Speaker 1: On Saturday, Seattle turned out an effort worthy of two
0:26
Speaker 1: points against the Detroit Red Wings. However, it was more
0:29
Speaker 1: of the same and the results column for the Kraken,
0:32
Speaker 1: who dropped their fifth game in a row. The team's
0:34
Speaker 1: traded goals throughout the first forty minutes, skating to a
0:37
Speaker 1: two to two tie heading into the third, and it
0:40
Speaker 1: was Patrick came with two and a half minutes left
0:42
Speaker 1: to give the Red Wings a four to three lead
0:45
Speaker 1: they would not relinquish. Tonight, Seattle continues it's three game
0:49
Speaker 1: homestand against the Minnesota Wild, who have struggled in recent games,
0:54
Speaker 1: going just one, two and one in their last four.
0:57
Speaker 1: Following a ten game points good evening, Ladies and gentlemen
1:01
Speaker 1: welcome inside and climbing Pledge Arena alongside Al Koniski. I
1:05
Speaker 1: am evert Fitzhu. This is Seattle Kragon Hockey on the
1:08
Speaker 1: Global Credit Union Cracking Audio Network. You are listening to
1:11
Speaker 1: the pregame show served up by Frost Grow. Course, like
1:14
Speaker 1: Joe Chill al four nothing lost with a cracking against
1:18
Speaker 1: Edmonton last Saturday, nine four loss against Edmonton on Thursday,
1:23
Speaker 1: they needed a bounce back game.
1:24
Speaker 3: They got a bounce back effort.
1:27
Speaker 1: But as Laine.
1:27
Speaker 3: Lambert told us this morning, it was still.
1:30
Speaker 1: A few crucial mistakes in that game that led them
1:33
Speaker 1: with that four or three loss.
1:34
Speaker 4: Yeah.
1:35
Speaker 5: And that's the thing is, you went from an infant
1:37
Speaker 5: game of ninety four lost definite where there were a
1:39
Speaker 5: lot of mistakes and a four nothing lost where there
1:41
Speaker 5: are quite a few mistakes, to a lost against Detroit where.
1:44
Speaker 6: There were just a few ye and that was enough
1:46
Speaker 6: for Detroit to take the edge.
1:47
Speaker 1: One area where the craket really thrived against the Red
1:50
Speaker 1: Wings defense, scoring Seattle two goals and two assists from
1:54
Speaker 1: their blue line in that game. Overall in their last
1:57
Speaker 1: four four goals and three assists coming.
2:00
Speaker 3: From the back end.
2:00
Speaker 7: Yeah.
2:01
Speaker 5: Montour and Larson with goals last game, Larson and Done
2:03
Speaker 5: also with assist. This blue line gets about thirty percent
2:06
Speaker 5: of the points that are put up on the board
2:08
Speaker 5: throughout the season, and you know there are excuse me,
2:11
Speaker 5: Monts grabbing nine percent of the goals for the whole team,
2:14
Speaker 5: so they have to rely on scoring from the blue
2:16
Speaker 5: line to get it done.
2:18
Speaker 1: On the other side of the red line, it's been
2:20
Speaker 1: to Minnesota Wild one of the hottest teams in the
2:23
Speaker 1: NHL in the last calendar month. They're won two and
2:26
Speaker 1: one in their last four, but prior to that they
2:30
Speaker 1: were nine oho to one in their previous ten games.
2:33
Speaker 1: Their special teams has been rock solid as well. They
2:36
Speaker 1: have gone a perfect twenty three for twenty three.
2:39
Speaker 5: On the penalty kill their last nine games. Yeah, their
2:41
Speaker 5: penalty kill has been been fantastic. Matt Boldie and carill
2:44
Speaker 5: Care Caprizov have been fantastic. Boldie with a goal and
2:47
Speaker 5: assists the other night and their Saturday last This team
2:50
Speaker 5: that this tandem is one of the best in NHL history.

