- 1:25Speaker 1: Make sure you get it, but I'm going everywhere, including
- 1:27Speaker 1: the Irvine Improv in November. And that one always sells
- 1:30Speaker 1: out five shows that weekend of November 8th, 9th and 10th.
- 1:35Speaker 1: So check it out. OK, let me get into my
- 1:37Speaker 1: super fun weekend. I went to a fabulous weekend for
- 1:40Speaker 1: my friend Laurie Smith's daughter, Hannah Smith. And it was
- 1:44Speaker 1: beyond fabulous. It was in Santa Barbara because we I
- 1:48Speaker 1: just want to tell you how disgustingly hot it was
- 1:50Speaker 1: in L.A. And I rarely complain about LA weather because
- 1:54Speaker 1: it is the one fabulous thing and what you deal
- 1:56Speaker 1: with with paying the money that we pay and everything
- 1:59Speaker 1: else in LA is that the weather's nice. But it
- 2:02Speaker 1: is really gross and really hot and gross. So we
- 2:05Speaker 1: got to go to Santa Barbara, which was absolutely lovely,
- 2:08Speaker 1: like 30 degrees cooler and nothing gets me more excited
- 2:13Speaker 1: than when it's really hot like that. And then you
- 2:15Speaker 1: get in your car and you see the temperature go
- 2:17Speaker 1: down and down and down as you drive through California. Anyway,
- 2:23Speaker 1: it was fabulous. They did it at this beautiful estate,
- 2:27Speaker 1: got married over the ocean. Then we walked through the
- 2:31Speaker 1: estate to the backyard. It was so fun. There were
- 2:35Speaker 1: a couple of cool things that they did that I
- 2:38Speaker 1: really want to just talk about for wedding people. Now,
- 2:42Speaker 1: this is at a very expensive wedding, so I understand
- 2:45Speaker 1: not everyone can do this, but One thing is they
- 2:48Speaker 1: didn't have the recap day after brunch thing that a
- 2:54Speaker 1: lot of people do. I did it. And it was
- 2:58Speaker 1: kind of great, you know, because it's like you partied hard.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You don't want to get all cute. And we already
- 3:03Speaker 1: said goodbye. We already had our fun. If you got
- 3:06Speaker 1: too drunk, maybe you don't want to show up at
- 3:07Speaker 1: that brunch and have someone be like, oh, you had
- 3:09Speaker 1: a good time. And you're like, I don't even fucking remember. Like,
- 3:13Speaker 1: was there a cake? Like, who needs that? But what
- 3:16Speaker 1: they did that was so great is they had kind
- 3:19Speaker 1: of a pre-cocktail party situation for anybody that was invited
- 3:24Speaker 1: to the wedding to come after their rehearsal dinner and rehearsing.
- 3:30Speaker 1: And then they had their dinner, everyone who was in
- 3:32Speaker 1: the wedding. And then everybody else came and they had
- 3:35Speaker 1: pizza and open bar and everyone got to meet each other.
- 3:39Speaker 1: So then when you see each other the next day,
- 3:42Speaker 1: You've met all these people. It's not the first time.
- 3:44Speaker 1: So it made the wedding so much more fun. And
- 3:48Speaker 1: I just thought that was great. Also, I couldn't believe this,
- 3:53Speaker 1: but the bride sang an original song that she wrote
- 3:57Speaker 1: with her dad and the dad played guitar, Danny Smith.
- 4:01Speaker 1: And I just, I couldn't believe it. It was so good.
- 4:05Speaker 1: I told them that they have to make an original song.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I mean, they have to record it. because I mean,
- 4:14Speaker 1: it could, anybody could change like the, the words in
- 4:17Speaker 1: between about your spouse in this wedding, in the song
- 4:20Speaker 1: it is anyway. So it was fabulous. And then we
- 4:23Speaker 1: stayed at the beautiful Miramar Rosewood hotel, which was just very,
- 4:28Speaker 1: one of those places where you walk in and you
- 4:30Speaker 1: just smell the wealth. I mean, I dress like a
- 4:32Speaker 1: classy lady. I prepared my outfit for what it's like
- 4:35Speaker 1: to be a rich Santa Barbara woman. Um, I loved
- 4:40Speaker 1: every second of it. It's very, very pricey, but I
- 4:45Speaker 1: finally made it, you guys, thanks to Juicy Scoop. So
- 4:48Speaker 1: it was great in here. Peter and I enjoying ourselves. Yes,
- 4:53Speaker 1: I wore this dress before. I do wear things over
- 4:55Speaker 1: and over again so that I can afford the Miramar
- 4:59Speaker 1: and Rosewood on occasion. And I do my own hair
- 5:01Speaker 1: and makeup. Also saves me a lot of money. Anyway, so,
- 5:03Speaker 1: so fun.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Now, this was Juicy. OK, J-Lo is went to the
- 5:11Speaker 1: premiere of her movie, which was produced by Ben Affleck
- 5:17Speaker 1: and Matt Damon's production company about a wrestler. And she
- 5:21Speaker 1: plays the mother. She shows up in just the revenge dress.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I mean, the body's always banging, but it was this
- 5:31Speaker 1: like mirrorball sequence dress, full side cleavage.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Full ass cleavage.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Like it was like, she took two pieces of paper
- 5:40Speaker 1: and then just did like a little ribbon. So all
- 5:43Speaker 1: the side, the tiny waist, the start of the ass,
- 5:47Speaker 1: but then this part was covered. So it was like
- 5:49Speaker 1: class from the front, slut from the side. Looked amazing.
