- Aaron: Howdy, howdy, and welcome back to Run After Cast, the college football podcast. I am your disconsolate host, Aaron, joined by my two kind-hearted, compassionate, never hit a man while he's down friends, Brian Ryan: What's guys? Aaron: and Chandler. Chandler: Going on, gentlemen. Aaron: And this week, I think I'm at liberty to say one of the most chaotic weeks in college football we've had this season, and in the past last couple seasons, we've been talking about how crazy things have gotten and how anything could happen. This was the weekend of that. So before we hop in it, we do have some raction news to cover. We gotta hop over to the Raction News Desk and talk about everybody's favorite topic. More playoff games. We got a 2014 playoff potentially coming down a pipeline, and potentially sounds like definitively. Chandler: Yeah, we knew it was inevitable. it's a money grab. It's all it is. Simple as that. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: It's more games, postseason, and it's more T V slots. A lot more money. And all these bowl games we know in love, they've, you know, gotten put on the wayside and their importance has dwindled, but now they'll be put into the playoffs. But at the cost of conference championships going to the wayside and no longer being a thing. So All in all, I've always said it and I'll continue to say it, it's not college basketball, it's not March Madness. I don't think anybody outside of the top ten, maybe top twelve, will have a fighting chance ever to win a national championship. And Aaron: Unless it was this weekend. But Ryan: You know, you Chandler: maybe Ryan: Taylor, I am gonna disagree with you, 'cause this is the most time first time ever that I've been like, in football, the better team just comes out and wins the game. But it's almost becoming something like basketball or baseball, where if one of these really top teams I know they're not actually very top teams, they're arbitrarily just put up there, but it's starting to become like if you just slightly overestimate somebody, they end up actually being able to take you down, even these lower teams. the talent's getting spread around more Where even though in this twenty fourteen playoff, the best team probably won't win. I don't think it's good. I don't think you're supposed to play eighteen, nineteen games in a season. But it is interesting that I think these other teams actually have a chance with how mixed up everything's becoming. Chandler: Yeah, but Aaron: And Chandler: it's not like a they win one game and all of a sudden they're national champions. They have to have that same phth luck, for lack of a better word, swing their way for every single round of those playoffs. Yeah, right. Ryan: I understand. I'm not saying the same team, but I'm saying look at this week. Last week, these last few weeks, it's like this team's beating the there's these circles of like Mississippi State beats Missouri, who beats Florida, who beats Texas, who beats you. You know what I'm saying? There's these weird loops of things, which that same thing could happen in a playoff. Not saying the best team wins, but it is getting chaotic. Chandler: Yeah, but how many of those teams are making a playoff? Well I guess now all of them. Yeah. Aaron: Yeah. Now all of Yeah. Ryan: All of them. Aaron: if we if we were looking at it right now, if this was in place this week and we were going into the playoffs, Northwestern would be a playoff team. And as much as I love Northwestern this season and I am down for Northwestern being here, they have a long road ahead of them for all those different games in that bracket. But no, I I do believe there's a world where twenty four could work, as I am on record saying so, but it would require an entire Restructuring of the postseason as well as changes to the regular seasons to make that happen. I think what they're gonna do is they're gonna implement it just like they did with the 12 team. And we're just an exponential where they're gonna say, like, we'll just do that, but with more. And it's just more games, it's gonna make more injuries, it's gonna come down to whoever has the best third string quarterback by the end. And I I I do think it's just like, okay, now we have sixteen uninteresting games of football that have huge repercussions injury wise, less so in player development to get to the end in the system that we have. I I would rather see it go back down to eight or keep it at twelve. But the exciting point is in two years we might have a forty eight team playoff. So that could be exciting. Chandler: And I Aaron: and then we just don't even have a season anymore. We just have playoffs starting from the very beginning. Chandler: Having two rounds of home games though, that's pretty cool. I like that. I've thought since this became a thing that it should have been all the way up through the semifinals. in once the semifinals start, it could be neutral site and national championship neutral site. But the first two rounds of the playoffs like this year should be a home site because that is a great atmosphere to have a home game during the playoffs. So I'm I'm glad it Aaron: Yeah. And they better not touch my Pop Tarts bowl. they better keep that one the same and it should be like a semifinal. Ryan: Well Notre Dame's just gonna opt out so that they can keep their undefeated streak or whatever until this week. But I said all that stuff. I I still don't agree with it. I think it should be a sixteen playoff. I still don't agree with it. I just it's starting to become more viable. Still don't like it. You shouldn't be playing nineteen games. You shouldn't be playing nineteen games. Chandler: I mean I g I get that talent no, I mean Aaron: I mean, here's the thing. Yeah. Chandler: I get talent spread and I get all those things. And I get there's a lot of craziness happening in college football with winning and losing and all this kind different stuff. But at the end of the day, like you guys said, there's gonna be more than sixteen games now in a season. Indiana was sixteen and That's not gonna get you all the way the national championship anymore. You gotta win more games now. And if you're gonna like Aaron said, if you're gonna play your first round game against let's just pick a team, let's say Let's say Miami let's say Georgia plays Arizona in the first round. I mean it's I mean, yeah, maybe Arizona all the you know, stars align, all the things happen. They score thirteen points. You're just at an injury risk for no reason for Georgia. Ryan: Chiller, chiller. Arizona is like this much worse than the number two team in the country. They barely lost to BYU. They're right there. Aaron: We'll be getting into that soon here. But yeah. No, no. And I do Chandler: Maybe I'm not accepting change enough. I don't know. Maybe maybe there should be a twenty fourteen playoff and maybe everyb Ryan: So they're probably like an Indiana or something. Arizona's probably Chandler: maybe Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: an Indiana. Aaron: No, I would say I would say the big thing would be that these middle teams and Arizona, we just saw it this week with Mississippi State. Depth in these teams it is not what we have. We don't have the resources to have the depth of Georgia, to have the depth of Ohio State. So the the prolonged season Only negatively impacts those teams. And are we going to have teams sitting for three, four weeks before? Are there gonna be four teams that just don't play for a month before we get in the playoffs? It's gonna be crazy, and they're gonna have to have a system that makes it fair for the teams in the playoff to remain warmed up, functional, as well as the ability to spread excitement, make it fair. In a competent or in a competitive format that makes it interesting to watch. But do I think they're gonna do that? No. Are they still gonna go forward with it? Yes. And there's the point where we can rage against it and say, We don't want it. ESPN will wipe those shamed tears away with hundred dollar bills. And you know, Peacock will come in and say, Gosh, if people are really upset about this. Do you think we shouldn't make 400 billion dollars on this deal? And they'll go. No, I will listen to the people. It it's not gonna it's not gonna happen. So we just hope for proper implementation. We just hope it they at least get it in a way that it's exciting to watch and it makes the season still viable. The season games still have to matter and we'll have to come up with a way to keep teams from sitting for the last three games of the season because they're all sure in for a 24 slot. And we'll just we'll just have to see how it comes out. That's for news, yeah. Chandler: On the bright side, G five spots are no longer gonna be an automatic bid 'cause they are gonna be in there regardless. Ryan: Yay. Aaron: yeah. Yeah. like I said, when we get to the forty eight team, yeah. Chandler: But they could win because talent's gonna be spread, so that's good. Ryan: Is there still are they still keeping the conference championship winner gets in? Chandler: No, in twenty fourteen there's no more conference championships. Ryan: They need that for the ACC though. a couple of years ago I think Clemson was twenty four unranked and then they won and they got in. Aaron: No, that is that is something I hope they come up with something that Chandler: Conference championships going away is not good. Aaron: they have to they Ryan: I hate that. Aaron: have to keep that from happening. They and I don't see how they are going to be able to. I don't think there's going to be any conference that's going to be fine with it. Chandler: No, 'cause you'd have to you'd have to put it into the playoffs somehow and that would just be like a game that only what six or eight teams have to play. Aaron: Yeah, well, and they could they could do that as they tend to be higher ranked teams, that that's who gets into the bye week or or the the seeded that Chandler: And they just play their conference championship in their in the second round of the playoffs? Yeah. Aaron: Mm-hmm. And then they Ryan: But last year Aaron: they sit till the till the quarterfinals. Ryan: Last year though, both the ACC's teams in the ACC championship were unranked. It's like neither of them would be in the playoffs. It was Virginia and Duke. Chandler: Yeah. And a team that wasn't even in the ACC w championship game was in the national championship game. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Aaron: Yeah. So it like I said, it'll come down to implementation. There is a path that this works. It's gonna require a lot. And a lot. Ryan: It it's gonna ruin everything. It's a way it works, but it's going to be the only thing that matters is this thing. It's like in basketball. You Chandler: It's ranking. Ryan: like the SC tournament, but it doesn't matter. Everyone cares about merch madness. Aaron: Well, and I think I think there is an argument right now that fandoms programs have made the postseason the only thing that matters. I mean, we're seeing coaches get fired from consistent programs, things like that, because it's like, we're not making that next step. And it's like, well, what are we what are we going for now? Like it seems like from that turn, we're already in this place where we have a half commit to the postseason being what matters. But I think it kind of gets spread between conference championship and postseason results because bowl games have stopped mattering. We we have the ability for nobody to show up and play in them to turn it down. And we have to have something that's gonna combine some of these issues into solution. Do I think 24's it? No, but is there a catalyst? Is there enough change that can be done that it could be? Sure. And we'll see. We'll get more updates on it as as we get That implementation, but I don't think they're thinking about that. I think they're thinking about which network can make the most money. The twenty four seed game brought to you by Amazon Prime, like what what does that matter to them? The depends ultra, you know, playoff bowl game. That it's gonna be what matters. So we'll get that, Ryan: Yeah. Aaron: find out, and it's either gonna be a terrible thing, probably will be. Ryan: I think this this is gonna be just as bad as when they changed the movement in Fortnite and allowed you to be able to sprint, slide and climb up builds. Building didn't matter anymore. And that's gonna be it. Football's not gonna matter anymore. They ruined it. It's gonna be that bad. The fall off of Fortnite the best game ever. Aaron: Is it falling off? I thought it was still a poppin'. I'd see commercials for it. Ryan: Yes! No, they ruined it after the movement. OG Fortnite was ruined. You can just climb builds now. They ruined it. Aaron: Well. Where we drop it in the Ryan: Fortunate. Aaron: 2014 seed playoff boys, we'll have to find out next season. But we're gonna break the format a little bit this week because there's too many games to talk about. There's too much. Too much happened. I felt like I was watching four games simultaneously for every game block. And I still felt like I was missing things. I was like, man, there's some crazy stuff going on over here. And I I was really struggling to find which game I wanted to pay the most attention to because it was insane. So the way we decided we would kind of break this down would be the AP 25 poll drop today. We were gonna kind of just go down the rankings, talk about the teams because the movement happened from the big games. So we wanted to talk about that. So let's start off with just running through the list. Let's go top to bottom. We won't stop and do a lot of commentary right now. Just gonna let you know where they're at, and then we'll kind of go back through and pick apart the games, the fine points, and whether we agree or disagree with these placements. And I can tell you we're probably gonna have a lot of disagreements. So number one team in the country, best team in the land, team to wanna be, Miami. Miami's there. Number two, BYU. Number three, Ohio State. Y'all are still here. Four, Notre Dame. Five, Georgia. What a fall off. Number six, Indiana. They're still around. Seven, Ole Miss. Eight, Texas Tech, top ten team. UCLA is number nine. Also, top ten team. Ten Utah. 11 Tennessee 12 Kentucky 13 Alabama 14 Houston 15 Let's Go Iowa 16 USC 17 Wake Forest 18 LSU 19 Texas 20 Florida 21 Boise State 22 Missoul 23 SMU 24 Northwestern and 25 Arizona makes an appearance. We have receiving votes. Who cares about them? They're losers. So let's hop back up. So we have some changes here. I would say not enough changes, but we have some. starting off number one, we had the last. Well, I was gonna say the last game of the night. I fell asleep. I didn't watch the last game. The last game I watched in the night. Miami. Versus FSU, Miami's win here in double overtime puts them in the number one slot in the land. What do we feel about that? Ryan: Okay, I'd like to preface, this would be a very hard week to be a part of the committee. This is the most jumbled up Aaron: y Ryan: bunch of weird circular reasoning you could possibly have. But I still don't don't agree with all of it. This game specifically was insane because Florida was Florida State was winning the whole game, and Children had a bet, and we were sitting there the whole time looking at the buyout on if Florida State was gonna win. But at the end of the game You don't try to go for it. You have like 30 seconds or 25 seconds. You need not go to overtime after Florida after my image went poop boo boop touchdown, boop boo, boop, touchdown. And that part alone is a little weird. But then you catch the Hail Mary holding, you're getting double teamed. Xavier Chaplin from Auburn, you know, over there at left tackle. The left guard touches him, holding, do it again. They did it again. And I kind of think that Deuce Robinson caught that ball. It looked to me like he had possession and he was holding it in the guy's lap. And they said the guy behind him had possession, but he was moving his hands around like this, trying to find the ball. He didn't have possession of the ball. That was Deuce Robinson's hands. I think he had possession. I think he should have caught the ball. Aaron: Yeah. So I I I agree. I do because as I'm a huge proponent of I don't like what if ball, I don't like going back and saying, like, well, this is it. I think he caught the ball. I think this is a game of where the official was to be able to see it. Because if you're looking at that angle, you could have the argument of like who has the ball. I think when they looked at it in the review booth, they took the initial cue of it wasn't a fifty fifty ball. Because his hands came off the receiver's hands came off the ball during the initial part of the catch where the defender did have it. And when it was in his lap, it wasn't as clear. I think they made that call. I don't necessarily agree that it's the right call, but I could see how there was confusion on it. I do think that's a catch. I think that's a touchdown, but it doesn't matter. It happened. FSU's in the position that it happened. You had a bunch of costly penalties that it had to be a Hail Mary to begin with. One of which was absolutely bub kissed that holding call. When they went back and tried to show it, they're like, there's holding here. Wait, just wait till you see it. And we're gonna have to watch it again. Let's let's keep an eye out for it. I think it's somewhere here on the left side. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Aaron: Like it, that was a very, very soft holding call. I hate a soft call, rather a missed call than a soft call. But I think Miami moving up to number one here from that performance. And we talked about FSU had a chance. We FSU was a team with nothing to lose and they really showed it. They came out here and they they they played. Chandler: Alright, so this gabe had no business even going to overtime. Aaron: No. Chandler: I've been a big proponent of just taking points when you have the opportunity to take points. And I understand Aaron: Always. Chandler: that going for it on fourth down, situationally, there's a time, there's a place for it, but a lot of it is just emotion and just like a inflicting your will of like, I'm better than you, I can get a yard, I'm going to get it. But it backfires quite a bit. And this is a game Aaron: Mm-hmm. Chandler: where it did. Mike Norvell twice was inside the 10 yard line and a fourth down went for it, twice got stopped. If you take six points there, the game doesn't even go into overtime and you win. It did Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. Chandler: there's never the drama, there's never anything. And by golly, do I get my seven hundred dollars? So before this Aaron: Yes, yes. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Chandler: game, I bet that Auburn and FSU was gonna win. And the odds were plus fourteen thousand and boy boy after Auburn win was I sweating this FSU game and I was the biggest Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: FSU homer ever. And not taking those points, I mean, it's not good. But no, I think refs had a big impact. Cross the board this weekend. Aaron: They did. They did. Chandler: and I there's Ryan: Mm-hmm. Chandler: a there's a lot of weird calls. The phantom holding call in the corner that you guys talked about with FSU is just it's just not good. It was a there was no holding. Ryan: They want these teams to stay highly ranked so that when they play each other, it's a high ranked matchup. It looks really good on TV, they get money. Stuff like that. You could tell they're pulling for certain people. That's not that good. But at the end of the day, yes, Mike Norvell should have probably learned after the first time take his medicine next time, kick the field goal. Even if they just did that. One of the field Yeah. He should have learned. Chandler: No or the week before. He did the same thing. Aaron: Yeah. Or you know, it the entire time that he's been at FSU and we we've been struggling for a significant win to bolster that team. But I want to turn this back I Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Ryan: But if if he kicked one sorry, sorry. but if he kicked one field goal, they win. They win. And Miami, Chandler: If you get one you still win. Ryan: Miami is actually worse than Florida State. They're the same as like Florida State, Wake Forest, SMU, and Louisville. They're a group of like they're the same competitive teams. And we're gonna move Miami up. And this just reinforces our point. They will not move a team back unless they actually lose the game. Even though your competitive, you're the same as that team. Aaron: And they're outside the SEC and lose. Yeah. And Chandler: And your Alabama. Ryan: They do not care. They do not care unless you lose. Aaron: so that's what I want I wanna turn Chandler: Alabama lost. Didn't l didn't matter. Aaron: it back to. Do we think Miami's the number one team in the country? On should it be number one in the polls? I agree. Ryan: No, super no. Nope. Chandler: I think that Miami is a top ten team for sure. Top five you can have an argument, but a playoff Aaron: I would say an argument for a top five. Ryan: How? Chandler: team a playoff team, sure. Aaron: Well, the argument would be look what happened to everybody else who's in the top five this weekend. We have a lot of bruises and and bumps. So I feel like they did come out with a win. I don't agree with the first placement. I'm not gonna say necessarily we should punish them, but I just don't think they should have gone up. I think they probably should have stayed where they were on the AP poll and say, prove it to us next time. Like you're gonna have to show us another win to to really get you up and over. So Let's go ahead and transition to number two, another big game. We have BYU. Chandler: So BYU I mean, hats off I guess, because I I was giving you a lot of crap, giving you a lot of hate. I didn't have a lot of Aaron: Yeah. I did too. Absolutely. Chandler: belief in you. I didn't think you had played much competition. I didn't think you looked good, like against TCU, for instance. But you go in and you beat the number two team in the country, Notre Dame, who historically has a pretty good defense and this year has had a pretty good defense. I you beat You beat Pretty convincingly. Bear looked great at quarterback. I Aaron: He did. Chandler: I I'm sorry for giving you a hard time. You're number two now. Aaron: Yep. We were wrong. I Okay. Ryan: Yeah. Okay. Yeah, yeah. Sorry, you can go. Sorry. Aaron: So before TL has says his piece. Chandler: And and the the game day kicker kicking for three million dollars, shout out to that guy. Making the three million dollars on the second try and having Cosmos skydive in with the ball, that was pretty iconic. The mountains in the background in the bat in the backdrop of the kick. I mean that was a and they stormed the field on the kick on the kick too. They stormed a little set. It was great. I should have known they were gonna Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: win off of that. Aaron: Show that video to Mike Narvell so he can understand that a kid can sometimes win it for you. But Chandler: In a Spider Man suit. Aaron: I'm gonna go ahead and agree with you. I think BYU being number two here after that win, after this weekend, I'm okay with I I I as much as we gave BYU hell all season, we'll let him take it. I I'm I'm I don't have a counter argument right now to say otherwise. The number two, yep. Chandler: And they beat the number two team. So, like, theoretically Ryan: Well Chandler: on paper, even if they're not actually the number two team, they beat So put there. They listen to your dad. Ryan: Here's what I was gonna say. I think that Notre Dame, they always give them a little something. They always try to help them out. And I'm actually kinda glad BYU got the win here. Even though, like, you watch the end of the game, yes, it was pass interference on Notre Dame. Yes, there was a second left. I don't really care. I think this was good. BYU is kind of the little guy in this situation. They always helped Notre Dame out so much. I'm kinda actually glad they won. I was a little hard on Baer. He didn't do anything special. He's three hundred pounds, he kinda just rolls up and runs in there, falls over people. He Aaron: Yeah, he's he's a quarterback that's bigger than me. like, and I'm not a little Ryan: Yeah, and Aaron: guy. Ryan: Yeah, and he he threw a few nice little darts in there. Actually had pretty good passes, over the middle of this is pretty good. and I think this was great for their program. BYU's not super known at a football program. I know they'll get mad at me. Their D line's very good. I like Satchuala at safety, one of my six four Yeah. Chandler: Thirty line was back there every single play. Ryan: Even in the TCU Aaron: Everyone. Ryan: game, it's like every other time Jaden Craig, it's they sent five at him, he gets sacked, and then they don't the next play and he gets a throw off. It was actually pretty good. But I think this showed that Notre Dame was untested. They were actually terrible. The only thing they had on offense was they had a one on one fade ball down the sideline. And it's like that's not a good thing. you're just hoping that he gets past interference. He did a couple times. That's not really a real offense. Yeah. Chandler: Yeah, every other play, CJ Carr, sideline ball. Ryan: They were just getting shut down on offense and then and then Bear was just running around. So it was good enough. Maybe they were just trying not to show too much and they kinda did slug it out with Chandler: Bear was loose. Ryan: TCU and Arizona. But again, we talked about, there's more talent everywhere. Notre Dame probably wasn't good. I would actually put BYU number one. I think they deserve it more than Miami. Don't think they're the best team in the country. But they're undefeated. They had a better win than Miami. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Aaron: But in terms of the week poll, yeah. The week seven poll, I'm with you. Throw him number one. Nobody else really showed us their medal this week. BYU went up against a top rank opponent, came out on top. That's more than we can say for most teams on this list, except for one more. Chandler: And I th I think it too, like more so this year than most, maybe it is just a okay, the talent is spread across the board. We just need to accept the new reality of like there's no purely dominant team that's just gonna go out and be a twenty nineteen LSU team and just destroy everybody. It maybe Ryan: Well They didn't destroy us in Alabama. You're right though, sorry. Continue. My bad. I digress. Digress mentioned. Chandler: and maybe we just say that okay, all these ranked teams, maybe they should be ranked, and when you have a ranked win, you have a ranked win and you just move on and you don't fine tune and nitpick and all these different things on the little details of like, well that team's actually horrible now, and that team's actually horrible now. Maybe everybody's just just above average in in the rankings, and there's like one or two teams that are like maybe a little bit higher than that, but everybody's just pretty spread across the board and it's just Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: The rankings are showing it. Aaron: Or more teams have power players that they can build programs around and you know they're they're spreading that talent further. We'll see. I think we need more seasons to see it. I think this season we're seeing something. I think we'll s at the end of the season we'll really be able to kind of look back and see what's going on. I think in BYU's case, it's a team that's coming together incrementally each game. I think we doubted them because we didn't see anything from them, very similar to how we felt about Indiana last year, where you're like, once the test comes, they're gonna crumple and then they don't. And then you go, well, maybe I just need to put my bias aside and say, Chandler: In Aaron: and this is we were directly called like a dumb idiot from a BYU player. And maybe he was right. Maybe we were dumb idiots. Chandler: That's an interesting point you bring up too, because I was thinking about that and Indiana did win the national championship last year and they ended up being a great football team. The best football team in the country because they won the national championship. And there was multiple points in that season where I was like, How in the world are they Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: so high ranked when they have the little toe tap in the back of the end zone against Penn State and they were a play away from losing that game and all these little things happened and then all of a sudden they just destroy Alabama in the playoffs, they roll and they beat Miami and win the national championship. I and You're like, well, maybe they actually are really good and they j like th it just kinda just proves that you can't just play flawlessly the whole entire year. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: You're gonna have stumbling blocks. One team's gonna be more prepared than others. You might overlook somebody. Quarterback might be worried about a math test. I don't know. Aaron: And maybe somebody has your counter, maybe, yeah, maybe we have emotional elements to the game. Maybe we have a defensive player that just absolutely is in the head of the one of the offensive players and answer to something. Absolutely. We don't know. maybe your entire Chandler: He might have had bad chicken the night before. Who knows? I they're just kids. Aaron: offensive production is gone for that week and you just don't have anything to do with there. So it is something. So I do think maybe we all just need to take a step back, stop looking at it like it was five years ago. into the playoff structure in the postseason and how these games progress and maybe say we have to look at what we're seeing week to week to form these. And right now, like I said, I I don't mind BYU being on top. we'll have to see as they continue. Chandler: And I do think this is like the most exciting college football has been in a long time. Aaron: A hundred percent Ryan: Mm-hmm. Aaron: like I this is the first time I really feel like I tuned into these games after that first wave. I was like, I don't know what's happening anymore. I don't know who's gonna win this week. I I am blind, deaf, and dumb. And I'm just Chandler: Yeah. Betting is off. Vegas is making money. Aaron: a child sitting there going, wow, look at that play, look at that score, wow. And I'm just having a great time. So let's go down to your neck of the woods. We got number three, Ohio State, a a six inch win. Over Indiana. Chandler: Yeah, I just like in in my prediction, I said y'all said they were gonna blow out, and I was like, I just like this just feels like a game that's gonna be like a three point win. it just there's so much emotion and and story behind this game that the media was hyping up, the all the twenty two win streak, all kinds of different stuff. It's at their place. the rematch of the Big Ten championship, yada yada yada. this is the first game Julian looked really bad in last year. He has to go out and do his thing this year and set the record straight, which he didn't do. But Aaron: No, I was gonna say at least something stay consistent. Chandler: But all in all, especially this week, you just gotta win football games. Like it doesn't matter Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: how it happens. At this point, if we've learned anything, you just have to win and not let the committee have anything to say about it. Like you you win, you're good. And I think this was a great win for Ohio State all in all. I think their offense, like Julian Sain, I don't think, played great. I think this is one of the worst games, if not the worst game he played in his Ohio State career. But they still found a way to win. And last year they didn't. Last year he played pretty similarly, if not a little better last year, and he found a way to win. Now I will say, officiating, I'm not one to home down on, you know, the officials because I've said multiple times I I wouldn't want to have their job because they're kinda like like long snappers, like you don't know their name unless they do something bad. Same thing. I mean, you don't care at all that the refs are there unless they just start making bad calls. You're never like that ref had a great game. That never comes out of your mouth. And I think in this game, there was a lot of just opening up. Second drive of the game, Bo Jackson had the long 30 yard run and gets called back from a holding call. Don't know if there was a hold there. Maybe there was. Maybe there wasn't. Jeremiah Smith continues to never get past inference calls when he's getting form tackled on every single route he runs. I I the play. Aaron: That's fair though. You get one. You get one player to to tackle Jeremiah Smith on a route. That's new rules. Chandler: Leading up to that little wheel route that Cam Calhoun got burnt on, Jermaine Matthews got a rough in the passer call and a targeting call. And he hit him in the chest. And and Ryan: On the stomach. Even lower. Aaron: And b Yeah. Chandler: and the officiating or like the Big Ten media people that you hear the call, they're like, Yeah, you can tell this was in like an incidental hit, he was turning his head, he didn't hit in the head or neck. and they were saying all these things that there's it's not roughing the passer and it's not targeting. They took the targeting off, but you can't take away the the call in the field of roughing the passer 'cause that was what the flag was for. So then they I mean, then they get the opportunity to go down there and have that last play of the game, which again, on that last play the game, blatant holding call that was based too. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: And like Aaron said, he like, Yeah, I thought I was looking like when Nick Marsh put his hands on his helmet, he like, I thought there was a holding call or something and there wasn't. Aaron: Yeah, that's what I when I watched it and he put his hands on his helmet after he turned around. I thought he saw the flag for the holding. Cause I like as the ball's in the air, you see the def the defense with his hands up in the air, he's obviously being held. And like I'm that's coming back. I didn't even really have that much vested interest in where the ball came down. 