- 0:00Speaker 1: Maybe I can hang out with the Midianites. And he's
- 0:02Speaker 1: chilling with the Midianites. It's going good. He spent about
- 0:05Speaker 1: 40 years with the Midianites. It's going real good. He
- 0:08Speaker 1: married a Midianite woman, a Midianite woman, Zipporah. He marries her.
- 0:11Speaker 1: He adopts their culture. Now he's got another influence in
- 0:15Speaker 1: his life. He's moved into the thrust and the crux
- 0:18Speaker 1: of who they are. Everything's cool. He got a job.
- 0:21Speaker 1: He's making money. He's married into a rich family. He's
- 0:24Speaker 1: doing good. He's hanging out. Everything's fine. He's taking care
- 0:27Speaker 1: of some sheep. He's working with, he's married Zipporah. They're
- 0:31Speaker 1: running around making babies and stuff. Everything's cool. He's just chilling.
- 0:35Speaker 1: He's just walking around taking care of his sheep and
- 0:37Speaker 1: doing what he's supposed to do. He's in line to
- 0:40Speaker 1: take over the family business. Everything's going good. And then
- 0:43Speaker 1: he walks around and runs into this burning bush.
- 0:50Speaker 2: This is the potter's tongue.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Last week, we started into a message and there's so
- 0:59Speaker 1: much in this message, I'm gonna drop back down and
- 1:01Speaker 1: do it again. It is such a prevalent problem because
- 1:04Speaker 1: so many people think today that all of the chatter
- 1:08Speaker 1: in their peripheral view has to cease in order for
- 1:11Speaker 1: them to have the focus that they need to progress
- 1:14Speaker 1: in their life. If you wait on all of that
- 1:15Speaker 1: to stop, you will never get anything done. This message
- 1:19Speaker 1: is a message you need so that you will not
- 1:22Speaker 1: become distracted And focus on what people are saying around you.
- 1:26Speaker 1: The message, don't let the chatter stop you. He is
- 1:31Speaker 1: a prince over them. He will deliver them. He will
- 1:35Speaker 1: bring them out from the hands of Pharaoh. He's all
- 1:38Speaker 1: of that. But he also just lied and killed a
- 1:41Speaker 1: man and buried him and hid the body. Now, ain't
- 1:44Speaker 1: that crazy? I say all of this to comfort you.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Aren't you glad you came to church this morning? Now
- 2:04Speaker 1: watch this. The enemy will always send a terrorist alert
- 2:16Speaker 1: when you are close to your destiny. He will always
- 2:23Speaker 1: defy you, saying, if you go up any further, I'm
- 2:28Speaker 1: going to kill you. Because the next test is to
- 2:34Speaker 1: be able to function under threat. Now, the reason I
- 2:40Speaker 1: call this Don't Let the Chatter Stop You is that
- 2:43Speaker 1: years ago, we didn't use this term chatter too much,
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, other than background noise, you know, there's chatter
- 2:49Speaker 1: in the restaurant, stuff like that. Not when we hear
- 2:50Speaker 1: the word chatter, we think about terrorism. Because we have
- 2:55Speaker 1: begun to associate the level of chatter with the closeness
- 2:59Speaker 1: of a terroristic attack. And right after 9-11, we had
- 3:04Speaker 1: different code levels based on the level of chatter the
- 3:09Speaker 1: stronger the chatter, the closer we were to the indication
- 3:14Speaker 1: of the possibility of an attack. I'm telling you, in
- 3:19Speaker 1: every person's life, there's always a degree of chatter. Some
- 3:27Speaker 1: little underground noise defying you. If you go up any further,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I'll kill you. And when Moses heard the chatter He
- 3:40Speaker 1: ran from his destiny. Ran from it. I didn't know
- 3:48Speaker 1: they knew. I looked both ways. My yesterday is trying
- 3:55Speaker 1: to destroy my today. Satan will make sure that there's
- 4:04Speaker 1: always a witness to where you've been. that survives to
- 4:14Speaker 1: challenge your faith because you don't need faith if the
- 4:20Speaker 1: road is clear you only need faith if you're surrounded
- 4:26Speaker 1: by threat attack compromise God is not going to give
- 4:33Speaker 1: you a straight path into your destiny without chatter You're
- 4:44Speaker 1: trying to be a mama and you never had one.
