- 1:15Go meander about the link tree site and see what suits you
- 1:20there in ways that you can support this podcast.
- 1:22This channel, what we do here, it's greatly appreciated.
- 1:26Today's guest is somebody who has Come to find out been
- 1:31watching this podcast for several years now.
- 1:34So that's really cool to know that, you know, we've retained
- 1:38some interest for more than just a little while so.
- 1:42And we also featured this guests question or topic of discussion
- 1:48on a previous episode. This is this this person's
- 1:52request or topic is the reason why we talked about Loki against
- 1:55or recently here on the channel and on the podcast.
- 1:57So Morgan is going to be coming on. here today to talk about her
- 2:03work through a business that she's Yes we call it business,
- 2:08you know, project business but a Druids luck is Morgan's brand
- 2:12and they're going to be launching an Etsy store here
- 2:15soon. There's going to be all kinds of
- 2:17information for you to follow Morgan on her socials and
- 2:21anything that's available at the time of this podcast being aired
- 2:25is going to be linked down in the description and show notes
- 2:27of this podcast as well. So do be sure to check that out
- 2:31follow along so support Morgan and what she does but really fun
- 2:36episode 2. today, this this topic is when I think that we
- 2:40can all relate to, you know, this is a topic that we can all
- 2:45find some Some impact with talking about burnout, dealing
- 2:51with burnout, not getting burnt out or are we, are we going to
- 2:57talk about not being burnt out? Or are we just going to, you
- 3:01know, embrace the fact that burnout does happen, guys.
- 3:07Ladies and gentlemen, it does happen.
- 3:09You know, this isn't a thing that I don't think this is
- 3:13really a thing that we can, ultimately avoid.
- 3:15I mean, even, even in the things that were most Passionate about
- 3:18sometimes we just get tired and we don't want to do it.
- 3:23So we're going to talk about it. We're going to ramble on about
- 3:25today, amongst other things. I'm sure, as the nature of the
- 3:28podcast goes, it's a rambling and it's random at times, but
- 3:33there is a method to the madness.
- 3:34I know Morgan has been dwelling on this topic for a while now,
- 3:39since we set this up, you know, probably about a month or so
- 3:43ago. So there's definitely plenty of
- 3:47time. For, for her.
- 3:48And I to kind of think about the Platt the, you know, the, the
- 3:53layout the platform, but the layout, but again, it's a random
- 3:57rambling. So we just kind of have a loose,
- 4:00kind of like that old thing in the pirates of the cab of
- 4:02Caribbean where Barbosa and Jack Sparrow or talking about the
- 4:08code, the Pirates Code, you know, More like guidelines
- 4:14really? This is more like a guideline.
- 4:18Do you know? This is some topics that we want
- 4:19to talk about being burnt out, dealing with burnt out on but
- 4:23there's other stuff that you're going to be exposed to here not
- 4:28in a bad way. So please stick around for the
- 4:30whole episode. There's a lot of cool things
- 4:31that are going to be going on today and definitely make sure
- 4:34that you're following Morgan on all our socials for supporting
- 4:38what she does with The Druids luck and stay tuned for more
- 4:41information to come on that as he had.
- 4:43Store is launched. Another thing, just bear in mind
- 4:46as we get some housekeeping stuff up with the way there is
- 4:50an event coming up here in just a week or two, actually not this
- 4:54coming, Fourth of July weekend but the one, you know, after
- 4:58that, this the eighth on the 8th of July is going to be a day of
- 5:05fun with Clarity folk tribe that I am tied to in a way so much I
- 5:13tried her. The focus is going to be having
- 5:14a day of fun at the Fate Sanders recreational area in Smyrna,
- 5:18Tennessee, details for that are linked in the description and
- 5:21show notes of this podcast as well.
- 5:24But we're going to be there all day.
- 5:25So we got some canopies ever going to be setting up by the by
- 5:29the lake. It is the summertime and it is
- 5:32Tennessee. So we're hoping for a great day
- 5:35of being able to be out and enjoy the water.
- 5:38So please if you're in the area you want to come out and meet us
- 5:41and just have a day of fun, it's potluck style.
- 5:43You know we got some charcoal grills that are going to be
- 5:46accessible for us and and so bring a dish ringside bring a
- 5:50snack bring your swim trunks. Bring your swimsuits you know
- 5:53scum Mountain, hang out with a bunch of heathens in the Middle,
- 5:57Tennessee area. So now we got that out the way
- 6:00again, all that information is down in the description or in
- 6:02the show notes to this podcast. Do be sure to check it out.
- 6:05Without further Ado, let's welcome in Morgan from a Druids
- 6:10luck here on the random even ramblings podcast.
- 6:15All right, folks, as I mentioned in the intro, we have a guest
- 6:18today who actually comes Via Way of some of her own unique.
- 6:25Esoteric kind of dealings. This is Morgan, and she has a
- 6:29Etsy Shop. She is a Tarot reader.
- 6:32An oracle reader. She has, she has this brand or
- 6:35name called a Druids luck. So, welcome to the show Morgan.
- 6:39Thanks for tuning, it's really good to be here.
- 6:40Thanks for having me. Yeah, it's great to have you.
- 6:43You actually came to me in an email and you had also even
- 6:48following the podcast a bit on the socials.
- 6:51You know, you two need to the tune into the two or three
- 6:54years, it's been While so okay well thank you for the support.
- 6:58It's greatly appreciated, you know, and you were one of the
- 7:02folks who commented on a post that we put out like a month or
- 7:07two ago asking what people's, you know, what we should.
- 7:10What should we talk about on the podcast which we ramble on about
- 7:12and you came in clutch with the idea to talk about Loki, right?
- 7:17And and and so now, here we are talking about some of the things
- 7:20that you do. So I mentioned earlier on that
- 7:23you do tarot and Oracle and Drew.
- 7:25It's like, as your brand. So aren't you kind of elaborate
- 7:27on that for the people watching and listening?
- 7:29So you know what we're talking about?
- 7:31So my mission with Taro, I do live to just Serve the People
- 7:35through the cards. I mean, whatever you're going
- 7:38through the cards, really can help hone your intuition about
- 7:44any situation or yourself. People, you're dealing with big
- 7:48life themes. The cards are just I live by the
- 7:53cards. I do have a Click background.
- 7:56I was raised Catholic, but during the pandemic like a lot
- 7:59of us. Right.
- 8:00A lot of us pagans, there's definitely a lot of people that
- 8:04come from a monotheistic, or Christian background.
- 8:07Catholic, I have a good friend who was, you know, born and
- 8:11raised I guess, you know, in the Catholic church.
- 8:13So that's quite a jump. It is.
- 8:15Yeah, paganism. Yeah, I even went to your like a
- 8:20really Catholic college and everything, but after I came
- 8:24home, I was just Like you know this isn't really working
- 8:26anymore like so so Catholic school, huh?
- 8:32Yeah but my parents they went to they went to Catholic school but
- 8:36it was it was back in like the probably like the I guess the
- 8:4170s early 70s. So things were probably a little
- 8:43bit different back then than they are now and they didn't go
- 8:46to like college with it. It was a right like high school,
- 8:49I think. And they always talked about how
- 8:51mean the nuns were or where they mean in like that.
- 8:55University level or the college level.
- 8:57The nuns were pretty cloistered. Actually, we didn't really talk
- 9:01to them a lot. A lot of them had like, taken
- 9:04vows of Silence. Here's, they didn't really like
- 9:06talk to anybody even better. Yeah, the monks, I mean, the
- 9:11monks themselves because like we even had monks who would teach
- 9:13our classes and stuff but like I mean they were pretty nice for
- 9:18the most part that's good. There is like that pressure
- 9:22though you know like boom so so and so it Don't go to Sunday
- 9:26mass. Like, they hold it over your
- 9:29head, they do. Yeah.
- 9:30So I was just thinking about that a lot when I came home and
- 9:34I was like, do I really want to be a part of that?
- 9:36I don't know. Like, yeah, there's still a lot
- 9:39of really cool things about the Catholic religion that I like a
- 9:42lot of the Saints and angels I think are really cool, but for
- 9:46the most part it's just wasn't working.
- 9:49I mean, yeah. So so that's where a lot of us
- 9:53reach, you know, we I think, At different points in people's
- 9:56lives. We've especially I don't know
- 10:00maybe just maybe it's just my observation.
- 10:01But do you see like nowadays where more and more people are
- 10:05kind of Awakening to the fact that they can think for
- 10:07themselves and find things for themselves rather than just
- 10:10following the tradition of their parents or grandparents and just
- 10:12staying with that. You see you see that too?
- 10:14Yeah, absolutely. I mean, like, when you're, when
- 10:19you're so far into it with the Catholic religion it's just like
- 10:23well we follow this one person. Even living in this tiny City
- 10:27who it's supposed to be the holiest place in the world.
- 10:29I mean, I don't know. And then as a druid, it's just
- 10:32like, you can go outside and like, this is the holiest place
- 10:35in the world is all around me. Like, yeah.
- 10:37So, so you are a, you would classify yourself, right?
- 10:42Then, if I as a solitary, Druid practitioner Ranger witek so a
- 10:48lot of the Celtic and yes, type themes of a paganism, right?
- 10:52But I was thinking about this before we recorded, The funny
- 10:55thing is I work with a lot of Norse gods and I do like the
- 10:59Celtic gods a lot, but I don't know.
- 11:02It was weird, like I probably two or three years ago when I
- 11:07was starting out, I was just basic neo-pagan.
- 11:12And I was exploring like, low-key and different just all
- 11:17of the different gods and gods. But earlier this year, I was
- 11:21like, okay, Loki. This isn't really working kind
- 11:24of shifted over to lie. A codon for a I work with bast's
- 11:28a lot, the Egyptian cat God and yeah like the fairies and stuff
- 11:35too. I mean that's more Celtic.
- 11:37So, hmm. So you have a bit of a mixed
- 11:41Pantheon bag. Yeah.
- 11:42Yeah. Mixed bag.
- 11:43Yeah. So that's interesting.
- 11:45I, you know, from my angle, you know, I Eileen pretty heavily
- 11:50into the Norse of Germanic side of things and but I A lot of
- 11:55people who have, you know, have had a place either in the past
- 11:59or currently have a place is similarly, right?
- 12:02I'm a bit of a mixed bag and they're in their individual
- 12:06cultic practices. You know, the things that they
- 12:07do themselves individually solitarily, but I've never, I've
- 12:12never explored that. I always felt like if I'm going
- 12:15to, I'm going to invite one group of friends over that kind
- 12:19of aligned with certain ideas. I might not want to invite other
- 12:22friends over that things could Clash.
- 12:25Just kind of a personal thing. So it's interesting to see like
- 12:28what what has been your experience with the blending of
- 12:33Pantheon's or the mixing of those types of energies.
- 12:37What's it been, like it's funny. It's like I think that almost
- 12:40comes from just the Catholic background.
- 12:42Oh you you're trying to buy a house, pray to the saying of
- 12:45like Finance you are trying to study like pray to Thomas
- 12:50Aquinas or you've lost something like Saint Anthony of Padua.
- 12:56And all these Saints. They come from different
- 12:58countries. Different cultures.
- 13:01Honestly, that's probably where I got it from.
- 13:04Okay, old habits die hard, I guess.
- 13:06Yeah. Well, that's interesting
- 13:08because, you know, a lot of people who I've noticed that
- 13:11come from a Christian background, feel the need To
- 13:18like abandoned and leave everything that they ever were
- 13:21taught behind and there is place for that.
