  Tucker Carlson did the unthinkable yesterday in the video he released comparing

  Donald Trump to the Antichrist.

  I know this is not a new concept of throwing Donald Trump into the mix.

  A lot of people have been thrown into that.

  And I think it's a recurring thing because throughout human history,

  since the time of the apostles,

  there has been figures of a person that looked like the man described in the
• 0:25
  New Testament, a figure that would oppose Jesus Christ,
• 0:29
  put himself in the place of Jesus Christ.

  John the Apostle, it seemed like he made the comparison of Emperor Nero,
• 0:36
  somebody who arises up in that vein, in that spirit.

  And you could see like in the 15th century or the 16th century,
• 0:45
  the reformers, they thought the Pope was the Antichrist. That was who they pinned it on.

  And in the last century, the 20th century, everybody would have thought Hitler was the Antichrist.

  I think it's because since the time of the apostles, there's been a spirit of
• 0:59
  Antichrist that has been prevalent.

  And John the Apostle mentioned that.

  But whenever I'm not friends with somebody, I don't immediately go to them being the Antichrist.

  But Tucker Carlson, it seems like he's making that comparison.

  That's unmistakably Jesus, the Christian Messiah, the man

  god at the center of christianity with his arm around donald

  trump basically saying you go trump i'm on

  your side so all of that in a little over a week what does it mean because it

  certainly means something this isn't so much a couple of memes these are these
• 1:34
  are icons it's iconography these are attempts to send a statement about faith

  what statement is the president sending Well, not a coherent one.

  It doesn't actually add up to a theology.

  It's mockery. He's mocking Jesus. He's making fun of Christianity.

  The central figure of the religion is being held up,
• 1:53
  For mockery, of course. And I

  would have to say Donald Trump has put some crazy memes out there lately.

  And the whole where he would look like Jesus. I mean, when I saw that,

  I immediately said, yeah, he looks like Jesus.

  Donald Trump says he was a doctor. He's changed his wording a couple times.

  I really think that he probably wasn't paying attention and he just put it out
• 2:15
  there. He might have in his mind thought.

  He probably has change of mind all the time in his head and is probably not

  paying too close attention.

  He might have thought he was a doctor. He was just healing somebody and didn't notice.

  Because, I mean, is Donald Trump that familiar with the New Testament,

  with Jesus, how it is portrayed about him?

  It really is. I think everybody jumps on the point that he doesn't know anything about the Bible.

  He's just a Christian in name only. I think Donald Trump cares about legacy.

  He cares about political power.
• 2:45
  He cares about what people think of him. He's not really concerned with Jesus

  necessarily. I don't know his heart, but he probably just threw it out there

  because he pulled it down. He took it down.

  Donald Trump doesn't, he's like removed tweets that he puts out there.

  He doesn't do that all the time.

  For him to recognize that he effed up, which he did, just, I think he probably

  just misstepped right there.

  All right. This next comparison that Tucker puts on here is that he actually
• 3:16
  goes to the Bible and brings up the passage in 2 Thessalonians about the man of lawlessness.

  You're going to hear that Jesus is coming back. Don't believe what you hear.

  A bunch of things have to happen before he returns to earth,
• 3:29
  redeems the world, history ends.
• 3:31
  And you'll know that he's coming by these events. And among them will be the
• 3:34
  rise of a figure he describes as the man of lawlessness, sometimes describes as the antichrist.

  But the man of lawlessness is the phrase from his second letter to the Thessalonians.
• 3:44
  And he says this, there will be a great rebellion against God led by that man of lawlessness.
• 3:48
  This man, quote, will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is
• 3:52
  called God or is worshiped so that he sets himself up in God's temple,
• 3:56
  proclaiming himself to be God. He will pose as God.
• 3:59
  He will mock other gods and put himself in their place.

  That's from the second letter to the Thessalonians. But that's not the first
• 4:06
  place in the Bible, Old and New Testaments, where something like this is described.
• 4:09
  Variations of this are in a number of prophecies in what Christians call the
• 4:12
  Old Testament, including those contained in the book of Daniel.
• 4:16
  The prophet Daniel describes something very much like this at the end of history.
• 4:19
  And he's describing this period, really, as is so often described in the prophets,
• 4:23
  as punishment, punishment for faithlessness and sin. God's people are being
• 4:27
  punished for not following God.
• 4:28
  So making the comparison, I get it. I get it.

  I have my views of who the Antichrist is, but I think throughout history,
• 4:35
  people that are in the church have looked at this and said, who is it?
• 4:39
  Who is it? I don't think we're really gonna just get it right because everybody's gotten it wrong so far.

  And whenever it happens, this person that rises up is going to look so good.
• 4:50
  He's going to look like a man of peace. Everybody loves him.

  And he does amazing things because there's massive deception going on.

  And it is like this recurring thing of just, it's starting up and everything

  builds up to a point and then it just fades and nothing ever,

  nothing really happens. Nothing ever happens.

  Donald Trump, he just, he looks like, obviously, I mean, he's putting pictures
• 5:14
  out of him like he's Jesus.

  But is that like, is that the qualification that it is? Is the Antichrist going
• 5:21
  to come along and say, I'm Jesus?

  Tucker just read the man of lawlessness is going to walk into the temple of God.

  That means there's going to be a temple of God. And you can try to reimagine
• 5:33
  and try to re like interpret that as the temple of God is just in Rome or is just within us.

  You know, it's Paul had in mind the temple was a thing when he was writing that
• 5:45
  the second temple was still constructed. It hadn't been demolished yet.

