- 0:34What is going on, everybody?
- 0:35Welcome to Lunchtime Lunch
- 0:37with the Clydesdale.
- 0:38It is a Thursday afternoon.
- 0:41So good to hang with you guys, man.
- 0:43What's up?
- 0:44The two Jeffs are in the chat already.
- 0:47What's going on, guys?
- 0:50Just got back from a pulmonary...
- 0:55Tim Nekritz .
- 0:55test I don't know what they
- 0:56call it exactly pulmonary
- 1:00performance test something like that.
- 1:02Tim Nekritz .
- 1:04Essentially, I had to.
- 1:05Tim Nekritz .
- 1:07sit in a booth with.
- 1:12a mask that had a tube,
- 1:17looked like Bane from Batman,
- 1:19kind of in my face, in my mouth.
- 1:23And basically,
- 1:25it just recorded how I was breathing,
- 1:28doing different exercises through that.
- 1:31And I went through a step of
- 1:32three different exercises,
- 1:35One where I breathed in very
- 1:36deep and then exhaled as
- 1:38far as I possibly could
- 1:40until I felt like I was
- 1:41going to black out.
- 1:42And then breathe back in
- 1:44really quickly all while I
- 1:46geared up to this equipment.
- 1:48And then I did...
- 1:52the other one was more of
- 1:53like a slow kind of deep breath, exhale.
- 1:59And then the last one was
- 2:01like this puff test where you just like,
- 2:03you just ha ha ha ha out the, uh,
- 2:08your mouth and then all of a
- 2:09sudden like they block the
- 2:11exit and you have to like
- 2:13keep ha ha ha up against
- 2:16this this wall and it reads
- 2:19like how forceful you can
- 2:21breathe in and breathe out um
- 2:24But I've been dealing with this,
- 2:27and I've said it on, you know,
- 2:29ever since the COVID crap,
- 2:33I've been dealing with stuff like a cough,
- 2:36sinuses, all this kind of stuff.
- 2:38And so this is a test to see
- 2:41where my lungs are through
- 2:43all this thing and what can
- 2:44we do to kind of rectify that.
- 2:48So I do those three tests.
- 2:51And then they gave me an
- 2:52albuterol breathing
- 2:53treatment and then put me
- 2:55through the first test again.
- 2:58Um, so I did all that took about an hour.
- 3:02Uh, and then when, then it's all done,
- 3:07I'd have no idea what the results are.
- 3:09Um,
- 3:09I have a pulmonology doctor appointment
- 3:14next month where they'll
- 3:15take that stuff and, um,
- 3:20read it,
- 3:20and give me the results and find
- 3:22out a way to try to help me
- 3:24get over all of this sinus-y,
- 3:28coffee thing that I've had going on.
- 3:30Now,
- 3:31since I've been treated for the pneumonia,
- 3:33which my doctor believes
- 3:34was a long-term pneumonia
- 3:36from a couple weeks ago,
- 3:39I have not been coughing
- 3:40very much since then.
- 3:42So it's...
- 3:44So that's improved things tremendously.
- 3:47And I know that John says I
- 3:49sound better than I did a few weeks ago.
- 3:51Yeah, I feel so much better.
- 3:56So, yeah.
- 3:59I feel so much better.
- 4:00So hopefully we're finally
- 4:01finding some answers and
- 4:03getting to the root cause
- 4:04of the problem to see where
- 4:06we go from there.
- 4:09Do we know any exercise
- 4:10regimen to make your lungs
- 4:11lungs stronger?
- 4:12So that's the thing like
- 4:13I've been crossfitting
- 4:14through this but like I
- 4:16have to stop and like I
- 4:18cough up junk and Like I if
- 4:21I'm when I was at Polaris,
- 4:23I would run outside and
- 4:24spit if I'm in my garage.