'Cause I was like, this play's over. And when he turned around, I was like, he sees the flag for the holding. And then it was like, No, he's out of bounds. And I was like, Yeah, but that doesn't matter because it's the holding. And they they it wasn't called. I was like, I was absolutely blown away. Chandler: And Aaron: But in that and that roughing the passer, it wasn't roughing the passer. That was absolutely fine. That was a clean, clean hit. I you hate to see it get thrown. It does. It happens. It just it's such a huge penalty to throw on such a soft Chandler: Yeah. Aaron: instance. Chandler: And there's been a lot of flack on Luke Fehey coming in that game and not looking the best. But I mean it's an impossible situation for him to go in on the road that late in the game, not thinking he was gonna go in that game. I mean, I know you're supposed to like, yeah, one snap and I'm in the game. Great. It's week seven and he's touched the field against ball state and grambling. I mean or it he was probably bl Aaron: Yeah. He's playing Pokemon Go on the sidelines. Like he's like, I got my I got my slippers on. Yeah. Chandler: Playing 2K last night super late. it it's an impossible situation that you're going in that kind of environment in a top five game to just be like, hey, don't mess up and throw this game away. Like become like he did what he could. I think he had the bye week came at a perfect time. I think there's a lot of injuries going around, especially with Julian Saiyan. Aaron: Fingers crossed for you. Fingers crossed that your bye week's better than ours. Chandler: Yes. I mean, you have Kenyatta, Jay Timmins is hurt. You have Edric Houston hurt. You have Julian Saiyan hurt. You have Jacoby Jackson still hurt. You have all kinds of injuries all over the field and this bye week came at a perfect time. Ryan: Did we get a report on Julian Sane? Chandler: So I was talking about this with my wife, and I th I think if it would have been super bad, or something in the shoulder, labrum area, rotator cuff, anything there, I think he would have A, not come back out in full pads still, and B probably got some kind of MRI or scan and stayed back there or gone somewhere and gotten that taken care of. If the trainers would have assessed the situation. So him Aaron: That that's what we were talking about earlier. Yeah. If there was if there was a tear concern where they're talking about, this is this giving us all the indicators of a label tear, any kind of like impact, joint break, anything that is in the tendon realm of tearing, they he would not have come back out. Like they would have had him going for an MRI. They would have been checking him, you know, you you they sent him out in a sling. And with an ice pack and probably changed his socks. Chandler: Makes me mm. Aaron: I assume that we're talking about either probably a hyperextension in the elbow joint, Chandler: Something in the elbow. Yeah. Aaron: an impact, just just a sh impact shock, just something where it's like you're probably still out for a while, you're still recovering from this, but we'll have to see what the official diagnosis is because they're tears can be very sneaky too. He might be feeling fine. I know. First time I got a tear, I got right back up, collapsed, stood up again. It was in my knee, fell down again. I was like, I why can't I stand up? And then two days later, I realized I was in a lot of pain and nothing worked anymore. and you know, it's like maybe that's it, but the athletic staffs know what they're doing. They know how to handle these things, they know what they're assessing. And I think having him back out there shows that we're probably talking like a three to four week time frame at like a high end. It could be worse. We could get further news, but we'll see. Ryan: That's pretty good. because then it's like he might be hurt, not injured. he comes back soon. He's back for team up north. I had a slightly different outlook on this game. Last year, when you played Indiana, you would have missed a field goal, you got stuffed in the red zone a bunch. They played the perfect possible game they could have played. Fernando made every perfect throw all the time. And they barely beat you because you screwed yourselves over so bad. But this year, it's like Indiana's super bad. They're super vulnerable. This is the first time I've seen you be vulnerable all year. Julian Sain, I've been a Julian Sain truther. I've been trying to back him up so much that he's great. It's not just he throws the ball to Jeremiah Smith all the time. He's done it last year. Y'all didn't throw it to his him as much. But this game, he actually played terrible. No offense, Taylor. First time I've ever seen weakness Aaron: He d he did. Ryan: out out of Julian Sain. He didn't play good. He was frazzled even when he wasn't getting pressure. You could see he was kind of seeing ghosts. He was missing throws. He wasn't looking at his reads. But you could tell, when they start reviewing every single catch and every single time someone goes near out of bounds for one team, you could tell the refs are on their side every single time you caught a ball close, every time you almost stepped him out. They would review it for you, not for Indiana. And they were super on Indiana's side. The holding, sure, he might have had his hand here, slightly outside of his. of his peck line, which I guess is tending on the shoulder, but it's like he pancaked him, whatever that's not a holding. And just every single time, flag, flag, flag. They could see on that first drive, I go boom, boom, boom, boom. I'm right down there in the red zone. That like we have to keep ending in this game. And this is one of those games of I'm the better team. I just have to kind of walk out on the field and I'm gonna end up winning the game. And I knew everything went wrong. Literally every single thing that possibly go wrong for you went wrong. You know Hamalhohoun got cooked. Every single time the ball went in the air to Jeremiah Smith, they would just tackle him. And we talked about in this Iowa game. Before that game, he only had one pass interference against him in his entire career. And then they they called one in the Iowa game, I think, and none this game. That was their whole strategy. Try to sack Julian Sain. If the ball goes Jeremiah Smith, double him and tackle him. It worked because you can just play free if you're gonna pass interference him every time. But even with all that, even all the injuries. I know he stepped out of bounds the last play. Josh Hoover was screwing it up. You were shutting them down. But I think Indiana actually has some residual goodness from last year. They have a really good D-line. Nick Marsh and Charlie Becker are very good. And Amari Farrell, the corner, very good. Other than that, not very good. Josh Hoover's not very good. I think they're very vulnerable. I think that game should have been way worse, and y'all were beating them. I know the I liked the Hail Mary to Jeremiah Smith, though. That was funny. But other Chandler: So Ryan: than that. This should have been more and Julian Singh got hurt. Every single possible thing could have gone wrong and you still beat them. Chandler: And then Cam Calhoun, the only reason he was out there is because Jay Timmons got hurt in the second half again. So Aaron: Mm-hmm. Chandler: that was the only reason Jay wasn't out there covering a Nick Marston last play. But on Ryan: Yeah, and Nick Marsh is probably one of the best receivers in the country, and you have a fourth string corner on him. Chandler: The Jeremiah fourth and one call, that is insane play call, where you need one yard and just get forty. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: Jeremiah Smith was asked like how he felt about that play. And he's like, Well, to be honest with you, I ran the wrong route. He's he said that the outside corners were blocking and there was not supposed to be two streaks in the middle. So that's why Julian hesitated because Jeremiah was not supposed to run just a go ball. And he was like, Aaron: Like looks looks in the route, he's like, There he isn't there. I guess he's down at the end zone. I'll throw it there. Chandler: Yeah, so he Ryan: You can see Chandler: so Ryan: he's he's open. he's not op weeball chuck it down there. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: Because then he was like, Well, Ryan: You know, that was hilarious. Chandler: I guess Julian just has faith in me and he's he said I he threw it up so I had to make a play. Aaron: Yeah. You know, absolute cheat code. Yeah. Ryan: Yeah, and there was so much miscommunication. Chandler: That's a hi that's a Heisman moment right there for for Jer Ryan: In the first half, though, Chandler: for Jeremiah. Ryan: there was so much miscommunication on the offense. I don't know if that was a Julian thing as well. There was so many, there was the swing pass to the running back, Julia Jeremiah was blocking, Julian's looking for a pass. There was the Chris Henry one on the left side. But then you mentioned the Jay Timmins thing as well. I think Jay Timmins played out of his mind. He was in every single play. He played so Chandler: He won freshman of the week, yeah. Ryan: good. He's a freshman. It's amazing. You bought stock early. You have his jersey. Wonderful. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: Yeah, it's I mean, he made one of the best plays in the game. The they ran in like a little like just crosser and I think it was Charlie Becker, caught the ball. Jay like got kind of beat, or it wasn't really his man, he just picked up in the zone, tackled him, punched the ball out, and then Ur a little picked it up. I mean that was I mean, he was all over the field. Aaron: Well, y'all won. I have to cut this one short because we're forty minutes in and we're on number three. So, Chandler: The good news is is a lot of our teams we already talked about, we already went through four teams, really. Aaron: We did. We did. Four of twenty-five. We're we're cruising. I'm fine with y'all being number three. I still think y'all look great. You played a real opponent, played a tough team, you came out on top. Keep you there. I'm happy with it. Let's go. We we talked about BYU, Notre Dame. Notre Dame's fourth. Do we think they should have been dropped? Much lower than this. Ryan: I think they were ranked too high before this game. If they were really the number two team in the country, I think this would be an okay spot, but I don't think they're very good. They show they can really do nothing. Kinda got dominated, but then they almost beat BYU. So I don't know. This is one of the situations where I think it's hard to be the committee this week. I would drop Aaron: It is. Ryan: them back further back, but then it's like who do you put in front of them? I don't know. I think they always kind of set them up or like they're there. The Miami matchup's gonna look really good in the future, that it's two really top teams, one and four. Then they're gonna have to drop again, they get the playoffs. They're setting Aaron: It's Miami's second testing team. Ryan: these yeah, they're setting these teams up to look really good and get in the playoffs. Aaron: I I just think if you lose and you're in the top five, you need to you need to be out of the top five. I I just think that's Ohio State, when you guys lost, you were number one, dropped to Texas. How long have you all been out of the top five? Like they kept you out of there for six weeks. And it's like, okay, you won, you got a big win, now you're back up. I think it's a little crazy only drop two, so I think it should be