- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Jacob Hester.
- 0:02Speaker 2: And Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 3: Okay, here we go.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Where the plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Dude, they said I got to come off the bench.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench, live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Cane Studio.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no.
- 1:04Speaker 5: All right, welcome back in OTB hour number two here,
- 1:07Speaker 5: live from the Raising Cane Studio. Jake, Flynn, Alondra, Tay-Tay,
- 1:10Speaker 5: the Wolfpack all here with you. Of course, our Monday
- 1:13Speaker 5: show is brought to you by our friends over at
- 1:15Speaker 5: Bayou Automotive, bayouautomotive.com. As we've talked about all show long,
- 1:20Speaker 5: first time in 763 days, LSU and the New Orleans
- 1:23Speaker 5: Saints are able to share a weekend in which both
- 1:26Speaker 5: are victorious. It wasn't always pretty, and those final 11
- 1:30Speaker 5: minutes were far more stressful than they needed to be,
- 1:34Speaker 5: but the New Orleans Saints finally look like the team
- 1:36Speaker 5: that they've been telling us was actually going to happen.
- 1:40Speaker 5: And I'll raise my hand because I was the one
- 1:41Speaker 5: telling you because in training camp, man, they looked awesome.
- 1:44Speaker 5: They were going against Jacksonville. It was a good football team, right?
- 1:47Speaker 5: Went to camp multiple days. They looked really, really good.
- 1:49Speaker 5: And we saw it against the Baltimore Ravens, but we
- 1:52Speaker 5: haven't seen it since. Well, I know that it got
- 1:55Speaker 5: hairy there at the end, but you go on the
- 1:57Speaker 5: road in the NFL and you pick up a win.
- 1:59Speaker 5: That is going to be something that you can build
- 2:01Speaker 5: off of. Down, also in this game, which is a
- 2:06Speaker 5: common theme for the Saints, down 10-0 on the road.
- 2:08Speaker 5: They responded with 34 unanswered points at one point. Tyler
- 2:12Speaker 5: Shuck accounted for four touchdowns. The running game finally came
- 2:15Speaker 5: alive with a season-high 175 yards. The defense produced four
- 2:20Speaker 5: takeaways and five sacks for nearly three quarters.
- 2:22Speaker 3: The Saints played, you.
- 2:24Speaker 5: Know, complimentary, physical, mean, nasty, tough, took advantage of their opportunities,
- 2:31Speaker 5: and then, you know, allowing the Giants to turn a
- 2:35Speaker 5: 34-10 game that looked like it was over.
- 2:38Speaker 3: It was like, all right, let's close the old laptop.
- 2:40Speaker 3: That one's done.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Into a 34-27 nail-biter. And that has to be addressed,
- 2:46Speaker 5: that portion of it, with J.J. McCarthy coming in the
- 2:49Speaker 5: game and doing what he did in the fourth quarter.
- 2:51Speaker 5: But again, a win is a win is a win
- 2:52Speaker 5: in the National Football League. So after three consecutive losses,
- 2:57Speaker 5: style points, not going to be high up on the
- 2:58Speaker 5: priority chart.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I think we all know that. The Saints needed a win.
- 3:02Speaker 3: The Saints got a win.
- 3:03Speaker 5: And they showed enough fight and strain, like we always
- 3:06Speaker 5: talk about, and they made enough plays to go get
- 3:08Speaker 5: one on the road And credit to them, they got
- 3:11Speaker 5: called out publicly, very publicly, by Gail Benson, the owner
- 3:16Speaker 5: of the New Orleans Saints, the players, the coaches, the
- 3:19Speaker 5: general manager, and you fought. You did what you had
- 3:23Speaker 5: to do to win the football game. Again, it got
- 3:27Speaker 5: hairy there at the end.
- 3:28Speaker 3: It doesn't matter. It's the National Football League.
- 3:30Speaker 5: You'll take a victory, certainly when you've lost the way
- 3:32Speaker 5: that they have three consecutive times in a row.
- 3:35Speaker 3: You get another victory.
- 3:36Speaker 5: You try to keep pace in the NFC South, the
- 3:39Speaker 5: Falcons lost, the Buccaneers lost. Now the Panthers did win.
- 3:42Speaker 5: Panthers look pretty good, but you're not out of it.
- 3:46Speaker 5: You still have a chance. You still have an opportunity
- 3:48Speaker 5: to go.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Remember, what was it?
- 3:50Speaker 5: Five of the last six games, I believe are NFC
- 3:53Speaker 5: South games. You're going to decide it. You hold your
- 3:56Speaker 5: own fate right there in your hand in the NFC South.
- 3:59Speaker 5: It wasn't pretty. It was gritty and they got a victory.
- 4:03Speaker 6: Yeah, it wasn't pretty.
- 4:05Speaker 7: Um, I would counter argue with you that, that I
- 4:10Speaker 7: thought the back half of that game was embarrassing.
- 4:13Speaker 8: I did.
- 4:14Speaker 7: I mean, I didn't, I didn't watch like the good
- 4:17Speaker 7: parts of the game. We were a little soccer game,
- 4:19Speaker 7: but I got home and I watched the end of it.
- 4:20Speaker 7: You have scored him in the third quarter, 17.
- 4:24Speaker 6: James played the position as bad as you can play it.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Right. He did.
- 4:27Speaker 7: I mean, he played awful and you get a quarterback. Oh, Yeah,
- 4:34Speaker 7: like I see you. Yeah, Ponyx played it really bad.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Who did they play?
- 4:39Speaker 6: The other quarterback didn't play.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Seahawks.
- 4:41Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, Darnold played just as bad. You can't let
- 4:46Speaker 7: that happen, and I get it. Like, you'll take a
- 4:48Speaker 7: victory any way you can, and I agree with that.
- 4:51Speaker 7: I 100% agree with that, but you had this really
- 4:54Speaker 7: great feeling, and you still get the win, but it
- 4:56Speaker 7: ended on.
- 4:57Speaker 3: A really sour note.
- 4:58Speaker 7: You got a guy that was a first-round pick, discarded
- 5:01Speaker 7: into his third season. come and throw for 243 yards
- 5:04Speaker 7: on you in the fourth quarter. That's kind of embarrassing.
- 5:08Speaker 7: Now the, the win is awesome. You got called out
- 5:12Speaker 7: publicly and luckily you ran into a quarterback that played terrible.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Chuck responded. It's great.
- 5:22Speaker 7: But the way that thing ended, that was, that was ugly.
- 5:25Speaker 7: That was ugly. And I think I feel like it
- 5:27Speaker 7: left us a little bit of sour taste. Like, yes,
- 5:29Speaker 7: I get it. You just got to find a way
- 5:32Speaker 7: to win. But that can't happen. The team, the issues
- 5:38Speaker 7: that have come up in the past, this season, they
- 5:41Speaker 7: haven't found a way to finish a game. That reigns
- 5:44Speaker 7: true even in a victory. They didn't find a way
- 5:47Speaker 7: to finish the game on a strong note.
- 5:52Speaker 6: I don't think it was very good.
- 5:54Speaker 5: I mean, I agree with you in normal circumstances. And still,
- 5:57Speaker 5: there's going to be that feeling like you talked about.
- 5:59Speaker 5: The coaches are going to watch this tape and be like, guys,
- 6:02Speaker 5: this stuff, like, this at the end of this game
- 6:04Speaker 5: did you see.
