Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Hawk Talk with former Seahawks wide receiver
- 0:04Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus. Playfac go to roll right, jumps it off
- 0:07Speaker 1: into the right class to Michael Bumpets, who bounces off
- 0:09Speaker 1: a one tackler gets inside the forty down of the
- 0:12Speaker 1: thirty five yard line. Powered by Seahawks dot Com, Matt
- 0:15Speaker 1: pump fakes looking at the goal line. He throws it
- 0:17Speaker 1: into the end zone. Touchdown. Say Hawks, it's Michael Bumpers
- 0:21Speaker 1: with a diving catch in the end zone. Ten yard
- 0:24Speaker 1: touchdown reception for Bumpus, and the kid out of Washington
- 0:27Speaker 1: State has found himself a place on this team. Now
- 0:31Speaker 1: here's your host, Nasa Chuby. Welcome to another edition of
- 0:35Speaker 1: Hawk Talk. The Seahawks fall to the Falcons twenty seven
- 0:38Speaker 1: to twenty three in a really entertaining game yesterday in
- 0:40Speaker 1: luman Field. Unfortunately, the Seahawks didn't have quite enough to
- 0:43Speaker 1: get it done in the end, as Geno Smith was
- 0:45Speaker 1: intercepted on a fourth and eighteen, the seal of victory
- 0:49Speaker 1: for the Falcons. But, like we do every week, we
- 0:51Speaker 1: get things started. Breaking it down with Ray Roberts in
- 0:53Speaker 1: the trenches, it's time to go inside the trenches with
- 0:58Speaker 1: former Seahawk Roberts big Ray. That was a tough one. Man.
- 1:03Speaker 1: That was a tough one in a game where the
- 1:05Speaker 1: Seahawks felt like they played well enough to win. They
- 1:07Speaker 1: had more yards, ran more plays, one the turnover battle,
- 1:10Speaker 1: time of possessions. Unfortunately, they couldn't get it done. What
- 1:13Speaker 1: were your biggest takeaways from the game yesterday, Well, to
- 1:16Speaker 1: be honest with one of the biggest takeaways is just
- 1:18Speaker 1: how good the offense look and how well, you know,
- 1:21Speaker 1: ran this concept of opening and up to the offense. Like,
- 1:24Speaker 1: we didn't know exactly what they meant by that when
- 1:26Speaker 1: they said it, as that meant they were going to
- 1:28Speaker 1: take a bunch of deep shots to DK and Tyler,
- 1:30Speaker 1: or if they just meant they were going to run
- 1:32Speaker 1: more plays out of their playbook. And I think they
- 1:34Speaker 1: did a good job of showing us more plays out
- 1:36Speaker 1: of their playbooks and their ability to take shots and
- 1:39Speaker 1: trust DK and you know, fifty fifty balls and then
- 1:44Speaker 1: trust that Gino was going to protect the ball. He
- 1:46Speaker 1: played really efficiently. Ran the offense, well, they're running the
- 1:49Speaker 1: ball goods. Unfortunately, those little things, those little foxes that
- 1:53Speaker 1: come to ruin divine holding calls, penalties, you know those
- 1:57Speaker 1: types of things. Uh, kind of put put them in
- 2:00Speaker 1: a position where they're having to play from behind down
- 2:02Speaker 1: the stretch and wasn't able to pull it out. You
- 2:04Speaker 1: mentioned the Seahawks opening up the offense a little bit
- 2:06Speaker 1: and how Geno Smith played. What do you see from
- 2:08Speaker 1: the guys up front? Did did that affect them in
- 2:10Speaker 1: any way? I know they only gave up two sacks
- 2:12Speaker 1: on the ball game, and unfortunately or both on that
- 2:14Speaker 1: final drive they overcame one of them weren't able to
- 2:16Speaker 1: overcome the second. Um, what do you see from them
- 2:19Speaker 1: up front? And do you think this u boats well
- 2:21Speaker 1: for those guys up front opening this offense a little bit. Yeah.
- 2:24Speaker 1: So I've always been a believer that the play call
- 2:28Speaker 1: also actually in the offensive design, adds tools to your
- 2:32Speaker 1: two box as an offensive lineman because it gives you
- 2:35Speaker 1: different angles and different sets and different leverage points and
- 2:39Speaker 1: stuff that you're attacking a defender. That makes the defender
- 2:42Speaker 1: didn't have to think a little bit. When the defenders
- 2:45Speaker 1: are great when they go like, oh this dude is
- 2:47Speaker 1: this is this is a run formation. I'm going to
- 2:49Speaker 1: get geared up for the run formation every time I
- 2:52Speaker 1: know how to attack it. This is going to be
- 2:53Speaker 1: a pass. I'm gonna he's gonna set in the same
- 2:55Speaker 1: spot every time. I know how to how to attack that.
- 2:58Speaker 1: But when you're able to have you're moving the pocket,
- 3:01Speaker 1: you're dropping back, you're throwing screens, you're throwing three yards,
- 3:04Speaker 1: you know, three step drop backs, you're running fly suite,
- 3:07Speaker 1: you're running stretch, you're running you know, split zone, more downhill.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It just it just adds more to my two box
- 3:12Speaker 1: as an offensive linement. And so that's what I've been
- 3:15Speaker 1: begging for for the last couple of years, and these
- 3:17Speaker 1: first few games I've started to see that. This last
- 3:19Speaker 1: game you saw even more of that. So if you're
- 3:21Speaker 1: an offensive linement, you have to feel pretty good with
- 3:24Speaker 1: how the offensive has been called and the types of
- 3:27Speaker 1: players that they're running. Now it's just a matter of
- 3:29Speaker 1: like everybody now just kind of increasing their game by
- 3:32Speaker 1: like ten to fifteen to twenty percent. So you so
- 3:35Speaker 1: instead of a guy kind of been on the edge
- 3:37Speaker 1: you six inches and making attack for a two yard game,
- 3:40Speaker 1: you have them fully covered up in that two yard
- 3:42Speaker 1: game becomes a five or six or seven yard games.
