- 0:03SPEAKER_03: There we go.
- 0:05SPEAKER_03: Took me a minute.
- 0:18SPEAKER_03: Mike, Mike, Mike.
- 0:25SPEAKER_03: Gonna be honest.
- 0:27SPEAKER_03: I hate Wednesdays.
- 0:31SPEAKER_03: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Mike Blitz.
- 0:33SPEAKER_03: I'm your host, Mike Wade, my co-host over there drinking some cow fee.
- 0:36SPEAKER_03: Black cow fee.
- 0:37SPEAKER_03: Mike White.
- 0:38SPEAKER_03: What is up, man?
- 0:39SPEAKER_03: Happy Wednesday.
- 0:39SPEAKER_03: I I'm sorry to hear you hate Wednesdays.
- 0:41SPEAKER_03: Why do you hate Wednesdays?
- 0:42SPEAKER_03: I do.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 0:43SPEAKER_02: It's just uh it's just like the the the lamest of the days, you know.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: Monday, Tuesdays are gearing up for the week.
- 0:50SPEAKER_02: It's cool.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: Then, you know, when you hit Thursday and Friday, it's the back end, you're excited.
- 0:54SPEAKER_02: Wednesday's just kind of that like you gotta get through it.
- 0:57SPEAKER_02: That's all, you know.
- 0:58SPEAKER_03: Um I'm with you on Thursdays.
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: Thursday, something clicks, like you're close enough, you can kind of feel it coming.
- 1:03SPEAKER_03: It's like one more sleep, and then we're at the weekend.
- 1:05SPEAKER_03: But Wednesday, Wednesday feels that way too.
- 1:07SPEAKER_03: My my week's, I mean, I'm mine's very linear.
- 1:09SPEAKER_03: Like Wednesday, Monday's the worst, Tuesday's less bad, Wednesday's less bad, Thursday's less bad, and then Friday's obviously the best.
- 1:15SPEAKER_03: So you but yours is more parabolic, it sounds like like it's it's Monday, Tuesday's okay, Wednesday's the worst, then it goes back down Thursday, Friday.
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's like Monday.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: I'm working from home, so I'm psyched to be working from home.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: Tuesday, it's like, oh, change it up.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: I'm in the office, that's exciting, something different.
- 1:30SPEAKER_02: Wednesday is back in the office, kind of like uh, did this yesterday, not that sweet.
- 1:35SPEAKER_03: Okay, all right, fair enough.
- 1:36SPEAKER_03: Uh teach his own different experiences.
- 1:38SPEAKER_03: Uh, it's been a while.
- 1:39SPEAKER_03: Uh, I saw that massive cup over there.
- 1:41SPEAKER_03: What are you drinking?
- 1:42SPEAKER_03: Um, just coffee, you know.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Just a little coffee.
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: Yep, getting caffeinated up.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: Like Wednesdays, right?
- 1:49SPEAKER_02: A little sleepy, a little down today.
- 1:52SPEAKER_02: Gotta stay caffeinated.
- 1:54SPEAKER_03: That little cafe americano.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: Just a black coffee, just black like my like my soul.
- 2:00SPEAKER_03: Is c is cafe americano just means coffee, right?
- 2:03SPEAKER_03: Like American coffee is just like black drip coffee.
- 2:05SPEAKER_03: That's what American when they say, Oh, I want a cafe americano, they mean I just want a normal coffee, right?
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: That question is not for me.
- 2:13SPEAKER_03: Oh man, I really have no idea.
- 2:14SPEAKER_03: Someone right now is screaming at their dashboard saying, No, that's that sounds right.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: I just don't get into anything, but I don't know anything about fancy coffee drinks.
- 2:23SPEAKER_03: I don't know anything about fancy coffee either.
- 2:24SPEAKER_03: And I don't think Cafe Americano is really fancy coffee.
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: I think you and I are just such simple Cretans, we just don't know anything.
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: We're we drink what the sip what the simple man drinks.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: I will gladly take on the simple Cretan label and own it.
- 2:36SPEAKER_03: As a coffee as a coffee enthusiast?
- 2:38SPEAKER_03: No, just in life.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: Just as life, simple Cretan, yeah.
- 2:41SPEAKER_03: Simple Cretan.
- 2:42SPEAKER_03: That's that's that's reasonable.
- 2:43SPEAKER_03: Um, yeah, I'm also drinking black coffee.
- 2:45SPEAKER_03: I put a little cream in mind though.
- 2:46SPEAKER_03: I like uh I like a little cream cut.
- 2:48SPEAKER_03: So it's not black, not black, no.
- 2:50SPEAKER_03: But it was black coffee at one point.
- 2:51SPEAKER_03: Now it's not so yeah, okay.
- 2:54SPEAKER_03: Uh anyway, uh a little check-in.
- 2:55SPEAKER_03: Uh it's been a while since we talked last.
- 2:57SPEAKER_03: Um, what's uh what's new with you and your life?
- 3:00SPEAKER_03: What's happened the last week?
- 3:01SPEAKER_03: How are the wife and kids?
- 3:02SPEAKER_03: How's how's the house?
- 3:03SPEAKER_03: How are the things?
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, it's good.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: We uh one thing I will say is uh we went to a reptile museum about in Gum Spring.
- 3:11SPEAKER_02: Nice and it was really sweet.
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: Boys got it was like this.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: You pull up, it's like this just big building.
- 3:17SPEAKER_02: It looks pretty lame.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: Um, and it's they just have a bunch of snakes and lizards and turtles, and um, it's like going over to somebody's house who's like weirdly into that sort of thing.
- 3:30SPEAKER_02: And the boys just got to like pet them and take them out and and do you know, and it was way cooler than you would think.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: So put it on your radar.
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: You know what they say, man.
- 3:37SPEAKER_03: Don't judge ugly but ugly buildings by their cover.
- 3:40SPEAKER_03: You have to get inside and see what's what's inside the ugly.
- 3:45SPEAKER_03: Was there a lizard highlight?
- 3:46SPEAKER_03: Was there one like reptile that was like, oh, this is they they get scared by any like huge?
- 3:52SPEAKER_03: Like, what was like what was the highlight moment?
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: They had a couple really big snakes, but I think the highlight was this um giant green iguana that was like way bigger than it's supposed to be.
- 4:02SPEAKER_02: And apparently their green iguanas are like really grumpy, like they don't take to strangers, they're not like very good pets, like mostly speaking.
- 4:13SPEAKER_02: And this is like the one kind of friendly one that lets people pet it, and it's huge, it's like I don't know, probably four feet plus five feet long.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: Um, and it like just hangs out and people pet it.
- 4:26SPEAKER_02: And uh that was cool.
- 4:27SPEAKER_02: Does it have a name?
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: Uh, I think its name was Gus.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: Gus.
- 4:31SPEAKER_03: I like that.
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: Gus the iguana.
- 4:33SPEAKER_03: I think that sounds awesome.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: That's good.
- 4:35SPEAKER_03: That's a that's that's a nice little weekend.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: Um, I went up to Northern Virginia to visit my mom.
- 4:38SPEAKER_03: She had surgery, she's fine, she's recovering, she's all good.
- 4:41SPEAKER_03: But I was able to sneak away for on Saturday and actually go to Annapolis to go see the uh Navy game.
- 4:47SPEAKER_03: Um you stay the whole game?
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: No, we stayed until about like halfway through the fourth.
- 4:52SPEAKER_03: It was a blowout.
- 4:52SPEAKER_03: I mean, it was it was an ugly game.
- 4:54SPEAKER_03: And honestly, like the tailgate was cool.
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: They have all these tailgates like for a lot of alumni who I guess aren't serving overseas, are they go and they have a they have a tailgate for every class, like class of 62, class of 84.
- 5:07SPEAKER_03: So we went to with my buddy whose class of 08, saw that quickly.
- 5:10SPEAKER_03: We met Bill the goat.
- 5:11SPEAKER_03: So you and I both had some animal encounters this weekend.
- 5:13SPEAKER_03: That's kind of cool.
- 5:14SPEAKER_03: Um, the jets did the flyover, they had all the uh all the middies, all the uh the students doing push-ups.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: Um, so it was like from like a pop and circumstance, like it was like a big show, like it was it was awesome.
- 5:26SPEAKER_03: Um, and we got general admission tickets, so we could actually sit as close as we want.
- 5:30SPEAKER_03: In fact, so we were in what's called like the greens, the green field, green spring, which is in the end zone, and Makai Hughes rushed in for his second touchdown or the second touchdown of the game, 14 yard scamper.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: Um, and ESPN showed the game, and he he kind of he rushes into the end zone on when we're on the in the end zone on the wall, and this camera kind of scans the fans, and you can kind of see my head for a split second, like fuzzy.
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: It's very, very quickly.
- 5:57SPEAKER_03: So I made like a very brief appearance on ESPN too.
- 6:01SPEAKER_03: If you have like a 75-inch TV, you could like hot pause it and maybe catch like my head fuzzy.
- 6:06SPEAKER_03: So, like, you know, it's like not a big deal.
- 6:08SPEAKER_03: I'm just I was on TV.
- 6:09SPEAKER_03: That's incredible.
- 6:09SPEAKER_03: No, no, it is a big deal, it's incredible.
- 6:11SPEAKER_03: Big deal.
- 6:12SPEAKER_03: So, no, really fun.
- 6:13SPEAKER_03: And Annapolis, I say that stadium is like really it's smaller, but so it's I mean, it's not you know, it's an AAC stadium.
- 6:19SPEAKER_03: Um, but it was it was cool.
- 6:20SPEAKER_03: I will definitely go back and do that again.
- 6:23SPEAKER_03: Um, just bummer bummer that um they didn't show up because actually two lanes really good, which we'll talk about.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: I love new college football experiences.
- 6:30SPEAKER_02: Yes, me and the Ian talk all the time about the time we went we went for like two dollars to the Georgia Tech um uh bowling green game, yes, in in Atlanta.
- 6:41SPEAKER_03: So yes, I've I'm right there with you.
- 6:42SPEAKER_03: Sign me up for that.
- 6:43SPEAKER_03: And you know, one thing I was thinking about University of Richmond's gonna host a playoff game.
- 6:47SPEAKER_03: The FCS selection Sunday, the bracket comes out on Sunday.
- 6:50SPEAKER_03: There's an off chance that you of our is gonna host a game either next week, the weekend after.
- 6:53SPEAKER_03: Maybe go check that out.
- 6:54SPEAKER_03: I don't know, it's here in town.
- 6:55SPEAKER_03: Maybe something to do.
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: Pretty sweet, yeah.
- 6:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so uh very cool.
- 6:58SPEAKER_03: Good check-in.
- 6:59SPEAKER_03: All right, let's get into the uh big picture stuff.
- 7:01SPEAKER_03: I want to have some questions for you.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: I want to ask you a bunch of questions, and I wanted to have them answered immediately.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: All right, so we are uh in week 12.
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: Uh, and then there were three undefeated teams.
- 7:11SPEAKER_03: Indiana Army and Oregon are your three last unbeatons.
- 7:14SPEAKER_03: BYU goes down.
- 7:15SPEAKER_03: Kent State had their best chance to get a win actually last night.
- 7:18SPEAKER_03: They were 10-point dogs, lost by 21.
- 7:21SPEAKER_03: So it's unlikely that Kent State is going to get uh the win this year.
- 7:24SPEAKER_03: We're gonna see an 0-12 FPS team, which is a bummer.
- 7:27SPEAKER_03: However, your take earlier in the preseason about one team going wire to wire, that being Oregon, is probably gonna hit.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: I mean, we got Army going against Ohio State, um, Indiana going sorry, Indiana going against Ohio State, Army going against Notre Dame, both double-digit dogs this week.
- 7:43SPEAKER_03: So Army Oregon being the last one standing is a nice call.
- 7:47SPEAKER_03: So kudos to you.