5:51

6:10
Speaker 3: You're with us. Mike Benton, with you back for the
6:12
Speaker 3: corpse Light landing in Section twenty with a Kraken coming
6:14
Speaker 3: in right now eleven nine and six and trying to
6:18
Speaker 3: stop a five game winless skid. Currently twenty eight points
6:21
Speaker 3: on the campaign, nastands three back at the cut line
6:24
Speaker 3: of the Western Conference in this game, number two of
6:27
Speaker 3: a three game homes dand Minnesota coming in fifteen nine
6:30
Speaker 3: and five point total app Thirty five, ending their four
6:34
Speaker 3: game road trip, and they're right now third place in
6:37
Speaker 3: the Central Division. With the Kraken trying to grab just
6:40
Speaker 3: their second win all time at home against Minnesota and
6:43
Speaker 3: improve on a four and eight head to head record. Well,
6:46
Speaker 3: this savening here. The mission is get off the slide
6:49
Speaker 3: that had the Kraken going the wrong way since well
6:51
Speaker 3: around Thanksgiving, because last game, a four to two loss
6:54
Speaker 3: at Detroit put them oh four and one in the
6:57
Speaker 3: last five games meeting, they're in for their first win
7:00
Speaker 3: since the twenty second of November against Pittsburgh in that
7:04
Speaker 3: string of four losses straight in regulation, the Kraken defense
7:08
Speaker 3: in that span giving up five goals a game that's
7:10
Speaker 3: most in the NHL PK also seven goals allowed last
7:14
Speaker 3: nine chances, and the power play as well just one
7:17
Speaker 3: of sixteen. So the Krack and trying to get back
7:19
Speaker 3: to their fundamentals of what put them out to a
7:21
Speaker 3: good start earlier here for this season. The offense though,
7:24
Speaker 3: is showing good signs of a U turn as well.
7:27
Speaker 3: They've scored seven goals last two games. But also, as
7:30
Speaker 3: ever written out talked about defense carrying a lot of
7:33
Speaker 3: the offense as well, especially in that game two nights ago,
7:36
Speaker 3: and the Krack of now fifty three points from defenseman
7:40
Speaker 3: that's twenty eight percent of their offense and that's four
7:42
Speaker 3: best right now in the NHL among team blue liners. Additionally,
7:46
Speaker 3: shot attempts. They put up most all season in each
7:49
Speaker 3: of the last two games, and against the Red Wings
7:51
Speaker 3: two nights ago they had seventy seven shot attempts, marking
7:55
Speaker 3: a season high. But although while they're trying to figure
7:58
Speaker 3: this out here miss a string of injury. Of course,
8:00
Speaker 3: Jayden Schwartz out three games lower body ailment for this evening.
8:04
Speaker 3: Noe Berkeley Catton he is week to week. He blocked
8:07
Speaker 3: a shot two nights ago against the Red Wings appear
8:10
Speaker 3: to be off his hand third period. That's what's put
8:13
Speaker 3: him out of commission, and the Kraken searching for answers
8:16
Speaker 3: with their forward core and their lineup once again. We're
8:19
Speaker 3: trying to put that into place here against Minnesota in
8:22
Speaker 3: their first of three meetings. The while come back here
8:25
Speaker 3: in January, and then the only trip out to Minnesota
8:28
Speaker 3: on the Kraken side that will come on April seventh,
8:31
Speaker 3: against a team that can put up a potential defensive
8:34
Speaker 3: fist fight. The Wild don't score much, and they have
8:37
Speaker 3: the seven fewest goals a game in the NHL at
8:40
Speaker 3: two point six, But defensively for them, they've always been strong.
8:43
Speaker 3: It starts to net shots allowed thirty per game. That's
8:47
Speaker 3: seventh most in the NHL, so goaltending, super strong team
8:51
Speaker 3: save percentage nine toh nine that is second best in
8:54
Speaker 3: the NHL and propped up by their duo of Yesper
8:57
Speaker 3: Volstad and Philip Gustafson, and the krack Ends certainly know
9:01
Speaker 3: if that feels that. Their last game was a four
9:03
Speaker 3: to nothing shutout loss against Minnesota last season back in March.