- 13:23I feel like there's a lot of like worldview stuff that is,
- 13:26you know, it shifts. And it changes when you went to
- 13:28a polytheistic sort of practice, you know, your World Views over
- 13:32time change. Yeah.
- 13:35But some of like the religiosity of it I see.
- 13:39Kind of carryover across cultures and across religions,
- 13:42you know, like there's I used to I used to stay and I actually
- 13:44still do that. Catholics are the pagans in
- 13:48denial. You know, they have the Saints.
- 13:49They have this. They have all these rituals.
- 13:52Like they are just like, is so ritualistic.
- 13:57I attended body and blood like that's very, you know, Pagan
- 14:02almost symbology the, you know, all of it.
- 14:07So it's interesting to hear, Or someone else who grew up at that
- 14:10or follow that. And even, you know, attended a
- 14:13school of Higher Learning, that, that steam was, you know, that
- 14:17was it. That's what it was built around
- 14:18incorporate, some of those elements into their current
- 14:23practices. So you do Taro you, you know,
- 14:27you read tarot, your rhetorical what is, what is a Druids look
- 14:30about? Yeah, I was all out of a.
- 14:33Oh yeah. Which with the tarot.
- 14:37I just look to work with the Where I have different like
- 14:43spreads and everything. But more into the other side of
- 14:46a Druids look, the Etsy Shop is opening with the spell wish
- 14:51boxes where I mean you just put items that are precious to you
- 14:55and it or things like you know it could be a rock or a deck of
- 14:59cards maybe a piece of paper with like a special intention on
- 15:05it and then you would put it on your altar or wherever you.
- 15:08Want. And yeah, like just manifest
- 15:11your goals. Your dreams great.
- 15:14Yeah. So you're going to be launching
- 15:17your Etsy Shop under the name of Druids.
- 15:19Look. Correct and right.
- 15:21Yep. Great.
- 15:22And there's going to be links in the show notes in description.
- 15:24So everybody listening and watching if if what Morgan's
- 15:27talking about sounds of interest to you or you maybe find
- 15:31yourself along that similar type path or want to maybe
- 15:34incorporate things. Definitely be sure to check out
- 15:36those the links that are going to be, you know, Show notes and
- 15:40description. So, yeah, and they are made to
- 15:42order. So, definitely, like, reach out
- 15:44to me. I can talk to you about the
- 15:45materials I work with, and, yeah, so that's great.
- 15:49Mmm, it's all very fascinating. And we're actually here today
- 15:54because one of the people who follows my podcast and I've kind
- 15:59of interacted with a bit online, ask the question recently.
- 16:03And, you know, we are going to be talking today, a bit about
- 16:07burnout Yes, yes. This is not something that I
- 16:10think any of us are foreign to we've all felt that.
- 16:13We've all felt that, you know, feeling of a just don't care.
- 16:17I just don't want to do it anymore, right?
- 16:19Burnt out, right? Yeah.
- 16:21And before we really get into talking about that from our
- 16:25different perspectives are different angles.
- 16:28You had planned something for this this episode with with your
- 16:33tarot cards issue. Yes.
- 16:34Okay. So today I thought we could do A
- 16:39five card based off of the five different elements spread and
- 16:45it's going to be a collective reading.
- 16:48Just asking the question, what does our do ourselves?
- 16:52You and me, Jesse and the audience need to know about
- 16:55going into this weekend, the kind of energy that we should be
- 16:58aware of. So so before you start I could
- 17:01if I could just ask one thing is after the show or maybe after
- 17:04the reading since it's not going to be live on camera for folks
- 17:08to see Anyone that wants to see it, would you mind maybe
- 17:11grabbing a? Is it okay to ask grab a
- 17:13snapshot, a picture of yeah, spread.
- 17:15When you do it, I'll send it to me.
- 17:16And I'll lay it over sure the screen so that those that are
- 17:19watching, can see it because this is a video podcast as well
- 17:22as audio. So those that see like a tripod
- 17:25by the time we recorded, but unfortunately, it did not arrive
- 17:28in time so good. It says, it's how we do things
- 17:31here. We shoot from the hip and make
- 17:33it work so we'll do it. Sure.
- 17:35Okay, so we're working today with the steam.
- 17:38I'm Punk, tarot which is why Barbara more the first element
- 17:43that will do is for error. So that would be guiding he's
- 17:46just coming from your mind. Your thoughts, are is a lot
- 17:50about communication. So, what would we need to know
- 17:53about communication, going into this weekend?
- 17:56Do that one with Earth. I mean, that really relates a
- 18:00lot to your material realm, like your money, your Finance, your
- 18:03career, And then water is going to be your emotions and your
- 18:08intuition. So emotionally, what would you
- 18:10need to know going into this weekend?
- 18:14Fire, what, what are your passions?
- 18:17What are you wanting? And lastly, is spirit.
- 18:26So this card is going to be representative of your true self
- 18:29or the Divine and flip them over.
- 18:36Wow. Okay.
- 18:39Wow. Seriously.
- 18:42Okay, see I can't see. I can't I can't see anything
- 18:45either. So like the people that end up
- 18:46listening to this they're like, what do you mean?
- 18:48Wow, I don't either, I don't know.
- 18:52Interesting to see this. Yeah, well I'm saying wow
- 18:57because the first three cards that we pulled our Arcana cards,
- 19:02the first one that we have is the hanged man and I'm just
- 19:07going to take my guide here. So he is number.
- 19:11Twelve usually, it represents being uncomfortable but like can
- 19:16also be representative of like surrendering to an experience or
- 19:21situation and this. So the are right.
- 19:27This is the air. Yeah element.
- 19:29Yeah. So this is probably Probably
- 19:35somebody who needs to listen to themselves more as like, what I
- 19:42would say, okay? Yeah.
- 19:46Like probably, Remember guys, this is, what's going into this
- 19:52coming weekend. So, as we hear about what, you
- 19:54know, right? We're just being cool.
- 19:56Yeah, we're doing, we recording this on Monday.
- 19:58You guys are listening to this on a Thursday, so gearing up
- 20:02through the week. That's right now.
- 20:03I'm like it's going to have to probably different perspectives
- 20:07for like us doing this right now.
- 20:09Getting this this content out to you took from the time of us
- 20:13doing this the time to hear it. Listen to this on Thursday and
- 20:16be like oh that makes sense now, but so willing.
- 20:20I surrender to an experience or situation.
- 20:22So I think that's probably somebody.
- 20:29Needs to be willing to communicate more.
- 20:34Whether it's with people, they work with, or their personal
- 20:40life, their family Arcana are really representative of, like,
- 20:44major themes in your life. So that could be like a life
- 20:48lesson for someone. Okay.
- 20:51And then Temperance, let's number 14.
- 20:58I was going to say, Jesse before we started the show that I'll
- 21:01send you images of Visa card, great about the artwork and
- 21:07then, yeah, the final spread because I can put these up on
- 21:10the screen and people that watch can see what you can see, right?
- 21:13So yeah right great. Where your organic folks.
- 21:18This is the this is the first time we've ever done anything
- 21:20like this on the podcast. So here's my guinea pigs for
- 21:24this one, too. Very cool.
- 21:30All right, so with the Earth element card, we have
- 21:33Temperance. That's another major theme in
- 21:35your life relating. A lot to right thing.
- 21:40Right time, right place. So maybe it could relate to
- 21:47Somebody being in the right place at work and their career
- 21:50and their finances Temperance is a lot about like give-and-take
- 21:56to unlike balance, right? Yeah.
- 21:59Not given to much and not taking too much.
- 22:01That kind of that balance. Yeah, exactly and Earth.
- 22:05And that's the from, that's on the earth card or the earth, I
- 22:08drank tea, really hard. Is there anything is there
- 22:12anything to do with like grounding on that act?
- 22:15Like it's funny that you mention.
- 22:16That she's it's this Angel. She's standing Barefoot with her
- 22:21toe, like, touching some water. So, okay.
- 22:24That's really crazy. Yeah.
- 22:26Critical detail right there. Yeah, like cards.
- 22:28Just do like details like that. Okay.
- 22:33But she's holding two Spears. I don't.
- 22:37Looks like there is water being balanced in between them.
- 22:44So I guess somebody needs to know that about their job or
- 22:47their money or their possessions to keep things balanced, to make
- 22:53it a goal and their life. All right.
- 22:57And then our third element water, so that's emotions and
- 23:02intuition. Okay?
- 23:03The Tower came up and the tower is people usually freak out when
- 23:08they see the tower, but it's not really a - card unless you want
- 23:14it to be. I think that like probably a lot
- 23:19of us are, there's always something going on, right and
- 23:23your life, like it never ends really, we all have problems.
- 23:27But what the tower teaches us is that even though this building
- 23:30is falling down, I mean, you have to look and see what can be
- 23:34salvaged from the wreckage. So I'd say, like, for this
- 23:38person, What can you salvaged from a situation that may be
- 23:43emotionally, isn't going well, maybe you got a valuable
- 23:49experience or like, I don't know.
- 23:55I really like the tower a lot actually.
- 23:57Because if, if you think about it, too, like a building falls
- 24:01down, it can be rebuilt stronger.
- 24:05Yeah, almost see it as a gay. And this one was the Water water
- 24:11element, right? Yeah.
- 24:13So I don't know, you know, I don't know.
- 24:16I'm very animistic in my views of the world as of late anyway
- 24:20and so I always see the entropic side of Nature and how Decay and
- 24:27and whatnot leads to New Life, you know, so things that are
- 24:31falling down and things that are falling apart.
- 24:34May not, they may have just run their course, you know what I
- 24:36mean? And it's time to lay those
- 24:37things to bed and looked To you said Salvage things that from
- 24:42the wreckage and build up from there.
- 24:45Right, when I got home. It doesn't always mean that
- 24:50something is going wrong in your life.
- 24:52It just means like, yeah, you gotta let go and move on and
- 24:56rebuild that stuff. I can become whole lot of us.
- 25:00Yeah, I mean it's a big that you guys will be able to see the
- 25:03image. It's a big building built on a
- 25:05tree. It's hard.
- 25:09A lot of people worked on that, like energy went into building
- 25:13that so hard to let go of things that you feel like you've put
- 25:16all your effort into, you know, that's like no man.
- 25:18But I did so much and why don't, you know, you almost.
- 25:21Yeah. You like, you want to hold onto
- 25:23that forever and doesn't always work that way.
- 25:26Now our fourth element fire, so your desires and passions the
- 25:35King of Swords speaking to somebody Ooh, I mean he is a
- 25:39noble, he's the highest of the Court cards and with swords
- 25:46being about truth about communication.
- 25:51And the image, he's reading a book.
- 25:54So again, going back to what do you stand for?
- 25:58What's important to you? What do you value?
- 26:02What else can I see here? There's a sword behind him.
- 26:08There's a boat. So, so water again, is part of
- 26:14the, the this fire element in a way.
- 26:18That's interesting there. If boat is their boats are used
- 26:20for traveling on water, right? I'm trying to see what you're
- 26:24seeing from the description of it.
- 26:25So, I'm well, when I think boats, you know, I'm thinking
- 26:27the the, the carrier across water and water leads to things,
- 26:31suggestive of travel, like there's a globe behind him to on
- 26:34the floor. Really?
