- 1:01Speaker 1: is here.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Usually I get about ten to fifteen minute break between
- 1:04Speaker 3: tape and my real America's Voice TV show, The Root
- 1:06Speaker 3: Reaction in this one. That show will air tonight at

- 1:35Speaker 3: Wayne's TV show? It's there at the top of root
- 1:38Speaker 3: for America dot com. How do I listen to Wayne's
- 1:41Speaker 3: radio show or Wayne's podcast, It's there at the top
- 1:44Speaker 3: of root for America dot com. Trump's campaign announced that
- 1:49Speaker 3: the garbage truck, the Trump campaign garbage truck that he
- 1:53Speaker 3: wrote in with the with the garbage truck outfit garbageman outfit,
- 1:57Speaker 3: will be included in his inauguration taper. I just think
- 2:01Speaker 3: I think that's hilarious. A Trump branded garbage truck. Remember
- 2:05Speaker 3: Joe Biden called Trump supporters garbage. And by the way,
- 2:09Speaker 3: I sent a text to President Trump and said, you
- 2:11Speaker 3: should put on a garbage man's outfit and do a
- 2:14Speaker 3: TV commercial on the back of a garbage truck. And
- 2:16Speaker 3: the next thing you know, he's got a garbage vest
- 2:18Speaker 3: on and he's riding in a garbage truck.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So I don't know if it was me or one
- 2:22Speaker 1: hundred other.
- 2:23Speaker 3: People gained the idea at the same time, but either way,
- 2:25Speaker 3: it was a great idea and it worked and he
- 2:27Speaker 3: won the presidency.
- 2:28Speaker 1: And he also worked in a McDonald's.
- 2:30Speaker 3: He handed out fries and burgers to people at the
- 2:33Speaker 3: drive through window it was a brilliant campaign. So many
- 2:36Speaker 3: things went on that are great highlights that you'll always remember,
- 2:40Speaker 3: and I'll always remember that nobody else ever, did you know,
- 2:43Speaker 3: We all thought Reagan was great, right, But Reagan never
- 2:46Speaker 3: wrote a garbage truck with a garbage man's outfit, and
- 2:48Speaker 3: Reagan never handed out fries and hamburgers at a McDonald's.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I mean, these were some of the most incredible campaign
- 2:55Speaker 3: stunts in the history of the world.
- 2:57Speaker 1: And by the way, I predicted it all.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I wrote the book Approuvals, and I said, this guy
- 3:02Speaker 3: does anything.
- 3:03Speaker 1: To brand and to market and to promote.
- 3:05Speaker 3: And to sell, and he's creative. And I wrote the book.
- 3:10Speaker 3: It came out in November, late November of twenty twenty,
- 3:15Speaker 3: which was after the election, after he'd already lost, and
- 3:18Speaker 3: he was complaining about losing, and he called it rigged
- 3:21Speaker 3: and stolen, and the world called him a criybebby and
- 3:23Speaker 3: a liar and a fraud. And then January sixth happened,
- 3:26Speaker 3: and he was an insurrectionist and he was going to
- 3:28Speaker 3: be arrested and he was going to be indicted, and
- 3:30Speaker 3: he was going to lose his fortune, and everybody was
- 3:33Speaker 3: down on Trump and I never thought you'd ever hear
- 3:35Speaker 3: from him again. And I went on book tour with
- 3:37Speaker 3: a book about a guy who I'm calling the ultimate
- 3:40Speaker 3: winner in the history of the world. Of any human
- 3:42Speaker 3: being in world history, Trump was the biggest winner. And
- 3:44Speaker 3: he's a loser, and he's turned himself into a loser
- 3:47Speaker 3: according to the media, and he's unpopular.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Everyone hates him. And I'm on book tour talking about
- 3:52Speaker 1: the book at.
- 3:52Speaker 3: The wrong time, in the wrong place. I said, Trump's
- 3:55Speaker 3: the comeback kid. He's going to be the greatest comeback
- 3:56Speaker 3: kid of all time. He's going to win the presidency
- 3:58Speaker 3: in twenty twenty four, will be president again. He will
- 4:01Speaker 3: be more popular and more rich than he's ever been
- 4:05Speaker 3: in his life.
- 4:06Speaker 1: And I turned out to be right about everything, very proud.
- 4:09Speaker 3: And that was the point of Trump rules, that if
- 4:11Speaker 3: you follow Trump's rules, anything can happen, and you can
- 4:14Speaker 3: make the impossible possible.
- 4:16Speaker 1: And that's what Trump has done.
- 4:17Speaker 3: And by the way, I've done it, because the book
- 4:19Speaker 3: was a failure because of the timing when it came out,
- 4:22Speaker 3: and now it just got picked up and it's expected
- 4:25Speaker 3: to be the number one book in Indonesia, the fourth
- 4:28Speaker 3: biggest country in the world, the biggest Muslim population in
- 4:31Speaker 3: the world, by the way, and two hundred million people.
- 4:34Speaker 3: And it's being released next month in February. It's renamed
- 4:38Speaker 3: Trump Rules of Success The Story of the Greatest Comeback
- 4:42Speaker 3: Kid of All Time by Wayne Allen rut in Indonesia.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I mean, come on, I've turned my book into one
- 4:50Speaker 3: of the great comebacks of all time.
- 4:52Speaker 1: So it's not easy to do.
- 4:54Speaker 3: But if you follow the Trump Rules, you can make
- 4:56Speaker 3: anything possible. By the way, Trump said, let's buy Greenland,
- 5:00Speaker 3: and everybody laughed at him, and everyone mocked him, and
- 5:02Speaker 3: the liberals said, what an idiot, and the people in
- 5:06Speaker 3: charge of Greenland are and how saying let's negotiate, let's
- 5:08Speaker 3: talk about it.
- 5:09Speaker 1: We're open to hearing what you have to say.