- 6:05Speaker 7: The james's first throw of the game yes he had
- 6:07Speaker 7: a touchdown yeah like the guy was wide open a
- 6:10Speaker 7: slot how do you let that happen on defense a
- 6:12Speaker 7: slot receiver running a seam or a special route b-line
- 6:16Speaker 7: whatever you want to call it wide open first drive
- 6:20Speaker 7: of the game for a touchdown and he throws it
- 6:22Speaker 7: about eight yards behind him it's a it's an easy
- 6:26Speaker 7: throw there was no pressure it's about as easy as
- 6:29Speaker 7: a throw as you can get for a professional football
- 6:31Speaker 7: player And Jameis missed him by eight yards.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Eight yards.
- 6:36Speaker 3: It was a touchdown.
- 6:38Speaker 7: They got lucky that they were able to take that
- 6:41Speaker 7: lead and didn't have a capable quarterback plan because a quarterback,
- 6:50Speaker 7: the team that drafted him in the first round two
- 6:52Speaker 7: years ago, thought so little of him, they cut him.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Traded him. Traded him. Whatever. For nothing.
- 7:05Speaker 6: I'll defend them a little bit. Like I'm with you.
- 7:09Speaker 9: You cannot let a 24 point fourth quarter lead completely evaporate.
- 7:12Speaker 9: I was thinking about, I was like, saints hadn't been
- 7:15Speaker 9: up by 24th, fourth quarter very often.
- 7:17Speaker 6: And I'm just glad that, right.
- 7:19Speaker 9: I'm just glad they didn't have to fight and claw
- 7:20Speaker 9: back in the fourth, but we see it all the time.
- 7:23Speaker 6: More in college.
- 7:23Speaker 9: Like, you know, you prepare for a quarterback, you're thriving
- 7:26Speaker 9: against this quarterback. They make a change and, it's maybe
- 7:29Speaker 9: against the guy you didn't prepare for. So it gives
- 7:31Speaker 9: you a little bit of a different look. And then like,
- 7:33Speaker 9: what have we asked for from this team? Can you
- 7:35Speaker 9: run the ball? What you haven't been able to do.
- 7:37Speaker 6: You haven't been able to run.
- 7:37Speaker 9: You hadn't been able to stop the run. You did
- 7:39Speaker 9: both those things. Well, your pass rush was a lot better.
- 7:42Speaker 9: You just find ways to finish and close out games.
- 7:44Speaker 9: Like you could be fine, but like, you can't let
- 7:46Speaker 9: it happen, but I'll defend them a little bit.
- 7:48Speaker 5: I thought CJ Donaldson and AK were really good in
- 7:51Speaker 5: this game until Donaldson had the fumble. Obviously, you know,
- 7:56Speaker 5: That's something he's got to fix. But six carries, 39 yards,
- 7:59Speaker 5: six and a half yards per carry. He's really like
- 8:02Speaker 5: he's been more consistent with his carries than maybe anybody.
- 8:05Speaker 5: He's just not getting a lot. I mean, he started
- 8:07Speaker 5: the season basically playing fullback. And Kendrick Miller gets 20
- 8:10Speaker 5: carries in the game. I would like to see those,
- 8:13Speaker 5: you know, maybe even up a little bit. And hopefully C.J.
- 8:16Speaker 5: Donaldson is not in the doghouse for fumbling, because trust
- 8:19Speaker 5: me when I say he's not the only bag that's
- 8:20Speaker 5: fumbled on this team.
- 8:23Speaker 6: Did y'all realize Kellen Moore's in the chat? Hey, look
- 8:27Speaker 6: at that.
- 8:28Speaker 3: He responded to me.
- 8:29Speaker 6: He said, your second half is embarrassing.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Dang it.
- 8:34Speaker 6: I'm assuming the Saints were up after the first quarter.
- 8:36Speaker 8: Though, right?
- 8:37Speaker 3: Nope. Oh, they were down?
- 8:39Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 8:39Speaker 3: They were down 10-0 at one point.
- 8:41Speaker 6: I said, a good second. Still didn't start fast.
- 8:44Speaker 3: I don't love, I.
- 8:47Speaker 5: Don't at all love the 4.8 yards per attempt for
- 8:50Speaker 5: Tyler Shuck.
- 8:50Speaker 3: That's not his game. I didn't love that.
- 8:54Speaker 6: He, he, Had some rushing yards, though, which you need
- 8:57Speaker 6: from him. Got to have that.
- 9:00Speaker 7: If you want to win, Tyler Shuck, because of the
- 9:02Speaker 7: lack of running game, he's going to have to loosen
- 9:04Speaker 7: up the defense a little bit with his legs. And
- 9:07Speaker 7: I don't like saying that in the NFL. But this year,
- 9:11Speaker 7: this offense, he's going to have to. He's going to
- 9:13Speaker 7: have to. In victories, if we win games, you're going
- 9:17Speaker 7: to have to look at the stat sheet, and he's
- 9:18Speaker 7: going to have to run for 30, 40 yards.
- 9:23Speaker 6: That's not a great. place to be, I don't think.
- 9:25Speaker 3: No, it's the same.
- 9:26Speaker 5: I think last night, Jordan Love, who never runs, even
- 9:31Speaker 5: though he's athletic enough to do it, he never runs.
- 9:34Speaker 3: It's actually wild. He'd rather throw falling backwards than do it.
- 9:37Speaker 3: He really would. He ran like three times last night.
- 9:40Speaker 6: And it was big for him.
- 9:42Speaker 3: It was very big for him.
- 9:44Speaker 6: And it's like pulling teeth.
- 9:45Speaker 3: It really was. Come on, Jordan. You got to go.
- 9:49Speaker 8: So.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Tyler is much more... He's ready to go.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Like, he.
- 9:55Speaker 6: The guy can beat you. He can, he can run.
- 9:57Speaker 6: He's very athletic. You see it in the pocket.
- 9:59Speaker 7: Like, was it two weeks ago? He looked like they
- 10:01Speaker 7: had him dead to rights multiple times.
- 10:03Speaker 3: In the backfield.
- 10:04Speaker 7: And he got out and was able to kind of
- 10:06Speaker 7: weasel out of there and make a play. But you're
- 10:08Speaker 7: just like, Tyler, Chuck's going to have to do that
- 10:10Speaker 7: with his legs in order for this offense to be
- 10:12Speaker 7: able to be consistent. He's going to have to run
- 10:14Speaker 7: for 30, 40 yards a game. And yeah, it's, it's
- 10:18Speaker 7: still disappointing. Like, They can't figure out a way to start.
- 10:20Speaker 7: They can't start fast, and they can't finish. Luckily, Jameis
- 10:24Speaker 7: played so bad in the second and third that they
- 10:27Speaker 7: were able to get a big lead.
- 10:29Speaker 6: They can't start, and they can't finish. That is a
- 10:32Speaker 6: bad combination.
- 10:33Speaker 7: You are not going to get anywhere close to beating
- 10:35Speaker 7: the Panthers if you can't fix those two things.
- 10:38Speaker 6: Panthers are good. And they can run that football, too.
- 10:40Speaker 7: You are not going to sniff the playoffs with the
- 10:43Speaker 7: Panthers playing like that, and if you can't fix those things.