- 5:54Speaker 1: And then there is a photo that page six shared
- 5:59Speaker 1: of her sitting down, holding Ben, Matt Damon's hat, hand,
- 6:06Speaker 1: and having like an in-depth conversation. Ben Affleck did not
- 6:09Speaker 1: go to this premiere. Matt Damon did. And what I
- 6:12Speaker 1: think is so juicy about that is like, this is
- 6:16Speaker 1: his best friend, his partner. She's known him from the
- 6:19Speaker 1: first time they were engaged to this last one. And
- 6:24Speaker 1: first of all, you know, Matt Damon sounds and seems
- 6:27Speaker 1: like a peach. He's been married forever. No one has
- 6:29Speaker 1: a bad word to say about him. And he's a
- 6:31Speaker 1: good friend, but it just, You know, now it could
- 6:36Speaker 1: have been that he took her hand and was like, Jennifer,
- 6:40Speaker 1: you were so incredible in this movie. I knew that
- 6:44Speaker 1: you would just kill it. It could have been that.
- 6:47Speaker 1: It could have been nothing about Ben Affleck. But when
- 6:50Speaker 1: you see something like this, it's like when you go
- 6:52Speaker 1: to a party and you see someone that's connected to
- 6:55Speaker 1: your ex or your ex best friend or whatever, and
- 6:59Speaker 1: you kind of have that little like moment, maybe it's
- 7:02Speaker 1: the first time and you have the heart to heart
- 7:04Speaker 1: and you're like, I mean, it could have been like, girl,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I know what you've been through. I don't know why
- 7:10Speaker 1: he just got up and left one day. I don't
- 7:14Speaker 1: know what to tell you. He's a complicated dude, but you,
- 7:16Speaker 1: let's just focus on how talented you are in this movie.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Like you're going to get an Oscar. Who knows? And
- 7:22Speaker 1: wouldn't it be great because I believe it's more of
- 7:24Speaker 1: like a supporting role that she's doing in this movie and,
- 7:27Speaker 1: but it's getting buzz. And wouldn't that be great if
- 7:30Speaker 1: she got like the worst year of her life, uh,
- 7:34Speaker 1: also resulted in an Oscar in the next year. I
- 7:37Speaker 1: don't know. Or an Oscar nod or something. So I
- 7:41Speaker 1: feel like she's back on track with her side tits
- 7:45Speaker 1: and her good movie and all that. So there you go.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Vanderpump supposedly is filming a pilot with all new cast members.
- 7:58Speaker 1: And this is coming from Bravo Breaking News. And this
- 8:01Speaker 1: was an article, I think, from TMZ. And so they're
- 8:04Speaker 1: filming at the restaurant, all different people, hoping that some
- 8:08Speaker 1: of those people will, will be well enough to have
- 8:12Speaker 1: their own show. Maybe they'll merge them. Maybe they'll have
- 8:15Speaker 1: two separate, um, Vanderpump shows altogether and, you know, bring
- 8:19Speaker 1: back the original cast doing one thing, but then really
- 8:22Speaker 1: have a new young cast that actually works at the restaurants,
- 8:26Speaker 1: kind of the way the show started. Thought that was interesting. Um,
- 8:30Speaker 1: Our girl Kristen Doty, originally from Vanderpump Rules, she's dated
- 8:36Speaker 1: James Kennedy. She dated Tom Sandoval first, then James Kennedy,
- 8:42Speaker 1: had an indiscretion with Jax Taylor, then had a couple
- 8:47Speaker 1: other boyfriends and close engagements. She finally, she is happy
- 8:51Speaker 1: she got engaged to her boyfriend, who was also featured
- 8:55Speaker 1: on the show. And he's a normie from Colorado, now
- 8:58Speaker 1: a reality star with her. So good for her. And, um,
- 9:03Speaker 1: Ariana Maddox's brother, who I spoke about before, Jeremy, he
- 9:07Speaker 1: is facing a lot. Uh, his attorneys are fighting for him.