- 5:11Speaker 3: And the latest poll of the people of Greenland shows
- 5:14Speaker 3: the vast majority want to become Americans.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Why wouldn't they Why would they not?
- 5:20Speaker 3: Why wouldn't you want to be an American instead of
- 5:21Speaker 3: a green Landian?
- 5:23Speaker 1: Is that what they call themselves? I don't even know.
- 5:26Speaker 1: You know, if your Cuba, you're a Cuban.
- 5:27Speaker 3: If you're Venezuela and you're Venezuelan, my guess is if
- 5:30Speaker 3: you're from Greenland, you're a green Landian.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Why would anyone.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Want to be a green Landian when you could be
- 5:34Speaker 3: an American so or a green Landian slash America. Was
- 5:40Speaker 3: it African American green Landing and slash American?
- 5:44Speaker 1: So Trump is gonna you know, there's a shot here
- 5:46Speaker 1: to make the impossible possible.
- 5:47Speaker 3: And if you think he's going to stop at Greenland,
- 5:50Speaker 3: you got another thing coming. I'm sure he's going to
- 5:52Speaker 3: go get back to Panama Canal. They're saying they'll never
- 5:55Speaker 3: let it happen in Panama. Well, good luck to you,
- 5:57Speaker 3: because Trump's a bull in a china shop. He will
- 5:59Speaker 3: run you down and flatten you like a pancake. We're
- 6:03Speaker 3: getting the Panama Canal back. Come hook or crook, one
- 6:05Speaker 3: way or the other. Trump says things, and that was
- 6:08Speaker 3: part of the rules of my book. There's no such
- 6:10Speaker 3: thing as aiming too high. You have to always aim
- 6:13Speaker 3: for the stars. You have to aim for the stars.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Most people aim for the curb. What's the point of winning.
- 6:21Speaker 3: If you aim for the curb, you're just gonna wine.
- 6:24Speaker 3: And if you miss, by the way, you don't even
- 6:25Speaker 3: wind up in the curb. You wind up in the
- 6:27Speaker 3: sewer if you miss the curb.
- 6:29Speaker 1: But if you aim for the.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Stars and you miss, you wind up on the moon.
- 6:33Speaker 3: So Trump says, aim for the stars, aim for the sky,
- 6:37Speaker 3: and we're gonna have Greenland. We're gonna have Panama. I
- 6:39Speaker 3: don't think we'll get Canada, but it could lead to
- 6:41Speaker 3: us getting Alberta. I've always said, long before Trump, that
- 6:45Speaker 3: Alberta would make the natural fifty first state. And it's
- 6:48Speaker 3: perfect and it aligns with us. The people there love America.
- 6:51Speaker 3: They're patriotic, they're conservative. They may be Canadians, but they're
- 6:55Speaker 3: very conservative. It's the most conservative province in Canada. And
- 6:59Speaker 3: I guess Garante you they didn't vote for Justin Trudeau,
- 7:02Speaker 3: and I guarantee you they'd make great Americans. And their
- 7:06Speaker 3: province is filled with oil and rare earth minerals and
- 7:09Speaker 3: all kinds of natural resources.
- 7:11Speaker 1: It's rich in natural resource.
- 7:13Speaker 3: I'd love to make Alberta the fifty first state, and
- 7:16Speaker 3: that would be again, by aiming to take over Canada,
- 7:19Speaker 3: at least you get Alberta. By aiming to take over Greenland.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Maybe we will and the impossible will happen, or maybe
- 7:26Speaker 3: we won't, but Greenland will say, hey, if you pay
- 7:30Speaker 3: us enough money, we're not going to become America, but
- 7:33Speaker 3: we'll allow you to build a new military base on Greenland,
- 7:36Speaker 3: will allow you to add twenty thousand American soldiers here,
- 7:39Speaker 3: which will protect against any sort of Chinese thoughts of
- 7:43Speaker 3: taking over Greenland. So I mean, when you start the
- 7:46Speaker 3: conversation and aim high, you never know where it will lead.
- 7:49Speaker 3: And that's one of Trump's philosophies. And I wrote about
- 7:52Speaker 3: it in the book and in my life it's come true,
- 7:55Speaker 3: you know. Not only with my book Trump Rules, that
- 7:57Speaker 3: was a failure and now it's going to be success
- 8:00Speaker 3: again and it's out in America again. But I'm going
- 8:03Speaker 3: to re release a new version of it with new
- 8:05Speaker 3: updated chapters, which I just wrote for Indonesia. But I think,
- 8:10Speaker 3: also with my career, who's ever heard of a guy who,
- 8:13Speaker 3: at the age of twenty six, twenty seven, twenty eight
- 8:16Speaker 3: is a national TV anchorman and host and then thirty
- 8:21Speaker 3: years later does it again? Does anyone ever do that
- 8:25Speaker 3: in TV? Thirty years later you pick up and start
- 8:29Speaker 3: again with a TV career, and I wind up on
- 8:31Speaker 3: Newsmax TV. I think technically twenty seven years later, I
- 8:34Speaker 3: wind up as a political host. I was a sports
- 8:37Speaker 3: host in my twenties, a political host in my late fifties,
- 8:42Speaker 3: and then I get fired at newsmaxs TV. My career
- 8:45Speaker 3: is over right. Nope, that's not what I think The
- 8:47Speaker 3: average person thoughts so, but not me. I figured most
- 8:50Speaker 3: people thought I'd just be a radio guy the rest
- 8:52Speaker 3: of my life. I kept fighting to get back on
- 8:54Speaker 3: TV and got fired in twenty twenty by Newsmax. And
- 8:59Speaker 3: by twenty twenty two I've got America's Top ten Countdown
- 9:02Speaker 3: on Real America's Voice TV, and by twenty twenty three,
- 9:04Speaker 3: I've got the Root Reaction and now I've got my
- 9:07Speaker 3: Frank Speech Show. I've got three TV shows at the
- 9:10Speaker 3: age of sixty three going on sixty four years old.