further down. Chandler, you you got you Cool with three or cool with four, or should they be lower? Chandler: I mean I'm cool with it. It's just like you expect them to be up there. I mean, it's it's one of those things where it's like, Yeah, they're just a team that's always up there in the top twelve. Wherever they are, who really cares? They're gonna be there at the end of the season. Ryan: Well, they don't deserve it. It's just we know the commit we've come to acceptance the committee's gonna do it. I'm not cool with it, but Chandler: Yeah, so like cool with it. Yeah. it's whether or not we accept it is is it doesn't matter, because we're not eight people. So I think them dropping two is more reasonable than Alabama not dropping when they lost to an unranked team, Aaron: Absolutely. Chandler: when Georgia loses to an unranked team and they only drop to five. I mean like there's just like things you can argue. But then again, like, yeah, I think Georgia is a playoff team. So but they still lost. Aaron: Yeah. But I think they need the rest of the season to prove it. Chandler: So I yeah. Aaron: because let's move straight into that. I'm gonna say it's Ryan's game of the week. Auburn, Georgia. Georgia loses. How? How did this happen? Chandler: Elijah Melendez. Ryan: I'm so happy. This is the best day, ever. That my whole life, I told y'all. I expect me and my dad expect, if you go into the Alabama and the Georgia game, you should either win or at least be competitive in these games. And I wasn't quite sure if Alex Golish really understood the severity of this game. But before the game, the night before, Bo Jackson, Ronnie Brown, Take You Spikes, and Jason Campbell all separately. hold Alex Golish to tell him how important this game is. So he should realize not only are they telling me this great, but the fact that all of them are just deciding to call me should really rein reinforce the fact okay, this really means something to all these people at Auburn. And I hope you would understand that, because this is the oldest rival in the South. And it hasn't been competitive recently. And last year we got scammed out of winning 'cause we were really beating Georgia and they gave him all the stuff. And and this year, we get to do the clapping cause we won. So thank you. For Kirby Smart Clapping last year, so we can use that. Round of applause for Auburn. But it was just so great. Byron Brown actually played good. We we actually kind of had some offense. They let him run around. Our run scheme seemed more dynamic. He was finding open guys. And like Nimrod had a crazy catch on a guy's back. Like we were just doing ridiculous stuff. Yeah. Aaron: He did. That was a crazy catch. Yeah. Ryan: Christian Neptune threw a touchdown pass, took Aaron: Yes, he did. Ryan: Keyshawn Singleton double coverage. But I still think it was really sloppy. Col Best, our center, is terrible. And we talked about before. Col Ellis played last year and he's SCC talent and he should be playing. And and Cole Best tried to sell the in. He was missing blocks, kept getting holding calls. And on the last drive we had as well, he threw the ball down and it hit our running back. Like when he snapped the ball. And all of a sudden, he was trying to lose us the game that we really need to replace him. Bryce Kane. dropped a wide open touchdown post and stuff. And then we had a few false starts. But our defense just played out of their mind. Elijah Melendez stepped up for Xavier Atkins and he was all over the place. Bryce Bryce Diaz played out of his mind. And we did what we did. I feel like the first couple drives, it almost seemed like we weren't ready or something. We just let him come out and get two quick chunk play touchdowns. And then we scored an offense and it was almost like, DJ Dirk was like, we can actually win this game. I'm gonna try a little. And then he actually just started shutting him down. We were getting him to turn the ball over. And it looked great. It looked like how I think Auburn's supposed to be. And I'm glad we're back to this point. But we need to continue to do it. I think there's things to clean up, but I just think it was so great. We were winning this game. We slowed down on offense like we always t talk about not to do in the second half. And it seemed like it was inevitable. George was going down, they were gonna score and win the game, and we stripped The ball from Ste from from Gunnar Aaron: Start. Ryan: Stockton. And then it was like we're going down the field, Byrum threw the ball and Gabe Harris targeted him and it made a short field goal and Alex McPherson, who's been having all these health problems and stuck around, made the field goal. Like it was just the best ending ever. Like it made me so happy and I'm just so glad that that I got to witness that, you know. Well there's things to clean up. We gotta keep taking it. Aaron: It made me feel bad for all the yes. Yeah. I I felt bad for all the shots I've taken at Auburn. I'm gonna continue to do it though, all season, but not this Ryan: I get it, I get it. Aaron: week. this week I will keep my mouth shut and not disparage any team. However, I will say my theory of what happened in that game was I was telling Chandler this before the recording. I think Gunnar Stockton got a concussion very early on in that game. because that Second quarter, third quarter play from him. He looked wide-eyed and out of it. I think he was Ryan: He always does. Aaron: this is more than usual. He had that big hit very early on. And I think I think he looked, his decision making was terrible. I think he was just going through very mechanical motions, a lot of inaccuracy. And I I just I have a feeling that might be something that comes up. It might be something that's discussed. I don't know, they might not say anything about it because concussion protocol, he played the whole game and he probably shouldn't have. but I think I think he was out of it because that fourth quarter you signed it, kind of came back to it. Like you kind of see the lights come back on. but not to No, I won't take it away from Hey. Ryan: You're trying take this away from us. Byron Brown got Dante Moored. He was laying down, passed down on the field for 10 minutes, and he won the game. Aaron: Yeah, well, I'm gonna say y'all still showed up. Whether or not Docton was concussed, y'all still put points on the board. And I didn't expect that. I saw those first two drives from Georgia and I went, Ryan: Yeah. We've had no offense. Yeah. Aaron: Well, there's that. And then you guys scored. And I said, Got lucky. And then y'all scored again. And then I was like, What's happening? And I continue to watch the game. Chandler: Gunnar Stockton must be injured. Aaron: He must be injured. Somebody check on this boy. Ryan: Like Byron Brown played good. Aaron: He did. He did. Ryan: He threw he ran for a hundred yards. We ran him a bunch. We ran more outside runs. We ran counters. We ran different stuff with Byron running. And even yeah, our receivers were dropping the ball. Chaz Nimra was dropping wide open curls and they caught the crazy one. Bryce Kane missed it. We could have played so much better as well. I see so much more potential. And I'm like, where is this? But then you look, Tennessee just shut down Alabama. Maybe their defense is actually really good. Florida's the hottest, coldest team ever. Yeah. Aaron: Well, we knew we knew they were defensively good. Yeah, we'll talk about them soon. No, I think y'all played great. I like in terms of what we've seen all year out of you. I I no complaints. I have nothing ill to say about yes, there's things that could have tightened up. You made mistakes against Georgia. Perfectly reasonable to do. y'all won the game. You you stayed in it. The play calling stayed at least enough that you're putting up Points. it it was creative. There was different schemes that we haven't seen that we've needed to see. Byron ran when he needed to. He threw when he should have been. And I think there was a good game balance. Like I I don't want to take it away from Auburn. I think y'all deserve that win. You sh keep it on there. Georgia definitely deserve to lose that one. It's very funny that like when we have that whole pregame and it's Kirby Smart, like in the interviews, they're all talking about like before this game, he was saying these boys are really tired and ready for a bye week. But we just think that's just Kirby being Kirby, and then it's like Georgia comes out and plays the worst game of their season so far. and it's like, well, if he he was just telling it like it is. But for y'all to capitalize on that, whatever mistake you can get to beat Georgia. I think this is probably one of their only losses we'll see. And it's crazy. I would have never put money on this game, unlike some people in this show. so Ryan: Chandler did. And I'm glad I got to experience this again. This is what we do historically. Aaron: Now then be Yeah. Ryan: And when I was young, and I'm glad we got to do it again. I never would have expected Byron Brown. I had zero faith going in this game. And he actually played good. I didn't know I would ever say that. They got it done. Aaron: But Georgia's in the top five. They're fifth. Ryan: And we're not. Aaron: And y you're not ranked. Ryan: Yeah. Aaron: I think Georgia probably should have been dropped down after that loss. I think from performance to the loss, Ryan: I think they should have as well. It Aaron: I think they need to go down further. Even though I still think Georgia's one of the best teams in the country. Like, don't get me wrong. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Aaron: But if we're talking week seven results, you you can't have them up here. Ryan: Yeah, and I think they're great, but they need to have some c consistency. Week before, Oklahoma beats Texas, who they decide was the number one team in the country. They're not very good at picking the number one team in the country, apparently. Texas either should have been super far back or they should have put Oklahoma higher. You can't just barely move Texas back and have Oklahoma Chandler: Neither one of those happened. Ryan: unranked. You said what? Chandler: I said neither one of them happened. Ryan: The same and then us, you either need to drop George a super back or you need to move us up. they're either really bad at picking who's up there or the team that beat them's better. But then again, you could argue it's a fluky win. Both of those were rivalry games. I kind of think that's what they're going on. But I get it. I get it. We haven't proved much yet. Aaron: we have Indiana. They sat at six. We talked at length about this game. Are we okay with them being at sixth? I personally Ryan: Think they should be further back. Aaron: I don't mind them anywhere between six and ten. I think they lost the game. You lost against a great opponent. I I do think we don't need the slide. I just think it's hard to say you lose a week and you're still in the top five. I think you have to be in the punishment zone of Chandler: Yeah. Aaron: six to ten, but you don't have to go lower than that. I think six, we could argue is high, but it's in that zone. I'm fine with it. Chandler: I agree. I think they have the talent to be a top ten team. They didn't lose a whole lot. Aaron: There were mistakes, but y they were against a great team too. And Chandler: Yeah, I mean I think six maybe maybe seven or eight, but yeah, yeah, like you said, six to ten's fine. I I think they'll still be again a playoff team. I think they're too well coached. I think Signeti always is gonna have a disciplined team and always a team that can have a competitive shot in every game. he's proven it. He went what, ten and two the first year and the only two teams he lost to are the two national championship playing teams, then went sixteen and the next year. So Ryan: Okay. I think we're being a little too generous. I think Julian St. had poop running down his leg. And y'all played the worst game you could possibly do when Luke Fehey beat Indiana. Indiana lost to Nebraska, was losing to Northwestern. Y'all could not have played worse, no offense. Chandler: One of those two teams is ranked. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: 24th, not sixth. They're the same as the that's what I'm saying. I think. Aaron: I think Northwest it's underranked. I think Nebraska should be ranked as well. Ryan: Not after yesterday, but we'll get to that. But again, I I I don't know. I think y'all play the worst game ever and still beat them somehow. And I just think they're just not awesome. Being a little mean. I'm being a little mean. They're Aaron: I I I I think so. I think I think we're undervaluing here. I think they play well. I think they've played stiffer competition than we're giving them credit for. I think all in all they showed up against Ohio State. They looked there were mistakes. There were things that could be tightened up, but so was Ohio State. I think it was a hard fought game. I I don't want to see them punished for it. I'm fine with it. But I could see the argument to say. That we're still giving credit from last year. And I am a proponent of whatever season you're in is the season that matters. You can't look back and say, well, you know, five years ago we were this. That doesn't matter anymore. I do think you can look back one though and say, like, hey, there's still players that are playing on the same team. We can still give them some credit. So let's go ahead and start getting to some more contentious. I think these next three that we're gonna talk about. We're gonna have lot of opinions on because we're still in the top 10. We have Ole Miss, who absolutely polywomped Mizzou. Mizzou being Mizzou just was too far away from 25. They felt that and they were like, we gotta go back down. We we gotta we gotta see our see our people again. Chandler: This one's weird. it's like Ryan said, Florida's hot and cold. I think Missouri's the same team. I think they're also hot and cold. I just think Austin Simmons I think Austin Simmons Aaron: I I think they're one of the most hot and cold teams that we see. Chandler: has w a tremendous upside. I think he's a fun quarterback to watch when he's on. And I think what he did against Florida, I was like, Okay, that's how their offense should look if their everything's clicking. And then you go out against Old Miss, Yakuan Lacey's back. But d I mean Just no pulse and I I don't know, it's the it's the same same as what f happened to Florida. Just really good wins and really bad losses. Ryan: But you look at the box score. Obugay had 120 something receiving yards. And what did Austin Simmons have? Three hundred and thirty yards and they have three Chandler: He had three hundred something passing yards, yeah. Ryan: points. How does that even happen? You know what I'm saying? No turnovers. So I think Chandler: No and no turnovers. Aaron: Yeah, that was crazy. Absolutely crazy. Ryan: I think Ole Miss has been good. I like they've had their struggles, obviously. they lost to Florida. And apparently Florida's actually pretty good. They won again. But I think it's like Missouri probably just had the best game of their life against Florida. Florida had the worst game of their year. And it just ended up on weird times 'cause it it's it's ending up like Missouri's not that great actually. They're losing all these games except Florida and Florida's beating all these teams except for Missouri. They must have just had a weird week there. I don't know. Do you know what I'm saying? Do y'all agree? Aaron: I just I just think the SEC's in a weird place right now. I think the SEC Ryan: It is. Aaron: middle middle grade teams are mid-carters. We're all in this one area. Chandler: A melting pot. Aaron: Like the the variance between skill levels seems to be very small. And so I do feel like it's a game of like who has the counter to who? Like Florida's run defense is terrible, but their run game's incredible. And then it's like, so we get up against the running team, they get absolutely blasted. And then you get against the passing team. And I just think that's why we're seeing this mandala of like who beats who in the SEC right now. And it was like Georgia and Alabama were on top, but now even they're kind of pulled down in here with us. Like I just think the SEC's crab bucket. Like I said, I just think this is Ryan: Yeah. Aaron: that if if we had to say what's going on here, it's just crab bucket. They're all pulling each other down. And we're just beating the hell out of each other. And to me, love it. I've mentioned it multiple times. This is what I want out of the SEC. I want this to be hard fought games every week. And they have been. So Ole Miss being at number seven for me, I don't mind it. They have the talent. Ryan: I like it. Aaron: They don't have, I don't have a problem. I I think we've seen some weakness out of them, but yeah, they were missing a star component. they lost some games that they probably shouldn't have lost and maybe wouldn't have lost. But I think from what we've seen them climb back up, they've still been consistent. You got Trended Ad Chambless. I'm going to go against him. I don't like to sit here and say Old Miss should be here. I think they should be unranked and I don't think they should be allowed to play football anymore. But I I do have to sit here and say I am willingly going onto an online platform and voicing an opinion. I should at least try some semblance of being fair and say Ole Miss number seven, keep him there. It's fine. Ryan: It's also weird like you're saying, it's not like these teams though are just scrapping it out and playing really hard. One team wins one week and and one plays the other. It's like they're bringing a whole different package every week. It's like I'm watching a different team play. It's the same team. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: But yeah, they absolutely beat just beat down on Missouri. I almost I would probably put them in front of Indiana. I'd switch them. I'd put them one higher. Chandler: Course you would. Ryan: I'm just kidding. Sorry. Aaron: Yeah, I sure. if they want to do that, I wouldn't mind that either. let's Ryan: But other than that, I like it. Sorry. Aaron: get to one that I do think we have a lot of opinions on. Talk Texas Tech, number eight, eight best team in the country, Texas Chandler: You know, Aaron: Tech. Chandler: they received one vote, according to the AP top twenty five on ESPN, to be number one in the AP poll. Aaron: Number one. Who knew Ryan: You know who I think it was? Aaron: Texas Tech's mom is an AP poll voter? Chandler: Yeah. Ryan: I I think Briden Soresby bet the it would be number one and and Chandler: Gamble. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: put the vote in. Chandler: So I dogged on the number eight spot last week and I'm not gonna do it again. Texas Tech, Aaron: Ha ha ha. Chandler: keep there. They look great at number eight. They're the eighth best team in the country. Ryan: I don't know. Again, they they're Aaron: Huh. Ryan: like a team. They haven't showed me they're not yet. But I'm not so sure they are. But it's so weird that like I don't care. Just leave there, sure. Whoop dee doo. Chandler: Sure. They're they are. Aaron: Honestly, I I'm in the same boat. I don't have anything else. Like, my heart says no. Chandler: Texas Tech for the national championship this year. Texas Tech versus BYU. Ryan: Well again, all these teams though, I'm like they're not like I'm like BYU's not gonna win the national championship, but they can be up there. Texas Tech probably not winning the national championship, but they can be up there. But then who am I gonna Aaron: We don't even know anymore. Like Ryan: say yes, they're winning the national championship? Aaron: Iowa. Iowa wins. Ryan: I was not good. no offense. Like Aaron: I was could be fine. I was gonna take the whole thing at this point. who there's no predicting anything anymore. So Texas Tech being at number eight, does my heart say that's right? No. Does my brain say it's right? No. Am I gonna say it's right? Sure. I don't know Chandler: Heh. Aaron: anymore. I have no clue what's gonna happen. They haven't lost, so I can't really punish them. They haven't really shown us a lot, but they haven't shown us a negative. And at this point, Ryan: Yeah. Aaron: with what we've seen everywhere else. Keep him there. I'm not gonna talk trash about him because I don't know anything anymore. So Chandler: Just look what Brendan Sorsby's missing. Aaron: Yeah, yeah. Imagine the money he's making this season. and Ryan: Yeah, but if we look if we look at Miami, who released no loss, they don't have a loss technically on their schedule, but they lost all of their dignity. Where Texas Tech hasn't yet. So that's why I'm like, Okay, Aaron: Yeah, I that's it. Like Yeah. Chandler: That's a rivalry game, man. That doesn't matter. Rankings out the window. Ryan: What? Chandler: FSU in Miami. That's a rivalry game. That's the that's the that's one of the biggest rivalries in college football. Ryan: Bro, yeah, whatever. We're just looking at everything rivalry. Dude, Aaron: It would be that's that's like a Georgia Auburn rivalry. It's it's not real. Ryan: it's the oldest rivalry in the south. It's the War Eagle on the field. Aaron: Yeah, but Chandler: That's hey, that's one of the biggest rivalries in college football. Aaron: throwing that one out there. It's not real. so that's just one of those you have rivalry against the team you play all the time. You know, hey, all right. I think you have one rival in college football. I think you you can Ryan: Unless you're all Aaron: unless you're Auburn. And then that's what I mean. Chandler: Yeah, you you're rivals with everybody. Aaron: You're rivals with everybody. Y'all come up with every excuse. You'll be like, this is the hot dog mustard rivalry that we have because one time they ran out of mustard for our hot dogs and now we're pissed at them. That was an 1813. And like you'll you guys will hold on to it. That's y'all. I think you get your states. I think if the team is in the same state as you, you get to call them as a rival because then you can drive over there and on the day and talk trash to their face and everybody hates this and we all live for it. So you get that. I will say FSU Miami, we can keep as one. because same state. But yeah, once you cross state borders, no. No, no, it's your one Chandler: Ohio State, Michigan no longer is one then. Ryan: What's it but that like Aaron: rival. That's your that's the one you get to pick. You get one rivalry that you decide and then people in your state count as well. but Ryan: But there's substance to that. There's substance to Auburn Albert. There's substance to Auburn, Georgia. Aaron: No one's been alive for three generations since they started that rivalry. Nobody knows what they're fighting over anymore. Probably you Ryan: What there's Aaron: don't want to go back and think about what they were fighting for. That was a timeline that we don't like to go through. Ryan: My dad has been through plenty. Aaron: So Ryan: Auburn, Georgia, 1986. My dad