- 9:11Speaker 1: They're fighting these felony drug charges. He and his friend were, um,
- 9:17Speaker 1: their luggage, they were leaving Orlando international airport and they were,
- 9:22Speaker 1: they found large amounts of marijuana in their luggage, over
- 9:26Speaker 1: a hundred pounds of marijuana combined. Um, But he, you know,
- 9:33Speaker 1: is fighting this charge. He's on an $ 80, 000 bond, but
- 9:37Speaker 1: he could face anywhere between three and 30 years. So
- 9:42Speaker 1: I guess three, maybe three is the minimum and 30
- 9:45Speaker 1: is the maximum. I'm not sure. But the mother is
- 9:50Speaker 1: saying good things about him. His employer is like he
- 9:52Speaker 1: can still work here and he has a fiance. And,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you know, I just want to bring this up because
- 9:58Speaker 1: it's like Ariana got some kind of like shit like
- 10:03Speaker 1: in the talking of like, where's her brother? And she
- 10:06Speaker 1: wasn't there for the brother's birthday or she wasn't there
- 10:08Speaker 1: when the brother and the fiance got engaged. I don't know.
- 10:11Speaker 1: You know, these are adult siblings and she's got a
- 10:15Speaker 1: lot going on. And maybe it was just they just,
- 10:20Speaker 1: maybe there was a bunch of stuff we didn't know
- 10:21Speaker 1: about it. Maybe this was one of them. Maybe she
- 10:23Speaker 1: kind of felt he was involved in stuff that she
- 10:26Speaker 1: didn't want to sign off on and didn't want to
- 10:28Speaker 1: be a part of. And maybe she knew about it,
- 10:30Speaker 1: but didn't want to like tell the mother and maybe
- 10:32Speaker 1: she tried to tell him and he did it. We
- 10:34Speaker 1: don't know. But I mean, just sometimes when people judge that, Oh,
- 10:38Speaker 1: why wasn't the person? Oh, just because she's become a
- 10:40Speaker 1: big star. Now she's not hanging out with her brother.
- 10:43Speaker 1: It's not always what you think as someone, you know,
- 10:46Speaker 1: who shared a lot about my life and my adult
- 10:48Speaker 1: sibling relationships, things change when you become adults. And, and
- 10:52Speaker 1: then when one is a public figure, everyone always is
- 10:55Speaker 1: so quick to judge that that person is, you know,
- 10:58Speaker 1: is aren't who they used to be. So anyway, whatever happens.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 1: You know, I don't want to see anyone spend their
- 11:07Speaker 1: whole life in prison or anything, but I'm just kind
- 11:08Speaker 1: of thinking from her perspective, maybe that was a little
- 11:11Speaker 1: more to it than just, you know, than what we
- 11:15Speaker 1: first were seeing when other, When, you know, people were
- 11:18Speaker 1: throwing him parties and stuff and she wasn't there and
- 11:20Speaker 1: everyone was looking into it. Anna Delvey is on Dancing
- 11:24Speaker 1: with the Stars. Sheena Shea is not. A lot of
- 11:27Speaker 1: people were like, how could they do this to Sheena again?
- 11:30Speaker 1: Anna Delvey is, what? Why are you so poor? Why
- 11:33Speaker 1: do you dress like that? You remember her, okay? And
- 11:37Speaker 1: she was the one that, you know, was a total grifter.
- 11:41Speaker 1: She lied about her childhood, lied about, you know, where
- 11:44Speaker 1: she was from. And acted like she was so rich
- 11:47Speaker 1: and stole money from investors and, you know, made her
- 11:52Speaker 1: friend pay for this big vacation in Morocco that the
- 11:56Speaker 1: friend thought that she was being treated to. The whole thing. Anyway,
- 12:01Speaker 1: she did time. They did the documentary about her. And
- 12:05Speaker 1: now she's on Dancing with the Stars. But she is
- 12:07Speaker 1: very pissed at Whoopi Goldberg because Whoopi Goldberg spoke about
- 12:12Speaker 1: it on The View. And Whoopi said... That, you know,
- 12:18Speaker 1: that the that ice, because she's not American, allowed her
- 12:23Speaker 1: to travel and be part of Dancing with the Stars.