- 10:46Speaker 5: Real quick, let's go through the Saints' first two drives
- 10:49Speaker 5: offensively to Matt's point. Two-yard run by Kendra Miller. Then
- 10:54Speaker 5: you had an 11-yard run by C.J.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Donaldson.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Then you had an incompletion, another four-yard run by Kendra Miller,
- 11:00Speaker 5: incompletion punt. All right, let's go to the second drive.
- 11:05Speaker 5: Kendra Miller, five-yard run, 10-yard penalty. After you completed a
- 11:09Speaker 5: pass to C.J. Donaldson, you had a holding call. All right, well, okay,
- 11:13Speaker 5: you're behind second and 15 now. You completed another pass. Actually,
- 11:18Speaker 5: this one was for 18 yards to AK.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Guess what? Same guy, another holding call. Yeah, Richards had
- 11:25Speaker 3: another holding call. It's back-to-back.
- 11:27Speaker 5: It's hard to do in the NFL. All right, then
- 11:29Speaker 5: you had a pass that was completed at the line
- 11:31Speaker 5: of scrimmage for no yards, and then you had a
- 11:33Speaker 5: 16-yard pass, but the problem was it was third down
- 11:36Speaker 5: and a cab ride. So it was third and 25.
- 11:39Speaker 5: You get a 16-yard pass. You punt the football. All right, well,
- 11:43Speaker 5: I mean, surely the third drive, they're going to figure
- 11:45Speaker 5: it out. CJ Donaldson, three-yard run. A run for no
- 11:49Speaker 5: gain by AK. Incompletion, five-yard penalty, punt. That's how you
- 11:56Speaker 5: started the game. And then the fourth drive, you missed
- 11:58Speaker 5: a field goal, so you didn't get any points there either.
- 12:00Speaker 7: You could have just read that off, and I wouldn't
- 12:01Speaker 7: have been able to pick which game this season you
- 12:03Speaker 7: were talking about.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:04Speaker 7: It's all the same. Every single game is the same.
- 12:08Speaker 7: Somebody at every level gets lucky.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Yeah. Breaks one.
- 12:14Speaker 6: Breaks something. The defense calls the wrong defense.
- 12:18Speaker 3: It happens.
- 12:19Speaker 6: It doesn't happen to the Saints. You are awful in
- 12:23Speaker 6: the first quarter.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:25Speaker 6: Your game plan stinks in the first quarter.
- 12:31Speaker 3: And also.
- 12:31Speaker 6: And they got to be saying that to themselves.
- 12:33Speaker 3: The discipline too.
- 12:33Speaker 7: They got to be looking in the mirror and saying that. Like,
- 12:36Speaker 7: it's taken us so long to like verbalize this so much.
- 12:40Speaker 7: Like how we're doing it right now.
- 12:42Speaker 6: Like.
- 12:43Speaker 7: Because you want to believe. You want to see it.
- 12:45Speaker 7: You're like, man, it's just not catching the brakes. Not
- 12:48Speaker 7: catching the brakes. But you just, it's so consistently bad
- 12:54Speaker 7: that it has to be admitted. You have to talk
- 12:56Speaker 7: about it. I don't want to, but it is.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Yeah, the other thing, I mean, third down efficiency, too.
- 13:03Speaker 5: Like, to Matt's point, if you want to be able
- 13:06Speaker 5: to continue drives, you've got to be able to convert
- 13:08Speaker 5: on third down. They were just 415 yards. In this game,
- 13:11Speaker 5: that's also been a problem for the Saints. We talk
- 13:13Speaker 5: about it all the time. LSU's been really good at
- 13:17Speaker 5: converting third downs. That's why they have longer drives. That's
- 13:19Speaker 5: why they're able to put up some stats and stack
- 13:21Speaker 5: up some points and yards and all those different things.
- 13:24Speaker 5: If you're not good on money downs, you're just not
- 13:26Speaker 5: going to be good, and the Saints haven't been good.
- 13:28Speaker 5: That's why those drives are going three and out, three
- 13:30Speaker 5: and out, three and out. Or if you get five plays,
- 13:32Speaker 5: it feels like a long drive for the Saints in
- 13:34Speaker 5: the first half.
- 13:35Speaker 3: It really does. That's to the point that they're at.
- 13:38Speaker 3: That is something.
- 13:39Speaker 5: They have to fix if they want to get this
- 13:41Speaker 5: thing turned around, which, again, they've got to win. We're
- 13:44Speaker 5: going to celebrate a victory here when you've lost three
- 13:46Speaker 5: games in a row, but first drive, five plays. Second drive,
- 13:51Speaker 5: three plays. Third drive, three plays. That has to change
- 13:56Speaker 5: for the Saints. I don't know what has to happen.
- 13:58Speaker 5: Those first 15, whatever you put on that paper, go
- 14:02Speaker 5: reverse order.
- 14:03Speaker 3: Go reverse order.
- 14:04Speaker 6: Draw the best 15 plays you got, then burn it.
- 14:08Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:09Speaker 6: And then just go do other plays because it stinks.
- 14:12Speaker 3: What he said. All right, we'll take a break.
- 14:14Speaker 5: We've got more OTB coming right back your way. Let's
- 14:16Speaker 5: get into some weekend winners.
- 14:20Speaker 3: When we come back here on OTB.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 14:23Speaker 5: All right, go to FABT.com, FABT.com. That is a website

- 14:51Speaker 7: First American Bank and Trust, they've been in business for
- 14:53Speaker 7: a long time. They've been in business like back when

- 15:21Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Take me away, a secret place, a sweet escape.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Off the Bench with Hester and Flynn, presented by Bayou Automotive.
- 16:08Speaker 7: Hi, welcome back here. Off the Bench on a Monday, Monday, Monday. Look,
- 16:20Speaker 7: when you think about energy, there's one company that helped
- 16:23Speaker 7: to shape the future, and that is Catalyst. Catalyst developed
- 16:26Speaker 7: in the comments. Well, it's LNG export facility in Canberra
- 16:28Speaker 7: Parish connecting American natural gas with customers around the world.
- 16:31Speaker 7: Now under construction after reaching final investment decision in 2026,
- 16:35Speaker 7: the project represents a major investment in Louisiana's future. But
- 16:38Speaker 7: it's about more than just exporting energy. It's about creating
- 16:41Speaker 7: Louisiana jobs, supporting local businesses and strengthening communities and reinforcing
- 16:46Speaker 7: Louisiana's position as one of the world's leading energy hubs.
- 16:50Speaker 7: Through its natural gas production and the Commonwealth LNG Project,
- 16:53Speaker 7: Caterus is helping build an integrated energy platform that connects
- 16:56Speaker 7: domestic resources with growing global demand. So as construction continues
- 17:00Speaker 7: on Louisiana's Gulf Coast, Caterus is proud to invest in
- 17:03Speaker 7: American energy, American workers, and a stronger economic future.
- 17:06Speaker 6: Caterus, connecting Louisiana energy to the world.
- 17:11Speaker 4: To the world.
- 17:13Speaker 6: World, wow, wow, wow. Go Tigers! Go Saints.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Who that?
- 17:24Speaker 3: Go Green Wave. Go Bulldogs. Go Raging Cajuns. Anybody else
- 17:27Speaker 3: in Louisiana? Go Pelicans. They won.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Southeastern, Tay-Tay?
- 17:31Speaker 6: Yeah, I believe the Lions took it home this weekend.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Nichols caught it on the chin.
- 17:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Stephen F. Austin.
- 17:38Speaker 6: It was 56-0.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Good program. Which one? Stephen F. Austin?
