- 0:24Ron Meyers: Hello, my friends, it is so good to be with you today.
- 0:26Ron Meyers: I love power, I love faith, I love to walk out of my house each and every morning knowing that I am okay with Jesus.
- 0:38Ron Meyers: I am, and so are you if you are a believer in Christ.
- 0:42Ron Meyers: But unfortunately, people, we don't have enough churches, we don't have enough preachers telling you, reminding you of your identification with Jesus, who you are.
- 0:55Ron Meyers: You are wholly righteous, blameless.
- 0:57Ron Meyers: The apostle Paul said that you and I Christians, are complete in Christ.
- 1:03Ron Meyers: We lack nothing to live a godly life bearing much fruit.
- 1:10Ron Meyers: I will go into that in a few more minutes in my monologue.
- 1:14Ron Meyers: But today, my guest man I love this lady, janet Perez Eccles, her story, wow.
- 1:23Ron Meyers: She is going to share her first hand experience of Jesus victorious living in her life despite trauma and adversity.
- 1:35Ron Meyers: She has a book out and we are so glad to talk to her today about this book.
- 1:41Ron Meyers: And, janet, the book is called Now I See how God's Amazing Grace Turns Betrayal, blindness and Heartache to Shining Joy.
- 1:52Ron Meyers: Janet, I love your story.
- 1:55Janet Perez Eckles: You know, when you read the subtitles, the deepest pain.
- 1:57Janet Perez Eckles: I think, ron, today so many people are going through those episodes dark times, gloomy times, the world is a mess and they're wondering where do we go from here.
- 2:06Janet Perez Eckles: And I think my story, ron, I'm hoping is one that would give people the new side of darkness, the new side of adversity, because I found that to be true in my life when I was 30, a disease or the retinase did my side completely.
- 2:24Janet Perez Eckles: It was a matter of 18 months and it started closing in from the sides.
- 2:29Janet Perez Eckles: At first it's called retinitis pigmentosa and at the beginning I was kind of concerned.
- 2:35Janet Perez Eckles: I'm thinking, what is going on?
- 2:37Janet Perez Eckles: Of course the ophthalmology specialist all said there's no cure, there's no treatment, no surgery, there's absolutely nothing.
- 2:43Janet Perez Eckles: But I thought, no, I still have a little bit of sight.
- 2:46Janet Perez Eckles: But then, 18 months later, my vision closed completely and I was horrified because that meant that I'd be blind the rest of my life.
- 2:57Janet Perez Eckles: And at 30, 31, I was just beginning my life.
- 3:00Janet Perez Eckles: My little boys were three, five and seven years old.
- 3:03Janet Perez Eckles: I had a loving husband, my daughter, and all of a sudden here I am facing the rest of my life in darkness.
- 3:13Janet Perez Eckles: And my husband couldn't take that episode.
- 3:17Janet Perez Eckles: It was traumatic for him, I imagine, and he came home one day and told me that he found somebody else.
- 3:22Janet Perez Eckles: So that physical darkness turned into an emotional darkness, feeling rejected, thinking now what's going to happen to me, to my little boys?
- 3:32Janet Perez Eckles: So I was pretty much devastated.
- 3:36Janet Perez Eckles: And of course I think some of you listeners might identify that when things go so wrong, so unexpectedly, so out of your control, you begin to think why me?
- 3:47Janet Perez Eckles: You know so pretty to think and you wonder where is God?
- 3:52Janet Perez Eckles: Why has he abandoned me like this?
- 3:55Janet Perez Eckles: What did I do to deserve this?
- 3:56Janet Perez Eckles: I used to think that too.
- 3:57Janet Perez Eckles: I wondered you know what?
- 4:01Janet Perez Eckles: Did I commit so many sins?
- 4:02Janet Perez Eckles: Because I grew up Catholic.
- 4:03Janet Perez Eckles: So I was thinking what can the sin do?
- 4:05Janet Perez Eckles: I have to be punished this way.
- 4:08Janet Perez Eckles: But something beautiful happened right In the midst of my transformation.
- 4:12Janet Perez Eckles: A friend invited me to a Christian church and I thought wait a minute, I'm Catholic, I can't go to a Christian church.