- 4:47Speaker 1: You're trying to be a daddy. What you know about
- 4:49Speaker 1: being a daddy? There's always some background noise to what
- 4:54Speaker 1: you are trying to do. You're going to open up
- 4:57Speaker 1: a business and you're two months behind in your rents.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I'm just trying to make it real for you. I'm
- 5:11Speaker 1: just trying to make it real. I'm just trying to
- 5:13Speaker 1: make it real for you. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:18Speaker 1: And so Moses says, I got to go. And he
- 5:23Speaker 1: runs from him. He runs thinking, I can never go
- 5:27Speaker 1: back to Egypt. Because now Pharaoh has heard about it.
- 5:34Speaker 1: The terrorist alert has gone to orange. It's not just gossip.
- 5:41Speaker 1: And it's gotten in the hands of Pharaoh. And Pharaoh
- 5:44Speaker 1: is now looking for him. So he escapes Egypt and
- 5:49Speaker 1: runs to Midian. Ooh, y'all so quiet. Okay. He escapes
- 5:56Speaker 1: Egypt and goes to Midian. And when he gets in Midian,
- 6:01Speaker 1: he has associated with the Midianites. Now, when he gets
- 6:05Speaker 1: to the Midianites, they think he is an Egyptian. He
- 6:10Speaker 1: walks like an Egyptian. He dresses like an Egyptian. He
- 6:14Speaker 1: talks like an Egyptian. They think he is an Egyptian.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And one of the Midianite daughters comes back to Jethro
- 6:22Speaker 1: and says to Jethro, we met this Egyptian down at
- 6:25Speaker 1: the well who helped us. So he enters into their
- 6:30Speaker 1: rank as an Egyptian. They feed him as an Egyptian.
- 6:36Speaker 1: They honor him as an Egyptian. But he's a Hebrew.
- 6:43Speaker 1: The conflict has not gone away. Neither has yours. The
- 6:51Speaker 1: question is, can you manage your conflict and still seize
- 6:59Speaker 1: your destiny? Because if you're waiting for it to end,
- 7:05Speaker 1: you will never get anywhere. If I walked off now,
- 7:11Speaker 1: I've already preached. So here he is, he thinks, those
- 7:20Speaker 1: impulses I had to save the Hebrews, that's over. I'm
- 7:25Speaker 1: not doing that no more. I tried to make a
- 7:28Speaker 1: difference and it didn't work. That thing about starting my
- 7:31Speaker 1: own business, I'm not doing that no more. The recession
- 7:35Speaker 1: took all, I'll never do that again. That thing about
- 7:37Speaker 1: having my own house, no, they took that last one,
- 7:39Speaker 1: that's it. Anytime you failed at doing something you was
- 7:43Speaker 1: trying to do, there is a period where you try
- 7:46Speaker 1: to talk yourself out of ever wanting to do that again.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. There's a scripture in Genesis.
- 7:57Speaker 1: When the first woman had the first baby, the Bible said,
- 8:01Speaker 1: with much travail shall she bring four children. The pain
- 8:05Speaker 1: was bad enough to make the first mother have the
- 8:09Speaker 1: first baby again. Never, don't Adam, don't even come over here.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Last time you came over here. So the Bible says,
- 8:28Speaker 1: it talks about her pain. And then in the next
- 8:31Speaker 1: verse says, but her desire shall be to her husband.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Why does it say that? If anytime there's great pain,
- 8:39Speaker 1: God puts great desire so that your mission doesn't die
- 8:44Speaker 1: because of the pain you confront. If there were not
- 8:49Speaker 1: desire to equalize the pain, then the earth would not
- 8:53Speaker 1: be inhabited. But the reason the earth is inhabited is
- 8:57Speaker 1: after that the pain subsides, the desire continues. Oh, y'all
- 9:02Speaker 1: don't hear what I'm saying. So after a while, the
- 9:05Speaker 1: desire becomes so strong that you forget about the pain
- 9:09Speaker 1: and you have the courage to try again. Oh, y'all
- 9:12Speaker 1: don't hear what I'm saying. Moses is in the middle
- 9:16Speaker 1: of the pain process. He has gone to Midian and
- 9:20Speaker 1: he's gotten with the Midianites and he says, I'm through
- 9:22Speaker 1: with that. I'm not doing that anymore. I'm going to
- 9:25Speaker 1: hang out with the Midianites. They accept me as an Egyptian.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I'm giving up on the Hebrew thing. The Hebrews don't
- 9:30Speaker 1: like me. No way. The last time I tried to
- 9:33Speaker 1: get into that, they told me off and sent me away.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I'm going to hang out with the Midianites. Maybe I
- 9:37Speaker 1: fit with them. Now, look, he's tried to fit in
- 9:40Speaker 1: with three different groups, four different groups of people, tried
- 9:42Speaker 1: to stay in the house, couldn't stay in the house,
- 9:44Speaker 1: tried to stay in Pharaoh's house, couldn't stay in Pharaoh's house.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Now he's in the house of the Midianites and he
- 9:49Speaker 1: can't stay in there. He's tried to fit in all
- 9:51Speaker 1: kinds of groups of people and never fit, never fit,
- 9:54Speaker 1: never fit, never fit. Unique? Yeah.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Lonely.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Maybe I can hang out with the Midianites. And he's
- 10:02Speaker 1: chilling with the Midianites. It's going good. He spent about
- 10:05Speaker 1: 40 years with the Midianites. It's going real good. He
- 10:08Speaker 1: married a Midianite woman, a Midianite woman, Zipporah. He marries her.