- 9:15Speaker 3: I mean, only with the Trump roles could you achieve
- 9:17Speaker 3: something like that? You know, to dream big and believe,
- 9:20Speaker 3: and I dream big and believed. Nobody ever says, you
- 9:23Speaker 3: know what, I'm not on TV anymore. I'm gonna get
- 9:25Speaker 3: back in the game at sixty one, sixty two, sixty
- 9:28Speaker 3: three years old, and I did it, so, you know,
- 9:31Speaker 3: pretty amazing stuff. And then another dream of mine is
- 9:35Speaker 3: that Trump would become the greatest president would become recognized
- 9:39Speaker 3: as the greatest president ever, bar Nunn, George Washington, Fdr Lincoln,
- 9:45Speaker 3: the greatest president ever.
- 9:46Speaker 1: How would that happen.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Well, it wouldn't be just because he won this miraculous
- 9:51Speaker 3: landslide victory against all odds, with the whole world against him.
- 9:54Speaker 3: It wouldn't be from that, because that doesn't make you
- 9:56Speaker 3: the most popular president ever. That doesn't make you surpass
- 9:58Speaker 3: George Washington.
- 10:00Speaker 1: I'll tell you that.
- 10:00Speaker 3: What would make him surpass George Washington if he got
- 10:03Speaker 3: rid of the IRS and income taxes. And I was
- 10:06Speaker 3: about to write that column, and you've all heard me
- 10:09Speaker 3: talk about it, so it's not new. I've always said
- 10:11Speaker 3: the only way he could become the greatest president ever
- 10:14Speaker 3: would be if he eliminated the IRS, if he closed
- 10:17Speaker 3: it down and got rid of income taxes in the
- 10:20Speaker 3: United States. And sure enough, just in today, Trump announces
- 10:23Speaker 3: the formation instead of the IRS, the Internal Revenue Service.
- 10:28Speaker 3: He's creating the External Revenue Service, the ERS, to collect
- 10:32Speaker 3: tariffs and potentially abolish income taxes collected by the IRS.
- 10:38Speaker 1: That was just today.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Trump announced the statement he will create an ERS, an
- 10:43Speaker 3: external revenue service to counter the IRS taxation of American citizens.
- 10:48Speaker 3: The new agency will collect our tariff's duties in all
- 10:51Speaker 3: revenue that come from foreign sources.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Trump says.
- 10:57Speaker 3: His inauguration will be the birthdate of the External Revenue Service.
- 11:01Speaker 3: So it says, for for too long, we've relied on
- 11:03Speaker 3: taxing our great people using the IRS. Now we can
- 11:07Speaker 3: tax the rest of the world with tariffs and collect
- 11:10Speaker 3: it with the ERS. And so it's unclear what he
- 11:13Speaker 3: plans to do with the IRS upon taking office, but
- 11:17Speaker 3: Trump's Department of Government Efficiency co head Elon Musk has
- 11:20Speaker 3: said he will turn the tables on the organization and
- 11:22Speaker 3: audit the IRS.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I hope we can get rid of the IRS.
- 11:25Speaker 3: That's what we have to do, is get rid of
- 11:27Speaker 3: the IRS forever. And before you tell me it can't
- 11:31Speaker 3: be done. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. There is
- 11:33Speaker 3: no state income tax, and our state is thriving. And
- 11:36Speaker 3: Florida has no state income tax. They're thriving. Tennessee is thriving,
- 11:40Speaker 3: no state income tax. Texas is thriving, no state income tax.
- 11:43Speaker 3: We got to get rid of income tax in the
- 11:45Speaker 3: United States. Trump doesn't. He's the greatest president ever. We'll
- 11:48Speaker 3: be right back, Wayne Ry.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Wayne Allen Root here victory.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Trump won and we know it, but I'm still feeling
- 11:55Speaker 3: something very bad and frightening in the pit of my stomach.
- 11:57Speaker 3: I don't believe for a second the radical leftist running
- 12:00Speaker 3: our government will accept Trump's victory or agree to leave peacefully.
- 12:03Speaker 3: They have weeks to cause trouble until Inauguration Day. That's
- 12:06Speaker 3: why everyone needs to own an insurance policy. Gold Advantage
- 12:09Speaker 3: Goal was awarded number one gold company in America by

- 15:06Speaker 3: What's happened in LA I saw the mostly recent Rasmusen poll.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Seventy five percent of Democrats believe it's from climate change.
- 15:14Speaker 3: And I'm telling you they're mentally ill people. There's something
- 15:17Speaker 3: mentally wrong with them. Am I saying that there's no
- 15:21Speaker 3: part climate change play in US? No, that's not true.
- 15:24Speaker 3: I admit there's a terrible drought on the West coast
- 15:27Speaker 3: of the United States. I live in Vegas. I'm well
- 15:29Speaker 3: aware there's a drought. There hasn't been a drop of
- 15:31Speaker 3: rain in Vegas since this summer. I mean there is
- 15:34Speaker 3: a drop of rain September, October, November, December, January. So
- 15:38Speaker 3: there's obviously a bad drought that's been going on for
- 15:41Speaker 3: about ten years, and it's really intensified in the last
- 15:45Speaker 3: few months. But this has happened since the beginning of time,
- 15:48Speaker 3: right since the beginning of time.
- 15:50Speaker 1: There are wet years, there are dry years.
- 15:51Speaker 3: There are wet periods, there are dry periods, there are
- 15:54Speaker 3: colder periods, there are warmer periods. That doesn't mean you're
- 15:57Speaker 3: entering in ice age or global warming. It means it's
- 15:59Speaker 3: a warmer decade versus a colder decade. And if you
- 16:03Speaker 3: got hysterical and overreacted to it, you would shut down
- 16:08Speaker 3: all the industry in the United States. We'd all go
- 16:10Speaker 3: back to living like you know, like the people of
- 16:12Speaker 3: Gaza with candles and donkey carts, or the people of
- 16:15Speaker 3: Cuba or Haiti.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Venezuela now used to be.