- 4:18Janet Perez Eckles: That's not right, that's against our doctrine.
- 4:22Janet Perez Eckles: But I was so desperate for healing because she said, if you're having a healing service, then I put a side on my Catholic limitations and boundaries and I went with her and they prayed for me, but nothing happened.
- 4:35Janet Perez Eckles: No healing.
- 4:36Janet Perez Eckles: I was still blind, completely blind.
- 4:38Janet Perez Eckles: No shadows, no colors.
- 4:39Janet Perez Eckles: I saw absolutely nothing.
- 4:41Janet Perez Eckles: I still don't.
- 4:41Janet Perez Eckles: But what did happen was something totally amazing that changed everything for me.
- 4:48Janet Perez Eckles: It was a verse in the Bible that they read.
- 4:50Janet Perez Eckles: It said first the kingdom of God in his right business and all these things will be added on to you.
- 4:58Janet Perez Eckles: And I thought what is he saying?
- 5:02Janet Perez Eckles: Seek him first.
- 5:03Janet Perez Eckles: Well, I was to give birth.
- 5:04Janet Perez Eckles: I wanted to see again, I wanted to be normal again, and when my husband used to love me, I wanted to be a mommy to my little boys.
- 5:12Janet Perez Eckles: The guy's got the same Seek me first.
- 5:16Janet Perez Eckles: What I did is I cried.
- 5:18Janet Perez Eckles: I did it in my heart.
- 5:19Janet Perez Eckles: I said how does one seek you?
- 5:22Janet Perez Eckles: I had no clue.
- 5:23Janet Perez Eckles: I told him I don't know how to do that.
- 5:25Janet Perez Eckles: He showed me how to do it and he did.
- 5:29Janet Perez Eckles: A friend of mine gave me a bottle, an audio, and I began to listen to God's Word.
- 5:37Janet Perez Eckles: Now, I'm sure a lot of you listeners read the Bible, or maybe they don't, but to me the Bible seems like an overwhelming type of book.
- 5:45Janet Perez Eckles: I didn't understand it.
- 5:46Janet Perez Eckles: I didn't know what to grasp, how to go about it.
- 5:49Janet Perez Eckles: But when I began to read it and with my heart that was so empty, so desperate, so longing for answers, his Word came alive and it made sense and it was like.
- 6:00Janet Perez Eckles: It was like he was writing it just for me and the book of Psalms, when he says my Word will be a vantage feed in the library of God, I thought I stopped and I held my breath and I said how does he know?
- 6:12Janet Perez Eckles: That's what I need.
- 6:13Janet Perez Eckles: I need somebody to guide me, I need somebody to take me step by step in the star world.
- 6:18Janet Perez Eckles: And you know what else I did run.
- 6:21Janet Perez Eckles: Whatever I read, I believed it, and I read that God has a plan for us, plans to prosper, as neither how much plans to give us hope in the future.
- 6:30Janet Perez Eckles: I said okay, lord, I'm going to believe you.
- 6:33Janet Perez Eckles: I don't know what that future looks like for me.
- 6:35Janet Perez Eckles: I don't know what will become of me in my blindness, in my blindness, in my marriage that's fallen apart.
- 6:41Janet Perez Eckles: But I'm going to hang on to your promise and I'm going to hope in you and I'm going to believe that the future you have for me is going to be good.
- 6:50Janet Perez Eckles: I don't know how it could be, but I'm going to believe it.
- 6:54Janet Perez Eckles: And, oh, I'm here to tell you, ron, she did exactly that.
- 6:58Janet Perez Eckles: Wow.
- 6:59Janet Perez Eckles: He healed my marriage.
- 7:01Janet Perez Eckles: He opened up the doors for me to become an inter-Spanish interpreter, an award-winning Spanish interpreter, to become an author, a speaker traveling internationally.
- 7:14Janet Perez Eckles: And then I looked back, ron, and you know what I remembered.
- 7:17Janet Perez Eckles: I remember what he said If you take at first all these things, he'll be added on to you.
- 7:24Janet Perez Eckles: Well, he did Decades.
- 7:27Janet Perez Eckles: Now that I've been with that side, I see how he just keeps adding them.