- 26:37Okay. I mean, he's like in a library,
- 26:40it looks like a personal library, and there's like a
- 26:42really nice sword behind him. So that's probably somebody who
- 26:50wants to travel a lot. Somebody who likes to study
- 26:54other cultures, interesting. I mean, when I say Collective,
- 27:00we're probably reading for the both of us in a way to.
- 27:03It's just like it's interesting with Collective readings because
- 27:06Like I don't, I have like rolls with them.
- 27:10I won't do them on Tick-Tock because I've seen people do that
- 27:14and it's just very it's kind of gross.
- 27:17Like people are like, yes, no, you know, and they don't explain
- 27:20why. So yeah, I feel the same way
- 27:24about runic divination to. Right?
- 27:27So that's interesting. No, you're good.
- 27:30Like when you see that, it's just not genuine, it's just
- 27:34people. Trying to make a buck exactly
- 27:37charlatans me. Like I don't work that way.
- 27:41If if I give you an answer, I want to be able to go into it
- 27:44and sort of flesh out the details here.
- 27:50So That would be the fire element.
- 27:56Going into Spirit your truest self and the Divine, which is
- 28:02the 9 of Wands nines are a lot about attainment and ones are a
- 28:12lot about. Going back to like passion and
- 28:17the because the element for the suit of Wands is fire.
- 28:21So it's kind of its kind of crazy.
- 28:22The scred really just tied itself together but it shows a
- 28:27person she's looking through a telescope or Kaleidoscope
- 28:29whatever. Well, it's interesting because
- 28:33the spirit card has a representation of 9 which for
- 28:38those who follow in like the northern Traditions, like myself
- 28:41and whatnot. Nine is a sacred number the
- 28:44nine. In Realms, right?
- 28:45Yeah. Because you got the nine Realms
- 28:47and and so it gets that 9 and multiples of nine, the three
- 28:53norns. You know what I'm saying?
- 28:54So there's there's a lot of there's some sacred connections
- 28:59to that number and itself and you said the nine of ones which
- 29:02is I don't do Terror, I've not really studied him so much on
- 29:07weirdly enough. I was given a Tarot deck with a
- 29:11bunch of like Norse and and and whatnot image.
- 29:14On it. I've had those cards read for me
- 29:16and they were a gift from My Wife and I've had friends of
- 29:18mine, read those tarot's for me. But yeah.
- 29:21So there's like, you know, images of the Gods and then
- 29:23there's rooms and other things and so yeah.
- 29:26They're they're pretty neat. But that's not my Ally.
- 29:29Yeah, interesting. Interesting, spread So I can
- 29:37just like reference my guide really quick here though,
- 29:39please. Yeah.
- 29:40Because like, I'm really good at like the Arcana meetings but
- 29:46like the Pips are really hard because they make up half of the
- 29:49deck. So I mean you want to read as
- 29:53intuitively as possible, you want to see like what the card
- 29:56is kind of telling you. Oh I like it preparing for the
- 30:00next challenge. so, someone who's been through a lot of
- 30:09different things, and hmm. The Pips to their representative
- 30:24of situations. So she d k.
- 30:27Yeah, that's everybody's got their own situation, you know.
- 30:30But Whoever this is for its kind of saying that like this is the
- 30:39last stand. Like this is a decision has to
- 30:43be made. Maybe it's someone who is
- 30:48deciding their spiritual path. I don't know.
- 30:52Like am I doing this for real or?
- 30:54Yeah. Yeah so is this is it what
- 30:56you're doing now is this kind of like the read of the spread the
- 30:59summary of everything kind of yeah.
- 31:03Come to a, what we can do really quick with the oracle card sort
- 31:08of summarize. Everything we had And Temperance
- 31:15the tower King of Swords, 9 of Wands.
- 31:20That's I mean, it's pretty intense with, like the three
- 31:22major Arcana themes and they're like, that's a lot of Life
- 31:28Learning. So it ain't gonna get easy is
- 31:31what we're saying, right? It never does.
- 31:32This is, this is the buckle up. You have to be willing to be
- 31:37uncomfortable. You have to be willing to
- 31:38balance things and you definitely have to be willing to
- 31:42let go of what's not working anymore. or so, and then
- 31:49obviously, just standing up for what you believe in what you're
- 31:54passionate about and Then yeah, making a call spiritually.
- 32:03Like, if something's not working out, or I like that.
- 32:07Yeah. Because, you know, like I said
- 32:09before, some of the struggles that I see people, Facing with
- 32:18their spirituality and whatnot is is is you know Finding their
- 32:23own truth and especially in and I don't know if you have
- 32:28experienced this through your like druidic practices or
- 32:31studies and being being solitary you may have avoided some of
- 32:36what I'm about to say but at least in like the Heathen
- 32:39circles and communities. You know it's very
- 32:43Community-based tribal based, you know what I mean?
- 32:45Like a lot of people see that where Heathen re thrives and
- 32:49shines. The best is with Community with
- 32:52tribe, with others of like minds.
- 32:54And when you get so many like Minds together, you know, you're
- 32:57bound to cross cross swords a bit.
- 33:01You know, you're going to, you're going to, you're going to
- 33:02have debate, you're going to have disagreements and some of
- 33:05those disagreements get get so heated and so heavy that like
- 33:08especially on like the historical side of things.
- 33:10Some people will become VM and lie.
- 33:13You know, if it's not historical, then it's wrong and
- 33:17then you get people that are like, well guess I'm doing it
- 33:19wrong then and they they neglect to follow what they know to be
- 33:26true because it works for them and they abandon that because
- 33:30somebody guilted them into thinking, it was wrong.
- 33:32Like, who the hell are you to tell somebody what they're doing
- 33:35is wrong? That's their experience of, you
- 33:37know, their experiences are valid.
- 33:40And I, I love the history. Side of things, I love learning
- 33:44about the way, the culture was, you know, in pre-christian
- 33:49times. And and how the people from what
- 33:51we can learn through archaeological finds and other
- 33:53things, learn how the people probably lived and experienced
- 33:58the Divine in their ways. But I also feel like it needs to
- 34:04have its place, right? Like, that's how it was done
- 34:06back, then it was done back then for a specific reason because
- 34:09that was the way the world was at the time.
- 34:11You know, we don't we don't sacrifice Those horses nowadays
- 34:14because that's just not a thing we do.
- 34:17Yeah. You know what I mean?
- 34:18It's illegal in a lot of places and we certainly don't have, you
- 34:21know, nine-year sacrifices of of humans.
- 34:24Like they did at one point in time in all uppsala, you know,
- 34:29uppsala, Sweden and clearly that's not a thing anymore.
- 34:32So part of the history is like, yeah, let's let's stay relevant.
- 34:35And let's glean from it, but don't don't.
- 34:39Discredit someone's experience from being any less valid.
- 34:43So I like I like that the the cards that you've, you know,
- 34:48read and spread have this. This underlying theme may be an
- 34:52overarching theme of don't Don't be afraid to dig through the
- 34:59rubble of things. Don't be afraid to.
- 35:03Go down that path. Don't don't, don't be afraid to
- 35:05learn, don't be afraid to, you know, be ready to have your
- 35:10sword drawn right? Have that have that direction
- 35:13there? It's you know, but don't be
- 35:14afraid to go there. So it was a king.
- 35:17So I mean what he says is authoritative like it's not like
- 35:22a page or a night. It's definitely like you are.
- 35:25Right, right. It's like you are in control.
- 35:28So it's good. Yeah.
- 35:32Like I actually have one more quick reference for that Court
- 35:38card. Just look they get a little more
- 35:43specific. I'm actually in the middle of a
- 35:45master class for that one right now, but this this person though
- 35:53is definitely rational, I mean, Definitely.
- 35:58So. I'm hearing everything you're
- 36:02saying and I'm like applying it to myself and maybe the
- 36:04listeners once they get to this point are going to be doing the
- 36:06same, coz it's like, weird be for like everybody.
- 36:08Yeah. Let everybody kind of read about
- 36:11the police's. It's very like relatable to a
- 36:13lot of us. I did this reading for my dad.
- 36:16That was just insane because like it was so spot-on as far as
- 36:20just like his health, but your dad was insane or the reading
- 36:23was insane. Both is actually insane.
- 36:28You're like, I did this reading for my dad.
- 36:29That was insane. I'm like, oh, he was He is, he
- 36:32is like, definitely he is yeah, yeah we did The Chariot spread
- 36:37for him and I was like, Kay. So you're not sleeping still?
- 36:42You are like what else was there?
- 36:44There was like, oh, strength with was his obstacle that he
- 36:49was trying to overcome. I was like, okay, there was like
- 36:53a lot of really heavy stuff and I was like, yeah, I think this
- 36:57is you. So, But obviously with like
- 37:02friends and family sometimes, I mean, you know them, so it's
- 37:04definitely easier to relate the cards to just what you know
- 37:08about their lives. Yeah, because I didn't want to
- 37:13touch on that real quick because, you know, reading any
- 37:16sort of divination, I think I've done runic divination, you know,
- 37:21that, that's where that's where I found my comfort zone, and it
- 37:26hasn't been comfortable getting there.
- 37:28I mean, it's it was, it was sacrificed.
- 37:30There was a lot of Trials and whatnot to get where I am and
- 37:35I'm not even the greatest, I mean, it's always learning,
- 37:38right? Never always the student, never
- 37:39the master but But the bias you know that can sometimes creep in
- 37:46because of the person that, you know, you know, you maybe don't
- 37:49want to say the wrong thing or show them something that may be
- 37:53upsetting or whatever. It's like, sorry, but this
- 37:55isn't, I'm not, I'm not trying to make your day here.
- 37:58Yeah. This is what it says, you know,
- 37:59like right. It is what it is.
- 38:01Yeah. And how challenging that can be
- 38:03with people that we know that are close to us and yeah, it was
- 38:09I have kind of a mixed relationship with him but like,
- 38:13it was a Father's Day gift and I recorded like the audio notes.
- 38:18I like, you know, did like really detailed notes for him,
- 38:22and it was hard like telling him, you know, like, hey, we
- 38:25don't talk often but like you should just be aware that I'm
- 38:30aware, but like, this is going on and he ended really,
- 38:35hopefully, he got like, The Two of Wands or the 3 of Wands.
- 38:39I think it was the Two of Wands. Suggesting a lot of opportunity.
- 38:45But I mean, the thing about tarot and like the future cards,
- 38:48it's really you like, they'll never 100% promise anything.
- 38:53It's really up to you to do the work.
- 38:55So yeah. Yeah.
- 38:58Like divination is interesting. It's something and 2017.
- 39:03When I started, I bought my first deck.
- 39:07I didn't realize that's what I was doing.
- 39:10I didn't because I didn't really think of it as that, but like
- 39:13now in the last year or two, having studied it a lot more
- 39:18intensely. It's like wow.
- 39:20Yeah. We really are channeling like
- 39:22it. Man wears energy weaving is is a
- 39:25way I like to put it. It's so much just trying to see.
- 39:28Well, what if somebody else have to say?
- 39:30It's like what can I put into these threads?
- 39:33How can I weave things in my own way?
- 39:37You know, and it's really powerful stuff when, like, when
- 39:40you get people who are good at it, it does things.