- 10:11Speaker 1: He adopts their culture. Now he's got another influence in
- 10:15Speaker 1: his life. He's moved into the thrust and the crux
- 10:18Speaker 1: of who they are. Everything's cool. He got a job.
- 10:21Speaker 1: He's making money. He's married into a rich family. He's
- 10:24Speaker 1: doing good. He's hanging out. Everything's fine. He's taking care
- 10:27Speaker 1: of some sheep. He's working with, he's married Zipporah. They're
- 10:31Speaker 1: running around making babies and stuff. Everything's cool. He's just chilling.
- 10:35Speaker 1: He's just walking around taking care of the sheep and
- 10:37Speaker 1: doing what he's supposed to do. He's in line to
- 10:39Speaker 1: take over the family business. Everything's going good. And then
- 10:43Speaker 1: he walks around and runs into this burning bush. Every
- 10:51Speaker 1: time you think you have put your dreams to sleep,
- 10:56Speaker 1: God will send a burning bush to The return of passion.
- 11:01Speaker 1: The burning bush is the return of passion. I have
- 11:06Speaker 1: come to preach to somebody this morning who has a
- 11:10Speaker 1: passion that will not die. You've had bad experience after
- 11:14Speaker 1: bad experience after bad experience after bad experience. You've tried
- 11:17Speaker 1: to talk yourself out of wanting it. Talk yourself out
- 11:20Speaker 1: of believing it. Tried to fit in with the people
- 11:22Speaker 1: around you. Blend into the scenery. Shut your mouth, girl.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Don't say nothing. Last time you said something, you got
- 11:28Speaker 1: in trouble. Just act like everybody else and be cool
- 11:30Speaker 1: and maybe they'll like you. But the problem is there's
- 11:33Speaker 1: a burning desire down inside of you that will not
- 11:37Speaker 1: shut up. Touch somebody and say, I'm on fire. 40
- 11:41Speaker 1: years old and I'm on fire. 80 years old and
- 11:45Speaker 1: I'm on fire. Still got the passion. Still got the passion.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I got the pain, but I got the passion too.
- 11:52Speaker 1: I got the problem, but I got the passion too.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I got a little chatter going on, but I still
- 11:57Speaker 1: got the passion. I got a threat over my life,
- 12:00Speaker 1: but I still got the passion. Oh my God. Somebody
- 12:03Speaker 1: wave at me if I'm talking to you this morning.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Still to come.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Bush, bush. Fire, fire. Not consume, not consume. Moses, Moses.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Can I show you what I'm talking about here? Whenever
- 12:23Speaker 1: you hear Moses, Moses or Abraham, Abraham. Or Joshua, Joshua.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Or Verily, Verily. Whenever you see that, that is covenant.
- 12:36Speaker 1: It is the echo between heaven and earth. Thy will
- 12:41Speaker 1: be done on earth as it is in heaven. Oh God,
- 12:45Speaker 1: do you hear what I'm saying? What do you do
- 12:48Speaker 1: with the fire that will not go away?
- 12:50Speaker 2: The wait is over.
- 12:51Speaker 4: God wants to use you in extraordinary ways now. Great
- 12:55Speaker 4: things are ahead of you.
- 12:56Speaker 2: You're on the verge.
- 12:57Speaker 1: You are not just going from day to day, week
- 12:58Speaker 1: to week, month to month, and now you're getting ready
- 13:00Speaker 1: to step into another year. You are standing on the cusp.
