- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous podcast. I am
- 0:09Speaker 2: so excited because I have a bachelor.
- 0:11Speaker 3: And I shouldn't.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Success story with us and one that was recently married
- 0:15Speaker 2: Katie zach welcome to the podcast.
- 0:18Speaker 4: Thanks for having me. Of course, I'm not wearing my
- 0:21Speaker 4: ring of all days, no way.
- 0:24Speaker 2: So you're a girl, it takes off your ring. I
- 0:26Speaker 2: do never take it off. So you take it off
- 0:28Speaker 2: to sleep and shower and stuff?
- 0:30Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, why, I just I can't sleep with it
- 0:34Speaker 5: gets caught on my pillow.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Because it's so big.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Shout out to Neil Lane.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Shout out to Neil Lane.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:43Speaker 5: Well, actually Zachary proposed to me and he got me
- 0:46Speaker 5: a new ring. So we still have the Neil Lane ring,
- 0:49Speaker 5: but now I have two beautiful engagement rings.
- 0:53Speaker 6: Matthew, girl, I am.
- 0:54Speaker 4: What can I say?
- 0:57Speaker 2: That is quite nice?
- 0:58Speaker 3: So, Zachy, you take off your ring?
- 1:00Speaker 6: I do.
- 1:01Speaker 7: My rink is a little loose, but I've got like
- 1:04Speaker 7: one of those like what do you call it rubber rings?
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:07Speaker 6: Yeah, and I don't it feels like tight when you sleep.
- 1:10Speaker 7: I don't know, but I have heard of people that
- 1:13Speaker 7: are like very much, so like you either one hundred
- 1:15Speaker 7: percent wear it and they never take it off, and
- 1:17Speaker 7: then the other side are like, goosey, goosey whatever.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Jared and I are very much We keep it on
- 1:23Speaker 2: at all times. He kind of wants the rubber one
- 1:25Speaker 2: for the gym and I'm like, babe, you will.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Lose your ring. I know you will, so yeah, but.
- 1:32Speaker 5: It'll get scuffed up so much more like if he's
- 1:34Speaker 5: lifted heavy weights and I know, oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I think this.
- 1:40Speaker 2: I think the scuff is kind of sexy, you know,
- 1:42Speaker 2: on the ring. It's like I wear this ring so
- 1:44Speaker 2: much that like it's just it's we've been married for
- 1:48Speaker 2: so long it has dense. Yeah, that's cute.
- 1:53Speaker 6: Though.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I'm glad that. I'm so glad that you guys had
- 1:56Speaker 2: your big wedding celebration over that. It has been not
- 2:00Speaker 2: been a month yet, right.
- 2:01Speaker 4: Like three weeks. Three weeks ago it was yeah, yeah,
- 2:04Speaker 4: and it was perfect.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Yeah truly.
- 2:05Speaker 2: So tell me about the decision to do the small
- 2:09Speaker 2: intimate wedding about six months ago and then to do
- 2:13Speaker 2: the party wedding and have them separate like this.
- 2:18Speaker 4: I think so I'm just going to give you some background.
- 2:21Speaker 4: So Zach and I were originally we were going to
- 2:22Speaker 4: get married.
- 2:23Speaker 5: In a courthouse, and we just wanted it to be us.
- 2:25Speaker 5: We wanted it intimate. We didn't need the big, lavish wedding.
- 2:30Speaker 5: I think some some girls, I always say this, I
- 2:32Speaker 5: feel like some girls like they dream of the big wedding,
- 2:35Speaker 5: their dress, all that, but like for me, I feel
- 2:38Speaker 5: like buying a house, building a home, decorated it. That's
- 2:41Speaker 5: like my super Bowl. Yeah, so I wasn't. I didn't
- 2:46Speaker 5: really see a big wedding in the future for me.
- 2:49Speaker 5: But anyways, it it was still like so beautiful. We
- 2:52Speaker 5: just wanted to focus on our love we had. Well,
- 2:55Speaker 5: when ABC got involved, we're like, okay, maybe we should
- 2:57Speaker 5: step up our game a little bit.
- 2:59Speaker 4: So we ended up finding a chapel.
- 3:02Speaker 5: In Austin and it was so beautiful, like it all
- 3:06Speaker 5: worked out that's the way that it needed to be.