- 39:45I know I've seen it, you know, it's nothing and people can be,
- 39:50you know, they can believe it or not and that's their
- 39:52prerogative. I'm just saying from my
- 39:53experience. It's when, when you, when you
- 39:59enter into those those threads and put yourself in it like that
- 40:05It's, you're part of it now and we have that ability and that's
- 40:09why I'm always cautious with people who get into Heathen Rios
- 40:15to say, hidenori specific because I know that's my
- 40:17wheelhouse and that was one of the first things they want to
- 40:20get into is, let's learn the runes.
- 40:23You know, I'm like, oh yeah, maybe not.
- 40:26Maybe make it hold off a bit, you know, like get into the
- 40:29understanding, like, Hearth coal, and your relationships
- 40:32with the, the spirits in and around you, you know, the VT.
- 40:34Here or whatever you want to call them.
- 40:36And then how your relationship blooms within or from that to
- 40:43dealing with the Divine. And then, you know, at some
- 40:45point along the way, it'll probably be made manifest to
- 40:48you. That the Rune should be
- 40:50something you delve into, and that's how it was for me, you
- 40:53know, I didn't think at first that was something I should do.
- 40:56It was, it was quite literally just like a crack in the middle
- 40:58of the night. You know, like a lightning crack
- 41:01that said time to do it time to hang from the You know, as it
- 41:06were and it that's where it started.
- 41:09It was his it wasn't me deciding to do it.
- 41:11It was getting this message as it were from like the, from the
- 41:15Divine Universe from the gods, however, you want to label it.
- 41:19That's how it was for me and I caution people that feel like
- 41:23they just have to do it because well, that's just part of
- 41:26heathen, re it's a part of it, but it's a separate part of it.
- 41:29Like, it's right back in the old days, you know, people that were
- 41:33Designated to do it. Did it not?
- 41:35He wouldn't look every Tom Dick and Harry in the village, you
- 41:37know, had her own set of runes. And like we have some sources
- 41:42that say well you know the man of the house would do it.
- 41:44And then you have other sources that mention void was, you know,
- 41:49specific services and in the the safe Kona, you know, those
- 41:54women, those people of the village of the of the area that
- 41:58were kind of traveling and did it from Village to Village, you
- 42:02know, they Stay in one place. I they took that stuff with them
- 42:05and why do you think that was? Because the people didn't want
- 42:08to keep that powerful energy. Like yeah, hibernating with
- 42:12right? Okay.
- 42:13You did your thing now right away.
- 42:17Yeah, it's kind of funny my husband because I've been
- 42:20educating him as I've gotten more into this especially this
- 42:23year. It's I'm like so today all you
- 42:27know, I'm a part of a community for Taro.
- 42:29I'm like today I learned it is crucial Do not touch someone's
- 42:34deck, unless you have their permission.
- 42:36Absolutely. Not like, if it's an accident.
- 42:39Okay? But oh, yeah, yeah, so he always
- 42:43asks, which is like so sweet because I'm like, it's okay.
- 42:46Yes, you can, like move them or whatever.
- 42:48And yeah, it's always one of those things because they do
- 42:52just have a lot of potent energy and them.
- 42:57So I don't when I do readings, you know, I pretty much make it
- 43:02known like The readings that I do with the runes that I use,
- 43:05these are mine, you know? Yeah.
- 43:08If I give you permission to touch one or more move one or
- 43:11pick one up, that's fine. Other than that, it's hands off.
- 43:14Let me, let me maneuver from, you know.
- 43:16Absolutely. So I guess I get it now.
- 43:20You know, we could almost make a whole podcast about divination
- 43:23maybe in the future. It definitely I think it's a fun
- 43:27topic and I think a lot of people are really into it.
- 43:31So it would be it would be a fun thing. but I do want to start
- 43:34because I'm trying to get ogham ruins which are Yes, they're the
- 43:39Celtic runes, because I'm like, okay, like I'm doing pretty good
- 43:42with Taro but I'm a druid, like, I should be reading ogham.
- 43:48So, which I have studied and charted like I know some of the
- 43:52basic meanings of those my hand books pretty comprehensive about
- 43:56it. So there is a go fund me if you
- 43:58guys wanted to donate. It just covers a set of runes a
- 44:02book and a notebook and I was willing to do Because like, you
- 44:09know, I'm not going to charge for something.
- 44:11I don't know how to do yet. So if you guys want to practice
- 44:13like we can do whatever Zoom or whatever once I studied.
- 44:17Yeah awesome. So we'll be definitely you know
- 44:20will definitely be linking that because I'm all about you know,
- 44:23tapping into the the resources in the community and
- 44:26crowdfunding is a great way for people to support you know small
- 44:31businesses and support their creators and and and be
- 44:35interactive in that way. So yes, it'll be linked in the
- 44:38Show notes in description. So check it all out for sure.
- 44:41Thank you. Yeah, so burnout burnout, you
- 44:48know, this, this topic, this word can cover a slew of things.
- 44:53You can be physically burnt out because you just like and don't
- 44:55feel like getting up and doing anything because it's so
- 44:58repetitive, right. I'm bored.
- 45:00But uh, so we can talk about that too.
- 45:02But also, I think it definitely hits home for a lot of us when
- 45:06it comes to a Feeling. Burnt out in spiritually.
- 45:10Oh yeah. I've experienced stuff like that
- 45:13yourself. Yeah.
- 45:14And I would say like most recently it would have been like
- 45:22end of last year and I was kind of just doing my thing.
- 45:25Normally I was still working in pharmacy.
- 45:28At the time though, as a technician really hard job
- 45:31especially during the holidays. And I just kind of stopped, like
- 45:37I stopped even acknowledging the deities, I was working with each
- 45:43day, I wasn't really like I was barely reading tarot.
- 45:48I try to do that for myself every day, if not, you know,
- 45:52doing readings for other people, but I was definitely burned out
- 45:57physically. Mentally spiritually, didn't
- 46:00want to do it anymore, like, definitely did you.
- 46:05And I know I've done this to wear.
- 46:09You find something of inspiration, right?
- 46:11And it it gets you fired up, you know, you want to, you want to
- 46:15be immersed in it all the time as much as possible and that's
- 46:19where you find your your happiness, you know, we are
- 46:21fulfillment and then something happens.
- 46:26That takes that away. And I think a lot of us wonder
- 46:31what was it ever? Really that strong enough to
- 46:32begin with if something in my life could.
- 46:37Take that fire away, you know, and, and lose lose that
- 46:41interest, we almost feel ashamed.
- 46:44I think some of us do that that, you know, life in general.
- 46:47Can can be so manipulative, you know, towards us and take away
- 46:52things that we at one time felt so.
- 46:54Passionate about. Right, right?
- 46:57What are some things that you felt?
- 46:59Like, maybe you felt, you know, beneficial to Healing that kind
- 47:04of feeling. I recommitted to sobriety that
- 47:10seriously helped me a lot. I know for me, it just runs in
- 47:14my family. So for me, it's just not a good
- 47:16idea, you know, like just that's it, it's just not a good idea
- 47:21for me. So, no simulation, no substances
- 47:24at all to any, a sort of stimulants.
- 47:27Just it's a hard, no, right. Yeah.
- 47:32So, I mean sobriety it's just it really rocks.
- 47:35Like I'm five or six months sober now and I'm like, I
- 47:38imagined. Yeah.
- 47:39Thank you like. It's just like I have those
- 47:44relationships with them. Those guides like again.
- 47:49And that doesn't, I'm not thinking about, oh, I have to,
- 47:54you know, budget around my alcohol this week, or I have to,
- 48:01you know, like play on my drinking or whatever.
- 48:04Like, I know, for people who struggle with that, it's just
- 48:07kind of like, okay, can I get away with it here?
- 48:09Can I not like when I get home? Like alcohol is really just it's
- 48:15your brain. Yep.
- 48:18So recommitting to sobriety was like huge for me and Yeah, just
- 48:29I I stopped working in Pharmacy. I took some time off because I
- 48:33wanted to study for my federal certification so I had like a
- 48:37stage, a provisional license in my state but if your federally
- 48:42licensed by the board I could work in like any state or
- 48:45territory so I took some time off to do that.
- 48:51And you know what kind of happened is I just ended up
- 48:53leaning more towards my spirituality like I was trying
- 48:58to study Pharmacy everyday, but I was like I love
- 49:04Pharmaceuticals. I love how helpful they are
- 49:07sometimes but they can do a lot of damage to.
- 49:10I've seen it synthetic drugs, you mean night like?
- 49:12Yeah, and I saw that and the pharmacy.
- 49:15It's totally a huge reason. I relapsed, it's totally a huge
- 49:19reason. I burned out was just seeing
- 49:21these people struggle over chemicals.
- 49:26It's just what it is. Yeah, I never really realized
- 49:30just hearing you say like, what kind of You know, the type of
- 49:35people that you're exposed to every day working in that
- 49:39industry, you know, it's not just people coming in because
- 49:42they need her asthma inhaler. Refill, like there's people that
- 49:47make the regular Pharmacy visits because of some pretty
- 49:50heavy-duty stuff, right? I mean, I'm sure you got some
- 49:54crazy, so our stories, which we don't have to go into.
- 49:56But I mean I'm sure you've seen some things.
- 50:05Wow. You know like that's that's just
- 50:07like what hurt ultimately and like made me so just not want to
- 50:15do it anymore. It hurt your spirituality, you
- 50:19mean yeah. Like the I was like it's like
- 50:21soul-crushing. Like, you know so sounds very
- 50:28It's like the path of an imp like an empath.
- 50:30Like it sounds very empathetic to to the point of other
- 50:34people's pain is your pain? Yeah yeah yeah.
- 50:39And I definitely think that comes with like my mood disorder
- 50:42to but because I'm bipolar but like no.
- 50:47Yeah like I mean as a technician as a pharmacist you do have that
- 50:51bedside manner. You do care about your patience.
- 50:53Everybody gets burned out. I mean like, physically for not
- 50:58Eating, we're not drinking enough water.
- 51:03I there would even be times where it's like, do I have time
- 51:07to go to the bathroom? Dude, it's the bathroom, like,
- 51:09going to the bathroom, you know, right.
- 51:11That's how bad it would get though.
- 51:12Like, so I just, I studied for it for a while and I was like, I
- 51:18can't be a part of that. Like something where your basic
- 51:22needs aren't even really like, you just care so much or the
- 51:28company care. So much that, like, you're not
- 51:30even taking care of yourself, physically the life to work.
- 51:33This is off. Yes.
- 51:35Yeah. Which I know a lot of folks in
- 51:37you know at least here in this country in the United States can
- 51:41can relate to, we have a terrible life work, balance
- 51:45ethic, you know, I mean, like ethically, morally, whatever?
- 51:48Like especially when you get into a corporate like corporate
- 51:52type jobs or at the corporate level.
- 51:54I mean, Any any efforts to, you know, Advanced almost it goes
- 52:01hand-in-hand with. Well, you're going to have less
- 52:03time with your family. You know.
- 52:05You got to put more time into the business, more time into the
- 52:07company. I'm like, I'm sorry, but I don't
- 52:10either, there is nothing. There is no monetary job on this
- 52:13planet, that is worth that to me.
- 52:17You know what I mean? Like, I take my time off now and
- 52:20I didn't used to, you know, I mean, like there were there was
- 52:22times over my life where I'd be like, well I didn't use it, you
- 52:26know, Eating like my vacation time or pay time off and I know
- 52:30not everybody has a career or job that offers that but when it
- 52:34does and when you can don't, don't let it burn up.