- 3:44Speaker 1: So I really liked the way the game was called
- 3:47Speaker 1: yesterday just from a production perspective and just from an
- 3:50Speaker 1: enjoyment and tightening perspective, but also from the tools that
- 3:53Speaker 1: it adds to the two box for the offensive line. Anyway,
- 3:56Speaker 1: one of the more unfortunate plays was the holding by
- 4:00Speaker 1: Damien Lewis late in the game. Now, I don't want
- 4:02Speaker 1: you to talk about it just to highlight how it hurt,
- 4:05Speaker 1: but just to kind of explain to people how tough
- 4:07Speaker 1: that is to be in space and make that block,
- 4:09Speaker 1: because you hear a lot of people just get your
- 4:12Speaker 1: hands inside, don't do this, don't do that, But I
- 4:13Speaker 1: don't think they realize the timing and the technique that
- 4:16Speaker 1: it takes to execute that play. Yeah, especially when you
- 4:19Speaker 1: know you're a bigger dude. You know, you're three hundred
- 4:22Speaker 1: some pounds. You're out there trying to be an athlete
- 4:24Speaker 1: with a linebacker or safety and so a lot of times,
- 4:28Speaker 1: you know, you're just trying to get your hands somewhere
- 4:30Speaker 1: within the framework of the numbers or the shoulders, and
- 4:34Speaker 1: in that situation you're out there, you've already kind of
- 4:37Speaker 1: uh faced up the defender and they're they're kind of
- 4:41Speaker 1: just kind of holding each other at first kind of like, hey,
- 4:43Speaker 1: what's going to happen. You're as an offensive line, you're
- 4:45Speaker 1: trying to figure out because you don't know what's going
- 4:46Speaker 1: on behind you. You're kind of figuring out what the
- 4:49Speaker 1: how the defender's going to react to. You can then
- 4:50Speaker 1: finish the block. Well, just as the ball came as
- 4:53Speaker 1: the runner was coming, the defender kind of pulled back,
- 4:56Speaker 1: which then makes the cloth big straight u stretch out
- 5:00Speaker 1: a little bit, and then that's what the holding call
- 5:02Speaker 1: is called. Right there, and so his hands were in
- 5:05Speaker 1: perfect place. Any other place on the field, if you're
- 5:07Speaker 1: like in the in the two yards of the line
- 5:10Speaker 1: of scrimmis, that's not even a holding call, especially if
- 5:13Speaker 1: you're standing right in front of him and you're pushing
- 5:15Speaker 1: straight back. If he was getting outside the frame of
- 5:17Speaker 1: your body and then you're kind of like trying to
- 5:19Speaker 1: pull him and stop him from going somewhere, that's what
- 5:22Speaker 1: that's what the hold is. But in this situation, it
- 5:24Speaker 1: was just a matter of when he when the defender
- 5:27Speaker 1: gave up pressure, and then when uh, and then when
- 5:31Speaker 1: the offensive player applied that pressure. It was just just
- 5:34Speaker 1: that space in between created the stretch of the jersey,
- 5:37Speaker 1: which then created the holding call. Yeah, that's a really
- 5:40Speaker 1: tough call because the Seahawks. I'm confident the Seahawks were
- 5:42Speaker 1: going to win that game at that moment. They would
- 5:44Speaker 1: have had the ball out like the ten or the
- 5:46Speaker 1: eight yard line, it would have been first down. You're
- 5:48Speaker 1: down four points. Geno had things rolling. So really tough
- 5:51Speaker 1: to see that from Damian Lewis. You feel for him
- 5:53Speaker 1: because you know he's been baland to some injuries and
- 5:55Speaker 1: now it's a tough way to go there now. Sticking
- 5:58Speaker 1: with the offensive line up front, the run game, Raschard
- 6:00Speaker 1: Penny sixty sixty yards on fourteen carries, came out the
- 6:03Speaker 1: gates on fire to really hard nosed runs. You liked
- 6:06Speaker 1: what you see there. Unfortunately, you know, he still didn't
- 6:09Speaker 1: get fourteen carries as a decent amount of number. But
- 6:12Speaker 1: what do you see in general from the run game,
- 6:13Speaker 1: how they mixed in DJ Dallas and is that a
- 6:16Speaker 1: stepping stone where they can build on going against Detroit
- 6:18Speaker 1: next week? This I would say that the running game
- 6:22Speaker 1: Dogs is like it is a step away from being
- 6:25Speaker 1: what we saw in the last five games of last year.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Like you like, for you know, the last five games,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I felt like, yeah, you know, maybe they're playing teams
- 6:33Speaker 1: that aren't aren't like really driving, you know, driving for
- 6:35Speaker 1: the playoffs and at the end of the season, and
- 6:37Speaker 1: they just caught some dudes and good good positions, great
- 6:41Speaker 1: to gain a lot of yards. But what I've seen
- 6:44Speaker 1: so far this year and the limited amount of carries
- 6:46Speaker 1: that Rashard Penny has had, that same thing can happen.