- 4:26It's much easier I just run
- 4:27out and spit and so
- 4:31yeah trying trying to do
- 4:33that and hoping that once
- 4:35we get this fixed then my
- 4:37intensity can go back up on
- 4:39the crossfit stuff and
- 4:41really start making some
- 4:42hay in my weight loss journey so
- 4:53how about saunas that
- 4:54cleared a partial pneumonia
- 4:55for me once it definitely
- 4:56made me feel better during
- 4:57the process so I've done
- 4:59that where I've turned on
- 5:00like I've simulated a sauna
- 5:02by just cranking up the um
- 5:05the hot water in my shower
- 5:08getting that steam going
- 5:09stuff like that uh swim
- 5:15hypoxic breath holds yeah
- 5:19I've tried a lot of different things,
- 5:21guys.
- 5:22A lot of different things.
- 5:23This has been going on for a couple years.
- 5:26So I'm really excited to hear.
- 5:29I've heard this
- 5:30pulmonologist is like the best in Ohio.
- 5:34And so I'm excited to see
- 5:36what this test shows and
- 5:38where we go from here.
- 5:39Again,
- 5:39I feel so much better today than I
- 5:42did a few weeks ago.
- 5:43And hopefully this is just
- 5:44the first step in the overall process.
- 5:51I'm literally sitting in a
- 5:52sauna right now.
- 5:53That actually feels kind of good.
- 5:55It sounds good.
- 5:56Sounds good.
- 6:00My lungs made me stop too, Scott.
- 6:01Yep.
- 6:04I got to get them back.
- 6:04Got to get them back.
- 6:08I got to get back to where like I can,
- 6:10I can do some running again.
- 6:14I got to a point last time
- 6:16when I lost all the weight and,
- 6:18where like my running wasn't
- 6:20the thing that I dreaded
- 6:21the most in a workout,
- 6:23because if you just find the right pace,
- 6:27it is what it is.
- 6:28It, your time is what it is,
- 6:30but at least I didn't hate it anymore.
- 6:32Like I kind of embraced it as, uh,
- 6:36something that I could do at my own pace.
- 6:38So I want to get back to that,
- 6:43but we're fighting to get
- 6:44there and hopefully the
- 6:46answers are coming soon.
- 6:53Joseph, he hates running no matter what.
- 6:57Yeah, I was there at one point,
- 6:59and then I got to a point
- 7:00where I didn't hate it anymore.
- 7:02I would never say it was my first love,
- 7:05but I got to a point where
- 7:06I didn't hate it.
- 7:11So there.
- 7:16So a lot's happened in the
- 7:18last twenty four hours,
- 7:20and I don't want to.
- 7:23don't want to spend the
- 7:24whole show on what's going
- 7:26on but I'm having a tough
- 7:29time with the last twenty
- 7:30four hours I'll be honest
- 7:32with you guys uh today is
- 7:35the anniversary of nine
- 7:36eleven it's been twenty
- 7:38four years uh since this
- 7:42large attack on the us
- 7:44happened um out of pure hate and
- 7:51And I thought in that moment,
- 7:54I thought in that moment
- 7:55that we as a country would
- 7:57move past some of this and
- 8:00some of this hate.
- 8:03And it just seems like in
- 8:06even more than the last
- 8:07twenty four hours in the last week,
- 8:08in the last month,
- 8:10like the amount of hate
- 8:12that's going on in our
- 8:13country is unnerving.
- 8:17Unnerving.
- 8:18And it.
- 8:21I'm having a hard time dealing with it.
- 8:23I'll be honest with you.
- 8:24Like I grew up in a
- 8:26household where my parents
- 8:30promoted debate.
- 8:35I didn't always see eye to
- 8:36eye with my parents on subjects.
- 8:40My dad was very old school
- 8:43and I brought different
- 8:44ideas into the house and
- 8:47And we would sit around the
- 8:48dining room table and we would,
- 8:51we would debate those
- 8:52issues in a calm manner, just have,
- 8:55have lengthy discussions.
