- 1:18Speaker 6: do the macarena to any intro you have.
- 1:20Speaker 1: There wasn't the macrea. What I did was I moved
- 1:22Speaker 1: my arms from side to side. I pushed them forward
- 1:25Speaker 1: forward and then did another side to side. So I
- 1:27Speaker 1: was actually going for old school in sync with the
- 1:29Speaker 1: intro when I was dancing to it.

- 4:32Speaker 1: at the DHL Stormers soon. Anyway. This is your show,
- 4:36Speaker 1: flash Drive KFEM ninety four point five. You know what
- 4:38Speaker 1: I need to get the DHL Stormers in man, because
- 4:40Speaker 1: there's a big match coming up. This weekend, you do,
- 4:42Speaker 1: and we have to be at that home quarter. We
- 4:45Speaker 1: have to come through. We have to make sure I'll
- 4:47Speaker 1: get Pietrice on it and we can chat to some
- 4:48Speaker 1: of our our players again. The last time John Dobson
- 4:52Speaker 1: was in it was a blast.
- 4:53Speaker 4: I had so much fun.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Yes, yes, you two had a lot of fun together,
- 4:57Speaker 1: you and we were John Dobb.
- 4:59Speaker 6: I know it was sorry if you felt excluded at
- 5:03Speaker 6: I never wanted to make you feel like that, but
- 5:05Speaker 6: sometimes you know the.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Way the band just goes.
- 5:08Speaker 1: He was looking at you in a certain way. I
- 5:10Speaker 1: was like, okay, you too, calm down.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know if you should have been there
- 5:14Speaker 4: for that.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw it. I saw everything, and I think
- 5:17Speaker 1: you may have sworn once on air, But it doesn't matter.
- 5:19Speaker 1: I don't know why who's counting?
- 5:22Speaker 4: I actually, I actually think that that's a myth, is it? Yeah?
- 5:26Speaker 4: All right, we can't prove anything.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Oh, I hope some of the players are available because
- 5:30Speaker 1: I would like to ask. I mean, if Dobb was
- 5:32Speaker 1: available to chat to us sometime before the quarter, I
- 5:34Speaker 1: think it'll be cool to ask about Chasing Colby coming back.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, like a lot of our boys Volculo
- 5:40Speaker 1: is coming back, like there's a lot of the old
- 5:42Speaker 1: school Owen's coming back, and I'm so excited about that
- 5:44Speaker 1: because it's going to be I think it's better to
- 5:48Speaker 1: try to get your season ticket man, you know, you
- 5:50Speaker 1: know what I mean.
- 5:51Speaker 6: And now that we're speaking about asking some questions, that
- 5:53Speaker 6: means I need to have some in the back burner
- 5:55Speaker 6: because we do know that Cassidy froths for a left
- 5:59Speaker 6: of field question session.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Did you just a third person is off?
- 6:04Speaker 4: Is that a problem?
- 6:05Speaker 1: Did you?
- 6:06Speaker 4: Maybe?
- 6:07Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 6:07Speaker 6: Carl is asking, maybe Cassidy did, and Cassidy hopes it's
- 6:12Speaker 6: not a problem.
- 6:13Speaker 1: No, it's not. No, no, tell Cassidy is cool?
- 6:15Speaker 6: Okay, Cools going to get some quazies ready then please do.
- 6:19Speaker 1: It's gonna be fun and I think it's it's great.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Petrice also told me that, you know, usually when they
- 6:26Speaker 1: come around, they drop tickets off, and I know people
- 6:28Speaker 1: are looking for tickets for this because we're want to
- 6:30Speaker 1: fill the DHL stadium, of course, so I'm going to
- 6:33Speaker 1: try and get some some of those tickets to you.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Let's see what they say. Maybe tomorrow, maybe the next day. Well,
- 6:38Speaker 1: we'll see. We'll put in some plans for you. But
- 6:40Speaker 1: it's a massive game and there is a massive opportunity
- 6:43Speaker 1: for you to win today. That is with clicks. All
- 6:47Speaker 1: I'm looking for is we all have those things that
- 6:49Speaker 1: we've added to a cart, but now we wait. Sometimes
- 6:53Speaker 1: you do it deliberately. Sometimes it's just a matter of like,
- 6:56Speaker 1: you know, I'm not sure if I want it, but
- 6:57Speaker 1: I want to put in the cart in case it's
- 6:59Speaker 1: sold out. That's the type of things we do. Sometimes
- 7:01Speaker 1: we have a toxic relationship with our carts, and I
- 7:04Speaker 1: want you to reveal what is in there, So get
- 7:07Speaker 1: yourself a click sep. Make sure that court's available in
- 7:10Speaker 1: a screenshots iner my way, and then we can have
- 7:12Speaker 1: a conversation about it, like what's in your court the moment?
- 7:15Speaker 6: Oh gosh, I think what's in my cards? It's definitely
- 7:20Speaker 6: moving stuff.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Oh, moving stuff, because because apparently rumor has it. I
- 7:25Speaker 1: don't want to say anything, but there's a rumor, right, Okay, no, no, no,
- 7:29Speaker 1: that's fine. I won't. I won't get into that. If
- 7:32Speaker 1: you're uncomfortable, I don't want to do that.
- 7:33Speaker 4: There's no such thing as uncomfortable.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Okay, Well, yeah, you're going to be moving, so moving
- 7:39Speaker 1: stuff right, okay, is and.
- 7:42Speaker 6: Just miscellaneous things vacuum bags, storage.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Boxes, okay, good, yes, all right? What is the perfect
- 7:49Speaker 1: housewarming gift for you? If? If you can, I get
- 7:53Speaker 1: you an ood diffuser.
- 7:54Speaker 4: I've got so many diffuser things.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Do you have ood diffuser?
- 7:58Speaker 4: You know what?
- 7:58Speaker 6: I wouldn't mind ood even like some incense and stuff.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Ood incense, incense. Sorry, I just I'm obsessed with ood
- 8:07Speaker 1: house small that's okay, that's what I love, the oodhouse
- 8:10Speaker 1: most Okay, cool, we will put that in the list there. Yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 1: I love a cookbook, okay, cool, Roger, that can I
- 8:17Speaker 1: tell you? And I'm not embarrassed to say this. In
- 8:20Speaker 1: my court the moment is the brand Glute they have.