- 6:50Speaker 1: This offensive line is a very good run blocking offensive
- 6:53Speaker 1: line when they are the basis of what they're doing
- 6:57Speaker 1: is going vertical, like getting downhill fast, getting to show
- 7:00Speaker 1: the paths of the lineman and the running back pointing
- 7:03Speaker 1: towards the goal line. That's when they make their most
- 7:06Speaker 1: hate And that's when Richard Penny sees his I see
- 7:09Speaker 1: the biggest He's able to see the places where he
- 7:13Speaker 1: should go best. When he's like running like the outside
- 7:16Speaker 1: zone and everyone's shoulder the kind of turned towards the sideline,
- 7:19Speaker 1: he doesn't get to see to have to field, and
- 7:22Speaker 1: so I think it limits his ability. And so I
- 7:24Speaker 1: love what I see what they're doing in the running
- 7:26Speaker 1: game and the way they're mixing up. They had some
- 7:28Speaker 1: traditional counters where they're pulling the backside guard in the
- 7:31Speaker 1: backside tackle they had somewhere. They're using the tight ends,
- 7:35Speaker 1: you know, on the front side and pulling them and
- 7:38Speaker 1: so I love the variety of what they're doing with
- 7:40Speaker 1: the running game. I just want share would do it more.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Like I swear to you, if if Richard Penny would
- 7:45Speaker 1: have had nineteen carries, I think they probably won't that
- 7:48Speaker 1: game by eight or nine points. But he had fourteen,
- 7:51Speaker 1: you know, and that was one of my keys of
- 7:52Speaker 1: the game, was that he needed to have board than
- 7:54Speaker 1: fifteen carries. And so I don't know if there's just
- 7:56Speaker 1: a matter of them trying to protect him physically to
- 8:00Speaker 1: get through the season, but at some point I think
- 8:02Speaker 1: they need to push him past that threshold. You know,
- 8:04Speaker 1: he didn't play much in the preseason. Push him past
- 8:06Speaker 1: that threshold of fifteen, sixteen, seventeen carries and then just
- 8:10Speaker 1: let him do what he's doing. He was just warming up,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and I think that out for the line. Like I
- 8:14Speaker 1: told you guys doing the post game, then you get
- 8:16Speaker 1: so jacked up when you're running the ball like that,
- 8:18Speaker 1: it just makes everything else better. So I'm excited about
- 8:21Speaker 1: what the offense can be. What we saw this past week,
- 8:25Speaker 1: and then what I'm hoping they're going to do, you know,
- 8:26Speaker 1: moving forward. Real, let's talk about this defense, and I
- 8:30Speaker 1: think your perspective is important in this because you are
- 8:33Speaker 1: an offensive lineman and we look at this box and
- 8:37Speaker 1: the way this D line is playing. Talking about the
- 8:38Speaker 1: Seahawks and these linebackers are playing and it seems like
- 8:42Speaker 1: they're not an attack mold, they're not downhill. Are there
- 8:45Speaker 1: a few tweaks that you see that you said, all right, man,
- 8:48Speaker 1: if this defense could just fix this or fix that,
- 8:51Speaker 1: they would be even better because they flash at times
- 8:53Speaker 1: and now it's about just playing consistent. Is there something
- 8:55Speaker 1: that you see that they can do better that will
- 8:58Speaker 1: help them next week against the Yeah, I think I
- 9:01Speaker 1: know if it was Turbo or maybe one of the
- 9:04Speaker 1: guys they interviewed in the locker room after the game,
- 9:06Speaker 1: but someone said the learning the plays in the way
- 9:11Speaker 1: that you can play fast because you have like these
- 9:14Speaker 1: tremendous athletes, right, But if you watch the plays where
- 9:18Speaker 1: they're struggling, it's because the technique isn't quite right, or
- 9:23Speaker 1: your body wasn't you wasn't taking the right angle, or
- 9:25Speaker 1: someone didn't feel the gap, you know, at the right time.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So those are all coachable fixable things. And then I
- 9:32Speaker 1: think that's because like there was one time, I think
- 9:34Speaker 1: Cody Barton. Both times I saw Cody Barton attacking the
- 9:38Speaker 1: edge and I saw Jordan Brooks attacking the edge. And
- 9:40Speaker 1: I think I tried to explain this last night, but
- 9:42Speaker 1: if the defenders coming towards me and I attack his
- 9:45Speaker 1: inside shoulder with my outside shoulder, he's going to have
- 9:48Speaker 1: the outside leverage. And that's what they were doing a lot.
- 9:51Speaker 1: But you, as a defender, you want to attack his
- 9:53Speaker 1: outside shoulder with your inside shoulder. Then that way you
- 9:56Speaker 1: have the outside leverage that makes you means a runner
- 9:58Speaker 1: more than life is gonna have to turn inside to
- 10:00Speaker 1: where all the bad dudes are. So it's just like
- 10:02Speaker 1: a matter of six inches. There's the difference between setting
- 10:06Speaker 1: an edge and making a tackle for a minimal game
- 10:09Speaker 1: to versus not ten edge, And it's been a forty
- 10:11Speaker 1: yard touchdown run. And so I think those are the
- 10:14Speaker 1: little things that the defense needs to correct. And then
- 10:18Speaker 1: quite frankly, there's just some dudes that just need to
- 10:20Speaker 1: find a way to be more productive. You know. Daryl Taylor,
- 10:23Speaker 1: you know, to me, I was excited about what he
- 10:26Speaker 1: was going to bring to the table this year. Haven't
- 10:28Speaker 1: quite seen it yet, but Daryl Johnson Junior has come
- 10:30Speaker 1: in well, Marthea has come in and played well, and
- 10:33Speaker 1: so it's going to be interesting to see that combination
- 10:35Speaker 1: of players and what they do moving forward. And then
- 10:38Speaker 1: I think last yesterday you saw Jordan starting to make
- 10:42Speaker 1: more tackles around the line of scrimmage and Cody was
- 10:44Speaker 1: a little bit more around the line of scrimmage. So
- 10:46Speaker 1: those guys not only just saying super athletic, but being physical,
- 10:50Speaker 1: not sending they have to like go blow up like
- 10:52Speaker 1: Cam Chancellor did with the guard from San Francisco and
- 10:56Speaker 1: during the knocked him out, Like you don't need to
- 10:58Speaker 1: beat that dude, you know what I'm saying. But you
- 11:00Speaker 1: got to be a little bit more physical in your place.
- 11:01Speaker 1: So your athleticism can then be a strength and a
- 11:05Speaker 1: disadvantage to the to the office. Gotcha, Ray, So building
- 11:10Speaker 1: off that last question for you, the Seahawks are playing
- 11:14Speaker 1: your old former team, so this is a big Ray
- 11:16Speaker 1: Roberts matchup the Lions in the Seahawks. Now, typically after
- 11:19Speaker 1: the Seahawks will lose two games, which doesn't happen up
- 11:22Speaker 1: very often around here, we would talk about your thing,
- 11:24Speaker 1: a get right game. Well, again, my game is usually
- 11:27Speaker 1: against a team where you feel like you're definitely favored
- 11:29Speaker 1: and you should absolutely win. This is the game I
- 11:31Speaker 1: think the Seahawks should win. But Detroit's playing good football.
- 11:34Speaker 1: They've they're one and two, but they've been in every game,
- 11:36Speaker 1: they've blown a couple of leads. What have you seen
- 11:38Speaker 1: from Detroit and how can the Seahawks look to build
- 11:41Speaker 1: off what they did against Atlanta against these lines. Well,
- 11:45Speaker 1: the one thing that I've seen more than anything is buying.
- 11:48Speaker 1: When when Van Campbell first came and he did the
- 11:50Speaker 1: whole press conference about biting people's knees off and stuff,
- 11:55Speaker 1: it was just like, what, like, what are you talking about?