- 8:57And I thank my parents so
- 8:59much for promoting that in
- 9:00our house that we could
- 9:02have those discussions.
- 9:04And at the end of the day,
- 9:05we all loved each other,
- 9:07even though we looked at
- 9:08things from a different
- 9:08lens and we had different
- 9:10ideas about things and we
- 9:12had different beliefs at times.
- 9:14Um,
- 9:17I just feel like when you're
- 9:22born and you're raised by a family,
- 9:25you're given a set of ideals to go by.
- 9:29And at some point,
- 9:31those change and those
- 9:32develop over time depending
- 9:34on your experiences and who
- 9:36you surround yourself so much.
- 9:43With that, you learn.
- 9:45If you just listen to
- 9:50different people and
- 9:51different perspectives,
- 9:53you learn where they come from.
- 9:55And at the very least,
- 9:55you get an understanding.
- 9:58It doesn't mean you're going
- 9:59to be swayed in a different direction,
- 10:02but then at least you can
- 10:03understand where they're coming from.
- 10:07And I guess I just was
- 10:08raised that it was okay
- 10:10that you and I don't agree on this thing.
- 10:14We can still love each other
- 10:16at the end of the day,
- 10:19but we can also learn from
- 10:20each other and we can
- 10:21understand each other.
- 10:23All of that has seemingly
- 10:26gone out the window.
- 10:29And I know it's probably
- 10:30just a small percentage of
- 10:31the population where this is happening,
- 10:33but it just feels like the
- 10:34country is at a divide and
- 10:37there's so much hatred.
- 10:38There's no talking to each other.
- 10:41There's no listening going on anymore.
- 10:43And when you don't listen to others,
- 10:46you fail to grow.
- 10:49You fail to grow as a human
- 10:52because you only look at
- 10:53things with one lens and
- 10:56And then you cannot
- 10:57understand what's going on anymore.
- 11:04I don't want to stop growing.
- 11:06I want to learn why people
- 11:07feel the way they do.
- 11:08I want to learn why people
- 11:10think the way they do.
- 11:13And the more I understand that,
- 11:16the better I can move on
- 11:17with my life and my direction.
- 11:27It's so freaking frustrating
- 11:31that this is where it's at,
- 11:36that I'm in my own echo
- 11:37chamber and I cannot listen
- 11:39to anything outside of it.
- 11:41And not only can I not be swayed,
- 11:44I can't understand.
- 11:47I can't even understand that
- 11:48you grew up differently,
- 11:50that you were given
- 11:51different set of values,
- 11:53and that you may look at
- 11:54the world in a different way.
- 11:57That's what I can't believe is happening.
- 12:02And because of that,
- 12:04you will fail to grow as a
- 12:05human being because you
- 12:07only surround yourself with
- 12:08your own perspective and what you know.
- 12:16And I thought we learned a lesson on nine,
- 12:18eleven in two thousand and one,
- 12:20but apparently twenty four years later,
- 12:22we are still.
- 12:25down the same damn rabbit hole,
- 12:38sort of like CrossFit and the WFP,
- 12:41I guess, but way, way less, way less.
- 12:54Jake says tribes.
- 12:56We all feel safe and people
- 12:58feel safe in their tribe.
- 13:00But there's no growth in safety.
- 13:04There's no growth because
- 13:07you're not learning anything new.
- 13:12You're just going to be
- 13:13stuck with the same comfy blanket,
- 13:16the same comfy people,
- 13:19because you're not willing
- 13:20to listen to others and understand.
- 13:32Exactly.
- 13:33Thank you, Jake.
- 13:37Ken Walters.
- 13:39It took me three years,
- 13:40but I love Jake now.
- 13:41See?
- 13:42See, Ken finally listened.
- 13:44Ken finally listened to Jake,
- 13:46and now he can love on Jake.