was at the game. Gunnar Stockton's grandpa Aaron: Nope, we're not we are not going to the eighty-sixes. I we gotta get to the ten. Ryan: or dad got arrested at that game and they sprayed everyone down with the hose because they were ripping the grass out of our field. And ever since 1986, the next year my dad has a dirt that's a little vulgar, I probably shouldn't say, but it's an Auburn, Georgia shirt that him and his friends wore to the Georgia game. He's worn it every single year since 1987. And my mom said, Aaron: I wasn't born. Ryan: Why are you wearing that shirt? And he said, I've worn it every single year since 1987. This happened yesterday. There's substance. Aaron: Yeah. I'm just saying. Hey, it's You know what? Yeah. It's Ryan: I get what you're saying. I get what you're saying. But Aaron: it's what it is what it is. So after we've all agreed Texas Tech, they're here. Show us something. Make me feel good about you being here, but you get to be here. I'm not gonna say no. we Chandler: Okay. Aaron: let you in. U C L A at number nine. UCLA, what do we think? Are they a top ten team? I personally don't see them as top ten, but I don't mind them being up in this area. Chandler: I think Ryan: good with it. Chandler: they should be higher. Aaron: Whoo All right. Ryan: Yeah. I'm Chandler: You know why? Ryan: good. Chandler: I don't care. I think UCLA, Aaron: Ha ha ha. Chandler: they're six and And I don't know anything about AP poll rankings because I can't guess what they're gonna do. So in my logic, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Indiana, Old Miss, they've all lost a game, so UCLA should be higher than them because they haven't lost one. So put UC Aaron: That's eight people minding. Ryan: Give C away. Chandler: put UCLA at three. Ryan: UCLA is six and and I think they are the second or third best team in the second best conference in the whole country. So they should be up there. 'Cause they're like you'd think yes, we're talking about how n good Nebraska is. Like Aaron: That's that's adding twelve teams above them. By your own match. If they're the third best team. Yeah. Ryan: Like a couple, just a few. They're the th second or third best team in the second best conference. So like there's the peak of the conference, you know what I'm saying? The Big Aaron: Okay, okay, yeah. So th that's you're in the area. Ryan: Ten. They're the Big Ten. Oregon, who we talk about we like Nebraska. Dylan Riua dominated Nebraska. And then he just got absolutely shut down by UCLA. Absolutely shut down. Seven turnovers. They got destroyed. Dylan Rua absolutely dominated USC, who he argues at the top of the Big Ten. Something like that. I think they're actually pretty good. Their defense pretty good. Wayne Knight's pretty good. I don't like I am Oliva. Don't think he's a great quarterback. He's an av he's an above average Big Ten quarterback. Chandler: Guy just loves throwing shots. He's gonna sit here he's gonna sit he's Aaron: He does. He does. Ryan: What is that supposed to mean? Chandler: gonna sit here and argue that UCLA is a top team, but he's gonna be like, nah, in Indiana. They should probably be ranked a hundred Aaron: See, here's the thing. Chandler: and third. Aaron: This is why Auburn has rivalries with everybody. This is why. Next year we're gonna see the Auburn Ryan: Yeah. Dude. What dude? How was it to Lucian? Chandler: Yeah, just just just delusion. Delusion after delusion. It's crazy. Aaron: UCLA rivalry. Chandler: Yeah. Ryan: Indiana struggles against these teams that UCLA's like beating and stuff. what are we talking about? Chandler: Yeah. Aaron: so yes, UCLA, you get to be here once again. this is this week's hard to Ryan: Good. Boob up. Chandler: I will say UCLA shocker. mean they were in Aaron: Yeah, absolutely. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Chandler: a dumpster last year and this is a complete Aaron: Yeah, they like Ryan: Mm-hmm. Chandler: one eighty and it's awesome to see. I love it. Aaron: I do love to see a team come out. Ryan: Move up. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: It's the depth in the Big Ten is unlike any other conference. Just top to bottom. It's just it's a it's a bloodbath. we have teams all over the place. Ryan: I'd argue there's a top two and I'd say it's Ohio State and then U C L A. Chandler: Ha ha ha. Aaron: I'd say it's UCLA because they're undefeated. Chandler: They are the number one team in the Big Ten right now. Ryan: They're not they're not in Ohio State though. Chandler: They are. They're better. Aaron: So last on our 10, because we ran out of time and we're really poor at time management, we have the Utes. We got Utah. And you know what? Hey, Rocket. Let's see him Chandler: I mean Aaron: at number 10. I got nothing against the Utes. like I said at the beginning of the season, I don't know anything about the Utes. I just have not had them on my radar at any point. They've won consistently, they're undefeated. I have no trash to throw it that way because I don't have any background, any bias, anything towards it to say otherwise. They've won, they're undefeated. Next week they got Houston. We'll be able to see if they've earned that 10 slot because they'll have to stick up. We know Houston's been in this in the top 25, on and off for a little while now. I believe they have kind of consistently been there since week three or two. I'd have to go back through the history, but I do think that'll be a good matchup. We'll actually get to see if Utah is bringing the heat up in the top 10. I just Chandler: I mean Aaron: don't see a no on it. Chandler: there's just all kinds of religion battles in the top ten. There's two Mormon teams and a Catholic team. it's it's unbelievable in that top ten. Thirty percent of Ryan: Okay, okay. Chandler: the teams Ryan: I will say Utah did just barely beat Colorado. They went twenty seven to twenty four. Chandler: Here we go again. Here we go. But a win's a win. By golly. This season a win is a Ryan: But a win's a win. Chandler: win. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: And I like Devin Dapier and Weishon Parker. Yeah, what's up with Chandler: He just googled both those players. Ryan: the religion? No, I didn't. I knew Weishawn Parker, dude. I Chandler: You just Googled both of He was typing. Look at the VOD. Ryan: I knew I was trying to see the score of the Colorado game. Chandler: See? Aaron: No, I believe you. Ryan: I knew I like your joke about the religion battles. Did you see ESPN at the at the BYU Notre Dame game? put up a thing that said no religious signs and they're both like super religious. Yeah, that's like weird though. Chandler: Yeah, and there's a ton of And Pat McAfee Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: was holding the Book of Mormon and r and reading from it during the kick. He was like, I don't know what the book Ryan: Yeah. Chandler: what the what the Book of Mormon says about this, but you're gonna need some offense today. Aaron: I hey Ryan: Interesting. Chandler: Yeah, it's pretty f I don't know if I'm allowed to say it was pretty funny, but it I found it funny. Aaron: it it is like hey hey I am a descendant of Mormon families, hand cart company people. I can say it. and I don't think the Mormons mind it's BYU, it's a Mormon school. now I think they prefer Latter day Saints now, but I'm not up to digs or I'm not up to date on what's going on. So Y'all won, you get to be in the top one for us. so enjoy it. but yeah, youth, Ryan: Let's go, Weyshan! Weishon Parker! Ooh! Aaron: I'm down, I'm cool with it. I like saying uts. Chandler: Mm-hmm. Aaron: so I'm just gonna keep doing it, be in the top ten. Chandler: Utes deserve to be there. Aaron: Yep, we got other Ryan: You. Aaron: games. We had Texas fumble. We knew that would happen. that isn't surprise. We had Tennessee beat Alabama. That was surprising. But their defense was really good. It has been all season. Their offense Ryan: Mark Owings. Aaron: just managed to make Chandler: Jim Knowles. Aaron: some points. Dim Knowles, yeah, we got that. I I I think those were less surprising than Ryan: Owings null's connection. Aaron: we would put anywhere else. Like I just don't think it was that big of a shock. Chandler: And you know, my biggest question the whole weekend was did Mississippi State travel with their offense? Aaron: We left a couple of people Ryan: No Aaron: at home. Chandler: Or did you have a fan play day? a hey Aaron: So, we had a we had a do you think you can play? and no, so let's get into it. Let's go into my sh my my down past. My my dreams have been crushed. I'm a Mississippi State fan, and once again, you saw it. I Icarus too close to the sun. my cowbell plummeted to the ground. No, I actually don't feel bad about this. like there are things I would change, there are things that I'm disappointed with. Not with the boys that played. I think a lot of people are gonna come at hot about Billy Puckett, our backup that played the whole game, his first official start at Death Valley without a running back that or without a starting running back. We've got Evans, you know, the Evans connection. It wasn't there because we didn't have Camario to be the other part of it. The timings Chandler: It was unplugged. Aaron: are off. This is something that you threw a young freshman into a Big boy game. Chandler: Yeah. Aaron: And he still made some great plays. There's some rushes that he took that I think are fantastic. I think he showed a good sense. I just don't think we had the connectors there to highlight how good he could have been. I'm not gonna write him off. Camario didn't look great in his first couple games. There were a couple sparks we get to see. We got to see some talent. I think I saw some of those similar sparks out of Billy Puckett. we just didn't have any connective tissue for him to rely on. we had both of our core linebackers out. What are we gonna have for middle defense? We just didn't have it, we didn't have a lot of pressure. They're talking about like Sam Levit's having this perfect game. We just are missing our secondary. we're we're facing injuries. We we had no depth, and we're a middling team in the SEC. We don't have depth, we don't have that luxury. When we have four key players go down for a single game, quarterback, running back, and secondary. we're gonna lose a hundred percent of the time. I will say where my disappointment can be rightfully placed is on the play calling from Levy. I don't I I I want to admit here and not say I'm sliding back into my preseason Levy dislike because of one loss that was a very difficult ask. My my unhappiness with this is he came out running a game. Camario was still there. He wasn't. We were still going for the deep ball Evans connection. We were still running up the middle. We were still, we didn't adapt. And I think when you're going into this scenario, you have to throw your playbook away and start playing some crazy ball. You got to start working with what you got and some basic cross play. You're just looking for simple connectible routes. You're not putting a young quarterback in an unwinnable situation. And we still had drives moving. We still get to the two-yard line and it doesn't quite go in. There's an Evans throw that just goes through the hands, which we don't really see out of Evans. But when we talk about timing differences, when we talk about route differences and understanding progression timing, it it that happens. The other thing I disagree with is Levy went for it on fourth down every single time. unless we had the opportunity to poke. But I think