- 7:31Janet Perez Eckles: Wow, and I don't know, my cup of water flows right.
- 7:35Janet Perez Eckles: Wow, so you know my blindness.
- 7:37Janet Perez Eckles: It turned out to be a blessing.
- 7:38Ron Meyers: Yep.
- 7:38Ron Meyers: So I was going to ask you do you think, if you wouldn't have lost your eyesight, do you think you would be where you are today?
- 7:47Janet Perez Eckles: You know, ron, that is an excellent question.
- 7:50Janet Perez Eckles: I wish more people would ask that because that's so important.
- 7:53Janet Perez Eckles: Before I lost my sight, I was a go-kart, focused on what I needed to do Plans for my life, vacations.
- 8:00Janet Perez Eckles: The cars were drove, the house was lived in, you know social settings, the design was closed, all the things to the world.
- 8:06Janet Perez Eckles: But you know what?
- 8:07Janet Perez Eckles: Pretty much ahead at all.
- 8:08Janet Perez Eckles: When I was sighted, I had a great job with all the beautiful stories.
- 8:12Janet Perez Eckles: Home.
- 8:12Janet Perez Eckles: I could stay home with my little boys.
- 8:14Janet Perez Eckles: We were doing financially well.
- 8:16Janet Perez Eckles: My boys were healthy.
- 8:18Janet Perez Eckles: They were beautiful.
- 8:19Janet Perez Eckles: I was healthy.
- 8:20Janet Perez Eckles: I had everything.
- 8:21Janet Perez Eckles: I had everything.
- 8:22Janet Perez Eckles: You know what?
- 8:23Janet Perez Eckles: There was an emptiness in me that never knew how to fill it and had I not stopped my lost my sight, I would still be longing for that.
- 8:32Janet Perez Eckles: But when my physical eyesight one my spiritual eyes game 2020 vision Wow, wow, yes, it's great at work.
- 8:43Janet Perez Eckles: How he is so faithful to a summer this, how he gives you the comfort, the guidance, the provisions for every step, I would have never know.
- 8:53Janet Perez Eckles: My heart is just so full and so overflowing with Joy only because I'm walking in here, I'm leaning on him, I'm trusting him and I know you probably didn't get a chance to read my whole book, but in my book it's actually a memoir.
- 9:09Janet Perez Eckles: I include other tragedies, not just listening my side much worse tragedies than that, but still the Lord was made true and speaking of your book, there's an excerpt in this book.
- 9:21Ron Meyers: I want to read it.
- 9:22Ron Meyers: It says maybe at this moment you are sitting on the floor with the pieces of your broken heart strong around you.
- 9:28Ron Meyers: Terminal has turned your world upside down and the flood of tears won't stop.
- 9:33Ron Meyers: Answers, healing, solution and change are nowhere to be found in the ugly, chaos and dark fog of despair.
- 9:42Ron Meyers: What would you tell someone that says they're just raised their hand and said, oh my god, she's talking about me.
- 9:48Janet Perez Eckles: That's true.
- 9:48Janet Perez Eckles: So many people are right now.
- 9:50Janet Perez Eckles: You know suicide is an all-time high and I would say to them you know you, when you go through that dark fog of despair we tend to look at.
- 10:00Janet Perez Eckles: The second thing is we tend to look at this situation how am I going to resolve it?
- 10:04Janet Perez Eckles: But I would encourage them to take your eyes for a moment off.
- 10:07Janet Perez Eckles: The second thing is the painful episode and lift your eyes to the Lord and begin seeking him, seeking his word.
- 10:14Janet Perez Eckles: What is he saying to you now?
- 10:16Janet Perez Eckles: Is he saying, okay, you're on your own now, figured out?
- 10:20Janet Perez Eckles: Or is he saying to you I am faithful.
- 10:22Janet Perez Eckles: Will he not me?
- 10:23Janet Perez Eckles: Trust me, hold on to me?
- 10:25Janet Perez Eckles: Are you listening to his promise?
- 10:27Janet Perez Eckles: This is I will help you, I will strengthen you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
- 10:33Janet Perez Eckles: Begin to listen to his word, focus on him and embrace his promises.
