Latest / The Fourcast / Omid Djalili: the Iranian regime is ‘a cancer’ that needs ‘cutting out’
Transcript
- 0:00What do you do with this regime that doesn't mind being killed
- 0:03because they think the more we get killed, the more we get some
- 0:06kind of sympathy in the West and there's more chance of us
- 0:09staying in power? So are you left as somebody who
- 0:12who is anti war, wanting this war to continue until it
- 0:16achieves the end of the regime? Yes, if it meant getting rid of
- 0:21them, the people of Iran, not me, the people of Iran saying
- 0:24it's a cancer. And if, if it's painful, we've
- 0:27got to go through it. We're prepared to go through it.
- 0:33Hello and welcome to the forecast.
- 0:34I'm Krishna Guru Murphy in Jerusalem As we approach two
- 0:38weeks into this war, we wanted to talk to a prominent voice in
- 0:43Britain. And Ahmed Jalili is a British
- 0:45Iranian comedian, writer and cultural commentator.
- 0:48He's been very outspoken throughout the protest movements
- 0:52in Iran and since the war broke out.
- 0:55Ahmed, welcome. How are you feeling about where
- 0:58things are now? Well, look, at the end of the
- 1:01day, the whole reason I even did interviews in the 1st place, we
- 1:05were trying to keep this whole issue on a humanitarian issue.
- 1:09If you remember, we were always talking about responsibility to
- 1:13protect the UN norm. In 2005, when a country is
- 1:17exterminating its own people, the world has to stand up and
- 1:21you, you use diplomacy first. And if that doesn't work,
- 1:25there's some kind of intervention to stop the
- 1:27machinery of repression. We saw the massacres of January.
- 1:32In fact, I was very traumatized because we'd heard at the time
- 1:35it was like it was being reported as 3000 people, 12,000
- 1:38people. We don't even know because the
- 1:40Internet was shut. Whatever the numbers, it's, it's
- 1:42horrific. And now we see that this
- 1:44particular conflict, which we thought was a rescue mission, is
- 1:48now being politicized, is now being seen as something that is
- 1:52left versus right that, you know, it's, it's Trump is crazy,
- 1:56Israeli crazy. And the people who are losing
- 1:58out here are the people of Iran. And I will tell you this, it was
- 2:02profoundly moving to see nothing to do with any politics or
- 2:06anything. The Iranian women's National
- 2:09Football team arriving from the Gold Coast in Sydney and there's
- 2:12150 Iranians there trying to make an intervention to try and
- 2:17stop them from going home. And so five of them were given
- 2:19immediate, they were given asylum, two more than joined and
- 2:23the rest got on the plane. It just shows you that this
- 2:26conflict is real, this, this problem with this regime.
- 2:30We are not lying when we're telling you they are.
- 2:32Absolutely genocidal, tyrannical, whatever word you
- 2:36want to use, the the the stuff they have done is beyond even
- 2:41any decent normal person could think of.
- 2:43So in that sense, it's good to talk to you because it's always
- 2:47about bringing it back to that humanitarian level and reminding
- 2:50people of that. I mean, just remind us what what
- 2:52is your Persian heritage? What are your links to people in
- 2:57Iran now? Yeah, we've got almost nothing
- 3:00because the Internet is still shut.
- 3:02I was born and raised in Britain, but my parents would go
- 3:04back to, we'd go back to Iran. I've been back twice when I was
- 3:08when I was younger. I'm now involved and people, you
- 3:12know, look to me. And I should tell you,
- 3:13Christian, when we talk right now, it's not even me giving you
- 3:16my opinions. My opinions don't matter at all
- 3:20because the internet's been shut.
- 3:22All we are doing is try and amplify some of the voices from
- 3:26inside Iran who have been cut off by the Internet and just try
- 3:29and say a few things about what what some of the narratives they
- 3:32want out there. And.
- 3:33What contact do you and your network have?
- 3:35I mean, as you say, the Internet is largely shut off for most
- 3:38people, except those voices the regime wants to allow to speak.
- 3:45And they tend to be supportive voices.
- 3:47But we understand some people are getting through on the
- 3:49phone. I mean, have you, have you been
- 3:51able to speak to anyone? No.
- 3:52I've not been able to speak to anyone.
- 3:53If if you try, it's very sporadic, you're on for about 3
- 3:55seconds, it's gone. So it's mainly, it's mainly
- 3:57through the few people can get VPN.