- 16:19Speaker 3: One of the richest nations in the world, the richest
- 16:21Speaker 3: in South America. Now they've got candles and donkey carts.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Everybody who adopts socialism and communism winds up with candles
- 16:29Speaker 3: and donkey carts. Oh and jail cells where you spend
- 16:32Speaker 3: the rest of your life for darry to try and
- 16:34Speaker 3: make some money.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I mean, it's that simple.
- 16:37Speaker 3: If you want communism, your your family is gonna be
- 16:41Speaker 3: all their money's gonna be stolen from them, or you're
- 16:43Speaker 3: gonna be murdered, or you're gonna be sent to a
- 16:45Speaker 3: re education camp, or you'll be tortured.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You know, they'll put electric prods on your penis good luck.
- 16:52Speaker 3: If you're in a communist re education camp, that's gonna
- 16:55Speaker 3: be your life. Why does nobody know this. Why do
- 16:58Speaker 3: young people not know this. That's called communism.
- 17:02Speaker 1: That's what they do.
- 17:03Speaker 3: They murdered tens of millions of people in the twentieth century.
- 17:11Speaker 3: In the nineteen hundreds, they murdered I think ninety five
- 17:14Speaker 3: million people in communist countries for trying to, you know,
- 17:18Speaker 3: disagree with communism, disagree with the government. And that's kind
- 17:22Speaker 3: of people. We've had an office here in America. You
- 17:25Speaker 3: don't realize, I'm not exaggerating. We were one step away
- 17:27Speaker 3: from Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Zimbabwe.
- 17:34Speaker 1: We were one step away. The election of Kamalo would
- 17:36Speaker 1: have iced it.
- 17:36Speaker 3: That would have been it would have been a one
- 17:38Speaker 3: party a state, which means one party country, and we
- 17:43Speaker 3: would be a communist country and there'd be nobody to
- 17:46Speaker 3: ever fight with them again. And they'd come and knock
- 17:48Speaker 3: on your door in the middle of the night and
- 17:50Speaker 3: pull Wayne Root out FBI swat raid.
- 17:52Speaker 1: They try and murder people, you know, like they did
- 17:56Speaker 1: with Steve Bannon and.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Roger Stone and Peter Navarro and Donald Trump with the
- 18:03Speaker 3: raid on mar A Lago.
- 18:04Speaker 1: And the mugshot.
- 18:05Speaker 3: This is what they do in communist countries and They
- 18:09Speaker 3: also make you in mandatory that you've got to take
- 18:13Speaker 3: an experimental vaccine that may kill you. And we did
- 18:17Speaker 3: that in America and in the Blue States they had
- 18:20Speaker 3: vaccine passports.
- 18:22Speaker 1: They didn't have them in the Las Vegas where I live.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Thank God.
- 18:26Speaker 3: You know, the power that I've got is pretty cool,
- 18:28Speaker 3: because I said on the radio, the first restaurant in
- 18:31Speaker 3: Las Vegas that tries to keep me out because I'm
- 18:33Speaker 3: not vaccinated, I will bring ten thousand of my fans
- 18:37Speaker 3: to your door and we will shut you down.
- 18:40Speaker 1: We'll stay there for.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Five days till you're out of business. No one's getting
- 18:43Speaker 3: in your restaurant ever again. And not one restaurant in
- 18:46Speaker 3: Vegas ever did, to my knowledge ever, did a vaccine passport.
- 18:50Speaker 1: And how did they know.
- 18:51Speaker 3: I was telling the truth because I called a gigantic
- 18:53Speaker 3: rally to reopen the Vegas economy, and ten thousand people
- 18:56Speaker 3: showed up, thousands and thousands of cars and ten thousand people.
- 19:00Speaker 1: We estimated by looking at the crowd size.
- 19:02Speaker 3: It took three hours just to get out of the
- 19:05Speaker 3: biggest parking lot in Las Vegas. Because we had thousands
- 19:08Speaker 3: and thousands of cars with Trump flags and American flags
- 19:11Speaker 3: and we dominated the Vegas trip for three hours, and
- 19:15Speaker 3: I said, you try this, you try and do a
- 19:17Speaker 3: vaccine passport, I will shut your restaurant down and I
- 19:19Speaker 3: will put you out of business. So it never happened
- 19:23Speaker 3: in Las Vegas. But in Blue States it happened all
- 19:25Speaker 3: the time. You had to show proof of vaccination to
- 19:28Speaker 3: walk in a store for a very short while, thank
- 19:31Speaker 3: god only. But when I talk about the insanity of
- 19:36Speaker 3: the left, LA Mayor Karen Bass appointed a deputy mayor
- 19:41Speaker 3: who oversaw the fire department, and he was put on
- 19:44Speaker 3: leave over an alleged city hall bomb threat. Deputy Mayor
- 19:48Speaker 3: Brian Williams was likely the source. The LA Police Department
- 19:52Speaker 3: said at the time of a bomb threat. Oh my god,
- 19:56Speaker 3: the FBI raided his home. There's an FBI raided the
- 20:00Speaker 3: It's deserved.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Wow wow wow wow wow.
- 20:03Speaker 3: All right, let's talk about the sponsor of this show.
- 20:05Speaker 3: Liberals are really crazy people. Sponsor of this show is

- 21:54Speaker 1: All right, way now it is. It's on fire. You know.
