48,020 Kylo is holding his own with one of the most if not the most top AW wrestlers 572 00:47:48,020 --> 00:47:52,880 ever like I don't know if there's anybody even close to Moxley and how 573 00:47:52,880 --> 00:47:58,680 important he has been to the NXT roster are actually the AW roster like probably 574 00:47:58,680 --> 00:48:05,400 the most impactful top AW star since its inception and that match goes to a double 575 00:48:05,400 --> 00:48:11,440 disqualification on the outside where Kylo has him in a choke hold again and is 576 00:48:11,440 --> 00:48:16,640 you know Moxley looks like he's on the verge of passing out what is what do you 577 00:48:16,640 --> 00:48:20,760 take from like Kylo Riley being booked very strong against John Moxley here and 578 00:48:20,760 --> 00:48:25,500 back-to-back matches because this is this is pretty interesting do what do you 579 00:48:25,500 --> 00:48:30,600 think is the payoff is their payoff are they just making Kylo look strong 580 00:48:30,600 --> 00:48:34,280 towards the blood and guts match taking place in two weeks it is gonna be 581 00:48:34,280 --> 00:48:37,640 involved with I've been really shocked by this pleasantly surprised happy for 582 00:48:37,640 --> 00:48:41,320 Kylo Riley but you can't sit here and say oh I saw this coming because this has 583 00:48:41,320 --> 00:48:46,120 been completely like out of nowhere the Kylo Riley is being booked very strong against 584 00:48:46,120 --> 00:48:51,800 John Moxley not to try yeah it's your answer to your question is yes it's it's a 585 00:48:51,800 --> 00:48:54,880 little bit of all those things and then also the fact that Kyle's healthy again I 586 00:48:54,880 --> 00:49:00,320 mean he was out for over a year with that last injury had so I think a little 587 00:49:00,320 --> 00:49:08,240 bit is like hey Kyle's back he's strong he's not hurt people it's a reminder of 588 00:49:08,240 --> 00:49:12,920 how strong the end of that NXT run was when people were cheering for Kyle against 589 00:49:12,920 --> 00:49:17,320 you know Adam Cole and everybody else before everybody left the company and 590 00:49:17,320 --> 00:49:22,520 in your eye like he's kind of never really found a home because you know we 591 00:49:22,520 --> 00:49:28,760 expected you know him and Bobby fish to kind of be the the anchors of the tag team 592 00:49:28,760 --> 00:49:33,080 division then fish left and it kind of became Kyle and Roderick by default with 593 00:49:33,080 --> 00:49:38,040 Adam Cole and then Cole goes out it's like oh crap we need another strong singles 594 00:49:38,040 --> 00:49:42,800 guy so I think it's respect to Kyle for everything he's done and wrestling over 595 00:49:42,800 --> 00:49:49,040 the last you know 15 years and then also you need strong bait if you're using 596 00:49:49,040 --> 00:49:54,800 you know the deathwriters in blood and guts you know Mox is like the top guy and 597 00:49:54,800 --> 00:50:01,760 really even though Darby just got a win over him I don't know if people put him on 598 00:50:01,760 --> 00:50:05,720 that same respect level so you need to kind of build the other team up really 599 00:50:05,720 --> 00:50:13,520 really strong just to counteract the John Moxley leverage in that match so I think 600 00:50:13,520 --> 00:50:17,920 it's kind of positioning in respect for for Kyle to kind of make this blood and 601 00:50:17,920 --> 00:50:21,520 guts match good and then everything he's done for the last you know 15 years 602 00:50:21,520 --> 00:50:25,560 yet does this feel like this is Moxley like paying respect to Kyle like Kyle 603 00:50:25,560 --> 00:50:30,600 O'Reilly is no slouch I mean he has been a prominent figure in professional 604 00:50:30,600 --> 00:50:36,600 wrestling for the last 16 17 years like when I was going R08 shows in 2009 