- 12:27Speaker 1: And Whoopi's like, you know, would they let other people
- 12:31Speaker 1: do that? That was in this situation, you know. And
- 12:35Speaker 1: but Anna's like responded, saying that she didn't get any
- 12:38Speaker 1: special treatment. And she explained that she finished her time
- 12:41Speaker 1: in prison. was under house arrest for three years and
- 12:44Speaker 1: paid all the money back she owed the victims by
- 12:47Speaker 1: March of 2022. So anyway, I didn't know that she
- 12:51Speaker 1: did pay back all the money. So, you know, good
- 12:54Speaker 1: for her, I guess. So, you know, it's Dancing with
- 12:57Speaker 1: the Grifters this year. And of course, they love that
- 13:01Speaker 1: she has an ankle bracelet still on. And I can't
- 13:04Speaker 1: wait to see the dance that they do about like
- 13:08Speaker 1: her breaking out from bars or whatever. And then they're
- 13:10Speaker 1: going to bedazzle the, you know, the ankle. I can
- 13:14Speaker 1: see it's like dancing the cha-cha-cha at a Delvey. And
- 13:18Speaker 1: then they'll like pan the camera just like on a bedazzled,
- 13:23Speaker 1: like get through that tan character shoe and then just
- 13:25Speaker 1: the bedazzled ankle bracelet. And then she'll be up and And,
- 13:30Speaker 1: you know, she looks good. Her legs look nice. She
- 13:32Speaker 1: looks good in the dress. So there you go with that.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Armie Hammer, when's he going to be on Dancing with
- 13:40Speaker 1: the Stars? He could use it because he was forced
- 13:42Speaker 1: to sell his truck. He can't afford the gas, he said.
- 13:46Speaker 1: He did a video about it. This was about a
- 13:48Speaker 1: week or two ago. No, it was a week ago,
- 13:51Speaker 1: August 27th. Anyway, and, you know, since he's not working,
- 13:56Speaker 1: since all the stuff happened with him, being into cannibalism
- 14:01Speaker 1: and writing weird texts to multiple girls. Well, Erica Jane,
- 14:05Speaker 1: that's right, baby, Erica Jane, she has shared that she
- 14:10Speaker 1: was his neighbor at one point and had his number
- 14:14Speaker 1: and was like, hey, it's so loud. Can you stop
- 14:17Speaker 1: playing all, you know, either invite me or stop being
- 14:20Speaker 1: so loud? Because she said two girls were fighting on
- 14:22Speaker 1: the front lawn one time when she rolled up over him.
- 14:26Speaker 1: And he's like, hey, I'm happy to come over and
- 14:29Speaker 1: make you a steak. And then she said he got COVID.
- 14:31Speaker 1: And then she found out that he would like to
- 14:33Speaker 1: make her a steak and eat her rib afterwards. And
- 14:36Speaker 1: so she never heard from him again. But, you know,
- 14:41Speaker 1: what will it take for him to come back? What
- 14:44Speaker 1: do you guys think? I've said from the very beginning,
- 14:48Speaker 1: I don't think this is the end for him. I
- 14:50Speaker 1: definitely think he'll start acting again soon because I just, um,
- 14:55Speaker 1: I actually figured the documentary about this whole scandal actually
- 15:01Speaker 1: made him seem less horrible than when it broke out
- 15:04Speaker 1: on social media. And we were just getting the, reading
- 15:08Speaker 1: the texts and all that other stuff. I think when
- 15:10Speaker 1: we saw everybody sort of share, we were like, Hmm,
- 15:13Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't, I don't think I think
- 15:15Speaker 1: he's a weirdo. I wouldn't want my daughter to date him.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I wouldn't want Erika Jayne to date him. Erika Jayne,
- 15:21Speaker 1: she doesn't want to date someone who doesn't even have
- 15:23Speaker 1: a car. He just had to sell his car. I mean,
- 15:25Speaker 1: that's not what she's looking for. Please. As with Mr.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Girardi.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I thought that man was going to be in my
- 15:30Speaker 1: life forever. Thought I was going to hold his hand
- 15:32Speaker 1: until he died. Well, look at me now. It's expensive
- 15:35Speaker 1: to be me. So there you go. Big weekend for
- 15:42Speaker 1: Travis and Taylor, they went. I don't know. There's so
- 15:45Speaker 1: much going on. They went to a wedding. They went
- 15:48Speaker 1: to the tennis thing. They had the new cocktail that
- 15:51Speaker 1: everyone's dying over, which is vodka, lemonade, melon balls, and chambronde,
- 15:57Speaker 1: whatever that purple like. Anyway, everyone's drinking at the tennis.
- 16:01Speaker 1: They were drinking and having fun. They're having a good time.
- 16:05Speaker 1: A lot of people tried to say that she was
- 16:06Speaker 1: in a fight with Brittany Mahoney because they weren't in
- 16:09Speaker 1: the same suites watching the game, but it's because they
- 16:11Speaker 1: each have their own suite. Because then they went to
- 16:13Speaker 1: the tennis together and they were asshole buddies again. So
- 16:15Speaker 1: there you go. But, you know, when's this going to happen?
- 16:21Speaker 1: They wore a lot of Gucci. Travis was wearing a
- 16:24Speaker 1: lot of Gucci. And it was this Gucci bucket hat
- 16:26Speaker 1: and this Gucci collared shirt. And I don't know. I
- 16:31Speaker 1: hope he got it for free. There is also a
- 16:33Speaker 1: Hallmark movie. We heard that this was coming. It's here,
- 16:36Speaker 1: you guys. It's going to be on the Hallmark channel.
