- 0:00So now my look and welcome back to After Maghrib.
- 0:02It's amazing to be back after what's been a few weeks for me
- 0:05on a personal level, and it's lovely to be back with you
- 0:08again, brothers and sisters. I've been seeing the amazing
- 0:10conversations that have been taking place on the podcast over
- 0:13the last few weeks. But today we have a conversation
- 0:16which I'm very, very excited for.
- 0:19And if I'm going to be frank, this is a conversation which
- 0:21will be vulnerable, which will be frank in some ways, maybe a
- 0:25reality check for you and I. That is because we're going to
- 0:28be talking about mending broken relationships with Allah.
- 0:33For many of us, we may not even know if our relationship with
- 0:36God needs to be mended in the 1st place.
- 0:38I would argue that maybe half the people listening don't even
- 0:41know if their relationship with Allah is in a position which may
- 0:45be called broken or needing to be mended.
- 0:47So that's why I think this is a great conversation to have and I
- 0:50would really, really encourage anyone who's listening to please
- 0:53make sure you listen to the end. This is going to be one of those
- 0:57vibes podcasts and as you get into it, you're going to enjoy
- 1:00it more and more as we get deeper into the conversation.
- 1:03But it would only be right for me to come back to after
- 1:06Mukharab. Or let me rephrase that, it
- 1:08wouldn't be right for me to come back to after Mukharab if I
- 1:11wasn't sitting next to my dear brother and none other then said
- 1:16Ali Rabu Salaam Aliqab. Alaikum Salaam Mahmatullah.
- 1:28Habibi said MO Lai, how are you? I'm better now honestly.
- 1:33Come on bro. Honestly, I missed you.
- 1:35I miss you too man. I missed your firstly Arabic of
- 1:38screen, missed your your voice, your smile, the quality you
- 1:43bring to the conversation so. That's very kind of yeah.
- 1:47And thank you to everyone in the comments and online and people
- 1:50have been sending lovely wishes and I've been hearing all sorts
- 1:54of stories from skiing and the Swiss Alps to all sorts.
- 1:57But no, I've just been taking some time off with my family and
- 2:01I have a lot going on outside of the podcast, to be honest.
- 2:03So I won't be back weekly from here on, but I will be kind of
- 2:07resuming slowly and hopefully in Charlotte some point soon we'll
- 2:09be back full time. So I'm looking forward to that,
- 2:12inshallah. Say it, we're going to introduce
- 2:16our guest. Yes, I'm actually very excited
- 2:18to introduce this guest. It's someone who has been doing
- 2:23some incredible work in the community in Milton Keynes,
- 2:26which is close to London. He is the resident island of
- 2:29that community. He's also housed a part time
- 2:32student and also working Marshall our family man as well
- 2:36Sheikh Rabba Jishi Salaam. Alaikum.
- 2:39Thank you so much for being. Here, thank you very much for
- 2:41having me. It's a pleasure and honour, my
- 2:43love. Bless you.
- 2:43Thank you so much for. Me.
- 2:44Thank you so much. How are you keeping Chef I'll?
- 2:46Handle that, Yes, all is good. All is good.
- 2:48I was very kind. I'll handle.
- 2:50It a Hamdullah chef. Obviously this is a big
- 2:52conversation before we get into it.
- 2:54I have a challenge. I've been given a challenge and
- 2:58I'm going to pass it on to you with respect, if you don't mind.
- 3:01So my beloved wife, credit to her, called me just before I
- 3:05came here. She says I have a challenge for
- 3:07you. I said, OK, what's up?
- 3:08She goes, I've given, I'm going to give you 3 words.
- 3:11She said to me 3 words, which you have to drop in the
- 3:14conversation across the whole, the whole course of the video.
- 3:17So I said, all right, fine, she goes.
- 3:18But the trick is you have to do it organically and I can't just
- 3:21randomly shout the word, if that makes sense.
- 3:23I'm going to give you, I'm going to give you 3 words.
- 3:26I've been given 3 words, but I'm not going to kind of say what it
- 3:29is. If you know in the comments, if
- 3:30you have the feeling what the word is, drop in the comment.
- 3:32But me and say that Ali are going to give you 3 random words
- 3:36and over the next hour you have to try and bring them in
- 3:38organically. OK.
- 3:40Does that make sense? In Charlotte.
- 3:41Let's see if I remember the words yes in Charlotte.
- 3:43OK, cool. So the first word I'm gonna give
- 3:45you is motorway. Motorway, motorway.
- 3:48OK. All right, say it.
- 3:50You got a word? Caraballa.
- 3:52Come on bro. No, I'm serious.
- 3:54No, let's make it a non conventional word.
- 3:57Bro. Shit, a podcast you're gonna
- 3:59mention? Revolves around this whole.
- 4:01Oh my day. That works.
- 4:03OK, we'll make it 4 words. Can you give me?
- 4:08After Maghrib. Come on.
- 4:10Bro make it random, not going to come back like Picasso or or
- 4:14like I don't know, come on no passo on bro.
- 4:16OK, you give. You a third one, I think.
- 4:17All right, my third. My passo amending relationship
- 4:20with God. I'm curious how this will this
- 4:22will come up. Curating, Curating and paint.
- 4:24Yeah. All right, so we've got.
- 4:26I'm not, I'm. I'm going to take out after
- 4:28Magalib. OK, Kabbalah, we can keep in.
- 4:31So you've got motorway and Karbala.
- 4:33I'm going to give you Margarita. Oh my God.
- 4:38OK. OK.
- 4:39And one more from you said. Chai Karak.
- 4:41Chai Karak. What's the first word again?
- 4:44Yeah, Motorway. Motorway.
- 4:45I'm going to text you these in case.
- 4:47Yeah. Thank you.
- 4:48Thanks very much. The notepad I don't do we write
- 4:51the pen wall? Yeah, so motorway.
- 4:54Motorway. Karbala.
- 4:55Karbala Margarita and Chai. Karak Chai or karak Chai?
- 5:02Have you had Karakash? No, Yeah, I'm, yeah, I've had
- 5:04yes. That's not correct.
- 5:06Haven't got it today? No.
- 5:08Yeah, yeah, My wife makes really.
- 5:09Really. Good.
- 5:09Yeah, actually, yeah, I've had some.
- 5:12I think it's a good conversation to have said.
- 5:16I know this is something we've touched on in in in recent
- 5:19months. What what, What kind of comes to
- 5:22your mind when we talk about this?
- 5:23And if I can be real, we've actually been speaking about
- 5:26this conversation over the last few days, me and Ahmed.
- 5:29And just today we, I think we both left work at the same time.
- 5:32We're both driving and we go on the phone.
- 5:34And I told Ahmed the conversation today, I feel like
- 5:37no matter what level of spiritual or religious, you
- 5:42know, setting you find yourself in or level you find yourself
- 5:45in, you're going to relate to it.
- 5:47Because I don't think we take time out of our day to reflect
- 5:50what's our relationship with God.
- 5:52So when I when I think of it, and when Ahmed told me, for
- 5:55example, we want to talk about mending relationships with God,
- 5:57The first thing I thought about personally, because our hearts
- 6:01might be broken. You know, normally we find
- 6:03people, you know, they fall in love.
- 6:05You know what destroys the relationship?
- 6:07Love fades away. So maybe we we feel perhaps
- 6:10there could be a distance between US and Allah and maybe
- 6:12that's related to our, you know, calibers central to us and
- 6:17everything we say Allah, we remember.
- 6:22For example, when it comes to the hearts, he says in one of
- 6:26the verse that neither our wolf nor our children will will aid
- 6:30us on that day except the one who comes with caliber Salim,
- 6:33right? So I think for me, the way I see
- 6:36it, I think the heart is heavily involved in today's conversation
- 6:41and I want to see where this takes our heart.
- 6:43Yeah, sounds a beautiful interest.
- 6:45Sense of sense of just kind of to kind of to kind of zoom out
- 6:51and focus on where we are maybe as a community.
- 6:55There's obviously distance when we talk about a broken
- 6:57relationship with our last panel to Isla, we we many times are
- 7:00talking about a distance that one feels from our mind.
- 7:03And obviously we now live in a world which is fatigued, shaped
- 7:07with trauma, all sorts of tyranny and what not.
- 7:09And at times we do feel distance.
- 7:12Is there a way to kind of distinguish and understand why
- 7:15that might be, whether that's either being engulfed in one
- 7:20sin, the distance that means that we've caused that on
- 7:23ourselves, or perhaps maybe kind of a pedagogical like maturing
- 7:29process which Allah is taking us through, a learning process
- 7:32where Allah is straightening us out or some, you know, showing
- 7:37the Lahama through his distance. Is there a way to understand and
- 7:39distinguish which is which? Very beautiful accent.
- 7:42Smila Rahman Rahim, you know, first I'd say that we all, every
- 7:47one of us, right? We we're all on a journey to a
- 7:49loss of Bhanawat Island, right? Everyone, everyone, right?
- 7:52Whether? You're.
- 7:53A and that's usually recited in Karbala right I'll handle last
- 8:00memory test for me. We're like yeah, yeah, my memory
- 8:02is terrible to go on this one and handler, thank you very much
- 8:05for suggesting this one. So we're all we're all
- 8:07travelling to God, right. I lost planet Alice is in the
- 8:10Quran. Oh man, you are, you know,
- 8:14labouring tirelessly towards your God and you shall meet him.
- 8:17We all are going to meet Allah Subhanahu Atahara.
- 8:20So this is inevitable and we can't control that, right?
- 8:24What we can control is how we meet Allah, right?
- 8:28Do we meet him on good terms with him?
- 8:30Do we meet him on bad terms with him?
- 8:32Do we meet him with his name Al Ghafoor, the Forgiving, the
- 8:36Merciful? Or do we meet him with the name
- 8:38Al Muntakhim, the Avenger, for example, Right.
- 8:41And this is what we mean when we say distance, right?
- 8:44How far are we from God? When we're in good terms with
- 8:46Allah, it means we're close to Allah.
- 8:49When we're not, we're far from Allah.
- 8:50Obviously, when we say closeness and distance and so on, what,
- 8:53what, what Ahmed mentioned, we don't mean physical distance.
- 8:57When we talk about last Pano Tal, right now you're close to
- 9:00me, it means I'm close to you. That's how physical distance
- 9:03works. Spiritual distance is not.
- 9:05Connection. Ascent, sometimes, for example,
- 9:08you could be speaking to me, right?
- 9:11Well, I'm, I'm looking at you, but I'm actually somewhere else,
- 9:13right? And that's, you know, just at
- 9:14the psychological or emotional or just consciousness level,
- 9:17right? Not yet spiritual.
- 9:18So you could be attentive to me, but I am not attentive to you.
- 9:23Even worse, you could be speaking to me lovingly, but I'm
- 9:25actually looking at you. But I'm planning how I'm going
- 9:28to hurt you tomorrow, how I'm going to betray you, right.
- 9:31So you are close to me, but I'm far from you.
- 9:35Yeah, the fact is that Allah, Allah tells us in the Quran many
- 9:40times, he does not withhold closeness.
- 9:44The distance is never from Allah.
- 9:46Allah tells us wherever you are, he's with you.
- 9:50Wherever you are, We created man and we know what he whispers to
- 9:56his own self and we are closer to him than his.
- 9:59OK. And Allah tells us also, when my
- 10:03servants ask you about me, what does the verse says?
- 10:07What does the verse say for any Khalid?
- 10:10Some translations, I've read some translations of this verse
- 10:13which says as follows. And if my servants ask you about
- 10:16me or Prophet say that I am near, I answer the calls or
- 10:19whoever calls upon me. But that's wrong.
- 10:21That's not a correct translation.
- 10:23The correct translation is if my servants ask you about me, I am
- 10:28near, not say I am near. Allah is answering directly
- 10:32those people. He's not saying to the Prophet
- 10:33as a mediator. It's like you can speak to me
- 10:36directly. When they're looking for me, I
- 10:41am near. I'm answering you directly,
- 10:42right? It's not like, oh, Prophet tell
- 10:44them I am near. No, Allah is that so?
- 10:47The business is never from a lost panel.
- 10:49Allah is present, right? For example, I have this phone
- 10:52next to me. Yeah, I have this phone next to
- 10:54me, but I'm not attentive to it. I'm not attentive to it, right?
- 10:57For me, it's far from. I might go and, you know, try to
- 10:59look for it. I lost my phone.
- 11:00Where is it? Well, it's actually, it's close
- 11:03to me, but I'm not attentive to it.
- 11:06This way we might be able to understand the distance.
- 11:08What do we mean by I'm distant from Allah?