9:08
Speaker 3: Cracking story lines first up begin with Freddie Gudreaux facing
9:11
Speaker 3: his former team for the first time since the trade
9:14
Speaker 3: back in June for a fourth round draft pick, and
9:16
Speaker 3: Gadrou got deep into the weeds with a wild in
9:18
Speaker 3: his career, spent last four years with them, and last
9:21
Speaker 3: season was his third trip to the playoffs with Minnesota
9:25
Speaker 3: in his career, so certainly emotions at the forefront of
9:28
Speaker 3: this evening's game. Here's more and Goadri said he wasn't
9:31
Speaker 3: able to go out to dinner with his ex teammates
9:33
Speaker 3: last night, but yet he's still looking forward to battling
9:36
Speaker 3: familiar faces.
9:37
Speaker 11: A lot of people I loved them over there and
9:41
Speaker 11: a lot of really good memories, so that never changes.
9:46
Speaker 11: But it's just another game and my only focus is
9:49
Speaker 11: on my job and what I can do with on
9:52
Speaker 11: my team.
9:53
Speaker 3: Month second storyline Chandler Stevenson milestone game for him tonight.
9:58
Speaker 3: He'll play in the six hundredth game of his NHL career.
10:01
Speaker 3: He scored two nights ago against Detroit and that getting
10:04
Speaker 3: in and out of a drought. He's looking for points
10:06
Speaker 3: of back to back games for the first time since
10:09
Speaker 3: November fifteenth. He's been very good against the Wild in
10:12
Speaker 3: his career nineteen points in twenty three career NHL games.
10:16
Speaker 3: Here Stevenson on the meeting of getting to six hundred
10:20
Speaker 3: games in the NHL.
10:22
Speaker 12: Crazy how quick it goes. I mean to hear when
10:24
Speaker 12: you're younger guys saying enjoy it because it goes quick,
10:27
Speaker 12: and it's one of those things until it happens to you,
10:30
Speaker 12: it's kind of hard to believe. So yeah, I mean,
10:32
Speaker 12: you think of I don't feel like I've had that
10:35
Speaker 12: long of a career, but I mean when you see
10:38
Speaker 12: the six hundred games, it kind of puts it all
10:40
Speaker 12: into perspective that it does go quick and it is
10:42
Speaker 12: a long time. So yeah, just specially, I think obviously,
10:45
Speaker 12: like you said, it was a dream to play one
10:46
Speaker 12: game and now to have six hundred It's pretty cool
10:50
Speaker 12: that I was fortunate enough to play that many and
10:53
Speaker 12: continue playing.
10:54
Speaker 3: When you get to that many games in the NHL,
10:56
Speaker 3: you're doing something right. Indeed, third storyline here obvious one
11:00
Speaker 3: for the Krack and back end the penalty kill, and
11:02
Speaker 3: that could use a big night. First off, can they
11:05
Speaker 3: stay out of the box, That's a big question. But
11:07
Speaker 3: if not, they're facing a wild team that can give
11:10
Speaker 3: them a test for the ten best power play in
11:12
Speaker 3: the NHL and the Crack and trying to reverse a
11:15
Speaker 3: trend of just two clean sheets in the previous fourteen games.
11:18
Speaker 3: The penalty kill got some reps for this morning at
11:21
Speaker 3: morning Skate, where Lane Lambert said they had to have
11:23
Speaker 3: a reset here essentially from a mental standpoint, but Ben
11:26
Speaker 3: to Freddie Goodreau, who is certainly familiar with playing with Carill, Caprisa,
11:30
Speaker 3: Matt Buldy, Matt and Zukarebo and others on the wild side,
11:33
Speaker 3: and Gadreaux said defensively, it's all about situational awareness when
11:38
Speaker 3: it comes to playing defense against the wild top players.