- 10:39Janet Perez Eckles: You see, I had to do that.
- 10:40Janet Perez Eckles: I had no one else and, by the way, I'm not ever, ever, would I ever say that counseling is not valuable, because I'm sure it is, but I never really went to one single counseling session.
- 10:51Janet Perez Eckles: My counselor was the Lord, amen.
- 10:52Janet Perez Eckles: My therapist was his word.
- 10:55Janet Perez Eckles: He had the game of the strength and no human could give me.
- 10:59Janet Perez Eckles: So if you just change your focus from your situation and you know, here's the secret one.
- 11:03Janet Perez Eckles: The secret is to Express out loud, say what you live.
- 11:07Janet Perez Eckles: Lord, I am counting on you.
- 11:10Janet Perez Eckles: I'm a God, I am believing that your son Jesus, you, will give me the peace and I'm going to trust in you.
- 11:17Janet Perez Eckles: Any moment that you begin to think about the for me, why me?
- 11:21Janet Perez Eckles: My husband's leaving me, I'm going to be evicted from my house, or the diagnosis I just received from the doctor.
- 11:27Janet Perez Eckles: What you need to do is speak.
- 11:29Janet Perez Eckles: That was both.
- 11:30Janet Perez Eckles: You are my healer, you are my provider.
- 11:32Janet Perez Eckles: You promised you would help me.
- 11:34Janet Perez Eckles: I am believing and I am receiving that promise right now.
- 11:37Janet Perez Eckles: Amen, he's doing that.
- 11:38Janet Perez Eckles: I'm just a lot and I think he Please, and he does look down upon us Because he knows our thoughts, he hears our words and, yeah, also there's the way we hold in our hearts.
- 11:49Ron Meyers: Wow, you are just a breath of fresh air.
- 11:52Ron Meyers: Listeners, I'm speaking with Janet Perez Eccles and her book is Just an outstanding book.
- 12:00Janet Perez Eckles: It's called now I see in the subtitle is how God's amazing grace Transforms the deepest name, shining joy, and I named it.
- 12:10Janet Perez Eckles: Now I see from the song amazing grace.
- 12:12Janet Perez Eckles: You know, I was lost and I was found.
- 12:14Janet Perez Eckles: I was left blind.
- 12:15Janet Perez Eckles: Now I see, and I tell you, do I I never so better my life after Christ Jesus became the Lord of my life?
- 12:24Janet Perez Eckles: Yes, that's right now, I think amen.
- 12:27Ron Meyers: Know that.
- 12:27Ron Meyers: You know.
- 12:27Ron Meyers: I tell people that I Encourage my listeners to have the daily maybe minute-to-minute conversations with Jesus.
- 12:36Ron Meyers: Isn't that what we need?
- 12:37Ron Meyers: It is just a unshakable faith in Jesus.
- 12:42Janet Perez Eckles: That's right.
- 12:43Janet Perez Eckles: That's exactly where it's at right now.
- 12:45Janet Perez Eckles: We we look at the things that are going on in the world, in our personal life, but we forget that those of us who have accepted Christ, who's Lord of our life is Christ Jesus.
- 12:55Janet Perez Eckles: We have to remember we have his power at working on, we have his supernatural anointing and power to be able to conquer anything.
- 13:04Janet Perez Eckles: And Sometimes we walk around who, who pulled me?
- 13:08Janet Perez Eckles: Or what's this?
- 13:09Janet Perez Eckles: What's this?
- 13:09Janet Perez Eckles: Why keep on trying?
- 13:10Janet Perez Eckles: We got saying then that you have my power, or your Holy Spirit is active, believe it, embrace it.
- 13:18Janet Perez Eckles: You sit, walk on that belief and you write nonsense.
- 13:21Janet Perez Eckles: But that's really what we need now.
- 13:23Janet Perez Eckles: And he, jesus, died.
- 13:25Janet Perez Eckles: He warned us, he said in this world he won't have trouble.
- 13:28Janet Perez Eckles: But then he said hey, take heart, meaning listen up.
- 13:31Janet Perez Eckles: I came that world, you're the overgainist.
- 13:38Janet Perez Eckles: So why sink into the room and the cast when you say you know I am standing in Christ's Word that he overcame, he brought the victory, he has my triumph.