- 11:10What? What makes us far from God?
- 11:13It's really our inattention to God.
- 11:15God is there. God is everywhere.
- 11:20Wherever you turn, wherever you turn, the faces of Allah is
- 11:23there. Wherever you turn, you see the
- 11:25trace of all, wherever, wherever.
- 11:27Remember when he would say I haven't looked at anything
- 11:30except that what I've seen God in it before it after it.
- 11:34She's God in everything literally right.
- 11:38So Allah is never distant from us.
- 11:39What makes us distant from Allah Subhanahu Utah Allah and this is
- 11:42it's a kind of a one way St. the distance is our inattention to
- 11:47Allah is our unawareness of God is our heedlessness of God is
- 11:50our Raffla right. That's what makes us far from
- 11:53Allah Subhanahu Utah Allah. So you know, sometimes for
- 11:58example, some people try to understand like what does it
- 12:04mean Rafa, right? So what, what, what do you mean
- 12:05by that? And usually scholars, they
- 12:09explain it to us and even the hadith of Adebate and the
- 12:11Prophet Sabu Bahadi, what he was said and they tell us, you know,
- 12:13when you're at inattentive to God, you're attentive to
- 12:16something else and that is your ego.
- 12:19The Anna. The Anna noticed actually when
- 12:22Allah Subhanaw Ta'ala expelled Chaitan from Jannah, Allah tells
- 12:27us about the conversation and it's beautiful to have a lost
- 12:29panel look. I mean, I don't know of any
- 12:31democracy that actually, you know, gives records the
- 12:35conversation with an enemy in a book that will be recited till
- 12:39the day of judgement. Allah did it.
- 12:42Allah did it. So because the lost panel
- 12:46doesn't have a problem in actually, you know, quoting this
- 12:49conversation because there's a. Lesson.
- 12:53Son, there's a lesson in it, right?
- 12:56So see. Well, when you know.
- 12:57Alas, Pantala commanded the angels commanded Iblis as well
- 12:59to prostate to Adam. Iblis rejected when Iblis
- 13:02refused. It wasn't that time that he was
- 13:04expelled. When was he expelled?
- 13:06When he said what? Anna Hirominho, I am better than
- 13:11him. Made me of fire, made him of
- 13:13clay. You want me to prostate to him?
- 13:14So me. Once that happened, then the
- 13:18explosion was right. So this attention to the ego,
- 13:21actually it, it takes us away from a lost panel.
- 13:26Sinning is a further level. It's like you're not just not
- 13:29attentive to a last panel to Allah, you're actually attentive
- 13:32to disobeying God. And this is the example that I
- 13:34mentioned. You know, sometimes you're
- 13:35speaking to me, but I'm just not thinking, not focusing on what
- 13:37you're saying. Sometimes I'm actually hurting,
- 13:40not hurting. You can't hurt God, but I'm
- 13:42disobeying you, I'm betraying you.
- 13:45And this takes you further on the spectrum of distance, right?
- 13:48So the distance starts when we are hateful or heedless from a
- 13:52last panel to Allah. Allah tells us in the Quran,
- 13:57kella bilrana Allah kulu behem makanui ex sibun.
- 14:00What makes us heedless from Allah's panel to Allah?
- 14:03These layers of dust on our hearts, Allah tells us, You know
- 14:07lataam al absar, it's not the division that gets blind, it is
- 14:10the hearts that get blind. Why?
- 14:12Because they're covered. What covers them with layers of
- 14:14dust, layers of rust even that require a lot of scrubbing.
- 14:19What does that? Our deeds Makanui exhibun what
- 14:22we do takes us away from Allah. Otherwise the imams tell us in
- 14:28the dwar, when, O God, were you absent so that we would need
- 14:35something to point to you? You're there everywhere.
- 14:38You. Never conceal yourself from your
- 14:45creation, but it is their deeds that conceal their own selves
- 14:49from you. So this is what how I think you
- 14:51know. It is good to understand what
- 14:54distance from a loss of Hana, what to Hana means.
- 14:56Actually, you know Sheikh, and you mentioned this this point on
- 14:59the heart specifically, and it brought me to to something I
- 15:02read and made a note of from Milamot Menino and Nacho Balaga
- 15:06Salmon 179 where he says eyes can never see God's eyes can
- 15:10never see God, but hearts with proper belief can recognize him.
- 15:13A loss upon to Allah is close to everything but not attached two
- 15:16things is away from everything but is no stranger to them.
- 15:20And it's similar to what you mentioned about yourself with
- 15:21your phone. You can be close but not
- 15:23attached and so on and so forth. And it it goes back to to the
- 15:27concept that a last point or to Allah is is offering a divine
- 15:30withholding sometimes. So even the distance that we
- 15:32feel from Allah, we can't point towards a last point to Allah
- 15:36and see that as, as you know, a punishment of some sense that
- 15:40why is God not present in my life right now when I'm sinning
- 15:44constantly? You know, why am I leading
- 15:47myself to this? Why is Allah allowing me to fall
- 15:49into such sin? And this is something which
- 15:51comes up continuously that there is this notion that Allah's
- 15:54panel to Allah is meant to be placing everything in your life
- 16:00in such a way where you can't fall into sin or trap.
- 16:03No, it's going to happen. This is what happens, right?
- 16:05And as creations, we, we lose sight of that sometimes.
- 16:09I mean, it's kind of like the notion of a teacher who steps
- 16:13out of the room during an exam. He's watchful of you.
- 16:16He's seeing how you fail if you succeed.
- 16:19And he's observing, but he's not interfering directly or like a
- 16:22parent. And you know, we all have young
- 16:24children. May Allah protect them, But you
- 16:27know, when you see your son or your daughter walk for the first
- 16:30time and you kind of observe a safe distance, a precautionary
- 16:33distance, you're there to catch them.
- 16:35You've got them, you'll protect them.
- 16:37The son or the daughter, the, the child's thinking, why, why,
- 16:39why are they letting me fall? You know, it's a maturing
- 16:42process. It's a growth process.
- 16:43And I think for for us, when we feel that distance from Awaspon
- 16:46to Allah, one of the main things we have to do is find a way to
- 16:49turn back. One of them is is told by and I
- 16:51know we're going to talk a bit more about that.
- 16:54So that's a very beautiful example you give, especially the
- 16:56one with the, you know, when you want your children to walk.
- 17:00Yeah, yeah. It's not like you're not holding
- 17:01them because you don't love them.
- 17:02No, you want them to do on their own, right.
- 17:05Yes, it's very nice and shaken of the points you mentioned, you
- 17:07know, for example, the hustler being heedless, the ego.
- 17:11And that's just the point on sinning.
- 17:12You reference sinning. And I think when it comes to
- 17:15sinning, it's I think one of the, the key, the key factors
- 17:19that there is a distance between US and a lot because like when
- 17:22it comes to sinning, it's we are actively the Sabane God and
- 17:26being a sin, we know it goes against what Allah wants from
- 17:29us. The other things like ruffler
- 17:31and these things, I don't want to say they're an excuse where
- 17:33God, you know, let it go. But I think we will be held
- 17:36accounts more on our sins rather than the other examples that you
- 17:41gave, because we're aware that sins are horror.
- 17:43We're aware that Allah says. Is is a chef?
- 17:46Maybe you can correct me. Is Ruffler heedlessness in the
- 17:50sense of ignorance or as I'm I'm I'm I'm knowingly disobeying.
- 17:55The ruffler is just My mind is heedless and I'm distracted and
- 17:58I'm my mind's not. There amazing question actually
- 18:00reminded me of this debate or discussion about the difference
- 18:03between no, the difference between helm and Marifa, the
- 18:06difference between knowledge and recognition, right, because
- 18:10Maharifa, which is emphasized a lot and the first sermon in Ajal
- 18:15Ballaha, it's mentioned the most important step in faith and
- 18:21religiosity is what recognizing God.
- 18:25He doesn't say just because I'm knowing God, he doesn't say
- 18:27knowing God. Why?
- 18:29Because his assumption is that we all know God.
- 18:31Every single creation on earth, every single human being born on
- 18:35earth, Muslim, non-muslim, they know God.
- 18:38This is what is said to be the fitrah, Fitrah, talah.
- 18:42Allah created us humans in such a way.
- 18:44There is an initial disposition that actually longs for what you
- 18:47said, the growth, development, right?
- 18:50You know, becoming bigger, becoming more growing, growing,
- 18:54developing. There is a need.
- 18:56Every single human wants that, right?
- 18:58We want to know more, we want to own more, we want to, you know,
- 19:02influence more. We want to grow.
- 19:04So if you know, if I give you, I don't know if you get some
- 19:08money, right, you'd want more money.
- 19:10If you have some fame, you'd want more fame.
- 19:12If you have so much wealth, you'd want more, right?
- 19:14We'd never satisfied. There's no level that you say,
- 19:16well, you know, we're content. Like now, for example, you you
- 19:20have, I don't know, 6 figure salary, right?
- 19:22Are you content? That's yeah, so but you won't be
- 19:30content. You'd be looking after the 7th
- 19:32figure, right? This this is the way we're made.
- 19:35That's how a lost plant. Those greeds play to this.
- 19:39Say again, I I I referencing greed here.
- 19:42Not necessarily, no. So basically when you misuse
- 19:45these things that a lost planter has planted in US, right?
- 19:48In a way, when you allow greed to go in, then it would divert
- 19:51you. What I'm trying to say is that
- 19:53these this this disposition that like created in US, it has a
- 19:57purpose and that is to seek the ultimate perfection.
- 20:02So, you know, we think our perfection is in the Ferrari
- 20:05that we get or the mansion that we have or the fame that we gain
- 20:08or the wealth that we collect. Well, for some reason, we're
- 20:12never satisfied. We don't reach a stage where we
- 20:13say, OK, look, I'm I'm good, I'm done.
- 20:15Never. That doesn't happen because
- 20:18there's something else that gives us this ET MET Nan the.
- 20:21Serenity, peace, tranquility, there's something else.
- 20:23We want to reach that, but we're not finding it.
- 20:26And that is and that is Allah, Allah, Vidikar Allah saying
- 20:31indeed, it is exclusively in the remembrance of God that the
- 20:35hearts find tranquility. Not in these things that you
- 20:37think they are your perfection, you think they are the target,
- 20:41the goal. Back to the marathon knowledge.
- 20:44We all know God or we're heedless of that because of
- 20:48these layers of the dust layers of the heart, right?
- 20:50We're born with this initial tendency to long for Allah
- 20:53Subhanahu Ta'ala, but we're born in certain environments, right,
- 20:56for the right reasons, wrong reasons.
- 20:57Whatever we have these layers that divert us from actually
- 21:00God, we make, you know, become people who are heedless of
- 21:02Allah. While there are some other
- 21:04people who would say, you know, I mean, look at at the duas from
- 21:09the imams. When I said, for example, when
- 21:13were you absent so that you need something to point to you right.
- 21:18So there's there's no, there's no.
- 21:19So these people recognised God. Imam Ali Ali Saram, for example,
- 21:23recognised a loss of Hanawatah. So recognition is sorry,
- 21:28there's, there's he, he knows a loss of Hanawatah.
- 21:30That's why our imams are called the they're not called, for
- 21:32example, Arafat, they know a loss of Hana Watahallah people,
- 21:36you and I like you and I, we say, OK, we are hateful now of
- 21:38God. We remembered God, right?
- 21:41So I forgot what your question was, by the way, because.
- 21:43No, no, this is how it was. Yeah.
- 21:46Yeah. It was off the back of what I
- 21:47said because obviously you, you referenced Ruffla and I, I, I
- 21:51was, I wanted to understand if it's knowing, if it's, if you're
- 21:54consciously disobeying God or if it's heedlessness in the sense
- 21:57of ignorance. So.
- 21:59Yeah. So this, you know, this, this,
- 22:02this Ruffla from a loss of Hana Witala.
- 22:04Let me just mention something here.
- 22:06This you know when, when you, when you are recognising a loss
- 22:12of Hanover, when you recognise God.
- 22:14Once you have that, you realise that a lot is the source of any
- 22:20perfection that you thought that it was a perfection for you.
- 22:24You realise actually, no, the source of the ultimate love is
- 22:26Allah. The source of the ultimate power
- 22:28and strength is Allah. Knowledge, right?
- 22:30We're never satisfied. We don't want to learn more.
- 22:32The source is a lot. The ultimate perfection is a
- 22:34loss of Hanover. When you realise that you love
- 22:38Allah. This is where love comes.
- 22:41Because when you don't know, when you don't recognize Allah,
- 22:46right, you don't feel that, you don't feel the distance.