- 7:49SPEAKER_03: Um, speaking of what's at the at the top, uh, at this point, we are two weeks out for the conference championships, and then one more week from the playoffs.
- 7:56SPEAKER_03: At this point, who can afford to lose a game and still make?
- 8:01SPEAKER_03: Because everybody seems like they're just about on their last life.
- 8:04SPEAKER_03: I got Oregon, maybe Texas, but maybe not, maybe Indiana.
- 8:08SPEAKER_03: Is there anybody right now who's got eyes on the playoffs that can afford to drop one?
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: Yes, Ohio State.
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Ohio State can lose this weekend to Indiana and still be firmly in play.
- 8:19SPEAKER_02: Are you so they're gonna be fine?
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: At that point, they're 10 and 2, and you think that you think the the Penn State win would buoy them because it was an on the road, like that would that would get 10-20.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, because then you're they're gonna get net large, right?
- 8:31SPEAKER_02: Um as long as Penn State doesn't drop, and you're you're pitting them up against a bunch of 10 and 2 SEC teams, which then um I know it maybe it shouldn't, but conference matters in in the context of how the committee's gonna decide these things.
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: And um a 10 and 2 Big Ten Ohio State team with wins at against Penn State, um, versus you know, maybe a fourth or fifth team in the SEC getting in when you're looking at like a Tennessee or something, then yeah, I think Ohio State definitely gets the nod.
- 9:03SPEAKER_03: Okay, so I think I think we agree on or we do agree on or they're undefeated.
- 9:06SPEAKER_03: They drop one, they're still gonna go.
- 9:07SPEAKER_03: Ohio State, I'm gonna give you that.
- 9:09SPEAKER_03: Texas, I'm gonna say no.
- 9:10SPEAKER_03: If Texas loses to AM, then they're gonna fall way down in that 10 and 2 cluster, and then their best win is Vanderbilt.
- 9:16SPEAKER_03: I kind of see a world where Texas does not get the nod if they lose.
- 9:20SPEAKER_03: The only losable really game they have is the at AM game the last week of the season, but that's shaping up to be a real doozy.
- 9:26SPEAKER_03: Indiana, let me run this by you.
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: Indiana gets blasted this week by Ohio State, which I think you and I both kind of think is what's gonna happen.
- 9:34SPEAKER_03: Let's say they lose by 50.
- 9:35SPEAKER_03: Is there a chance?
- 9:36SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 9:37SPEAKER_03: Is there a chance?
- 9:37SPEAKER_03: I mean, like I think this is gonna be an athlete and athlete game, and I gotta take about that later.
- 9:41SPEAKER_03: Is there a chance that in the the cup the committee looks at 11-1 Big Ten team versus a 10 and 2 old Mr.
- 9:48SPEAKER_03: Tennessee and say, I don't think so.
- 9:50SPEAKER_03: I think we're gonna go SEC.
- 9:51SPEAKER_03: Can Indiana not get a bid being 11-1?
- 9:55SPEAKER_02: Um, so this is what like basically everybody in the country is talking about right now.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: What do you do with Indiana?
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, um, and they're yeah, they're the topic of a lot of conversation.
- 10:04SPEAKER_02: I I happen to think that sitting at the five spot, if they play a good game against Ohio State, um, even if they lose, that they're probably still in.
- 10:14SPEAKER_02: I think the five next to their name tells us what the committee thinks about their body of work right now.
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: Sure.
- 10:19SPEAKER_02: And so if they play a decent game, um, you know, they're they're probably still in.
- 10:24SPEAKER_02: They probably drop, obviously, but not out.
- 10:28SPEAKER_02: That's my opinion.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: Do I think they deserve to be in uh if they lose, if if they if they get blasted?
- 10:34SPEAKER_02: Probably not.
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: I don't think so.
- 10:36SPEAKER_02: I mean, I would put them out.
- 10:37SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm hoping for them to bit to get blasted and get knocked out from a selfish standpoint, but sure, yeah.
- 10:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: I kind of yeah, I mean, I kind of think they're in that they're in this.
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: If they I think you're said, I think you said it well.
- 10:49SPEAKER_03: If they lose close, if they play tight, they lose by 17, by seven, like they cover, like they are they're good to go.
- 10:55SPEAKER_03: They are in, they are playing amongst their peers.
- 10:57SPEAKER_03: That game's in Columbus, too.
- 10:58SPEAKER_03: So it's a road game for them as well.
- 11:00SPEAKER_03: I see that.
- 11:00SPEAKER_03: I just see a world where Ohio State smothers them like they have done to Indiana for the last 50 years, you know, a 56 to 7 type game.
- 11:08SPEAKER_03: And then we're looking at Indiana, like, why are we talking about them in the playoffs?
- 11:12SPEAKER_03: Like, look what happened when they got.
- 11:13SPEAKER_03: So, like, I think they have a shot.
- 11:15SPEAKER_03: There's a world where 11-1 Indiana doesn't go, but I think that's it.
- 11:18SPEAKER_03: Nobody else, if Army loses one, they're done.
- 11:20SPEAKER_03: Uh Big 12 is a mess, obviously.
- 11:22SPEAKER_03: ACC is a there's no way those guys have any have any margin for error.
- 11:25SPEAKER_03: I don't think if no name drops another one, they're out.
- 11:28SPEAKER_03: They're done.
- 11:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 11:29SPEAKER_03: Uh, I even think even that any of the G4 teams or G5 teams can eliminate themselves.
- 11:32SPEAKER_03: I think Boise can't afford to lose, Tulane can't afford to lose.
- 11:34SPEAKER_03: Like, there's I don't think anybody other than maybe Oregon, Ohio State, and maybe Indiana.
- 11:40SPEAKER_03: I think those are the only three teams that could possibly afford to drop one this week or next and still go to the playoff.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: So, given the schedule that we're looking at ahead, uh, outside of Indiana, who is the next most likely to lose, in your opinion?
- 11:55SPEAKER_02: Who's the who's gonna cause the chaos?
- 11:57SPEAKER_02: Who's gonna who's gonna throw the wrench in this uh in this?
- 12:00SPEAKER_02: It's not gonna go chalk.
- 12:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's not gonna go chalk.
- 12:02SPEAKER_03: Um, I could see Florida knocking off Ole Miss uh this week.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: I think that's about a 10 and a half points perfectly.
- 12:08SPEAKER_03: I think Florida's live.
- 12:09SPEAKER_03: I mean, obviously, Florida just beat my teams.
- 12:10SPEAKER_03: I'm a little sad about that.
- 12:11SPEAKER_03: I'm high on them at the moment, but I think there's a world where that happens.
- 12:15SPEAKER_03: Um I think if Army plays a perfect game and Bryson Daly is dealing, and Notre Dame doesn't show up the games at Yankee Stadium.
- 12:23SPEAKER_03: I think if Army gets that win, Notre Dame is that would free up a spot.
- 12:25SPEAKER_03: There's Notre Dame does not get a spot as a too large, as a too large, at large team.
- 12:30SPEAKER_03: And then the only probably the next best would probably be Alabama, dropping one to either Oklahoma or Auburn.
- 12:36SPEAKER_03: Oklahoma is neither do I, but they want to drop one.
- 12:40SPEAKER_03: Um Oklahoma, I still think is a talented team, and Jackson Arnold has gotten marginally better as the year goes on.
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: So offensively, they at least they have we know we talked about this at the Tennessee game, Oklahoma Tennessee game, they had no identity, and now at least they're doing something marginally correct, like moving the football down the field.
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: So, like I can see a world where Oklahoma plays the game of their the game of the century and beats them, and the iron bowl is the iron bowl.
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: Like, I don't care who I don't care how bad Auburn is, I just it's the Iron Bowl, man.
- 13:08SPEAKER_03: Like anything could happen in the Iron Bowl, and then there's a whole other slew of rivalry games where there's somebody really good who might not show up for a rival, like that could happen.
- 13:17SPEAKER_03: But those are kind of the big three.
- 13:18SPEAKER_03: I I think Alabama dropping one, Florida knocking off Ole Miss somehow, or uh Notre Dame, uh and then obviously AM Texas.
- 13:28SPEAKER_02: Who knows what's gonna happen there?
- 13:29SPEAKER_03: Who knows what's gonna happen there?
- 13:30SPEAKER_03: But all I mean, all I really think that's gonna do, I think that game is it's probably the is the best SEC game left, but all it's really gonna do is flip their spot.
- 13:35SPEAKER_03: I think if AM wins, they're going to Atlanta and they're in playoff.
- 13:39SPEAKER_03: If Texas wins, they're going to Atlanta and they're in the playoff.
- 13:42SPEAKER_03: I think the other team is out.
- 13:43SPEAKER_03: So it's really more like there's one spot here who wants it.
- 13:46SPEAKER_03: I don't think them, I don't think it's a scenario where both of them advance, but maybe I'm wrong about that.
- 13:50SPEAKER_03: We'll see.
- 13:51SPEAKER_03: Uh, so uh we are in uh coaching season.
- 13:54SPEAKER_03: Uh, this is when people are starting to look around.
- 13:56SPEAKER_03: Oh man, it's not been a great year, blah, blah, blah.
- 13:59SPEAKER_03: Um, is there any chance that nobody in the power four gets fired this year?
- 14:05SPEAKER_03: And I got I got Neil Brown at West Virginia as kind of my kind of my pick, but other than you've hated him for so long.
- 14:12SPEAKER_03: I think he's he's gotta go.
- 14:13SPEAKER_03: He's not he's not affected, he's not doing it.
- 14:14SPEAKER_03: But like there's a lot of guys that are just like maybe you consider, but not really.
- 14:19SPEAKER_03: Mac Brown, UNC might retire.
- 14:21SPEAKER_03: Lincoln Riley, USC, Sam Pittman, Arkansas, Mark Stoops, Kentucky, firing their best coach ever.
- 14:26SPEAKER_03: Come on, I'm not gonna do that.
- 14:27SPEAKER_03: Ryan Walters in year two at Purdue, disaster, but year two.
- 14:30SPEAKER_03: Mike Loxley at Maryland's gonna miss a bowl.
- 14:33SPEAKER_03: The to the the Tualia Tonga Viola era is over.
- 14:36SPEAKER_03: Mike Gundy, the obviously the bottom fell out.
- 14:38SPEAKER_03: Mike, Mike Norvell, same situation.
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: Venables freeze, both having dicey second and third years better programs.
- 14:44SPEAKER_03: You could make a case for all of these guys, I think except Neil Brown, that none of them get fired.
- 14:49SPEAKER_03: Like, I think we might be looking at like a one or maybe two power four job year over under two and a half power four job firings.
- 14:56SPEAKER_03: What are you taking?
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, well, you excuse me, you left out the elephant in the room, which was um this week, I think it was Aranda got the vote of confidence from Bayley.
- 15:50SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 15:50SPEAKER_02: Our boy's lost the hot seat.
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: He's back, baby.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: So he's back.
- 15:54SPEAKER_02: We are correct, I guess.
- 15:56SPEAKER_02: We weren't wrong.
- 15:57SPEAKER_03: We were just early.
- 15:58SPEAKER_03: We weren't wrong, we were early.
- 16:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, um, I don't know.
- 16:01SPEAKER_02: You know, I think there's a good chance um a couple of these guys retire.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: You know, Mac Brown.
- 16:06SPEAKER_03: Mac Brown, yeah.
- 16:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't care as a firing, but I think he's potentially even stoops.
- 16:09SPEAKER_03: So I don't know.
- 16:10SPEAKER_02: I'll take the Unger, I guess, but who knows?
- 16:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we're talking about firing because I think Mac Brown's a good chance that he that he kind of runs off the sunset.
- 16:17SPEAKER_03: I just like I maybe maybe Mike Gundy retires.
- 16:19SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 16:19SPEAKER_03: He's been there 30 years.
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: He's not that old, but he's been there a long time.
