- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Red, white, and win is still happening, but you've only got what four days left?
- 0:05SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 0:05SPEAKER_02: And we need to say congratulations to today's winner.
- 0:08SPEAKER_02: Patrika Leary.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: Patrick Leary.
- 0:10SPEAKER_02: Patrick Leary.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: $250.
- 0:13SPEAKER_02: And yeah, you can get$250.
- 0:16SPEAKER_02: Friday is the last day for it.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: Which means you can still get on the app every single day and sign up.
- 0:21SPEAKER_02: I would.
- 0:22SPEAKER_02: Get on the Wink106 app, Twin Tears Magic, or My Radio Jams, and you'll see where it says 250, and then underneath it, red, white, and win.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Nobody's stopping you from entering every day.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: Nobody.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: Real quick here before I give you something.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Will you help me with something?
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: Sure.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: I I'm going to really be honest about something.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: And I haven't shared this with anyone at this point.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: I've been very concerned about the cyclospora outbreak.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: I know that here.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Have you really?
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Because I ate a salad last night for dinner, all willy-nilly.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: I bought a hat of lettuce, and every time I look at it in the fridge, I stop myself.
- 0:57SPEAKER_02: I'm like, come on, don't you want to lose 10 pounds?
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Not that way.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: I just, you know, I mean, uh, because You don't want to do the show with a garbage can underneath your butthole.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: Wouldn't that be a fun sound?
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Um so I've I'm lacking a touch in the vegetable intake, and I freely admit this.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: In fact, today's lunch is a baby cheeseburger and two hot dogs.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: They should mix in something.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: So I grabbed from the fridge a pack.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Uh we got this at Trader Joe's, and I looked at it.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: Oh, well, I think that's fine because it's not Taylor Falls.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Old.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, exactly.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: But I I needed to look at this because, well, this was the last of the packs that I had in the fridge, and I can't find a damn expiration date on it anywhere.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: And you're like a maggot.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Here, wait.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Also, yeah.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: Here you go.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: Does it still look acceptable to make today?
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: Yes, it does.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: Also, um, you know, I'm sure the sales of Taylor Farms have taken a drop, and I've always wondered.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: I don't know, they're all over Sam's Club still.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: I was in there on Sunday and they still have the bags of the uh chopped lettuce, like which I normally buy.
- 2:00SPEAKER_02: That's what I that's what I was kind of curious about because how do they how did how does the store buy the Taylor Farms pre-packaged stuff?
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: Well, I think.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: Like is it weekly, or do they have a contract that they have to fulfill and they just are basically keep putting on the shelves, knowing that less people are picking it up.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: I think that might be it because I did notice that even in the freezer section, they've now moved the toilet paper next to it.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: I'm just kidding, baby.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: By the way, the expiration date on this is July 10th.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: Like I know it's very, very cabbage-y, but I don't I don't like to mess around with no.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: So no, this is a no.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: That's a no.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: Okay, well.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: See, you guys have too much food in your fridge.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: We talked about this earlier in the show.
- 2:40SPEAKER_02: You guys have too much food in your fridge.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: Every time I come over, it's like, who are we feeding?
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: The whole neighborhood?
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: This is how you waste food.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: I hate wasting food.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: So do I, but I I can't question that.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: Like I can I cannot be doubled over.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry, I'm a whimp with that.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: No, I'm not saying you should eat that.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: What I'm saying is is that maybe you guys should buy just for uh food for a couple days.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: I I don't know why you guys buy so much food.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Well, we do stock freezers because that's a smart way to buy things, you know.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: But uh sometimes it does get to be a bit much.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: Speaking of going to the grocery store.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: Because by the way, that's a it's called Dillish Salad.
- 3:17SPEAKER_02: It's a dill pickle salad.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: That would have been so good.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: I ate the other one weeks ago and just sort of forgot about it at that point.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: Anyway, yeah.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: All right, let me let me ask you what you think about this.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Speaking of shopping, there's a woman that explains how there's now pink shopping baskets at now.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: This is happening in Finland.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Okay, but if it's a good enough idea, you know that it'll travel around.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: Uh, and uh it they're doing this in Finland to help people find love.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Listen to this.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: I'm in a grocery store in Finland right now, and I've never seen anything like this.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: Okay, they have these pink baskets, and it's not so special because they're pink, it's because this basket is single.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: So it's a single basket that if you would like to find love at the grocery store, you can walk around with the pink basket, and maybe that's how you find a husband.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: So in Finland, you don't have to, you know, go out to the bar or the club to meet someone.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: You can just use a pink basket at the grocery store.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Isn't that so funny?
- 4:18SPEAKER_02: I love this because I don't want to go to the bar or a club to meet somebody, and we all have to get groceries, so of course we're gonna be there.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: And this reminds me of a 5k idea that I had years ago, which will never come into fruition, but that's okay.