- 11:58Speaker 1: But his style and his toughness and his kind of
- 12:03Speaker 1: in your face kind of attitude, which is kind of
- 12:06Speaker 1: reflective of the city of Detroit. The team is bought
- 12:09Speaker 1: into and so they play that way. They play like
- 12:12Speaker 1: you're gonna have to like bring your lunch pail and
- 12:15Speaker 1: an all day sucker if you're gonna fight, if you're
- 12:17Speaker 1: gonna play them, because they're gonna play until the last whistle,
- 12:20Speaker 1: whether they're winning or losing or tied up, or you're
- 12:23Speaker 1: going over time or whatever is. And so I think
- 12:25Speaker 1: the Seats are gonna have to be able to batch that.
- 12:27Speaker 1: They've done a pretty good job of creating like almost
- 12:30Speaker 1: like a no name defense. They got dudes that are
- 12:32Speaker 1: effective and good and can get after the quarterback and
- 12:35Speaker 1: make tackles and cover, and then they have an offense
- 12:38Speaker 1: that is developing a really good running game. If the
- 12:41Speaker 1: Seattle is going to have to really bone up for
- 12:44Speaker 1: the running game because they do a lot of those
- 12:46Speaker 1: multiple tight end sets. They do a lot of pre
- 12:48Speaker 1: snapped shifts so they can gain either the numbers advantage
- 12:51Speaker 1: to the running side or the angle advantage. And so
- 12:54Speaker 1: there's gonna have to be a lot of communication, a
- 12:56Speaker 1: lot of dudes using proper technique to keep this running
- 12:59Speaker 1: game in check. They have, um, the dude Williams, and
- 13:04Speaker 1: then the guy from also the other running back from Georgia, Swift. Swift. Yeah,
- 13:08Speaker 1: and Swift. This is kind of like a Swiss army knife.
- 13:10Speaker 1: He can do it all. He can run, he can
- 13:12Speaker 1: run routes, he's a good blocker. And then and then Golf.
- 13:15Speaker 1: You know, we played him when he was with the Rams,
- 13:17Speaker 1: and then when he's able to move the pocket and
- 13:19Speaker 1: used player can pass. Uh, he could be an effective quarterback.
- 13:22Speaker 1: So I think they're gonna have to come prepare to
- 13:24Speaker 1: the assignment, alignment and assignment strong and just be ready
- 13:28Speaker 1: to fight the entire game. All right, I hope you're right,
- 13:31Speaker 1: Big Ray, Big Ray, the PhD and offensive line play.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Anytime you to figure out some stuff up front, we
- 13:37Speaker 1: get Ray Roberts to call. So Big Ray, appreciate you, man,
- 13:40Speaker 1: thanks for joining us. Yeah, you guys have a good
- 13:42Speaker 1: with man. Holliback yep, all right, see Haws once again
- 13:45Speaker 1: fall to the falcon twenty seven, twenty three time or
- 13:47Speaker 1: what had happened? See what happened at first? What had
- 13:53Speaker 1: happened was it was entertaining buff I'll say that it
- 13:58Speaker 1: was an entertaining football game. If you're in the stadium,
- 14:00Speaker 1: it was rocking, it was loud. If you're watching on TV,
- 14:02Speaker 1: it was entertaining. Unfortunately, from a Seahawks perspective, didn't go
- 14:06Speaker 1: to the Seahawks way. However, things started pretty good, especially offensively.
- 14:09Speaker 1: They opened up the game with their longest drive of
- 14:11Speaker 1: the season at the time, going eleven place for sixty
- 14:14Speaker 1: one yards, which ended in a Jason Meyers field goal.
- 14:16Speaker 1: But It kind of just showed you where they were going.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Things were clicking. You can tell right from the gate.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Rashad Penny hits a couple of nice runs. It just
- 14:22Speaker 1: everything just felt smooth. It felt like Shane Waldron from
- 14:25Speaker 1: the jump called a great game yesterday. They started out
- 14:29Speaker 1: that way and in the field goal the Falcons would
- 14:31Speaker 1: come back and answer with a seven place sixty eight
- 14:33Speaker 1: yard drive ending with a Mario to touchdown, and both
- 14:36Speaker 1: drives kind of showed how the game was gonna go
- 14:38Speaker 1: a little bit. The Seahawks were moving the ball, the
- 14:40Speaker 1: Falcons were also moving the ball and kind of showed
- 14:42Speaker 1: a precursor for later in the game with all the
- 14:44Speaker 1: big plays that they had. But both teams started off
- 14:46Speaker 1: pretty good. We're moving football. Yeah, both teams started off
- 14:50Speaker 1: doing their thing. You saw Marcus Mariota, good guys in
- 14:53Speaker 1: Vall he scores a touchdown. You talk about Gineo doing
- 14:55Speaker 1: his thing as well. After that, the Seahawks answer with
- 14:58Speaker 1: a six place seventy four yard drive and guess who
- 15:00Speaker 1: they find, Uncle Will Disley. That's always a good sign
- 15:03Speaker 1: get these tight ends going. Before that, they found Colby
- 15:06Speaker 1: Parkins him like a thirty six yard games on the
- 15:07Speaker 1: same drive they found the tight ends and I think
- 15:11Speaker 1: that's something when we think about opening up this offense,
- 15:13Speaker 1: and you hear Pete Carroll saying that those one of
- 15:15Speaker 1: the things I think about is getting these tight ends involved.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Can they continue to do that? We shall see, but
- 15:22Speaker 1: it's nice to feel like this is part of their offense.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Absolutely love seeing in that same drive, Fant, Parkinson, Disley
- 15:28Speaker 1: all had receptions, which is great. And as the game
- 15:31Speaker 1: kept moving on the field, the Falcons would get a
- 15:33Speaker 1: field goal, the Seahawks would punt, then the Falcons would
- 15:36Speaker 1: go on a nine play eighty nine yard drive ending
- 15:39Speaker 1: with a seventeen yard touchdown running by Cordelle Patterson, and
- 15:42Speaker 1: Patterson just killed the Seahawks all day long. Finished the
- 15:46Speaker 1: game with one hundred and forty one rush yard seventeen carries.
- 15:48Speaker 1: We talked about him on the preview podcast that he
- 15:51Speaker 1: was a dangerous guy, a guy that played receiver who's
- 15:53Speaker 1: really only in his second year running back. He's a
- 15:55Speaker 1: tall dude. Where's number eighty four? But he had things
- 15:58Speaker 1: going yesterday. He was tough to ta goal. He had
- 16:00Speaker 1: a ton of explosive plays and that really hurt the Seahawks.