11:42
Speaker 11: You gotta know when they're out there, when you're on
11:44
Speaker 11: the ice, you gotta make sure you're decide. They got
11:48
Speaker 11: some good chemistry too. They know and they know where
11:51
Speaker 11: the other guys are. Kind of kind of feels, especially
11:54
Speaker 11: like Zuki and Kiril. You know they they know where
11:57
Speaker 11: the other guys is. You gotta take a moment to
12:01
Speaker 11: cana zone out. You always have to be dial there
12:04
Speaker 11: any focused.
12:05
Speaker 3: Philip Greubauer will be a net here for the krack
12:07
Speaker 3: and trying to stop the slide. This evening. He's four
12:11
Speaker 3: to zero to one so far through seven games, and
12:13
Speaker 3: you take out the nine to four Edmonton loss where
12:15
Speaker 3: he came in and part of all a part of that.
12:17
Speaker 3: He's a very very good NHL season so far, nine
12:21
Speaker 3: to eight and eighteen games in his career against Minnesota
12:24
Speaker 3: as well. We'll come back in a bit and take
12:26
Speaker 3: a look at the Wild after this. You're listening to

15:05
Speaker 3: Now for a look at Minnesota, where this evening is
15:07
Speaker 3: the final game of a four game road trip and
15:09
Speaker 3: the first time they come off back to back losses
15:12
Speaker 3: since October twenty fifth, So you could maybe expect a
15:15
Speaker 3: bit of an Ansei or angrier bunch out of this
15:18
Speaker 3: Wild team. Coming off a four to two loss of
15:20
Speaker 3: Vancouver where the feeling was that they deserve better, and
15:23
Speaker 3: previously a four to one loss in Calgary left head
15:26
Speaker 3: coach John Hines has say that they got out played.
15:29
Speaker 3: They began the year rough month in October and then
15:32
Speaker 3: turned into an explosive team in November. After a player's
15:36
Speaker 3: only meeting, the Wild one eleven to one and two
15:39
Speaker 3: in November. Yes, Per Bolstad got NHL Rookie of the
15:42
Speaker 3: Month oners and every since November one, the Wild one
15:46
Speaker 3: point eight goes allowed per game. That's number one in
15:48
Speaker 3: the NHL, also grabbing the most wins in the NHL
15:52
Speaker 3: for the entire month, and this is a team that
15:55
Speaker 3: under John Hines can certainly frustrate you, and they can
15:58
Speaker 3: get out ahead in a hurry as well when scoring first.
16:02
Speaker 3: Minnesota has done that in eighteen games this season. That's
16:05
Speaker 3: tied for second best in the entire league. In their
16:07
Speaker 3: record twelve three and three when they score first in
16:10
Speaker 3: that stretch just one time as well. This year, they
16:12
Speaker 3: also had a stretch of twelve straight games of scoring
16:15
Speaker 3: the first goal of the game, so you'd figure getting
16:17
Speaker 3: the first one on the Kraken side is super important,
16:20
Speaker 3: but also a big challenge because of who's a net
16:23
Speaker 3: that's their duo of Yes revol Set and Philip Gustavson.
16:26
Speaker 3: Team say percentage nine to oh nine, that second best
16:29
Speaker 3: in the league. Gustison starts here for tonight under their
16:32
Speaker 3: platoon system, and he's been very, very tough to beat
16:34
Speaker 3: on the Krakens side. Matter of fact, three to zero
16:37
Speaker 3: in three matchups for the nine to six eight say percentage.
16:40
Speaker 3: They're also a top heavy team on top of that,
16:42
Speaker 3: though Carell Capriesov seventeen goals, Matt Buldy sixteen goals, rest
16:48
Speaker 3: of the team forty five goals. Capriesov and Boldy accounting
16:52
Speaker 3: for forty two percent of Minnesota Minnesota's offense. That all
16:57
Speaker 3: in part of seventy eight goals that they have scored
17:00
Speaker 3: on this season, leading us here to our first Minnesota storyline,
17:03
Speaker 3: shutting down or slowing down their dynamic duo. Caprisov leads
17:08
Speaker 3: a team thirty two points he's got to goal in
17:10
Speaker 3: three straight games against the Krack and Matt Boldy's second
17:13
Speaker 3: on the Wild thirty one points. He owns thirteen points
17:16
Speaker 3: in ten games. Had to head here against the Kraken
17:20
Speaker 3: in this series. Second story line, the Wild wild card
17:24
Speaker 3: their power play. They will draw a ton of penalties,
17:26
Speaker 3: their fourth in the NHL for powerplay ice time, ty
17:29
Speaker 3: for second most power play chances. But flip side, it'd
17:33
Speaker 3: been sputtering, no goals in five of the last seven games,
17:36
Speaker 3: a stretch of going two for twenty. Well, let's hear
17:39
Speaker 3: more from the Wild and there's mixed reviews on their
17:42
Speaker 3: road trip, and head coach John Hines said this evening's
17:45
Speaker 3: focus ultimately is on his defense.