- 52:37Don't don't let her lie. Don't let her lie literally I'll
- 52:40get it out. Don't literally let your Like
- 52:46your health burn up on you, you need that time away from your
- 52:51job from because look, how many, how many hours of the day do we
- 52:55spend away from our loved ones because of these things called
- 52:59jobs, right? And we're losing that connection
- 53:03that meaningful connection with the people that matter the most.
- 53:07We're not, we're not sitting down at dinners together hardly
- 53:11anymore, we're not taking time even when we do go, Go out to
- 53:14eat to enjoy one another's company because it's such a busy
- 53:18hectic, you know, get in this seat feed them, get them out of
- 53:22the seat. So the next people can come in
- 53:23repeat, you know, I mean like it's such a it's such a
- 53:26disconnected lifestyle that the world has kind of just leaned
- 53:31into gongyo gravitated towards. It's no wonder.
- 53:33People are just like I'm sick of this, I'm burnt out.
- 53:36I don't know what to do anymore. Where can I feel rejuvenated,
- 53:40right? I have the a lot of it starts
- 53:45just with your basic. Self-care is yeah.
- 53:48Like take care of ourselves. Are you eating?
- 53:50Are you eating at the same time? It's like is it good food?
- 53:53You know, are you just grabbing whatever is available?
- 53:58Yeah, I was totally being enough.
- 53:59Oh sorry, no it's okay. I interrupt you but yeah like
- 54:02the eat it. The eating thing I was talking
- 54:03with someone, not all that long ago.
- 54:05It was about being full after we eat versus being fulfilled.
- 54:11And you look at like, the portions A food that are served
- 54:14in like restaurants nowadays and everybody's like all they had
- 54:18such great portions. Well, sure.
- 54:21But is it just empty calories? I mean are you literally eating
- 54:232,000 calories at lunch of junk? You know, you look other places
- 54:28in the world and it's like they they give you, you know, a
- 54:30little but it's like naturally grown organic.
- 54:34It's full. Yeah, it's fulfilling again, it
- 54:37makes you feel better when you eat food that, you know, there's
- 54:41been loved and Care put into it. It's such a different experience
- 54:46than just eating for the sake of eating.
- 54:47It's like eating to be nourished on all levels.
- 54:50Definitely, I had gastric bypass done two years ago.
- 54:56It really taught me how to eat again, like yeah.
- 55:01I was basically a baby. Like I went from liquid to
- 55:04semi-solid to solids again. Oh yeah.
- 55:08So I'm, like, really picky about what I eat now.
- 55:11I mean, Sometimes it's kind of like, I don't know.
- 55:16I just think of this random story that like a fitness
- 55:19trainer I follow. She was talking about how she
- 55:23was training for a like body competition.
- 55:28Some sort of swimsuit competition and it got crazy to
- 55:32the point. She wouldn't eat an apple
- 55:34because she was afraid it would like show.
- 55:36I mean that is like carrying a little too much.
- 55:38So I'm not that crazy but like Yeah, you know, it goes both
- 55:44ways. It actually goes both ways.
- 55:47Absolutely. I think you can get burnt out on
- 55:50the good stuff too. Mmm.
- 55:51If I mean, Going through hard or being any, any extreme to any
- 55:57level isn't isn't healthy, you know, moderation is the key.
- 56:02You know, you can be a gym rat and a fitness buff or a
- 56:06nutrition Guru and still be miserable.
- 56:10And be like, I'm just done with, you know, counting the calories,
- 56:13the macros the, you know, again moderation, right?
- 56:17Yeah, you can do it easily enough.
- 56:19Our card we pulled for temperance, it goes back to that
- 56:22the balance. There you go.
- 56:25I've been meditating on that one, a lot, this past week.
- 56:29I know we were like, emailing back and forth and I was like,
- 56:32I'm going to start the nicotine lozenges, which I do and don't I
- 56:37just tried to, like, put it down occasionally like give myself a
- 56:41timer or something, but baby steps, you know, you gotta start
- 56:46somewhere, but that's great because, you know, the
- 56:50temperance thing really does fit.
- 56:52And again, like we had no, A least I didn't prior to this
- 56:56episode that that was going to be a card that is pulled on an
- 57:00episode built around balance or you know, burnout requires it to
- 57:05to avoid the burnout. You got to have balance, you
- 57:07know, because again if you're too much one way or the other,
- 57:11then of course you're going to get tired of it.
- 57:13You're going to be hell with all this, man.
- 57:16Why bother anymore? What's the point?
- 57:18You're not feeling fulfilled, you know, some of the things
- 57:22that have helped me. Find balance and nobody's
- 57:25perfect. And I'm one of those people who
- 57:26aren't, you know, but one of the things that have helped me find
- 57:29balance is knowing when I want something versus when I need
- 57:33something. And if I feel that it's a vice
- 57:36or if it's something that is you know, potentially harmful to me
- 57:40or others around me. If I feel like I need it then, I
- 57:44don't. Yeah.
- 57:45You know, if I want something, how badly do I want it?
- 57:50Do I want it because I'm feeling Stressed or do I want it?
- 57:54Because I'm feeling like burnt out all mans.
- 57:56Having this would really really calm me down that that rip that
- 58:00changes from a want to. We need because now you're
- 58:02you're feeling like an order to not feel a certain way.
- 58:07This other thing has to be part of your repertoire to achieve
- 58:12that feeling, you know, versus just wow.
- 58:15You know, it's a nice cool night or it's a nice warm night.
- 58:18I would really enjoy this thing that or the other, right?
- 58:21And then just leave it at that. So you know burnout can happen
- 58:26when we overindulge when we push too hard when we go to hard in
- 58:30the paint right when we're right and we're just giving everything
- 58:33we've got and not nurturing ourselves to be able to handle
- 58:37it. I think is another key thing.
- 58:39Burnout happens when we've just were firing on all cylinders and
- 58:42we're not given that engine enough time to cool down before
- 58:44we fire back up. Again I just thought of like I
- 58:49think too when we're burned out, Maybe physically, we get so
- 58:54tired but it's like there's kind of something really cool about
- 59:00just being disciplined. I mean I sometimes I wake up and
- 59:04I'm like I don't really want to pull any cards but I'm like but
- 59:06I'll feel so much better if I do.
- 59:08If I do you know go shuffle my deck and get out my journal, I
- 59:13always feel a lot better and what I like about how its
- 59:19evolved to nowadays is Like, maybe I'm running out the door
- 59:27and I check my app for Taro and I just pull a random card.
- 59:33Okay. I mean, there's probably people
- 59:36who are like, you didn't create a Sacred Space and this, and
- 59:38that. And I'm like, but I did, you
- 59:40know, I took a moment to sort of breathe and clear my head.
- 59:43I was, you know, driving with my husband somewhere, I had a
- 59:48question, whatever, like I nurtured myself spiritually.
- 59:52So, Like, there are tools that you can utilize spiritually.
- 59:59If you are feeling burned out, it doesn't have to be sit down
- 1:00:06at my altar line up on my crystals, light my candles, you
- 1:00:10know, I don't have the opportunity to do that.
- 1:00:17And I have to be like a formal event, right?
- 1:00:21I do believe in clearing your head space before you access any
- 1:00:27energy like that. But yeah, like I I think a lot
- 1:00:33of us, we feel like there's pressure to Do that to just be
- 1:00:39like, well, you know, I I've been out all day and I didn't
- 1:00:44have time to set up my altar so like forget it.
- 1:00:47I'm just gonna Go to bed or I'm just gonna keep watching TV or
- 1:00:53whatever, not engage. Yeah, like doing the complete
- 1:00:58opposite of The Other Extreme. Yes, you know going too hard and
- 1:01:03then that's that's when opposite that's one extreme and then you
- 1:01:05have the opposite of that as not doing anything at all.
- 1:01:08Not even trying and putting forth any effort.
- 1:01:12And I got to thinking about to I don't know if you've ever
- 1:01:14experienced this with I'm sure there's people that have been in
- 1:01:19your life who admire you write. That look up to you.
- 1:01:26And when they see things that you do to whatever degree,
- 1:01:30right? Even if it's just a social media
- 1:01:32post or whatever like they have this, they have this vision of
- 1:01:37you, they they Envision you as a certain thing, right?
- 1:01:39And they feel like they're that they're falling short because
- 1:01:45they're not doing the things that you're doing.
- 1:01:47You know what I mean? Have you ever experienced that
- 1:01:51comparing yourself or yeah, I'm comparing themselves.
- 1:01:55Like yes, they see this source of inspiration and they are like
- 1:02:01I want to be that I want to be just like that or they go.
- 1:02:05I want what you've got. I want with that person has and
- 1:02:11I've been victim of that to I've been, like, I see, you know,
- 1:02:15over the years, the way, you know, someone's houses or their
- 1:02:21aesthetic or just the way they are, you know, project
- 1:02:24themselves online on social media, and I learned very
- 1:02:28quickly, you know, not everything that you see is
- 1:02:30what's really happened. Actually, you're only seeing a
- 1:02:34portion of it, you're seeing a side of this person's life.
- 1:02:37This isn't 100%, always there reality, they're going to have
- 1:02:41bad. Bad days, she's gets messy with
- 1:02:43them to just like it does with us.
- 1:02:45So so you know, I think some of the things that we talked about
- 1:02:49burnout is if you're always trying to achieve something that
- 1:02:53you think is the ideal lifestyle and you're basing that off of
- 1:02:58what you see online or what you see someone just sharing about
- 1:03:01on their social media, that's an unrealistic goal to attain.
- 1:03:04Absolutely you can't you can't do that and then it feels in
- 1:03:09fulfilled and Richard of course you're going to Burnt out
- 1:03:12because you're striving for something that doesn't exist.
- 1:03:16I have been I earlier this year, listen to a great book about
- 1:03:20this called something like how to make house when you're
- 1:03:23drowning or something like that. I was in this support group for
- 1:03:28women on Discord but like, and everybody was listening to it
- 1:03:32anyways, so we're like this is so great because the author is
- 1:03:36really like you're not lazy, you know, you're just human.
- 1:03:40Like if you If you have a laundry system, your laundry
- 1:03:43doesn't get perfectly folded and put away.
- 1:03:46You're just taking it from the dryer.
- 1:03:48Hey, you have a working laundry system.
- 1:03:50I'll tell you that. I like your clothes.
- 1:03:52Get clean. You wear them.
- 1:03:54Like, that's just reality. Or there was like something
- 1:03:59else. I was reading.
- 1:04:00Where am I kind of lost my train of thought, but like my point is
- 1:04:04just, how is this are meant to be lived in like they're meant
- 1:04:08to be lived in. And honestly, when you're seeing
- 1:04:11Content creators like show you their space at probably only
- 1:04:15looks like that 15 or 20 percent of the time for the content.
- 1:04:18Yeah. I gotta set the stage, you know?
- 1:04:21Yeah. Because houses are just like,
- 1:04:24you know, we eat and we sleep and go about our lives here and
- 1:04:30I'll tell you, I don't know, I don't, I don't feel very
- 1:04:32welcoming if I'm in someone's home, that's like spotless.
- 1:04:35I'm like paranoid, I'm like oh yeah, do they do anything here?
- 1:04:38Is this like a rental space that they are?
- 1:04:40They just showing This off for everybody to think certain like
- 1:04:44where do you live? Like how do you hmm.
