And today's episode is perfect for you — we're covering airport vocabulary. Luna: Oh perfect! I'll need that. So, first word: how do we say 'airport' in Amharic? Lucas: Airport is አውሮፕላን ማረፊያ. Listen again: አውሮፕላን ማረፊያ. Luna: አውሮፕላን ማረፊያ. That's a long one! Let me try: አውሮፕላን ማረፊያ. Lucas: Good! You've got it. Now, once you're at the airport, you'll need to get a ticket. 'I want a ticket' is ቲኬት እፈልጋለሁ. Luna: ቲኬት እፈልጋለሁ. So ticket is 'ቲኬት' and 'I want' is እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: Exactly. And if you've lost your suitcase, you might ask 'Where is my suitcase?' — ሻንጣዬ የት ነው? Luna: ሻንጣዬ የት ነው? Suitcase is ሻንጣ, and my suitcase is ሻንጣዬ. Lucas: Right. And to ask about your flight: 'When is the plane?' is አውሮፕላኑ መቼ ነው? Luna: አውሮፕላኑ መቼ ነው? So plane is አውሮፕላን, and 'when' is መቼ. Lucas: Yes. Let's practice all four in a little scene. Imagine you're at the airport in Addis Ababa. Luna: Okay, I'll be me. I walk up to a counter and say: ቲኬት እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: Great! Then the agent gives you a ticket. You go to check your suitcase but you can't find it, so you ask: ሻንጣዬ የት ነው? Luna: Oh no! ሻንጣዬ የት ነው? They point you to it. Then you want to know departure time: አውሮፕላኑ መቼ ነው? Lucas: Perfect! And they tell you the time. You're all set. Let's say them one more time: አውሮፕላን ማረፊያ. Luna: አውሮፕላን ማረፊያ. Lucas: ቲኬት እፈልጋለሁ. Luna: ቲኬት እፈልጋለሁ. Lucas: ሻንጣዬ የት ነው? Luna: ሻንጣዬ የት ነው? Lucas: አውሮፕላኑ መቼ ነው? Luna: አውሮፕላኑ መቼ ነው?