- 13:05Speaker 1: of an entirely new awakening. There's a burning desire down
- 13:09Speaker 1: inside of you that will not shut up. I got
- 13:12Speaker 1: the pain, but I got the passion too. I got
- 13:15Speaker 1: the problem, but I got the passion too. I got
- 13:18Speaker 1: a little chatter going on, but I still got the passion.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Life is going to hand you something every day. Take
- 13:24Speaker 1: in what you can get out of it. Let go
- 13:27Speaker 1: of what you can't get out of it. But don't
- 13:29Speaker 1: let anybody hurt you so bad that you.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Shall The wait is over. It's time to make your
- 13:36Speaker 2: life count. Order The Verge today.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Visit our website or call 1-800-BISHOP-2.
- 13:51Speaker 1: And there he is, just when he's finally got everything cool,
- 13:55Speaker 1: he walks past this bush and the bush is on fire.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Remember I told you that what you see on the
- 14:01Speaker 1: outside is the reflection of what's going on on the inside.
- 14:05Speaker 1: The burning bush on the outside is the burning ministry
- 14:08Speaker 1: on the inside. And when he sees a burning bush
- 14:11Speaker 1: on the outside, it's only a reflection of what is
- 14:15Speaker 1: going on on the inside. Outside, inside. Inside, outside. Oh,
- 14:20Speaker 1: y'all don't hear what I'm saying to you. And the
- 14:23Speaker 1: Bible says, watch this. I love this language. Watch this.
- 14:26Speaker 1: The Bible said he turned aside to see. He turned
- 14:31Speaker 1: aside to see. And let me explain it to you.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Can I explain? Can I take just a minute? See,
- 14:37Speaker 1: in the desert, it is not unusual in the extreme
- 14:40Speaker 1: heat and dry brush for a bush to catch on fire.
- 14:45Speaker 1: So when he saw the bush burning, that wasn't no problem.
- 14:47Speaker 1: He just, he kept right on going, walked right on
- 14:49Speaker 1: past the bush burning because that wasn't an unusual thing
- 14:52Speaker 1: to see. He just so happened to turn aside. The
- 14:58Speaker 1: spectacular thing was not that the bush was on fire.
- 15:02Speaker 1: The spectacular thing is that the bush was not consumed.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Tell somebody, say, I'm still on fire. I'm under attack.
- 15:15Speaker 1: but I'm still on fire. I got some chatter, but
- 15:18Speaker 1: I'm still on fire. I got some threat, but I'm
- 15:21Speaker 1: still on fire. I got some liabilities, but I'm still
- 15:25Speaker 1: on fire. It's not amazing that I'm on fire. What's
- 15:29Speaker 1: amazing is that the bush has not been consumed. I've
- 15:33Speaker 1: been to hell and back, but I'm still burning. Last
- 15:36Speaker 1: time I tried it, I got in trouble, but I'm
- 15:39Speaker 1: still burning. I got some haters that's trying to destroy me,
- 15:43Speaker 1: but I'm still burning. Does anybody understand the words that
- 15:46Speaker 1: are coming out of my mouth? Touch me, people say.
- 15:52Speaker 5: I'm still on fire. Still on fire. I'm still on fire.
- 15:58Speaker 5: I'm still on fire. I'm still on fire. I'm still
- 16:01Speaker 5: on fire. I'm still on fire. I'm still on fire.
- 16:04Speaker 5: I'm still on fire. I'm still on fire. I still
- 16:07Speaker 5: want it. I still believe it. I still got a vision.
- 16:11Speaker 5: I still got a passion. I still got a burning.
- 16:14Speaker 5: I still got a dream. I still got a hope.
- 16:17Speaker 5: I still got a desire. It don't even look like
- 16:19Speaker 5: the right time.
- 16:20Speaker 6: He is now 80 years old. He's 80 years old
- 16:31Speaker 6: and the bush has not been consumed. What do you
- 16:37Speaker 6: do with the fire that will not go away? He
- 16:42Speaker 6: turned aside to see that the bush was not consumed.
- 16:50Speaker 6: And when he saw that the bush was not consumed,
- 16:54Speaker 6: he turns back to look at the bush. Now he's
- 16:59Speaker 6: looking at the bush and the bush is looking at him.
- 17:10Speaker 6: He's trying to say, watch this. He's saying, what's up
- 17:13Speaker 6: with you? And the bush is saying, what's up with you?
- 17:21Speaker 6: He's saying, you on fire. The bush is saying, you
- 17:26Speaker 6: are too. He's saying, you have not been consumed. The
- 17:32Speaker 6: bush is saying, you ain't either.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Now, this is a message for people who have messed up, failed. Faulted,
- 17:57Speaker 1: blew it, did something stupid, got yourself in trouble, and
- 18:01Speaker 1: you think your life is over because you did something stupid?