- 22:51The distance is there, right? We all know, no just mentioned,
- 22:53right? We are a distance from Allah.
- 22:56But why is it not moving us? Why is it not changing anything
- 22:59in us because we actually didn't recognize Allah in the first
- 23:03place. I'm saying we say Allah, but in
- 23:05fact, in our hearts and our, you know, consciousness, we don't
- 23:08really recognize what a loss of Hano Taala is.
- 23:10Because once we do, once we do, we can't settle.
- 23:13To be honest, we can't settle. Listen to me.
- 23:15And what Menin in the Akumein, What does he say?
- 23:19Fahebni fahabni. Sorry, fahabni saberto Ala
- 23:22Arabic fahefa hospital Ala fahrachic.
- 23:25Oh God, assume, suppose, suppose I was able to handle your
- 23:29torture. How can I handle separation from
- 23:34you, Allah, when you know a Las panada, when you recognise a Las
- 23:39panada, you long, it becomes distance, becomes fire, distance
- 23:43becomes torture. So this is where distance, it
- 23:47can be said the pedagogical kind of element of it.
- 23:50Some people it's they're just heedless of it.
- 23:52They don't care. They're far from Allah, but they
- 23:53don't really. They can't care less.
- 23:55To be honest, they couldn't care less.
- 23:57Some others, when they realise this distance, it becomes
- 24:00torture. To the extent that you know,
- 24:03when the time for prayer comes, he would say to Bilal, what
- 24:08Bilal, relieve us. O Bilal, beside the Adhan, we
- 24:10want to meet with Allah. You know, the people like people
- 24:13like these, they count the minutes to Salat.
- 24:18Not like people like myself, for example, Salat times here.
- 24:20Oh, God's sake, I've worked so much to do.
- 24:23You're waiting, literally waiting for the Salat time.
- 24:25Why? Because this is the time that
- 24:27this distance. Yeah.
- 24:28Yeah, yeah. Yeah, and that's what Salat, you
- 24:31know, is the immortal way. Allah is the mortal way to
- 24:37Allah. That's what Salat is.
- 24:39So and we see that, you know, that recognition has to come
- 24:44first and that is we need to wake up basically.
- 24:46We need to learn about Allah, you know, recognise Allah.
- 24:49Love then comes, and when you love, you become devoted.
- 24:56When you love, you become mockless.
- 24:59You know I love you, right? When I do you a favour, I don't
- 25:03do it because I'm expecting something in return.
- 25:06I love my children. If I go and play with my
- 25:09daughter, I don't do it because, well, I want her in 20 years
- 25:11from today to help me with this. Of course I literally don't do
- 25:14it. True love is is with no
- 25:15expectation. Of his return.
- 25:16Absolutely no expectations, right?
- 25:18And this is what Eklas, this is where Eklas comes, you know,
- 25:25we're commanded to actually devote ourselves to.
- 25:27The right translation? Sincerity.
- 25:29Sincerity. Yes, sincerity.
- 25:31Hassan Hassan. Sincerity.
- 25:33This is where it comes from, love.
- 25:35So what I find interesting is like when you talk about this
- 25:40growth mindset, and obviously we, we do this in a lot of
- 25:42cases, we apply Western principles, which we learn in
- 25:46our, in our jobs and we hear Ted talks and we hear motivational
- 25:49speakers of, of growth and of pushing yourself outside of the
- 25:52comfort zone and being the best you can be.
- 25:55And we compare that to an Islamic psychological
- 25:59perspective. The psychology of Islam is, in
- 26:02my humble opinion, slightly different to a Western mentality
- 26:04in the sense that we are, we are, we're conscious and
- 26:08there's, we're cognitive of where we've come from, but at
- 26:12times we're looking to, to change our form.
- 26:15Do you see what I mean? So in the sense of we're not,
- 26:18it's not linear in the sense of we're starting at point A and
- 26:22we're arriving at point B and you've got a diagonal line.
- 26:24But rather we know that there are ups and downs and it's very
- 26:27much a roller coaster process. And that's why we engage in
- 26:29things like Toba and Toba in its sense, we have this mentality
- 26:33and of course in the back of on the back of Shahara Malvan.
- 26:37Obviously, I know it's been a few weeks now, but a key thing
- 26:40we do across the year and particularly in Shaharamaban is
- 26:44we say reset button. Have you seen what's it called?
- 26:48Men in Black or Will Smith? The pens?
- 26:51We think, yeah, time to wipe the slate clean or you go Hajj or
- 26:55you go Mayne or whatever it is and you think it's time for me
- 26:58to wipe the slate clean, start from scratch.
- 27:00I'm a free man. And we think of it like that.
- 27:02And I have done for many years in my life until perhaps maybe
- 27:05recently where I assume that TOBA is a RE rewind to return to
- 27:11back to. Where you are, where are for the
- 27:13tolba. But it's not that Tolba is not
- 27:15that it's transformative. You know, there's there's a
- 27:19whole transfiguration that you go through as a soul.
- 27:22You're reconstructing your soul. You're you're redefining who you
- 27:25are. You're rekindling yourself with
- 27:27alas panel to Allah in a way which is different to just going
- 27:31back to the days where you didn't sin, for example.
- 27:36But I wanted to ask you, Sheikh and said maybe before Sheikh, if
- 27:39you've got anything to add specifically?
- 27:41Not much, but I would say when I used to think of Toba, what's
- 27:44more like in my younger years, I should think of for example, OK,
- 27:47I've done something wrong. I say sorry God that I move on.
- 27:51There wasn't much like reflection on to becoming better
- 27:54than I was yesterday. And when I look like in the
- 27:57world where people accept Islam, reverse converse, they come
- 28:00towards towards Islam, you know, they accept like Ilah, al Allah,
- 28:04Muhammad Rasul, Allah, God wipes them a clean slate, but it's an
- 28:10opportunity for them to become better than when they were not
- 28:13Muslims, right. So Islam is reformative.
- 28:17You're supposed to transform you and make you a better person.
- 28:19And we don't think about this when it comes to Taobao.
- 28:21Like Hamad said, you know, we can go Umrah, we can go hired ZR
- 28:25and these things and Ramadan comes and we ask Allah for as as
- 28:28Mahara and as Rahamad's forgiveness, but I don't
- 28:31there's. No consciousness.
- 28:32What is? The mentality, the right mental.
- 28:36Can I add a comment to this as well?
- 28:37Sure. Just kind of to, to what my
- 28:40interest in this and I'm very curious to know your, your
- 28:43perspective on this is the meant, like you said, the
- 28:45mentality we have, but the metamorphosis, the transmutation
- 28:50that you go through as a soul, right?
- 28:52You're fully like, this is the way I thought.
- 28:53You're ripping apart who you are and you're moving towards.
- 28:56There's a vessel and you're called.
- 28:57An open heart surgery. Yeah, quite literally bro, this
- 29:00is one of my our favorite iOS verse #70 is sort of Allah says
- 29:05As for those who repent, believe and do good deeds, they are the
- 29:09ones whose evil deeds Allah will change into good sin.
- 29:12And what I've realized is that every time or if I'm not
- 29:15mistaken most times the hunger called Anwar Allah references
- 29:18TOBA. It's always in the context of
- 29:21deeds and Aman and that belief and TOBA are go hand in hand.
- 29:25So one of the conditions of TOBA is to be a believer.
- 29:28So to do TOBA in the 1st place, you have to be a believer.
- 29:30And then when you do TOBA, the last, as you gain belief, so
- 29:33cyclical, so you're a believer who's asking for forgiveness.
- 29:36Allah gives you more belief, and then when it happens again, he's
- 29:38giving you even more belief. And it's just very interesting
- 29:41for me to understand this because this is something I've
- 29:43relearned myself. Like step source is Marafa in
- 29:46many ways. Yeah, yeah.
- 29:48So, yeah, I mean, is this the right way to think of it?
- 29:51How can you you? Said something that is key and
- 29:53that is, you know, faith and Iman is levels Yeah, right.
- 29:56Many of us forget this think that you know, Iman is either
- 29:59there or not there. But in fact it's a it's a
- 30:01massive spectrum when it is not there, there's levels, right of
- 30:06like Kufur or non Iman. And when there is Iman, there's
- 30:08levels. It starts with the Shahad of the
- 30:10Ilahala and then it, you know, there's there's multiple levels
- 30:13in that and there's narrations from the Ilal Bay that tell us
- 30:15this ayat in the Quran also, you know, tell us this.
- 30:20For example, if Takulahata to Kate, you know, have Takua
- 30:23towards God and the way that you know, most is most befitting to
- 30:26him. So it's levels we try, you know,
- 30:28we try our best. There's another verse that says,
- 30:34yeah, you have Lavina Amanu Aminu or you who believed
- 30:37believe, you know, or you have faith, have faith in odd last
- 30:41pan Otan and demos and so on, which tells us that OK, there is
- 30:43a certain level of faith that the last pan Otan Ali is
- 30:45addressing us by. But there's more, there's
- 30:48requirement. So when we, you know, there's
- 30:51narrations that tell us from Imam Sadiq Salam Alayhi that
- 30:54actually Iman, some of his companions comes to the Imam and
- 30:59he says, oh, Imam, tell me about faith about Iman.
- 31:01Is it a saying without action or is it saying an action?
- 31:06Imam says actually Iman is all action, It's all actually
- 31:11effort, it's all action. He says, what do you mean?
- 31:13The Imam explains that actually the action of your lips, the
- 31:18action of your tongue is to obey Allah.
- 31:20That's the level of Iman of the tongue, right?
- 31:23The ears, the spiritual heart as well.
- 31:25And that's the boss of everything because that's where
- 31:28the Shaitaan actually tries to, you know, to enter first,
- 31:31because if he controls the heart and removes the Imam from the
- 31:34heart, it controls everything else.
- 31:36So the Imam continues explaining that every part of your being
- 31:41Iman displays itself in a certain way.
- 31:44Yeah, So your ears, how does Iman display your itself?
- 31:47You know, in your ears or hearing, Let me say, the faculty
- 31:50of hearing by what? By listening to the, you know,
- 31:52to the halal, to what got permitted and by avoiding what
- 31:54God prohibited. Same thing with your eyes,
- 31:57right? The level of Iman, of your eyes
- 31:59is to use them in the way that Allah has commanded and avoid
- 32:02using them in the way that God prohibited.
- 32:04The same thing with, you know, your limbs, your legs, your
- 32:06hands, whatever, and the same thing with the heart and the
- 32:09heart is the master of them all. So when the shaitaan controls
- 32:14the heart, then that you know gets, you know, it becomes
- 32:16easier to control everything else.
- 32:18So Iman is actually all action. It's not just saying, the saying
- 32:21is 1 action of the tongue, right?
- 32:24This means that if you are someone who is obeying Allah in
- 32:28the eyes with division and I'm someone who looks at the Haram
- 32:31and then permissible, right, you have Iman, a high level Iman in
- 32:35that dimension than myself, right?
- 32:38So kind of multiply that by all the dimensions of your being.
- 32:41So this is where Iman is levels. And when Iman goes up and down,
- 32:45like when we sin, basically Iman goes up and down.
- 32:48And this is something key that you said, you know, it's it's
- 32:51it's levels we sin effectively, we've slipped, we slipped.
- 32:55When you sin, you slipped, right?
- 32:57You fell, you're falling down. But you can decide actually
- 32:59whether you fall down on your face and you continue falling
- 33:02down on your face, or actually turn that fall into a sedator.
- 33:07Allah. Allah gives you that
- 33:10opportunity, you know. Never thought of that.
- 33:11And when you when do you do that?
- 33:13When you do that, when you turn to Allah with a broken heart,
- 33:16and this is what Allah wants, you have the opportunity to be
- 33:20not like you were before the sin, but much and much and much
- 33:23better. Allah says we're exactly the
- 33:28point that you mentioned that Allah always talks about the
- 33:30duality between, you know, Iman and action and toba.
- 33:34Yeah, and I shall forgive the one who returns to me, who
- 33:38returns tab and has faith, does good and then guided and then is
- 33:44guided. So Allah Subhanahu Ta'ala is
- 33:47there waiting for us. There are narrations that tell
- 33:51us about the mercy of Allah, how fast this mercy is, narrations
- 33:54and verses of the Quran. Obviously Allah says Nabi, Ebadi
- 33:58and the another for Rahim. Tell my servants, inform them
- 34:01that I am the Merciful, the Forgiving, I am thee.
- 34:05You know, if there's a source of mercy and forgiveness, it is me.
- 34:07Yeah, Allah is saying, tell them that another narration.