- 4:01When the Starlink satellite, the Elon Musk Starlink satellite
- 4:03works, we can get a little bit of connectivity.
- 4:06Messages are coming through which are which are very, very
- 4:09strong. I have to tell you.
- 4:10I mean, I can read you one of the messages here, which I
- 4:13actually tweeted yesterday, which is very, very
- 4:15representative of what the people of Iran feel.
- 4:18It's kind of shocking because I, I'm not pro war at all.
- 4:22I, you know, I did a whole documentary called We are Many
- 4:25about the February 15th, 2003 anti war demonstrations after
- 4:31the British invasion, an American invasion of, of Iraq.
- 4:34And so I'm very anti war. But I'm quite surprised when you
- 4:38see these videos that the Iranians cheering when things
- 4:41are getting bombed and you think, well, how do they
- 4:43reconcile that? What do they think?
- 4:45And, and this, this is the kind of thing that people are saying,
- 4:47which I, I think people should be really aware of.
- 4:50Those of us inside the cage know that cutting out a cancer is
- 4:55going to hurt. We are willing to take that pain
- 4:59because it is better to die once than to be tortured every single
- 5:03day. If this war stops, which is very
- 5:06interesting, and the regime survives, we are all dead anyway
- 5:10and our execution dates just get moved up.
- 5:14That's just a snippet of the kind of messages I'm getting all
- 5:18the time on, on Telegram, messages on my Twitter, on my
- 5:22Instagram. This is really important that
- 5:25when we think about this conflict, we're trying to remind
- 5:28people that in when we had the Bosnia conflict in the 1990s,
- 5:32there was a NATO unilateral, you know, intervention there to stop
- 5:37it and to bring peace to the region between the Bosniaks, the
- 5:40Serbs and the Croats. And that was seen as a very,
- 5:43very positive thing. It gave a lot of credit to all
- 5:45the the leaders who were involved in that.
- 5:48Now, there is a problem people have with, you know, so-called
- 5:53Western imperialism, you know, but are we really going to see
- 5:56like Finland and Jamaica stand up and lead some kind of
- 6:01intervention to save the people of Iran?
- 6:04It just so happens to be two countries and a third regarding
- 6:07Britain, who do have existential threats.
- 6:10When you see in the Iranian government, who are they singing
- 6:13death to? Is death to America, death to
- 6:15Israel and Magbar Inglis death, that's actually means death to
- 6:20England, but they call England the UK, Magbar Inglis.
- 6:23So we are the people that they want to kill and also they want
- 6:28to kill their own people. I mean, even now we're seeing
- 6:31people literally by their balconies screaming, screaming,
- 6:35you know, you know, anti regime slogans.
- 6:37They're getting shot at with military grade weapons.
- 6:40So this is, these are the messages we we feel are more
- 6:44important than, you know, Israel is wrong and Donald Trump's a
- 6:48madman. I mean, the, the question and
- 6:50what's being argued about at the moment is what the balance is
- 6:54of, of people who think either thing.
- 6:57I mean, you know, the, the regime supporters in Iran say
- 7:01the people who you're quoting are a tiny minority.
- 7:05You know, yes, there are people who were upset and angry and
- 7:07want to get rid of the regime, but they're a small group of
- 7:10people. And obviously the people on your
- 7:12side say no, we are the majority.
- 7:14And it's very, very difficult because we're not there and
- 7:17we're not allowed in to, to really get a, a sense of where
- 7:22public opinion is now. I mean, what makes you sure that
- 7:26you speak for the majority? I don't speak for anyone.
- 7:31I'm just speaking for the people that I've seen.
- 7:32But you know, if you listen to the Islamic regime, all American
- 7:36Navy has been sunk. The Air Force has been shot out
- 7:40the sky. Tel Aviv and Haifa are a barren
- 7:43wasteland that that is their regime.
- 7:46And we've seen them lie about things with they have history
- 7:48with this. They have lied so much.
- 7:50And we're seeing it literally on.
- 7:51I'm tweeting it go on my Twitter feed and and I'm tweeting it as
- 7:55a comedy thing because they say yes, we've we've hit the USS
- 7:59Abraham Lincoln and then Muller goes everyone together mad bad
- 8:02Omnica and then other people just go mad bad.
- 8:05It fizzles before it even starts.