- 3:09Speaker 5: And then we knew, yeah, we knew eventually that we
- 3:11Speaker 5: wanted to celebrate with everybody, but like I just got
- 3:14Speaker 5: done planning the wedding ceremony and then I was like,
- 3:18Speaker 5: oh my god, Like I can't even like think of
- 3:20Speaker 5: planning another thing right now. So I just needed some
- 3:22Speaker 5: time to to just like decompress and then plan it.
- 3:25Speaker 5: But I think it worked out. It was kind of
- 3:27Speaker 5: like a two part deconstructed wedding and it was beautiful.
- 3:30Speaker 5: It was everything that we wanted.
- 3:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 3:32Speaker 7: Yeah, it was like blending the worlds together of Canada, California, Bachelor,
- 3:36Speaker 7: my Austin friends. It just it was the perfect timing.
- 3:40Speaker 7: We needed it because we had like our wedding and
- 3:43Speaker 7: then we got to celebrate with everybody and just party
- 3:46Speaker 7: our faces out.
- 3:47Speaker 4: It was so cool.
- 3:48Speaker 2: It's also kind of nice because you have your wedding
- 3:50Speaker 2: and then you're not done yet. You still have more
- 3:53Speaker 2: wedding to look forward to. It's not just done in
- 3:56Speaker 2: one day. Because that's the worst part about the wedding
- 3:58Speaker 2: is when you wake up that morning, you're like, at
- 4:00Speaker 2: the end of this day, all that money and all
- 4:03Speaker 2: of this, like the the be the fact that like
- 4:09Speaker 2: your friends and your family are all together in one
- 4:11Speaker 2: room and you're never going to have that again. You guys,
- 4:15Speaker 2: you didn't have that twice, but you did have something
- 4:19Speaker 2: very family oriented and yeah, full of love still to
- 4:23Speaker 2: look forward to exactly.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Yeah, it was perfect.
- 4:26Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Okay, So of all the Bachelor Nation members there, and
- 4:29Speaker 2: there were a number of them, who was the biggest
- 4:32Speaker 2: party animal.
- 4:35Speaker 6: That's a good question.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Just honestly, I think everybody was just having the time
- 4:43Speaker 4: of their lives.
- 4:44Speaker 5: I don't know if there was like one person that
- 4:46Speaker 5: just got like extra silly.
- 4:48Speaker 7: I'll say one person that like everyone loved talking to
- 4:52Speaker 7: and like meeting and stuff was Dotton. Oh yeah, everyone
- 4:55Speaker 7: loved hanging with Dot and talking with Dotton because he's
- 4:59Speaker 7: such like he's the kindest guy ever. But he's very intentional.
- 5:03Speaker 7: He's like full of wisdom. Every time you talk to me,
- 5:05Speaker 7: you're like, oh, I'm learning something when I talk to you.
- 5:08Speaker 2: He doesn't even have to open his mouth to feel like.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I saw him on bachelore and before he even spoke,
- 5:13Speaker 2: I was like, that man is so wise.
- 5:16Speaker 5: He's just got so much death to him. It's not
- 5:18Speaker 5: just like a surface level conversation. Like he's just so
- 5:22Speaker 5: sweet and like he said, intentional with everything everything.
- 5:25Speaker 6: I mean, ants and my parents.
- 5:27Speaker 7: Were like, you know that done guys probably one of
- 5:29Speaker 7: the coolest guys I've met.
- 5:30Speaker 8: I'm like, yeah, yeah, that is so sweet.
- 5:34Speaker 3: That's a good answer.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I'd rather hear who's who's the most magnetic, then who's
- 5:39Speaker 2: the biggest party animal? But if you do think about
- 5:42Speaker 2: who was wild, just let me know because normally Ben,
- 5:45Speaker 2: who's sadly not here today, he is the biggest party
- 5:48Speaker 2: animal at all of our bachelor weddings I've seen.
- 5:51Speaker 3: He has the higgy dance.
- 5:52Speaker 2: You know, everybody and nobody'll forget it once they see it.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Oh he looks like the thing side of car dealerships. Oh,
- 6:02Speaker 2: the balloon guy, the dancing airman.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so funny.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Speaking of Charity and Donn, what Bachelor Nation couple do
- 6:12Speaker 2: you think will be the next to get married Charity
- 6:14Speaker 2: and Done?
