Today we're going to look at shapes you can see in the sky. Luna: In the sky? Like... the moon and clouds? Lucas: Exactly. Lucas: Great. 月亮 means 'moon', and 形 means 'shape'. So 月亮形 is the shape of the moon. Luna: Like a crescent moon or a full moon? Lucas: Right, it can be any moon shape. Now, second shape: 雲形. That's 'cloud shape'. 雲 means 'cloud'. 雲形. Luna: 雲形. Lucas: Perfect. So let's make sentences. 呢個係月亮形. 'This is a moon shape.' Luna: 呢個係月亮形. Lucas: And 呢個係雲形. 'This is a cloud shape.' Luna: 呢個係雲形. Lucas: Excellent. Now let's describe them. 個月亮形好靚. 'The moon shape is beautiful.' 靚 means 'pretty' or 'beautiful'. Luna: 個月亮形好靚. Lucas: And 個雲形好得意. 'The cloud shape is cute.' 得意 means 'cute'. Luna: 個雲形好得意. Oh, I like that one. Lucas: Now imagine you're drawing with a child. You draw a moon and say: 呢個係月亮形. 靚唔靚? Luna: 靚! So I could say: 個月亮形好靚. Lucas: Exactly. Then you draw a cloud: 呢個係雲形. 得意唔得意? Luna: 個雲形好得意! This is fun. Lucas: Let's practice all four phrases. Repeat after me: 月亮形. Luna: 月亮形. Lucas: 雲形. Luna: 雲形. Lucas: 呢個係月亮形. Luna: 呢個係月亮形. Lucas: 呢個係雲形. Luna: 呢個係雲形. Lucas: 個月亮形好靚. Luna: 個月亮形好靚. Lucas: 個雲形好得意. Luna: 個雲形好得意. Lucas: Now, a little challenge: if you see a cloud that looks like a heart, what would you say? Luna: Umm... 呢個雲係心形? Wait, we learned 心形 before. Lucas: Right! You could say 呢個雲係心形. But today's focus is just the shape names. So remember: 月亮形 and 雲形. Luna: Got it. 月亮形, 雲形. Lucas: Great job today.