- 8:07And AI videos of. Crowds, Yeah, yeah, Also AI
- 8:10videos of crowds. All this stuff that we see is,
- 8:14is, is complete and utter, very easily, you know, understood
- 8:18lies. So as far as Iranians are
- 8:20concerned, we don't believe anything they say.
- 8:23And when the people of Iran are saying we are the majority,
- 8:26that's what we believe. Now I.
- 8:28Mean you talked about sort of a rescue mission it, it is looking
- 8:31like anything but because at the moment the regime is in place,
- 8:37they've replaced, you know, 1 Ayatollah with a, with a NEPA
- 8:41baby Ayatollah and you know, that's a very deliberate message
- 8:46they have sent. I mean, is your fear that the
- 8:52people are being abandoned for geopolitical interests and
- 8:56economic interests? I don't know who's being
- 8:58abandoned or not, but but even it was so funny that this, this,
- 9:01this Congress of experts who got together and they unanimously
- 9:04voted Mustaba Harmony as the new supreme leader, having known
- 9:09that he was very badly injured. And there are rumours that he's
- 9:11in hospital, he's lost a leg and he's not even aware that he's
- 9:14the new supreme leader. And they're saying, good, let
- 9:16him stay there because while he while he's a supreme leader, we
- 9:20can still stay alive. I mean, in, in one sense it, you
- 9:23know, if this wasn't so sad, it would be funny.
- 9:26But I am sad for the people of Iran because even if the IRGC
- 9:31being killed and also we don't know when, when they give out
- 9:33numbers of people being killed, to me, it doesn't matter if
- 9:36it's, you know, majority IRGC, these are still human beings.
- 9:40They're still compatriots. They're still people who could
- 9:43be playing a role in a future Iran.
- 9:46And and I think it's an absolute tragedy that people are being
- 9:49killed. I've always been anti war.
- 9:50I can't stand war. I think it's a terrible thing.
- 9:53And the fog of war means we don't even know what's going on.
- 9:56But people are being killed. There are civilian casualties as
- 10:00well and deaths. How many we don't know.
- 10:03But as I just read to you now, this is this cancer they're
- 10:07trying to Lance. It's it's not just a boil.
- 10:10It's like a mafia cartel. It's many, many different
- 10:13levels. And if, if the way to get rid of
- 10:16them is take out the first first, I don't want to sound
- 10:19like a war monger, but this is on the Islamic regime.
- 10:22Everyone's saying, oh, this is all America and Israel.
- 10:24But these people are they, they actually glorify death, that
- 10:29they love death. That's the thing that it's all
- 10:31about martyrdom. It's all about dying, so it
- 10:34doesn't matter if you're a martyr, you're getting close to
- 10:36God. So that whole mentality means
- 10:39you can kill us. You can kill the third rung of
- 10:42military command. After that, kill the 4th rung we
- 10:45were joking about. Right now, the Islamic regime
- 10:48leadership is basically 3 Mossad agents who don't even know about
- 10:51each other. I mean, it shouldn't really be
- 10:53joking about it, but that is the situation right now.
- 10:57And what do you do about that? What do you do with this regime
- 11:00that that doesn't mind being killed?
- 11:02Because they think the more we get killed, the more we get some
- 11:05kind of sympathy in the West and more there's more chance of us
- 11:09staying in power. But so so are you left as
- 11:11somebody who who is anti war and feels for all victims of war,
- 11:18wanting this war to continue until it achieves the end of the
- 11:23regime. If someone told me during World
- 11:25War 2 about, and I don't think many people actually knew what
- 11:29Adolf Hitler was capable of, but if that was something I knew
- 11:34that would remove Hitler and the Nazis eventually.
- 11:38Because you know, you can't, you can't discuss things with these
- 11:41people. We talk about sanctions with
- 11:44Iran and I've always said giving them sanctions, you're expecting
- 11:48behavioural change and they haven't changed for 47 years.
- 11:52It would be like being attacked by a bunch of zombies and asking
- 11:56them politely to consider a vegan diet.
- 11:59This is a group of people who will not change.
- 12:02But so if to ask your question, yes, if it meant getting rid of
- 12:07them, the people of Iran, not me, the people of Iran saying
- 12:11this is a it's a cancer. And if if it's painful and we've
- 12:14got to go through it, we're prepared to go through it.