- 6:15Speaker 8: Yeah, I agree thousand So you think like next year, yeah,
- 6:20Speaker 8: twenty six.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Yeah, and I think Joe and Kelsey will be after
- 6:23Speaker 5: them twenty seven.
- 6:25Speaker 6: I could see that.
- 6:25Speaker 9: Guys, we're on a roll. Yeah, we've got marriage back.
- 6:30Speaker 9: That's right, that's so funny.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Yeah, three in a row two is like crazy.
- 6:39Speaker 5: So it's not even like, okay, we've brought marriage back,
- 6:42Speaker 5: but like three in a row is crazy.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Yes, So I don't foresee any breakups in that crew.
- 6:48Speaker 2: And then we have Alex and Andrew and then Jess
- 6:51Speaker 2: and Spencer. Of the two of them, which one gets
- 6:54Speaker 2: married first?
- 6:55Speaker 4: Alex and Andrew and Spence Us Spence and Jessy Spencer.
- 7:00Speaker 4: He met them.
- 7:00Speaker 5: Uh, they came down to Austin for a c L
- 7:04Speaker 5: and they have so much chemistry.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Oh yeah, like they are two pie's in a pod.
- 7:10Speaker 7: That was the first time I've ever met both of them,
- 7:12Speaker 7: and immediately I was like, these guys, yeah absolutely.
- 7:15Speaker 4: An't really like Spence.
- 7:16Speaker 5: I feel like Zach doesn't like it takes a little
- 7:19Speaker 5: bit for you to like warm up to like new people. Spence,
- 7:22Speaker 5: you were just like, this guy is such a good guy.
- 7:25Speaker 5: You you really And Jess is amazing too, so sweet, grounded,
- 7:30Speaker 5: She's funny.
- 7:31Speaker 6: They're the like Southern accident coming out here and there.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Yeah, no, they're They're great.
- 7:36Speaker 5: And I've met Andrew Separley and I he's so funny.
- 7:41Speaker 5: I feel like him, Justin and Greg are just like
- 7:44Speaker 5: just a funny.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Group of guys. But the TikTok trio, Yeah, trio is great.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 2: They bring save really fade successes of themselves as a
- 7:54Speaker 2: front grip. It's pretty awesome. So you guys, do you
- 7:59Speaker 2: find that any anything has changed since you got married.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I never personally found that.
- 8:08Speaker 4: I feel like we get that question a lot. It's like, oh,
- 8:11Speaker 4: like like a different being married.
- 8:14Speaker 5: It's like, no, you just have rings on our hand
- 8:16Speaker 5: and we continue to grow and foster a relationship and
- 8:18Speaker 5: more and more in love with each other every day.
- 8:20Speaker 4: And I know that's super cliche to say, but it's true.
- 8:23Speaker 7: Like we're I was gonna say that. The thing that
- 8:26Speaker 7: changes is like, Okay, we've finally got married. It's what
- 8:28Speaker 7: we've been waiting for. Now it's like, Okay, what's next,
- 8:30Speaker 7: buying a house, Okay, what's next?
- 8:32Speaker 6: Family?
- 8:33Speaker 7: Like, that's the stuff that's like, Okay, now things are
- 8:35Speaker 7: moving along. But like between us, no, it doesn't feel
- 8:38Speaker 7: like a different light.
- 8:39Speaker 4: Turned off or something.
- 8:40Speaker 5: But I will say, when you see your I don't
- 8:43Speaker 5: know if you felt this actually, but when you see
- 8:45Speaker 5: your husband for the first time with a wedding ring on,
- 8:47Speaker 5: I'm like.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Oh, it's the hottest thing ever.
- 8:48Speaker 4: It's the hottest thing ever.
- 8:51Speaker 3: I did it. Yeah, I did it. That's mine.
- 8:55Speaker 4: I know.
- 8:55Speaker 5: It's just so hotblute limited to a woman.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yes, even when I see guy friends go from you know,
- 9:05Speaker 2: dating my friend to being married to my friend and
- 9:08Speaker 2: having the ring on.
- 9:08Speaker 3: It, I was like, Wow, you just like elevated yourself.
- 9:13Speaker 6: I had no idea.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I find it the most.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Attract they ever absolutely kids were.
- 9:20Speaker 2: I think that that is the point that you feel
- 9:22Speaker 2: like your marriage has changed. I feel like that's truly,
- 9:25Speaker 2: that is when it gets a little bit less, like, hey,
- 9:27Speaker 2: everything is so fun and like.