- 13:51Janet Perez Eckles: I am more than a conqueror.
- 13:53Janet Perez Eckles: I'm going to live like that, amen.
- 13:56Janet Perez Eckles: Now people may be saying right now around listening to us, but you don't know what I'm going through.
- 14:00Janet Perez Eckles: We have no idea.
- 14:01Janet Perez Eckles: So hard.
- 14:02Janet Perez Eckles: And I've been there because another tragedy happened in my life.
- 14:06Janet Perez Eckles: One night we received a phone call.
- 14:08Janet Perez Eckles: Every parent died late at night, but my Joe, 19 at the time, my youngest one, the youngest of my three boys was wounded and I don't know who could have wounded him.
- 14:18Janet Perez Eckles: My Joe always attended a Bible study.
- 14:20Janet Perez Eckles: He was captain of the cross team, captain of his football team in high school.
- 14:25Janet Perez Eckles: He was witty, he was extremely handsome and he always made me laugh.
- 14:30Janet Perez Eckles: But my Joe?
- 14:31Janet Perez Eckles: What could have happened to him?
- 14:32Janet Perez Eckles: So we rushed to the emergency room and in that room we waited and waited, praying Lord.
- 14:38Janet Perez Eckles: What happened to our son, you know, be with him.
- 14:40Janet Perez Eckles: So then, finally, doctors walked in and they asked us are you the pin for Joe?
- 14:44Janet Perez Eckles: I was going to jump to my seat and they asked well, you see how easy.
- 14:47Janet Perez Eckles: When can we take him?
- 14:48Janet Perez Eckles: What happened?
- 14:49Janet Perez Eckles: And that's when the doctor around told us that my Joe had not survived the 23 stab when he had received.
- 14:55Janet Perez Eckles: He was at the wrong place.
- 14:57Janet Perez Eckles: He and another man, I guess, exchanged words on the road.
- 15:00Janet Perez Eckles: We don't know.
- 15:00Janet Perez Eckles: They pulled into the 7-Eleven parking lot to get out of the car.
- 15:04Janet Perez Eckles: So my son didn't know, the man was under the knife and my world crumbled.
- 15:09Janet Perez Eckles: I couldn't breathe, I was numb with pain.
- 15:10Janet Perez Eckles: But you know, in that moment of agony God spoke to my heart so clearly.
- 15:12Janet Perez Eckles: He said be still and know that I am God.
- 15:14Janet Perez Eckles: What he was telling me is that he understood and he made me just be still and recognize that he still had the same power, the same faithfulness, same grace and comfort that he has shown.
- 15:31Janet Perez Eckles: When I left my side many years back, the nurses were coming to me that emergency, when they were pressing a pill and the palm of my hand saying ma'am, take this, take this.
- 15:40Janet Perez Eckles: They wanted to give me a glass of water.
- 15:41Janet Perez Eckles: I think they thought any moment now I would explode in hysteria and just go and lose it.
- 15:48Janet Perez Eckles: But I wasn't.
- 15:49Janet Perez Eckles: I was so focused on Lord speaking to him.
- 15:52Janet Perez Eckles: Lord, grab me the strength, grab me the faith, but I need you.
- 15:56Janet Perez Eckles: I was speaking to the Lord in my heart.
- 15:58Janet Perez Eckles: I wasn't screaming hysterically or anything, because I had to be strong for my husband, for my parents, for other two sons.
- 16:03Janet Perez Eckles: I had to be there for them and the Lord was so faithful.
- 16:07Janet Perez Eckles: He gave me the peace, he gave me the comfort, he gave me the strength and in that peace run I remembered wait a minute I'm not afraid of from my children only because two years prior he had gone to an adult fellowship or a personal athletes camp and he accepted and invited Christ as his savior.
- 16:26Janet Perez Eckles: I knew where Joe would be, I knew he was in heaven and I also knew that I'm going to see him again.
- 16:33Janet Perez Eckles: So with that guarantee, in that sense of hope, that sorrow that could have consumed me turned to gratitude, great hope.
- 16:43Janet Perez Eckles: But because I can live with that hope, I can live with that joy, I'm going to see him again.