- 16:22SPEAKER_03: Um, maybe he doesn't want to go out as an 0-9, you know, three and nine seasons, not the way he wants to go.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: Although something is kind of off there.
- 16:29SPEAKER_03: Other thing that could happen, this is kind of a hot take, and this is kind of cross sports.
- 16:33SPEAKER_03: The NFL, on the other hand, is gonna see like I think like nine coaches fired this year.
- 16:38SPEAKER_03: There are so many bad teams.
- 16:40SPEAKER_03: Excuse me.
- 16:41SPEAKER_03: Why is that relevant to us?
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: There they're there's gonna be some college calls.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: I mean, someone's gonna call Dan Lanning, someone's gonna call Kirby Smart, someone's gonna call Steve Sarkeesian, like, hey, do you want to come back?
- 16:52SPEAKER_03: And that could create a if any of those guys want to go, and honestly, I think they're making more in college than they would in the pro anyway.
- 16:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they don't have to recruit.
- 17:00SPEAKER_03: So, I mean, you could sell me that they want to go do the NFL thing.
- 17:03SPEAKER_03: My point, blah, blah, blah.
- 17:05SPEAKER_03: That could create the tremendous ripple effect that we see.
- 17:07SPEAKER_03: You know, like if a Sarkeesian goes, then he's gonna pluck off Giffen, and then Kiff, oh Miss is gonna need somebody, they're gonna go get Signetti, and then like whatever.
- 17:17SPEAKER_03: Like, we might see that from outside college football.
- 17:20SPEAKER_03: I think it might be possible this year.
- 17:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, I agree.
- 17:23SPEAKER_03: That's uh something to keep an eye.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: One of the major pieces, major pieces, we'll see.
- 17:28SPEAKER_03: So that's not really firings, but more like promotion from win.
- 17:30SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 17:31SPEAKER_03: Uh, let's talk about the Mike Blitz bet of the week.
- 17:33SPEAKER_03: Six and two.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: Six and two.
- 17:35SPEAKER_03: We are so close.
- 17:36SPEAKER_03: We are dialed in on this thing.
- 17:37SPEAKER_03: We've you and I have done a really good job of figuring this thing out.
- 17:40SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, one of the questions I had is like, should we take the homer picks?
- 17:43SPEAKER_03: Like, are we not seeing our teams clearly?
- 17:47SPEAKER_03: Um, I mean, I will say the the second parlay we hit, we had the we had Tennessee, Tennessee winning and the under and LSU winning and the under.
- 17:55SPEAKER_03: So it was four homer legs, and they all hit.
- 17:57SPEAKER_02: But I think we, I mean, you have to you have to we probably know our our own teams better than that's what I'm saying.
- 18:04SPEAKER_02: Some of the teams that we're speculating about.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: I mean, the Oregon, we we kind of we both just thought they would dominate the game, and they missed on that.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: So, I mean, that was the the other one we missed on, and um, that was kind of a head scratcher for me, although Josh Pate called that on on his show earlier in that in the week.
- 18:22SPEAKER_03: Um he did.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: He did.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: He did say that they've been playing consecutive ball for like eight weeks and they were tired and playing, you know, playing going on the road in a hostile environment, a little something there.
- 18:31SPEAKER_03: Um, it's funny because that's one we didn't talk about at all, and we were like, oh yeah, we're gonna cover it with cover for sure.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: And that's the one that obviously didn't hit, and of course, my LSU Tigers.
- 18:40SPEAKER_03: But I'll tell you the truth, I put some of my personal money on Florida moneyline just to make myself feel better in case they lose.
- 18:45SPEAKER_03: Because deep down, I was like, I don't know, man.
- 18:47SPEAKER_02: We might go in there and lose and well, one of the big things too is that we were, you know, Lagway was still somewhat questionable, I think.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's hamstring.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: I think we did we we weren't sure.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna give our give us a little bit of uh a pass on on that.
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, um, and LSU had an opportunity that game and kind of just blew it.
- 19:06SPEAKER_02: I mean, they played so many than Florida.
- 19:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we'll talk we'll talk about the game a little bit.
- 19:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we like out gained them in just pretty much every metric.
- 19:12SPEAKER_03: We just so many red zone drives missed.
- 19:14SPEAKER_03: We missed field goals, gave up seven sacks, which doubled our gave up six sacks all year.
- 19:19SPEAKER_03: We gave up seven sacks in one game, like just it's a catastrophe.
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: It hurt more though, because we had hit every game until that point, and then it was like the last couple legs of the parlay, but yeah, and we hit the hardest leg we want, which was the um the BYU upset.
- 19:34SPEAKER_03: We picked that.
- 19:35SPEAKER_03: I'm so glad.
- 19:36SPEAKER_03: Well, I'm not I mean, like I mean, we hit that.
- 19:38SPEAKER_03: I didn't stay up.
- 19:39SPEAKER_03: If we were if we had if we had stayed up and that would have lost, if they had all if all seven had hit except for the LSU game, I would have been so upset.
- 19:46SPEAKER_03: So I know me too.
- 19:47SPEAKER_03: It kind of took this thing off that organ game anyway.
- 19:51SPEAKER_03: But whatever.
- 19:52SPEAKER_03: Last thing before we move on, five weeks in a row now.
- 19:55SPEAKER_03: If you bet every single play in the Mike Bless better the week, if you just bet like ten dollars per game, this is your fifth week in a row of landing in the positive.
- 20:03SPEAKER_03: That's good picking, man.
- 20:05SPEAKER_03: Like, you know, we didn't win silly money this week, which is a bummer, but you and I are dialed in, man.
- 20:09SPEAKER_03: Six and two.
- 20:10SPEAKER_03: If you told me that you and I could pick six and two winners every week, we'd retire.
- 20:14SPEAKER_03: We'd be doing this full time, man.
- 20:15SPEAKER_03: Because that's that's awesome.
- 20:17SPEAKER_03: So uh kudos to you and me and us.
- 20:20SPEAKER_03: Cheers to us, cheers to us, cheers.
- 20:22SPEAKER_03: All right, moving on.
- 20:23SPEAKER_03: Uh BYU and Louisville go down, uh, lost to SMU and Notre Dame.
- 20:28SPEAKER_03: Um, so uh sorry, Louisville lost to uh Stanford this week.
- 20:32SPEAKER_03: I think we've pretty much sealed the fate.
- 20:34SPEAKER_03: Big 12 and uh the Big 12 and the uh is now a yeah, big 12.
- 20:41SPEAKER_03: They're they are now one bid league.
- 20:42SPEAKER_03: Like we're we're done here, right?
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: There's no there's no yeah, I think we agree.
- 20:46SPEAKER_03: Which is good news for the falls, so we'll see.
- 20:47SPEAKER_03: All right, that's all I've got for the um uh big picture.
- 20:51SPEAKER_03: Let's get into the uh autopsy of week 12.
- 21:00SPEAKER_03: Buffs roll.
- 21:01SPEAKER_03: One of our picks was the butt Colorado over.
- 21:03SPEAKER_03: Colorado did it themselves.
- 21:05SPEAKER_03: Uh, did Travis Hunter, uh, who had had a touchdown and an interception, did Travis Hunter lock up the Heisman this week?
- 21:11SPEAKER_03: I kind of think he did.
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: It's kind of trending that way.
- 21:15SPEAKER_02: Um, there hasn't been that one player, like you know, Dylan Gabriel kind of had his chance to be back in the spotlight again.
- 21:22SPEAKER_02: You kind of have it, it's the end of the year, you kind of have to do it week after week.
- 21:26SPEAKER_02: And we haven't seen that consistent guy except for Travis Hunter.
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: So um it's it it seems to be like him or Urgenti.
- 21:33SPEAKER_02: And yeah, I kind of like with the hype and the buzz that Hunter's getting and how unique of a player he is.
- 21:38SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, I think so.
- 21:40SPEAKER_03: Another thing to mention is like there's I don't think there's a world where we care about him if if Colorado is like they were last year, if they're sitting at like three and eight, four and eight, they are in the driver's seat for a playoff spot and a playoff buy.
- 21:52SPEAKER_03: So one of the things that the committees always do is like, oh, like the best player on a contender.
- 21:58SPEAKER_03: This is the best player on a contender.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Now, you could argue that Colorado can't win the national championship.
- 22:02SPEAKER_03: I'd probably agree, but being in the postseason when it matters, like that's I mean, for a Heisman candidacy, that's all it takes.
- 22:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, your team still has to be relevant this time of year for your play to matter.
- 22:13SPEAKER_02: And I've heard so many times over the last week that Colorado controls its own destiny.
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: Like that phrase is shut up.
- 22:22SPEAKER_02: I get it.
- 22:23SPEAKER_03: I get it.
- 22:23SPEAKER_03: Speaking of which, any any chance Arizona State spoils that for them?
- 22:27SPEAKER_03: Also, really, really hot now.
- 22:28SPEAKER_03: Sitting at eight and two, um, playing playing.
- 22:31SPEAKER_03: I mean, Kim Cam Scadaboo, uh Jordan Tyson, those guys are playing uh Sam Levitt, those guys are dealing.
- 22:36SPEAKER_03: Any are you buying the Arizona State hype going to kind of?
- 22:39SPEAKER_03: Blow us all up.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: I do kind of like it because they're kind of a similar team to Colorado in a lot of ways.
- 22:45SPEAKER_02: And that's kind of become the identity of the conference with the loss of BYU going down.
- 22:53SPEAKER_02: So it's kind of a fun story.
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: It's one of the few times this year where we'll see the conference championship really have a major impact because most of these teams, well, outside of the ACC, I guess, uh, will have both teams going into the playoff regardless of who wins the championship.
- 23:14SPEAKER_02: This will be a true sort of playoff playing game.
- 23:17SPEAKER_03: It's a play, yeah, it's a playoff playoff game.
- 23:19SPEAKER_03: The ACC game is kind of the same way in that respect.
- 23:21SPEAKER_03: Like whoever, you know, the Big Ten SEC, more likely than not, all four teams that are playing those games are going.
- 23:26SPEAKER_03: But no, in these two conferences, it's winner.
- 23:28SPEAKER_03: And you could you could make the even pick the case for the uh G5 game, but but I digress.
- 23:31SPEAKER_03: Uh, yeah, the Big 12, the point is it's going to be much-wash football.
- 23:35SPEAKER_03: And honestly, uh, two of the best games this week are Big 12 matchups at the top.
- 23:39SPEAKER_03: So uh we'll be well, we'll be talking about that in a little minute here.
- 23:42SPEAKER_03: Uh, Stanford upsets Louisville, number 19.
- 23:45SPEAKER_03: Mike, question for you.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: If there were any fans at that game, would they have rushed the field?
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, of course.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: Rushing the field is fun.
- 23:55SPEAKER_02: Everyone loves rushing the field.
- 23:57SPEAKER_02: There are games all across the country every year where teams rush the field, and you're like, really?
- 24:02SPEAKER_03: Did you happen to see the so obviously uh Stanford took down Louisville and exciting fashion to walk off field goal at the end?
- 24:07SPEAKER_03: Did you see the pan of the stadium?
- 24:09SPEAKER_03: Like, there was it looked like an Oakland athletics game.
- 24:12SPEAKER_03: There was nobody there.
- 24:13SPEAKER_03: I could have I could but wonder, like, wow, this is the biggest win for Stanford since like Jim Harbaugh, like Toby Gerhardt and those guys, and like nobody cares.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: Like, they're just yeah, and it's a crazy finish, too.
- 24:24SPEAKER_02: Like, what's the thing?
- 24:27SPEAKER_02: It was wild.
- 24:28SPEAKER_03: So it's funny because you know, security was looking around, they're like, We got this under control, they can't overwhelm us.
- 24:32SPEAKER_03: There's not there's not that many of them.
- 24:33SPEAKER_03: We could just we'll just if they try, we're just gonna stop them.
- 24:36SPEAKER_03: It's only we're just locking eyes with individuals like you, see you.