- 12:17And how do you feel about, you know, all of these messages
- 12:19we're getting from both the Americans and the Israelis, you
- 12:22know, saying, well, it's up to the Iranian people to rise up
- 12:25and to get rid of their rulers? When, you know, we know what
- 12:28they're facing if they do that because we've seen 10s of
- 12:32thousands of people killed earlier this year just in normal
- 12:36protest. And we've seen the lessons of
- 12:39history as well when America called on the Kurds to take on
- 12:44Saddam Hussein and then abandoned them and how they
- 12:47were, you know, massacred as a as a result.
- 12:50I mean, so where does that leave you in terms of what what you
- 12:54want people or think people should do in Iran?
- 12:57When they talk about, you know, what will the future Iran be,
- 13:02the Americans, the Israelis are very, very clear that they
- 13:04cannot under any circumstance enforce regime change.
- 13:10I think that's something the people of Iran have always said.
- 13:13Just one thing we ask Do not tell us who will lead us and how
- 13:19we will be governed that that'll be.
- 13:21Because they did before. You know that that that's why
- 13:23there's that deep suspicion, isn't?
- 13:24It Krishnan, Iranians have real agency now we're talking about a
- 13:28very, very intelligent younger population, majority in under
- 13:3330. They're all educated.
- 13:34They, they, they seem to know what they want.
- 13:36Now, what I'm seeing, what I'm seeing and what I'm saying is
- 13:40that they believe that the boots on the ground will not be
- 13:43Israeli troops or American troops.
- 13:45It will be the IRGC and the Artech.
- 13:48The Artech is the military, which has nothing to do with the
- 13:51IRGC. And when both sets of people
- 13:53come on the side, both set, both groups come on the side of the
- 13:55people, they are the people that will basically secure the
- 13:59country. Now, the, the people seem to be
- 14:02calling for the, the former Shah's son, Reza Pahlavi, who's
- 14:06coming in not as a leader, but as a kind of custodian of
- 14:10transition. He has a whole group of people.
- 14:12And there was a feeling that if there is reciprocity with the
- 14:16Artesh, the military and the IRGC, they will be the ones who
- 14:20will protect him. Now, obviously you can't just
- 14:23think that's going to happen overnight.
- 14:25That's a process and it's it's not something that will happen
- 14:30overnight and it's something that has to be from the people
- 14:32of Iran. They have to do that themselves
- 14:34or whoever we actually believe. A lot of the leaders are in
- 14:37prisons. So they they need to be released
- 14:39and have fair democratic secular democracy and and fair
- 14:45elections. Yeah.
- 14:46I mean, you see, I mean, I want to talk to you about Reza Palavi
- 14:49because, I mean, you say the people seem to be calling for a
- 14:52moment that's not very clear to me.
- 14:55I mean, and, and he's been for a long time sort of been ridiculed
- 14:59by a lot of Iranians as somebody who is, you know, nothing to do
- 15:03with the country and out of touch and pass of a, a bygone
- 15:07monarchical dynasty that nobody wants to bring back.
- 15:11You know, why do you think he might be the answer?
- 15:14Is it just because he's the only name that people recognise and
- 15:18could rally around for now? Yes, I think that at the end of
- 15:21the day, that's the only name I'm hearing that that that's
- 15:24very, very clear. Of course, there are certain
- 15:25people who don't like monarchy. I've, I've even some people who
- 15:30actually working day and night to get rid of this regime.
- 15:33I was even speaking to someone who even in Canada who worked
- 15:36specifically to get the IRGC on the terrorist list.
- 15:39He's someone with a very anti regime.
- 15:40But then he put out a post that said he didn't support Alavi
- 15:43because he's just not a monarchist.
- 15:45He's never like monarchy, never like British monarchy.
- 15:47You know, there are some people just don't like monarchists, you
- 15:50know, and I, I think that that's their right.
- 15:53People can say whatever they want, but at the moment I don't
- 15:55see anyone else. And there are certain elements
- 15:59of Iranians who are speaking up and we've got to be careful
- 16:02about who they are as well. Bear in mind, Krishnan,
- 16:04geopolitically what's happening here?
- 16:06There, there's a narrative going on that if the regime goes, it
- 16:11causes a problem with the United Nations because a proper paid up
- 16:15full member of the United Nations will be no longer there
- 16:19because of other countries who've taken them down, other UN
- 16:23countries. And that's a problem.
- 16:25That's the first problem. The second problem is if the
- 16:28Islamic regime goes, it smashes the narrative of a lot of people
- 16:33who believe there are some evil Western imperialism.