- 34:11Allah would say, I think a revelation to thou would Prophet
- 34:14thou would who would say yeah, thou would.
- 34:16If people know, if people who turn their backs to me know I am
- 34:21how I am waiting for them, they would die out of longing for me.
- 34:28Narrations tell us that on the Day of Judgement, Allah
- 34:30Subhanahu Ta'ala forgives and forgives and forgives until
- 34:33Iblis Shaitan himself extends his neck thinking I'm next.
- 34:39That's the level of mercy of Allah Subhanahu Ta'ala, right?
- 34:42So with this sinning, basically al UL bait, tell us also about
- 34:48what our attitude towards sinning is.
- 34:51Obviously it's bad. I'm not encouraging anyone to
- 34:53sin. Please don't, OK?
- 34:54Don't disobey a loss of Hannah or to Hannah, right?
- 34:56Try your best. Because we shouldn't, we
- 34:58shouldn't disobey Allah. But how will they tell us?
- 35:01Like a motivate towards God. Yeah, so, so basically exactly,
- 35:04you can, you can actually you can, you can use that sin to be
- 35:07a motivate towards God. If it happened.
- 35:09I'm not encouraging it happens. But how will they tell us that?
- 35:13Look, if Allah didn't know that sinning can be good, for a
- 35:19believer to turn him back to Allah, Las Panatala wouldn't
- 35:23have created the possibility of sin.
- 35:27So even that is that of his. Even that is a mercy on Los Pano
- 35:31Atta even that. We still do that a lot in DA as
- 35:33well. Do Abu Hamza.
- 35:35How often do we see that, that notion?
- 35:39Yeah. And it's always linked to love
- 35:40as well. Yeah, I sent.
- 35:42Do Abu Hamza 21 times. It's referencing hope of
- 35:46something. Is it?
- 35:46Yeah. Amazing.
- 35:47Yeah, it's and every time it's in in the the context of sin
- 35:51some Hannah. Yeah, yeah.
- 35:52Because, because actually when you know, when I said that when
- 35:55you recognize God, you start loving God, you start feeling
- 35:58that, you know, this distance is very, very it's a torture.
- 36:01Yeah. You want to, you want to gain
- 36:03and it should motivate you basically to gain proximity to a
- 36:07loss of Hannah Wata Ala. It's like the distance that
- 36:09we're suffering today from Imam Zaman Salam Alaynam Madhi,
- 36:11right? This distance, if we're really,
- 36:14if we're really conscious and heedless of Imam Mehdi, right?
- 36:18See, do I'm not, by the way, do I'm not by every Friday, we're
- 36:20literally crying and lamenting and weeping.
- 36:22Out of what? Out of separation.
- 36:24That separation is the one that should motivate us to, you know,
- 36:27to be sincere, to translate to action.
- 36:30This sincerity needs to translate to action, to
- 36:32transform us. And therefore distance becomes a
- 36:35pedagogical kind of tool once we are hateful.
- 36:39OK. So yes, when you love Allah,
- 36:42subhanahu tahala and you realise basically the value of Allah,
- 36:46that no matter what you do, no matter what you do, you can't
- 36:50thank a lot enough. You can never thank a lot
- 36:52enough. You see this in the duas.
- 36:54Some people you know, ask like how are the imams saying you
- 36:57know my sins and my, you know, shortcomings and so on.
- 37:00So bro, it's Allah, it's Allah. Sometimes someone does you a
- 37:04favour, I don't know, helps you with a maybe a, a life event.
- 37:09And you say, look, no matter what I do, I can't repay them.
- 37:12It won't be enough. Why?
- 37:13Because this person stood next to me in a time of need and I
- 37:16can't repay them. How about a lot of Hana Utah
- 37:19Allah? I mean, Allah has given us
- 37:20things that without even, you know, us asking and without even
- 37:23deserving. Since when do we, since when did
- 37:26Allah owe us anything? Since when did a lot of Hana
- 37:29Utah Allah? You know, sometimes because we
- 37:31do things and we oblige God, it's like, yeah, I prayed to a
- 37:33lot later yesterday, you know, I hope God you do, You know, you
- 37:36can give me stuff, right? And I expect from Allah, Jenna
- 37:39so. We make it transactional.
- 37:40Yeah, exactly, exactly. And they realize this.
- 37:43They realize actually they're insignificant value before a
- 37:46loss of Hannah with Allen. Therefore they see no matter
- 37:49what I do, no matter what I do, I'm sinful.
- 37:53Not the sense that I did. So they a loss of Hannah with
- 37:55Allen No, but at their level that's a different level man.
- 37:58For the level of someone like myself, the wajib is what the
- 38:01Salah, the Salaam, the normal, you know, conventional wajib's
- 38:04obligations. Haram is to avoid these things
- 38:07for someone like the prophets of Allah, Ali Ali Wasalam.
- 38:09They have full Maratha. They son, they know.
- 38:12Yeah. And that makes them what?
- 38:14Kummil Leila Allah, Khalil Allah commands the Prophet in the
- 38:17Quran. Stand up in night in prayer,
- 38:20most of the night in prayer. One of his wives does the
- 38:24Prophet like. I see you tiring yourself so
- 38:25much with worship. You're the prophet of God.
- 38:29Did Allah say, you know, not say to you like Allah, you know,
- 38:32like Allah and so on. Allah's you know, anything that
- 38:36you might have, you know, you might be having Allah for gave
- 38:38you and so on. And you're the prophet of God,
- 38:40best of creation. But he said I felt like Akuna
- 38:43Abdul Shakura, should I not be thankful?
- 38:45Should I not be thankful? Sometimes we do, you know, we do
- 38:48a little thing and we feel we want to oblige Allah.
- 38:50It's like, yeah, I'm doing you a favour.
- 38:52And it's like, man, we, we're an absolute.
- 38:54We're absolutely owned by a lost panel.
- 38:56Tada. We have, you know, there is
- 38:58nothing that he owes us except because of his mercy, what he
- 39:01promised us. That's the only thing that we
- 39:03have with God. There's nothing else.
- 39:05And he can change his mind. He reserved the right to change
- 39:08his mind because I mean, if you, if you own something, right, you
- 39:12own a cat. You say I own this cat.
- 39:15OK. Are you an absolute owner of it?
- 39:17Like, can you, I don't know, Can you harm it?
- 39:19Are you allowed to harm it? You're not allowed to harm it.
- 39:21You have a responsibility towards it.
- 39:23You should take care of it, feed it, you know, shelter and so on.
- 39:27But there are things that you can't.
- 39:28Allah did not give you the permission to do things.
- 39:31There's limits. Who owns you?
- 39:34And I and the cat absolutely sent Maliki Omidin or Maliki
- 39:38Omidin Allah. Allah is the absolute owner of
- 39:41everything. And so when he brought us to
- 39:44this world, we didn't have a right upon him to say, well, oh
- 39:48God, I have a right upon you like the cat has a right upon
- 39:51me, right? So I can't say that you can't
- 39:53say that, but fortunately, well, life fortunately for us, but a
- 39:56lot out of his grace, he actually said, look, there's
- 39:59some rights I give you upon myself, I promise, and a lot
- 40:04like. That's crazy when you think of
- 40:06it like that. There's rights that we, Allah
- 40:08has given us to have over him. Is that what you mean?
- 40:11Yeah. Exactly.
- 40:11Exactly. Isn't that beautiful?
- 40:13Isn't that hopeful? US rights to have over.
- 40:15Him and it is a right upon us to give victory and support to the
- 40:21believers. A lot promised and he never
- 40:24breaks, never breaks His promise.
- 40:27A lot of promises that look, if you sin, if you slip, if you
- 40:31turn back to me, I can convert your bad records to good
- 40:36records. Even better, I can multiply the
- 40:41good records, I can multiply them for you.
- 40:44How beautiful is that? Should we not like take
- 40:46advantage of this? Honestly, that's what Law
- 40:49Subhanahu Ta'ala promised us. And this is where you understand
- 40:51in the dohas of Alu Bait how they actually always would say
- 40:57we're always between hope and fear.
- 41:01We're always between hope and fear.
- 41:03Is that what Tuckle is right to be like having, you know, having
- 41:08fear of Allah but not fear of his punishment, rather than just
- 41:12like being in between right? Yeah, so, so, so taqwa is
- 41:16defined by Ahul Bait. Actually, as I think Imam Sadiq
- 41:19says, you know taqwa is. So it's more than just God
- 41:21consciousness. There is an element of fear.
- 41:23There is there exactly. So it's basically it is this.
- 41:26So there's a difference in defining it.
- 41:28One is the consciousness itself, which Shields you from
- 41:31disobeying God and which pushes you to obeying God.
- 41:33OK, another interpretation of it says that, well no, it is
- 41:36actually the fact that God finds you where he where you should be
- 41:40and misses you where you shouldn't be.
- 41:42That's Takwa. Essentially.
- 41:45Obey Allah, do the wajib, avoid the Haram.
- 41:48Literally that. That's what he is.
- 41:49Takwa is right if you want to be a Muttaki, if you want to
- 41:52achieve the qualities and the rewards of what Allah says in
- 41:55the Quran, this is for Muttakin. If you want to be like Imam Amir
- 41:59Muttakin, the scribes of Muttakin, the pious people, do
- 42:04the wajib, do the obligation avoid them permissible.
- 42:07I remember something very interesting.
- 42:09I I think it is attributed to Sheikh Bahjatullah.
- 42:12Bless him that someone came to him and he said, you know, can
- 42:16you please give me a vicar or something that I can do some
- 42:19Hamel something, you know, I don't know the remembrance, a
- 42:21certain series of actions that I can do so that I can meet him
- 42:24Ahmed Mehdi, so I can meet him Ahmed Salman.
- 42:27And and the answer was, do the Wajib avoid the Haram, Do the
- 42:32obligations, avoid the prohibitions of Allah?
- 42:36Not that you will meet Imam, Imam will come to meet you.
- 42:39Imam will come to meet you. Because sometimes we think, you
- 42:42know, we disregard what Allah has commanded us and we focus so
- 42:46much on the extra things and then we feel, we oblige God, we
- 42:50feel we've done a favour to God that we deserve something in
- 42:52return. But we're missing, you know, the
- 42:54most important part, which is just obey a loss of Hanoi Uttala
- 42:57man. And the loss of Hano Uttala
- 42:58actually promises you if you're on Mutaki, if you have Takwa,
- 43:02Allah in the Quran says beautiful things, right?
- 43:05The beginning of your talk, I remember Ahmed, you mentioned
- 43:07something about, you know, there's trauma, there's
- 43:09difficulties in life, right? There's, there's sometimes
- 43:12darkness in life. Allah tells us the way out is
- 43:17when you're Muttaki, when there's someone who obeys Allah,
- 43:20Subhanahu, Maharaja, whoever has piety, whoever has this level,
- 43:27Allah will create for her, for him, and exit.
- 43:30What is the problem that you're facing?
- 43:32Allah will create an exit for you.
- 43:33Not necessarily the problem will be solved, right?
- 43:36But there will be an exit for you, Allah says, and He will
- 43:40what? And He will actually give you
- 43:44sustenance, Not from things that you've calculated, from things
- 43:47that will actually surprise you. Allah saying I can surprise you
- 43:51if you have what? Takwa, I think a lot.
- 43:55Of the time, the the psychology we have about Allah is, is, is
- 43:59very much it's we think of God in a very chronological way as
- 44:03well. So we think of everything
- 44:05quantitatively in the sense of I've done X many sins, Allah has
- 44:08forgiven me X many times. Perhaps it's given me X many
- 44:11blessings. How many times do I need to sin
- 44:14before and ask forgiveness? Before Allah stops his mercy and
- 44:17starts his wrath, the rahma ends and you know, the wrath begins,
- 44:21the punishment begins that Allah begins.
- 44:23You know, we don't really see it like that from an Islamic lens
- 44:27as well. We have this problem a lot.
- 44:29A lot of the time. It's a shameful feeling as well.
- 44:33I'm not worthy of my relationship with Allah or the
- 44:36rahma upon me is not I'm not worthy for it.
- 44:40The forgiveness. I'm not worthy of the
- 44:41forgiveness. And these things are obviously
- 44:43founded perhaps in multiplicity of reasons.
- 44:46It could be your culture. It could be just disillusionment
- 44:50with Allah. Your faults are guided and
- 44:51misunderstanding what God is and the part and the part of Allah
- 44:54and all of these things. But the point being is that we
- 44:57have have I think the root of it, like you said, comes from
- 45:01malafa understanding God and to understand God and understanding
- 45:06a smart out of nussel for Alpha Robert.