- 21:58Speaker 3: The sponsor of our show is Advanta Gold. And I
- 22:00Speaker 3: always tell people that it's wealth insurance. You don't want
- 22:03Speaker 3: to leave the house for that. Health insurance, without car insurance,
- 22:06Speaker 3: without life insurance for your family. Everyone wants home insurance
- 22:10Speaker 3: for their homes. Look at the fires in La Boy,
- 22:12Speaker 3: you gotta have home insurance. God forbid the worst happens.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I think you need wealth insurance. If the stock markets crash,
- 22:17Speaker 3: if the dollar crashes, if the economy crashes, if the
- 22:20Speaker 3: world collapses, you need gold. And throughout thousands of years
- 22:24Speaker 3: of history, it's always been gold. But it's also a
- 22:27Speaker 3: valuable investment. It's not just insurance, because insurance you spend
- 22:30Speaker 3: money and it's gone.
- 22:32Speaker 1: But this one goes up, or so it seems.
- 22:34Speaker 3: From January two thousand to just ended December of twenty four,
- 22:40Speaker 3: the Dow was up almost three hundred percent.
- 22:42Speaker 1: The S and p was up over three hundred percent.
- 22:44Speaker 3: The Nasdaq sword three hundred and eighty percent, but gold
- 22:47Speaker 3: skyrocketed eight hundred and twenty five percent.
- 22:50Speaker 1: If you put one hundred grand in January of.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Two thousand into gold, it would have turned into about
- 22:54Speaker 3: nine hundred and twenty five thousand dollars.
- 22:58Speaker 1: So here we have a great company. Advantage.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Gold awarded number one gold company in America by trust
- 23:03Speaker 3: Link nine years in a row.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Over a billion.

- 23:50Speaker 3: of Wayne Allen Root, a good man and a man
- 23:52Speaker 3: whose house, thank god, was not lost in the Los
- 23:55Speaker 3: Angeles fires, but his neighborhood is shut down and he's
- 23:57Speaker 3: out of his house for a week now and has
- 23:59Speaker 3: no idea when they're going to let them back. In
- 24:02Speaker 3: very bad situation in La James Breslow, Welcome to the show.
- 24:05Speaker 2: How are you anybody?
- 24:07Speaker 5: Well, don't feel too bad for me because I got
- 24:09Speaker 5: evacuated to the happiest place on Earth. I took my
- 24:12Speaker 5: family to Disneyland during evacuation because I got to put
- 24:16Speaker 5: a smile on my three year old's face, who keeps
- 24:18Speaker 5: asking me about her house and what's going on with
- 24:21Speaker 5: her house.
- 24:23Speaker 3: I know when you told me. First of all, my
- 24:24Speaker 3: producer Andrew said, you were at Disneyland. So thank you
- 24:27Speaker 3: for taking time with your family at Disneyland to be
- 24:30Speaker 3: in our show.
- 24:30Speaker 1: You're a good man. Did you have dogs or cats?
- 24:33Speaker 1: What if people do have pets in those houses?
- 24:37Speaker 5: Well, you know, you had a limited amount of time
- 24:40Speaker 5: to prepare to exit, and most people got out. And
- 24:43Speaker 5: that's why you're not hearing about a lot of deaths,
- 24:45Speaker 5: because you know there was plenty of warm warning. You
- 24:47Speaker 5: didn't need to watch TV to have the warning. You
- 24:49Speaker 5: could see it and smell it and so on. So
- 24:52Speaker 5: you know, most people who evacuated their pets. My sad story.
- 24:55Speaker 5: It sounds silly compared to what else happened. But I
- 24:58Speaker 5: had a pretty darn nice saltwater fish tank, and when
- 25:03Speaker 5: I went back to check on my house, it did
- 25:05Speaker 5: not look pretty.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Yeah, everything dies.
- 25:10Speaker 5: Very quickly, isn't that funny?
- 25:11Speaker 3: You and I have known each other for a while now,
- 25:14Speaker 3: and we're very much like each other. You and I
- 25:17Speaker 3: could have been brothers from another mother, as they say.
- 25:20Speaker 3: And back in nineteen ninety three, I lived in Malibu
- 25:24Speaker 3: and I had the most beautiful saltwater fish tank, and
- 25:27Speaker 3: I love those fish. And in the ninety three fire,
- 25:30Speaker 3: I was out of town for a week. You know,
- 25:32Speaker 3: they wouldn't let me back in for a week, just
- 25:35Speaker 3: like you. When I came back in, every house around
- 25:37Speaker 3: me had burned to the ground except mine. All the
- 25:40Speaker 3: houses opposite me on the other side of Pch burned
- 25:42Speaker 3: to the ground. I was on the ocean side, but
- 25:45Speaker 3: all my saltwater fish were lying upside down in the
- 25:48Speaker 3: in the fish tank. They were all dead because without power,
- 25:51Speaker 3: they all you know, they all die. The fish tank
- 25:52Speaker 3: doesn't work. So yeah, I remember that exact scene all
- 25:56Speaker 3: the way back from nineteen ninety three, the same thing
- 25:59Speaker 3: happened to me, James.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Yeah, there's there's so many sad stories of those being
- 26:03Speaker 5: the least of them. But yeah, there was an incredible
- 26:06Speaker 5: saltwater tank at the Real In Restaurant restaurant that burned
- 26:11Speaker 5: to the ground. That that tank was the inspiration for
- 26:13Speaker 5: me getting my tank. I got the same guys that
- 26:15Speaker 5: put that together. But a gorgeous tank wiped out among
- 26:19Speaker 5: tons and tons of other things on something that should
- 26:22Speaker 5: never have happened. And it's just a very very sad
- 26:25Speaker 5: time for the city. And I've got friends who simply
- 26:29Speaker 5: are not gonna return. They're just set up with everything,
- 26:33Speaker 5: and you know, frankly, living in the area that I
- 26:36Speaker 5: was in is not going to be the most fun
- 26:38Speaker 5: area to live in. The last note, There's so many
- 26:41Speaker 5: angles to this, but I thought of one of them,
- 26:43Speaker 5: and that is insurance. Because I heard your ad most
- 26:46Speaker 5: people are under insured. I was, as it turns out,
- 26:50Speaker 5: way under insured. The cost of building right now before
- 26:53Speaker 5: the fire twelve hundred dollars a square foot in Pacific
- 26:56Speaker 5: palisps and short I was s like four hundred to
- 27:01Speaker 5: square foot. Yeah, I would have literally been out a
- 27:03Speaker 5: million and a half.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Dollars destruction costs.