- 16:39Speaker 1: And it's going to be on November 30th, just for
- 16:42Speaker 1: the holidays. And it's basically the story of Taylor and Travis.
- 16:50Speaker 1: So there's a blonde girl and a guy with some
- 16:54Speaker 1: facial hair and sitting on a football field in the
- 16:57Speaker 1: Chiefs' colors wearing Cannot. We have to watch that. That's
- 17:01Speaker 1: going to be a Juicy Scoop assignment. And I don't
- 17:03Speaker 1: even watch Hallmark movies, but I'm going to have to
- 17:05Speaker 1: watch that. Tom Brady was doing broadcasting and everyone says
- 17:10Speaker 1: he sucks. They said he was awful. They can't believe
- 17:14Speaker 1: that he got paid $ 32 million to do this job.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I don't know if that's just for one year, but whatever.
- 17:19Speaker 1: They said he wasn't good. I saw a quick clip
- 17:22Speaker 1: of him and he looked cute. So that's all I
- 17:23Speaker 1: care about. Kendrick Lamar is going to headline the Super Bowl.
- 17:28Speaker 1: I like his music a lot. I've never seen him
- 17:31Speaker 1: in live, but everyone says he's like an amazing performer.
- 17:36Speaker 1: So that's interesting. Also, Marlon Wayans did an interview recently,
- 17:41Speaker 1: and I thought this was so interesting. He said that
- 17:46Speaker 1: when they were doing In Living Color, for those of
- 17:49Speaker 1: you that are not familiar with Living in Color, it
- 17:51Speaker 1: was completely groundbreaking. And not just because J-Lo was one
- 17:56Speaker 1: of these dancing girls that did between the sketches. It was,
- 18:00Speaker 1: I mean, I remember we would stop everything on a
- 18:02Speaker 1: Sunday night in college to watch this. So they did
- 18:07Speaker 1: this thing where they had, according to Marlon, they had
- 18:12Speaker 1: like a special live episode of In Living Color to
- 18:17Speaker 1: air on Fox while the other network was playing the
- 18:22Speaker 1: Super Bowl. And And it was very, very edgy. I mean,
- 18:26Speaker 1: these sketches would never be allowed today, but hilariously funny
- 18:30Speaker 1: at the time. And funny today, but just not appropriate. Anyway.
- 18:34Speaker 1: And so people left the network where Super Bowl was
- 18:39Speaker 1: and went over to watch that. And so it was
- 18:42Speaker 1: after that, that then the people that produced the Super
- 18:44Speaker 1: Bowl was like, we have to have really big halftime shows.
- 18:49Speaker 1: And that's when they started booking all the big stars.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Really not prior to that. So that was like, you know,
- 18:55Speaker 1: early 90s. I never knew that. I never knew that.
- 18:59Speaker 1: But I remembered it. Now I remember seeing it and
- 19:02Speaker 1: remember hearing that that was like quite the coup. And
- 19:07Speaker 1: I thought that was pretty juicy. I'm watching a pretty
- 19:09Speaker 1: juicy show right now. Definitely, you guys, I need you
- 19:12Speaker 1: to watch it so we can discuss it because there's
- 19:14Speaker 1: already some things that bug me about it that I
- 19:16Speaker 1: need to get off my chest and talk about. But
- 19:19Speaker 1: it's keeping my interest, which is most important. And it's
- 19:22Speaker 1: on Netflix. It's called The Perfect Couple, based on a
- 19:25Speaker 1: book and with Nicole Kidman. And it starts out, it's
- 19:31Speaker 1: the rehearsal dinner for a big wedding weekend for a
- 19:34Speaker 1: rich family in Nantucket. And There is a murder. And
- 19:39Speaker 1: then they flash back like a year before. And you're
- 19:43Speaker 1: trying to figure out who killed this person and why.
- 19:47Speaker 1: And you know it's not going to be the obvious.
- 19:49Speaker 1: So you keep watching. it but there's definitely some weird
- 19:52Speaker 1: things about it that I just need to talk about
- 19:55Speaker 1: so I'm going to give you guys a week to
- 19:57Speaker 1: watch this it's a limited series and then we need
- 20:01Speaker 1: to go off okay because it's some things are very
- 20:05Speaker 1: odd like the opening scene of them dancing like just
- 20:07Speaker 1: so strange um Casey Anthony, top mom. That's what Nancy
- 20:14Speaker 1: Grace used to call her. Casey Anthony, top mom. OK,
- 20:18Speaker 1: she's a top mom. And sad to remind you the
- 20:23Speaker 1: sad story. This is the again, another one. She could
- 20:26Speaker 1: be on Dancing with the Stars. They have not asked
- 20:29Speaker 1: her yet because she's not popular. So I can see that.
- 20:32Speaker 1: But because she was accused of killing her toddler daughter.
