Sepsis, a deadly but preventable response to infection, can strike from something as simple as pneumonia or a UTI—making early detection critical. In Kentucky, 104 hospitals joined forces through the Kentucky Sepsis Consortium to slash delays and save lives, now screening nearly every patient in emergency departments.