- 27:06Speaker 5: Yeah, try to build my place. And most people are
- 27:09Speaker 5: in that boat.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Yeah. I tweeted that out the other day.
- 27:13Speaker 3: I said, you know people who's who have either lost
- 27:15Speaker 3: their homes or now they are you know, their house survived,
- 27:19Speaker 3: but they're going to be in that you know, that
- 27:20Speaker 3: zone where all of this happened for the next ten years.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Number one, non stop construction.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Noise, and the streets filled with construction trucks and traffic jams.
- 27:30Speaker 3: But if your house was lost, I said, you will
- 27:33Speaker 3: never get fire insurance again. You may not ever get
- 27:36Speaker 3: approval to rebuild from the Coastal Commission. But if you
- 27:39Speaker 3: do rebuild, it's going to be ten times more than
- 27:41Speaker 3: your insurance policy. But you're never gonna get another insurance
- 27:44Speaker 3: policy because who's going to ever allow fire insurance in
- 27:47Speaker 3: LA ever again in these fire prone areas, you know,
- 27:50Speaker 3: So it's it's a bad story all the way around,
- 27:52Speaker 3: you know. You know what else I thought of James
- 27:54Speaker 3: Prop thirteen, Make sure that you don't pay high property
- 27:58Speaker 3: tax in California. But if if you rebuild your house
- 28:01Speaker 3: after a fire, it resets as a new house and
- 28:05Speaker 3: you have to pay the new hire property taxes.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Did you know that?
- 28:09Speaker 5: Well, I think you make a good point, and I
- 28:12Speaker 5: think you're probably right. I did an addition to my
- 28:14Speaker 5: home and that did.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Change my property and value.
- 28:18Speaker 5: Yeah, you said it all the way, but no, I
- 28:20Speaker 5: think you are onto something. And one other wrinkle to
- 28:22Speaker 5: put on that to the extent that you're looking for
- 28:25Speaker 5: people to develop, you know, because a lot of people,
- 28:27Speaker 5: like you said, are not going to be able to
- 28:28Speaker 5: afford to develop their own house. They're going to sell, right.
- 28:30Speaker 5: But developers are not going to be interested in investing
- 28:33Speaker 5: because we have this new mansion tax quote unquote, which
- 28:37Speaker 5: taxes you at five and a half percent on the
- 28:40Speaker 5: gross proceeds of the sale of your house in the
- 28:43Speaker 5: city of Los Angeles. Not net not profitability, doesn't care
- 28:47Speaker 5: what your mortgage is. Bottom line, you sell a house
- 28:50Speaker 5: for ten million, or any properity for that matter, you're
- 28:52Speaker 5: paying five hundred and fifty thousand dollars tax. That's essentially
- 28:54Speaker 5: like a thirty percent of the profit for a developer.
- 28:57Speaker 5: Nobody's developing in La right, now, and so how are
- 29:00Speaker 5: you going to get developers in with that ridiculous tax
- 29:02Speaker 5: in place to come into LA and rebuild the city?
- 29:05Speaker 1: Right?
- 29:06Speaker 3: And how are you gonna ever if your house burns
- 29:07Speaker 3: to the ground, how are you going to sell it?
- 29:09Speaker 1: You know, how you're gonna.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Sell the plot if you don't want to rebuild, but
- 29:11Speaker 3: you have to sell the land. Who's gonna buy it?
- 29:13Speaker 3: Knowing all these things? Or if your house survived, who
- 29:16Speaker 3: And you want to move to Vegas as an example,
- 29:18Speaker 3: which is a good viable option, by the way, how
- 29:20Speaker 3: would you sell your house? The next person is going
- 29:22Speaker 3: to want to low ball you or they're not going
- 29:24Speaker 3: to buy it. So it's a lot of problems, it
- 29:27Speaker 3: really is. I think a lot of people are going
- 29:29Speaker 3: to move to Las Vegas, by the way. I think
- 29:31Speaker 3: that's going to be the main place they all go.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Even if you intend to rebuild in LA, it's gonna
- 29:37Speaker 3: be years before you get the permits. So I think
- 29:39Speaker 3: it makes sense to buy a new house in Vegas
- 29:42Speaker 3: and stay here until you rebuild.
- 29:45Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, if you can leave, you will leave.
- 29:48Speaker 5: You know, I'm likely relocating to d C because I'm
- 29:52Speaker 5: hoping to be working in the next administration. So I'm
- 29:54Speaker 5: just gonna go ahead and take an apartment there now.
- 29:56Speaker 5: And I know a lot of people that are that
- 29:58Speaker 5: are looking at places outside of Los Angeles. For those
- 30:00Speaker 5: who are looking in Los Angeles, you're looking at you know, skyrocketing,
- 30:05Speaker 5: you know, lease prices. So because like finding anything in
- 30:09Speaker 5: the Santa Monica area right now. To an agent who
- 30:12Speaker 5: contacted me and said, hey, he literally has one hundred
- 30:15Speaker 5: clients he's working on behalf of right now trying to relocate,
- 30:18Speaker 5: what's funny?
- 30:19Speaker 1: Gosh, oh my god, it's just a terrible situation. I
- 30:22Speaker 1: don't know what do you do if you say.
- 30:24Speaker 3: All right, well me and my family will will rent
- 30:26Speaker 3: while I stay at my friend's house or my sister's house,
- 30:29Speaker 3: and then it's like, there's no rentals.
- 30:31Speaker 1: Where are you gonna go? You know?