- 8:23Speaker 1: They have gummies. It's Glute Gummies.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Glute gummies.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's what's in my court the moment. They're
- 8:30Speaker 1: just chilling there. It's just so convenient, you know, to
- 8:33Speaker 1: have those gummies available to you. Yeah, yeah, because you
- 8:36Speaker 1: usually glute does the protein water that I like as well, Yes,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I know that. Yeah, but now I got the gummies
- 8:41Speaker 1: in my cort and they're just sitting there, and it's
- 8:43Speaker 1: fine even if it's one thing in your cart. Just
- 8:45Speaker 1: show it and hopefully I can give you a two
- 8:48Speaker 1: and a half thousand cash back for you to get
- 8:50Speaker 1: those things out of the court and into your house
- 8:52Speaker 1: as soon as possible. So take that screenshot, give me
- 8:55Speaker 1: a name and idenom a keyword, clicks and you could
- 8:56Speaker 1: be a winner with clicks, feel good, pay less on
- 8:58Speaker 1: KFM ninety four point five and seas apply. It's Will
- 9:03Speaker 1: Linley from Off Campus. I don't know if you're watching
- 9:06Speaker 1: that series at the moment, but how boys got a
- 9:08Speaker 1: track on that soundtrack. I'm very, very proud of him.
- 9:11Speaker 1: It's Will Lenley on your flash drive KAUFM naty four
- 9:13Speaker 1: point five except quick convo? Shall we? Now? When I
- 9:16Speaker 1: say convo, I do have some things that I want
- 9:18Speaker 1: to share in terms of the new snippets that you
- 9:21Speaker 1: may have. Must have been working very hard. I'm proud
- 9:23Speaker 1: of you, I really am. But I don't know if
- 9:27Speaker 1: you know what South African airports you know those parking lots?
- 9:30Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 9:30Speaker 1: Do you know how many people leave cars in our
- 9:32Speaker 1: parking lots? It's becoming a thing now. In fact, South
- 9:34Speaker 1: Africa's busiest airports are dealing with a strange problem abandoned vehicles.
- 9:37Speaker 1: According to Axa Airport's companies South Africa, around fifty cars
- 9:40Speaker 1: have effectively been abandoned at Cape Town International Airport, while
- 9:43Speaker 1: between forty and fifty are sitting untouched at oor Tumbo.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Some owners reportedly leave the country and never return, while
- 9:50Speaker 1: others involve stolen vehicles. They just dumbed them at airports
- 9:53Speaker 1: before they hoiit. Airport officials say some cars have been
- 9:56Speaker 1: sitting there since twenty eighteen, gathering dust, flat tires, massive
- 10:00Speaker 1: parking balls. One owner reportedly returned after more than a
- 10:03Speaker 1: year away and face the parking fee close to eighty
- 10:07Speaker 1: thousand RAND. Eighty thousand, Yes, that's what we usually pay
- 10:12Speaker 1: over a weekend, but that's amazing for a year. I'm kidding. Sorry,
- 10:16Speaker 1: you know it close. But they should do something with
- 10:19Speaker 1: these cars men, you know, give them to give them
- 10:22Speaker 1: to charities, foundations, et cetera. It's been way too long now.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I know it's someone's property, but do something with them.
- 10:28Speaker 1: It's like the vehicles there that I'm sure a foundation
- 10:30Speaker 1: can use. Just give them a little bit of a
- 10:32Speaker 1: magnetic logo plucker on the car, check of the cars
- 10:35Speaker 1: and order roadworthy hy to the foundation. I think it'll
- 10:38Speaker 1: be great.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, I mean.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but have you ever parked your car for longer
- 10:44Speaker 1: than two days?
- 10:45Speaker 6: No, because I don't want to pay eighty thousand rand
- 10:47Speaker 6: when I come back.
- 10:48Speaker 4: You're bro my wallet, yeare.
- 10:52Speaker 1: According to a new global study, it found that South
- 10:54Speaker 1: Africa ranks second in the world for people wanting to
- 10:58Speaker 1: become self employees. According to the research, more than ninety
- 11:02Speaker 1: two percent of South African respondents said they'd rather work
- 11:05Speaker 1: for themselves than have a traditional boss.
- 11:07Speaker 6: I mean it makes sense you leave a nine to
- 11:09Speaker 6: five for a twenty four seven.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Yeah. However, I like the entrepreneurship I do. I like
- 11:16Speaker 1: that feeling. I think it's great. We need to innovate
- 11:19Speaker 1: in that way. And I love the fact that people
- 11:22Speaker 1: are very creative, you know, it's super creative.
- 11:25Speaker 6: Now that you say that, it's really interesting that we're
- 11:27Speaker 6: number two and if the stats, you know, if they
- 11:30Speaker 6: stay there.
- 11:30Speaker 4: It would be.
- 11:32Speaker 6: Quite beneficial for schools to make business studies a compulsory
- 11:39Speaker 6: subject because so many people are looking into going into entrepreneurship, right,
- 11:42Speaker 6: so they need skills and things to go to further that,
- 11:45Speaker 6: especially if they don't want to study. At least they've
- 11:47Speaker 6: got some sort of foundation to.
- 11:49Speaker 4: Go off of.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I would love because I mean business studies. It sounds like,
- 11:53Speaker 1: you know, just there's a curriculum there, but I really
- 11:57Speaker 1: would love you know, I know schools have more market days, yes,
- 12:01Speaker 1: but like I would love the school to have the
- 12:03Speaker 1: stance of all right, here's the scenario. And let you
- 12:07Speaker 1: say the school, the teacher acts as sars and they
- 12:10Speaker 1: get a number for their business at work. There they
- 12:13Speaker 1: know how much money they need to start, how much
- 12:15Speaker 1: money they're going to need to give the saws, how
- 12:17Speaker 1: much money they need for capital in order to start
- 12:19Speaker 1: and actually make just to have those simple things that
- 12:22Speaker 1: sometimes and this includes me, you get clapped over their
- 12:25Speaker 1: head with later in your life and you realize, oh
- 12:27Speaker 1: my word, why did I start a business here? Exactly
- 12:30Speaker 1: how am I supposed to survive? But there are a
- 12:32Speaker 1: lot of little corners that I think people don't understand
- 12:34Speaker 1: are available to them to make sure that they are
- 12:37Speaker 1: successful in that business, even though they are contributing to
- 12:40Speaker 1: the Sothaffrin economy through paying sas, but at the same
- 12:43Speaker 1: time just getting those foundations in So even if you
- 12:46Speaker 1: don't want to start your own business, you have that
- 12:48Speaker 1: acumen to ask the right questions when you are faced
- 12:51Speaker 1: with dealing with businesses and you actually have that pivot
- 12:55Speaker 1: if you need to, we all fault the pivot in
- 12:57Speaker 1: twenty twenty. Yeah, and I think a lot of people
- 12:59Speaker 1: also want to be content creators on top of what
- 13:01Speaker 1: they're doing. There's where the business model gets installed, where
- 13:05Speaker 1: you can protect yourself. So I'm all for it, like
- 13:08Speaker 1: a proper focused, practical business. Just call it like a
- 13:13Speaker 1: little I'm gonna call like a little micro course in
- 13:16Speaker 1: the middle of your schooling that ye will teach you
- 13:18Speaker 1: those sorts of things. I think they'll be so beautiful
- 13:21Speaker 1: to have it because I know, like some schools have
- 13:22Speaker 1: the driver's license training in there. How about business license training?