- 16:03Speaker 1: You know defensively was Garda Patterson. But just like the
- 16:06Speaker 1: game was going back and forth, Seahawks would answer with
- 16:09Speaker 1: a long touchdown drive of their own, ending with a
- 16:11Speaker 1: DK Metcalf touchdown, which was the first touchdown of the season,
- 16:14Speaker 1: which would tie the game at seventeen. At seventeen, Seahawks
- 16:17Speaker 1: would kick a field goal going into half up twenty seventeen,
- 16:20Speaker 1: And when we did the halftime show bump, I felt good.
- 16:22Speaker 1: It felt like the Seahawks were in control. They were
- 16:24Speaker 1: giving up some big plays defensively, but it was a
- 16:26Speaker 1: really good, good half of football from an offensive standpoint.
- 16:29Speaker 1: They went field goal, touchdown, punt, touchdown, field goal, And
- 16:32Speaker 1: that's as good as you can have at going scoring
- 16:34Speaker 1: on four your first drives. Yeah, and it's in to have.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You got trieg Willing with a nice interception. It's nice
- 16:40Speaker 1: to get to seven. Of all. They're also getting DK's
- 16:43Speaker 1: first touchdown. What I liked about them getting DK's first
- 16:46Speaker 1: touchdown is that they did it in a way that
- 16:48Speaker 1: we haven't seen. They line him up in a nasty split,
- 16:50Speaker 1: get him nice and tired, have a receiver wrap around him.
- 16:52Speaker 1: He runs a fade. DK works to seem so now
- 16:55Speaker 1: you got him working on a linebacker initially, and now
- 16:58Speaker 1: you got that safety in a two way go and
- 17:00Speaker 1: do you know throws the ball high right where he
- 17:03Speaker 1: only knows DK can get that thing. Then coming out
- 17:06Speaker 1: the half, Drake Lenning gets the vall the guy to usc.
- 17:09Speaker 1: He was one of the guys that I highlighted before
- 17:11Speaker 1: this game because dude was a ball or as simple
- 17:14Speaker 1: as that Number five did his thing, broke a couple
- 17:16Speaker 1: of tackles. But the Falcon's up twenty seven to twenty three,
- 17:20Speaker 1: man and going into the fourth quarter, you know, the
- 17:23Speaker 1: Seahawks offensively, they just it's kind of been a team
- 17:26Speaker 1: this year. Whether they have things going in the first
- 17:28Speaker 1: half or not. It's not a lot of possessions in
- 17:30Speaker 1: the second half. Yea. The Seahawks had three real possessions
- 17:33Speaker 1: in the second half. Going into the fourth quarter, they
- 17:36Speaker 1: had a golden opportunity because the Falcons on a kind
- 17:39Speaker 1: of his own reading exchange, Mariota's trying to keep the ball.
- 17:43Speaker 1: They fumbled with the Seahawks recover, Channing gets a football
- 17:46Speaker 1: and you're thinking, okay, okay, the Seahawks are in business
- 17:49Speaker 1: getting the ball back down four points with five minutes
- 17:52Speaker 1: left in the game, and typically, you know Pete Carroll
- 17:54Speaker 1: teams throughout the years, this is winning time, you know
- 17:56Speaker 1: what I'm saying, And it felt that way they drive.
- 17:58Speaker 1: The Seahawks were moving the football and you alluded to
- 18:00Speaker 1: it with Ray earlier come back look promising. Gino Smith
- 18:04Speaker 1: hits Rashad Penny on a screenplay, gets a fourteen yard
- 18:07Speaker 1: game all the way down about the Falcons ten yard line.
- 18:09Speaker 1: You're thinking, Sehawks, you're gonna be in business. First in
- 18:11Speaker 1: goal down four. Unfortunately, Damian Lewis gets flagged for a
- 18:15Speaker 1: holding and it felt kind of ticky tack, but Pete
- 18:17Speaker 1: Carroll talked about it this morning. It was a hold
- 18:20Speaker 1: and it's just tough to see I get called. Unfortunately happened.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Then Gino gets sacked, and then the game came down
- 18:25Speaker 1: to essentially a fourth and eighteen desperation he from Gino
- 18:29Speaker 1: Smith that got intercepted by Richard Ganna the Falcons, and
- 18:32Speaker 1: anyone who's upset about that, come on, man, there's no
- 18:34Speaker 1: play for fourth and eighteen. Let me just put that
- 18:36Speaker 1: out there, like some of the things I saw, like,
- 18:38Speaker 1: come on, man, that's that's just a bad take. Gino
- 18:41Speaker 1: played really well. Gino played well and you know there's
- 18:43Speaker 1: a lot of positive you can take from that game, bump,
- 18:45Speaker 1: but just unfortunately did not get enough done. But let's
- 18:50Speaker 1: take a look at who made plays playmakers? Oh all right,
- 19:04Speaker 1: first playmaker of course is Gino Smith. Thirty two or
- 19:06Speaker 1: forty four three twenty five two touchdowns, one intercession that
- 19:09Speaker 1: you described just like you gotta throw the football there.
- 19:12Speaker 1: You can't take a sack, all right, your best best
- 19:15Speaker 1: chance just to throw it up and let one of
- 19:17Speaker 1: your guys have a chance. That it didn't work out
- 19:19Speaker 1: for him. He completed seventy two percent of his fast
- 19:22Speaker 1: This is only the third game that he's thrown for
- 19:24Speaker 1: over three hundred yards, first time since twenty fourteen. Gino
- 19:28Speaker 1: Smith is the best offensive player right now. Now there
- 19:31Speaker 1: there're guys with more talent. You got DK, you got Lockey,
- 19:33Speaker 1: Geer Shop. We saw can walk and get involved. You
- 19:36Speaker 1: look at the tight ends, the old line. But when
- 19:38Speaker 1: you look at what's making his offense go right now,
- 19:40Speaker 1: you have to look at Geno Smith. First two weeks,
- 19:42Speaker 1: he's over eighty percent completion rape and you feel like
- 19:46Speaker 1: he's in control of this offense. Now it's unfortunate the
- 19:49Speaker 1: way they end at the game. You got a penalty
- 19:51Speaker 1: on Damien, you got he takes a sack there and
- 19:53Speaker 1: then he's forced to throw it up. But for three
- 19:56Speaker 1: weeks I look at this man operate and I feel
- 19:59Speaker 1: confident that he's not gonna do anything to lose this
- 20:02Speaker 1: team the game. If anything, he gives more opportunities. So
- 20:06Speaker 1: Gino sith smith Man, kudos him. People counting him out,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and he's proving the doubt is wrong. Yea, as he said,
- 20:12Speaker 1: he didn't write back, which is being trademark by the way,
- 20:14Speaker 1: Gino knows what's going on trying the bag. But yeah,
- 20:17Speaker 1: through three games, Gino still holds the NFL lead in
- 20:21Speaker 1: completion percentage, number one in the league at seventy seven
- 20:23Speaker 1: point five percent, any seventh in QB rating at one
- 20:26Speaker 1: hundred point eight. So he's still doing this thing. And
- 20:28Speaker 1: I like what you said, Bump. He gives you the
- 20:30Speaker 1: trust that Pete Carroll and everyone should have in him,
- 20:32Speaker 1: and he's shown it. He's putting this team in position
- 20:35Speaker 1: to win offensively. So love to see that and then
- 20:37Speaker 1: miss a reliable sixteen number one in your heart's Tyler
- 20:40Speaker 1: Lockett nine receptions seventy six yards on eleven targets. Always
- 20:44Speaker 1: consistent when it's reception and target ratio, and boy, he
- 20:47Speaker 1: earned every yard that day. Man, he was getting hit.