- 13:56No growth and comfort.
- 13:57No comfort and growth.
- 13:59That's it, man.
- 14:00That's it.
- 14:05And again,
- 14:10I don't want to turn the whole
- 14:10show into what happened
- 14:14yesterday with Charlie Kirk.
- 14:18But it just came to a head
- 14:20where at least I had to
- 14:20acknowledge it on the
- 14:22anniversary of nine eleven.
- 14:23They were going down a bad path.
- 14:35vindicates us.
- 14:36Someone should make that shirt, Corey.
- 14:38And wouldn't that be a cool shirt?
- 14:47People need to listen.
- 14:47We don't have to agree and that's okay.
- 14:49Just be kind.
- 14:52Just be kind.
- 14:57It seems so simple.
- 15:00I mean, I am a, I'm a Christian man.
- 15:06my bible says love your
- 15:08neighbor as you love
- 15:09yourself there are no
- 15:12exemptions to that none but
- 15:23anyway without growth
- 15:28things jake thought you
- 15:33were being serious for a second
- 15:39Claire,
- 15:39I appreciate you for acknowledging it.
- 15:43Yeah, I've debated.
- 15:45I listened to you and CJ
- 15:46this morning on my way to my test.
- 15:50And I could feel you guys
- 15:56wanting to talk about it, but it's hard.
- 15:59I've been thinking about
- 16:00this for almost twenty four hours.
- 16:02Like,
- 16:03where do I go with this and how do I
- 16:05talk about it and how do I make it?
- 16:11how do I make it make sense?
- 16:12And I, you can't,
- 16:14this does not make sense.
- 16:16None of it makes sense.
- 16:18So to even think that that's
- 16:19something that's possible
- 16:21is way above me.
- 16:26And I just want to acknowledge that nine,
- 16:31eleven impacted me deeply.
- 16:32I remember where I was that day.
- 16:34I remember where, um,
- 16:42I, my daughter was just born on nine,
- 16:44just before nine,
- 16:45it was like the first week
- 16:49or two that we had her in daycare.
- 16:51My wife had just gone back
- 16:53to work and all this happened.
- 16:55And all I could think of is
- 16:57I just want to hug my baby.
- 17:00And I left work and I went
- 17:02to get her and it was such a quiet,
- 17:05ominous day.
- 17:07There were no planes in the sky.
- 17:09There were no cars on the road.
- 17:12It was crazy.
- 17:14And I thought that that day we learned.
- 17:17We learned that we should
- 17:19stop and listen and
- 17:20understand and stop the hate.
- 17:23And here we are, twenty four years later,
- 17:26and it's not any better.
- 17:37Yet again,
- 17:38we have engineered ourselves into illness,
- 17:41in this case, emotional, mental,
- 17:42and spiritual.
- 17:48So, my advice is,
- 17:55you have two ears and one mouth.
- 17:57Listen more than you talk.
- 17:59Understand, be forgiving,
- 18:03and love your neighbor.
- 18:05And love on each other.
- 18:07And make sure you hug your
- 18:08loved ones today and let
- 18:09them know how much you love them.
- 18:11The image that is killing me
- 18:13today is seeing Charlie on
- 18:16the beach with his wife and
- 18:18kids and that those kids
- 18:21are now orphaned from their,
- 18:23they will not have a father and, um,
- 18:27a wife that has lost her husband.
- 18:29It did.
- 18:31That is devastating to me as
- 18:33a father and a husband.
- 18:43don't be an to each other
- 18:45that's uh amy who who is my
- 18:49friend who used to be on
- 18:50the show their family motto
- 18:51is don't be a dick so many
- 18:59of my friends feel
- 19:00differently than I do about
- 19:02a lot of things but it
- 19:03doesn't mean we can't be
- 19:04friends and we can't
- 19:05understand each other
- 19:19Now Jake is getting deep.