- 30:33Speaker 3: I think Las Vegas is the answer, that's the only
- 30:36Speaker 3: obvious answer is Las Vegas. What are your thoughts on
- 30:39Speaker 3: how this has all been mishandled Because everyone knew that
- 30:43Speaker 3: a windstorm was coming, and everyone knows that firestorms happened
- 30:47Speaker 3: all the time in Malibu and that area of California,
- 30:51Speaker 3: the Santa Monica Mountains. This was not a big surprise.
- 30:54Speaker 3: How is it handled? In your opinion, James Well, I wrote.
- 30:57Speaker 5: A piece for the California Globe. Anybody that cancerch it
- 31:00Speaker 5: online said, I live in Pacific Couacees and I know
- 31:03Speaker 5: who started this fire. And what I say is it
- 31:06Speaker 5: was the homeless that started this fire. The homeless start
- 31:08Speaker 5: over fifty percent of the fires in Los Angeles fourteen
- 31:12Speaker 5: thousand fires total in twenty twenty three, according to the
- 31:15Speaker 5: LA Fire Department. We may very well learn that this
- 31:18Speaker 5: one was started by homeless also, But whether it was
- 31:20Speaker 5: or was not, it was the city leaders being obsessed
- 31:24Speaker 5: with this homeless issue that they created by allowing people
- 31:29Speaker 5: to camp on the streets. No other cities allow this.
- 31:31Speaker 5: We allow you to literally camp anywhere you want, beach parks, sidewalks,
- 31:36Speaker 5: and so on. And in our solution to getting the
- 31:38Speaker 5: people to stop doing it is to provide housing for them.
- 31:42Speaker 5: So we spend over two billion dollars a year the
- 31:44Speaker 5: city does to build or buy housing for the homeless.
- 31:48Speaker 5: My city council person says she spends eighty percent of
- 31:50Speaker 5: her time thinking and working on the homeless issue with
- 31:55Speaker 5: basically no solution, and site it only gets worse as
- 31:57Speaker 5: they continue to do that in the meantime, cut our
- 32:00Speaker 5: fire department budget by seventeen billion when we spend over
- 32:03Speaker 5: two billion for housing for the homeless. So that's why
- 32:08Speaker 5: they're distracted. That's why they're not focused on the essential
- 32:11Speaker 5: needs of the community. Fire safety, roads, schools, the things
- 32:16Speaker 5: that most Angelinos care about. That's not their focus streams.
- 32:23Speaker 3: It's a sad thing to say. I don't want to
- 32:24Speaker 3: say anything bad, but a lot of people are saying.
- 32:26Speaker 3: I'll say other people are saying to me that in
- 32:29Speaker 3: La they got what they deserved because they voted for
- 32:31Speaker 3: Karen Bass. This never could have happened with Caruso, the
- 32:34Speaker 3: Conservative Republican, as your businessman, as your mayor, it wouldn't
- 32:39Speaker 3: have happened. But the people of La voted for Karen Bass,

- 34:41Speaker 3: our government will accept Trump's victory or agree to leave peacefully.
- 34:44Speaker 3: They have weeks to cause trouble until Inauguration Day. That's

- 36:45Speaker 3: I'll state it again, at the risk of repeating myself,
- 36:49Speaker 3: I am just so glad. I decided twenty three years
- 36:52Speaker 3: ago to leave Los Angeles. And you might say, well, Wayne,
- 36:55Speaker 3: that was a long time ago, there's no connection.
- 36:56Speaker 1: To the fire. Not true.
- 36:58Speaker 3: I did leave LA twenty three years ago mostly because
- 37:01Speaker 3: I wanted zero taxes. In Las Vegas, we have zero
- 37:06Speaker 3: state income tax and much lower property taxes than California.
- 37:10Speaker 3: So that was the main driver of my leaving, along
- 37:13Speaker 3: with too many liberals. I couldn't stand every party I
- 37:15Speaker 3: went to. Everybody was a liberal here in Vegas. I
- 37:17Speaker 3: know we still vote, you know, kind of even it's
- 37:20Speaker 3: a purple state, but man, every party I go to,
- 37:22Speaker 3: everybody's a Republican conservative. So in Los Angeles there is
- 37:27Speaker 3: no such thing. Every party you go to, everyone's a liberal.
- 37:29Speaker 3: It's just a completely blue state, whereas here it's divided
- 37:33Speaker 3: fifty to fifty. But all the people that you know
- 37:35Speaker 3: that work for a living and pay taxes into the
- 37:37Speaker 3: system and own a business, they're all Republicans.
- 37:40Speaker 1: So everywhere I go, I mean, it's really amazing, amazing.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Every restaurant in Las Vegas, they all listen to my
- 37:46Speaker 3: radio show and watch my TV show. Every waiter, every host,
- 37:51Speaker 3: every hostess, every manager, every general manager, every owner of
- 37:55Speaker 3: every restaurant I go to is a huge weight root fan.
- 37:58Speaker 3: When I walk in, it's like, you know, Superman just
- 38:00Speaker 3: walked in the door. That wouldn't happen in Los Angeles,
- 38:03Speaker 3: there's no way. But here every waiter is a Republican,
- 38:06Speaker 3: a Trump Republican. So it's a very different place. So
- 38:09Speaker 3: I left for that reason. But in the back of
- 38:12Speaker 3: my mind there was a third reason I left besides
- 38:16Speaker 3: liberals and taxes, and that was that I had been
- 38:19Speaker 3: through several wildfires, and one of them horrendous that you
- 38:23Speaker 3: should have burnt my house to the ground, and I
- 38:25Speaker 3: almost lost it. And then I went through a terrible
- 38:28Speaker 3: wildfire accually me a terrible mud slide, and I went
- 38:32Speaker 3: through the ninety I think it was the ninety four earthquake,
- 38:35Speaker 3: a bad earthquake, the north Ridge earthquake.
- 38:37Speaker 1: I think that was ninety four.