- 20:37Speaker 1: But she did get off in the end. And then
- 20:39Speaker 1: recently she had a Netflix documentary where she blamed the
- 20:43Speaker 1: death on her dad, said she had nothing to do
- 20:46Speaker 1: with it, and told this whole story that the dad
- 20:49Speaker 1: did it. Anyway, she is out having the time of
- 20:54Speaker 1: her life with her new boyfriend. This is according to
- 20:57Speaker 1: New York Post. And apparently he blew off his wife
- 21:02Speaker 1: of 20 years to be with her and their just
- 21:06Speaker 1: really happy. It has nothing to do with a wife.
- 21:08Speaker 1: They're just really having a great time. And then in
- 21:10Speaker 1: the article, it was like a source said that they
- 21:14Speaker 1: saw them at a restaurant and he said to her,
- 21:16Speaker 1: bring that innocent ass over here. I'm like, no, he
- 21:19Speaker 1: did not. No, I don't believe that part of the story.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Do I believe that they're together?
- 21:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Do I believe that maybe he left his wife of
- 21:26Speaker 1: 20 years? Yeah. But I don't think you're at a
- 21:28Speaker 1: restaurant being like, hey, Bring that innocent ass, like you
- 21:32Speaker 1: were innocent for killing your daughter. If they're together, they're
- 21:35Speaker 1: never bringing up the fact of what she lived through
- 21:38Speaker 1: in the past. They're just acting like it didn't happen.
- 21:40Speaker 1: That's my opinion. All right, you guys, we have so
- 21:42Speaker 1: many other fun topics to discuss. I have a new
- 21:45Speaker 1: Juicy Scooper, but she might not be new to all
- 21:48Speaker 1: of you because she opened for me a few times
- 21:52Speaker 1: this tour. I love her. She's adorable, and she's so funny.
- 21:55Speaker 1: She has a great stand-up. Brittany Brave is here.

- 22:30Speaker 4: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 22:33Speaker 4: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 22:36Speaker 4: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 22:41Speaker 4: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Life is one long lesson of chaos. I'm heading to
- 22:47Speaker 1: the Emmys, and I have police complaints filed against me.
- 22:50Speaker 3: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 22:52Speaker 3: what would you do if it was given back?
- 22:55Speaker 4: Where did that need come from, where you thought that
- 22:58Speaker 4: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 23:00Speaker 3: He said, I have a work dad.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I need a home dad.
- 23:02Speaker 3: What happens next? When I came in, he started crying.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 23:09Speaker 4: those hard moments that they go through.
- 23:11Speaker 3: It's about what happens next.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 23:16Speaker 1: every day was. You're worth the work.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 23:20Speaker 1: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 23:22Speaker 4: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 23:25Speaker 4: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 23:36Speaker 1: All right. We are back with Brittany Brave. Brittany, you're
- 23:40Speaker 1: so adorable.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 23:41Speaker 1: And tell everybody how we met.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Our success story, our love story. We met in
- 23:51Speaker 3: April of this year. I had somebody from the improv
- 23:55Speaker 3: reach out and say, Heather McDonald. needs an opener this weekend.
- 24:00Speaker 3: I actually was going to ask them to be able
- 24:02Speaker 3: to open for you. Oh, really?
- 24:03Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like, and then I think there was
- 24:06Speaker 3: like a miscommunication where one of the GMs of the
- 24:10Speaker 3: improv said, I thought she wanted a male opener, didn't
- 24:12Speaker 3: want a female opener, because I know everyone has specifics
- 24:16Speaker 3: for who they want to open for them. And I said, oh, OK.
- 24:19Speaker 3: And then literally two days later, like one of the
- 24:21Speaker 3: heads of the improv was like, Heather needs an opener.
- 24:23Speaker 3: And I was like, absolutely. And it was an interesting
- 24:27Speaker 3: weekend for me, too, because I just quit my radio job.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 24:31Speaker 3: And I had thrown together a big event for our
- 24:33Speaker 3: morning show that Friday night. And then this came up
- 24:37Speaker 3: and they were like, oh, do you want to open
- 24:38Speaker 3: for Heather McDonald? And I was like, I absolutely do.
- 24:41Speaker 3: So bailed on that, rushed up to West Palm. And
- 24:44Speaker 3: here we are.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Yeah. Yes. And then and then we did another couple
- 24:47Speaker 1: shows in Florida.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Tampa and Orlando. Yes.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Yes.
- 24:51Speaker 3: So you I don't know if you know this, but
- 24:53Speaker 3: that Tampa crowd. was so, I mean, they were so fun.
- 24:56Speaker 3: It was at the Hard Rock. They were so wild.