- 24:39SPEAKER_03: It's only like eight kids, so we'll just stop those eight kids that were all set.
- 24:43SPEAKER_03: Uh, congratulations to the Cardinal Big Trees, good for you.
- 24:46SPEAKER_03: Uh, Nebraska, you know, I'm wearing wearing we're not wearing red today for Nebraska.
- 24:50SPEAKER_03: Um, uh started five and one.
- 24:53SPEAKER_03: They are sitting at five and five, which is just a catastrophe.
- 24:58SPEAKER_03: Um, they've got Wisconsin at home this week, which they are favored slightly, and then at Iowa, which they're probably gonna be a small dog.
- 25:04SPEAKER_03: We're not talking about them missing a bull again, are we?
- 25:07SPEAKER_03: Like we're not we're not having that conversation, are we?
- 25:09SPEAKER_03: We're not gonna do that.
- 25:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Nebraska's absolutely cursed.
- 25:12SPEAKER_02: Uh it could happen for sure.
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: And it's it's it it's the same story every year for them.
- 25:19SPEAKER_02: Um, I don't know.
- 25:21SPEAKER_02: I can't explain it.
- 25:22SPEAKER_03: I can't explain either.
- 25:23SPEAKER_03: I really haven't made a bull game since 2016.
- 25:25SPEAKER_03: The frost era was essentially an abject failure for all things said and done.
- 25:28SPEAKER_03: Matt Rule, solid year one.
- 25:31SPEAKER_03: They are supposed to be a 7-8-win team this year.
- 25:34SPEAKER_03: Maybe they finished seven and five.
- 25:35SPEAKER_03: They really get their act together, but they are um in they are they are getting way too close to the same Nebraska that they've seen the last eight years.
- 25:43SPEAKER_03: I my heart goes out to Husker Nation for this.
- 25:45SPEAKER_02: This is looking and here's the string that they've been on at number four Ohio State.
- 25:49SPEAKER_02: They lost by four.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: Tough in LCL winnable games.
- 25:53SPEAKER_02: Who's terrible?
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: UCLA is terrible.
- 25:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, they lost by seven, Southern Cal lost by eight.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: Like, all again, one score games.
- 26:02SPEAKER_02: Illinois earlier in the year lost by seven.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: Like just one score games year after year after year.
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: There they've got to be like one and 40 in the game.
- 26:11SPEAKER_03: I think, yeah, I think Matt Rule was like 1-11 at all at Nebraska in one score games, which is just brutal.
- 26:16SPEAKER_03: So come on, get over the hump this week, win at Wisconsin.
- 26:19SPEAKER_03: Uh, speaking of Wisconsin, good transition.
- 26:21SPEAKER_03: Um, are you concerned at all about obviously they didn't cover one of the one of the two legs that ruined our mic blitz by the week?
- 26:27SPEAKER_03: Are you worried about Oregon's really lackluster performance at Wisconsin?
- 26:31SPEAKER_03: They could have lost that game.
- 26:32SPEAKER_03: I kind of watched the highlights um sped up.
- 26:34SPEAKER_03: Um, any any Oregon sleepwalking concerns?
- 26:37SPEAKER_03: They get a bye-week because they have a chance to get healthy now.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, I do think at this time of the year for national championship contenders, you you want to be playing your best football.
- 26:48SPEAKER_02: But we see it every year where a team kind of has a sleepwalking game or they win by some fluke turnover or something, and everyone looks back on that as like, man, if they hadn't won that, they wouldn't have won the national championship.
- 27:02SPEAKER_02: So I'm not super concerned because we see it every year in college football.
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: Fluky things happen, bounces of balls matter, and it takes a little luck to uh to go the distance.
- 27:12SPEAKER_03: Sure.
- 27:13SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's kind of my takeaway as well.
- 27:15SPEAKER_03: Like, you're I mean, I feel like every every national championship run that we've we've seen, there's always been one or two games where it's like, man, barely beat Illinois week seven, but it got it done, they won national championships.
- 27:25SPEAKER_03: So that's that's that's it's that's kind of in the same vein.
- 27:28SPEAKER_03: But obviously, you don't want to see your national chip contending number one team in the country having this kind of slip up so close to postseason.
- 27:34SPEAKER_03: But obviously, going into the bye should help.
- 27:37SPEAKER_03: Their last game's against the University of Washington, which I think they're gonna cruise easily, and then it's gonna be gearing up for what's likely going to be the Oregon-Ohio State rematch in Indianapolis.
- 27:46SPEAKER_03: Speaking of Wisconsin, though, uh, they fired Phil Longo off the coordinator, did a really good job at Ole Miss UNC throwing the ball a lot.
- 27:52SPEAKER_03: It just hasn't worked.
- 27:53SPEAKER_03: Obviously, the Tyler Van Dyke injury was uh didn't work, it was bad luck.
- 27:58SPEAKER_03: Tanner Mordecai was not the guy.
- 28:00SPEAKER_03: Brandon Locke can do some things.
- 28:02SPEAKER_03: This feels like a Wisconsin's not the team that's ever supposed to be throwing the ball.
- 28:07SPEAKER_03: They're supposed to be Brett Bielema, big boys, Hugh Mungus linemen, just Ron Dane, just running the bejesus out of the ball.
- 28:16SPEAKER_03: This feels like a the the college football universe knows what Wisconsin's supposed to be, and you tried something else, and now you got to go back to it.
- 28:24SPEAKER_03: Um, Luke Fickle is what I think a really good coach.
- 28:28SPEAKER_03: He's got to figure this thing out quickly.
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, pretty quickly.
- 28:32SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, getting rid of a coordinator buys you a little time, but not a lot of time.
- 28:38SPEAKER_02: No, not a lot of a year.
- 28:40SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and honestly, they're probably, I mean, I think everyone this year is almost over.
- 28:44SPEAKER_03: They're not gonna do anything particularly spectacular, but going to next year, I'm interested to see who they who they get.
- 28:49SPEAKER_03: I mean, the the best college football coaches, I think you and I agree, adapt.
- 28:53SPEAKER_03: You know, Nick Saban went from this bruiser, run the ball 2008-2009 mentality with Trent Richardson and Mark Ingram to obviously the Tua era open up the game.
- 29:04SPEAKER_03: Like good coaches do that.
- 29:05SPEAKER_03: Luke Fickle maximized what he had at Cincinnati really, really well with Sauce Gardner and Desmond Ritter.
- 29:10SPEAKER_03: Did a good job there.
- 29:11SPEAKER_03: Wisconsin, he I this felt like this always felt like square peg round hole.
- 29:16SPEAKER_03: If he saves its job, it's because he adapts better to what Wisconsin is known to do and it could do it well.
- 29:21SPEAKER_03: So I'm really interested to see because you know, we're talking just talking ago about how no coaches might be fired this year.
- 29:26SPEAKER_03: There might be like 15 fired next year.
- 29:28SPEAKER_03: You know, we might be on the and he might be one of those guys if he can't figure things out for the badgers.
- 29:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you've got your identity uh for sure, but if you can't get the exact right players to fit that, you have to adapt to your players.
- 29:43SPEAKER_02: So there's there's definitely some give and take that's not working.
- 29:47SPEAKER_03: Uh Clemson, uh, nice win.
- 29:49SPEAKER_03: Uh beat Pitt in uh kind of walk-off fashion, so to speak.
- 29:52SPEAKER_03: Kate Klubnick, she had a great game.
- 29:54SPEAKER_03: Uh he's is is Kate Klubnick good now?
- 29:56SPEAKER_03: 2,500 yards, 63.4% completion percentage, 26 to 4 TDI and T ratio.
- 30:01SPEAKER_03: He's rushing her to 340, four and a half yards carry, five rushdowns.
- 30:05SPEAKER_03: That was a hell of a 50-yard scamper to win the game.
- 30:08SPEAKER_03: Um, is Kate Klubnick back from the dead?
- 30:10SPEAKER_03: Or what's your uh is what you're single resurgence out of uh former five-star?
- 30:14SPEAKER_03: What's your uh Kate Klubnick uh Clemson takes?
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think you know Clemson has slowly continued to win and put themselves in a good position.
- 30:22SPEAKER_02: They don't get talked about a lot right now, um, but they're still in position right there at the top with SMU with uh Miami, where it could, you know, they could they could do some damage.
- 30:32SPEAKER_02: They're certainly talented enough.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: Um, if they can squeak into the playoff with with an ACC championship, um, you know, Clubnik's playing good ball.
- 30:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's probably their only way in.
- 30:43SPEAKER_03: I can't see the committee forgiving them for getting the doors blown them off by Georgia and then losing so bad to Louisville at home.
- 30:48SPEAKER_03: But if they win the ACC, none of that matters.
- 30:51SPEAKER_03: So they need a little bit of help from SMU or Miami.
- 30:53SPEAKER_03: But SMU and Miami both have losable games left.
- 30:56SPEAKER_03: I wouldn't bet on it, but it could happen.
- 30:58SPEAKER_03: If Clemson gets to where they played, Charlotte, I think.
- 31:01SPEAKER_03: The ACC championship in Charlotte, like that's their ticket in.
- 31:03SPEAKER_03: And if they're there, then I think they're live.
- 31:06SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm I've been impressed with what I saw at Clemson.
- 31:08SPEAKER_03: Um, pit has fallen off like we all kind of thought they were, having a good season anyway.
- 31:13SPEAKER_03: Um, but keep an eye on Clemson.
- 31:14SPEAKER_03: I think they're I think they're live.
- 31:15SPEAKER_03: I think they're live.
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and that Louisville loss to Stanford really kind of hurts the conference because Louisville was a solid team, you know, looking at seven and three, uh, a ranked team.
- 31:27SPEAKER_02: And uh yeah, that just hurts.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: It hurts.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: It hurts the overall credit.
- 31:30SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it hurts nothing.
- 31:31SPEAKER_03: It hurts.
- 31:31SPEAKER_03: I mean, that was Notre Dame's probably best win.
- 31:33SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's it's it has a trickle-down effect for sure.
- 31:35SPEAKER_03: All right, let's get let's get into the homers.
- 31:37SPEAKER_03: Uh, first of all, UVA got smothered by Notre Dame.
- 31:39SPEAKER_03: Nice, uh little meaningless backdoor cover.
- 31:42SPEAKER_03: I think they put Tony Muskin in the very end.
- 31:43SPEAKER_03: Calandria got picked off a whole bunch of times.
- 31:45SPEAKER_03: Notre Dame, I don't know if you watched this game.
- 31:47SPEAKER_03: Notre Dame just looked like bullies, they were just like bigger and stronger than UVA at every spot and just physically just smothered them.
- 31:54SPEAKER_03: That's what that's my only UVA kind of take on last week.
- 31:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's just one of those roster games.
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: You know, you you look across the field and every position, they're better than you.
- 32:05SPEAKER_02: And um, you know, UVA's been plucky and they continue to fight and and and and look pretty good at times, but uh just outclassed by uh the Irish.
- 32:14SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 32:14SPEAKER_03: UVA's got two shots left to make a bowl here.
- 32:17SPEAKER_03: Um, all right, let's talk about me.
- 32:18SPEAKER_03: LSU goes into Gainesville, loses uh 16-27.
- 32:22SPEAKER_03: Ugly game, horrible play calling.
- 32:24SPEAKER_03: Uh Garrett Nessmeyer is just straight up regressing.
- 32:27SPEAKER_03: Um, our playmakers on the outside are not doing him any favors.
- 32:31SPEAKER_03: We all saw the Chris Hilton uh snippet on Twitter of uh Brian Kelly getting in his face.
- 32:36SPEAKER_03: Chris Hilton has done that like 17 times.
- 32:38SPEAKER_03: So, you know, a lot of people were like, Oh, why is he on his players?
- 32:40SPEAKER_03: Chris Hilton has been playing like that all season.