  So he saw that this man of lawlessness would walk into the physical temple of
• 5:55
  the most high God and desecrate it, set up the abomination of desolation.

  I think we can kind of get what this is going to, where this is going.

  But like, I just see it as that there is this disconnect, this animosity between,

  I would say, within the church, there's false Christians, there's true Christians.

  And a while back, Milo Yiannopoulos, he put out a tweet that I think it just
• 6:21
  got swept under the rug, but it was very like, very prognosticating.

  And it was very aware of the situation. And he was doing it from his advantage as a Roman Catholic.

  But he said, in this world, it is the Roman Catholics and Islam Muslims versus Protestants and Jews.

  And that is a very boiled down synopsis of the situation. And I would just say
• 6:47
  like, I'm not just saying that Protestants got it right or Catholics got it wrong.

  I'm not even necessarily Protestant. I wouldn't claim that. I wouldn't claim I'm a Protestant.

  I believe in Jesus. I believe in what the apostles taught.

  I think there's truth and error in every Christian's viewpoint.

  And these are just artificial edifices that we've constructed to just separate the body of Christ.

  It was happening in the New Testament and it's happening now to a much greater degree.

  But him saying that, Islam and Roman Catholics joining together,

  I do see that because there are Catholics in the church that sympathize extremely
• 7:26
  with Islam, with Muslims.

  And there is a connection that is taking place with them.

  And who do we see at the end of the age that is the ones that are committing
• 7:38
  massive genocide of Christians and people that are followers of the true God?

  It's people that are beheading people which is
• 7:49
  the religion that beheads people it's islam islam
• 7:53
  christians don't behead people jews don't
• 7:56
  behead people it's islam that beheads people so we it's the writings on the

  wall of who what's going to happen in the future and i i just see that it's

  the the apostles and god he calls the people the true people of god to come

  out come out of the whore of Babylon,

  get out of there, come out of the false church.

  I'm not saying the Roman Catholic church is the false church.

  I'm saying that anyone that buys into this ideology at the end of the age that

  embraces this false figure is going to be the false church, whatever it is,

  Christians in name only.

  But it is certainly interesting that the Roman Catholics are identifying so

  much and sympathizing with Islam.

  And I just think that, I'm not saying the Jews got everything correct,
• 8:40
  but there, it's just, it's just, we've, we've really fudged this up throughout
• 8:45
  the years. And it started initially in the first century.

  Christians, they removed, they saw what Jesus, it's primarily Gentiles that
• 8:54
  just misunderstanding Jesus's message,

  misunderstanding Paul's message and what he was saying, because it's this context

  of, it's removing all distinction.

  And it's a distinction missionless theology that sees that Jew and Gentile are exactly the same.

  And that was the message. That is the message that Gentiles ran with because
• 9:15
  they are not interpreting Paul correctly.

  And so they've removed all distinctions. They've made everybody homogenized.

  And now going forward, it's like you're doing it in both ways, in both camps.

  You're running in a direction of saying that Jesus said that all people are one.

  And then on the other side, people are saying that all people are.

  It's just like, we have to get back to this distinction theology,

  that there is a distinction between Jews and Gentiles.

  And I think that's what it really comes down to and what makes us not interpret
• 9:50
  the New Testament correctly.

  We are misunderstanding what the apostles set forward and got us going with,
• 9:57
  because they were combating the
• 9:59
  serious heresy of saying that Jews have an upper hand of getting to God,

  of being in Christ, of inheriting the world to come.

  And this is the way that I just see a lot of people are running with this.

  And it's just reframing everything that we're doing in the body of Christ.

  We're running on ways that maybe God didn't necessarily want us to go about doing this.

  I kind of lost my train of thought, and I just kept going there.

  And you're like, whoa, yeah, I understand.

  But I just think this idea of Donald Trump as the Antichrist,

  it's just he's a person that kind of is emblematic of that.

  He seems like that because, oh, yeah, obviously.

  I have my view of who it is, but it's like I'm probably going to be wrong because

  every Christian throughout history, we always just think we're the ones that
• 10:48
  Jesus is going to come back. I thought that as myself.

  But really, we don't know when Jesus is going to come back.

  But I just see it as, it's just, let's be faithful to the text.

  What is the text in the Bible describe as the outcome of all this?

  I think I'm wearing a good shirt. I'm sorry. I'm sorry because I just lost,

  I wouldn't completely, have you ever get that where you're just like talking

  and then you're realizing that you're talking and then you just got to keep
• 11:12
  talking because you can't acknowledge that you're talking.

  I think that happens to me quite a bit, but I went into that trance and I'm like, all right. Okay.

  Well, I went off the deep in there. And then, yeah, it just feels weird.

  But that's why I wouldn't have it any other way. Because if I was doing this

  and I wasn't live, I would go in and I would edit all this out and just remove it and whatever.

  It's funner to be live in the moment because then you can look at yourself and

  say, wow, you're crazy, man.

  I'm not saying everything is crazy. I have an actual understanding of this.

  But I think sometimes you just get where you're talking.

  And a lot of people don't acknowledge that. And I think maybe you shouldn't. Maybe you shouldn't.

  I've mentioned who I think is going to fit that.

  Dinner of what's going to be taking place there.

  I'm not even going to go down there because I don't really want to mention who I think.

  Again, I don't even want to talk about that. I've said who it is.

  You can go back and find who I think it is and who I think it will be.

  But it might not even be within our generation. It might not even be within

  our lifetimes. It might be somebody way down the road. All right, we'll leave it at that.