- 13:27Speaker 1: That would be great so we can continue that culture
- 13:29Speaker 1: of entrepreneurs in this beautiful country. I think it'd be
- 13:32Speaker 1: so much fun. It'd be great. I like that man
- 13:34Speaker 1: look at us called look at us chatting to David Mania.
- 13:37Speaker 1: We need to have a conversation on the show again,
- 13:39Speaker 1: a friend. I have ideas. We need to get this
- 13:42Speaker 1: out there. But that's what I found while you were
- 13:44Speaker 1: working very hard today. And I also found out there's
- 13:48Speaker 1: another little tidbit that you need to know about size
- 13:50Speaker 1: Kaya is the new company who's going to be running
- 13:54Speaker 1: the National Lottery, and I wanted to find out more.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Yesterday said I should get them on They were happy
- 13:59Speaker 1: to have conversation with me today. I wanted to find
- 14:02Speaker 1: out how things are changing because I'm particularly excited about
- 14:05Speaker 1: the live draws for the lottery coming back. That's coming
- 14:08Speaker 1: back by the way, early June. Plus I'm excited about this.
- 14:12Speaker 1: I'm hearing about this cascading jackpots, so which means that
- 14:16Speaker 1: it doesn't roll over for like nine weeks. Yeah, apparently
- 14:19Speaker 1: every month there will be a certain cascading jack which
- 14:23Speaker 1: means if you don't just if you don't hit all
- 14:25Speaker 1: the numbers, the next level will hit it, or the
- 14:29Speaker 1: next level the closest to Basically, that's what it sounds like.
- 14:32Speaker 1: That's why I need to get them on the line
- 14:33Speaker 1: and have a conversation with them. That's a little bit later.
- 14:35Speaker 1: On your flash drive it is KFM ninety four point
- 14:38Speaker 1: five Women No Can It's called the Great Divide on
- 14:43Speaker 1: the flash drive and KFM ninety four point five. Now,
- 14:46Speaker 1: winter has a way of bringing out all the cravings.
- 14:49Speaker 1: You know this. Do you find that you crave more
- 14:51Speaker 1: stuff in winter? Uh yeah, duah, Oh yeah, dah. What
- 14:55Speaker 1: is yr da?
- 14:56Speaker 4: It's like obviously no toy.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a but okay, what are you craving more
- 15:01Speaker 1: of in winter snacks? Like? What type of snacks? Like?
- 15:05Speaker 1: Like for some reason, chocolate is like right on the
- 15:08Speaker 1: top there. And this is where I'm going with this,
- 15:10Speaker 1: because we like the comfort with the delicious comfort, the indulgence. Okay,
- 15:16Speaker 1: and then at the same time there's cake. But baking
- 15:19Speaker 1: a fool dessert is a lot of effort, especially after
- 15:21Speaker 1: a long day, and that is why Cadbury have come
- 15:24Speaker 1: out with special additions. There's a whole range bringing you
- 15:27Speaker 1: all the dessert flavors you love instantly, with no mixing
- 15:32Speaker 1: bowls required. Your birthday's coming up, My Birthday's coming up.
- 15:37Speaker 1: We need this because you can get the vanilla and
- 15:40Speaker 1: sprinkle's taste of the Cadbury Dream Birthday Cake. Enjoy the

- 16:04Speaker 6: then not necessarily, but normally what.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Does an activity fill They have to do with the
- 16:09Speaker 1: cake you want.
- 16:10Speaker 6: Because if I'm doing like a swim, right, like, if
- 16:13Speaker 6: I'm going and all of my friends were going to
- 16:14Speaker 6: do like a cold plunge, then the chances are I'd
- 16:18Speaker 6: opt for something that's a little bit lighter.
- 16:21Speaker 1: This is intriguing. I never cake is a science to you,
- 16:25Speaker 1: clearly the biological science. Sure you can also enjoy, and

- 17:00Speaker 1: of June in Cassidy's absence, and then on the fourteenth
- 17:05Speaker 1: as well, I know that is a Sunday, but still
- 17:08Speaker 1: that Friday, that Monday, that's acceptable too. But there we go.

- 17:25Speaker 1: would call in winter less Zekaiah Holdings, Congratulations, here we
- 17:31Speaker 1: go coming home. So tell me what changes will the
- 17:35Speaker 1: players of this brand new National Lottery experience on the ground.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Thanks to these partnerships that you've created, we're.
- 17:42Speaker 7: Really taking the lottery to next level. And more than
- 17:44Speaker 7: anything else, I think we're leveraging off high end technology
- 17:48Speaker 7: that's going to translate into the user experience.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Now what you can do is on our.
- 17:53Speaker 7: Website you can go, it's going to be datalyzed. You
- 17:56Speaker 7: can put in your own numbers at your own leisure,
- 17:59Speaker 7: and it's going to generate a QR code. And all
- 18:01Speaker 7: you do is you take that QR code to the retailer,
- 18:04Speaker 7: you scan it, and it's going to print out your tickets.
- 18:06Speaker 7: It is literally that.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Easy scan it. I love it. And that's a whole
- 18:10Speaker 1: new campaign on its own whole new campaign.
- 18:14Speaker 7: And what we're also driving towards Carl is we're tired
- 18:18Speaker 7: of this jackpot fatigue. And you know now the you
- 18:21Speaker 7: know there's a rollover, it's eighty millions, one hundred millions,
- 18:24Speaker 7: one hundred and thirty million, and you're like, okay, is
- 18:26Speaker 7: anybody ever going to win? So we've consulted with some
- 18:29Speaker 7: you know, best practices around Doberly and we've played around
- 18:33Speaker 7: the mechanism to say, how do we make the jackpots
- 18:36Speaker 7: more frequent and still slightly bigger? Right, So we have
- 18:41Speaker 7: come up with a methodology of reduced odds. So we
- 18:45Speaker 7: are now coming in from day one giving the South
- 18:48Speaker 7: African player a twenty percent increase chance in winning those jackpots.