- 24:58Speaker 3: A woman in the crowd was laughing so hard during
- 25:01Speaker 3: both of our sets and I think very drunk. Somebody
- 25:03Speaker 3: told me that she walked in with two drinks and
- 25:06Speaker 3: she threw up into her drinks because she was both
- 25:09Speaker 3: drunk and I guess having such a good time during
- 25:12Speaker 3: our sets. And she threw up in her drink and
- 25:16Speaker 3: then didn't leave because she was having such a good time.
- 25:19Speaker 1: That's how great it is, you guys, to come see stand-up.
- 25:22Speaker 1: It's CS Live, yeah. Um, So, OK, you were just
- 25:25Speaker 1: right when you got here telling me, reminding me of
- 25:28Speaker 1: an interesting story you had regarding P. Diddy.
- 25:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Tell that story.
- 25:33Speaker 3: OK, so earlier this summer, like June, I threw a
- 25:37Speaker 3: roast of P. Diddy because obviously all these accusations came out.
- 25:42Speaker 3: that are horrifying, even though people have been calling him
- 25:45Speaker 3: out on this behavior for like over a decade, right?
- 25:48Speaker 3: And I myself, I'm a domestic violence survivor too. So
- 25:52Speaker 3: I dated a monster for three years and sent him
- 25:55Speaker 3: to jail, got out, got a restraining order.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Wait, I don't know all this.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't even know if I've ever told you. Yeah,
- 26:00Speaker 3: this was a couple years ago now. But yeah, yeah,
- 26:03Speaker 3: dark time.
- 26:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Well, wait, where is he now?
- 26:07Speaker 3: I think he's in Salt Lake City.
- 26:09Speaker 1: So he did his time.
- 26:10Speaker 3: He did his time, and then we went to court again,
- 26:14Speaker 3: and then he got off on a plea bargain, which
- 26:16Speaker 3: was like total bullshit. But I have a restraining order,
- 26:20Speaker 3: and he's been out of my life now for five years.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Everyone's always like, is he dead? I'm like, no, but
- 26:24Speaker 3: he's living in Salt Lake City, so that's close enough.
- 26:27Speaker 3: He's just surrounded by Mormon wives.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Right. Well, thank God. We might see him on the
- 26:31Speaker 1: new Mormon show.
- 26:32Speaker 3: You never know.
- 26:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Secret Lives of... Listen, by Mormon girls, beware of this person. No. What...
- 26:39Speaker 1: I just want to ask a couple questions.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely.
- 26:41Speaker 1: So you found yourself in this relationship.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 26:44Speaker 1: And then when, when did there come a time where
- 26:49Speaker 1: Brittany brave, you're brave enough to just be like, I
- 26:53Speaker 1: can't do this anymore.
- 26:54Speaker 3: Yeah. I, um, and believe it or not, brave is
- 26:56Speaker 3: really my last name. I think because I went through
- 26:59Speaker 3: that and I also do stand up, everybody's always like,
- 27:01Speaker 3: what a killer stage name. And I'm like, Nope, just
- 27:04Speaker 3: my Italian parents assimilated when they moved here. Yeah, we
- 27:08Speaker 3: met when I was working in the music business. I
- 27:10Speaker 3: was a publicist at Columbia Records and Sony, and he
- 27:13Speaker 3: was a manager and met. He was a lot older
- 27:17Speaker 3: than me.
- 27:17Speaker 1: How much older?
- 27:18Speaker 3: 17, 18 years.
- 27:20Speaker 1: So how old were you when you met him?
- 27:21Speaker 3: Mid-20s, early 20s, so he was 40.
- 27:23Speaker 1: That's such a big difference at that age.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree.
- 27:26Speaker 1: If you were 40 and he was 55, it's a
- 27:28Speaker 1: whole different story, you know, or even 35 and 50.
- 27:30Speaker 1: But early 20s is Yes, it's over 18, but wow. Yeah.
- 27:36Speaker 1: You know, it's young.
- 27:37Speaker 3: I say that all the time. I'm always like, you know, yeah,
- 27:39Speaker 3: like 30 to 40, then you're kind of more or
- 27:41Speaker 3: less at the same place in life. And the funny
- 27:43Speaker 3: part is when I told even just my mom, you know,
- 27:46Speaker 3: about the age difference and that he had been married
- 27:49Speaker 3: once and divorced, which there's nothing wrong with that.
- 27:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 27:52Speaker 3: But also he had a seven-month-old baby daughter, like with
- 27:56Speaker 3: his baby mama.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Oh, so, God.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Yeah, who is actually a former Playboy bunny, and she's wonderful,
- 28:02Speaker 3: Deanna Brooks. Yeah, and we're friends now. And did you.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Become friends once? Yeah. And did he tell you awful
- 28:10Speaker 1: things about her?
- 28:11Speaker 3: Yeah. So it was such classic DV. The thing about
- 28:15Speaker 3: these relationships is they're always very textbook.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Okay, so tell us the textbook signs. So, for instance—
- 28:21Speaker 1: I'm very lucky to never have experienced anything like this.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Yeah, totally.