- 17:43Speaker 6: SFA.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Hydrated?
- 17:46Speaker 6: Just a good part of the country, you know.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Where's that at in Texas?
- 17:51Speaker 6: Nacogdoches.
- 17:52Speaker 8: Is it?
- 17:53Speaker 3: That's not too far from me.
- 17:55Speaker 6: They were in our district forever.
- 17:58Speaker 3: The college was? Nacogdoches.
- 18:01Speaker 6: I think the honorable mention all districts.
- 18:03Speaker 5: I was about to say, now it doesn't seem as
- 18:06Speaker 5: messed up.
- 18:08Speaker 6: District 12, 5A. I don't remember them being those.
- 18:12Speaker 7: They dropped before my senior year, so it would have
- 18:15Speaker 7: been before your junior year.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Why did we not play at that? They went to 4A.
- 18:18Speaker 3: We played everybody else but y'all, I thought. They were
- 18:20Speaker 3: the best.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 18:21Speaker 8: All right.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Marshall, Naganojas, they both dropped to 4A. Right.
- 18:26Speaker 5: We played Marshall on 99 when they were still pretty good.
- 18:28Speaker 6: I believe home of YA.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Marshall?
- 18:33Speaker 8: Mm-hmm.
- 18:35Speaker 3: And then Longview, Lobos. Oh, yeah. Got a lot of
- 18:38Speaker 3: famous alumni. Shout out to Matthew McConaughey.
- 18:41Speaker 6: I'm double-checking this.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Malcolm Kelly.
- 18:44Speaker 6: That's right, Wyatt Tittle. Did it in Marshall High School
- 18:46Speaker 6: in Marshall, Texas.
- 18:47Speaker 5: It's like 30 minutes from my house.
- 18:56Speaker 3: It is.
- 18:56Speaker 6: It's not far.
- 18:57Speaker 3: 30 minutes from my house. It is not far.
- 18:59Speaker 5: All right, let's go ahead and get into some weekend
- 19:04Speaker 5: winners or losers.
- 19:06Speaker 3: That's how winning is done.
- 19:07Speaker 7: That's right. We can't have anyone freak out out there, okay?
- 19:11Speaker 3: We've got to keep our composure.
- 19:13Speaker 7: Got too far i'm by winning i went here and
- 19:17Speaker 7: i went there now what.
- 19:19Speaker 5: Are you doing what it takes to win a championship
- 19:23Speaker 5: wow winning well.
- 19:25Speaker 6: Then i guess there's only one thing left to do
- 19:29Speaker 6: what's that.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Win the whole.
- 19:36Speaker 5: All right, my first weekend winner is going to be
- 19:38Speaker 5: somebody that doesn't get talked about enough on the national
- 19:41Speaker 5: landscape when it comes to the NFL. And it's a
- 19:44Speaker 5: Saints player. No, it's not on offense. It's a defender
- 19:48Speaker 5: for the Saints, and it is Edgerton.
- 19:50Speaker 3: Rusher Chase Young.
- 19:52Speaker 5: He had another sack and a half here in this game.
- 19:56Speaker 5: And he's got five and a half on the year.
- 19:59Speaker 5: That puts him tied for third best in the NFL.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Third best. Nobody talks about him.
- 20:05Speaker 5: He was a former number two overall pick. It didn't
- 20:07Speaker 5: work out for him in his first stop. He gets
- 20:09Speaker 5: traded to the 49ers, does okay there, certainly earns his
- 20:13Speaker 5: way to New Orleans, and he fought his way into
- 20:16Speaker 5: this new contract that he got. A lot of people
- 20:19Speaker 5: wanted to label him as, oh, this guy's a bust.
- 20:21Speaker 5: He didn't work out. Okay, well, he was young, early
- 20:23Speaker 5: in his career. He's still 27, had a neck injury.
- 20:28Speaker 5: I had a chance to interview him during training camp.
- 20:30Speaker 3: It was incredible. Very humble guy.
- 20:33Speaker 5: Was talking about how Tyree Wilson comes over from the
- 20:35Speaker 5: Raiders where he was the top ten pick. It wasn't
- 20:37Speaker 5: working out, and he just kind of talked about his
- 20:39Speaker 5: own journey. It was very humbling. His answer, I was like, man,
- 20:43Speaker 5: this guy's got it figured out. He patted his chest
- 20:47Speaker 5: and didn't hold his arms out. I was like, I
- 20:49Speaker 5: love this guy, and he's gone out there, and he
- 20:51Speaker 5: has played incredibly well. Yesterday, he was a force all
- 20:54Speaker 5: game long. Nobody talks about him.
- 20:57Speaker 3: You need to. He got paid, and it's still producing money.
- 21:00Speaker 5: At a very high level, so I want to give
- 21:02Speaker 5: an attaboy to Chase Young. Job well done, sir. You're
- 21:05Speaker 5: a lot of fun to watch play football.
- 21:07Speaker 6: All right.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I love Chase Young.
- 21:09Speaker 10: He is a freak of nature, and he plays with
- 21:12Speaker 10: his hair on fire. He's one of the only people
- 21:15Speaker 10: that I see that they give a lot of effort
- 21:20Speaker 10: at all times, on the defense at least.
- 21:22Speaker 5: Yeah, him and Carl Granderson are the two that stand out.
- 21:26Speaker 3: To me as far as every play.
- 21:29Speaker 5: They might not make it, but they're giving you everything
- 21:31Speaker 5: they've got for that play.
- 21:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Love Chase Young.
- 21:35Speaker 6: I got a couple things here. I laughed a lot.
- 21:39Speaker 7: Taylor, I forgot to send you the video. I'm not surprised.
- 21:43Speaker 7: It's not a big deal. Aaron Rodgers, they won in
- 21:48Speaker 7: overtime yesterday versus the Tampa Bay Bucs. There is a
- 21:51Speaker 7: clip of him talking to a player, a.
- 21:53Speaker 6: Rookie, in fact. Josiah Trotter.
- 21:57Speaker 8: Yep.
- 21:58Speaker 6: Age 21.
- 21:59Speaker 7: The viral exchange becomes because they were talking and Aaron
- 22:02Speaker 7: looks at him and says, I know your dad.
- 22:04Speaker 6: Or I played against your dad. Whichever one it was.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Of course. Well, you and I both played against each other.
- 22:10Speaker 7: Former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter. Four-time Pro Bowler. Of course,
- 22:15Speaker 7: Aaron played against him. Now he's playing against his son
- 22:18Speaker 7: because he's so old. Old man Rogers out there playing
- 22:23Speaker 7: very good.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Yes, they did. They found a way behind.
- 22:27Speaker 6: They found a way to win.
- 22:28Speaker 7: And that's kind of like if the Steelers are going
- 22:30Speaker 7: to make any sort of run, that's what they got
- 22:33Speaker 7: to do. They're going to have to find a way.
- 22:35Speaker 7: But what a good exchange right there. And like, look, hey, guys,
- 22:38Speaker 7: Aaron Rogers is a real person. I know for a
- 22:40Speaker 7: while people didn't think he was. They thought he was
- 22:42Speaker 7: kind of a fake person. He's a real person. People
- 22:45Speaker 7: actually like him. Everybody says he's a bad teammate. You know,
- 22:48Speaker 7: except who?
- 22:49Speaker 3: His teammates.
- 22:50Speaker 6: His teammates.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Wow. Everybody else said that.