- 18:55Speaker 7: And if the jackpot hasn't been one in specific gaming categories,
- 18:59Speaker 7: we force it.
- 18:59Speaker 1: We can need it.
- 19:00Speaker 7: So if you had said jackpot with six numbers and
- 19:03Speaker 7: there's no winner in that category, we take that same jackpot,
- 19:06Speaker 7: for example, we roll it down to a category of
- 19:08Speaker 7: five numbers before we just roll over and into a
- 19:11Speaker 7: six or nothing. But at a specific time we will
- 19:14Speaker 7: say this is that somebody's got a win, we keep
- 19:17Speaker 7: on rolling it down.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I am very excited about that. That sounds so good,
- 19:23Speaker 1: and yes, we love a big jackpot. Of course, it
- 19:27Speaker 1: really bolds excitement. You know, I've done I've actually done
- 19:29Speaker 1: several moments on my show where I've even consulted somebody
- 19:33Speaker 1: and said, hey, if I win the one hundred and forty million,
- 19:36Speaker 1: what should I do with the money? You know, and
- 19:38Speaker 1: it's it's been so cool. But I think with extra chances,
- 19:40Speaker 1: I think it just really bolds I think a lot
- 19:43Speaker 1: more excitement. But let's be honest, there's always some skepticism
- 19:46Speaker 1: around large gaming operations, especially when you come in, you know,
- 19:52Speaker 1: after we've experienced somebody else for the longest time, and
- 19:54Speaker 1: now you come in, obviously there's going to be a
- 19:57Speaker 1: little shake from a lot of the players. So I
- 20:00Speaker 1: want to know how you are responding to some of
- 20:02Speaker 1: these real concerns about the fairness, the integrity, and you
- 20:06Speaker 1: know how these things circle. Only people who do this win,
- 20:09Speaker 1: Only people from here seem to win. This is natural
- 20:12Speaker 1: psychology with any platform where you get a chance to win.
- 20:15Speaker 1: So how have you responded to that? As Cizikayah?
- 20:18Speaker 7: So one thing, Carl, when was the last time do
- 20:21Speaker 7: you think that we actually had a live lot of
- 20:23Speaker 7: draw in this country, a live lot to redraw.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Yeah sure, I IDG. Yeah, I don't remember. Actually, yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 1: it's been a long time. Yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 7: So it was probably last seon in twenty sixteen, and
- 20:36Speaker 7: we're bringing that back. And part of the rational is
- 20:40Speaker 7: exactly that we have to build the transparency and we
- 20:44Speaker 7: have to show the South African players that there isn't
- 20:48Speaker 7: somebody sitting in a dark room that determines who's winning
- 20:51Speaker 7: or who's not winning. That when you bring it back
- 20:54Speaker 7: on live television across nationally, we want South Africans to
- 20:59Speaker 7: walk the journey with us.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Thank you. It spent ten years. We need to see
- 21:02Speaker 1: one of those shows sometime, you know, nine pm. I
- 21:05Speaker 1: want to see it happen. I want to see those
- 21:07Speaker 1: balls drop, you know what I mean. I want to
- 21:09Speaker 1: see it. Yes, cannot do Powerball.
- 21:11Speaker 7: We're going live?
- 21:12Speaker 1: Are you going live?
- 21:13Speaker 5: Yes?
- 21:14Speaker 1: I can? I can. That is my name.
- 21:16Speaker 7: I was about. I might to be tempted to invite
- 21:19Speaker 7: you to studio.
- 21:20Speaker 1: The only caveat though, is if you're on.
- 21:22Speaker 7: Studio with us, you may not be able to play
- 21:24Speaker 7: on that day. But let's see because it's part of
- 21:25Speaker 7: the transparency, you know, we have had those safeguards and
- 21:28Speaker 7: play absolutely but yeah, absolutely looking forward to the second
- 21:32Speaker 7: of Funny.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Thank you very much for your time today. We're excited
- 21:35Speaker 1: about it. It's an all new national lottery with Sizekaiah Holdings.
- 21:39Speaker 1: If you want to get involved, be a part of
- 21:41Speaker 1: the build up. The countdown is on and the launch
- 21:43Speaker 1: of South Africa's newest lottery experience. If you want to
- 21:45Speaker 1: find out anything, just go to Sizekaiah Holdings. Their website
- 21:48Speaker 1: is s I z e k h A y A
- 21:52Speaker 1: dot co dot z. That is Sizekaiah dot Co dot ze.
- 21:55Speaker 1: And please remember Sizekaiah is licensed and regulated. Players must
- 21:59Speaker 1: be eighty older. Play responsibly. It's only a game weekdays
- 22:03Speaker 1: feet to seven pm. A flash drive.
- 22:06Speaker 2: With Carl Weak on KFM ninety four point five.
- 22:10Speaker 1: It's crazy, Why boy, what you do to me? It's
- 22:12Speaker 1: on your show flash drive m ninety four point five.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Remember the other week I gave you, I said, I
- 22:19Speaker 1: pulled out some conversation cards and I wasn't happy with
- 22:21Speaker 1: the conversation cards. I do want to make sure that
- 22:24Speaker 1: we answer some of those questions and I want your
- 22:26Speaker 1: help on this. On zero two nine four five zero
- 22:28Speaker 1: nine four zero. It's one question, and let's get some
- 22:34Speaker 1: answers in on the WhatsApp line. That's all I'm looking
- 22:37Speaker 1: for now. It's literally not a conversation card. It's a
- 22:41Speaker 1: flash card because it's the flash drive, which just makes sense.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Of course, usually flash cards are used for other sorts
- 22:46Speaker 1: of things, but for this purpose, a conversational flash card. Hey,
- 22:53Speaker 1: this is great. Karen Ann's also yes, I can also
- 22:56Speaker 1: ask her this question. This is great, this is amazing.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Can I just give a litle disclaimer?
- 23:00Speaker 6: I want you to in my experience of you asking
- 23:04Speaker 6: me just these styles of questions, I think it's best
- 23:08Speaker 6: to speak off the top of your head and not
- 23:10Speaker 6: think about it too much, because then you overcomplicated for yourself.