- 9:31Speaker 6: Huge responsibility I imagine, right.
- 9:34Speaker 3: And I know, but yeah, yeah, it's exciting.
- 9:37Speaker 5: We are so excited for that phase in our life.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Not to just like spill out a bunch of different maasion,
- 9:43Speaker 4: but we're hoping to like start trying. I would say,
- 9:45Speaker 4: like in yeah, this summer summer, every time baby, I
- 9:51Speaker 4: text Doc and I'm.
- 9:52Speaker 6: Like, all right, that's make a baby tonight.
- 9:54Speaker 8: Baby.
- 9:58Speaker 2: We start trying a year and a half after we
- 10:00Speaker 2: were married. I think it's good timing.
- 10:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I think just like really like just diving in
- 10:05Speaker 5: and enjoying married life newly Woods.
- 10:08Speaker 4: We still haven't even gone on a honeymoon yet.
- 10:10Speaker 5: We're starting the green card process this month, so I
- 10:12Speaker 5: actually can't leave the country, and we were planning to
- 10:14Speaker 5: go to Italy for our honeymoon, but things have changed
- 10:17Speaker 5: and hopefully that we will eventually do that, but I
- 10:20Speaker 5: think we're just going to take some like small trips
- 10:23Speaker 5: throughout the US and just kind of take a minute
- 10:26Speaker 5: and just really enjoy this because everything's been like going
- 10:29Speaker 5: so fast, and it's just like we have not had
- 10:31Speaker 5: a moment to just like celebrate our love, which is
- 10:34Speaker 5: crazy because he works full time and you know, it's
- 10:37Speaker 5: just been been busy.
- 10:38Speaker 8: So you guys, you are just like the perfect You
- 10:44Speaker 8: are honestly a couple that you would see in the
- 10:48Speaker 8: frames at Home Goods.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Traditionally perfect and on a path.
- 10:56Speaker 3: And it's very sweet. We know we love I love it.
- 10:59Speaker 3: I love it.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Oh, what's up with the Austome Butler thing, because you
- 11:12Speaker 2: guys are both with Austin Butler.
- 11:13Speaker 6: Best friend Austin Butler.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it's talking friendly and not just like a celebrity encounter.
- 11:20Speaker 8: No.
- 11:21Speaker 7: Yeah, I was trying to keep it quiet for a while,
- 11:22Speaker 7: but Austin and I have we're kind of best friends.
- 11:26Speaker 2: See I'm not really man sure if he's joking like
- 11:28Speaker 2: you guys may have actually been friends.
- 11:30Speaker 7: No, no, no, no, So we we met him through a
- 11:34Speaker 7: like a premiere for his movie Caught Stealing That Darren,
- 11:37Speaker 7: Are I'm gonna butcher his last name Arensky. So we
- 11:42Speaker 7: were they were intant promotion in Austin and we just
- 11:47Speaker 7: met him. We had an opportunity to do like a
- 11:48Speaker 7: little cocktail hang out with him thing, and we're actually
- 11:52Speaker 7: from the same city and we grew up probably a
- 11:55Speaker 7: couple roads from each other, so we knew all the
- 11:58Speaker 7: same people, same places, and so we just kind of clicked.
- 12:00Speaker 7: And he, interestingly enough, was like really intrigued by The Bachelor.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Yes, very intrigued by our story.
- 12:06Speaker 7: We didn't even get to like ask him or anything
- 12:08Speaker 7: like questions. He was just so locked into like, oh
- 12:11Speaker 7: my god, you guys are from the show and it worked.
- 12:13Speaker 4: And he goes, you guys give me faith again.
- 12:16Speaker 6: Yeah. I was like, and I'm like maybe.
- 12:22Speaker 4: He said, hope, you guys give.
- 12:23Speaker 6: Me hope hope. Yeah. Yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 4: I was like, heyby boy, you are not going to
- 12:28Speaker 4: have any Yeah.
- 12:30Speaker 2: He's like on dates with you know, Emily Radakowski and stuff.
- 12:33Speaker 4: He's doing good.
- 12:35Speaker 6: He's fine.
- 12:38Speaker 5: He is actually genuinely such a sweet guy, like you
- 12:40Speaker 5: can tell, like just like his aura is just like
- 12:43Speaker 5: very sweet, grounded guy.