- 45:09When you understand yourself, then you understand a lot what
- 45:11is within me and what have I done for myself?
- 45:14What am I doing to myself and my day-to-day actions?
- 45:17Are they God centric in the way I'm living my life?
- 45:20Once you like you said, that's beautiful story about the
- 45:23Wajibat and Shah Bachat 1 and staying away from the Haramad.
- 45:28The things that we do on a day-to-day basis, if they are
- 45:31God centric and if there's effort, then naturally we will
- 45:36get closer to our last pantal. Then our goal is to climb up the
- 45:39ladder. If we don't see a ladder in our
- 45:41lives at the moment, that's OK. I mean for many of us, we're
- 45:44stagnant. We're static in our relationship
- 45:46with a lot I. Wouldn't, I wouldn't say, look,
- 45:47to be honest with you, every moment that you're not sinning,
- 45:51Allah will cherish it. Every moment that you're
- 45:54probably thinking about right now, we're talking, right?
- 45:56If Allah is in the background, he should be in the foreground
- 45:59to be honest. But if Allah is in the
- 46:00background of our conversation of our life, you might be
- 46:03playing with your children, you might be, you might be doing
- 46:05anything. What if Allah is on your mind,
- 46:08right? That's you being hateful,
- 46:10hateful last month. That's you getting closer to
- 46:12Allah every moment. You're doing something and you
- 46:14understand that. The ultimate goal?
- 46:15Is something for some reason we have this perception that you
- 46:17don't have to be on the prayer mat to be closer to Allah.
- 46:19Subhana Otada says who says who Hanabe didn't say that the
- 46:23Prophet didn't teach us teach us that the Prophet.
- 46:25In fact, some people actually, they went and secluded
- 46:27themselves in caves or whatever at his time, thinking that you
- 46:31know, when Allah revealed, for example, the verse and in the
- 46:35heavens is your sustenance and what you're promised.
- 46:37Some people misunderstood this verse and they actually
- 46:39disconnected from their lives. They left their wives, they left
- 46:41their families and they went and secluded themselves thinking
- 46:43well, Allah will bring us the sustenance.
- 46:45I don't need to work. Prophet rebuked them.
- 46:48What is this? He said.
- 46:49I am a human like you. I marry like you, I walk in the
- 46:53market like you, I eat like you. I don't fast all days like what
- 46:57you're claiming to be doing. What is this that you're
- 46:59bringing? That's not my religion.
- 47:01Why are we thinking like this these days?
- 47:03Right. And this is probably what is
- 47:05making many people, maybe the youth also disconnecting from
- 47:07Dean, thinking that Dean has to be right.
- 47:10You have to be on the prayer mat and it's in the mosque.
- 47:12It's not outside the mosque, right?
- 47:14And that's completely wrong. That's one of not one of the
- 47:16prophets of the lottery. You know, Schefner, sometimes
- 47:18like this, these examples just gave it's it's amazing because I
- 47:21know we want to ask you a question regarding for example,
- 47:23sometimes we find ourselves in certain environments where we're
- 47:27sort of like conditioned to think this way, which is not
- 47:30right, of course. And then I think it plays a big
- 47:32role at home by as parents and how we instill the love of Allah
- 47:36and our children. But I just want to come back to
- 47:38toba for a second chef and I just I just like from what I've
- 47:42understood, like Toba's, of course it's it's it's their
- 47:45fault for us to transform as individuals build Marafa with
- 47:48God, Inshallah, increase our my calm, the eyes of Allah between
- 47:53him and us. But for someone listening or
- 47:56watching to this podcast now, TOBA may mean nothing to them.
- 47:59Like what was what am I going to get?
- 48:01What's my benefit? Am I going to gain anything?
- 48:04Yeah, I need someone has non-stop.
- 48:07If someone has non-stop, you know, it's not a big deal to me.
- 48:11I send left, right and center, you know, and I cheat people.
- 48:15I I, I speak behind people like I create my own people.
- 48:19Yeah. What's how's Toba gonna have
- 48:21been? And why, why do people need to
- 48:23actively sit and do TOBA? Yeah, why can't I just feel
- 48:26like, you know what? I shouldn't do that again.
- 48:27Because some have this mentality.
- 48:29OK, I'll I'll be 80. I'll repent.
- 48:32Not even that, not even that. Like for example, let's say I
- 48:35like you said, you choke, you cheated someone or whatever, you
- 48:38stole something. You might just feel bad and be
- 48:41like, you know what, that wasn't great.
- 48:43I shouldn't do that again. And you just move on with your
- 48:45life. Like even, you know, that was a
- 48:47bit deep. I spoke about that guy in front
- 48:49of his behind his back or whatever.
- 48:50You know, I swore to this guy, I feel bad.
- 48:52You just carry on. That's not Tolba.
- 48:54You feel regret and remorse. But but is that Tolba as well?
- 48:59Like is do you see what I mean? Do you get what I mean?
- 49:01Sorry, if I can add, that's where Tolba, not Soha comes in,
- 49:03right? It's like talking to first of
- 49:05all. So it's a name?
- 49:07Yeah, yeah, it's. Sincerity in, in seeking
- 49:10repentance or seeking returning to Allah.
- 49:12That's a very good question, to be honest with you.
- 49:14One, I mean, I can't think of another answer to this then or
- 49:17maybe thought then saying that for anyone who is sinning, look,
- 49:23there are people who are sinners and they know it's a sin, OK?
- 49:28They know it's a sin and they recognize I'm disobeying Allah.
- 49:33That's much better. Not justifying it.
- 49:35Please don't sin. That's much better than those
- 49:38who sin and they want to justify it and say well no, it's
- 49:43actually not a sin and they bring their own.
- 49:44It's like a lot is saying but I am saying.
- 49:47Right. That's very dangerous.
- 49:49Only God can judge me. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 49:51It's like God can judge me as a It's far better to acknowledge
- 49:54that you've done a mistake. You've disobeyed a loss of Hana
- 49:57Wattaga. It's much better than being on
- 49:59the other side of saying Allah says and I say it's like Iblis
- 50:03Saitan, the enemy of God. That's why he's challenging the
- 50:06command of God, right? You think that Allah judges, but
- 50:08you think you're a better judge. That puts you in a very bad
- 50:11position. Don't be in that position.
- 50:13It's far better to be sinful, but thinking that it's a sin.
- 50:17It's I'm disobeying, recognizing as I'm recognizing I'm
- 50:21disobeying Allah. Look, there's a a narration.
- 50:23I'm sorry, I'm probably I'm diverging from the conversation,
- 50:26but look, someone, a companion rum started Abu Basir.
- 50:31Actually Al Basir, he had a neighbor who was a who was a
- 50:34sinful person and he was probably friends with
- 50:36authorities and he had some money and and then he started
- 50:39kind of engaging in the Haram and having gatherings in his, in
- 50:42his house, impermissible stuff and drinking and all that.
- 50:46Abu Basir, he kind of, he was bothered and irritated and he
- 50:51was hurt also noise maybe. And you know what this person is
- 50:54doing like that's come on, it's Haram.
- 50:57And Abu Wasir would remind this neighbor, he wouldn't listen.
- 51:00Remind again, he wouldn't listen.
- 51:01One day Abu Wasir said to this person like, man, come on,
- 51:03that's, you know, please, that's, that's very bad.
- 51:06That man said to Abu Wasir and he knows that Abu Wasir is
- 51:09friends of Imam Sadaq, is a companion of Imam Sadaq.
- 51:11He said, look, I'm a troubled man.
- 51:14You're fine. You're not troubled, right?
- 51:15Maybe ask your companion Imam Sadaq to pray for me.
- 51:19He acknowledged, by the way, that guy acknowledged that.
- 51:21Look, I know it's wrong. I'm troubled.
- 51:24He's given an excuse. Obviously there's no excuse for
- 51:26sinning, right? I'm troubled.
- 51:29Ask the Imam, maybe he can pray for me.
- 51:32Maybe something happens to me. So this guy acknowledged he is
- 51:35actually he was wrong, right? He knows it.
- 51:37And he also acknowledged that the Imam actually.
- 51:39So he loves the Imam. He has a connection with the
- 51:42Imam with the value of Allah on earth.
- 51:45Abu Basir, when he went to the Imam Assad in in Medina.
- 51:49So Abu Basir was in Kufa when he travelled Imamsaru in Medina.
- 51:52He told the imam, this is the story of my neighbor.
- 51:54And he said, you know, maybe you pray for him and so on.
- 51:57And the Imam said, OK, when you go back, give my salams to this
- 52:01guy, give my salams. See, see how we should treat the
- 52:05sinners sometimes. I mean the way that we treat
- 52:08people who sin so judge mental. Don't cut them off as.
- 52:12Basically it cost them off the way we judge them, the way my
- 52:16mum started the narration says you know, if if people know how
- 52:19Allah created people, no one would blame anyone.
- 52:22Not saying justify the sin I'm saying, but you'd be able to
- 52:25understand the weaknesses that people.
- 52:26Have the fragility of. Sin and you need to address that
- 52:30not to be judge mental, right? Let's say a sister is not
- 52:33wearing her hijab, for example. How do you how do you approach
- 52:35that, right? Have you been in her
- 52:37environment? Have you seen the challenges
- 52:39that she's faced? Have you addressed those?
- 52:41Have you seen how she'd be judged, for example, from
- 52:43people? And maybe she was weak in terms
- 52:44of, you know, I can't put it on because of ABC.
- 52:47I'm not saying the arguments are correct, but understand that
- 52:49there's a misunderstanding there.
- 52:50And so that's not the person, right?
- 52:53Don't you know, attack the person or judge the person?
- 52:56So the Imam says give my Salam to that.
- 52:57Imagine Imam Mahdi now tells you, for example, you know, give
- 52:59my salams to this person. You're sinning, maybe Imam
- 53:02saying my salams to you. Oh, how beautiful that is.
- 53:06Well, that is very, very hopeful.
- 53:07You know, I teared up when I when I read that and tell him
- 53:11that if he stops the Haram, if he stops what he is doing, I
- 53:14promise him Jannah. I promise him he will be in
- 53:16paradise. What did the Imam actually
- 53:19advise? He advised what Thakur right?
- 53:22Do the what? Avoid the Haram.
- 53:23He didn't give him. You know this kind of Amal and
- 53:26you know this Rose as a straightforward man, it's very
- 53:29clear. Stop what you are doing.
- 53:32I guarantee you, Jannah Abu Basir, when he travelled back
- 53:35home, he spoke to his neighbor. He he's never visited him.
- 53:37And Wasir said, look, I spoke to him and he tells you this, he
- 53:41sends you Salaam and he tells you if you stop this Haram that
- 53:45you're doing, I'll guarantee you a Jannah.
- 53:48That man said seriously, Imam told you to tell me this, He
- 53:54sent Salaam to me and he's telling me this, said yes.
- 53:58So that is it. That is enough for me.
- 54:01And the man transformed everything he had.
- 54:04He let go of it to the extent they had no clothes.
- 54:08One day he would call Abu Basir, he would call his neighbor and
- 54:10say I have no clothes, I want to go out, I have nothing.
- 54:12I gave everything that I had from the Haram.
- 54:16Why? Because there was 1 moment of
- 54:17love that was shown to him. One moment of love.
- 54:21That's what we sometimes need, you know, we need.
- 54:23Sometimes some people would just stand by us and tell us, look
- 54:26what you're doing is wrong, Allah loves you.
- 54:29You're missing out on something very deep in your journey.
- 54:32It's very sad that you spend these 80 years.
- 54:34How honestly, how long are we going to live in this world,
- 54:37right? 30-40 years, 80 years, that's
- 54:39very short. Ask people who are now 80 years
- 54:41old, tell them how do you feel your life went?
- 54:44They tell you very quick, very quick.
- 54:47How do you want to spend your life?
- 54:50There's something so big and so deep that so many people spoke
- 54:52about and they experienced a Las Pano Taala.
- 54:55Do you really want to miss out on that because of a pleasure
- 54:58that actually you will enjoy for a few moments, but the
- 55:03repercussions of it will last for long?
- 55:04Of course it will last for long. This is what the imams say in
- 55:07the do Ah, you know, oh God, I sinned and I disobeyed you
- 55:10because of a certain, for example, pleasure that I know
- 55:13that the joy of it was moments, but the torture of it will last.
- 55:17Yeah. Material torture.
- 55:18I'm not talking about afterlife and so on.