- 19:22This is a very similar
- 19:23position Europe found
- 19:24itself in after World War
- 19:25I. We wanted peace and calm
- 19:27and overall love.
- 19:28It built a soft economy and
- 19:30led to World War II.
- 19:31We humans require hardship.
- 19:42All right, guys.
- 19:45I don't want, like I said,
- 19:46I don't want this to be the whole show.
- 19:47So I'm going to click over
- 19:48to some other stuff.
- 19:50Um,
- 19:51before I get into like my main topic to
- 19:53finish up today.
- 19:54And I do have to get back to
- 19:56work at one today because I
- 19:58was off all morning for that test.
- 20:01Um, so I have to get back for that, but I,
- 20:04you know,
- 20:04that the service cup is coming up.
- 20:08Um,
- 20:08and I'm going to talk a little bit
- 20:09about adaptive games too.
- 20:11Um,
- 20:14Camel City CrossFit finished
- 20:15third at the CrossFit Games
- 20:17this year on a team.
- 20:20These two ladies are both
- 20:21Masters athletes.
- 20:23One of them is Caroline Klutz.
- 20:24The other is Stevie Dellinger.
- 20:27I got to meet Caroline last
- 20:29year at the Masters CrossFit Games.
- 20:31She's an amazing person.
- 20:33But what I love about this team is,
- 20:35and I love that they're
- 20:36being highlighted by CrossFit,
- 20:40Uh, Lee Sharon,
- 20:42who has been on the show
- 20:43before is a police officer.
- 20:46Uh, he is in the service cup, uh,
- 20:48as a police officer.
- 20:50Um, Evan Rogers,
- 20:51the other male on the team
- 20:52is a firefighter.
- 20:55Um, and they give his stats here.
- 20:59Stevie Dellinger is a CrossFit coach,
- 21:01which is one of the, um,
- 21:04categories as well in the service cup.
- 21:09And finally,
- 21:10Caroline Klutz is a registered dietitian,
- 21:12and she qualifies in the medical field.
- 21:14They all are service
- 21:17providers and are eligible
- 21:19for the Service Cup,
- 21:20and they're all on one team.
- 21:21And I found that that was a really,
- 21:23really cool story.
- 21:24And if you want to read more
- 21:25about each person,
- 21:27you can go check that out
- 21:29on the CrossFit Instagram account.
- 21:34And I think Mayhem posted this as well.
- 21:36So you can check CrossFit or Mayhem.
- 21:48So there you go.
- 21:58Okay,
- 21:59you guys are talking about something
- 22:00else.
- 22:00All right.
- 22:01So anyway, I found this very fascinating.
- 22:02So go check that out.
- 22:03They're all cool people.
- 22:06And I love that we're doing
- 22:07the Service Cup.
- 22:07It's being done through Mayhem.
- 22:10And at the end of this whole endeavor,
- 22:13they're all invited to
- 22:14Cookville to compete at
- 22:16Mayhem for the title of the
- 22:18different divisions.
- 22:21So I think that's really awesome.
- 22:23Plus, my own co-host is a schoolteacher.
- 22:25She has been fittest
- 22:26schoolteacher in the world before.
- 22:29Um,
- 22:29so it's cool that she is doing that as
- 22:32well.
- 22:32I don't know if she's doing
- 22:33the service cup,
- 22:34but she has in the past and she has one.
- 22:39So there is that.
- 22:42Also,
- 22:42we have the adaptive CrossFit games
- 22:44coming up this weekend in Las Vegas.
- 22:47I think they start today or tomorrow.
- 22:52So many different divisions.
- 22:56It is going to be announced
- 22:57by Bill Grundler and Jeremy Austin.
- 23:00They did a yeoman's work job last year,
- 23:05announcing all the different divisions.
- 23:09So...
- 23:11Tremendous job by them.
- 23:12They made it so much fun to watch.
- 23:15I hope that we get a chance
- 23:16to watch this year and see
- 23:19what they can do.