- 22:52Speaker 7: But yeah, Aaron Rodgers, 253 passing yards, two touchdowns on
- 22:56Speaker 7: the game. Fantastic stuff there. I just got a good
- 22:59Speaker 7: laugh at that. And we can lose her.
- 23:03Speaker 5: Me having to talk to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach
- 23:06Speaker 5: on a Monday after.
- 23:06Speaker 3: A loss later on today. That ain't cool either. Paris.
- 23:10Speaker 8: No.
- 23:11Speaker 10: I really want somebody to ask Aaron Rodgers his thoughts
- 23:14Speaker 10: on Paris.
- 23:15Speaker 7: They're not protests. Those are called riots. Those are riots.
- 23:19Speaker 7: When you burn cathedrals down that have been there for
- 23:23Speaker 7: centuries upon centuries. When you start burning history just because
- 23:28Speaker 7: you feel like it. And NFL, I mean, what a
- 23:32Speaker 7: great idea it was. Let's play in Paris. It's going
- 23:35Speaker 7: to be a great thing. We're trying to grow history.
- 23:38Speaker 7: They game more internationally. The Saints, it's awesome. They got
- 23:41Speaker 7: a Florida lead on their helmet. We get to go
- 23:43Speaker 7: play at Paris. Well, your people are so dumb, they're
- 23:46Speaker 7: burning the whole city down. And I think the Saints
- 23:49Speaker 7: are supposed to travel to Paris today.
- 23:51Speaker 2: They're in Paris.
- 23:52Speaker 3: They're in Paris now?
- 23:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:53Speaker 3: So they left after the game?
- 23:55Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Which is a good thing. That's a good thing.
- 23:57Speaker 7: Get used to a time zone. Get ready to play
- 23:58Speaker 7: a game. But my God. So anybody traveling to the game,
- 24:02Speaker 7: be safe.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Godspeed. Godspeed. Be careful.
- 24:05Speaker 7: I wouldn't myself. I would cancel that trip. I'd cancel
- 24:09Speaker 7: a ride so fast. Make your head spin.
- 24:12Speaker 3: So, weekend loser. Paris, France.
- 24:16Speaker 6: French are a-holes.
- 24:18Speaker 3: They are.
- 24:18Speaker 6: Do we even know what they're rioting about?
- 24:21Speaker 3: Oh, so, okay. They are.
- 24:23Speaker 7: They don't like Americans. I just want you to know that.
- 24:26Speaker 7: I've been to France a couple times now. Every time
- 24:28Speaker 7: I go, they just lift their nose up at you.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Until they need us. They do.
- 24:33Speaker 2: I'm just not sure the people rioting are French.
- 24:35Speaker 3: That's a good point. I don't know.
- 24:38Speaker 5: I'm going to be honest with you. I didn't see
- 24:40Speaker 5: any of that until yesterday. I didn't know that was
- 24:43Speaker 5: going on until yesterday.
- 24:44Speaker 3: I don't even know what it's about.
- 24:45Speaker 6: Did they say what they're writing about? No, no idea.
- 24:47Speaker 6: We don't know. They just didn't like the cathedrals, I guess.
- 24:49Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 24:51Speaker 2: I have a couple weekend losers. We're going to start
- 24:55Speaker 2: with LJ Collier. I think that's how you say it.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Collier.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Collier?
- 24:59Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Okay, I tried to say it to Louisiana.
- 25:01Speaker 3: You did. We like church things up.
- 25:03Speaker 6: Try to fancy it up.
- 25:04Speaker 2: So, the Rams.
- 25:06Speaker 7: Vierte.
- 25:06Speaker 8: Vierte.
- 25:08Speaker 2: The Rams go for a two-point conversion. Taylor, you can
- 25:12Speaker 2: play it. And they fumble. Collier recovers the fumble.
- 25:19Speaker 10: Starts just pumping, going.
- 25:22Speaker 2: The DB's like, pitch it to me. Pitch it to me.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Doesn't pitch it. Keeps it. And gets tackled and is
- 25:29Speaker 2: celebrating for some reason.
- 25:31Speaker 10: Because I don't really understand why you run it all
- 25:34Speaker 10: the way back for two points.
- 25:35Speaker 3: And then look at the coach.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Yeah. Like, and then you don't get the ball back
- 25:39Speaker 2: where he was tackled. So I'm not really sure why
- 25:41Speaker 2: he didn't know that.
- 25:42Speaker 3: There's no doubt. There's no way.
- 25:45Speaker 10: Granted, his teammates could have probably blocked a little better
- 25:48Speaker 10: for him, but pitch it to the DB.
- 25:50Speaker 2: That actually is fast.
- 25:52Speaker 3: He has no idea.
- 25:55Speaker 2: He forgot he was a defensive lineman.
- 25:58Speaker 3: He's like, we got the ball right here.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:59Speaker 3: There's no kickoff.
- 26:00Speaker 6: Hell yeah. Look at us flipping field position. If you
- 26:03Speaker 6: want to, See somebody go brain dead real fast.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Give a big guy the ball. Yeah.
- 26:08Speaker 2: He's like, pitch it to me.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Easy two points.
- 26:11Speaker 5: And that game obviously came down.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Look, he's pissed.
- 26:14Speaker 10: He's like, look, next time you give it to me.
- 26:17Speaker 2: And then he celebrates.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Celebrating. Just absolutely insane.
- 26:23Speaker 10: Another weekend loser for me. I don't know if y'all
- 26:25Speaker 10: saw this Duke. I forgot to tell you Taylor. I
- 26:28Speaker 10: didn't put it, but so one of Duke's, I pulled
- 26:31Speaker 10: him at one of Duke's players went down and I
- 26:34Speaker 10: think his name is Kamari Robinson. I might have that wrong,
- 26:37Speaker 10: but something Robinson is like checking on his teammate, but
- 26:43Speaker 10: then the medical trainer comes out and she kind of
- 26:45Speaker 10: like shoves him out of the way to get out.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Slaps her arm pretty aggressively.
- 26:52Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 26:53Speaker 2: And there's just no place for that. Like, whether... I
- 26:57Speaker 2: don't want to hear, like, the girl thing.
- 26:58Speaker 5: No, she's doing her job. Like, you're not supposed to... Like,
- 27:01Speaker 5: anytime there's an injury, they tell you, get away.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Get away.
- 27:04Speaker 5: It's for the doctors and for the trainers. Like, we
- 27:06Speaker 5: talk about that in team meetings all the time.
- 27:08Speaker 3: That, like... You're checking on your teammate. That's fine. But
- 27:11Speaker 3: what are you doing?
- 27:12Speaker 2: I mean, very aggressively. And I don't want to, like...
- 27:15Speaker 2: It's not like a girl versus guy. It's like, don't
- 27:19Speaker 2: do that to people.
- 27:20Speaker 3: No. No matter who it is.
- 27:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 27:22Speaker 3: You're putting.
- 27:23Speaker 5: Like, she's literally trying to, like, hey, hey, you know, hey,
- 27:25Speaker 5: give him some room.
- 27:26Speaker 3: Get out of my way.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Like, let me help your teammate. And he smacks her.
- 27:31Speaker 3: And he knew who it was because he turns and
- 27:33Speaker 3: looks before he does it.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Like, he took a second to do it.
- 27:35Speaker 3: I'm with you.
- 27:35Speaker 2: Also, Blake Groupie, what.
- 27:37Speaker 5: Are you doing?