- 55:20The material, kind of. The Sheikh, we see that, we see
- 55:23that narrative a lot in here. And I mean, we went, we
- 55:27mentioned Da Abu Hamza earlier, but my mum, mum, Sajad le
- 55:30Salaam, there's there's one line in da Abu Hamza where he said,
- 55:33had anyone else been watching me sin except you, then maybe I
- 55:37wouldn't have sinned had a lot like if I had, if I was sinning
- 55:41and said he was watching me, then I wouldn't have sinned.
- 55:43But but Allah was watching and I still sinned.
- 55:46And Monster Judd then says, along the lines I'm paraphrasing
- 55:49from my memory, along the lines of something like, had I known
- 55:53the immediateness and the reality of the punishment to
- 55:57come, I wouldn't have sinned. And a lot of that comes back to
- 56:00the knowledge that we have of our last part of that, the
- 56:02understanding we have and, and the humility we have in
- 56:05approaching Allah. You know, when we talk about
- 56:08Dhakmael and Milamot Manin never doubts the love of Allah and the
- 56:14rahma of Allah and the forgiveness of Allah.
- 56:16But he can't consistently talks about his own flaws and
- 56:19shortcomings. Not that he has, but he talks
- 56:22about the shortcomings and the flaws of the believer.
- 56:24He talks about the need for forgiveness from sin, but he
- 56:27never once doubts the love and the acceptance that Allah will
- 56:30give him. Even in the point, as you say,
- 56:33in the point of in in Hellfire and rejections, Min turns back
- 56:36to the last pond island and says, I'll still call to you.
- 56:40So I think it's crazy. It's a mentality thing.
- 56:42We need to, we need to see ourselves as it's just gonna
- 56:45sound so cliche and I'm gonna say it's going to laughing, but
- 56:48kind of like we're kind of like birds on a journey, bro.
- 56:51And it keeps us, it keeps us moving.
- 56:55And we're going to lie that bro, it keeps on going.
- 56:57Bro, it's amazing. I'll say that.
- 56:58It was just tearing up, acting. I was laughing.
- 57:00Well, that's amazing. You know, it's just it.
- 57:02Keeps the age of emotion. Laughing our wings.
- 57:07Yeah. These are beautiful examples
- 57:10like. Black.
- 57:13Butterfly that hate me, man Yeah, maybe.
- 57:17I think I've been in that stage in my.
- 57:19Life. Yeah, of course.
- 57:19Many of us face that situation. So sometimes where we find
- 57:22ourselves far away from our last, we want to come back.
- 57:26Perhaps we just need that encouragement.
- 57:28And just that point when I mentioned earlier, before I
- 57:30spoke about TOBA, was like, sometimes when when in certain
- 57:35environments, either as communities we go to or the way
- 57:40we're raised in certain in certain families is that we're
- 57:44conditioned to fair God of his punishment.
- 57:46But what did Imam Jaffar Assad say?
- 57:48He then mentioned Hellfire. Yeah, he mentioned only
- 57:51journalists. And yeah.
- 57:52Yeah, yeah. And they they had different they
- 57:54had different ways of doing, you know that that story Bishop Al
- 57:57Hafi, I think I mentioned yes, what a story.
- 58:00And for those correct me if I'm wrong Jackman, but if I'm not
- 58:03mistaken is Imam with Calvin I'd Islam with companion all.
- 58:06Yes, Imam Ali Salaam was walking down a road and he he passed the
- 58:11house with music playing and he saw a lady outside sweeping the
- 58:14floor. And he said to her as the owner
- 58:16of this house is the owner of a free man or a slave.
- 58:19And she said, no, he's a free man, his heart OK.
- 58:22She says why this is because if he was a slave then he would
- 58:24know who is his master. Yeah, he was fear his master.
- 58:27And then he walked away. The lady went in.
- 58:29She told Bishop Halfi at the time and then Bishop, so do you
- 58:31know this guy, random guy walked past.
- 58:33And so I had this interaction with me.
- 58:35He says, what was he way or what do you look like?
- 58:37He's Allah. So he ran out barefoot al Halfi
- 58:42and he chased the imam down the road and he asked for
- 58:44forgiveness and he repented. But the the the Imalem Saddam
- 58:48had that they had a like an eloquence and it's like a really
- 58:53unique and persuasive way. Yeah, they they had a way of.
- 58:57Lives the way you perceive life. They had Balaka bro, they had a
- 59:00way of way with words to to bring people towards Allah.
- 59:04Imam could have easily said no, you're going to hell Yeah, it's.
- 59:08Actually teaches us a beautiful lesson in dawa, right.
- 59:10We see I mean, we see. We see sometimes there's this
- 59:12movement in the Muslim world towards dawa that it's like when
- 59:16you're cornering people to join the faith.
- 59:19How could that work? You know, where is the love?
- 59:22Where is the kuno duat and Len and bureiri?
- 59:24I've seen that to invite to our path without having to talk,
- 59:26without having to speak, right. This is Yeah, this is probably
- 59:29what the imams your. Words, Your words, Imam Sajan,
- 59:32Islam and Satan Hakouk says that your ears are the gateway to
- 59:36your heart. And, and the way we talk to
- 59:38people, the words we use, the tone of our voice, the language
- 59:41we can communicate in. These are the things, the
- 59:43people, the things people hear from us should be a gateway into
- 59:46their heart. Regardless, You know, the Salam
- 59:50says, show people our our words and then we'll do the rest.
- 59:54Our actions will do the. Rest If people know the beauty
- 1:00:00of our words, they would follow us automatically so that.
- 1:00:03Responsibility falls on us, Yeah, because they've got.
- 1:00:06By the way, we represent some. Ways.
- 1:00:09Yeah, yeah. And we learn from your own Jafar
- 1:00:13Assad that, he says not being a doorman for us, that teaches us
- 1:00:17lessons. And this was the method of the
- 1:00:19Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi was said, look, our imams, they
- 1:00:21didn't bring anything of their own.
- 1:00:23Even the people who are, you know, of followers of other
- 1:00:26paths in Islam, they used to take to say all the schools of
- 1:00:29Islam, Hassan, they used to say, you know, when Baker or Sadiq
- 1:00:32they speak, they wouldn't say anything except saying a loss of
- 1:00:35Hanover Allah said or the messenger of God said.
- 1:00:38This is the part of the Rasool Allah.
- 1:00:39And this is where we actually also kind of, you know, we
- 1:00:42invite all our brothers in Islam that actually this is the part
- 1:00:45of Rasul. That's why we follow Amir al
- 1:00:46Mamim, because he's the teacher of the true part of Rasulullah,
- 1:00:49right? Not for anything special other
- 1:00:51than that, actually. I mean, when you say man al
- 1:00:54Abdul and Abidi Muhammad, I'm only a slave of the slaves of
- 1:00:56Muhammad, right? And the prophet actually told us
- 1:00:59that this is the person to follow after me because he knows
- 1:01:03how to invite people to the way of the last mano time.
- 1:01:05And this is the knowledge that our imams inherited.
- 1:01:08That's really the reasoning behind us being Shia, right?
- 1:01:10Followers of this path, we're followers of Muhammad,
- 1:01:13sallallahu alayhi, we're Muslim, right?
- 1:01:15Shia means actually this understanding or this
- 1:01:18understanding of the Prophet's Sunnah through Ali Amir.
- 1:01:20What we need. This is the right way of
- 1:01:22understanding, right? Let me go back just because,
- 1:01:25because Mashallah, you've said like very, very interesting
- 1:01:27points. And every time you say a little
- 1:01:29word or a phrase, I feel like, Oh my God, I can talk so much
- 1:01:31about. This inspiring us?
- 1:01:32No, I'm sorry. You know a lot I get inspired by
- 1:01:36you, but honestly, because fear and hope, because this this is
- 1:01:39very important. Yeah.
- 1:01:40Remember when I said that we are completely owned by Allah?
- 1:01:44He owes us nothing, right? He owes us nothing.
- 1:01:48That takes us to the position of what?
- 1:01:49Fear meaning that you can't take Allah for granted.
- 1:01:53I mentioned the verse that said Naberdi and the analog of Rahim
- 1:01:56informed my servants that I am the merciful forgiving the
- 1:01:59merciful or the all forgiving, the all merciful.
- 1:02:02I didn't mention the next verse, Qabi, qabi.
- 1:02:10And my punishment and penalty is the most severe.
- 1:02:13Don't take me for granted. Don't take my mercy for granted.
- 1:02:17So when I said it's far better, for example, to be acknowledging
- 1:02:20that you're sinful than to, you know, put yourself as a God in
- 1:02:23front of God doesn't mean that you take a lost panel to Allah
- 1:02:26for for granted. Yeah, Imam in Doha ABI Ham's
- 1:02:30actually the one you just quoted next.
- 1:02:31Some some parts it said when I disobeyed you, I wasn't actually
- 1:02:39denying your lordship over me. Who am I to actually do that?
- 1:02:42No, but it was just a slip. It was a slip.
- 1:02:45I was weak. He acknowledged I was weak and
- 1:02:48it was a slip. And you know, I was defeated by
- 1:02:51my own desires, by my own inclination.
- 1:02:53So he admitted, right. So fear meaning that it's not
- 1:02:58like you fear, it's like you fear a beast, right?
- 1:02:59It's like, you know, when we bring the element of love, it's
- 1:03:02like you're fearing this, like displeasing your beloved.
- 1:03:05Imagine you love someone so much that you you fear that they
- 1:03:09would. You know you.
- 1:03:10Don't want to disappoint them you.
- 1:03:11Don't want to disappoint them because those feelings very,
- 1:03:13very. Can relate with our parents when
- 1:03:15it. Comes, of course, yeah.
- 1:03:16It's a like you said, the parents is is the closest thing
- 1:03:19we have to understand that notion.
- 1:03:20The the the consciousness of the authority and and the the
- 1:03:24leadership, the status, the. Way the mother treats the.
- 1:03:27Newborn unlike unconditional Isn't it unconditional the.
- 1:03:33Vulnerability of a human, the fragility of a human and the
- 1:03:36fact that a newborn is completely at the mercy and
- 1:03:38disposal of the mother. In that case, the mother can
- 1:03:40neglect or the mother can care, caress and embrace that.
- 1:03:43Child and we're all creation. Well, we're all talking about
- 1:03:46the like at the creation level, right?
- 1:03:47Well, we talk about a lot, bro. That's a different game.
- 1:03:49That's that's a different thing. You know, like even if you said
- 1:03:52drop in an that's wrong because Allah is far more infinite than
- 1:03:56an ocean. So that's just us at our level.
- 1:03:59And Allah shows us his signs. Allah says in the Quran,
- 1:04:01Senorihim ayatina philanthropy, and we will show them our signs
- 1:04:05of things that point us to him in what in the horizons and
- 1:04:08their own selves. When you said, how do we get to
- 1:04:12know God, how to recognize God right by introspecting, by
- 1:04:15looking around us and so on. There are signs that point us to
- 1:04:17God and this is, you know, the mother love and so on.
- 1:04:19These are signs from which we learn how Allah could be from
- 1:04:24the words that he actually himself said.
- 1:04:26So we have this fear fearing, you know, displeasing Allah,
- 1:04:30fearing disappointing Allah, Subhanahu, what Allah when the
- 1:04:32love is there? And I said there are things
- 1:04:35Allah promises us and these should have give us what hope
- 1:04:39should give us hope. So this is where Allah bait
- 1:04:42always told us there has to be a balance between fear and hope in
- 1:04:45your relationship with Allah. If you go too much to fear, you
- 1:04:49might despair, you might despair, you might feel like, so
- 1:04:52what's the point? I'm going to be in the Hellfire.
- 1:04:54I'm going to be punished. I'm going.
- 1:04:56So what might see God that's not loving?
- 1:04:58Accent, it's like, So what? What's the point?
- 1:05:00Let me just I'm in the Hellfire anyway.
- 1:05:01Let me just enjoy. Let me just enjoy.
- 1:05:04So what? So that's wrong.
- 1:05:05That's where you shouldn't go to that extreme of what despair and
- 1:05:08what tells us in the Quran, say all my servants who have
- 1:05:15exceeded the limits against themselves.
- 1:05:17Do not despair of the mercy of God in the Allah forgives all
- 1:05:22sins. How big is your sin?
- 1:05:25How big is it? Sometimes some people think
- 1:05:27like, man, I've done I've done bad stuff.
- 1:05:29It's like, OK, how bad, right? How bad do you think like is
- 1:05:32that your thought about Allah? Is Allah this much to you?
- 1:05:35Who do you think Allah is? Who do you think Allah is?
- 1:05:39Allah is the, you know, the merciful, My mercy enveloped
- 1:05:46everything, whatever is a thing, Allah mercy enveloped.
- 1:05:50So who are you to say you know, my sin is much bigger.