- 23:15Speaker 1: The only way we need to overthink is that if
- 23:17Speaker 1: there is a swear word in our response as a
- 23:19Speaker 1: radio presenter, of course, can we think about that, because
- 23:22Speaker 1: if you just said off the top of your head,
- 23:23Speaker 1: then I worry about you and the language you use.
- 23:26Speaker 4: I am, excuse me so innocent. Of course, I've never
- 23:31Speaker 4: ever ever had a swear word in my brain.
- 23:34Speaker 1: Of course, you've never, never, ever, Karen Anne too, never
- 23:38Speaker 1: swears ever, never heard a swear, never ever never, because
- 23:42Speaker 1: you're not really a swearer. Are you lever in the
- 23:45Speaker 1: confines of your own home? No?
- 23:47Speaker 4: Okay, we've never thought of so words ever.
- 23:50Speaker 1: So this is just going to be so just to
- 23:52Speaker 1: give you a little bit of clarity. I just think
- 23:54Speaker 1: that going back to conversation cards is so great because
- 23:57Speaker 1: you learn so much about people and we need to
- 23:59Speaker 1: get to know each other more.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Yes.
- 24:01Speaker 1: In fact, there's an episode four forty before forty is
- 24:07Speaker 1: about friendship, and one of them is actually getting closer
- 24:10Speaker 1: to people because I find that we often avoid it
- 24:12Speaker 1: because we believe that social media is enough. We have
- 24:16Speaker 1: parasocial relationships with our own people, and that are not
- 24:19Speaker 1: in celebrities because we think, ahmen, I have them on Facebook,
- 24:22Speaker 1: I have them on Instagram, They're my bra But are
- 24:25Speaker 1: they have you asked them the question? Have you asked
- 24:27Speaker 1: them a question? Like this? Flash squad number one on
- 24:31Speaker 1: the flash drive and KFM ninety four point five is
- 24:35Speaker 1: what is a belief? You unlearned too late? Sorry? I
- 24:43Speaker 1: had to because I wrote these because I saw the
- 24:46Speaker 1: other conversational call. I'll use some of those two, but
- 24:48Speaker 1: I just wanted to use one of mine first. What
- 24:50Speaker 1: is a belief? That you unlearned too late. Feel free,
- 24:54Speaker 1: you know the WhatsApp line. But I'm gonna ask my
- 24:55Speaker 1: crew first, my people, Pietrice, I.
- 25:00Speaker 8: Was forty four years old when I unlearned this, and
- 25:03Speaker 8: this is that you have to make your bed the
- 25:05Speaker 8: moment you get up.
- 25:08Speaker 1: We're all trained, you know.
- 25:09Speaker 8: There was that thing that went around that you know,
- 25:11Speaker 8: it's so important to make your bed. It's the first
- 25:13Speaker 8: thing that you're accomplished for the day. Yeah, No, waking
- 25:16Speaker 8: up is your first accomplishtion of accomplishment of the day.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Oh, not making your bed. Every parent is shouting at
- 25:24Speaker 1: the radio room.
- 25:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I just told my child, I can I can hear
- 25:31Speaker 1: it like from here? Can you?
- 25:33Speaker 9: All right?
- 25:34Speaker 1: All right? So, so you unlearned it too late, which
- 25:37Speaker 1: is which means you're still making your bed in the morning.
- 25:38Speaker 8: Right, No, I've stopped. Now I do it before I
- 25:43Speaker 8: leave home.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Go hold on. If you are a younger individual, can
- 25:46Speaker 1: I say that that, Yeah, you're still need to make
- 25:49Speaker 1: your bed because that is that your first it is
- 25:52Speaker 1: your first sort of principle in respecting yourself. And I
- 25:56Speaker 1: know you're gonna lay in it later anyway, because that's
- 25:58Speaker 1: what that's what my excuse was the most of my
- 26:00Speaker 1: But I think to start your day with a little
- 26:02Speaker 1: bit of a task completed, not accomplishment. A task completed
- 26:06Speaker 1: is important. That's why please make your bed? Do you
- 26:08Speaker 1: know that I gave my son literally a book called
- 26:11Speaker 1: make your Bed? And I was gonna put this book
- 26:14Speaker 1: down now because of what you said, goodness, uncle, sorry.
- 26:21Speaker 6: A belief, a belief, a belief that I've had to unlearn, so.
- 26:25Speaker 1: A belief that you have unlearned. Okay, but like it
- 26:28Speaker 1: was stuck. So when I say too late, basically when
- 26:31Speaker 1: you were a little older, that's all.
- 26:33Speaker 6: That's all the whole okay. Oh everything I know in
- 26:37Speaker 6: my life is controversial. You don't have to respect your
- 26:40Speaker 6: elders like respect. No, hear me out, hear me out.
- 26:45Speaker 6: Respect is earned. Respect is earned. And for so many
- 26:49Speaker 6: of us, we are disrespected daily by aunties and uncles
- 26:54Speaker 6: and cousins. And they just told, ugh, you know what
- 26:58Speaker 6: I can And it's like, you know what, No, thank you.
- 27:02Speaker 6: I don't know you from a bar of soap. I
- 27:04Speaker 6: know you through this person that gives you no right
- 27:07Speaker 6: to treat me like this. Because now I must go
- 27:09Speaker 6: home and I must set and think about my worth
- 27:11Speaker 6: and my values.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Okay, so so your kids once again, all right, you
- 27:17Speaker 1: know I'm talking to you directly now. It is still
- 27:20Speaker 1: very important for you to respect everyone, all right. It's
- 27:23Speaker 1: just it's very important, Okay, even if you've just gotten
- 27:26Speaker 1: to know them, just make sure that you are respectful.
- 27:29Speaker 1: That is very important, all right, because two people in
- 27:32Speaker 1: my team, uncle and Auntie, just completely shattered the foundations
- 27:38Speaker 1: of what we teach our kids. Thanks a lot.
- 27:40Speaker 6: You don't have to hug that Auntie if you don't
- 27:42Speaker 6: want to, though, or that Uncle just saying.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Or except that nats that vis come here. My boy,
- 27:52Speaker 1: you're Karen Anne.
- 27:56Speaker 5: Ooh, I think I'm gonna. I love my parents and
- 28:02Speaker 5: I think we.
- 28:03Speaker 1: All have you need to.
- 28:08Speaker 5: I think I think I was. I was quite I
- 28:11Speaker 5: think in my late teens when my when when something
- 28:15Speaker 5: happened and I realized my parents can also make mistakes.
- 28:19Speaker 1: And it was.
