- 3:36in the kitchen with no suspicion of foul play.
- 3:44Now onto sports. Marlins dropped their 12th straight
- 3:49game, creating franchise history, as they eyed
- 3:52the upcoming trade deadline. The struggling Miami
- 3:56Marlins, who recently held Playoff Hopes after
- 3:58a 20 -6 record in June, have sharply declined
- 4:02in July. This losing streak marks the longest
- 4:05in major league baseball this season, matching
- 4:08the New York Mets. Marlins manager Clayton McCullough
- 4:12stated, We're going to meet this head -on, adding
- 4:14that the team must take responsibility for their
- 4:17situation. They recently fell to 52 -54, trailing
- 4:22the Atlanta Braves by 10 .5 games. As they prepare

- 5:08the Athletics, Jack Perkins, in the opening game
- 5:11of a four -game series. The Sox have gone 8 -2
- 5:15over their last ten, so there is real momentum
- 5:18to carry into this matchup. Meanwhile, the Patriots
- 5:22made a blockbuster move today, acquiring star
- 5:25receiver A .G. Brown from Philadelphia. That
- 5:29is a massive signal of intent as they continue
- 5:32their rebuild. Boston also signed rookie witty
- 5:36-out Kobe Prentiss off waivers and placed tight
- 5:39end Julian Hill on injured reserve. Over in basketball,
- 5:44the Celtics locked up young forward Jordan Walsh
- 5:48to a three -year extension worth $16 million
- 5:51with a deal kicking in next season. That keeps
- 5:55a promising piece around Jason Tadam as the team
- 5:58reshapes after their early playoff exit. Summer
- 6:02League standout John Tonge has signed a two -way
- 6:05contract with Portland. In top news, Colorado
- 6:11River reservoirs have reached record lows as
- 6:14the Trump administration threatens major cuts.
- 6:18A worsening water crisis in the western United
- 6:20States has stalled progress, leaving potential
- 6:23solutions dwindling. Lake Med and Lake Powell,
- 6:27the nation's two largest reservoirs, are at their
- 6:30lowest levels on record. Seven states are in
- 6:33disagreement over how to share the rapidly shrinking
- 6:36water supply. Kelly Shannon McNeil of L .A. Waterkeeper
- 6:41stated that lower basin states have reduced their
- 6:44usage by nearly 20 % since 2015. In contrast,
- 6:50upper basin states have increased their usage,
- 6:53citing affordability issues. The Trump administration
- 6:57may impose sweeping cuts after years of failed
- 7:00negotiations. California, Arizona, and Nevada
- 7:05have proposed reducing their usage by about 1
- 7:08,600 ,000 acre -feet per year. However, federal
- 7:13officials are considering cuts nearly double
- 7:16that amount. Such cuts would likely increase
- 7:19costs for cities, impose tighter restrictions
- 7:22on outdoor water, and significantly impact farmers.
- 7:27McNeil urged residents to contact their elected
- 7:29representatives to push for agreements. A warming
- 7:33climate has resulted in diminished snowpack and
- 7:36less snowmelt for the river each spring. If water
- 7:40levels in Lake Powell drop another 33 feet, hydroelectric
- 7:44power generation will cease. With both reservoirs
- 7:48below 30 % capacity, timely decisions are crucial
- 7:51for residents. In business news, Moody's ratings
- 7:57warns that unprecedented artificial intelligence
- 8:00spending is threatening the credit quality of
- 8:02major companies like Amazon, Meta, and Alphabet.

- 8:09surge is forcing even cash -rich corporations
- 8:12to rely heavily on debt and stock sales to fund
- 8:15their artificial intelligence initiatives. Moody
- 8:19states that the transition to asset -heavy models
- 8:22necessitates unprecedented levels of investment
- 8:25in capital raising. Capital expenditures are
- 8:29projected to reach $785 billion in 2026, nearing
- 8:35$1 trillion next year. Despite these risks, companies
- 8:40like Microsoft and Alphabet maintain some of
- 8:43the strongest corporate balance sheets globally.
- 8:46In crypto movement, Bitcoin is down 5 % to about
- 8:51$64 ,000. Ethereum is down 5 % to just under

- 9:58intelligence. The frontier of physical artificial
- 10:02intelligence unfolds in a warehouse in San Leandro,
- 10:05California. This space houses ENCORD, a company
- 10:09developing data tools for training artificial
- 10:12intelligence models. Andrasija, a pilot for the
- 10:15company, is meticulously disassembling a tower
- 10:18while wearing a headset that tracks his brain
- 10:21waves. ENCORD aims to create a brain wavetag
- 10:25data set to enhance robotic training performance.
- 10:29Lucas Gurk, a supervising neuroscientist, notes
- 10:32that brain activity can guide model builders
- 10:35on when to use high -effort models. Vineeth Velmurugan,
- 10:39ENCORD's head of robot learning, emphasizes the
- 10:42importance of generating the necessary training
- 10:45data. And in entertainment news, Netflix is set

- 11:39the quote of the day. And today, our quote comes
- 11:43from the American historian and author, Will
- 11:46Durant. And he said, civilization is not inherited.
- 11:52It has to be learned and earned by each generation
- 11:55anew. If the transmission should be interrupted
- 11:58for one century, civilization would die and we
- 12:01should be savages again. And that's a wrap for
- 12:06this morning. You can check out our Instagram,