- 1:05:52Some people came to the prophet at sometimes saying all prophet
- 1:05:54I've done terrible things. You know God will no way will he
- 1:05:58could forgive me. It's like, no.
- 1:06:00Have you heard that thing? She has like I tell my sin, I
- 1:06:03tell my Lord, I have a great sin and they say, tell me I said,
- 1:06:06you have a great Lord. I mean, it's, it's, it's a
- 1:06:09really pleasing. I remember I saw a long time
- 1:06:11ago. It's beautiful, but I, I
- 1:06:13absolutely love that as well. I really do.
- 1:06:15And and it reminds me of the Hadith formula.
- 1:06:16Not many anyway. He talks about the three types
- 1:06:18of believers, the one who out of fear, they worship Allah fear
- 1:06:21and one out of love, they worship Allah and, and hope for
- 1:06:24a transactional reward. And then the third type of
- 1:06:26believer who worships Allah because he sees a lot whether
- 1:06:29you're. Not worthy of worship.
- 1:06:30You know, and, and, and, and that is obviously where we
- 1:06:32aspire to be. The fact that a believer, you
- 1:06:35mentioned earlier on in in the discussion right towards the
- 1:06:37beginning about having no hope of return or even no expectation
- 1:06:41rather of, of any sort of return when you do something.
- 1:06:44And I think, and I mentioned this as well, to say it over the
- 1:06:47years, like the the the, the, the the perfect abode and the
- 1:06:52reward for a true believer, a Muttman in the afterlife would
- 1:06:56be to be able to worship our last one to Allah completely at
- 1:06:59peace with nothing. If Allah gave you absolutely
- 1:07:03nothing but time and space and and comfort to worship him in
- 1:07:07that should be sufficient. Mammoth Kalamala's son when he
- 1:07:10was put in the prisons, he said Hamdallah Shukla Hamdallah
- 1:07:13because I've been given a space where I can worship Allah and
- 1:07:15disturbed. I mean, if if I'm not at the
- 1:07:17level where I know I can feel happy in that environment, then
- 1:07:21I'm not where I need to be. If someone said to you have a
- 1:07:24day locked in a room with no phone, no social media, you're
- 1:07:27just a prayer mat, am I happy? I might think, you know, I need
- 1:07:30this in my life right now. Or I might think, God, I'm bored
- 1:07:33and you're look, you're playing with the threads on the on the
- 1:07:35prayer mat and you're thinking of anything to do except pray.
- 1:07:38So I think that is a good litmus test for us to understand where
- 1:07:40do I stand spiritually? Where do I need to be and where
- 1:07:43have I come from? Yeah, and fortunate that lost
- 1:07:46panel tile has actually, you know, kind of commanded us to
- 1:07:48pray five times a day, right? There's a reason behind this.
- 1:07:51Yeah, there's a reason behind it seems.
- 1:07:53On track. Yeah, exactly.
- 1:07:54That's exactly what it is. Right, it keeps consistency.
- 1:07:56Yeah, it keeps you on the mortar way correctly.
- 1:07:58Yeah, yeah, maybe. Distract I.
- 1:08:01Stand there's. Like any Margarita pieces.
- 1:08:04Or to be honest, I really was thinking like how can I use the
- 1:08:07word Margarita and it's just not working.
- 1:08:10I have, I have. Sorry, I'm just going to say so
- 1:08:12I got given 3 words. I've used two of them, the last
- 1:08:16one I didn't have to use. I got given Chai which I've at
- 1:08:18some point. Well if I haven't it, my chives
- 1:08:19got cold now. So that's the words that your
- 1:08:21wife gave you said. Butterfly, which I said it did,
- 1:08:23you hear me say, but. No, you said a bird, you said I
- 1:08:26said. A bird?
- 1:08:26Did I say a butterfly? A bird.
- 1:08:27Bro. OK, I meant you lose a bird and
- 1:08:30then I got given a third word which shall I say it or shall I
- 1:08:34let you guys guess. It was it a bad word or?
- 1:08:36I had today for lunch. I had a tuna and cucumber
- 1:08:39sandwich. Cucumber.
- 1:08:44Yeah. I don't know.
- 1:08:45How could I bring in cucumber? I'm talking about God.
- 1:08:47Yeah, I know, I know. To be honest, it's.
- 1:08:49It's your words. You had Moto E Margarita.
- 1:08:51Moto E Margarita and Thai and no Karachai.
- 1:08:55Yeah, I think I'll, I'll use the Karachai some, you know, some of
- 1:08:58them. I'm talking about Jenna or
- 1:08:59something. Yeah, all the Karachai.
- 1:09:01And then you can. You mentioned that, no?
- 1:09:02Yeah, so I'm good. Take the I'm good.
- 1:09:04Very difficult, to be honest. These things I'm very bad at.
- 1:09:06I'm bad as well. I'm.
- 1:09:09You know what they're saying from this conversation has been
- 1:09:11so far. If I can share Charlotte, I know
- 1:09:16you have the best character Charlotte, but you know like
- 1:09:20repentance. It's it's like if we if we feel
- 1:09:23like we have an opportunity to repent.
- 1:09:27That's Tophi from Allah as the widget and he still loves you.
- 1:09:31It's an opportunity and he if we, like you said, at least we
- 1:09:34acknowledge like we're sinning. This is that.
- 1:09:36Me, in fact, is a blessing assent.
- 1:09:38Yeah, so, so we should also be grateful for that, that we can
- 1:09:41acknowledge what we're doing is wrong and the path to come back
- 1:09:43to Allah is through and Charlotte over and we take that
- 1:09:46path. But sometimes I feel like I I'm,
- 1:09:50I'm, I don't know, I may be guilty asking this question.
- 1:09:52Perhaps it's right to ask it now.
- 1:09:54Maybe we can lean towards Karbala.
- 1:09:57Is it enough to repent to Allah at times just to him directly or
- 1:10:04can we take another puff? And I say this why?
- 1:10:07Like for example, we mentioned Allah we read and you mentioned
- 1:10:13that was like it's referenced. Every soon I.
- 1:10:21Started with. And he put.
- 1:10:25It somewhere. Else 214 we say, you know, he's
- 1:10:30the mercy sent to mankind. But then we, we hear this on our
- 1:10:34every single year, every every Muharram, every year after year,
- 1:10:40Muharram after Muharram. And who is that?
- 1:10:47How can we use Hussein to come back to Allah?
- 1:10:51That's the final question from me.
- 1:10:52That's a nice question. And I think this is how bringing
- 1:10:55Karbala into Royal Hassan cast today.
- 1:10:58I need to think a bit about this actually.
- 1:10:59Look, you know how? How does it say that again?
- 1:11:01How can how can Hussein bring us towards?
- 1:11:03Yeah, because we we like if we're talking about broken
- 1:11:07hearts, our hearts break for about some year after year.
- 1:11:10We remember like he's. Yeah, we say you're Ahmetullah
- 1:11:13Halwasa. Well, yeah.
- 1:11:14Baba Najaatullah. Imam Hussein broke the hearts
- 1:11:16of, you know, the all the prophets.
- 1:11:17Yeah. Big.
- 1:11:17Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's, you know, the, the the one
- 1:11:21iconic thing about Imam Hussein out of all the imams.
- 1:11:24I mean, all the imams have been treated unjustly.
- 1:11:26They've all been shahadah. They've all suffered, right.
- 1:11:30There is emphasis from all our imams, all of them about Imam
- 1:11:33Hussein, starting from the prophets of the Imam of the
- 1:11:36Imams. Yeah, emphasizing on actually
- 1:11:39showing the brokenness of your heart over Imam Hussein.
- 1:11:42Because that tear, it's a sign of sincerity.
- 1:11:45Remember the last I talked about?
- 1:11:47Remember when I said, for example, that you know when you
- 1:11:50fall down and you slip and you can turn that slip into a sedja
- 1:11:55when you actually can go to the mosque with a broken heart?
- 1:11:58There are narrations that tell us that, you know, a sin is much
- 1:12:02better for the believer than self admiration, that a believer
- 1:12:07is far better. I'm not saying sin is fine.
- 1:12:10They're not saying sin is fine. They're saying that if your
- 1:12:13obedience to Allah, subhanahu tada makes you admire yourself,
- 1:12:16makes you enter the mosque thinking that I deserve
- 1:12:18something from Allah, I'm praying on time and you should,
- 1:12:22I am reciting Quran and we should, I am doing this.
- 1:12:25You come to God with expectations.
- 1:12:27Oh God, I'm doing this for you. You do something for me, right?
- 1:12:30Whereas the sinful, when he comes to the mosque, he
- 1:12:33acknowledges, oh God, I don't deserve anything from you.
- 1:12:38I've done a terrible thing, no matter how small the sin is, but
- 1:12:41I've disobeyed you. It's not about how big or small
- 1:12:43the sin is. It's about how big or great.
- 1:12:46A lot is the one I disobeyed. When someone comes to the mosque
- 1:12:50in this way, there's a narration from Mama Ali Salaam Alaimira
- 1:12:53Mamunini would say an example of two people, 1 is a fast, a
- 1:12:57corrupt person, 1 is a muttman. They both enter the mosque.
- 1:12:59They come out of the mosque. The muttman, the believer is a
- 1:13:02corrupt person. The corrupt person is a
- 1:13:04believer. How so?
- 1:13:05He would say that the believer would enter the mosque obliging
- 1:13:08God, thinking that oh God, I deserve something from you,
- 1:13:11liking what he is doing. But the fastest, the corrupt
- 1:13:14would go to the mosque and would actually have his heart broken
- 1:13:17before Allah. Subhanahu attallah.
- 1:13:19Same thing for those who attend the majalis of Abu Abdullah.
- 1:13:21Someone like myself who thinks, you know, I haven't sinned,
- 1:13:24right, But I have been attending the majalis for so long.
- 1:13:27I obey Allah, I talk about Allah, I recite the Quran, I
- 1:13:30pray on time and I do all that. I don't sin, blah, blah, and I
- 1:13:34admire myself and I feel like, yeah, I'm coming to the
- 1:13:36medalist. I deserve the first row.
- 1:13:40Whereas someone else who might be sinful coming and sitting,
- 1:13:44you know, in the far dark corner, shedding tears for ABA
- 1:13:48Abdullah with a broken heart, acknowledging that I'm in a
- 1:13:53place where actually I probably don't deserve to be.
- 1:13:56What a lost Pano Tada gave me the blessing to walk here and
- 1:13:59I'm shedding a tear for the one who reminds me of God or the one
- 1:14:03who actually on the day, on the last day, on his last day, final
- 1:14:07moments, you will express words of love.
- 1:14:11I mean, how it makes you understand that look, life can
- 1:14:16get really hard, really difficult, traumatic.
- 1:14:21A man is seeing his children being massacred in front of him.
- 1:14:24A man who knows that his family and his women will be left
- 1:14:27without men. Do you know how that feels
- 1:14:29right? A man who is actually seeing
- 1:14:32other people about to kill the only hood of Allah on earth, the
- 1:14:37only grandson of the holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi.
- 1:14:40And he would remind them and he would ask him to shed tears for
- 1:14:43them for them. What kind of love is this that
- 1:14:46reminds you of the mercy of Allah Subhanahu ta'ala?
- 1:14:48Where in this hadith he would say to thou would oh thou would
- 1:14:50of those who are turning their backs against me, know how I'm
- 1:14:53waiting for them, opening my gates for them, waiting for them
- 1:14:56to come and knock my door. They would die out of longing
- 1:14:59for me to see how much I love them.
- 1:15:01Imam Hussain would shed tears and tell his people, what are
- 1:15:04you about to do? Stop that.
- 1:15:07That reminds you of the mercy of Allah.
- 1:15:09Subhanawatah, right? That reminds you of actually how
- 1:15:13some people in the final hour of their lives, they had a sincere
- 1:15:18moment with God. He had a sincere moment with
- 1:15:21Allah. If you see the trajectory he was
- 1:15:23taking, I mean, now Allah never put us in that position where we
- 1:15:26stand, you know, against the Imam blocking the way of the
- 1:15:28Imam. That's that's very bad.
- 1:15:30But still that turned her from someone who would have been with
- 1:15:36Omar bin Saad in the bottom layers of hell to someone who's
- 1:15:42a companion of Hussein that for hundreds and hundreds of years,
- 1:15:48millions and millions of followers and lovers of albeit
- 1:15:50Alam Salam, they go and visit him, they bow to him and they
- 1:15:54tell him be Abbey and tower Umi. May I my parents, everything I
- 1:15:59have be sacrificed for you. One moment of returning to Allah
- 1:16:03Subhanawatara. That's TOBA.