- 28:20Speaker 5: Something that I never that I could never acknowledge because
- 28:24Speaker 5: in my eyes they.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Are these perfect human beings. Of course, and they are,
- 28:27Speaker 1: but it was like.
- 28:31Speaker 5: Eye opening moment they are also humans and they can
- 28:35Speaker 5: also and will make mistakes. And I like, in my mind,
- 28:39Speaker 5: I and I.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Still do, but they also are.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Yeah, they make the human beings to they're not the
- 28:47Speaker 1: super du Yeah, pillars of society. Just give me a
- 28:50Speaker 1: second now, just dear kid, alright, your parent is doing
- 28:53Speaker 1: there the best they can, and I want you to
- 28:56Speaker 1: focus on them and just make sure that you are
- 28:58Speaker 1: respecting them. And yes, they make mistakes, but they're going
- 29:01Speaker 1: to do whatever it takes to make sure that those
- 29:03Speaker 1: mistakes are learning moments for you. They your appearance, they
- 29:06Speaker 1: love you. You're like immediately breaking up planning. I am
- 29:12Speaker 1: why I'm doing flash cards now, just like reversing so fast.
- 29:16Speaker 6: But listen, we've gone around the room, yes, but we
- 29:19Speaker 6: have not completed the circle.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Yes we haven't.
- 29:21Speaker 4: No, so I'd love to hear yours.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Your adult friends, right, will destroy all of the principles
- 29:28Speaker 1: of what you're trying to raise your kids with in
- 29:31Speaker 1: one setting. And that's that's not my belief that I've like,
- 29:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna learn that fast. We are not going near
- 29:40Speaker 1: my son again.
- 29:41Speaker 4: Don't discipline them in front of us, because we'll be like,
- 29:43Speaker 4: that's a lie.
- 29:45Speaker 1: No, I think you know. So in terms of I
- 29:48Speaker 1: do think that there is something very very important, and
- 29:52Speaker 1: I think there's going to be so many there's so
- 29:56Speaker 1: much information around healthman, there's so many things, and you're
- 29:59Speaker 1: going to have so many reputable sources about health, and
- 30:03Speaker 1: there are people that are going to come into your life.
- 30:05Speaker 1: And I think what's very important, all right, no matter
- 30:07Speaker 1: how much you revere this person, just make sure when
- 30:11Speaker 1: they give you something, don't just run with it. Do
- 30:13Speaker 1: your own research with it. Because sometimes you trust someone
- 30:16Speaker 1: wholeheartedly and they say do this, do that, and you're like, okay,
- 30:20Speaker 1: i'll do this. Then you go do it and it's
- 30:22Speaker 1: not for you because you trusted them wholeheartedly and you
- 30:24Speaker 1: didn't actually put yourself in the situation and see if
- 30:27Speaker 1: it works out. So I would say there's always been
- 30:30Speaker 1: this absolute like, if someone's there and you respect them,
- 30:34Speaker 1: you take that on. But I would say, I think,
- 30:36Speaker 1: do your own research and see if it's actually for
- 30:39Speaker 1: you before you blindly just accept what this person is
- 30:42Speaker 1: saying about health, about wealth, about finances. Just make sure
- 30:47Speaker 1: that what they're saying to you they meanwhile it is
- 30:49Speaker 1: actually for you. First. Yeah, because I've made so many
- 30:53Speaker 1: mistakes running from a person I revere doing something and saying, look,
- 30:58Speaker 1: this is not working the way as well as they
- 31:01Speaker 1: said it would work, so I need to test it
- 31:03Speaker 1: for myself. So I would say that's what I learned
- 31:06Speaker 1: way too late. And now I'm on this path with
- 31:09Speaker 1: forty before forty the podcast and just individually just to say, hey,
- 31:12Speaker 1: I'm I'm going to do things just that'll that'll be
- 31:15Speaker 1: tailored to me. So they'll meanwhile, I'll take some of
- 31:19Speaker 1: the teachings from them, but I'm going to apply it
- 31:21Speaker 1: in my way that'll be suited to me. That's all.
- 31:24Speaker 4: You can't hear, but I am clucking.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Right, wowser. Okay, that's the first question done. I will
- 31:33Speaker 1: be taking a few of your answers. Don't worry on
- 31:35Speaker 1: the WhatsApp line. It is a conversation after all, flash
- 31:37Speaker 1: cards and that question was quite simple. You know, what
- 31:40Speaker 1: is something you unlearned, a belief you unlearned too late?
- 31:45Speaker 1: It's tesre you gotta be in case you missed it.
- 31:48Speaker 1: I started a very new journey on the flash drive
- 31:52Speaker 1: with conversation cards I'm calling flash cards. And it's a
- 31:55Speaker 1: simple question, but I think it really brings out so
- 31:57Speaker 1: many great stories, as it did with Petrice and Karen
- 31:59Speaker 1: and Cassidy and even myself. Just what is the belief
- 32:03Speaker 1: that you unlearned too late. I just wanted to find
- 32:06Speaker 1: out a bit more from you. Here's one.
- 32:08Speaker 7: So what I unlearned as an adult is that you
- 32:11Speaker 7: don't have to finish everything that's on your plate.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Now here's golden. But that's also something that I learned
- 32:19Speaker 1: recently and I loved it. I actually watched this video
- 32:22Speaker 1: and this gentleman is saying why. It's because it was
- 32:26Speaker 1: so punitive at the time. Not finishing what everything's on
- 32:30Speaker 1: your plate was becoming a punishment, like, yeah, you know
- 32:33Speaker 1: you're wasting, don't waste. I think maybe that's why I'm
- 32:36Speaker 1: so cautious about wastage now on every front, because yes,
- 32:41Speaker 1: it's good in one way, but on the other way,
- 32:43Speaker 1: you don't have to overeat. Yeah, sometimes someone over dishes,
- 32:46Speaker 1: or even you over dish. You've got like three garlic
- 32:48Speaker 1: rolls on there, and you're like, I must finish this plate.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Love that one very powerful? What about this?
- 32:56Speaker 10: The one thing I've learned too late to unlearn? The
- 33:00Speaker 10: lady is like, it's tradition. I mean really, somebody started it.
- 33:04Speaker 10: So it doesn't mean you have to go with a.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Or oh, my brother, Maurice prow sure you see, this
- 33:15Speaker 1: is why we're doing this because it's true. How often
- 33:18Speaker 1: do we feel I'm going to say it, around Christmas
- 33:21Speaker 1: time there's anxiety, you're aron, I need to have my
- 33:25Speaker 1: whole family over, I need to have the big lunch.