- 16:37That is the thing that should be brought down.
- 16:39And I've always said when you're looking at imperialism, who is
- 16:42more imperialist than the Islamic regime of Iran?
- 16:45The, the, the, the, the current supreme leader has properties
- 16:49with London and during the Ukraine war, we froze those
- 16:53assets of Russian oligarchs. So why are we doing it with them
- 16:57as well? So, so if the regime goes, it is
- 17:00a massive change in the whole world and we won't see change
- 17:03until they go again. This is not me.
- 17:06It's what the people of Iran are saying.
- 17:08They they if they go, it will also smash the narrative of a
- 17:10lot of people who do hold on to the fact that Israel is evil and
- 17:14Donald Trump is a madman. I mean, the suspicion for a lot
- 17:17of people, though, with Pallavi is, you know, that it was the
- 17:20Americans and the British who installed his father and that he
- 17:23becomes a sort of another Western stooge.
- 17:26Yes, but, but you know, we've had this, we've, we've had
- 17:29interference all the time that there's been interference in
- 17:32Iranian politics for God knows how long and what, what, as long
- 17:36as Iran has had oil, people have wanted that oil.
- 17:39So the Brits and the Americans have been very, very involved.
- 17:43Even when Ayatollah Khomeini came in in 1979, a lot of people
- 17:48believe that was a kind of Islamist Marxist alliance that
- 17:52got over, toppled the Shah. And one of the main things when
- 17:54we talk about lies, one of the main things was the awful Cinema
- 17:57Rex disaster of August of 1978, where people were locked into a
- 18:02cinema, 300 people were burned alive and everybody said, Oh my
- 18:05God, how can the Shah do that? How awful.
- 18:08But then you realize afterwards it was Islamic extremists who
- 18:10were about to come into power. So these these kind of media
- 18:14tricks we're we're aware of, we've seen.
- 18:17And you know, when we talk about interference, you know, when we
- 18:20talk about Islamic regime interference, they brought in
- 18:23militias from outside. There's always interference.
- 18:25They brought in Iraqi and Afghan militias to kill their own
- 18:28people. So interference is something
- 18:31that we always see. But regarding being a stooge,
- 18:34that's something I can't really speak about.
- 18:37All I know is that people are saying we trust this guy to come
- 18:41in as a custodian of transition and to help us, to help us
- 18:45govern ourselves. And I think that's the thing
- 18:47right now, that people of Iran feel that they've been basically
- 18:50hostages. They've been taken hostage by an
- 18:53Islamic regime that they don't agree with and certainly don't
- 18:56want. To stay.
- 18:56And So what do you think has happened to this argument?
- 18:58Because obviously this has been sort of fed in to the, you know,
- 19:04the, the, the, the sort of the, the protest and social media
- 19:09division around Gaza and Israel. And it comes off the back of
- 19:13that. And so you know, what, what,
- 19:15what are you saying and what kind of reaction, you know, I
- 19:18presume you're being attacked as well as somebody who is
- 19:22effectively supporting Israel. You know what?
- 19:25What do you say about this debate on the way it's going?
- 19:28I think it's disgraceful. There's all kinds of comments
- 19:31that, Oh dear, what's happened to you, Ahmed?
- 19:34We thought you didn't like Trump.
- 19:36We thought you were calling out the terrible things happening in
- 19:39Israel, which I was, you know, from day one.
- 19:42But people didn't listen to my tweets.
- 19:43From day one. I've been saying this is on the
- 19:45Islamic regime. They are the funders of the
- 19:48terrorism. And I've said that from the
- 19:50very, very beginning. And I've been so horrified by
- 19:52the way this whole humanitarian disaster in Iran and in Gaza.
- 19:57They are connected and the people of Iran saying if you
- 20:01want to save the people of Palestine.
- 20:04We've got to save the people around because there is a
- 20:06connection. We're now seeing so many voices,
- 20:09at least on my feed. It may not be on your feed, it
- 20:11may not be on your algorithms. I've made this point that
- 20:14everyone has different algorithms, but we're seeing a
- 20:16lot of Lebanese people saying we've had enough of Hezbollah.
- 20:19We've seen a lot of Palestinians saying that we've had enough of
- 20:21the Islamic regime interfering in our lives.
- 20:25Can we just get rid of them? If you get rid of them, then at
- 20:27least we have a chance to have peace.