one or two, sure, try to get momentum on your side. Try to say, hey, we got this, but we're on a field goal. We have a kicker. Kyle Ferry is a solid kicker. That he is somebody that we can rely on. Why not know you're losing the game, but give something to take home with? Why go home with a goose egg? Why let these guys, who we don't know if we have Camario next week, the it is turf toe. We don't know how severe. He could be out for another two. And now we have a Disheartened team because if that two-yard play goes through, if we have a run, if that cut pass is caught and we take the field goals that we had offered to us within a very reasonable give me kick distance, we go home 15 to 30 something. That's far more stomachable. And I think that your young quarterback who's now under the reins has something to go home and talk about and something to think about. Right now, I think I think we sent the team home in a bad place. And I don't think they played that poorly to deserve it. They still moved the ball from time to time, not consistently, but it still went through. We still had drives. We still got stops on LSU. I I don't see anything I hate. I'm not lamenting. I'm not sitting here. I really did before this have my suit out ready to come dressed like I was going to a funeral for our season. But it's not fair. It felt like it would have been a pot shot at these boys. Because I I thought they played. I thought it was an unwinnable situation. It was an impossible, impossible game for us at LSU on top of everything. Death Valley is not a break in stadium. It's a breaker of a stadium. And I I I just don't have any complaints. I still I'm still riding with my boys this season. I don't think we're over. I don't think we're done. I think we still have so much to show. Ryan: it was just an unfortunate circumstance. you can't be Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: mad. When y'all won games this year, it was because your offense did so good. And it's really because, I think this is a good and bad thing. It's not good that you lost this game, but it's good to show that yes, Camario and Fluff really are that good. They are your offense, If you had a PlayStation 5 and you can't plug it into the wall, that's like the the Evans connection, You gotta plug it into the wall. The cord's not there. It it just shows that y'all really are that good when Camario's there. And I think that i is a good sign if they're back. But this is an unfortunate situation. You go to LSU. LSU's not a pushover. But then I get like if your offense is gone, who's gonna score the points? I don't hate that like you're already if you're gonna score fifteen points and you're like I'm losing the game, I don't really blame Levy for going for it every time. We've talked about this before. Of course Mike Norvell would have taken his field goals, no one would have thought that w they were in that game, but you're in that game. Take the field goals. Like if you're Iowa or something, you're playing Ohio State, you're Chandler: Yeah. Ryan: gonna lose. Go it for it like every single time. Go for broke. Try to win the game. Like I understand it sucks looking at the score, but like an L's an L, you know. Say you made a few touchdowns, you know, you made like three. Take a few twenty four. Like, I don't know. I don't know. I get it I get it. I know it it looks Aaron: made zero we made zero points yet Chandler: Yeah, they did go for it every time and they did get zero. Aaron: we got nothing and like after four Ryan: I know. Aaron: or five attempts and the Ryan: would you be that much happier? Say they made three it's nine points. Like, is it that much better? Aaron: I'd be fine with nine. Chandler: I think it's more tangible to hold on to. Aaron: Honestly, just I think it's something for your young guys that are filling in to go home and hang on to. Hey, we had some successful drives down the field. We have some good to work on. Now, this film room, you got nothing that you get to say. Like, and this is where we got the points. Like, this is what success we got. You get to say, hey, well, this is the drive we got really close, and then we didn't make it. and I feel like Ryan: But it's all about the process. Everything's about the process. know, they talk Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: about that over and over. The outcome only comes from a successful process. And you will continue to succeed, especially when Camario comes back. Aaron: I I do believe that. I think if Kamario is healthy Ryan: Y'all did get close to scoring. it wasn't terrible. I know it looks bad at zero. Chandler: But if you if you Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: if you go and you kick a field goal, we have the same conversation and you get down there and you kick a field goal every single time you have the ball Ryan: I made this up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Chandler: If you have twelve possessions, you have thirty six points. If you have ten possessions, you have thirty points. Getting into field goal range with a guy like Kyle Ferry is not that hard to do. You take the points, you get some momentum, you get the defense back out there, and you play some football. All this all this mumbo jumbo Aaron: No. And you got a solid leg. And then you put Ella Yep. Ryan: You're using my own thing against me. Chandler: about going for it every time when you know you're gonna lose is just blasphemy. We're not playing NCAA college football. Aaron: It is because he Ryan: You gotta get in the ther okay. You gotta get in the thirty yard line every single time. But I have talked about this. You will waste you don't Chandler: You don't have to. Thirty five, forty. Aaron: Not for the Kyle Ferry. Chandler: Yeah. Yeah. Aaron: You just have to be on the other side. You just gotta be in their territory. He'll make it. Ryan: Forty seven yarder. You don't want him to kick a fifty-five Chandler: That's n that's a chip shot. Ryan: yarder every single time. Chandler: You can though. Aaron: He'll make it. Ryan: Okay. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: You get to the thirty-five yard line. You don't get them you don't let them see as many plays. Your offense has to do less. Yes, your offense your defense will be on the field more, but you kick it, say you make it every single time. Yeah, you get the ball ten times, thirty points. You you almost win. You know? Chandler: That wins a lot of games Aaron: Yeah, Chandler: this year. Aaron: that's really close. That's a good thing to hang your hat on at the end of the day. Zero's rough. That's tough to swallow. Chandler: Yeah, especially with a w especially with a backup quarterback Ryan: That would be nice. Chandler: and that's never started and a good running back that's not there and two linebackers that aren't there. Aaron: Thirty to zero leaves you out of the AP Ryan: It would be nice but I made this up. This is unrealistic. Aaron: pole. No, I think yeah. Chandler: You made it up because it's truth. It's it's true, and now you're s and you're on your high horse Aaron: Haha. Chandler: about if you're gonna lose, they don't know they're gonna lose. This season more than anybody Ryan: High horse What do you mean high horse? Aaron: Yeah, give it Chandler: knows that you can anybody can beat anybody. Everybody You always take points no matter what. You don't just go for it on fourth Aaron: Always, always take the points. Points are always take them. Ryan: A horse. What are you talking about? Yes, always see the points, but you were in. Chandler: down for no reason, just because you think you're gonna lose a game. Nobody goes into a game thinking they're gonna lose. Ryan: The it's a feel thing. It's a feel. I'm feeling this game. I'm like, yeah, I'm I'm trying to score every Chandler: It's not a field thing. You take points. Ryan: time. Chandler: You take points. Everybody's trying to score Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. Chandler: every time. Everybody that walks on the field. Ryan: Okay, whoo, Iowa scored what, twelve points on you? Whoop-de-doo, go for the touchdown, go for a four down every single time. If you're Grambling State, I'll use a better example. Grambling State, you're losing to Ohio State. Why would you ever punt the ball? Why would you ever punt? You don't want to lose a hundred to nothing? Chandler: Because they're there because they got paid. Ryan: You don't want to lose Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: a hundred to nothing. You pretty much are losing a hundred Chandler: That's a diff they they they are there because they Ryan: nothing. Chandler: they got paid. That's why they're there. Aaron: Now I do believe, I do believe going forward on fourth and instead of punting, different scenario. That's keeping possession of the ball. Field goal range, always take the points. Like Chandler: Yes. But when you're in field goal range, you're not going for it. Yeah. Correct. Ryan: Okay, that's mainly what I'm talking about. Aaron: if you are within Ryan: Yeah, fine. Aaron: an achievable field goal, three points is better than zero. And you have now scored. Like that changes the momentum. Ryan: Yeah, that's fine. Aaron: That's different. I now I completely agree on fourth and punts. Yeah. Chandler: But no power four team goes in to play each other and thinks they're gonna lose. Ryan: You think Illinois thought they were gonna beat you? Aaron: sorry, Arkansas. Chandler: The fans Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: think that one team's always gonna win and one team's always gonna lose. Those D one athletes that are paid to play the game are not going into that game thinking they're gonna lose the game. Look at NIU in in Miami last year. Aaron: Yep. There's there's there's a chance. Ryan: Miami's no good. No offense. Chandler: They were in the national championship. Ryan: Whoop-dee-doo. They got scammed out of the olmiss game because Keywon Lacy got hurt. Okay, Chandler: They r they rolled Ole Miss. Nope. Ryan: okay. Again. Whatever. This is a bunch of my semantics. I understand. Chandler: It's not reasonable. And you're making me edit you're making me edit Ryan: Yes. Go four to four down every single time. Aaron: So Chandler: a long video for no reason. Because of all this. Aaron: It is. It is you know, we're taking it into overtime now. So I'm gonna go ahead and just call an interception so we can have it over. and say, I'm proud of the boys. Billy Puckett, I think he played great. I look forward to seeing you play more. so Chandler: Me too, Billy. I wish your coach Ryan: Me too. They played hard. Chandler: would have let you kick some field goals with your offense and not just go for it every time. Aaron: Kyle Ferry, I missed it. I didn't get to see your magic and I wanted to. and I do still think that we have a great season ahead of us. I st I'm very happy. When when we came into the season, I said it's gonna be hard for me to see more than four wins. Everything we get from here on out is bonus points due to my negativity. So let's keep it rolling. We'll have to see how our feelings change throughout this week because it's only a few more days till you get to listen to us. Make our predictions for week eight. And I'm gonna go ahead and sp tell you spoiler alert, don't listen to anybody about predictions this week. unless we say FSU is gonna give Miami a hard time. That was a great deep ball. Can't wait to keep talking about college football and find out what insane things are gonna happen next week. So till then. Ryan: And put Kentucky in the top 10. Bye-bye.