- 4:32SPEAKER_02: But it was where it was, I was gonna do this for Valentine's Day, and it was probably 10 years ago, where one bib would be your taken, one p one bib would be a certain like like it's let's say red means you were taken.
- 4:45SPEAKER_02: So you had a red bib and it was your taken.
- 4:48SPEAKER_02: If you had a green bib, that meant you were single.
- 4:50SPEAKER_02: And if you had a blue green go.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: Yes, right.
- 4:54SPEAKER_02: You had a blue bib, I don't know, maybe not interested or it's complicated.
- 4:58SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 4:59SPEAKER_02: I didn't really think about it.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Swing for the same team?
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm not really sure.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: But anyway, I love this idea because sometimes you want to approach somebody, but that's the scariest part, isn't it?
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: And Scott doesn't even know when anyone's flirting with him when they're flirting with him.
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: So I think that if you're at the grocery store and you both got the baskets and you're like, nice melons.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: Yes, that's the way to do it.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: Okay, so you there was the the old adage years ago that a grocery store was a great place to meet somebody.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: Still is there is a safety safer factor there than there is, say, a bar or you know, just randomly a meetup.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: If you go to Wegmans, you're gonna meet a corning ink guy.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: Oh, if you're at the right Wegmans.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: If you go to tops, then blue-collar America.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: Well, here's the And there's nothing wrong with that.
- 5:47SPEAKER_02: Here's where I'm running into the problem is two things.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: One, I'll start with this.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: I'm walking in, all of a sudden, I just, you know, the the they're out of every other cart, and now I got a pink cart and I'm walking around and you're not single.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: And I nobody even knows.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: I would know you're hitting on me, you know, but I don't care about the fact that it's pink.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: I mean, I can I I I can Right, but you don't want to pick up the pink because you're not single.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, do I have to wait for somebody to bring back the other blue carts, you know, the blue baskets?
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: Or you do how I do, and I just start loading up my arms.
- 6:17SPEAKER_02: This is every time I go into Aldi's.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: I'm just I'm here for two things.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then I load up 22.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: Yes, and then I load up my arms and I'm like, uh, and I'm running, dropping stuff on the way.
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: So yeah, you can't take a ping.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: So now that's a problem.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: But here's the other thing, too.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: Are you really sure you want to advertise single and searching in the sense of you're in a public area?
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: I have to what's the difference between that and online?
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: Well, because you have a little bit more control online.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: I would hate for someone to follow you out of the grocery store and potentially follow you home or do whatever.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: I feel there's a weird safety thing with this.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: I get the cute factor of it.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: I get that, like, you know, oh you know.
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: That you both are actually talking face to face.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: Well, if you've got the guts to do that, I don't know.
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: That's why I got the basket.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: I I air to the side of the safety part that I'm not thrilled about broadcasting it in person.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: When you're on an app, you've got a little bit of a wall between you and that person, and to a point you've got some control.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: You can be like, well, slap and left on that.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: Um, you're in the grocery store, you know, and sometimes think about this.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: And and this isn't even part of the safety thing, which sort of makes me nervous.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: A little, I'm not kidding, makes me a little bit nervous.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: Is the other part to it is let's say, all right, you grab the pink one, you are single, whatever, but you're also in a bit of a rush.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: Please don't follow me throughout the store.
- 7:44SPEAKER_02: That's not when I'm getting I'm not picking up the pink one when I'm in a rush.
- 7:47SPEAKER_02: But you can't.
- 7:47SPEAKER_02: But hold on.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: Aren't they aren't there people you haven't you ever felt like somebody sort of following you through the store?
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: And you know, you kind of get a little bit weirded out by this.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: No.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: I don't give off that vibe, I guess.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: But but I gives off the don't follow me vibe.
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: No, no, I give off the everyone talk to me vibe.
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: Believe me.
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: That's true.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: Go to Wegmans with me.
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: It's terrible.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: Um, but but I think that when you're wanting to be social, and that's the thing, because dating is tough and it can and it can suck.
- 8:18SPEAKER_02: So that way, let's just have it out in the open.
- 8:21SPEAKER_02: Just don't follow me home.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: All right, you guys tell us, hit us up on the app, text us, or call us.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: Uh because I really like this idea.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: I I'm struggling on this one.
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: It's more the safety part of it, more than anything.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: And also the chance that I'm gonna be lucky enough to walk in, and the only basket left on a Friday afternoon is a pink one.
- 8:40SPEAKER_01: Now I'm like, oh, look at this.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: I I don't know.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: What do you guys think?
- 8:43SPEAKER_02: You walk around.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: I'm not single, I promise.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: I'm not left.
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: I just need cucumbers.