17:48
Speaker 15: I thought the Edmonton game was really solid. Obviously we
17:51
Speaker 15: weren't very good against Calgary. I thought we played a
17:53
Speaker 15: better game against Vancouver but didn't get the result that
17:55
Speaker 15: we wanted, so tonight we got to string it together.
17:57
Speaker 15: I think we've got to be really tight defense. I
18:00
Speaker 15: think tighten up some areas from that perspective, and then
18:03
Speaker 15: I think from an offensive perspective. I thought we've been
18:07
Speaker 15: good off the rush. We got to get more more
18:10
Speaker 15: in the offensive zone, like for example, in Vancouver, we
18:13
Speaker 15: spent I think seven and a half minutes in the offensive
18:15
Speaker 15: zone but didn't get like enough high quality looks. So
18:18
Speaker 15: we'd like to be better in that area tonight.
18:20
Speaker 3: Ah the Crack and can maneuver. That's Everett and now
18:23
Speaker 3: we'll explain with your three keys in the booth. After this,

Speaker 3: This is Jordan Eberly. If you're listening to Seattle Cracking
20:32
Speaker 3: hockey on the Crack and Audio Network.
20:35
Speaker 1: We're back inside of climate Plaid Arena alongside Alkoniski everart
20:39
Speaker 1: fits you back with you. Seattle trying to snap an
20:42
Speaker 1: OH four and one stretch with a win tonight in
20:45
Speaker 1: game one of their three game season series with the
20:49
Speaker 1: Minnesota Wild. They've also cooled off as of late. They
20:53
Speaker 1: were nine oho to one and are now just one
20:56
Speaker 1: two in one in their last four games. Something's got
20:59
Speaker 1: to give here tonight, Partner out of.
21:00
Speaker 3: The crack and get it done.
21:01
Speaker 5: While speaking of the Wild going backwards. First, keys make
21:04
Speaker 5: the Wild skate backwards all night long. Minnesota hates defending speed,
21:08
Speaker 5: so the Kracking need to push the pace early and often,
21:11
Speaker 5: like they're at seatack late for a plane to Maui.
21:14
Speaker 5: Stretch the Ice, force their d to pivot and watch
21:16
Speaker 5: the Wild realize backwards skating wasn't meant to be a
21:19
Speaker 5: full time job. Secondly, smother their playmakers before they get fancy.
21:25
Speaker 5: The Wild love a good east west setup, especially Matt
21:27
Speaker 5: Boldi and Carill capriz Off, but if the Kraken close
21:30
Speaker 5: gaps quickly and take away their passing lanes, the whole
21:33
Speaker 5: Minnesota offense becomes about as dangerous as a nerf dard
21:36
Speaker 5: Pressure early, pressure, often pressure until they start dumping pucks
21:41
Speaker 5: just to catch their breath. And then Third, make the
21:43
Speaker 5: net front Seattle's property. If the Kracking own the crease,
21:47
Speaker 5: rebounds will fall like skate ball tickets and chunky cheese
21:50
Speaker 5: screens tips. Second chances turn the front of the net
21:53
Speaker 5: into a construction zone, and that will ensure that the
21:55
Speaker 5: Wild will need a permit just to be there. In short,
21:58
Speaker 5: Seattle needs to make the Wild ski in the wrong direction,
22:01
Speaker 5: shut down their fancy ideas and turn the crease into
22:04
Speaker 5: a kracking only vip lounge. Do that and Minnesota will
22:08
Speaker 5: spend half the night shrugging shrooking at each other like
22:11
Speaker 5: someone unplugged their game plan. If the Kracking really get rolling,
22:14
Speaker 5: the wild might start wishing there was an express lane
22:17
Speaker 5: back to bowing Field three bangers tonight that was by
22:22
Speaker 5: way chuck e cheese Like in the eighties, it was
22:24
Speaker 5: the thing. You'd get that skip ball thing going, you know,
22:27
Speaker 5: tickets to be rolling.