- 20:50Speaker 1: He was doing everything good. He kind of came down
- 20:52Speaker 1: weird on his elbow shoulder. It seemed like Pete talked
- 20:55Speaker 1: about him having a stinger and once. Anytime you see
- 20:57Speaker 1: the arm kind of dangling down, anyone who's played football
- 20:59Speaker 1: is like, yep, I know exactly what he's feeling right now.
- 21:02Speaker 1: That arm is none shooting all the way up the shoulder.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Just gotta shake it off and lock. It's tough as hell, man.
- 21:07Speaker 1: So there's no no worries there. But Tyler's still doing
- 21:10Speaker 1: this thing. He's still big part of this offense. I'll
- 21:12Speaker 1: love to see it. He's mister anymediate, mister across the middle,
- 21:15Speaker 1: mister consistent. Not the biggest guy, but very reliable. Glad
- 21:19Speaker 1: he is okay, next guy, dk Metcat five receptions, sixty
- 21:23Speaker 1: four yards, one touchdown on twelve targets. Now he passes
- 21:28Speaker 1: Brian Blaze for fourth place for the most receiving yards
- 21:30Speaker 1: and employer's first four seasons in Seahawk history. But I
- 21:34Speaker 1: think what I really want to point out is just
- 21:36Speaker 1: the emphasis they had on getting this man in the ball. Yes,
- 21:39Speaker 1: he had five receptions, but he had twelve targets and
- 21:41Speaker 1: there were a couple of times where they threw him
- 21:43Speaker 1: the fifty fifty football And I think that's what they
- 21:44Speaker 1: needed to add to this offense because you have a
- 21:47Speaker 1: weapon like DK Matcats over there. I saw him in
- 21:50Speaker 1: the slot, I saw him outside, I saw him run
- 21:53Speaker 1: deep across the middle. Everything they could do to design
- 21:56Speaker 1: plays to at least get him in different spots on
- 21:58Speaker 1: the field. They it that. Now, he might not have
- 22:01Speaker 1: had the completion percentage that Lockett has, but what he
- 22:04Speaker 1: did do he put stuff on film, so there's more
- 22:06Speaker 1: stuff for teams to worry about, more for them to
- 22:08Speaker 1: prepare for it, and it just opens up his portfolio.
- 22:11Speaker 1: He's not just an outside guy. He can do some
- 22:14Speaker 1: things from the slot. So it didn't work out the
- 22:16Speaker 1: way the Hawks wanted to, but they got him his
- 22:18Speaker 1: first touchdown, they got on twelve targets, and they moved
- 22:20Speaker 1: him around. That's going to help his offense going forward. Yeah,
- 22:23Speaker 1: I love to see it, and I think a couple
- 22:24Speaker 1: of them, one of them on the side. Then, if
- 22:27Speaker 1: I recall was just a little bit underthrowing you like
- 22:29Speaker 1: for Gino get a little more air than that, because anytime,
- 22:32Speaker 1: anytime you look out and you see You've mentioned this
- 22:34Speaker 1: a million times, DK one on one coverage on the
- 22:36Speaker 1: corner and the safety in the middle of the field,
- 22:38Speaker 1: please through it, yeah, and just give him a chance
- 22:40Speaker 1: throw it up there high, just like he did on
- 22:41Speaker 1: the touchdown. So I'd love to see it from DK.
- 22:44Speaker 1: And then we talked about it earlier. The tight ends.
- 22:46Speaker 1: It's been a lot of topic of conversation for years
- 22:48Speaker 1: now about getting the tight ends involved, and I finally
- 22:50Speaker 1: feel like this season it's happening. We're seeing production from
- 22:53Speaker 1: Gwill Disley, We're seeing production from Kobe Parkinson. We're seeing
- 22:57Speaker 1: you know, a fan getting involved a little bit. We
- 22:59Speaker 1: touched we talked about a little earlier. In that touchdown drive.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Each one of them had a reception, each had an
- 23:03Speaker 1: explosive play in the game. So love to see what
- 23:06Speaker 1: the tight ends are doing. I think they're an important
- 23:08Speaker 1: part of this offense moving forward. And when you talk
- 23:10Speaker 1: about the Seahawks being multiple and stuff like that, those
- 23:12Speaker 1: guys need to be a factor in the game. And
- 23:14Speaker 1: we'll get into Will Disley's touchdown a little bit later.
- 23:16Speaker 1: But love to see what the tight ends are doing.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Love it, man, When you get the tight ends going
- 23:20Speaker 1: to meet, your play action is working because a lot
- 23:22Speaker 1: of the times, look at Colby's touchdown, it's awful play action.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Oh we'll break down will Disney touchdown? That was beautiful. Um.