- 27:37Speaker 3: He's trying to make a tackle.
- 27:39Speaker 2: That's enough for me.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Sorry. Oh, Blake Groupie.
- 27:43Speaker 5: I'll throw in one more loser because I don't know
- 27:45Speaker 5: if Taylor's going to be negative, so I don't want to,
- 27:46Speaker 5: you know, go positive and go negative again.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:50Speaker 3: CJ Gardner-Johnson. I.
- 27:53Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 27:53Speaker 3: I've seen enough of him.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Just this week or permanently? I've seen enough of him.
- 27:56Speaker 5: He got thrown out of the game because he spit
- 27:59Speaker 5: at Brock Bowers. I understand that's his role. He's playing
- 28:05Speaker 5: the villain role, and we have it in the NBA,
- 28:07Speaker 5: and he gets under your skin.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Sure.
- 28:10Speaker 5: But spitting on somebody? My dog, if you spit at somebody,
- 28:14Speaker 5: you've got to be ready for whatever comes next. It's
- 28:16Speaker 5: like the ultimate sign of disrespect. Like, it's time and
- 28:20Speaker 5: time again. And then you saw Joe Brady, like, in
- 28:21Speaker 5: his frustration. Like, he's a good player. That's why he
- 28:24Speaker 5: keeps getting chances. But that's also why he's on one-year
- 28:27Speaker 5: deal after one-year deal after one. Like, my guy has
- 28:30Speaker 5: played for more teams than Fitzpatrick, I think. It's because
- 28:33Speaker 5: of stuff like this that sets your team behind. Like,
- 28:37Speaker 5: I don't know what it's going to take for him.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Just to play football. You can still be the villain.
- 28:41Speaker 5: You can still talk trash and get under people's skin.
- 28:43Speaker 3: But this kind of stuff. Yeah, this kind of stuff
- 28:46Speaker 3: costs your team. Yeah.
- 28:48Speaker 5: And I feel like this guy just like habitual line crosser.
- 28:51Speaker 5: I don't know how many times he's been fine, but
- 28:53Speaker 5: like he just does stuff like this all the time.
- 28:55Speaker 5: And it's gotta be so frustrating for a coach to like, man,
- 28:58Speaker 5: we got a good player out there. Like he plays well,
- 29:00Speaker 5: but we got to deal with this crap. And if
- 29:02Speaker 5: he didn't do that, he would have a four year
- 29:05Speaker 5: deal with somebody.
- 29:06Speaker 3: But he doesn't.
- 29:07Speaker 6: He must be really, really, really good.
- 29:10Speaker 3: He's a good player.
- 29:11Speaker 7: Nobody gets that many chances. Nobody gets that many chances
- 29:16Speaker 7: unless you're special. And so then, They must think he is,
- 29:19Speaker 7: or they must have just a dire need at that position.
- 29:24Speaker 6: We should get him on the show.
- 29:25Speaker 9: Actually, before I go, I'm glad Alondra brought that up.
- 29:29Speaker 9: So yesterday when Kamari Robertson, you know, that video service
- 29:33Speaker 9: or whatever, another video is actually serviced of him.
- 29:35Speaker 6: I was trying to pull it up while she was
- 29:36Speaker 6: talking of him.
- 29:39Speaker 9: This was a little bit, this was, this was a
- 29:41Speaker 9: different game, but it looks like people.
- 29:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:44Speaker 6: People have paused it, but watch it.
- 29:46Speaker 9: Watch what he does to the stadium employee at the
- 29:47Speaker 9: end of the game. If you pause it, you can
- 29:49Speaker 9: see his number five Jersey. Look, he comes back and
- 29:52Speaker 9: he like slaps the stadium employee.
- 29:56Speaker 8: Oh yeah.
- 29:56Speaker 2: You didn't even do nothing.
- 29:57Speaker 6: Yeah, and people are saying that that is also Kamoi Robertson. Man.
- 30:01Speaker 9: Again, that one's not confirmed, but there is still photos.
- 30:03Speaker 9: It does show the number five on the corner. So,
- 30:06Speaker 9: I mean, take that for what you want. So, dude,
- 30:09Speaker 9: may have some issues. First weekend winner for me. A
- 30:14Speaker 9: lot of times you see the punter take off and run,
- 30:16Speaker 9: you know, do the fake punt. It doesn't actually work out,
- 30:18Speaker 9: but this is a fake punt turned into an actual punt.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Oh, the PYU fake punt was so bad.
- 30:23Speaker 9: So this one's Cincinnati versus West Virginia. This one works out.
- 30:26Speaker 9: It is not actually a fake punt, but watch what
- 30:28Speaker 9: this punter does. This punt's down at the one-yard line
- 30:34Speaker 9: because West Virginia thought he was faking a punt. This
- 30:37Speaker 9: ball rolls all the way down, so not a fake punt.
- 30:39Speaker 9: Wound up actually punting it right before the line of scrimmage.
- 30:42Speaker 9: I mean, this is picture perfect. Like, look, he's going, going, going.
- 30:46Speaker 6: Probably not one they want to do again.
- 30:47Speaker 7: No.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Probably not.
- 30:49Speaker 9: I don't know if you want to rely on that,
- 30:50Speaker 9: but as many fake punts that goes wrong, the fake
- 30:54Speaker 9: punt into an actual punt down at the one-yard line.
- 30:57Speaker 6: Thing of beauty. And then I'm sticking with special teams.
- 31:00Speaker 9: I got one more weekend winner Cardinals versus Rams Cardinals
- 31:03Speaker 9: take down the Rams. And well, it's thanks to their kicker, right?
- 31:08Speaker 9: Chad Ryland, six for six on field goals, including a
- 31:12Speaker 9: long of 43 as time expired. Chad Ryland scored all
- 31:15Speaker 9: 18 points for the Cardinals to take down the Los
- 31:19Speaker 9: Angeles Rams who are now two and four. And I'm
- 31:22Speaker 9: not upset about it, but a shout out Chad Ryland there,
- 31:25Speaker 9: all the points for your team.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Special teams.
- 31:27Speaker 3: I'll see you. All right. War daddy. We see your brother.
- 31:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:31Speaker 3: Hell yeah.
- 31:32Speaker 7: Um, I think that we probably be remiss to say,
- 31:38Speaker 7: or at least to mention that all prayers out to,
- 31:44Speaker 7: there was an unfortunate accident yesterday.
- 31:46Speaker 6: Saturday.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 7: On Saturday, Alamo dome before the game, the U S
- 31:52Speaker 7: service member, fast roping, um, before.
- 31:56Speaker 3: The game with an accident.
- 31:58Speaker 2: How do you play a game after that?
- 31:59Speaker 3: I know.
- 32:00Speaker 7: Our hearts and prayers all go out to all service members. But, like,
- 32:06Speaker 7: for this situation to occur before a game, any time, obviously.
- 32:12Speaker 7: But I saw this, and, like, my heart and gut
- 32:14Speaker 7: just sank. Like, it was terrible.
- 32:17Speaker 6: Lost his life.
- 32:19Speaker 7: So that was, you know, we're taking a look at
- 32:22Speaker 7: everything around the country, and I just felt led. Need
- 32:26Speaker 7: to mention that and just say our prayers are out
- 32:27Speaker 7: to them, hearts, and I hope everybody else towards that family. And,
- 32:30Speaker 7: you know, we can think opinions, whatever you want, about, like,
- 32:34Speaker 7: what should and shouldn't be done before a game, whatever.