- 23:21But that starts either today or tomorrow.
- 23:23And it is awesome all weekend long.
- 23:26Make sure you go check it
- 23:27out and at least give them some love.
- 23:29Like go to the website.
- 23:31or go to the YouTube channel
- 23:33and just click on it,
- 23:34give them some views.
- 23:36Um, it,
- 23:37that helps them so much in this
- 23:39whole endeavor.
- 23:40And it's a little thing we
- 23:42can do as a community to
- 23:44support the adaptive athletes, um,
- 23:46who aren't doing this for money.
- 23:48They're doing it for the fun
- 23:49and the glory of hanging
- 23:50out with each other.
- 23:52And, uh,
- 23:53just click on their YouTube
- 23:54channel for a little bit each day,
- 23:56this weekend, it goes a long, long way.
- 24:00Holly is, athlete checking is today.
- 24:03Events start tomorrow.
- 24:05So there you go.
- 24:09Ed AI,
- 24:10no way could I beat Carolyn for
- 24:12fittest teacher.
- 24:13Maybe fittest teacher in my state.
- 24:19So there you go.
- 24:22Yeah.
- 24:25So here is my last question.
- 24:30to you guys when I was growing up.
- 24:33Um,
- 24:34and I was watching sports a lot as a kid,
- 24:37right?
- 24:38The big, the big endorsement deals, um,
- 24:43for different athletes were like,
- 24:45if you got the Gatorade
- 24:46deal or if you got the Nike deal,
- 24:48or if you got the Wheaties box,
- 24:50those were the big deal
- 24:52endorsement deals in, um,
- 24:56in sports overall as when I
- 24:58was a child now we look at
- 25:00the crossfit space and when
- 25:03it when crossfit was first
- 25:05going the reebok deal was
- 25:07the big deal right they
- 25:08were the big sponsor if you
- 25:10got the reebok deal it
- 25:11meant that you had made it
- 25:14then you know noble came in
- 25:16the picture and
- 25:19Go Ruck was here for a half second.
- 25:23We had those different things.
- 25:25Tears been here.
- 25:27My question to you is,
- 25:29do we have that deal in the
- 25:32CrossFit space that is that
- 25:36I've made it deal?
- 25:39Like when you sign with them,
- 25:41I've made it.
- 25:44When I was thinking about this last night,
- 25:48I was thinking like,
- 25:49I don't think there is one anymore.
- 25:52And then Jeff Baco just proved me wrong.
- 25:56That's the one.
- 25:58When you become a rogue athlete,
- 25:59that is the I've made it deal.
- 26:04That is.
- 26:09Yeah,
- 26:09Jason Hopper just named as a rogue
- 26:11athlete.
- 26:12Dallin Pepper got that last year.
- 26:14Ariel Lowen got that last year.
- 26:17Um, I think that's it,
- 26:20but that there are no shoe
- 26:22deals anymore that are the
- 26:24epitome of the sport or, um,
- 26:28or apparel deals.
- 26:30Maybe, uh, maybe Adidas can be that.
- 26:34Um, but I don't know.
- 26:37We thought that maybe with
- 26:38go rock or maybe with, I don't know.
- 26:47So Corey says, Rogue,
- 26:48the only other one even
- 26:49close is maybe Tier.
- 26:51I don't think Tier's like...
- 26:54Tier went after so many athletes,
- 26:56and I'm guessing because of that,
- 26:58the deals aren't that big
- 27:01because there's so many athletes.
- 27:03You know,
- 27:04when you spread the peanut butter
- 27:05that thin...
- 27:06You don't get that big gooey
- 27:08center where someone gets a
- 27:09lot of peanut butter, right?
- 27:11It is just spread so thin.
- 27:14And I've talked to a few
- 27:15athletes that they weren't
- 27:17compensated that great from tier.