- 12:45Speaker 6: And and obviously he's just gorgeous.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel exactly.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I mean I wasn't sure who to ask about his
- 12:52Speaker 2: attractive levels, because I was like, is.
- 12:54Speaker 3: It wrong if I asked Katie? Is it funny if
- 12:56Speaker 3: I Yeah, you.
- 12:57Speaker 7: Can recognize beauty, anyone can't. That guy's beautiful.
- 13:00Speaker 6: Man.
- 13:00Speaker 4: He is a very good liking Yeah, yeah, you're a
- 13:04Speaker 4: better looking Okay.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Did he have the Elvis voice?
- 13:09Speaker 2: No, a little bit, it's gone.
- 13:12Speaker 7: I mean I think it's just like a dark or
- 13:14Speaker 7: a deep soul try voice.
- 13:16Speaker 6: Hey, I'm from Anaheim too, and that's how we talk.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Now.
- 13:19Speaker 6: Oh my god, you're so cool.
- 13:22Speaker 3: I love that so much.
- 13:27Speaker 2: This is your first holiday season as a married couple.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Do you have any traditions? Do you have any plans
- 13:33Speaker 2: you're excited about that you want to share?
- 13:36Speaker 4: This Christmas actually kind of chill.
- 13:37Speaker 5: I actually have to work at the hospital on Christmas Day, so.
- 13:42Speaker 4: I'll be doing that.
- 13:42Speaker 5: But we are going to come back to California and
- 13:45Speaker 5: spend an early Christmas with his family in Anaheim.
- 13:48Speaker 4: So that's going to be nice.
- 13:50Speaker 5: We're going to just like have like an early Christmas,
- 13:52Speaker 5: open up presence and yeah, I think we're actually going
- 13:55Speaker 5: to bring our dog. Yeah, it's going to be her
- 13:57Speaker 5: first flight.
- 13:58Speaker 2: So is this sweet part of marriage where you just
- 14:02Speaker 2: like your dog goes on planes with you and just
- 14:05Speaker 2: you smother it with love. And I just feel like
- 14:09Speaker 2: my poor doggie, like she just doesn't get what she's
- 14:12Speaker 2: She still live a totally different life.
- 14:13Speaker 3: She used to go coast to coast all the time.
- 14:16Speaker 2: She was welcome everywhere, and now it's like, hey, Lois, sorry,
- 14:20Speaker 2: I haven't touched you in like six hours. Love you
- 14:21Speaker 2: by Lois Lois Lane. Because family guy works too, so
- 14:33Speaker 2: you Jared Jared has he had a Clark before Lois,
- 14:36Speaker 2: and Clark still lived with his parents. He's like right
- 14:39Speaker 2: under my feet right now.
- 14:42Speaker 7: Yeah, mellow, mellow Christmas, and yeah, any tips are flying
- 14:48Speaker 7: with the puppy we've never done.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Every airline is different.
- 14:53Speaker 2: You know, the whole seat in front of you, you
- 14:55Speaker 2: have to like, you know, fully put to the case
- 14:57Speaker 2: under the seat in frontment.
- 14:58Speaker 3: How big is the dog?
- 15:00Speaker 6: Fifteen pounds?
- 15:01Speaker 3: Okay, So this is my advice to you.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Even though Lois has always been like around the twenty
- 15:07Speaker 2: pound maximum, they freak out if she's really fluffy because
- 15:12Speaker 2: they're like, she can't fit in there. I'm like, no,
- 15:14Speaker 2: I swear to you, this is four inches of hair.
- 15:18Speaker 2: So if you have a fresh trim maybe.
- 15:21Speaker 4: Okay, okay, I need to know.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know if you need to stick her
- 15:27Speaker 2: head out or whatnot out during takeoff.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't blanket. Bring blanket.
- 15:33Speaker 5: I'm gonna bring a blanket. I'm gonna hide her under there.
- 15:36Speaker 5: It's gonna look like her there for.
- 15:38Speaker 6: So many she's my baby exactly.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Yes, enjoy your time with baby, but donkey being baby.
- 15:44Speaker 3: It's so sweet.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Thank you all for joining us. I have a great
- 15:48Speaker 2: time tonight. Enjoy the little mini trip and Merry Christmas.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Thank you, Merry Christmas.