- 32:43SPEAKER_02: Well, Kyra Lacey and and um and they had the same uh similar exchange.
- 32:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Kyron Lacey also also has not shown up.
- 32:50SPEAKER_03: He has not been our go-to guy, but like that's not why we that's not why we lost.
- 32:54SPEAKER_03: Um, our offensive line, especially on the interior, is really bad.
- 32:58SPEAKER_03: Play calling has been bad, and Nuss is regressing.
- 33:01SPEAKER_03: He's regressing.
- 33:02SPEAKER_03: He is he is off his back foot, going to coverage, you know.
- 33:06SPEAKER_03: LSU has a monster, monster, monster recruiting class with what looks like five five stars committed at this point for LSU.
- 33:14SPEAKER_03: Finish strong, finish respectful, get all of those guys signed at early signing day, which is in like two and a half weeks.
- 33:21SPEAKER_03: Like we're right here, we are right here.
- 33:23SPEAKER_03: Just survive these next two weeks and build for the future.
- 33:26SPEAKER_03: I mean, that's where we are.
- 33:27SPEAKER_03: That's kind of where we are.
- 33:28SPEAKER_03: All of our playoff hopes were permanently extinguished.
- 33:31SPEAKER_03: With that, we had a backdoor way of maybe sneaking in with tiebreakers to Atlanta.
- 33:35SPEAKER_03: That's all over.
- 33:36SPEAKER_03: Just don't look embarrassing down the stretch.
- 33:38SPEAKER_03: That's all that's really all we all we have to play for at this point.
- 33:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this one hurts.
- 33:42SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, there's no other way to say it.
- 33:46SPEAKER_02: Uh, this is a game that LSU should have won.
- 33:49SPEAKER_02: Um, it it just definitely puts more doubt and and look and Brian Kelly's seat gets a little warmer.
- 33:55SPEAKER_02: Um, but this year is not gonna make or break him either way.
- 33:59SPEAKER_02: Uh, and you know, like you said, the future is next year anyway.
- 34:02SPEAKER_02: But yeah, you just this one felt a lot more on the coaching staff.
- 34:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we did have a players-only meeting this week, which you know, we'll see.
- 34:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, which is a maybe something, you know.
- 34:14SPEAKER_03: What I don't what I really don't want, I mean, I'm honestly, you know, the cliche is like, oh, it's like the players-only meeting, like now they're gonna do something.
- 34:20SPEAKER_03: It is indicative that they care and they're still playing for them.
- 34:22SPEAKER_03: That's that was my big fear.
- 34:24SPEAKER_03: The only reason we should lose to Vanderbilt or Oklahoma, which are both home SEC games.
- 34:29SPEAKER_03: Um, the only reason we should lose either of them is if we don't show up.
- 34:32SPEAKER_03: If they continue to fight for LSU and continue to play, we should be fine.
- 34:37SPEAKER_03: So they just we we need that to happen.
- 34:40SPEAKER_03: So I'm I like to see the seniors taking some leadership.
- 34:43SPEAKER_03: Um, this offseason is going to be very interesting between the portal, all the five stars, the early enrollees, who's gonna show up and play.
- 34:50SPEAKER_03: Um, so obviously, as you can hear in my voice, I'm looking towards 2025.
- 34:54SPEAKER_03: But you, yeah, you you are still alive.
- 34:56SPEAKER_03: You are still alive.
- 34:57SPEAKER_03: Let's talk quickly about tough loss.
- 34:59SPEAKER_03: Technically, technically, technically still alive.
- 35:01SPEAKER_03: Might need a little bit of help.
- 35:02SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about it really quick.
- 35:03SPEAKER_03: Uh, uh Tennessee went to Athens and lost uh 31-17.
- 35:07SPEAKER_03: I think they were tied 17-17 at the half.
- 35:09SPEAKER_03: Um 17-17 at the half, down a touchdown.
- 35:12SPEAKER_02: Um, Georgia punches one in with two minutes left in the game to make it a two-score win for the Bulldogs.
- 35:19SPEAKER_02: Uh, this was a close game, um, but a frustrating one.
- 35:23SPEAKER_02: Um, Georgia, this game did not go how I thought it would go at all.
- 35:27SPEAKER_02: Um, and I don't know exactly why.
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: I think uh play calling for the Vols on offense and defense was a little too conservative.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: Uh, didn't bring enough pressures, didn't heat up Carson Beck at all.
- 35:39SPEAKER_02: He looked great.
- 35:40SPEAKER_02: He did look good.
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: And it was our the worst game that our defense has played all year.
- 35:45SPEAKER_02: And you know, the the only consistent thing about this game was that Dylan Sampson, you know, he got his 100 plus and a touchdown.
- 35:55SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, not enough plays downfield for the balls, didn't even really attempt to to go for any deep balls.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: Um, so yeah, I just think it was one of those games.
- 36:06SPEAKER_02: We it was a very poorly officiated game.
- 36:09SPEAKER_02: Uh big calls, big calls went against the balls.
- 36:13SPEAKER_02: Um, but they could have gone either way.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: So I'm not I'm definitely not blaming the officials.
- 36:17SPEAKER_02: Uh got outplayed by Georgia at night in Athens.
- 36:20SPEAKER_02: Um Vols looked good, not like a national championship team.
- 36:24SPEAKER_02: I was hoping to see them kind of take a little bit of a step, uh, especially on offense.
- 36:29SPEAKER_02: Um but yeah, I mean, there's a reason that Georgia has won at home, you know, 20 straight plus five years in a row, uh whatever it is.
- 36:39SPEAKER_02: Uh so yeah, tough, tough loss, but um not a surprising one.
- 36:44SPEAKER_03: Beating Georgia in Athens is tough to do.
- 36:47SPEAKER_03: News at 11.
- 36:47SPEAKER_03: I mean, who we all we all kind of knew that was going to the case.
- 36:50SPEAKER_03: Um, I thought Beck, I'm kind of my takeaways.
- 36:52SPEAKER_03: I watched this game as well.
- 36:53SPEAKER_03: Carson Beck finally showed up.
- 36:54SPEAKER_03: This was his best game all year, I think.
- 36:56SPEAKER_03: Would you I mean, you know, I mean, maybe in the Clemson game, like didn't turn the ball over, did what he was supposed to do finally.
- 37:03SPEAKER_03: That helped.
- 37:03SPEAKER_03: Um, you know, when we talked preseason about Tennessee, we said where they might be gettable is the secondary.
- 37:08SPEAKER_03: I thought they played okay, um, but you know, they weren't they weren't excellent.
- 37:13SPEAKER_03: Um, I think you know they they didn't take advantage of Carson Beck having an off day, which didn't have Dylan Sampson.
- 37:18SPEAKER_03: I think you're right on he looks so good.
- 37:19SPEAKER_03: He is an NFL back that there ever was.
- 37:21SPEAKER_03: He just looks powerful and strong and fast and decisive.
- 37:24SPEAKER_03: I thought he looked great.
- 37:26SPEAKER_03: I thought Nico played pretty well, all things considered.
- 37:28SPEAKER_03: I thought um, I think they only got sacked once in the fourth quarter, right?
- 37:32SPEAKER_03: The only one gave up one sack.
- 37:33SPEAKER_03: Is that right?
- 37:34SPEAKER_02: He had some key scrambles.
- 37:36SPEAKER_02: Um, he played well enough to win if the defense had played their A game.
- 37:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and the defense really put up kind of their C game.
- 37:46SPEAKER_02: So yeah, uh it wasn't on brand for what the balls have been this year.
- 37:50SPEAKER_02: Uh the offensive um kind of efficiency was good enough, uh, especially in Athens.
- 37:56SPEAKER_02: I think there was only like one false start penalty that I can think of, not a lot of like holding calls.
- 38:01SPEAKER_02: Um, just a you know, a pretty solid game.
- 38:04SPEAKER_02: But if you want to go into Athens, you have to be a little more exceptional.
- 38:07SPEAKER_02: And they just didn't get the production that you want to see, you know, no splash plays.
- 38:12SPEAKER_02: Um, and and Georgia played really well.
- 38:14SPEAKER_02: They played their best game in in several games, probably.
- 38:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and uh yeah, and we can we can talk about the minor stuff, like the calls.
- 38:21SPEAKER_03: I mean, I I saw some of the some of the fishing.
- 38:23SPEAKER_03: I think I agree with you.
- 38:24SPEAKER_03: Um, I think at its core, I think the biggest thing I would argue was I think Beck just had his best game.
- 38:28SPEAKER_03: And you know, when you're talking about a potential first-round quarterback with at Georgia with that defense in Athens, having his best game, that's just tough to overcome.
- 38:36SPEAKER_03: And uh uh, but it's okay.
- 38:38SPEAKER_03: The Vols are still live.
- 38:40SPEAKER_03: Um, anything else before we move on to week 13?
- 38:44SPEAKER_02: No, let's do it.
- 38:45SPEAKER_03: Oh, so really quickly, uh, Virginia Tech was on a bye, they're playing this in week.
- 38:48SPEAKER_03: So they're sitting at 10 and two.
- 38:50SPEAKER_03: Um, what do you we right now the the committee has Tennessee look on the outside?
- 38:55SPEAKER_03: I think we kind of already talked about it, but Tennessee has to win out, obviously, and they need a little bit of help, either in a Notre Dame loss, a Ole Miss loss, an Alabama loss.
- 39:04SPEAKER_03: Are you kind of in that in the same agreement that I mean, go ahead.
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think there are they're right on the outside looking in.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: So, you know, it's still right there, everything to play for gotta win out, obviously.
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: And you really want to do it in impressive fashion.
- 39:17SPEAKER_02: Uh, they were talking about Texas's really good win being the Vanderbilt win.
- 39:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 39:23SPEAKER_02: Tennessee has Vanderbilt finished the season.
- 39:25SPEAKER_02: So you put Vanderbilt away.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: That's one more thing that could potentially help you.
- 39:29SPEAKER_02: Um, but I think yeah, Notre Dame losing, um, Indiana getting blown out.
- 39:34SPEAKER_02: Um, there's a couple other things that miss losing to Florida that could happen.
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Ole Miss losing to Florida, that would be a big one.
- 39:40SPEAKER_02: Um, so yeah, there's different scenarios.
- 39:42SPEAKER_02: It's not, you know, we're right on the edge.
- 39:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:45SPEAKER_03: So it's you know, it's it's Tennessee's, they're gonna win both their games, and we're gonna talk about one of them here in a second.
- 39:49SPEAKER_03: They're playing UTEP this week.
- 39:51SPEAKER_03: Um, and of all of the things they need to happen, none of them are great chances, but it's like seven or eight things, and you really only need one.
- 39:58SPEAKER_03: Like I think Tennessee is that 13th team, for lack of better words.
- 40:02SPEAKER_03: So as long as they handle business and they get just a little bit of chaos.
- 40:06SPEAKER_03: This is college football, and we're going to Rivalry Week.
- 40:08SPEAKER_03: This happens every year.
- 40:10SPEAKER_02: So and Minnesota beat Penn State.
- 40:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's oh, of course.
- 40:14SPEAKER_03: And they, yeah, Penn State cannot afford to lose a second one.
- 40:16SPEAKER_03: Um, I think that's that's a short line, too.
- 40:18SPEAKER_03: I think it's only like five or six points as of right now.
- 40:20SPEAKER_03: I think that's next week.
- 40:21SPEAKER_03: But so absolutely they are certainly live in that respect.
- 40:25SPEAKER_03: Uh, very cool.
- 40:27SPEAKER_03: Um, so let's go ahead and uh pick some winners.
- 40:30SPEAKER_03: Let's give people what they want.
- 40:31SPEAKER_03: Let's win, let's win a big parlay this week.
- 40:33SPEAKER_03: Let's do uh let's do week 13 picks.
- 40:36SPEAKER_03: Uh, here we go.
- 40:37SPEAKER_05: All I do is win, win, win, no matter what.