- 18:05Speaker 2: No, no.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Your life is not over. Yes, they're going to talk
- 18:14Speaker 1: about you. Yes, they're going to bring up your past. Yes,
- 18:17Speaker 1: there's going to be a chatter. Yes, there's going to
- 18:19Speaker 1: be a threat over your head. But nothing that the
- 18:22Speaker 1: enemy is chattering about has put out your fire. And
- 18:27Speaker 1: God is going to burn in your life. Oh my God.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Who am I preaching to this morning? And so watch this,
- 18:42Speaker 1: watch this y'all. So he's looking at the bush and
- 18:45Speaker 1: a voice speaks out of the bush. And the voice
- 18:48Speaker 1: speaks out of the bush and says, Moses, take off. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 18:54Speaker 1: It doesn't say Moses, take off your shoes.
- 18:55Speaker 3: No, no, no, no.
- 18:56Speaker 1: It says, Moses, Moses. Bush, bush. Fire, fire. Not consume,
- 19:07Speaker 1: not consume. Moses, Moses. Can I show you, can I
- 19:12Speaker 1: show you what I'm talking about here? Whenever you hear Moses, Moses,
- 19:19Speaker 1: or Abraham, Abraham, or Joshua, Joshua, or verily, verily, whenever
- 19:25Speaker 1: you see that, that is covenant. The Bible, oh yeah, God.
- 19:29Speaker 1: It is the echo between heaven and earth. Thy will
- 19:34Speaker 1: be done on earth as it is in heaven. Oh God,
- 19:38Speaker 1: do you hear what I'm saying? The Bible said, once
- 19:43Speaker 1: has he spoken it, but twice have I heard it.
- 19:47Speaker 1: He spoke it in the heavenlies. It echoed in the
- 19:51Speaker 1: earth realm. He said, once has he spoken it, but
- 19:54Speaker 1: twice have I heard it. Power belongs to God. Thy
- 19:59Speaker 1: will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. Verily,
- 20:03Speaker 1: verily I say unto thee. This day shalt thou be
- 20:06Speaker 1: with me in paradise. Joshua, Joshua. Abraham, Abraham. Moses, Moses. Jacqueline, Jacqueline. Thomas, Thomas. Jonathan, Jonathan.
- 20:17Speaker 1: When God calls you. It's not just in the earth. Oh.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Slap somebody and tell them he's calling me. I'm messed up,
- 20:34Speaker 1: but he's calling me. I'm in trouble, but he's calling me.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I hear some chatter, but he's calling me. I'm up
- 20:41Speaker 1: under attack, but he's calling me. I'm confused, but he's
- 20:45Speaker 1: calling me. I'm conflicted, but he's... He says, go around
- 20:57Speaker 1: Moses and tell Pharaoh that I said, let my people go.
- 21:11Speaker 1: And Moses said, if I go back into the charter,
- 21:16Speaker 1: I need to go back with power. So he said,
- 21:20Speaker 1: who shall I say? Send me. God said, I'm glad
- 21:25Speaker 1: you asked me that. Tell Pharaoh I am that I am.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I can do whatever I want to do. I can
- 21:38Speaker 1: use whoever I want to use. I can bless. Ow!
- 21:47Speaker 6: Ow!
- 21:53Speaker 1: Yes! Yes! Yes! I am. I am. That I am
- 22:06Speaker 1: means I'm too much to be defined. I'm too big
- 22:12Speaker 1: to be confined. I'm too great to be explained. I
- 22:18Speaker 1: am that I am. I am whatever I want to be.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I'm bread if you're hungry. I'm water if you're thirsty.
- 22:30Speaker 1: I'm healing if you're sick. I'm deliverance if you're bound.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I'm life if you're dead. I know I got to preach.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I know I got to stop. I know I'm over time. Hallelujah.
- 23:08Speaker 1: But slap somebody and say he's bigger than that. He's
- 23:13Speaker 1: bigger than whatever you thought. He's bigger than what you've
- 23:16Speaker 1: been through. He's bigger than what the enemy said. He's
- 23:20Speaker 1: bigger than the storm in your life. He's bigger than
- 23:23Speaker 1: the trouble in your house. He's bigger than your childhood.
- 23:27Speaker 1: He's bigger than your weakness. He's bigger than your struggle.
- 23:31Speaker 1: He's bigger than your storm. Stay tuned. I've got more