- 1:04:46What do you do here? Like there's, you know, again
- 1:04:48moderation is key. You know, there's some people
- 1:04:50are more fastidious than others and other people's standards of
- 1:04:55cleanliness are a bit different, right?
- 1:04:58But as long as it's not like just, you know, a train wreck in
- 1:05:01your living room or it's, you know, you know, the roaches are
- 1:05:05vying for space. Yeah.
- 1:05:07Basic standards is getting done. You want to make sure that You
- 1:05:11know, sweeping and stuff and yeah, like I see some dust on a
- 1:05:15coffee table or on a shelf. No, I mean be like, well, this
- 1:05:19is what life's about, you know, it's not perfect and that's
- 1:05:23okay, don't stress it. But yeah, especially if you have
- 1:05:27kids. I mean, I mean I don't I don't
- 1:05:29have any kids myself but like, you know my my niece and stuff
- 1:05:33like my sister-in-law be like, I'm sorry or the pets, you know,
- 1:05:36the dog and stuff. And yeah, I'm like hey she's
- 1:05:40like three, it's okay. Okay, what age are nice is going
- 1:05:44to be 2 in September and we've got three dogs.
- 1:05:48Uh-huh. So, there you go.
- 1:05:50I mean, when it comes to like our standard of cleanliness,
- 1:05:54it's like, well, at least there's not, you know, piles of
- 1:05:57fur in the corner like a little bit of dust here.
- 1:06:00Some toys throwing around right? You know, what's it's fine?
- 1:06:04Yeah. So, but yeah, don't don't some
- 1:06:08so like I don't When people talk about, you know, the burnout
- 1:06:13thing. It's sometimes you just put in
- 1:06:14too much into the things that almost don't matter.
- 1:06:16Like, exactly. Don't try to live like me.
- 1:06:19I mean, great if I'm being inspiring and and there are
- 1:06:22things about what I'm saying or doing that inspire you to find
- 1:06:26some sort of fulfillment in that way than do it.
- 1:06:29But, I mean, don't try to copy me, don't Don't Be Me, Be
- 1:06:34Yourself. Yes you are.
- 1:06:35You and everybody is unique and yeah like everybody.
- 1:06:40Has something to offer. So yep, they're just part of
- 1:06:44that. I think it's part of that study.
- 1:06:48You know, I'm Lena. I'm reflecting a bit on the
- 1:06:50cards and I'm probably butchering some of the context
- 1:06:53but also the king, you know, reading his books and in that
- 1:06:59Library, you know, where all this knowledge is accessible,
- 1:07:03you know, and it's boy, you could, you could, you could
- 1:07:06drown yourself in those Waters, you could become so engrossed
- 1:07:10with trying. To find the answer that.
- 1:07:11When it's smack-dab in front of your face you can't see it and
- 1:07:16sometimes that's all it takes. Sometimes it takes us.
- 1:07:19Sometimes it takes, is the the time to pull back, get out of
- 1:07:25that mess, get out of the muck and just evaluate things, you
- 1:07:28know, take that time away. If you're so engrossed with
- 1:07:31something, not meaning you, I'm just saying like to the piano Us
- 1:07:35in general. Like, we're so engrossed in
- 1:07:36things that we are that are that are our lives with other people
- 1:07:42or just our quality of life of suffering, then.
- 1:07:45I think it's time that we reevaluate?
- 1:07:47Yes, I talk all, it course. Corrections, you know, a hundred
- 1:07:50percent. I think that's what the 9 of
- 1:07:52Wands was talking about to, it's like, it's definitely time.
- 1:07:57So just make a call but like I feel that with like the being
- 1:08:04engrossed and studying and everything we're like I mean
- 1:08:10that's how Pharmacy has been for me at certain points.
- 1:08:14There's also ADHD and my family we can definitely hyper focus on
- 1:08:18topics. Very intensely that's how like
- 1:08:22video games have been at a certain point for me.
- 1:08:25There was one point in my life. Life where the trading card
- 1:08:30game. I talked about with you.
- 1:08:31That's all that would get me out of bed in the day like I
- 1:08:34couldn't even get up but I would to get my daily login and like
- 1:08:38to play, like that was the only thing that kept me going.
- 1:08:44So, while I think it can keep you pushing on and everything,
- 1:08:49it's like, There's the again, the balance that was it come to
- 1:08:56this. How is it come to the?
- 1:08:57I was like, how has it come to? I'm just playing this card game.
- 1:09:03A lot of it had to do with my living situation.
- 1:09:05I think we could talk about like environment to.
- 1:09:08There are a lot of issues going on out of my control like with
- 1:09:11my family. But like I also think it's
- 1:09:17really important when you're in too deep, you definitely just
- 1:09:21have to remember stereotypical if it's not, okay, it's not the
- 1:09:26end. I like to think that.
- 1:09:29Yeah, if it really isn't the end, if everything isn't okay,
- 1:09:33then it probably isn't the end. You have a lot of different
- 1:09:36options like you're going to get through it, resources, whatever
- 1:09:40to help, you know, make it. Yeah.
- 1:09:42You're going to make it. Hmm.
- 1:09:44And I've had a lot of things, you know, because I do this
- 1:09:49stuff here on the podcast, you know, and I have a Cadence that
- 1:09:52I do it in. I've fallen victim of feeling
- 1:09:59the obligation to do something, just because I've set that
- 1:10:02expectation and again, moderation, right?
- 1:10:05There's a fine line. Yes, I do have an obligation.
- 1:10:08I do have a responsibility to fulfill things because that's
- 1:10:12the expectation, I've set, but that, that responsibility, and
- 1:10:16that obligation doesn't measure up nearly, as much as say, my
- 1:10:19obligation to my, my wife, or my family, or my tribe, you know
- 1:10:23what I mean? Like, there's a different
- 1:10:24Barrel, easy. A different measure that were
- 1:10:26that were stacking things up against and so if I get busy one
- 1:10:31week or if I'm just not feeling it or really anything, it's kind
- 1:10:35of like a guy I used to be at a place where I would be I would
- 1:10:39feel really, really bad about not doing a podcast for a week
- 1:10:44or two weeks or whatever. And I would feel like I'm
- 1:10:46letting these people down and then I realized, Well, no, I'm
- 1:10:50doing this for myself because I can't I can't do you know
- 1:10:53anything of quality if I'm still be here, like forcing it.
- 1:10:57And that's what I think. That's a part of of burnout to
- 1:11:01is, you know, you feel like I just have to do this for
- 1:11:04whatever reason looking in. You have a sense of obligation
- 1:11:06or the sense of responsibility and then soon, that that that
- 1:11:11takes over and you're like, no, fuck it, I'm not doing it
- 1:11:13anymore and you lose the fire and you go just on, I'm done.
- 1:11:18Oh yeah, be careful with that. That you know you are recently
- 1:11:20took that week off to go to the beach or whatever.
- 1:11:23I was happy for you. I was like, that's awesome.
- 1:11:26Like it's probably going to be so fun and so relaxing and I
- 1:11:30just listened to my other podcasts like no big deal.
- 1:11:33I was like, he's taking much needed time off.
- 1:11:36I think you just hit like some Milestone or something and I was
- 1:11:38like yeah. Like well that was a that was a
- 1:11:42much-needed time because I you know back in April when I lost
- 1:11:47my dad might I'm away from the podcast.
- 1:11:51Was spent going to back to New York and spend time up there.
- 1:11:55And then I came right back after that and went back to work.
- 1:11:59And so, yeah, sure it was two weeks off of work, you know.
- 1:12:03But considering what the purpose and the reason of why I was
- 1:12:07there, I didn't get a break II. If anything, I had more, you
- 1:12:11know, things Weighing on my mind and on my heart then if I hadn't
- 1:12:16taken off. So it did it reached the point?
- 1:12:19Where I'm like, I just need to not do anything.
- 1:12:21I need to forget that there's a page, a channel, a podcast.
- 1:12:25And I just need to look at the water for a week or have my, you
- 1:12:28know, anything and if that's what it takes.
- 1:12:32You know, then do it right? I said before, you know, don't
- 1:12:35be afraid to take that break at that mental vacation, just
- 1:12:38disconnect for a while, right? You know, and if it requires you
- 1:12:42to make that big thing, you know, just do a hard reset and
- 1:12:46unplug everything. Yeah, I mean, that's what it
- 1:12:49takes. Yeah.
- 1:12:51And I mean, you know, like, I was supposed to be on this show
- 1:12:54a little earlier even, but then my grandfather passed on the 9th
- 1:12:58and like we had a lot of time to prepare for.
- 1:13:02He did have a lot of chronic health issues, okay.
- 1:13:05Still, that's a patriarchal figure.
- 1:13:08Yes, passing and like, I had all of these readings lined up for
- 1:13:14like, my friends and my family and I was working through them
- 1:13:17so slowly and it usually would happen in the afternoons.
- 1:13:20I would do so good during the mornings.
- 1:13:22It would get to be about like two or three.
- 1:13:24And I was like, I just can't anymore and I would just like
- 1:13:27take my comfort food to bed and like you know, put something on
- 1:13:31TV. Go on a walk, whatever.
- 1:13:35And like I'd even like put my phone on silent mode, like you.
- 1:13:38No, no. I don't want to talk to anybody
- 1:13:40right now and it was, I mean his funeral this past week, it was
- 1:13:47definitely very. It was just peaceful like,
- 1:13:50finally laying him to rest and I really have felt like going back
- 1:13:55into my line of work with the cards and everything.
- 1:13:59It's like, okay, I'm ready. Now, and yeah, like, it was very
- 1:14:07hard, but like, I talked to my grandma this morning, she's
- 1:14:12doing. Okay, that's good.
- 1:14:15Yeah. Like family becomes really
- 1:14:17important around this x perspective changes.
- 1:14:20You know, things get things, get brought back into Focus.
- 1:14:23I think, I think anybody who's a anyone who's experienced a close
- 1:14:27loss, can definitely relate to that.
- 1:14:32The the perspective of life in general, just where the
- 1:14:35importance of things land for us, it shifts, it changes after
- 1:14:40the loss of someone so close like that.
- 1:14:44And I think that's part of the lesson, you know, dealing with
- 1:14:48burnout. It's it happens to all of us.
- 1:14:50You're not exempt from it. No one's exempt from.
- 1:14:52And we're not saying that here are your top 10, you know,
- 1:14:56druidic and Heathen, tips to avoid burnout.
- 1:15:00Look, guys, it's gonna happen. You got it.
- 1:15:01You're gonna bit, you're going to get fed up.
- 1:15:04I really think you just need to do what you need to do.
- 1:15:06If that's like my way of coping with my grandfather, seriously
- 1:15:10was just YouTube, French bread and like, butter.
- 1:15:13That's what I did. Like, that's how I coped.
- 1:15:16Yeah, I was like, I just need this right now and I allowed
- 1:15:21myself and I feel better. And I'm back to my like regular
- 1:15:26eating habits now because I gave myself that time.
- 1:15:28So see, that's a good point, too.
- 1:15:31I mean, catharsis the way it happens can, can it be some of
- 1:15:37the most random and odds seemingly odd ways?
- 1:15:40You know, I mean, When I walk Barefoot on the ground, you
- 1:15:44know, that's cathartic it. Oh yeah, it's it's, you know,
- 1:15:48but in other people be like, who weirdo?
- 1:15:50Yeah, maybe it'll work for some people, but maybe not, but, or
- 1:15:53maybe they just haven't, maybe they just haven't reached the
- 1:15:56point in their lives, where they realize how it works and
- 1:15:59believing that it works and actually putting forth the
- 1:16:02effort to want it to work, right?