- 1:16:05That's what TOBA does. That's where Mohammed Hussein
- 1:16:08Salaam Alayhi reminds us, Mohammed Hussein, actually,
- 1:16:11look, when I was saying fear and hope and you said a beautiful
- 1:16:13word about I worship Allah because he deserves Allah tells
- 1:16:18us in the Quran so much about love, love.
- 1:16:22He says for Sophiet Allahu be Coleman, you hib boom, where you
- 1:16:26hib buna Allah saying, you know, if you don't obey the command of
- 1:16:29God, Allah will bring the people who will, who love him and whom
- 1:16:33he loves. Allah will bring the people whom
- 1:16:35he loves and who love him. Love, love, love.
- 1:16:38Well, Larina amanu ashadduhab bandela and those who are
- 1:16:41believers, they love Allah more intensely.
- 1:16:44Love. There's so much emphasis on
- 1:16:45love. That's that's the message that
- 1:16:48we need to focus on, right? And Allah says very clearly in
- 1:16:53kuntum tahibun Allah fatabioni you Habib kumallah say or
- 1:16:58prophet, if you were lovers of Allah, if you loved Allah,
- 1:17:01follow me and Allah will love you.
- 1:17:05Remember when I said you know attention to God, recognizing
- 1:17:09God will bring sincerity, will bring love.
- 1:17:13That love will bring this sincerity.
- 1:17:15This sincerity will make Allah subhanahu watahala love you.
- 1:17:19When Allah loves you, Allah selects you.
- 1:17:22This is where you move from Mukhlis to Mukhlas.
- 1:17:25A devoted person to a selected person talks a lot about the
- 1:17:30selected people, about Yousuf. This is where we actually
- 1:17:36deflect from him evil and indecency, because in the home,
- 1:17:42in Abadin and Mukhlasin, he was one of our chosen people.
- 1:17:46This is our belief of Alabama. When they were like that, when
- 1:17:50they were people who are sincere.
- 1:17:52I can tell you now, look Amir al Mummini in Salam Alayhi, he did
- 1:17:57this strike in Khyber, in Hazab, sorry, right, He did that
- 1:18:01strike. But so many companions of the
- 1:18:03province of Ali, Ali, Ali, Ali al Salam also struck in battles.
- 1:18:06Also special about Ali. That level of devotion, that
- 1:18:11level of devotion to Allah, sincerity to Allah, that level
- 1:18:15of recognition of Allah made that strike of Ali be.
- 1:18:19What better than all the acts of worship of all creation?
- 1:18:26How many loaves of bread did Ahlubait give as charity on that
- 1:18:30on these nights? Few loaves of bread?
- 1:18:33How many people in the world have given charity millions of
- 1:18:35pounds? What made the Ahlubait so
- 1:18:39special? Devotion.
- 1:18:41That they would be recorded and mentioned, sent, they would be
- 1:18:45mentioned in a Quran that will be recited till the Day of
- 1:18:47Judgement. What did they do in Namano
- 1:18:50Taimoku? We do it for the sake of Allah.
- 1:18:53We're not looking for anything in return.
- 1:18:55We're not looking for anything out of, you know, thanks or
- 1:18:57anything. We're doing it because Allah
- 1:19:00deserves even much more. We're doing it for Allah,
- 1:19:02Subhanahu Atahallah, right? And Ulbeit.
- 1:19:04This is how they take us to Allah and Ulbeit teach us
- 1:19:07devotion, right? Abdul Bay Salam Alayhi, Imam
- 1:19:11Hussein Salam Alayhi is teaching us that look, if you want to
- 1:19:14love, if you love Allah, if you claim you love Allah and we all
- 1:19:17claim we do. We all claim we do.
- 1:19:20He's saying, well, if you want Allah to love you back, Allah
- 1:19:23obviously loves us. You know, there's a certain
- 1:19:24level that loves us all. We're all his creation and we
- 1:19:26should love the creation of Allah because these are traces
- 1:19:29to him. These remind us of him.
- 1:19:31Remember, I've looked at anything, you know, I haven't
- 1:19:33looked at anything except seeing Allah, except recognizing a lot
- 1:19:35everywhere, right? Everything it will be take us
- 1:19:39there. If you love Allah, follow me
- 1:19:43loving Allah. If you want Allah to love you,
- 1:19:45you need to what follow the path of the Prophet and this is
- 1:19:48another evidence to tell you if you want to reach Allah's love,
- 1:19:51you don't have to worry about, you know, doing so much and you
- 1:19:54know reciting you know that many records or thousands of records
- 1:19:57and so on. Do that obviously, but secure
- 1:20:00the first thing first. Follow the message of Rasul
- 1:20:03Allah. Imam Al Hussein, when he stood
- 1:20:05up, he was saying. I haven't, you know, haven't
- 1:20:09risen or risen except for one purpose, to reform in the Ummah
- 1:20:14of my hassant or my grandfather, right?
- 1:20:18If you love the Prophet, if you love Allah, follow me.
- 1:20:21Those who followed Hussein, they gained the love of Allah because
- 1:20:25they followed the Rasool Allah essentially, or believers or
- 1:20:31people listen to the Messenger of God when he invites you to
- 1:20:37that which revives you, that which brings you back to life.
- 1:20:40That's what Imam Hussein is doing.
- 1:20:42There's an extension of the Prophet in his mission as an
- 1:20:44Imam. He was inviting us to that which
- 1:20:47revives us. When Imam comes to some people
- 1:20:50telling them, you know, support me on the way, one person he
- 1:20:54would say, look Imam, I'm not ready, I'm not ready for death,
- 1:20:57but you can have my horse, you can have my sword, take them, I
- 1:21:01can give them to you. What did Imam say?
- 1:21:05I'm not in need of your horse and sword.
- 1:21:07I'm here to revive you. I'm here to bring you to life.
- 1:21:12I'm here to offer you an opportunity to live the true
- 1:21:15life of honour, of honour of Hezza.
- 1:21:20What do I need your horse for? What I need your sword for?
- 1:21:23I need you. I need you to be revived.
- 1:21:25That was the mission of Mammoth Hussein's to revive people, that
- 1:21:29he's reviving us actually till the Day of Judgement.
- 1:21:32And this was the role of Hussein, central role in the
- 1:21:35trajectory of the message of Rasulullah until Imam Zaman
- 1:21:37appears. This was a central role that he
- 1:21:40actually keeps people in lane right with the engagement of the
- 1:21:45heart, because you need that engagement for sustainability of
- 1:21:48the message. Very.
- 1:21:52Beautiful I. Was saying a very beautiful.
- 1:22:00They took me, I think, to the seven heavens.
- 1:22:02Honestly, I felt like in many ways, you know, we sort of done
- 1:22:06it like a majlis. We had like a lecture.
- 1:22:08Yeah, we laughed. We cried.
- 1:22:10Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:22:11We Allah protected. You I needed that I needed.
- 1:22:14That I see. Me too.
- 1:22:15I think and just the guys at home, just to prove the
- 1:22:19eloquence of our beloved chef. We didn't even tell him.
- 1:22:22I didn't even know, Said Ali brought up about Abdullah and
- 1:22:26and this thing out of the blue and chef delivered words of
- 1:22:31wisdom. I hope.
- 1:22:32Oh my God. Thank you.
- 1:22:33I. Had a lot.
- 1:22:34It's a had a lot. I spent a lot.
- 1:22:37And yeah, sense of shock. And I think I feel like we could
- 1:22:40keep going. There's still so many more
- 1:22:42questions. I don't want to I can see the
- 1:22:44timer. Yeah, I'm waiting for the
- 1:22:46Margarita to come up to nice way.
- 1:22:48I'm sorry, I couldn't. There wasn't any way like there
- 1:22:50wasn't. That was a very difficult
- 1:22:52challenge, you know, No, no smashing, chef.
- 1:22:54And listen, I think we're very honoured and lucky to have you
- 1:22:56and Hamdallah, you're local to us.
- 1:22:58And I encourage everyone online to support the the work of our
- 1:23:01beloved chef on online and on social media as well.
- 1:23:06Is there any last message for for for anyone at home which you
- 1:23:09think is OH? God bless you.
- 1:23:10What I would say is, you know, don't ever give up, especially
- 1:23:14for the youth, right? Don't ever give up.
- 1:23:17You know, there might be challenges you're facing.
- 1:23:20Definitely everyone is facing difficulties in their lives.
- 1:23:22There's challenges that you're facing in your relationships, in
- 1:23:26your life. I don't know, financial life or
- 1:23:28different areas, different areas, right?
- 1:23:29You're not alone in the suffering.
- 1:23:31Everyone in the world like so many people are suffering.
- 1:23:34And Allah tells us this is really what the world is about,
- 1:23:36right? But it's not about the
- 1:23:37sufferings kind of being resolved.
- 1:23:39They're probably some many of them will they will not be kind
- 1:23:41of completely resolved, but it's about your attitude.
- 1:23:44It's about it's about how you right.
- 1:23:46The misery is not in the problems themselves.
- 1:23:49The misery is how your attitude towards these problems are the
- 1:23:52response. See hasn't see how we were
- 1:23:54taught to have this attitude of patience of suburb doesn't mean
- 1:23:57you just wait for the problem to go.
- 1:23:58No, within the challenge, within the pain.
- 1:24:01You keep your resolution. You keep your resolve right.
- 1:24:06You keep you stay adamant on just staying on the right path.
- 1:24:08Do what you have to do. Don't care about the result,
- 1:24:10man. Don't never care about the
- 1:24:12result. Care about what you have to do
- 1:24:14at the moment. Allah will bring the result,
- 1:24:16whether tomorrow or in 100 years.
- 1:24:18Your children will probably see the result, right?
- 1:24:20Don't worry about that. Do what you have to do because
- 1:24:23it's the right thing to do, right?
- 1:24:25And Allah will find you a way. Allah will never leave you.
- 1:24:31Allah will give you help and support if you stand for Him.
- 1:24:35I said keep that in mind. Keep the you know the rebel in
- 1:24:38the Los Pano Tala's will, right? Be content with what Los Pano
- 1:24:43Tala has given you in the things that you can't control, things
- 1:24:46that you control. Do something about it, right?
- 1:24:49Do something about it. You return to Allah every day.
- 1:24:52Even if you don't sin right, you return to Allah.
- 1:24:54You acknowledge that you have shortcomings with Allas Pano
- 1:24:57Tala. You ask him to support you.
- 1:24:59You ask him to support you. If you're sinful, use the sin.
- 1:25:02Be smart, be spiritually smart, right?
- 1:25:05Be obviously adamant on removing and stopping that sin.
- 1:25:08Be adamant. Do do what you have to do so
- 1:25:11that you make sure I don't do it tomorrow.
- 1:25:13That's a sign of sincerity, right?
- 1:25:15I'm going to say a new lecture now.
- 1:25:16Sorry, but but like you know, be sincere about it says there are
- 1:25:216 steps for us still far right. I won't say the whole 6 right?
- 1:25:24But the first is to be really regretful about it.
- 1:25:26The second is to promise you will not do it again, right?
- 1:25:29The third is actually to return the rights of the people or, you
- 1:25:32know, in case you've done any mistakes to people, it's right,
- 1:25:35it's OK, acknowledge it, right? And give them their, you know,
- 1:25:38whatever you owe them. And there's other levels which
- 1:25:42are a bit, you know, more probably more difficult, but you
- 1:25:44can, you can have a look at it. So just keep that relationship,
- 1:25:48never give up. It's all ups and downs.
- 1:25:50That's how life is. And we need to accept that this
- 1:25:52is how life is. But we need always, always,
- 1:25:55always right to say I can get better, Never say, well, it's
- 1:26:00too late for me, it's not for me and so on is actually for you.
- 1:26:04If Allah didn't want us, if Allah didn't want to forgive us,
- 1:26:07he wouldn't have opened the door of Toba.
- 1:26:09He wouldn't have opened the door of the still far right.
- 1:26:11The door is there for a reason. Stay in touch with the loss of
- 1:26:14Hannah Wattala. Every moment, every moment less
- 1:26:17useful. I pray that Allah helps me as
- 1:26:19well. You implement.
- 1:26:20Of course, my last Contana reward you absolutely
- 1:26:24abundantly. Inshallah your family protects
- 1:26:26your community and I hope inshallah we see you again soon.

- 1:26:32bless you and support is really beautiful what you have honestly
- 1:26:36I really thank you. For your germs, your advice, the
- 1:26:38words of wisdom. And I think you gave us a lot to
- 1:26:40reflect on that for sure. And This is why.

- 1:26:44conversations. Thank you so much.