- 40:40SPEAKER_03: All right, uh, starting at the top, let's go with uh Army versus Notre Dame.
- 40:43SPEAKER_03: Notre Dame is a 15 and a half point favorite.
- 40:45SPEAKER_03: Over-under is 44 and a half.
- 40:47SPEAKER_03: That's a low over-under for a 15 and a half 15 and a half spread.
- 40:50SPEAKER_03: The game is at Yankee Stadium, which is so lame.
- 40:53SPEAKER_03: I don't know why they do this.
- 40:55SPEAKER_03: I somebody played in who played in uh Northwestern, played Ohio State in Cub in the Wrigley field last week.
- 41:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, they did this, they started this several years ago, and it seems like they do it like once a year.
- 41:06SPEAKER_02: And it's I don't know that it's good for anybody.
- 41:08SPEAKER_02: No, it's it's a novelty, it seems cool, but like it's not good for the fans, it's not good for viewing.
- 41:14SPEAKER_02: They have to do weird things with the field.
- 41:15SPEAKER_03: It's yeah, like the upright, it's sometimes they can only kick one direction, but they have to like keep flipping the field.
- 41:22SPEAKER_03: Uh, so they're playing in Yankee Stadium, uh, whatever.
- 41:25SPEAKER_03: Um, uh, I I'm expecting Notre Dame to do what they did to UVA, just bully them.
- 41:31SPEAKER_03: I love Army, I love Bryson Daly, I love the story.
- 41:34SPEAKER_03: They play fast football.
- 41:35SPEAKER_03: Um, this is gonna be another.
- 41:37SPEAKER_03: This is, I mean, I'm this is gonna be a theme for me this week with my picks.
- 41:41SPEAKER_03: Uh, athlete quality versus athlete quality.
- 41:43SPEAKER_03: And this is just a massive discrepancy.
- 41:46SPEAKER_03: I got Notre Dame, Notre Dame's strikes a schedule of 20th, Army is 133rd, they really haven't played anybody.
- 41:52SPEAKER_03: Um, being undefeated is great, but you know, even if Army plays a perfect game, Bryson Daly does what he does.
- 41:59SPEAKER_03: Like, I got Notre Dame by like 20.
- 42:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm actually so 14 and a half seems like a low line to me.
- 42:06SPEAKER_02: Um, that's not that hard.
- 42:08SPEAKER_02: I mean, it this could be a one-score game in the fourth, and you know, and and Notre Dame kicks a field goal um and then scores late.
- 42:16SPEAKER_02: I mean, I it's I just don't see this being a knockdown drag out.
- 42:21SPEAKER_02: And I think Notre Dame, yeah, like has much better athletes.
- 42:24SPEAKER_02: It's Army's great story.
- 42:25SPEAKER_02: I would love to see them going to uh New York and pull out the upset, but I just don't see it happening.
- 42:32SPEAKER_02: I don't, I just no way.
- 42:34SPEAKER_03: So are you with me?
- 42:35SPEAKER_03: We both have Notre Dame covering the 14 and a half, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:38SPEAKER_03: Okay, yeah.
- 42:39SPEAKER_03: What's the final this the over under is 44 and a half?
- 42:41SPEAKER_03: What's the final score of that game gonna be?
- 42:43SPEAKER_03: I'm not thinking 44 and a half.
- 42:45SPEAKER_03: I mean, I'm thinking like it's like 30.
- 42:47SPEAKER_03: I mean, it might be like 31-7, 38-7.
- 42:49SPEAKER_03: Just like how how is Army gonna score?
- 42:51SPEAKER_03: How is Army gonna score until the second half when they're not when they're playing on their bench warmers?
- 42:54SPEAKER_03: Like, I just I don't see that happening.
- 42:56SPEAKER_02: Well, and the thing is, is you cannot be one-dimensional in these big games where the other team has better athletes than you.
- 43:02SPEAKER_02: Like, you can scheme certain things open and and maybe they hit a big player or two on like a trick play, or like you know, they line up, they they throw a lot of misdirection at them, but you can't do it consistently in a game like this because they're just bigger and faster than you.
- 43:17SPEAKER_02: And and those holes, you know, that they're just not gonna be there consistently.
- 43:22SPEAKER_03: I can see a world where they where where uh Army has like a perfect game strip coming out of the cut, gets the ball first, has a 12-15 game, perfectly scripted, gets a touchdown.
- 43:32SPEAKER_03: Notre Dame makes two or three quick adjustments, that's it, and cuts them off.
- 43:35SPEAKER_03: So I could even see that happening where they get a quick score easily, and then Notre Dame.
- 43:39SPEAKER_03: I we well, I think we're both agree.
- 43:40SPEAKER_03: Athlete on athlete.
- 43:41SPEAKER_03: Uh, speaking of the next athlete on athlete game, Indiana at Ohio State.
- 43:45SPEAKER_03: This game is on big noon.
- 43:47SPEAKER_03: So bad what the big noon is doing to the Big Ten.
- 43:49SPEAKER_03: All of their games are so lame.
- 43:51SPEAKER_03: All of their big games are at noon every day.
- 43:53SPEAKER_03: That's a that's a story for another day.
- 43:55SPEAKER_02: It hurts the conference.
- 43:56SPEAKER_03: It does hurt the conference.
- 43:58SPEAKER_03: It hurts their viewership.
- 43:59SPEAKER_03: Um, this spread was 12 and a half, moved to 13 and a half.
- 44:03SPEAKER_03: So it's money on Ohio State over under 51 and a half.
- 44:07SPEAKER_03: For me, this game came down to what I saw in the Indiana-Michigan game two weeks ago when Indiana had Michigan at home.
- 44:14SPEAKER_03: Michigan was by far the best team they had played.
- 44:16SPEAKER_03: They Michigan has is deeply flawed for a lot of reasons, we all know, but has four stars and five stars.
- 44:23SPEAKER_03: Indiana needed a fourth quarter, two minute drive stop to win that game against a barely bull eligible Michigan squad.
- 44:31SPEAKER_03: Now you got Ohio State coming in, playing in Columbus, even better athletes than Michigan and at way more spots, and they Have incredible coordinators in Jim Knowles defense and Chip Kelly on offense.
- 44:44SPEAKER_03: This is the end of the Indiana fairy tale.
- 44:47SPEAKER_03: I'm really happy for Kirk Sanetti.
- 44:49SPEAKER_03: Happy for JMU West.
- 44:50SPEAKER_03: Happy for Hoosier Nation.
- 44:51SPEAKER_03: Happy for Extension.
- 44:52SPEAKER_03: I think he's a great coach.
- 44:52SPEAKER_03: He's gonna do great things.
- 44:54SPEAKER_03: Another existence, this is the Army Notre Dame game.
- 44:56SPEAKER_03: Again, give me Ohio State by 50.
- 44:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I agree with you.
- 45:00SPEAKER_02: I don't think it's gonna be by 50 because I think Indiana's gonna come in there and play a good game.
- 45:05SPEAKER_02: You know, I think it's probably a good first half.
- 45:07SPEAKER_02: You know, you're looking up and it's maybe Ohio State by a touchdown.
- 45:10SPEAKER_02: I do think they cover.
- 45:12SPEAKER_02: If this was in Indiana, maybe you know, Indiana night game, maybe you know the biggest game in ever.
- 45:20SPEAKER_03: Nobody goes into Bloomington at night and pushes them around.
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 45:23SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 45:23SPEAKER_02: But it's not, and you know, home field advantage is so, so, so, so big.
- 45:28SPEAKER_02: And I think the stage is gonna be a little too big for Indiana to continue this run.
- 45:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 45:34SPEAKER_02: Ohio State Cups.
- 45:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, uh, athlete on athlete, big win.
- 45:38SPEAKER_03: All right, uh, Illinois at Rutgers.
- 45:40SPEAKER_03: Ruckers is six wins.
- 45:41SPEAKER_03: They're going, uh, they're going bowling.
- 45:43SPEAKER_03: Ruckers is actually a point and a half spread.
- 45:45SPEAKER_03: Mike, you might remember we had a disagreement about a certain coach getting a win.
- 45:50SPEAKER_03: Oh wow, the line is flipped.
- 45:52SPEAKER_03: Uh-oh.
- 45:52SPEAKER_03: Um, he it's he's at six wins.
- 45:54SPEAKER_03: This is the game to six and a half, which is their over-over win total.
- 45:57SPEAKER_03: Uh, the spread was Ruckers minus one and a half.
- 46:00SPEAKER_03: It's actually flipped.
- 46:01SPEAKER_03: Oh no, now it's Ruckers plus one.
- 46:03SPEAKER_03: So Vegas loves Illinois.
- 46:06SPEAKER_03: Wow, that gives me major pause.
- 46:07SPEAKER_03: All of the things I was about to say, I'm now uh backtracking.
- 46:10SPEAKER_03: Um over under 48 points.
- 46:12SPEAKER_03: Uh, what's your Illinois Ruckers takes?
- 46:14SPEAKER_03: This game's in in New Jersey.
- 46:15SPEAKER_03: I've got them, I've got a few takes.
- 46:17SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, I'm not a Ciano believer.
- 46:20SPEAKER_02: Um, I'm I'm not.
- 46:21SPEAKER_02: I'm not a I'm not a believer.
- 46:23SPEAKER_02: Um, but you know, Ciano's burned us, man.
- 46:27SPEAKER_02: We we yeah, we were riding riding riding against Ruckers a couple weeks ago in the parlay.
- 46:33SPEAKER_02: Um, I kind of think Illinois is is just a better team.
- 46:36SPEAKER_02: Uh I I kind of want to go against Ciano again, but for me, this being kind of a pick-um, I think it's a little bit of a stay away.
- 46:42SPEAKER_03: I mean, you know, I'll be honest with you, since the line has moved so much, and that which usually means smart people know more than we do, now I kind of want to bet Illinois.
- 46:49SPEAKER_03: I kind of wonder if they're if they're gonna win.
- 46:52SPEAKER_03: Um, I came in here thinking I was gonna pick Ruckers, and that big of a line move, favorite to dog, is is really telling.
- 46:58SPEAKER_03: Um, I could stay away as well, but if you want to take Illinois, I'd ride that.
- 47:02SPEAKER_03: What do you want to do?
- 47:05SPEAKER_02: Suck it, Chiana.
- 47:06SPEAKER_02: Give me the Alana.
- 47:07SPEAKER_03: Give me the Illina.
- 47:08SPEAKER_03: All right, we'll do the we'll do the Illinois money line, which is like minus 118th.
- 47:11SPEAKER_03: Pretty much pickups that works.
- 47:12SPEAKER_03: Uh, all right, these are the two chaos games.
- 47:15SPEAKER_03: Uh BYU just came off a loss at Arizona State.
- 47:18SPEAKER_03: Arizona State is rolling.
- 47:19SPEAKER_03: They are actually now three and a half point favorites.
- 47:22SPEAKER_03: Let me double check that.
- 47:23SPEAKER_03: Arizona State.
- 47:25SPEAKER_03: Minus three.
- 47:25SPEAKER_03: So they've they lost the hook.
- 47:26SPEAKER_03: So three-point favorites um at home.
- 47:29SPEAKER_03: Uh there um Cam Scatterboom, the running back that we all love.
- 47:32SPEAKER_03: He's he's awesome.
- 47:34SPEAKER_03: Sam Levitt and Jordan Tyson.
- 47:35SPEAKER_03: Jordan Tyson last week had 12 catches, 170 yards, and two touchdowns.
- 47:39SPEAKER_03: He is actually might be the best receiver in Arizona, which is crazy because we all thought Tet McMillan might have been that guy.
- 47:45SPEAKER_03: Jordan Tyson is awesome.
- 47:47SPEAKER_03: Arizona State's off offense is absolutely rolling.
- 47:50SPEAKER_03: What Kenny Billingham is doing with them is great.
- 47:52SPEAKER_03: The BYU luster is gone for me.