Kyle 605 00:50:36,600 --> 00:50:42,720 started getting on the scene there teaming with Adam Cole doing that I forget 606 00:50:42,720 --> 00:50:47,280 what their tag team was named back then but then he was it wasn't the red dragon 607 00:50:47,280 --> 00:50:53,360 no that was with Bobby fish okay it was I'll look it up there in just a second but 608 00:50:53,360 --> 00:50:58,320 he he was with Davey Richards for a while he got to run his R.O.H. World Champion 609 00:50:58,320 --> 00:51:03,120 like but he's just kind of been like this meddling not even upper mid-card 610 00:51:03,120 --> 00:51:06,800 there's just been kind of like a mid-card the best you know he made it was upper 611 00:51:06,800 --> 00:51:11,260 mid-card nearly in or you can make the case for the main event several times in 612 00:51:11,260 --> 00:51:16,120 NXT but I'm like I'm watching these matches and Moxley does not do this for 613 00:51:16,120 --> 00:51:20,040 anyone it's it's very few and far between and I just hope that they are making 614 00:51:20,040 --> 00:51:25,000 Kyle O'Reilly star that there is a simply a payoff to this not to try and I also 615 00:51:25,000 --> 00:51:31,040 hope it's not as a favor to Adam Cole Adam being out like you know we've seen 616 00:51:31,040 --> 00:51:34,840 that before like we saw a Christian Christians a prime example like Edges 617 00:51:34,840 --> 00:51:39,400 World Champion Christians not on his level Eddry tires all of a sudden let's 618 00:51:39,400 --> 00:51:45,640 let's move his partner up we saw it even I hate to say but even with you know 619 00:51:45,640 --> 00:51:49,960 Eddie Garan Chavo and after Eddie passed away we abandoned the Kerwin white 620 00:51:49,960 --> 00:51:55,680 gimmick and they gave Chavo run as ECW World Champion as a favor you know or to 621 00:51:55,680 --> 00:52:01,720 pay respect to the other person I really hope this is just AW and Moxley 622 00:52:01,720 --> 00:52:06,560 recognizing the talent of Kyle O'Reilly I mean if you want a fantastic match to 623 00:52:06,560 --> 00:52:10,440 watch go back and watch that Fletcher O'Reilly match from a couple months ago 624 00:52:10,440 --> 00:52:15,520 or about a month and a half two months ago I think that's kind of what re-introduced 625 00:52:15,520 --> 00:52:21,400 the AEW audience to how good Kyle O'Reilly is and maybe it gave Mox a little bit 626 00:52:21,400 --> 00:52:27,560 of leverage to say hey let's do blood and guts with the conglomeration and tie all 627 00:52:27,560 --> 00:52:32,200 these people in together and let's build Kyle up because Kyle's a he's a main 628 00:52:32,200 --> 00:52:37,660 event in ring talent now promo work hasn't always been the best I think it's much 629 00:52:37,660 --> 00:52:42,720 better now than it was five ten years ago but Kyle O'Reilly is a guy that you can 630 00:52:42,720 --> 00:52:47,440 actually put in the upper mid-car lower main event picture and it be credible 631 00:52:47,440 --> 00:52:52,880 because of how damn good he is in the ring yeah no I'm happy for Kyle and I really 632 00:52:52,880 --> 00:52:56,080 hope it it does pay off to something here and that's always the thing with 633 00:52:56,080 --> 00:53:00,560 creative and and wrestling as a whole it's like you get invested in this you see 634 00:53:00,560 --> 00:53:04,400 people start climbing the ladder whether it be LA night or Kyle O'Reilly and it's 635 00:53:04,400 --> 00:53:07,520 like you want to see a payoff here and hopefully it does pay off for Kyle O'Reilly 636 00:53:07,520 --> 00:53:12,240 NAW it's just been like really surprising and a welcome addition and nice to see 637 00:53:12,240 --> 00:53:16,520 so really good stuff there for Kyle O'Reilly and everything that's he's how he's 638 00:53:16,520 --> 00:53:21,560 being booked right now gets Sean