- 33:27Speaker 1: We need to do all of the meats. You don't
- 33:30Speaker 1: need to waste like that as well. You understand what
- 33:31Speaker 1: I'm saying. Yeah, and it's like, no, if you break tradition,
- 33:34Speaker 1: it's not doesn't feel right. You can create your own tradition.
- 33:38Speaker 1: How about that. That's actually what Maurice is trying to say,
- 33:40Speaker 1: is that you are part of tradition, which means you
- 33:43Speaker 1: can add to it. Yeah, doesn't mean you're disrespecting, it's
- 33:46Speaker 1: you're adding to it within your context. Yeah, for the
- 33:50Speaker 1: next generation, that's fine.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Yeah, start your own trends man.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Sure the goosebumps on this. I'm so proud of you.
- 33:57Speaker 1: I love this.
- 33:59Speaker 11: I can't and team. The biggest one for me to
- 34:02Speaker 11: unlearn was forgiveness is not a weakness. It's probably the
- 34:07Speaker 11: most liberating thing you can do in your life, and
- 34:10Speaker 11: it allows you to make great strides forward and realize
- 34:14Speaker 11: you the savior to your life and no one else.
- 34:17Speaker 1: That's from Lincoln. That is so powerful. Yeah, I think
- 34:23Speaker 1: forgiveness does feel. I believe that we we wield forgiveness
- 34:28Speaker 1: as another punative measure. We wield it. We we we
- 34:33Speaker 1: don't give it because we're like, I'm gonna show you,
- 34:35Speaker 1: I'm going to punish you. I'm gonna make you feel
- 34:37Speaker 1: all your feelings so that you can feel as hurt
- 34:40Speaker 1: as I am. Once again, there's that trade off where
- 34:44Speaker 1: we want to punish people, right, and the liberation comes
- 34:47Speaker 1: with forgiveness. May and Lincoln. I love that. Thank you, Zipre.
- 34:51Speaker 1: That was brilliant k message. Then, a belief I have
- 34:54Speaker 1: unlearned is that family is always in your corner or
- 34:57Speaker 1: your biggest supporters. There are actually some times your biggest
- 35:00Speaker 1: hater is strangers can't envy what they don't know. Right
- 35:11Speaker 1: word that was? That was profound? Oh man, that was
- 35:16Speaker 1: that was really really profound. Thank you very much for
- 35:18Speaker 1: sharing that. Wows it. How about this? I learned to
- 35:24Speaker 1: believe that adults have it together. I mean, Karen Karen
- 35:28Speaker 1: Anne was saying that earlier. It's like you have this
- 35:30Speaker 1: idea of like your parents and you're growing up and yeah,
- 35:33Speaker 1: tell you what I'll play one more year something.
- 35:35Speaker 12: That I've learned over the years is that as much
- 35:39Speaker 12: support as you think you have, it is just you
- 35:43Speaker 12: at the end of the day, where you are going
- 35:46Speaker 12: through grief or loss or feelings of unemployment, it is
- 35:51Speaker 12: only you who can deal with those things, dota bacha,
- 35:56Speaker 12: nobody else.
- 35:57Speaker 4: It is just you at your bed.
- 36:01Speaker 1: I learned these things, but I love the fact that
- 36:03Speaker 1: we're voicing them because I think it's going to create
- 36:05Speaker 1: a lot of realizations in anybody who lends an ear
- 36:08Speaker 1: to this conversation. Okay, one more, I.
- 36:10Speaker 13: Think what I unlearned now that I'm forty years old
- 36:15Speaker 13: is the fact that everything has got to be really
- 36:16Speaker 13: linear in your life. So at school and then university
- 36:19Speaker 13: and then you got to work from the bottom up,
- 36:22Speaker 13: and that is the only way that you're ever going
- 36:23Speaker 13: to be successful. That is utter nonsense. You can be
- 36:27Speaker 13: successful at any time in your life. I've literally just
- 36:30Speaker 13: left a job without a backup plan because I believe
- 36:33Speaker 13: that the best is yet to come and I believe
- 36:35Speaker 13: that I'm on the cusp of something better than I
- 36:37Speaker 13: had before. So I've just left macushy corporate job and
- 36:40Speaker 13: I feel like I can take on the world. So yeah,
- 36:43Speaker 13: success is determined when you determine it.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Yep, that's amazing.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Can I can? Am I too old? Can I do
- 36:52Speaker 1: clocking it? Yeah? I'm sorry, I just because that was
- 36:55Speaker 1: very clockable. It was Jenna.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Wish you all the luck as well.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Thank you very much for sharing. This is just part
- 37:02Speaker 1: one of our conversation cards now called flash Cards on
- 37:05Speaker 1: your flash Drive on KF ninety four point five. I
- 37:08Speaker 1: really hope that this and the answers really it touched
- 37:12Speaker 1: you in some way and maybe it made you realize
- 37:14Speaker 1: a couple of things, because sometimes unlearning means that we
- 37:17Speaker 1: get to share so that individuals can unlock some of
- 37:22Speaker 1: the things that they're stuck with as well. So thank
- 37:24Speaker 1: you very much for sharing. I appreciate you. There was
- 37:26Speaker 1: only a question number one. I can't wait for next
- 37:28Speaker 1: week the flash World on KM ninety four point five.

- 38:12Speaker 1: very cool. So I'm just saying no, no single use plastics, no, okay, no,
- 38:21Speaker 1: look after our oceans, our forests.
- 38:24Speaker 4: Reuse, rep what's it reused?
- 38:27Speaker 1: Reduce, reduce, reuse, recycle, all right, and also claim your
- 38:32Speaker 1: own edited back. That's also part of the environment conservation.
- 38:36Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. Hello, Hello, this is this

- 40:00Speaker 3: No?
- 40:00Speaker 1: But there was fun though. It's really cool. It's like

- 40:34Speaker 1: I don't want to think in the car right now,
- 40:35Speaker 1: listening to the radio and recording. Tell tell your kids
- 40:39Speaker 1: that on the horizon we are approaching youth months and
- 40:43Speaker 1: it's always been a project of mine to get something
- 40:47Speaker 1: off the ground, and I've finally made it happen this year.
- 40:51Speaker 1: This pertains to your kids and their favorite radio game.
- 40:55Speaker 1: That's all I'm going to say. I don't want to
- 40:59Speaker 1: spoil all. I don't want to spoil anything, but I'm
- 41:02Speaker 1: gonna say, stay close, watch the space. Listen to the space.