- 27:20Now that this athlete was more at the time,
- 27:23upper to mid level that I
- 27:25talked to about the deal.
- 27:27So it wasn't like the Pat
- 27:31Vellner's and the Fikowski's and the,
- 27:36even the Alexis Raptuses of the world.
- 27:39Um,
- 27:40they may have got a more sweet deal
- 27:42than some people, but the,
- 27:45the person I talked to at
- 27:46the time didn't really get a lot, uh,
- 27:49for their, their tier deal.
- 28:03Um,
- 28:07Yeah, I think Adidas is coming up,
- 28:09but they're going to have
- 28:10to show that they're going
- 28:11to stay with it.
- 28:12And if they go all WFP,
- 28:14what does that mean?
- 28:17Because they're sponsoring their events.
- 28:20So that's going to be
- 28:21interesting to watch.
- 28:23Ken Walter still buys Margot
- 28:25Alvarez rogue athlete shirts.
- 28:28Yeah.
- 28:30And look at that deal.
- 28:31Like,
- 28:31Margo still gets invited to the
- 28:33Legends competition every year at Rogue,
- 28:36gets the trip, gets the whole nine.
- 28:40Like,
- 28:40it means something to be a Rogue athlete.
- 28:43They still take care of her
- 28:44five years after retirement.
- 28:53I agree with you, Sean.
- 28:55What would top rogue?
- 28:56It would probably have to
- 28:57come from outside the CrossFit space,
- 28:59like a Gatorade or a Nike.
- 29:06I think tier is huge, Barry, and I do,
- 29:08but I don't know if... Like I said,
- 29:11I've heard some of the compensation,
- 29:13and it's not the deal that
- 29:15I think people think it is.
- 29:17And again,
- 29:18I have not talked to their top athletes,
- 29:21a Roman...
- 29:23Someone like that.
- 29:24So I don't know.
- 29:26And I've never talked to a head to toe.
- 29:28It's only been the shoe deal.
- 29:33Amy Kringle is rad.
- 29:34And Jim Shark,
- 29:36given they just made a
- 29:37collab with the two,
- 29:39that signing is huge.
- 29:44She may have made out big in that deal,
- 29:47but I don't think anybody
- 29:48up and coming is going, man,
- 29:51I hope I get the Gymshark deal.
- 29:54It just doesn't invoke that same,
- 29:56like I've made it.
- 29:58Maybe Rad is kind of coming up that way,
- 30:02but I don't think Gymshark is for sure.
- 30:07Lito now wants some peanut butter.
- 30:10Don't you always want peanut butter?
- 30:14I'd never turn peanut butter down.
- 30:26Those new tier slide on
- 30:27shoes might be the ugliest
- 30:29thing in the space.
- 30:31And I am really biased against tier.
- 30:33Their shoes are not comfortable for me.
- 30:35They hurt my Achilles heel tremendously.
- 30:39I could never ever wear them.
- 30:43How much money are people
- 30:44making on the deal with rogue?
- 30:46I don't know about the money,
- 30:48but they're always like
- 30:49flown in for events.
- 30:51And like,
- 30:52if you look at Ariel's garage and
- 30:54the stuff that they made for them,
- 30:57for their new, not the garage,
- 30:59the new gym that they're
- 31:00building in the backyard.
- 31:02Like Lowen cut out of the
- 31:05frames so that they,
- 31:07it says Lowen on the gym
- 31:09rig and the equipment that they get.
- 31:12I know they get a pretty big
- 31:13allotment of equipment every year.
- 31:25State Farm Insurance ones
- 31:27are trying to be the new
- 31:28one to be in now.
- 31:29There you go.
- 31:30Rogers.
- 31:31Oh, sorry.
- 31:38Yeah, there's no Nike athletes today,
- 31:41unless it's European.
- 31:43And I think that's, like, other than Fi,
- 31:45I think all of the Reebok
- 31:47athletes are European as well.