- 20:30So that's, and, and then the fact that you're even amplifying
- 20:34those voices makes you a Zionist.
- 20:36And I think that is absolutely disgraceful.
- 20:38I've always been a humanist and I, I, I, I put my oar in
- 20:42straight away. When you're seeing people being
- 20:44massacred and you're thinking, how can we help them?
- 20:46And at the moment, the only way to help them is to, you know,
- 20:50take away the machinery of repression that's been killing
- 20:52these people. And and what about you?
- 20:54I mean, you know, you, you've, you've spent your career, you
- 20:58know, as pricking the, the bubble and the pomposity and,
- 21:03and the seriousness of, of all these things that you oppose.
- 21:08Are you able to still do that or is this now beyond comedy?
- 21:11It's. Kind of beyond comedy.
- 21:13I'll tell you something I said in my show that the day they
- 21:15killed Ayatollah Khamenei and you know, you don't want people
- 21:19to die. I don't want any.
- 21:20In fact, I was actually even saying I actually have a post
- 21:23with my with my discussion with Matt Frey on this very podcast.
- 21:27I had a post saying please do not kill the mullahs.
- 21:30Some of these people are enlightened.
- 21:32Some of these people could be very helpful to the future of
- 21:34Iran because they're intelligent and they're educated.
- 21:36And they're also stuck in a system where if they put their
- 21:38head above the parapet and say what we're doing is wrong, they
- 21:41will get killed. So I don't want to see anyone
- 21:43die. But I was making jokes, which
- 21:45even if I say this now, you're going to get 100 emails saying,
- 21:48oh, my God, how can he joke about that?
- 21:52I said they killed Ayatollah Khamenei.
- 21:54I got an e-mail today declaring me the new supreme leader of
- 21:59Iran and I turned it down because I wasn't happy with
- 22:03their workplace security arrangements.
- 22:06It's not a very confident confidence boosting thing.
- 22:08When you walk into an office and there's a sign on the wall
- 22:11saying 0 days since our last assassination and people were
- 22:15laughing in the context of a comedy show, in the context of a
- 22:17podcast with you, you're going to get a lot of pushback because
- 22:21we see these people as getting what they deserve.
- 22:25You know, people were celebrate. I don't, I didn't celebrate at
- 22:28all. I actually was quite concerned
- 22:30and I thought that's not a good thing because whatever you say,
- 22:33him and Sistani in Iraq, they are the leaders of Shia Islam.
- 22:37And you don't go around as killing the leaders of Shia
- 22:39Islam because there's going to be some kind of blowback.
- 22:41So I didn't think that was a clever thing to do at all.
- 22:45But of course, when you're doing jokes in the context of a comedy
- 22:48show, I think it's actually it's fair game.
- 22:51And can I just say, stop shouting over not you, not you,
- 22:55Christian, because you're great. Stop shouting over Iranian
- 22:59voices. We're sick.
- 23:00I posted this, a woman, a British white woman telling
- 23:03Iranian it's all lies. You've been, you've been, you've
- 23:06been given lies. Journalists ring me up basically
- 23:11asking me to do this. You really should put, and
- 23:14everyone should put their hatred of Donald Trump and their hatred
- 23:19of Israel before whatever is happening to the people of Iran.
- 23:24And that's something I'm sorry, we just won't do this whole
- 23:28thing. It's not about being right or
- 23:29wrong. Human rights is human rights and
- 23:32we cannot politicise this. At the end of the day, OK, they
- 23:36pull out. They pull out and there's no
- 23:38regime change. Let's find out how many people
- 23:41are going to die and we sit back and we allow this to happen.
- 23:45People were crying at the, at the Sydney airport when they
- 23:49were filming the police and they were saying, Oh my God, they're
- 23:52just going to let these girls die.
- 23:53In the end they didn't, they went on and took off two more.
- 23:56But the feeling was that the people couldn't do anything
- 23:59because the authorities were not pro human life.
- 24:03And we're looking at a regime that are absolutely not They,
- 24:06they have no value for human life.
- 24:09So yes, you know, I'm not, I don't celebrate anyone dying.
- 24:13I really don't. I would never do that.
- 24:16But if this regime are gone and we have something else for the
- 24:19people of Iran which they deserve, then yes, I will be
- 24:22celebrating. Ahmed Jaleeli, thank you very
- 24:24much. I love you, Krishnan.
- 24:26Thank you.