22:28
Speaker 1: And also listen if I'm going, if I'm going to
22:31
Speaker 1: to Molly, I'm not showing up late like I will be.
22:34
Speaker 5: But if you were, you are critting through that airport.
22:37
Speaker 3: We're not play.
22:40
Speaker 1: It's a big night tonight for a couple of members
22:42
Speaker 1: of the Seattle Crack. At number one Chandler Stevenson skating
22:45
Speaker 1: in his six hundredth NHL game, and you heard him
22:49
Speaker 1: in that last interview with Mike Benton saying that so
22:52
Speaker 1: many guys don't even get to one NHL.
22:55
Speaker 5: Game he now has had the opportunity to now.
22:58
Speaker 3: Play in six.
23:00
Speaker 1: I think he gets a lot of unfair flack from
23:04
Speaker 1: people around the media and all of that but he
23:07
Speaker 1: is such an important part of this team and it's
23:10
Speaker 1: great to see him get six hundred in the Cracking uniform.
23:12
Speaker 5: Yeah, not just on the ice what he does out
23:15
Speaker 5: there during the games, but off the ice as well.
23:17
Speaker 5: You know, we've talked a little bit about how he's
23:19
Speaker 5: welcomed Berkeley Catton into his house as a roommate and
23:22
Speaker 5: what that's gonna do for Berkeley Catton's development. He's the
23:25
Speaker 5: guy that's always put his hand up first and say, hey,
23:27
Speaker 5: I'm gonna host dinner at my house. Hopefully he checks
23:30
Speaker 5: with his wife first, but then all of a sudden,
23:32
Speaker 5: twenty hockey players show up. So he's that kind of
23:34
Speaker 5: guy where he can really help bring a team together.
23:37
Speaker 1: Also, Freddie Gadreau in his first game against his former
23:40
Speaker 1: team after being traded here to Seattle in June and
23:44
Speaker 1: again for the Krack and Seattle needed a fourth line centerman.
23:48
Speaker 1: They needed a bottom six player that could still chip
23:50
Speaker 1: in offense and adds some grit, adds a bit of
23:53
Speaker 1: sand paper, some hard work. And you've seen that a
23:55
Speaker 1: lot with Gaudreau this season.
23:57
Speaker 15: Yeah.
23:57
Speaker 5: Absolutely, And he got his first goal the other night
24:00
Speaker 5: against Edmonton, and you know when you get that first one,
24:02
Speaker 5: all of a sudden, you feel like it's gonna roll
24:05
Speaker 5: from there. No, he's not going to be a fifty
24:06
Speaker 5: goal scorer, but you get that first one, you get
24:08
Speaker 5: rid of that zero, and you start shooting the puck
24:10
Speaker 5: a little bit more, you start driving the net. And
24:11
Speaker 5: it was a pretty goal of that too, It wasn't
24:13
Speaker 5: off his leg and in so hopefully he continues to
24:15
Speaker 5: generate some offense real quick.
24:16
Speaker 1: Before we go, we can harp more and more about
24:19
Speaker 1: special teams, and I want to talk more about the
24:23
Speaker 1: scoring from the defenseman. Brack In this season have gotten
24:25
Speaker 1: fifty three points from their back end. They've got four
24:28
Speaker 1: goals and three assists from the d in the last
24:31
Speaker 1: four games, and I have a feeling in a game
24:33
Speaker 1: like this, Seattle's gonna have to be getting pucks from
24:35
Speaker 1: all over the ice.
