Kanawha County Commission deadlocked over who should fill a vacant seat after Lance Wheeler stepped down to run for West Virginia Senate. President Ben Salango pushed Jared Page, a Republican candidate with local judicial and mayoral experience, but Commissioner Natalie Tennant blocked the motion. Instead, the commission will ask the Republican Executive Committee to submit three names by August 17th.