- 16:50Janet Perez Eckles: What a privilege, what a privilege it is to be able to still write books, to still travel on the country and internationally to share the truth that with Christ Jesus there's no tragedy that doesn't turn to triumph.
- 17:05Ron Meyers: So, janet, there are people listening right now.
- 17:08Ron Meyers: Maybe they never even talk to Jesus.
- 17:10Ron Meyers: They really aren't that concerned.
- 17:12Ron Meyers: They don't even think there's a God out there.
- 17:14Ron Meyers: But now you have the microphone and you can talk to him.
- 17:16Ron Meyers: Who is Jesus to you?
- 17:19Janet Perez Eckles: For me, what it means is that he is my best friend.
- 17:23Janet Perez Eckles: He is the one I go to, he's the one I trust, and there are so many things in my life, you know, as I travel by myself, it sometimes can be risky, but you know what.
- 17:33Janet Perez Eckles: He is with me, so it's always feared.
- 17:35Janet Perez Eckles: I can count on him.
- 17:36Janet Perez Eckles: I can talk to him and I do many times and I believe him, and what I do is I get to know him.
- 17:42Janet Perez Eckles: You know what?
- 17:43Janet Perez Eckles: So for you and I are talking, you know I know a little bit about my ministry podcast radio show, how you inspire people.
- 17:51Janet Perez Eckles: I learned that by talking to you and by and you learned about me by hearing my story.
- 17:55Janet Perez Eckles: I think, with Jesus, I learned about him by reading about him how he raised his dad, how he healed the sick, how he was so excited about what he did with me spiritually which is a better side to have them physically right.
- 18:09Janet Perez Eckles: So I see how he reacted, how he went about.
- 18:13Janet Perez Eckles: His love, compassion, his faithfulness.
- 18:16Janet Perez Eckles: That's what I mean to know someone who can give you something that no one in this world can give you.
- 18:24Ron Meyers: Wow.
- 18:25Janet Perez Eckles: You can know that he will always give you the truth.
- 18:26Janet Perez Eckles: When the world aligns with you, he has the truth.
- 18:30Ron Meyers: That's what Jesus means your heart is full of Jesus, and thank you so much.
- 18:34Ron Meyers: And before we go, can I get you to pray for us?
- 18:39Janet Perez Eckles: Oh, father, god, you know, those listening to this program some of them, lord are at a place where I was in darkness, loneliness, desperation, wondering.
- 18:49Janet Perez Eckles: Is there an answer?
- 18:50Janet Perez Eckles: Is there a solution, father?
- 18:52Janet Perez Eckles: I seek to them and I answer that they would choose to live their life toward you, that their heart would return to you, that they would embrace and receive your promises for you.
- 19:02Janet Perez Eckles: I pray that today, as they hear, this program would be the day of change, a new beginning of transformation.
- 19:10Janet Perez Eckles: That they may not look at the circumstances but seek Christ's Jesus instead.
- 19:15Janet Perez Eckles: That he could give you and your faithfulness, so that they would put aside any misconceptions about who you are.
- 19:22Janet Perez Eckles: That began a pure life with you, surrendering their lives, their situations, their futures, all to you, about Jesus, and I pray for us and peace upon them.
- 19:33Janet Perez Eckles: I pray peace upon them and I pray new answers, new horizons that only you can open for them.
- 19:39Janet Perez Eckles: I pray that, in Christ, my precious name is amen.
- 21:22Ron Meyers: I opened up the show with saying that I love power, I love faith, I love to walk out of my house each and every morning knowing that I am okay with God, and I am, and so are you, because if you are a believer in Christ, you are holy, you are blameless, you are righteous, you are totally forgiven and you have a plan and a purpose that will baffle and amaze the world when you do life with Jesus and not a religious Jesus, but a free Jesus, jesus that has given you the freedom so you can become everything you were created to become.
- 21:57Ron Meyers: I went to a prayer meeting the other night and it was an awesome gathering of great believers, but I was in shock when I heard some of the prayers.
- 22:08Ron Meyers: They were begging for God's mercy and forgiveness and I really thought I was listening to Old Testament prayers and I just kept my mouth shut saying Lord, that's okay.