- 23:29Speaker 1: I love what Disley did there. But yes, tight ends
- 23:32Speaker 1: are versatile. Love to see it. Darryl Taylor three tackles,
- 23:37Speaker 1: one QB hit in his first sack of the twenty
- 23:39Speaker 1: twenty two season. You'd like to see it, man. I
- 23:42Speaker 1: think you came out with a Bowl prediction and said
- 23:43Speaker 1: he's gonna have like ten to twelve sacks this year.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Eleven away, eleven away. Now let's go. You gotta get
- 23:51Speaker 1: this guy going. Man. Not only is he gonna provide
- 23:53Speaker 1: a pressure on the quarterback, but he's the guy that
- 23:57Speaker 1: has to contained, that can force things inside when they
- 23:59Speaker 1: try to run that outside zona that stretched looked to
- 24:02Speaker 1: his sign. I think the more he gets comfortable in
- 24:04Speaker 1: his offense, the more he understands his role, the more
- 24:06Speaker 1: we're gonna see games like this. Three tackles, one QB
- 24:09Speaker 1: hit in one set. Yeah, I think it's a tip
- 24:11Speaker 1: of the iceberg. For Darryl Taylor. We saw a little
- 24:14Speaker 1: bit last year, and I think it's just getting adjusted
- 24:16Speaker 1: to this three four defense and being asked to do
- 24:18Speaker 1: different stuff. I feel like then he's been asked to
- 24:20Speaker 1: do in the past quite frankly, So I think we're
- 24:22Speaker 1: gonna see DT get it going, just like we've seen
- 24:24Speaker 1: Nu Chen to be productive. We've seen Daryl Johnson be productive.
- 24:27Speaker 1: There's a lot of guys that could contribute. Love to
- 24:29Speaker 1: see from him. And then the rookie man Tarek wool
- 24:31Speaker 1: and four tackles, one pass defense, first interception of his career,
- 24:35Speaker 1: sat out to Big Ray who called that in the
- 24:37Speaker 1: pre game. Came to fruition and man Terik is just
- 24:41Speaker 1: the Sky's element for that dude. We had him on
- 24:43Speaker 1: Hawks Live last week and he's just a good dude.
- 24:46Speaker 1: He's someone that you just see the potential in. Can't
- 24:48Speaker 1: teach four two six, teach that six four wingspan and
- 24:53Speaker 1: then his speed and technique, and he just nearly missed
- 24:56Speaker 1: a crossing route across the middle, was a little behind,
- 24:59Speaker 1: but you saw the closing speed and he just barely
- 25:01Speaker 1: missed it by an inch or two. So Terek's gonna
- 25:03Speaker 1: do really good things, and he's a guy that I
- 25:05Speaker 1: look to see in this segment quite frankly, for most
- 25:08Speaker 1: of the rest of this year. Now we've talked about
- 25:11Speaker 1: some of the receivers bump, but tell me what stands
- 25:13Speaker 1: out when you look at the box score, when you're
- 25:15Speaker 1: looking at the receivers and everyone who caught passes yesterday,
- 25:19Speaker 1: there's a lot of names in that box score. You
- 25:21Speaker 1: got Penny hard and had a reception. He's been done
- 25:23Speaker 1: on special teams, doesn't get enough love. Got Mark he's
- 25:25Speaker 1: good and at two for thirty one, one big catch
- 25:27Speaker 1: on the fourth down. We mentioned the Titans getting involved,
- 25:30Speaker 1: he got DJ Dallas with two for seventeen. Ken Walker
- 25:33Speaker 1: had three for fourteen. He also had an impressive play
- 25:36Speaker 1: on a jet sweeps where he gained twenty twenty one yards,
- 25:39Speaker 1: and then he got Ris Shot Penny for three. So
- 25:41Speaker 1: you look at every position that was capable of catching
- 25:43Speaker 1: a football caught a football. Obviously, the receivers got going,
- 25:46Speaker 1: you got the Titans evolved, and you get the running backs,
- 25:49Speaker 1: not only the starting running back, but the backup running back.
- 25:52Speaker 1: You got the backup receivers getting involved. So the more
- 25:55Speaker 1: the merrier. Man keep spreading that football around and this
- 25:58Speaker 1: offense has the potential to put up twenty four to
- 26:01Speaker 1: twenty five points a game, easy, no question about it.
- 26:04Speaker 1: This offense is definitely this is just the beginning. I
- 26:06Speaker 1: think Shane Waldron had a cooking yesterday. We talked about it.
- 26:09Speaker 1: He's the man right now, and I feel like, I
- 26:11Speaker 1: think what it was a Gino who said a postgame
- 26:13Speaker 1: where he was like, man, Hane was on it. It
- 26:15Speaker 1: was played after player was this was that? So when
- 26:17Speaker 1: when a quarterback feels that way that the offensive coordinator
- 26:20Speaker 1: is calling a game that can get them into the
- 26:21Speaker 1: right spots, things are Things are definitely looking up for
- 26:24Speaker 1: the Seahawks. Well, now we alluded to it. That will
- 26:27Speaker 1: distantly touchdown in the coach's corner because as Bump said,
- 26:30Speaker 1: it was a thing of beauty, empty backfield. On second
- 26:33Speaker 1: and thirteen, Gino negotiate touchdowns, great protection for Geno. He waited,
- 26:42Speaker 1: waited and will distly comes open at to go on.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Geno fires a shot and the Seahawks scoring their first
- 26:50Speaker 1: touchdown in six quarters and they retake the lead at
- 26:54Speaker 1: nine to seven. All right, man, this is a great
- 26:58Speaker 1: play design in a timely call as well. They catch
- 27:01Speaker 1: the Atlanta Falcons in it, and a Mike blitz right here.
- 27:04Speaker 1: That's some middle linebacker blitz him. But you're in an
- 27:06Speaker 1: empty formation. You got two receivers up top, you got
- 27:09Speaker 1: three down to the bottom. Two tight ends in Rashad Penny.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Rashad pennies that number one receiver. Number two is Kobe
- 27:14Speaker 1: and then you have Will Disley in the traditional tight
- 27:17Speaker 1: end set, but he's in a two point stands instead
- 27:19Speaker 1: of a three point stands. Like I mentioned, the Mike blitzes.
- 27:22Speaker 1: So I think Geno sees that he goes there's a
- 27:24Speaker 1: couple of places I can go with this football. I
- 27:25Speaker 1: believe that's DK in the slot up top. He runs
- 27:28Speaker 1: a little shallow so he occupies the place that Mike vacates.