- 32:37Speaker 3: It doesn't really matter.
- 32:38Speaker 6: It happened, and crazy unfortunate event.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Yeah, that is Tech Sergeant M. Patterson, and served 15 years.
- 32:48Speaker 5: He was also named the Air Force Special Warfare Enlisted
- 32:52Speaker 5: Instructor of the Year at the headquarters. At Air Force
- 32:57Speaker 5: in 2022, so longstanding military career, and you're right. I mean,
- 33:01Speaker 5: thoughts and prayers with Sergeant Patterson, his family, any loved ones,
- 33:06Speaker 5: and very unfortunate accident there.
- 33:09Speaker 3: At the Alamo Dome. All right, we will step away.
- 33:13Speaker 3: We've got more coming your way here on OTB.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Off the Bench.
- 33:20Speaker 5: All right, go to TrashRangers.com today. TrashRangers.com, residential commercial trash
- 33:24Speaker 5: pickup service here in the Baton Rouge area. Also, they
- 33:28Speaker 5: got roll-off dumpsters, three different sizes to choose from. Make
- 33:31Speaker 5: sure you have the right size on your project by
- 33:33Speaker 5: giving them a call and tell them kind of what's
- 33:35Speaker 5: going on.
- 33:35Speaker 3: They're going to make sure that you have the right size.
- 33:37Speaker 3: But if you undersell it, it's okay. They'll come empty.
- 33:39Speaker 5: They'll put it right back where they got it from.
- 33:40Speaker 5: It's an incredible service they have over there at Trash Rangers. Also,
- 33:43Speaker 5: the sanitation department. If you need a portable restroom for
- 33:47Speaker 5: a job site or an event, they've got that now
- 33:49Speaker 5: as well. Go to the website, get the contact information, TrashRangers.com.
- 33:53Speaker 7: TrashRangers, TrashRangers.com. Louisiana's most reliable pickup service, trash removal service.
- 33:59Speaker 7: So whether it's commercial, residential, maybe it's a special project
- 34:03Speaker 7: you got. You hear me talking about the roll-up dumpsters
- 34:05Speaker 7: all the time, those big red dumpsters driving around all
- 34:08Speaker 7: over Louisiana. right now as they become more and more
- 34:10Speaker 7: popular because people are realizing how great of a service
- 34:13Speaker 7: they are and how great the pricing is. They're going
- 34:14Speaker 7: to be flat rate pricing. So the price they quote
- 34:16Speaker 7: you is the price you pay. Go over to trash rangers.com.
- 34:20Speaker 5: Okay.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Off the Bench with Hester and Flynn, presented by Bayou Automotive.
- 35:40Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in, O-T-B.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Andy Dalton signing with the Falcons.
- 36:05Speaker 7: Breaking news.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Wait, can we trust Shefty?
- 36:12Speaker 3: I saw that this weekend.
- 36:14Speaker 2: Now he sold his shares in it.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 10: But that doesn't mean that he doesn't have like any
- 36:19Speaker 10: sort of.
- 36:20Speaker 3: He had in two companies, right?
- 36:23Speaker 2: Underdog and boom.
- 36:27Speaker 6: He's got integrity, though.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Not sure it's a great.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Do you know where he went to school?
- 36:33Speaker 10: It's a great year for journalistic integrity, especially in the NFL.
- 36:38Speaker 6: He went to integrity. He wasn't off the bench.
- 36:40Speaker 3: You know where Shad went to school, Bo?
- 36:42Speaker 7: No.
- 36:43Speaker 6: Michigan.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Is that bad? I mean, they like to, you know.
- 36:48Speaker 3: draw outside the lines a little bit. Oh, that's true.
- 36:51Speaker 3: A little Connor Stallion situation.
- 36:53Speaker 2: A little Sharon Moore.
- 36:54Speaker 9: Also, like, let's be honest about what his job is, right?
- 36:57Speaker 9: If you're an insider and you get all this info,
- 37:00Speaker 9: you got to play outside the lines a little bit. Like,
- 37:01Speaker 9: you know, that's what he does.
- 37:06Speaker 2: The Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 37:07Speaker 6: Thing was a little weird.
- 37:10Speaker 10: The Jalen Hurts thing was a little weird, I feel like, but.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Why? What was weird about it? He said the Eagles
- 37:17Speaker 3: weren't going to put him on IR. And then they
- 37:19Speaker 3: did put him on IR. Okay.
- 37:22Speaker 5: So a lot of people are like, okay, well, we
- 37:25Speaker 5: were sticking with our, you know, with like bets and
- 37:28Speaker 5: doing different bets because like you said, it wasn't going
- 37:30Speaker 5: to be on IR.
- 37:30Speaker 3: And then he is, it completely changes the landscape of
- 37:32Speaker 3: the Eagles. So that's why people are.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Move the lines.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Yeah. Straight to jail.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Life in prison.
- 37:46Speaker 7: I mean, probably an investigation is probably worthwhile. I guess,
- 37:50Speaker 7: but I don't know. That's kind of the social media thing.
- 37:56Speaker 7: It's not really governed what you can say, especially if
- 37:59Speaker 7: what you say can move the markets, can move lines,
- 38:03Speaker 7: things that are posted online.
- 38:06Speaker 6: He doesn't really have an affiliation with the NFL, right?
- 38:12Speaker 6: There's an understanding.
- 38:13Speaker 3: ESPN owns the NFL. ESPN owns the NFL network. So
- 38:19Speaker 3: I don't know like how that, how that is affiliated.
- 38:21Speaker 7: Now I know like it's a, it's a, you scratch
- 38:24Speaker 7: my back. I scratch your back relationship that Schefter has
- 38:26Speaker 7: with them. Like, because a lot of times he gets
- 38:28Speaker 7: his information from agents.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:31Speaker 7: They give information to agents, right? He gives information to agents.
- 38:38Speaker 7: They give it to him. He gives information to the teams.
- 38:40Speaker 7: They give it to him. So it's like, they all
- 38:42Speaker 7: work with each other. That's the reason why he gets
- 38:44Speaker 7: the information and they get it first. Um, that's the
- 38:47Speaker 7: way the world works a little bit, but yeah, that's,
- 38:49Speaker 7: that's a little, I saw that. And, but is it,
- 38:55Speaker 7: is it a little sketchy if he could change lines
- 38:57Speaker 7: based on, I don't know.
- 39:00Speaker 6: I mean, yeah, that's sketchy. If he could change lines,
- 39:03Speaker 6: of course it is easy.
- 39:05Speaker 7: Yeah. I mean, he could, I mean, his tweets certainly
- 39:08Speaker 7: would like the information that he breaks would. Does change
- 39:10Speaker 7: the lines.
- 39:11Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 39:11Speaker 6: What is he doing with that?
- 39:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 39:13Speaker 6: Like if he's not betting on it.
- 39:15Speaker 9: What you should ask is, was he just given bad
- 39:17Speaker 9: information or did he intentionally put out the wrong information?
- 39:21Speaker 6: I mean, he's not a hundred percent right.
- 39:22Speaker 7: Like a blood clot is a weird, is a, not
- 39:27Speaker 7: a weird thing, but it's, it's a thing that doesn't
- 39:29Speaker 7: happen a lot. It happens a lot, but there's clots.