- 47:55SPEAKER_03: Arizona State is getting them at home.
- 47:56SPEAKER_03: They only need cover three.
- 47:58SPEAKER_03: Their offense actually has elite athletes at wide receiver, quarterback, and running back.
- 48:03SPEAKER_03: I got the Sun Devils just ending the BYU dream this week.
- 48:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm trying not to be a victim of the moment here, but I kind of just feel like I don't feel like I am because we've kind of been down on BYU all year.
- 48:16SPEAKER_02: And I think they're just now getting into like some games that make more sense for them to lose.
- 48:21SPEAKER_02: So yeah, I'm with you on this one, especially at home.
- 48:24SPEAKER_02: Uh, Sun Devils three.
- 48:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, give me that.
- 48:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, good stuff.
- 48:28SPEAKER_03: All right, cool.
- 48:29SPEAKER_03: Um, Colorado number three, minus three at Kansas over under is 59 and a half.
- 48:35SPEAKER_03: This is what I'm calling the Mike Wade game of the week.
- 48:41SPEAKER_03: Really for Northern Reason.
- 48:42SPEAKER_03: How can we get your own game of the week?
- 48:43SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 48:44SPEAKER_03: You can have one too if you want.
- 48:45SPEAKER_03: I just made that thing up like five minutes ago.
- 48:46SPEAKER_03: Um, I the only reason I'm calling this the game of the week, I just think it's gonna be really exciting.
- 48:49SPEAKER_03: So obviously, we were Mike and I talked about Kansas in the offseason, kind of a dark horse to win.
- 48:55SPEAKER_03: Season did not go the way they want, but that was because J Lon Daniels, the quarterback, and Devin Neal running back, are both electric.
- 49:01SPEAKER_03: Those guys are both dealing, they are awesome.
- 49:04SPEAKER_03: They were key in the BYU upset last week.
- 49:06SPEAKER_03: My point, Colorado with Shadur Sanders, Travis Hunter, and all those guys.
- 49:10SPEAKER_03: Um, at Kansas, J-Lon Daniels, Devin Neal.
- 49:13SPEAKER_03: I don't know who's gonna win.
- 49:14SPEAKER_03: I want Colorado to win, so I want them to win the Big 12, but like the over-under is 59 and a half.
- 49:19SPEAKER_03: I just think this game at 330 is going to be electric, must watch, tons of crazy plays, breakdown, broken play, scrambles, Travis Hunter, Jalen Daniels.
- 49:29SPEAKER_03: Give me your I mean, what do you got?
- 49:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we this one will be exciting.
- 49:35SPEAKER_02: So I appreciate um this being the Mike Wade game of the week.
- 49:39SPEAKER_02: Um, we haven't, I don't think we've been wrong on a Colorado game.
- 49:43SPEAKER_03: That's the other thing.
- 49:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they've been paying us.
- 49:46SPEAKER_02: It's true.
- 49:47SPEAKER_02: Um, and so even though that's a high over-under, I kind of like the over.
- 49:52SPEAKER_02: Tell me what you think.
- 49:55SPEAKER_03: I think everyone.
- 49:58SPEAKER_03: I mean, Colorado scored 49 points.
- 50:03SPEAKER_03: The over-under last week was 46 points, and Colorado did it by themselves.
- 50:06SPEAKER_03: You're right.
- 50:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm not gonna overthink it.
- 50:08SPEAKER_03: I know it's a square play because everyone's thinking the same thing we are, but neither team is really gonna play great defense.
- 50:13SPEAKER_03: There could be some like pick sixes, there could be some scooping scores.
- 50:17SPEAKER_03: Um, Shadur Sanders is gonna throw the ball around a lot.
- 50:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, let's just do it.
- 50:21SPEAKER_03: Let's go Colorado over.
- 50:22SPEAKER_03: I don't care.
- 50:23SPEAKER_03: Um, every every instinct, and the reason I'm really doing it is because every instinct you and I have had about Colorado so far this year has been correct.
- 50:30SPEAKER_03: I think we're five and own on Colorado picks.
- 50:31SPEAKER_03: So we're so on on top of Prime.
- 50:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Coach Prime and you and I are brain melding.
- 50:36SPEAKER_03: Uh, Wisconsin at Nebraska.
- 50:38SPEAKER_03: Nebraska is a two and a half point favorite, at least when I wrote this down.
- 50:41SPEAKER_03: Let me double check right now.
- 50:42SPEAKER_03: Still two and a half line hasn't moved at all.
- 50:44SPEAKER_03: Um, Wisconsin fired their OC, so we might see a bounce out of that.
- 50:49SPEAKER_03: Uh Nebraska's at home.
- 50:52SPEAKER_03: This is Nebraska's best chance to get their sixth win by far.
- 50:55SPEAKER_03: The game at Iowa is gonna be much tougher.
- 50:57SPEAKER_03: The over-under is 42 and a half.
- 51:00SPEAKER_03: I have no idea what's gonna happen in this game, Mike.
- 51:02SPEAKER_03: What do you got?
- 51:03SPEAKER_02: Um, I kind of like Nebraska and in a bounce back, even though they've they're on a four-game skid.
- 51:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 51:09SPEAKER_02: Uh and Wisconsin just played a great game against Oregon.
- 51:12SPEAKER_02: So um, I don't know what to expect here.
- 51:14SPEAKER_02: You know, I'm not feeling strong about it, but um, I do kind of like Nebraska.
- 51:19SPEAKER_03: I kind of like the under 40.
- 51:21SPEAKER_03: The more I look at this game, I'm looking at 42 and a half.
- 51:23SPEAKER_03: I mean, both teams have been super struggle busts on offense.
- 51:26SPEAKER_03: They've both teams have fired their offensive coordinators this year.
- 51:29SPEAKER_03: Um, so like, why do we think this game is going to be a like a big scoring game?
- 51:35SPEAKER_03: It's gonna be a big 10, it's gonna be cold in Lincoln.
- 51:38SPEAKER_03: I mean, can I talk into the under 42 and a half?
- 51:40SPEAKER_03: We could get can I get can I get you to 2016 type game?
- 51:43SPEAKER_03: That's it's kind of a low over under, but sure.
- 51:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, all right.
- 51:46SPEAKER_03: Oh sorry, let's do Nebraska under.
- 51:47SPEAKER_03: I think that's I think that's the play.
- 51:49SPEAKER_03: Under 42 and a half, under all right, cool, cool, cool, cool.
- 51:54SPEAKER_03: Um, so so far we got five legs.
- 51:57SPEAKER_03: Yes, we do.
- 51:57SPEAKER_03: All right, keep it rolling.
- 51:58SPEAKER_03: Um, Baylor, uh, minus eight at Houston.
- 52:02SPEAKER_03: Houston, uh 50 and a half.
- 52:03SPEAKER_03: Uh, Houston has done some things, they've gotten a little bit better.
- 52:06SPEAKER_03: Willie Fritz is the coach they brought over from Tulane.
- 52:09SPEAKER_03: They're still bad, but this is year one rebuilding.
- 52:12SPEAKER_03: Baylor just got extended.
- 52:13SPEAKER_03: Their offense, Sawyer Robinson, they are really, really good.
- 52:17SPEAKER_03: This is a classic example of what would have happened to Baylor this year if they had started Sawyer Robertson all year instead of doing instead of the Finn experience, the uh the Toledo transfer.
- 52:27SPEAKER_03: Um, kind of like SMU.
- 52:29SPEAKER_03: Like we all thought it was Preston Stone and Kevin Jennings, they got a whole lot better.
- 52:32SPEAKER_03: Um, Jennings has been electric.
- 52:35SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 52:35SPEAKER_03: This is the Baylor, Baylor's offense is awesome.
- 52:38SPEAKER_03: They are scoring a bajillion points.
- 52:41SPEAKER_03: I'm really impressed with them.
- 52:42SPEAKER_03: They went into Morgantown last week and hung 50 on the nears.
- 52:45SPEAKER_03: Why do we think why do we think Houston is gonna put up more resistance than West Virginia did?
- 52:50SPEAKER_03: Like, I got Baylor big.
- 52:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I do too.
- 52:54SPEAKER_02: This is a definitely a kind of a spot game for me.
- 52:56SPEAKER_02: Baylor is surging.
- 52:57SPEAKER_02: I mean, look at their offensive production over the last four games 59, 38, 37, 49.
- 53:03SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, give me Baylor.
- 53:04SPEAKER_02: This one's easy for me, so we're they'll we'll probably lose it.
- 53:07unknown: Yep.
- 53:08SPEAKER_03: Good stuff.
- 53:08SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 53:09SPEAKER_03: We've got so far we've got one, two, three, four, five, six legs, and then we've got the homers to go.
- 53:13SPEAKER_03: Uh, let's do the two ones we can't bet on first.
- 53:15SPEAKER_03: Uh, SMU minus nine and a half at UVA over 58 and a half.
- 53:18SPEAKER_03: This game's in Charlottesville, so that's nice.
- 53:21SPEAKER_03: Um, the difference between this game and the Notre Dame game is SMU doesn't have big, humongous, super strong guys.
- 53:27SPEAKER_03: UVA's athletes are in a lot of spots are kind of more on par with what they have.
- 53:32SPEAKER_03: Um, SC uh SMU.
- 53:33SPEAKER_03: SMU is much, much, much less physical than Notre Dame.
- 53:37SPEAKER_03: I think UVA is live.
- 53:38SPEAKER_03: Um, this is a this is kind of one of those spots where I don't know if SMU sleepwalks, maybe they drop one.
- 53:44SPEAKER_03: Um I don't know.
- 53:45SPEAKER_03: I think I think the over is gonna hit two, though.
- 53:47SPEAKER_02: No, I think see, I think while they're they might not be that might not have the size and physicality, they've got the speed.
- 53:53SPEAKER_02: SMU is going to razzle dazzle and just smoke in mirrors and and speed down the sideline.
- 53:59SPEAKER_02: I think SMU wins and covers this.
- 54:01SPEAKER_02: Even though I do think I respect what UV's done this year.
- 54:04SPEAKER_02: Um, I just don't think they they they can keep Jennings in a bottle.
- 54:09SPEAKER_03: Those of you out of state, we are we're calling that a stay away.
- 54:11SPEAKER_03: No, we can't bet on anyway.
- 54:12SPEAKER_03: Uh Virginia Tech uh minus three at Duke in Durham.
- 54:16SPEAKER_03: Um over under is 47 and a half.
- 54:19SPEAKER_03: This is a gotta have it for Virginia Tech.
- 54:21SPEAKER_03: The season went off the rails.
- 54:23SPEAKER_03: It just did.
- 54:23SPEAKER_03: It was there, they were five and five.
- 54:25SPEAKER_03: They honestly should have been eight and two or seven and three at this point, just didn't work out.
- 54:29SPEAKER_03: Things we all we've talked about a million times coming off a bye.
- 54:32SPEAKER_03: So I without checking, I'm gonna assume that drones and Tutin are healthy.
- 54:36SPEAKER_03: Um, and this is the game that Virginia Tech and Pry has to have.
- 54:41SPEAKER_03: I mean, honestly, if Virginia Tech loses somehow loses this week and then loses UVA and they're five and seven, he might be the guy getting the axe.
- 54:48SPEAKER_03: We couldn't even talk about him in terms of coaches fired.
- 54:50SPEAKER_03: This is a must-win, if there ever was a must-win for Pry and Virginia Tech.
- 54:55SPEAKER_03: So for that reason, I got them showing up and beating um uh Duke.
- 55:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think they're the better team.
- 55:03SPEAKER_02: I think they're they're they've looked solid.
- 55:05SPEAKER_02: They've their ceiling is higher, their their floor is higher.
- 55:09SPEAKER_02: Um, and I just think that this is a good get right game for them after the bots.
- 55:14SPEAKER_02: So yeah, give me tech.
- 55:15SPEAKER_03: Tech.