- 22:21Ron Meyers: In your time, you will reveal that you are there with them, you are residing with them and that, if they really understood their identification, that they were righteous, they were holy, they were blameless, that you are living inside of them, that, no matter how many times they pray for you to become closer.
- 22:40Ron Meyers: They're as close to you as you will ever be, and they never need to pray for more and more of the Holy Spirit, because you reside in us.
- 22:48Ron Meyers: We need none of that.
- 22:49Ron Meyers: We have everything.
- 22:51Ron Meyers: The Apostle Paul, his ministry of spreading grace to the Gentiles was all about telling believers that with God's grace, we believers Christians are complete and lack nothing.
- 23:07Ron Meyers: So what's the big problem?
- 23:09Ron Meyers: Well, the problem is we have defeated Christians that leave churches on Sundays wondering what in the heck did I just hear?
- 23:18Ron Meyers: I don't feel better.
- 23:18Ron Meyers: I don't know how I'm going to do life with Jesus this week.
- 23:22Ron Meyers: I don't even know how I'm going to get out of bed in the morning hearing that message.
- 23:26Ron Meyers: Friends, that is not the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 23:29Ron Meyers: That is not the New Covenant.
- 23:31Ron Meyers: That's something you'd hear in the Old Testament.
- 23:35Ron Meyers: It is my humble opinion that until Christians begin to walk with their shoulders strong back, realizing that they are free to be themselves and the power that God has displayed inside of you can move mountains with faith.
- 23:52Ron Meyers: Friends, the world's falling apart, not because evil is so rampant.
- 23:56Ron Meyers: It's because Christians aren't doing anything.
- 23:59Ron Meyers: We all agree.
- 24:00Ron Meyers: We watch the news, we give high fives and say, yeah, we need to have a change in this country.
- 24:03Ron Meyers: No, we need to have a change in the church.
- 24:05Ron Meyers: We need Christians to stand up and be who they were called to be.
- 24:11Ron Meyers: If you walk in your purpose and you walk in your destiny and you do everything that you were created to do here on earth, well then you've accomplished what Jesus set out for you.
- 24:18Ron Meyers: He is the only one that can lead you to where you need to go, and you need to start trusting and obeying the faith level that he is giving you, faith that says, lord, I don't understand all this.
- 24:32Ron Meyers: A lot of this is a mystery, but I am going to walk in your promise today.
- 24:36Ron Meyers: I am free, I am forgiven, I have a plan and I have a purpose.
- 24:40Ron Meyers: So, lord, will you just remind me how much you love me, will you remind me how valuable I am to help the kingdom of heaven advance and friends.
- 24:52Ron Meyers: That's all you do.
- 24:53Ron Meyers: You live life like that, and each and every day is a beautiful, wonderful day.
- 24:58Ron Meyers: Don't live in the future, don't live in the past.
- 24:59Ron Meyers: Live in the present and trust Jesus with all your heart.
- 25:04Ron Meyers: He is the only one that you should be listening to and remember 2,000 years ago, when all the disciples and all the craziness in the gospel was spreading like wildfire.
- 25:18Ron Meyers: They didn't have churches.
- 25:20Ron Meyers: 80% of the people were illiterate.
- 25:23Ron Meyers: They trusted, believed and had faith in who Jesus was, and it radically changed their lives and it changed the world around them.
- 25:34Ron Meyers: France Bible study, more church attendance isn't going to change anything.
- 25:39Ron Meyers: What's going to change this world is Christians walking in their identity and sharing the love, the grace and the mercy of Jesus Christ with a hurting world.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Ron will be back in a moment to wrap up today's conversation.
- 25:56Speaker 4: We want to encourage you today with God's promise to you.
- 26:00Speaker 4: It comes from the book of Jeremiah, chapter 29, verse 11, for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord.
- 26:08Speaker 4: Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.
- 26:12Speaker 4: Plans to give you hope and a future.
- 26:14Speaker 4: That's God's promise to you when you choose to commit your plans and future to Him.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Now back to Ron.
- 26:25Ron Meyers: Well, friends, I wholeheartedly encourage you to begin a dialogue, a conversation with Jesus.