- 39:32Speaker 7: For these athletes, it doesn't happen very often. So I'm
- 39:35Speaker 7: assuming the information changes every time you see another doctor
- 39:39Speaker 7: in this situation.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fair.
- 39:43Speaker 7: It wasn't like, well, he's definitely going towards ACL or
- 39:46Speaker 7: something like that's a normal situation to occur.
- 39:50Speaker 3: Matt's an investor and underdog. Jeez.
- 39:54Speaker 2: I know.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Dang. We'll talk about it again.
- 39:56Speaker 2: He's got stock and underdog.
- 39:57Speaker 9: Matt's like, guys, is insider trading that big of a deal?
- 40:00Speaker 9: He's like, what do you think about it?
- 40:01Speaker 6: You know what, you guys? I take it all back.
- 40:03Speaker 3: I agree with y'all. Thank you.
- 40:04Speaker 6: Just leave it at that.
- 40:05Speaker 3: Thank you. I appreciate it. It's riveting. I appreciate it.
- 40:11Speaker 3: I really do like Chef D, by the way.
- 40:12Speaker 6: I do, too.
- 40:13Speaker 3: He's a good dude.
- 40:14Speaker 2: What else happened during the break? Oh, Colt's general manager.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, Ballard.
- 40:17Speaker 2: We got two breaking news.
- 40:19Speaker 6: Here you go.
- 40:21Speaker 3: You lose to the winless Tennessee Titans at home?
- 40:25Speaker 2: That's brutal.
- 40:26Speaker 9: Plus, I feel like ownership has been threatening to fire
- 40:27Speaker 9: Chris Ballard for like three years now.
- 40:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:29Speaker 6: I feel like that 7-0 start last year really saved him.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:36Speaker 3: How the Colts losing? Titans are bad.
- 40:40Speaker 6: I know.
- 40:41Speaker 3: They're awful.
- 40:42Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 40:43Speaker 5: And they tried to redo the Oilers uniforms, which I
- 40:46Speaker 5: was excited about.
- 40:48Speaker 6: Like, what is the logo?
- 40:49Speaker 5: Isn't that great? They look like a 7-on-7 team out there.
- 40:54Speaker 5: They really do.
- 40:56Speaker 3: It could be done better. What are you doing?
- 40:58Speaker 2: Checking your underdog stock?
- 41:00Speaker 3: Yep, I am. He is for sure.
- 41:02Speaker 6: That's like, damn it, went down. Did y'all know that
- 41:04Speaker 6: one of these Kardashian girls yesterday wore a $ 50 million bra?
- 41:10Speaker 3: Wait.
- 41:11Speaker 2: What are we doing?
- 41:11Speaker 3: My guy. I'm talking about the Colts. Sorry.
- 41:14Speaker 2: What are we doing?
- 41:15Speaker 6: I mean, that is cool. That is pretty crazy.
- 41:17Speaker 3: All right.
- 41:18Speaker 5: We're taking a break. We're not doing this. We're taking
- 41:20Speaker 5: a break. More OCB when we come back.
- 41:22Speaker 2: $ 50 million.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 41:24Speaker 8: All right.

- 43:23Speaker 5: And if you want to find the location that is
- 43:24Speaker 5: most convenient for you and also the weekly specials at

- 43:49Speaker 5: The team that LSU's playing this weekend, the Auburn Tigers,
- 43:51Speaker 5: just took down the number one team in the country,
- 43:53Speaker 5: the Georgia Bulldogs, on the road.
- 43:56Speaker 3: 27-24, one of the better games of the weekend.
- 43:59Speaker 5: Auburn kind of controlled this game in the first half,
- 44:03Speaker 5: most of the second half until the very end of
- 44:06Speaker 5: the fourth quarter there. So it was not fluky. It
- 44:09Speaker 5: wasn't some crazy comeback by the Auburn Tigers at halftime.
- 44:12Speaker 5: They were up, and then they took the lead in
- 44:14Speaker 5: the– or scored in the third quarter. They held Georgia
- 44:18Speaker 5: scoreless in the third quarter. They held on there at
- 44:21Speaker 5: the end. And that's who you've got now on the road. LSU,
- 44:24Speaker 5: not good on the road. I mean, multiple years, not
- 44:27Speaker 5: just obviously this year going 0-2. You've lost six in
- 44:30Speaker 5: a row on the road. You've got to find a way.
- 44:32Speaker 5: An 11 a.m. kick inside of Jordan Hare over in Auburn, Alabama,
- 44:36Speaker 5: in a game that we'll certainly preview throughout the week.
- 44:39Speaker 5: But what a win it was for the Auburn Tigers
- 44:41Speaker 5: to go on the road to beat the number one
- 44:42Speaker 5: team in the country.
- 44:43Speaker 7: And to say it was one of the top games
- 44:44Speaker 7: of the weekend is saying something because that was a
- 44:48Speaker 7: magical Saturday. That was a weekend that, in my opinion,
- 44:52Speaker 7: college football needed. I went into this weekend saying, man,
- 44:56Speaker 7: the product on the field hadn't been good, hadn't been good.
- 44:58Speaker 7: And maybe the quality of, like, actual X's and O's football, like,
- 45:02Speaker 7: something only kind of like a nerd like myself would, like,
- 45:06Speaker 7: would look at and actually notice while you're watching a game.
- 45:08Speaker 6: But, like, my God, did it come and deliver Saturday.
- 45:13Speaker 3: It was awesome.
- 45:14Speaker 7: And to say that was one of the top games,
- 45:17Speaker 7: Auburn taking down Georgia.
- 45:18Speaker 3: On the road. Man, we were giving Georgia all the
- 45:22Speaker 3: flowers leading up to this weekend. All of them.
- 45:25Speaker 6: And can't really say that they played bad.
- 45:28Speaker 7: I think Auburn just played really well, had a good
- 45:30Speaker 7: game plan, a very well coached team. And it's one
- 45:34Speaker 7: of those teams like look out. It's Auburn's going to
- 45:39Speaker 7: be like coaches doing a really nice job. So this
- 45:41Speaker 7: is the time of the season where everything starts to
- 45:43Speaker 7: kind of come into place with a new staff. This
- 45:46Speaker 7: team's playing really well. Maybe they're starting to get it
- 45:48Speaker 7: a little bit more, get what he wants. And to
- 45:50Speaker 7: see Golish like, emotional, letting it all out there on
- 45:53Speaker 7: the post. It was a great post-game interview. Had his
- 45:56Speaker 7: son with him. I love coaches that can show that.
- 46:00Speaker 7: I know it was a raw interview at a time,
- 46:02Speaker 7: and he wasn't afraid to put it out there emotionally.
- 46:06Speaker 3: They believe in what they're doing. And when coaches are
- 46:08Speaker 3: able to do that, man, what a cool scene that was.
- 46:12Speaker 3: There was lots of them Saturday. I think college football
- 46:15Speaker 3: needed Saturday. It was great.
- 46:17Speaker 2: Rank them cowards.
- 46:18Speaker 3: It was awesome. They should be ranked. They can't rank.
- 46:20Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 46:21Speaker 7: On the road.
- 46:22Speaker 3: Two losses and not two bad losses.
- 46:24Speaker 6: If they beat Notre Dame, they'd be like 15.
- 46:26Speaker 3: All right, hour number three when we come back on OTB.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 46:33Speaker 3: You think just that? Just that. Probably much higher.
- 46:36Speaker 5: All right, go to palagroup.com. That's P-A-L-A group.com. And once