- 55:15SPEAKER_03: All right, very cool.
- 55:16SPEAKER_03: All right, let's talk about our homers.
- 55:18SPEAKER_03: Uh UTEP uh at Tennessee, the miners.
- 55:21SPEAKER_03: UTEP, UTEP miners.
- 55:23SPEAKER_03: Uh spread is 41 and a half.
- 55:25SPEAKER_03: I think.
- 55:25SPEAKER_03: Let me double check that.
- 55:27SPEAKER_03: Um, I think at least it was last time I wrote the Tennessee.
- 55:29SPEAKER_03: 42, move to 42 over under 52.
- 55:32SPEAKER_03: So Vegas only thinks that UTEP is gonna get 10 points.
- 55:36SPEAKER_03: That's a humongous number, and I'm usually don't want to do that, but this is a Tennessee is in beauty pageant mode, and we and I have watched college football long enough to know what that is.
- 55:46SPEAKER_03: They have to blow the doors off of everybody that they have to.
- 55:51SPEAKER_03: For that, this is the only reason I want to bet this game is because I Tennessee had they what was it?
- 55:56SPEAKER_03: What was their week two score against Kent State?
- 55:59SPEAKER_03: Wasn't it 72 to nothing?
- 56:00SPEAKER_03: Like it's gotta be that type of game this week.
- 56:02SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, revisiting week two, 71, nothing.
- 56:06SPEAKER_02: So man, one point off.
- 56:07SPEAKER_02: I'll have that for memory.
- 56:08SPEAKER_02: This is that game again.
- 56:09SPEAKER_02: This is that game again, right?
- 56:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think so.
- 56:13SPEAKER_02: Uh, I hope so.
- 56:14SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, I'm a little gun shy on the balls offense after last week um against Georgia.
- 56:19SPEAKER_02: They looked really good at times and then um blanked in the second half.
- 56:24SPEAKER_02: Uh, obviously, UTEP is not Georgia, but for me, this is a stay away.
- 56:28SPEAKER_03: So you don't think so, if this was week six or seven, I would absolutely agree with you.
- 56:32SPEAKER_03: But you don't think that Hypel knows, like you don't think Hypel knows that he's like that his team has to look immaculate these last two weeks?
- 56:38SPEAKER_03: I think that incentive might change the way this score goes.
- 56:40SPEAKER_03: Do you do you give any credence to that?
- 56:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, I do think if this is week, we saw it in a lot of the early uh Tennessee games where the starters didn't play in the second half, the first like three or four weeks.
- 56:51SPEAKER_02: Um, so yeah, I don't think that happens.
- 56:53SPEAKER_02: I think you roll Nico out there until probably early fourth quarter.
- 56:58SPEAKER_02: So that could definitely have an impact, you know.
- 57:00SPEAKER_02: Does the defense bounce back, make a couple turnovers, get some points on their own?
- 57:04SPEAKER_02: Um, so yeah, I mean, I'm I'm with you.
- 57:06SPEAKER_03: I'm with you.
- 57:06SPEAKER_03: If you don't want to do the spread, how about the over-under?
- 57:08SPEAKER_03: 52 and a half is not that many points.
- 57:10SPEAKER_03: Um, would you would you would you support Tennessee over if we did that?
- 57:13SPEAKER_03: Whichever one you feel more strongly.
- 57:16SPEAKER_03: You tell me.
- 57:20SPEAKER_03: Give me the ball as minus 42.
- 57:21SPEAKER_03: I've been I've I was on that hill the whole time.
- 57:23SPEAKER_03: I think, yeah, I think that I think Hypel knows that he is the 10 and 2 SEC team sitting the outside right now.
- 57:30SPEAKER_03: He has to take care of business, has to look amazing, and hope somebody else falters.
- 57:34SPEAKER_03: So I think Tennessee is gonna want to hurry up a lot.
- 57:36SPEAKER_03: I think Nico's gonna scramble for some big ones.
- 57:38SPEAKER_03: I think they're gonna sack the UTAP quarterback a bajillion times.
- 57:42SPEAKER_03: Tennessee wins, going away to just send a message to the committee that hopefully they'll listen.
- 57:47SPEAKER_03: That's what I'm that's what I'm thinking, hoping.
- 57:50SPEAKER_03: Um, so give me we're doing that.
- 57:51SPEAKER_03: We're doing L we're doing that.
- 57:52SPEAKER_03: All right, last one Vanderbilt uh at LSU.
- 57:55SPEAKER_03: We're finally back at the company conflict.
- 57:56SPEAKER_03: This is a gold game.
- 57:57SPEAKER_03: You're gonna see LSU wearing their pretty gold jerseys, which they break out once every two or three years.
- 58:02SPEAKER_03: I prefer the traditional look, but what are you gonna do?
- 58:05SPEAKER_03: Uh the line is LSU minus seven and a half, came down, it was nine and a half.
- 58:09SPEAKER_03: Total is 54.5.
- 58:12SPEAKER_03: It was 54 and a half.
- 58:16SPEAKER_03: Are they gonna get off the mat?
- 58:18SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, that's the question.
- 58:19SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 58:20SPEAKER_02: What does the buy-in look like?
- 58:21SPEAKER_02: What's the locker room look like coming off the players-only meeting?
- 58:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Vanderbilt's coming off the tonight game tonight game in Baton Rouge.
- 58:28SPEAKER_03: In Baton Rouge, 745.
- 58:30SPEAKER_03: The season has just ended, effectively.
- 58:33SPEAKER_03: Diego Pavia is getting us off a bye.
- 58:36SPEAKER_03: Um, I don't like the spread at all.
- 58:38SPEAKER_03: I don't really bad spot for everything.
- 58:41SPEAKER_02: Kind of is a bad spot.
- 58:42SPEAKER_03: Kind of is a bad spot.
- 58:44SPEAKER_03: Um, I do think the defenses might show up.
- 58:46SPEAKER_03: So you could talk me into the under 53 and a half.
- 58:49SPEAKER_03: Um, I kind of think I could I could see a lower scoring game.
- 58:53SPEAKER_03: Um, potentially.
- 58:54SPEAKER_03: Um, I think Vanderbilt, that's what Vanderbilt's gonna want to do.
- 58:57SPEAKER_03: They're gonna want to shorten the game.
- 58:58SPEAKER_03: This is how they this is how they've gotten the wins they've gotten is they've run the bejesus out of the ball, controlled the clock, and our with a mobile quarterback, our team has been susceptible to that.
- 59:07SPEAKER_03: So, like, I could see a low scoring.
- 59:09SPEAKER_03: I can either bet this one or stay away.
- 59:11SPEAKER_03: What do you think?
- 59:11SPEAKER_02: Um, the reason I'm leaning stay away is because Vanderbilt has shown themselves to be plucky enough to go in there and cause some some problems for LSU.
- 59:22SPEAKER_02: If LSU is bought in, you know, what's that buy-in look like?
- 59:25SPEAKER_02: Nussmeyer throwing the ball 50 times against Vanderbilt's secondary and and LSU's big playability on the outside.
- 59:32SPEAKER_02: I could also see LSU putting the beat down.
- 59:35SPEAKER_02: So that's why this is a stay away.
- 59:37SPEAKER_02: I could see it going either way.
- 59:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 59:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 59:40SPEAKER_03: Okay, you're right.
- 59:41SPEAKER_03: We're gonna do that.
- 59:42SPEAKER_03: Okay, we are not gonna bet that one.
- 59:43SPEAKER_03: All right, so here's what we got.
- 59:44SPEAKER_03: We got uh for your Mike Blitz by the week about Motor Dame minus 14 and a half, uh, Ohio State minus 13 and a half, Arizona State minus three.
- 59:51SPEAKER_03: Man, we're a lot of favorites this week.
- 59:52SPEAKER_03: Colorado, Kansas over.
- 59:54SPEAKER_03: Get ready for the electricity.
- 59:56SPEAKER_03: It's coming.
- 59:56SPEAKER_03: Uh Wisconsin, Nebraska under three yards in a cloud of dust game, classic Big Ten West.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_03: Love to see it.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_03: Uh Baylor minus eight, riding the hot hand.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_03: Tennessee minus 42.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_03: Have to show big, big numbers, big numbers to put that, put this team away.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_03: Send the message to Tennessee in the playoff.
- 1:00:14SPEAKER_03: $10 bet pays you 940 bucks.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_03: So a little bit lower payout this week.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_03: Not one of our bigger, bigger money ways.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_03: That's okay.
- 1:00:22SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm not one to sneeze at a thousand dollars, Mike.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_03: So, you know, I'd be I would be just as happy to win that.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_03: That is your seven-leg Mike Blitz bet of the week.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_03: Any other game?
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_03: Actually, are there any other games that you want to talk about?
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_03: You did mention the Penn State uh that spread is 11 and a half.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_03: I don't know about that.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_02: The other one on my radar, Ole Miss Florida.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_02: Just give me your quick take on that.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_02: It's a 10 and a half point spread, it's in Gainesville.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_01: Okay, Tennessee, Florida.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_02: With DJ Lagway surging.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_01: DJ Lagway surging, 10 and a half.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_02: From a pure fan standpoint, what is what is your take?
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_03: Lane Kiffin doesn't always play well on the road.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_03: You know, like I playing playing, I see you should have you shouldn't have lost the LSU game.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_03: Um, he um they obviously lost ugly to Kentucky.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_03: That was at home.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_03: Um, the swamp, a resurge in Florida coming off a hot big win.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_03: Like, I could actually I could see if I was betting this game, I would take Florida plus 10.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_03: The over-under 55 and a half.
- 1:01:21SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_03: That seems about right.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_03: Florida's gonna go for Brooke.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_03: They're gonna play fast and loose, they're gonna blitz a lot.
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_03: Um, I think uh DJ Lagway is gonna be able to keep their defense off balance, you know.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_03: Um, I would take Florida plus 10.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_03: I don't know if they're gonna win, but that's what I would do.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_03: I take Florida plus 10.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's the way I would lean.
- 1:01:38SPEAKER_02: Um, I do think Lagway gives, I mean, Olmus has obviously a pretty elite D-line, but I think Lagway is good enough to make some plays and keep.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_02: I think he gets hit for some sacks for sure, but I think he he hits some broken plays as well.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_02: So that's a really interesting interesting one.
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_02: Not not suggesting we bet on it, but one to keep an eye on at 10 and a half point spread.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_03: Okay, so do you do you want so we're we're gonna keep that one out.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_03: The Penn State, Minnesota game.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_03: Penn State's 11 and a half point favorite on the road.
- 1:02:03SPEAKER_03: Minnesota might be a little plucky.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_03: Is that a spot?
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_03: You I mean, I could you could talk me to Minnesota plus 11 and a half on the let's do it.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_03: Okay, let's do it.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_03: Give me that gopher.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_03: Give me that gopher.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, give me that playing.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_03: Okay, all right.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_03: Woohoo! That kicked it up.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_03: All right, so we added jump.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_03: All right, big jump.
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_03: All right, take that back.
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_03: We added Minnesota plus 11 and a half.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_03: Now you've got eight-leg parlay.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_03: That ten dollar bet pays you$1,795.72.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_03: So we pretty much doubled it.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_03: Um, so that's quite the jump.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_03: Uh, good stuff.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_03: All right, we're not we're not we're we're shutting down shop.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_03: That's it.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_03: Eight-leg parlay this week.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_03: Um, all right, we're a little over an hour.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_03: I think where it's time for us to about just get out of here.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_03: Anything else for the good of the order?
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_03: Questions, comments, cares, concerns you want to talk about anything else we missed?
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_03: Let's go, gophers, baby.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_03: Let's go gophers.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_03: Let's go Tennessee, get that win against UTEP.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_03: Let's hope the LSU bounce back, stops our three-game skid.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_03: We were six and one a month ago, Mike, and everything went to hell.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_03: So let's get back on track.