- 1:16:04You know what I mean? Like, I can, I can sit here
- 1:16:06until somebody who doesn't believe in runic magic, all day
- 1:16:10long. About how my my castings.
- 1:16:12Have impacted people's lives, maybe like a honky a cool story
- 1:16:15bro, whatever. Yeah.
- 1:16:16But if the so if they don't believe it is it real to them?
- 1:16:20No, it's not real to them because they don't believe it.
- 1:16:22And you got to have a sense of belief that there has to be
- 1:16:26that, that spark, I think in us that says it is true.
- 1:16:32Yeah. Believes it is true.
- 1:16:34Yeah. So when we do those things,
- 1:16:36where we're weaving that magic, once again, to make it manifest
- 1:16:42Amanda, Tested, you know how much is reading it from a book
- 1:16:45because some cool guy. Whatever years ago said that
- 1:16:48this is a good idea, I'm applying it because speaks to me
- 1:16:51and it's something that Within Myself with is in my soul is a,
- 1:16:55it's it resonates. But I look at my tarot.
- 1:16:58I'm thinking back to, wow, you know, this is something that's
- 1:17:01like almost 700 years old. I mean, think of the different
- 1:17:04figures that have held these cards like, how its developed I
- 1:17:11mean, All were hanged for it. They were burned for it like
- 1:17:15yeah. Yeah.
- 1:17:17Like it's really powerful shit. So yeah, and the cool thing
- 1:17:23about tarot to at least from a lot of the materials I've been
- 1:17:27studying and reading and following is just a like you
- 1:17:33don't necessarily have to be psychic.
- 1:17:36A lot of it really is just intuition.
- 1:17:38Like you look at your room you look at your card.
- 1:17:41What does that involve? Oh, can you what kinds of
- 1:17:43feelings? What kind of words and imagery
- 1:17:46come to mind and like, the rest is kind of takes care of itself.
- 1:17:49It's really crazy how it happens every time.
- 1:17:51But yeah, I think if if I, you know and that's one of the
- 1:17:58things too, like I don't know if you've seen this in some of your
- 1:18:03Like online boards and whatnot. But do people share like their
- 1:18:07own Taro spreads and in like some stuff that you're involved
- 1:18:11in. Like did you see people online
- 1:18:13like sharing their Taro spreads and asking for interpretations
- 1:18:17or hey, this is what I see. What do you see?
- 1:18:19Or is it, is it? Like, I've seen that with the
- 1:18:21runes like people be like goes, I drew, you know, three sauce on
- 1:18:25soos and when yo, what does this mean?
- 1:18:27And yeah, well, you're going to get, however, many people are in
- 1:18:30this group, like if every single one of them answers, you're
- 1:18:32probably going to get well, how many different answers?
- 1:18:35What does it say to you to everybody, right?
- 1:18:38How I interpreted the tower? Somebody could probably
- 1:18:40interpret that a lot more negatively.
- 1:18:42Just depending on like, what kind of reader they are.
- 1:18:46Well, the context of the draw, right?
- 1:18:48Except the draw? Yeah.
- 1:18:49Like, what question are we answering if it was a question
- 1:18:52about a relationship like poof? Yeah, probably probs not good,
- 1:18:58but like hopeful in the sense that like, you got some
- 1:19:01experiences out of it and Maybe it could be rebuilt as like, how
- 1:19:05I would interpret that in a relationship so like, yeah, I
- 1:19:11don't know. But I do see people sharing,
- 1:19:14like one woman on our community. She shared help.
- 1:19:18I drew like seven or eight cards.
- 1:19:20They're all reversed. This has never happened before.
- 1:19:22That would probably freak me out.
- 1:19:25I don't really, I rarely work with reversed cards.
- 1:19:28It's just kind of a preference right now.
- 1:19:31I would probably freak out because a Lot of people when
- 1:19:34they see reversed their like, it's - it's this and that, but
- 1:19:39like, reversals don't always have to be negative either,
- 1:19:41sometimes they're actually more positive.
- 1:19:43So everybody was just kind of commenting.
- 1:19:45Like, it's okay that's happened to me too.
- 1:19:48Or like, you know, this and that and the other thing.
- 1:19:51Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:19:54I've seen, you know, runes, get bold or castings done and those
- 1:20:01who have done. Rennick divination for years,
- 1:20:07will comment on something and there are nuances that are
- 1:20:11shared you know, and similarities that other people
- 1:20:13that get brought into it that will maybe look at it and give
- 1:20:16their put their two cents in, you know, find find common
- 1:20:20ground with but in many cases the the one person's read on the
- 1:20:26runes is different than the other person's and they're all
- 1:20:28the same runes. You know, it's like well you
- 1:20:31know, if you get somebody who reads them, Left to right.
- 1:20:34Let's say, you know, it's going to be totally a totally
- 1:20:38different story than from someone who reads them right to
- 1:20:40left, right, or who doesn't have any format of reading them, they
- 1:20:43may be look at them in the sense of well, which one came closest
- 1:20:46to the person who you were casting for.
- 1:20:49Or you know, what time of day was it?
- 1:20:52I don't know. I'm just, you know, know stuff
- 1:20:54like that actor though. And then like with tarot you can
- 1:20:57even get into well what star sign or whatever.
- 1:21:02Is this is this like a An Aries or a torus or I mean it just
- 1:21:06gets crazy. You tell you can, you can like,
- 1:21:11we all agree, there's like keywords.
- 1:21:12There's like key meanings to these cards but Yeah.
- 1:21:20Like it's really cool because you just can kind of put your
- 1:21:22personality into it. I've heard that too.
- 1:21:26Yeah, you know, somebody reading the your your cards that you
- 1:21:29read them versus the next person who has their cards, how they
- 1:21:32read them, you get that their element, you know, their
- 1:21:38personality, their their style and for the rooms especially you
- 1:21:43know, again they have they all have their inherent meaning like
- 1:21:46you know, feyo Wealth, you know, right?
- 1:21:50Okay, it doesn't mean much, right?
- 1:21:52But really like what are we talking about here?
- 1:21:54We're looking at a spread or at a casting or a drawer or
- 1:21:57something, you know? And it may not literally mean
- 1:22:02cattle in the literal sense. It has esoteric or metaphysical
- 1:22:07meanings that we like to associate them with and and
- 1:22:10whether that's you know, rooted in anything super ancient or not
- 1:22:14it has definitely that method has proven to work for naught.
- 1:22:18Just me but others too. Yeah.
- 1:22:20So what's wrong with that? You know?
- 1:22:23Right. And with kind of Coming.
- 1:22:25I was I mentioned one time. Like oh wow we got all these
- 1:22:28room poems. You know, we got a Norwegian
- 1:22:29room poem and Anglo-Saxon room poem.
- 1:22:31We got a and Icelandic room poem I mentioned.
- 1:22:35I said what someone would tell Michael what about what about
- 1:22:37our room poems? What kind of Room Palms.
- 1:22:40Are we writing? And it's not to try to take away
- 1:22:44from what those those characters represent, but I guess my point
- 1:22:50being was, are we breathing new life into this?
- 1:22:54Seemingly older or semi ancient way of trying to get a sense of
- 1:22:59things, you know? I mean, at one point in time,
- 1:23:02whether it was runes, or whether it was just sticks with symbols
- 1:23:04carved on them cards, or, or tea leaves, or Fire or anything.
- 1:23:10In the Divination has been a very present component in human
- 1:23:15existence for a very long time. And so I would love to learn how
- 1:23:20to read tea leaves. I think that is so cool.
- 1:23:23I don't know much about that at all though.
- 1:23:25I know nothing about it. I just know I did something and
- 1:23:27I'm like, that's crazy. You know, like the fires crying
- 1:23:31I think is another one or, or is there one with, like, mirrors to
- 1:23:35like, like, actually what I do to you during my readings, I do
- 1:23:37like some smokes crying. So because I'm vaping so, oh,
- 1:23:42cool. Yeah, I was just like, I never
- 1:23:44told ya, I'm like, why the hell no ii-i'm like breathing life
- 1:23:47over these cards? Like, you know, I might as well
- 1:23:49try to discern us cry. So, how's that work for you?
- 1:23:57You keep going back to doing it, or is it like, well, that was
- 1:23:59weird. I won't do that again or has it
- 1:24:01given you like a perspective to pursue that element in your, in
- 1:24:05your readings, definitely? Because I mean I was an Earth
- 1:24:08element, as a Taurus. I'm very like I love the earth,
- 1:24:11I love the ground, I hate the wind.
- 1:24:15When it gets windy. I hate it gets my hair.
- 1:24:18All tangled, you know, it rocks the house.
- 1:24:21So I was like, okay, well like I can't because where I live?
- 1:24:25live, I can't burn incense inside which sucks, but I can
- 1:24:30vape and I'm like, okay, and I just got the idea from like my
- 1:24:35grimoire one day because they have like guided Like Journal,
- 1:24:41prompts whatever. And it's like, try smokes,
- 1:24:43crying. And she had the example of like
- 1:24:46a candle, and I was like, well, I can't do that, but I'm vaping
- 1:24:49so I might as well. Yeah, you just, you just try to
- 1:24:52see like images and stuff. Yeah, make it work.
- 1:24:55I know your own way, you know, our, our friend of mine.
- 1:25:00He's our brother and our tribe. He's a fool.
- 1:25:02And he's also a Taurus. And, and then I'm a Scorpio are.
- 1:25:07Goethe is a Libra, my wife, Sally, ohh, Nice.
- 1:25:11So yeah, our charts are all over the place.
- 1:25:14You look at like how some of our charts like If you enter like
- 1:25:21astrology at all, but like how the charts?
- 1:25:22Can sometimes create ourselves? Not very good at it.
- 1:25:25Yeah. Like there was one one time who
- 1:25:30he still a dear friend of mine and he used to be our go there,
- 1:25:34but he's a, he's a Scorpio as well.
- 1:25:36And both of our charts when you combine them literally look like
- 1:25:39a hammer like a mule Nur. It was like very very
- 1:25:42definitive. Yeah.
- 1:25:44And like the one between me and our current go.
- 1:25:48The right now it's very Angular very Rocky.
- 1:25:50And I'm like, this is interesting, you know?
- 1:25:52Yeah. He's the, the Libra and I'm the
- 1:25:56Scorpio, but with his chart him and I forget who else.
- 1:25:59But his, his chart looks like a bow and arrow like like a, like
- 1:26:03a drawn bow and arrow. Uh-huh.
- 1:26:05It's really interesting. That's cool.
- 1:26:08I thought he was like a Sagittarius or something, but
- 1:26:12maybe his moon is in sagittarii. Don't remember, I, I know, is I
- 1:26:15know I'm like a Taurus, Virgo, Virgo.
- 1:26:17But I don't know much about like my Rising.
- 1:26:19NG and stuff like that, how that I'm a Scorpio Rising my son's in
- 1:26:24Scorpio, but my moon is in Gemini, aha, so I got that
- 1:26:28double Scorpio thing going on. Hmm, which makes it difficult
- 1:26:30for people sometimes, but yeah, it's always fun.
- 1:26:34You know? Yeah, astrology is really fun
- 1:26:36sometimes. Like I read things and I'm like,
- 1:26:38okay no. But for the most part, that's
- 1:26:43such a tourist. No, I don't like the thing about
- 1:26:46Taurus liking food. That's definitely true.