- 38:39Speaker 3: So in a one year period, I went from the
- 38:42Speaker 3: worst fire ninety three, to the worst mudslide early ninety four,
- 38:45Speaker 3: to the worst earthquake, which I think was late I
- 38:49Speaker 3: think fall of ninety four, I think, or winter of
- 38:51Speaker 3: ninety four, can't really remember anymore.
- 38:52Speaker 1: It was a lot of years.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Ago, but in a one year period, three awful natural disasters,
- 38:58Speaker 3: and I started to think about making a move to
- 39:01Speaker 3: Las Vegas because I never wanted to live through that again,
- 39:04Speaker 3: and I just felt like I'd gotten lucky. I'd lived
- 39:07Speaker 3: through I think it was six wildfires, and one of
- 39:10Speaker 3: them really really bad and really close, and I may
- 39:14Speaker 3: not survive the seventh one because I'm not going to evacuate.
- 39:17Speaker 3: I will stay home and fight the fire. And of
- 39:19Speaker 3: course you can die that way. You can also save
- 39:21Speaker 3: your house that way. That's the only way you can
- 39:23Speaker 3: save your house. If the firemen don't defend your house,
- 39:26Speaker 3: you're screwed. And if you defend it, there's a chance
- 39:30Speaker 3: your house will survive.
- 39:31Speaker 1: But there's a chance you could die.
- 39:32Speaker 3: If the fire is bad enough, a giant, giant flame
- 39:36Speaker 3: hundred feet high, you know, kind of way a wave
- 39:39Speaker 3: comes over your house, you're dead. So I just had
- 39:42Speaker 3: this feeling I got to get out of there. And
- 39:44Speaker 3: I also knew the big one one day would come,
- 39:46Speaker 3: and it's way overdue. The biggest earthquake is overdue, and
- 39:51Speaker 3: so look, I wanted to get out of there, and
- 39:56Speaker 3: I had deep down, I just felt like natural disaster
- 39:59Speaker 3: was coming. And it didn't for a lot of years,
- 40:02Speaker 3: but all of a sudden, in twenty eighteen, my house
- 40:04Speaker 3: that i'd lived in burnt to the ground. There was
- 40:06Speaker 3: a terrible fire called the Woolsey Fire in the Malibu
- 40:11Speaker 3: and my house burned to the ground. So if I'd stayed,
- 40:14Speaker 3: my house had be gone, and then I would have
- 40:16Speaker 3: rebuilt and it would have gone again.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Just now.
- 40:20Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, my original house, the one
- 40:22Speaker 3: I had before, the one on the top of the
- 40:24Speaker 3: mountain in Trancas, the one on the beach, burnt to
- 40:27Speaker 3: the ground in this fire.
- 40:29Speaker 1: So all my houses burned to the ground.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Now, so and the big one still hasn't hit, The
- 40:34Speaker 3: big earthquake still has not hit God forbid that comes
- 40:39Speaker 3: soon thereafter. And after every bad fire, there is a
- 40:42Speaker 3: terrible mudslide as soon as rainy season starts, which is
- 40:46Speaker 3: usually February March, so you could almost expect. Usually the
- 40:49Speaker 3: fires are September, October, November, and then the floods and
- 40:53Speaker 3: mudslides are February, March April.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Well, if the rains do come in.
- 40:57Speaker 3: February, March or April, there will be a terrible mudslide
- 41:01Speaker 3: in all these areas that have been denuded of plants.
- 41:04Speaker 1: So I avoided all of that.
- 41:06Speaker 3: And if your house happens to survive, like James Breslo,
- 41:09Speaker 3: my past guest, well then you still are in a
- 41:12Speaker 3: nightmare because you're out of your house for maybe two weeks,
- 41:15Speaker 3: you're not working for two weeks, your career is stalled,
- 41:18Speaker 3: your kids are scared, everyone is upset. You're living in
- 41:21Speaker 3: a hotel room or at a friend's house, in a
- 41:24Speaker 3: basement somewhere.
- 41:26Speaker 1: And that's if your house.
- 41:28Speaker 3: Survives, and you're not gonna ever get fire insurance again,
- 41:31Speaker 3: and you're gonna be living around construction and ugly burned
- 41:34Speaker 3: out houses for the next years to come, and it's
- 41:37Speaker 3: just a nightmare.
- 41:38Speaker 1: There's nothing good that can come to this.
- 41:40Speaker 3: All your shopping has burnt to the ground, all your
- 41:42Speaker 3: restaurants have burnt the ground. Everyone you know is scattered
- 41:45Speaker 3: to the wind, and they live in different places. It's
- 41:48Speaker 3: a nightmare. Even if your house survives, but you know,
- 41:52Speaker 3: and if it doesn't, it really is a nightmare. I
- 41:54Speaker 3: don't know how you're ever gonna rebuild in California. Who
- 41:57Speaker 3: would want to rebuild in California. I would just sell
- 41:59Speaker 3: the lake and moved to Las Vegas, which is what
- 42:03Speaker 3: I think a lot of people are gonna do. They're
- 42:04Speaker 3: gonna throw their hats, you know, into the wind, and say,
- 42:07Speaker 3: I'm done with this crap. I'm done with California. I'm
- 42:10Speaker 3: done with the Liberals. I'm done with the Coastal Commission.
- 42:13Speaker 3: I'm done with DEI. I'm done with a mayor who
- 42:15Speaker 3: cares more about Africa than me and my city.
- 42:19Speaker 1: It's a joke. I'm done with a lesbian fire chief that.
- 42:24Speaker 3: I'm not gonna say it. I'll get in trouble. I'm
- 42:25Speaker 3: gonna say anything more. I'm done with DEI. People that
- 42:28Speaker 3: just aren't smart enough to do the job, and they
- 42:30Speaker 3: got hired because of their sexual orientation or their race.
- 42:36Speaker 3: The sponsor of this show is Score Blue, because even