- 42:16Speaker 1: I would have got all your answers. By the way,
- 42:19Speaker 1: it's always like that when you're not in the focus point.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Oh man Yaku, well done, Flasher Chabby once again, my friend.
- 42:25Speaker 1: You're back here tomorrow, same time, same space and your
- 42:27Speaker 1: flash drive KFM ninety four point five. It's Olivia Dean,
- 42:36Speaker 1: so easy to fall in love on the flash drive
- 42:40Speaker 1: in KFM ninety four point five. I have told you
- 42:42Speaker 1: that my podcast is officially out. It is something that
- 42:45Speaker 1: I wanted to make and educational as I head toward
- 42:48Speaker 1: forty on the fourteenth of June. There are a lot
- 42:50Speaker 1: of things that I was thinking about and so far
- 42:53Speaker 1: Episode one featured may official French give me some financial
- 42:56Speaker 1: advice and there's a lot to learn in there. It
- 42:58Speaker 1: doesn't matter how old you are. The second one is
- 43:01Speaker 1: about parenting. I want to be the best dad possible.
- 43:04Speaker 1: There are some things that you have to think about
- 43:06Speaker 1: and I think sometimes as parents we parent with our
- 43:09Speaker 1: trauma and it was great to have Nicky Bush unlock
- 43:12Speaker 1: some of those truths and readjust a little bit. And
- 43:15Speaker 1: then episode three, I needed it to be around what
- 43:18Speaker 1: is a very big focus for everybody, no matter what
- 43:21Speaker 1: their age, it is their health. It is about what
- 43:24Speaker 1: we are doing intervention wise when it comes to being forty.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Is it a matter of us going to get certain
- 43:31Speaker 1: tests done, checking our blood work, peptides. There's a lot
- 43:34Speaker 1: of things that I think confuse a lot of people
- 43:37Speaker 1: at this age and any age. So that's why I
- 43:39Speaker 1: brought in doctor Ben what a lovely guy. Is a
- 43:42Speaker 1: phenomenal gentleman who is always open, a straight shooter, which
- 43:47Speaker 1: is that's what I like about him. You know, it
- 43:48Speaker 1: doesn't sugarcoat anything. I'll tell you how it is. But
- 43:50Speaker 1: more important, he is one of the best, in fact,
- 43:52Speaker 1: if not the best. Then the Bizz and I needed
- 43:54Speaker 1: to sit him down and chat about all things health,
- 43:59Speaker 1: especially around turning forty very very soon. Now, I do
- 44:02Speaker 1: want to remind you that this podcast episode is for
- 44:06Speaker 1: general informational purposes only and doesn't constitute medical advice that
- 44:09Speaker 1: is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Always consult your personal qualified healthcare professional before making any
- 44:18Speaker 1: important health related decisions. Here's a snip of episode three
- 44:23Speaker 1: of forty before forty featuring doctor Ben Couldsea thirty forty Hacks,
- 44:28Speaker 1: eight Expert.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Friends, brand new and one brand news series forty four
- 44:35Speaker 2: forty with Carl Wasty.
- 44:38Speaker 1: My next guest is a specialist in high performance sports science,
- 44:43Speaker 1: human movement, longevity wellness. His name is doctor Ben Could
- 44:46Speaker 1: see Her. Doctor Ben for short, is the type of
- 44:48Speaker 1: friend that always gets the questions that the Brye and
- 44:50Speaker 1: I have to invite him in. Here. Has coached and
- 44:52Speaker 1: guided elite athletes, corporate warriors, applying rigorous scientific data to
- 44:57Speaker 1: training and recovery very important, ensuring that the human machine
- 45:01Speaker 1: operates at its absolute peak without breaking, even when it
- 45:05Speaker 1: turns forty. Doctor Ben Cole, thank you so much. Thank
- 45:08Speaker 1: you for having me. Are their little bread crumb that
- 45:10Speaker 1: people can look at that should be saying to you,
- 45:13Speaker 1: just go have a look, just give it a check
- 45:16Speaker 1: very quickly.
- 45:17Speaker 9: The body is beautifully designed to give you early warning shots,
- 45:19Speaker 9: right like skin or an injury, or I'm just feeling
- 45:23Speaker 9: a bit more depressed, or I'm sleeping worse.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Whatever.
- 45:27Speaker 9: People don't take those things seriously. You don't wake up
- 45:29Speaker 9: with stage four cancer tomorrow. There's always something along the
- 45:32Speaker 9: way that's been giving you red flags, and you chose
- 45:35Speaker 9: to ignore it. The more we're putting ourselves in an
- 45:37Speaker 9: opportunity to get healthy, you surround yourself with people who
- 45:40Speaker 9: are on the same mission as you start looking at
- 45:42Speaker 9: your diet, you start addressing your sleep, you start taking
- 45:44Speaker 9: exercise seriously, you start getting this health luck that starts
- 45:48Speaker 9: happening with it like you just work up feeling really good.
- 45:50Speaker 9: Oh my god, I'm sorry, happy that I didn't get cancer.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Right.
- 45:53Speaker 9: It appears to be lucky, but it's not. It's you
- 45:56Speaker 9: putting yourself in an environment that luck could find you,
- 46:00Speaker 9: and thus you lived a very long and.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Happy, healthy life. What is a peptide?
- 46:03Speaker 9: A peptide is a chain of amino acids, and it's
- 46:07Speaker 9: designed in a lab to cause a certain cellular response.
- 46:09Speaker 1: So think about it like this.
- 46:11Speaker 9: Amino Acids are letters of the alphabet, So a peptide
- 46:14Speaker 9: is made up of amino acids, as words are made
- 46:16Speaker 9: up of letters.
- 46:17Speaker 1: So a peptide is a word.
- 46:18Speaker 9: So a word is a command. So let's say the
- 46:21Speaker 9: command is build muscle, right, that is what the peptide
- 46:24Speaker 9: is designed to do it. It's a sniper rifle approach
- 46:26Speaker 9: to the problem, not a shut shotgun approach to the problem.
- 46:29Speaker 1: And that's why peptides have risen so.
- 46:31Speaker 9: Quickly in the medical world and in the wellness space
- 46:34Speaker 9: is because the results are so powerful. The problem with
- 46:37Speaker 9: peptides is that they're very poorly regulated.
- 46:40Speaker 1: List enough, let's go now, say for the bits you
- 46:43Speaker 1: miss men go through manopause. Yes, and I'm hearing that.