- 1:26:49That's a comfort thing for us. Like when in doubt, maybe some
- 1:26:53good food will like help a little bit, right?
- 1:26:55But like I think that's just certain people man.
- 1:26:59Like I hate that's a comfort for me.
- 1:27:00Like if I can get a good meal in me, then it's like those old
- 1:27:05Snickers commercials. You know, you're not yourself
- 1:27:08when you're you're not yourself, when you're angry, when you're
- 1:27:10hungry, just being mortal, you know, you have your low blood
- 1:27:14sugar and you got to take care of yourself and stuff and yeah.
- 1:27:19Yeah, like astrology is really cool though.
- 1:27:22I just checked my phone and the Moon is a little over half wax
- 1:27:28that's under Libra right now. Just so that's cool.
- 1:27:32My sister-in-law is a Libra and she's like a therapist so she
- 1:27:36does really good at like balancing your your, you know,
- 1:27:40your strengths and your weaknesses.
- 1:27:42So yeah, that's an important thing to therapy, you know,
- 1:27:46being yeah, maybe not going necessarily going to it.
- 1:27:49Because I was just thinking like burnout and right, how sometimes
- 1:27:52we can't take care of ourselves, sometimes we need that that
- 1:27:55extra component that third party, that unbiased person to
- 1:28:02help us out and that's okay. Definitely therapy can
- 1:28:06definitely really hope I've done group or individual and they're
- 1:28:09both pretty good. And then you like it to a point
- 1:28:12sometimes where it's like, all right.
- 1:28:15Like I have done a lot of work here, I think I'm okay now or I
- 1:28:19mean, if you can't afford therapy and I mean there's
- 1:28:23self-help books, there's a lot of support groups that are free
- 1:28:26like I don't go to AA meetings but those are free.
- 1:28:30Yeah. You know, like there are
- 1:28:33definitely a lot of resources. So it's so it's so accessible
- 1:28:38to, you know, for any and every type, I go to the library, like,
- 1:28:42the libraries for you. I love the library.
- 1:28:46He I've heard both sides of, you know, that argument people who I
- 1:28:50know that will find every reason and excuse why they can't get
- 1:28:56the help. that they need, you know, and I'm like Is it that
- 1:29:03you can't or that you won't it's that they won't trust you know.
- 1:29:06And yeah you know because if you got a and you know that's the
- 1:29:11ugly part of ourselves that is hard to yep.
- 1:29:14Face. When you're being confronted
- 1:29:16with the ugly truth, you know that's just like that's human
- 1:29:22nature. Yeah.
- 1:29:23Yeah. It's human nature stuff.
- 1:29:25Defend ourselves like my dad is that's him.
- 1:29:29I mean and that's Sucks. It's just like, well, I can't do
- 1:29:34the work for you though. So exactly.
- 1:29:37You know, I wonder half the time some, you know, with some of the
- 1:29:40experiences I've had maybe not half the time, but in some of
- 1:29:43the experiences that I've had, I'm walking away from the
- 1:29:46encounter going. Were you expecting me to like,
- 1:29:51like do this for every this for you?
- 1:29:54Where you just, I mean, you know, your left there wondering,
- 1:29:56like, what the heck just happened here?
- 1:29:58Like, okay. You're venting like, you're
- 1:30:01clearly venting. Like, Get that.
- 1:30:02And so I'm not going to say a whole lot, but then you're
- 1:30:05almost like feeling like they're expecting a response and in such
- 1:30:08a way that they feel like, oh yeah, you could you take this
- 1:30:11for me or could you do this for me?
- 1:30:13And I'm just over here going. No, right?
- 1:30:15Yes, this is your ship. You gotta say little man, right?
- 1:30:19I'll help when I can, but I'm not gonna do it.
- 1:30:21I can't do this for you. I think, for his reading because
- 1:30:26like, sometimes I'll be like, here's a little homework.
- 1:30:28No, it's just if you want to, like, meditate on.
- 1:30:32Thing for a few minutes or maybe there's like a little journaling
- 1:30:35prompt. I'll be like he, hey, like
- 1:30:37journal on this. I think I just told him to like,
- 1:30:43reflect on, whatever he was afraid of doing.
- 1:30:45Like I know he's not going to do it and it's like, do I still
- 1:30:48sleep at night? Of course, I do like because,
- 1:30:52you know, like I can't control that and you love that person,
- 1:30:57they mean so much to you, but Like they got to do it, click on
- 1:31:03about the working selves. Yeah.
- 1:31:04Like there's something about them that really blocks their
- 1:31:09ability to like love themselves. So And we all get into those
- 1:31:15times, I think, you know, just some people worse than others or
- 1:31:17more intense than others, you know, taking care of ourselves
- 1:31:21on yourself. Some people just really when
- 1:31:23they don't love themselves, they hate themselves.
- 1:31:26Yeah. And they hate themselves hard to
- 1:31:29the point that they, they, they withdraw, they, they pull away
- 1:31:32and it's like, man, that ain't the way, dude.
- 1:31:36Like that, ain't, that ain't it. If I understand like, how
- 1:31:40Solitude can be healing, it's like Like when I do the like
- 1:31:44runic stuff, whenever I see, Esau ice.
- 1:31:47I look at that as its Stillness Its Reflection.
- 1:31:53You know, because the water now is like the mirror and it's
- 1:31:56introspection, you know, you got to go inward but you also can't
- 1:32:00stay there too long because it can stagnate and it can become
- 1:32:04yes, vile. And you can become so lost in
- 1:32:07your own self that you've lost sight of the next cycle, the
- 1:32:12era, the The the harvest, the time to move right to allow that
- 1:32:16movement in that change to happen.
- 1:32:17And some people really I've come to learn have have a real tough
- 1:32:23time. Breaking through that ice.
- 1:32:24Yeah, they become Frozen in Time as it were and they can't get
- 1:32:28past it. And it's it takes a lot of
- 1:32:30chipping away and it's so the layers.
- 1:32:32I'm like, you know, it's just want to do what you can, but
- 1:32:36honestly, the best thing to do is just to be there to, just be
- 1:32:40there like to be present for them.
- 1:32:44Yeah, that's hard. Yeah definitely.
- 1:32:48This has been a great show. I've been having a lot of fun,
- 1:32:53you know? I think I think the people
- 1:32:54listening and watching will hopefully, take some of what we
- 1:32:57said. I know we went off in a lot of
- 1:32:58different directions but coming back to the same, you know, the
- 1:33:02burnout right? And I think yeah, are sharing
- 1:33:04some similar thoughts and we've shared our own life experiences
- 1:33:07with people to give them Insight of.
- 1:33:10Well, here's some ways, maybe to deal with it.
- 1:33:13I'm not saying that you're going to avoid it.
- 1:33:15I don't think that's what we're trying to say.
- 1:33:16You're not going to avoid it, but here's how Deal with it.
- 1:33:18When you encounter these moments in your life, you know, step
- 1:33:23back, take care of yourself, take care of yourself, is what I
- 1:33:27was going to say. Because yeah, like somebody
- 1:33:28taught me that a long time ago and like, I've never forgotten
- 1:33:33it. Like, yeah, if you don't you
- 1:33:35can't pour from an empty cup like there it is?
- 1:33:38Yeah, people care of yourself. You can't take care of your
- 1:33:41family or anyone. So, yeah, anyone that you, that
- 1:33:45that may look up to you or that may have, you know, unn
- 1:33:48Admiration or that you just want to be there for like you can't
- 1:33:51be that person for them if your you say you know running on
- 1:33:55empty. So I definitely take care of
- 1:33:57yourself and I didn't know did was there it was there a part
- 1:34:01two of the there's an already hard.
- 1:34:03Yeah so we had our five card Tarot pole.
- 1:34:06So I'll just give a brief explanation of what Oracle decks
- 1:34:09are. Oracle decks are much more
- 1:34:10casual than Taro. I mean, you could have Angel
- 1:34:13Moon. We're doing a moon or a cold
- 1:34:15deck today. Yeah.
- 1:34:18Yeah. Like the ancient gods you could
- 1:34:20do like Egyptian or Norris or whatever Native American and
- 1:34:24they're much more. Casual in the sense that they
- 1:34:25usually just give like advice, but they're still pretty crazy
- 1:34:29accurate at like reading situations, I found.
- 1:34:33So we had the Five Card spread, we're going to conclude with,
- 1:34:36like what should we do with the insights that we've gotten from
- 1:34:43Tarot deck, right? Forgot who full moon in Leo,
- 1:34:50don't let pride get in your way. Yeah, that's good.
- 1:34:56I think that's good. That can definitely be the thing
- 1:35:00that stops us from advancing. Is our own Pride.
- 1:35:04Yeah, he's mentioned that just little while ago right like
- 1:35:08those unsavory Parts, the things that we don't like to hear about
- 1:35:10ourselves its inherent in us to be super defensive and be like
- 1:35:15well absolutely justify it. You know there's yeah selling
- 1:35:20yourself short and then kind of Being too confident.
- 1:35:27I'm trying to find this place in the guidebook but And then I'll
- 1:35:31take a photo so that we can show ya.
- 1:35:36Where is it what the heck? Well, this is a great moment of
- 1:35:41the podcast, right? Yeah.
- 1:35:43It's real life, guys. Like this is, this is a really,
- 1:35:46I'm not eating any of this right now.
- 1:35:48Normally, I'm normally, when you see people through Collective
- 1:35:50readings on YouTube, they have the time to like, edit and Kaia
- 1:35:53and everything, I'm like, write notes down.
- 1:35:55Yeah, this is happening in real life.
- 1:35:58This is real time. I'll We write down notes for our
- 1:36:02reading to so that I'll post them in the comments or
- 1:36:06something like yeah, you guys. So have you been letting your
- 1:36:10pride become an obstacle? Leo energy is all about the
- 1:36:15heart because it's the king of the jungle.
- 1:36:21So when, when Leo's energy is combined with the full moon
- 1:36:24though, it kind of goes over the top.
- 1:36:29See. It's a time to find a balance
- 1:36:34between your own needs and the needs of the people around you.
- 1:36:37Hey, that's like the theme of podcast.
- 1:36:39Kinda yes. Yes, this will help all of your
- 1:36:42relationships. Additional meetings here.
- 1:36:46Self-esteem is good. Vanity is not.
- 1:36:49Everyone is equally important definitely.
- 1:36:53If you were feeling like doing something creative this weekend,
- 1:36:55this card says go for it. Oh, and maybe for someone a
- 1:37:00friendship might be ending. Yeah.
- 1:37:03There's multiple meanings for this card.
- 1:37:05So maybe with that Spirit card, making a decision or something.
- 1:37:13I don't know. Yeah, like it, our there is.
- 1:37:15Is there again, you know? Yeah.
- 1:37:17Like there's a lot of, that's true.
- 1:37:19Like, relationships are constantly changing and people
- 1:37:21are coming and going. So someone could be going
- 1:37:23through that and this week. A lot.
- 1:37:29Yeah, this Oracle deck is awesome.
- 1:37:32A lot to a lot to meditate on lot to chew on, you know, for
- 1:37:36everyone listening and I mean, for me, for sure.
- 1:37:38So, appreciate you being first of all, you know, thinking of it
- 1:37:41and coming up with the idea and then living it out.

- 1:38:48Because I think sometimes people are just so original.