- 31:57The new tier runners had great reviews.
- 32:00They may, they just don't, on my foot,
- 32:02they don't feel good.
- 32:12um uh tdc olive oil yeah I
- 32:30don't think I don't think
- 32:30that's got a lot of money
- 32:31making it's more of a
- 32:34boutique sponsor than it is
- 32:36a um one of the big big names
- 32:42Yeah,
- 32:43I remember Rogan again faster back in
- 32:45the day.
- 32:46Yeah, again faster, lost that quickly.
- 33:06Ask someone you know outside
- 33:08the CrossFit sphere if they
- 33:09had heard of TEAR and one
- 33:10percent chance they've heard of it.
- 33:13they've actually been
- 33:14sponsoring like reality tv
- 33:16shows too I don't know if
- 33:17you guys have noticed this
- 33:19they supplied the clothes
- 33:21for the challenge for a
- 33:22while and they supplied the
- 33:24clothes and the shoes for
- 33:25big brother for a minute um
- 33:28so they are like outside
- 33:29the crossfit space I heard
- 33:31of them back when I was a
- 33:32swimmer they were the up-and-comers
- 33:35back in when there was
- 33:37Speedo Arena and then Tear
- 33:40tried to jump in and take
- 33:41market share in the
- 33:43swimming space when I was a
- 33:45swimmer way back in the day.
- 33:47But they were really new to
- 33:49the market back then.
- 34:04I would imagine TNLSKD was a good deal.
- 34:08LSKD has money.
- 34:10I was really shocked that
- 34:13Anika finally makes the
- 34:14games and LSKD and her are
- 34:16now separating and she's
- 34:17now going with Jim Reapers.
- 34:25Jim Reapers now has Austin
- 34:28and her for sure.
- 34:31But I don't think they have
- 34:33the money like LSKD does.
- 34:46Viore could kill it if they
- 34:47got into CrossFit.
- 34:48They tried.
- 34:50They used to sponsor Talking
- 34:53Elite Fitness.
- 34:55And those guys charge a lot
- 34:57of money to be a sponsor.
- 34:59So they tried to make stuff to do that.
- 35:02Livvy Dunn has made them a ton of money.
- 35:11So.
- 35:20Joseph Ramirez,
- 35:21I'd be happy with a monthly
- 35:22t-shirt from Vindicate, but no,
- 35:24I'm no elite athlete.
- 35:25Yeah.
- 35:27Maybe,
- 35:27maybe Travis can start doing a
- 35:29monthly subscription.
- 35:31One, one mystery shirt a month.
- 35:46Oh, wow.
- 35:46You guys have loaded this up.
- 35:51Uh, Anika and T are very different.
- 35:52You are, you are correct.
- 35:55Jim Reapers also has Medeiros.
- 35:58They're bigger with powerlifting.
- 36:01I thought that Medeiros...
- 36:02Did Medeiros go Jim Reapers?
- 36:03I thought that he went Tear just recently.
- 36:06I could be wrong.
- 36:18Oh, that's right.
- 36:20Medeiros went with Rad.
- 36:23That's right.
- 36:25I was wrong all right guys I
- 36:34again after what's happened
- 36:36in the last few weeks let's
- 36:40just love one another let's
- 36:42go out there and understand
- 36:45listen and love one another be kind
- 36:50The world needs to be a
- 36:52little more forgiving.
- 36:54Just because people think
- 36:55differently than you
- 36:56doesn't mean that you can't
- 37:00talk and understand their
- 37:01perspective and see things
- 37:03through their lens.
- 37:06So with that, I got to get to work.
- 37:09You guys, you get back to work too.
- 37:11And I'll see everybody tomorrow.
- 37:12I got Jason Grubb on the show tomorrow.
- 37:15So we're going to have lunch
- 37:16with Grubb tomorrow, Friday.
- 37:19And with that, see you then.
- 37:22Bye, guys.