24:36
Speaker 5: Yeah, before Brandon Montour got here, a lot of that
24:38
Speaker 5: came from Vince Done, and you're still getting a lot
24:40
Speaker 5: of it from Vince Son. But right now, Brandon Montour
24:42
Speaker 5: leads the blue line with six goals. That's nine point
24:45
Speaker 5: one percent of the goals for the team right now.
24:47
Speaker 5: So not only Vince Done but Brandon Montour are leaned
24:50
Speaker 5: on heavily to put pucks in the net, and lately
24:52
Speaker 5: Adam Larson as well. You know who we lean on heavily.
24:55
Speaker 5: Who gets all of the goals.
24:57
Speaker 3: Mike Benton. Mike Benton, Back to the course night Landing

27:37
Speaker 3: Lambert with ever fits you.
27:39
Speaker 1: Thanks Mike Lane. When you find yourself going through dips
27:43
Speaker 1: of the schedule, who are you leaning on as maybe
27:46
Speaker 1: a second voice? Obviously the top one comes from yourself,
27:48
Speaker 1: But is this a are you pulling Everley and Schwartz
27:51
Speaker 1: and mcadd and the leadership group aside and saying, hey,
27:54
Speaker 1: let's see if we can get these guys going. What's
27:56
Speaker 1: that message and where does that message come from?
27:59
Speaker 6: Oh?
27:59
Speaker 20: Yeah, I mean obviously, uh you know it's there's this
28:03
Speaker 20: is where leadership and leadership from within comes in. You know,
28:07
Speaker 20: starts from I saw from the coaching staff. You know,
28:11
Speaker 20: we have to be better as well, right, so it
28:13
Speaker 20: starts right at the top, you know, the penalty killing
28:16
Speaker 20: for example. You know, we've got to coach it better. Uh,
28:20
Speaker 20: you know, if our power play isn't getting it done
28:22
Speaker 20: over the course of two or three games, we've got
28:24
Speaker 20: to coach it better. You know, it starts there. But
28:27
Speaker 20: at the end of the day, your leadership group and
28:30
Speaker 20: those guys, those captains and assistants within the room are
28:34
Speaker 20: the guys that have to also drive from within. And
28:37
Speaker 20: you know this is uh, this is where you know,
28:40
Speaker 20: a guy like Jayan Schwartz is missed in these situations
28:44
Speaker 20: and in these areas, and you know we have to
28:46
Speaker 20: have other guys step.
28:47
Speaker 1: Up another hit for the Crack d on the injury front.
28:50
Speaker 1: Berkeley Catton now out week to week. How have you
28:53
Speaker 1: seen his game grow and develop from where you first
28:56
Speaker 1: saw him this past summer and in training camp? And
28:59
Speaker 1: what type of love will this be for the Crack
29:01
Speaker 1: and moving forward?
29:02
Speaker 21: Yeah?
29:02
Speaker 20: Well, it hurts our speed, you know he and it
29:05
Speaker 20: hurts our playmaking ability. He makes as many plays as
29:08
Speaker 20: anybody else. To be honest, with you, and you know,
29:12
Speaker 20: at the end of the day, you know, he creates
29:15
Speaker 20: opportunities and creates chances, and so you know, we missed
29:19
Speaker 20: we missed that area. But the other thing and the
29:22
Speaker 20: thing that I've noticed about him and how responsible he is,
29:26
Speaker 20: is how responsible he is away from the Parker. So
29:29
Speaker 20: you know, of all our young players, I would say
29:31
Speaker 20: that he's probably one of the most responsible guys on
29:34
Speaker 20: the hockey team. And that's been a good It's been
29:37
Speaker 20: a really good thing to see because there's a lot
29:40
Speaker 20: of trust that goes into Berkeley's game from the coaching staff.
29:43
Speaker 3: Well in a season with plenty of injuries all across
29:46
Speaker 3: the lead the Crack and now trying to settle matters
29:49