- 27:34Speaker 1: But it's really what happens on the bottom with Will
- 27:36Speaker 1: Dissey and Kobe Parkinson. Parkinson does a good job. That's
- 27:39Speaker 1: running a nice little speed out. What that does and
- 27:41Speaker 1: it pulls that mic er sam with him, opening up
- 27:44Speaker 1: that space that the MIC vacated even more. Here's what
- 27:47Speaker 1: Will Disley does the health out. He stems at that
- 27:50Speaker 1: same backer that Kobe is pulling with him. With that
- 27:53Speaker 1: speed out, so it looks like a bench combination. We
- 27:55Speaker 1: call that a double out, a bench combination. Bam. That
- 27:58Speaker 1: backer continues to get wide. But what he does as
- 28:00Speaker 1: he snaps it up and he's going right up the
- 28:03Speaker 1: middle with that two safety. Look, that's part that's the
- 28:07Speaker 1: soft spot on that defense. Down below. Rashad Penny is
- 28:10Speaker 1: just running a go so you gotta go on the bottom.
- 28:12Speaker 1: You get the two tight ends getting wide, those safeties
- 28:16Speaker 1: are naturally going to split. Gino now throws the ball
- 28:19Speaker 1: a perfect football right on time, right out of the
- 28:22Speaker 1: reach of that safety that was on the side of
- 28:24Speaker 1: Uncle Will and Kolbe, and it's a bang bang play.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Like if he holds the ball a split second longer,
- 28:30Speaker 1: this does not happen. Good play design. I wonder as
- 28:33Speaker 1: Shane Waldron knew, okay, in this situation when it's second
- 28:37Speaker 1: and long, this is the defense they like to play.
- 28:40Speaker 1: This is the blitz they like to dial up. So
- 28:42Speaker 1: he called it Bam, touchdown. Good guys. Yeah, I feel
- 28:45Speaker 1: like they skim him up a little bit. And you
- 28:47Speaker 1: alluded to it at the beginning. So when Kobe goes
- 28:49Speaker 1: out to the flat and Will Disley stems that backer outside.
- 28:53Speaker 1: It's just one step because the linebacker forty four for
- 28:56Speaker 1: the Falcons actually doesn't play this horribly. He gets unth
- 29:00Speaker 1: and he takes one step to his left and that's
- 29:02Speaker 1: too much for him to recover. Like you said, Gino
- 29:04Speaker 1: Smith a dime on it, because I mean he he
- 29:07Speaker 1: gets his hand, he just barely missed it. So it's
- 29:09Speaker 1: a great play in the execution all around from Gino,
- 29:11Speaker 1: from Kobe Parkinson and from Will Disley, and those are
- 29:15Speaker 1: the kind of things you love to see, man, when
- 29:16Speaker 1: when everything works out the way it's supposed to. Protection
- 29:19Speaker 1: holds up, guys run their outs, you know, to what
- 29:22Speaker 1: they're supposed to do to influence different guys, and you
- 29:25Speaker 1: just love to see his perfection. Almost so I want
- 29:27Speaker 1: to see Uncle Will catching more touchdowns. I want to
- 29:29Speaker 1: see more of those things. But unfortunately bump this week,
- 29:34Speaker 1: clock just ran out an taking fire Huntley. They're just
- 29:41Speaker 1: gonna left the clock wind down. But it's not even
- 29:42Speaker 1: gonna bother taking that last time out that box score bump.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Second week in a row, it's hasn't looked great, but
- 29:52Speaker 1: this was the one that was weird because this week
- 29:54Speaker 1: it kind of felt like, okay, if I'm just looking
- 29:56Speaker 1: at the box screen. I just look at offense. I'm thinking, well,
- 29:58Speaker 1: to see how they won the game on paper? Now
- 30:00Speaker 1: the time of possession man or play sixty nine to
- 30:05Speaker 1: fifty four, out gaining for twenty three eighty six. They
- 30:08Speaker 1: also want the turnover battle. Those are the ones you
- 30:10Speaker 1: check off and you assume the Seahawks win big. The
- 30:12Speaker 1: only thing that stood out in the box score against
- 30:15Speaker 1: the Seahawks was the amount of rush yards I gave
- 30:18Speaker 1: up to the Falcons, and and it was it was
- 30:20Speaker 1: just tough. You just feel weird looking at and you're like, man,
- 30:24Speaker 1: there's good things that come from it. That's why it's
- 30:26Speaker 1: hard for me to be negative today because there's so
- 30:28Speaker 1: much good that happened in the game yesterday. Yes, it's
- 30:31Speaker 1: a loss. Yes you don't want to learn lessons and losses,
- 30:33Speaker 1: but for me, everything that came out of it, I
- 30:36Speaker 1: just I'm encouraged. I'm encouraged after that, you know what
- 30:38Speaker 1: I'm saying. Yeah, And I think Pete is too. I
- 30:41Speaker 1: heard him earlier today in one of his Eyes interviews.
- 30:43Speaker 1: He goes, look, that was a good game, and it
- 30:45Speaker 1: was a good game. And if you look at this
- 30:46Speaker 1: game without your Seahawk lenses on right, and you're just
- 30:51Speaker 1: a consumer of football one. You're gonna leave the game
- 30:54Speaker 1: saying that was a good game. Both teams played well,
- 30:57Speaker 1: they competed. They're gonna look at these stats and say,
- 31:00Speaker 1: man four in the twenty yards on offense, took care
- 31:02Speaker 1: of the football, possessed the rod, like the Hawks are
- 31:05Speaker 1: moving in the right direction, you know what I mean.
- 31:07Speaker 1: I think because of the history of this organization and
- 31:10Speaker 1: some expectations of folks, they look at this loss and
- 31:13Speaker 1: all they can think of as a negative. You want
- 31:15Speaker 1: to win ball games. I understand them, But look at
- 31:19Speaker 1: the progression of this offense. Defense has to fix some
- 31:22Speaker 1: things as well, and these guys are moving in the
- 31:24Speaker 1: right direction. Was unfortunate is they only scored three points
- 31:26Speaker 1: in the second half. Any more than that, Right, you
- 31:30Speaker 1: got to be able to continue to put pressure on defenses.
- 31:34Speaker 1: But end of the day, they had a chance to
- 31:35Speaker 1: win the game. Yep, they had a chance. Unfortunately, the
- 31:39Speaker 1: Seahawks fell short twenty seven to twenty three to the
- 31:42Speaker 1: Atlanta Falcons. Fall into one in two on the season.
- 31:44Speaker 1: But listening out man, the NFCUS, there's three teams that
- 31:46Speaker 1: are one in two. The Rams are two and one,
- 31:48Speaker 1: so there's definitely a lot of room for the Seahawks
- 31:51Speaker 1: to improve. They're taking on Detroit this Sunday, bright and early.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Michael Bumpus and I will be back with you on