- 28:26Speaker 1: But let's share.
- 28:27Speaker 3: So— One of the number one things, and I look
- 28:29Speaker 3: for it, I think it's like the biggest red flag
- 28:31Speaker 3: in dating now, is whenever a person is unable to,
- 28:35Speaker 3: if not speak highly of their ex, that whole dragging
- 28:38Speaker 3: of their ex, and like, they're the problem, they were crazy.
- 28:43Speaker 3: It's a huge red flag for me any time a
- 28:45Speaker 3: man calls a woman crazy now, because that's usually like, well,
- 28:48Speaker 3: what did you do to warrant that reaction? And did
- 28:52Speaker 3: she call you out on your shit? Did she send
- 28:55Speaker 3: you to jail? Did she get a restraining order? Obviously,
- 28:58Speaker 3: no two cases.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Were you cheating and she looked at your phone?
- 29:01Speaker 3: Literally.
- 29:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:02Speaker 1: That's, yeah. No drama, please. It's like, no, that's not drama.
- 29:06Speaker 1: You were cheating.
- 29:07Speaker 3: You were cheating and you got caught. I remember one
- 29:09Speaker 3: time I literally caught him red-handed cheating and he said,
- 29:11Speaker 3: he goes, yeah, the issue is that you talk to
- 29:14Speaker 3: my friends and you go looking. And I'm like, that's
- 29:17Speaker 3: like getting caught for murder and on trial being like, well...
- 29:22Speaker 3: if you didn't show up to the scene of the crime,
- 29:24Speaker 3: I wouldn't be here. That's the same logic. But that's
- 29:28Speaker 3: number one red flag, is he always spoke really badly
- 29:30Speaker 3: of her. She was crazy, she was over emotional. She
- 29:33Speaker 3: was hiding the kid from him. It was like so dramatic.
- 29:37Speaker 3: Number two, she warned me. She had reached out once
- 29:40Speaker 3: she figured out that we were dating and I got
- 29:42Speaker 3: like 13 DMs and it was like, oh, you're the
- 29:47Speaker 3: new girlfriend. Well, well, well. And honestly, it foreshadowed so
- 29:53Speaker 3: much of the relationship.
- 29:55Speaker 1: But at that time, you weren't going to receive it
- 29:58Speaker 1: because you were believing that she was crazy. So you're like,
- 30:00Speaker 1: of course you're jealous of me and you're going to
- 30:02Speaker 1: try to ruin our love.
- 30:03Speaker 3: 100%. And it's like, I also was young. It was
- 30:07Speaker 3: the first time I was really in love. He was
- 30:09Speaker 3: a lot older. That always got thrown in my face.
- 30:12Speaker 3: It was always like, well, you wouldn't know. You've never
- 30:15Speaker 3: been married. You wouldn't know. I'm older than you. I've
- 30:18Speaker 3: lived more life than you. And yeah, when you're in
- 30:21Speaker 3: love with someone, your rose-colored goggles are on, right? Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 3: I remember it feeling weird and I definitely brought him
- 30:28Speaker 3: the DMs like, let's chat about this. Some of this
- 30:33Speaker 3: is concerning. And he was like, she's fucking crazy and
- 30:36Speaker 3: this and that. But the thing is, you can't hide,
- 30:40Speaker 3: you can only hide that behavior and that toxicity for
- 30:43Speaker 3: so long. Literally, He was moved into my apartment before I.
- 30:48Speaker 1: So wait, the rich older guy, but he moves in
- 30:51Speaker 1: with you?
- 30:51Speaker 3: No, he wasn't rich.
- 30:54Speaker 1: At all.
- 30:54Speaker 3: He talked a big game and.
- 30:56Speaker 1: So was there a love bombing aspect to this as well?
- 30:59Speaker 3: A thousand percent.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Tell me how that happened.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Oh my God. You're the love of my life.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Right off the bat.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Right off the bat. I'm obsessed with you. I've never
- 31:08Speaker 3: met anybody like you. And if you're like in your
- 31:11Speaker 3: mid 20s... And a young girl and you've never been
- 31:14Speaker 3: in love before.
- 31:15Speaker 1: See, I think love bombing can happen to anybody. Anybody.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Because I think it's like someone just tells you how
- 31:20Speaker 1: great you are and you're like, finally, somebody gets me.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 31:23Speaker 3: I agree. Exactly. I agree I'm gorgeous.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I agree this body should be wanting to be banged
- 31:28Speaker 1: every day.
- 31:29Speaker 3: I've been waiting my whole life for someone to be
- 31:31Speaker 3: obsessed with me.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Finally. Finally. Yeah.
- 31:34Speaker 3: And also like in 2024, like dating has changed so much.
- 31:37Speaker 3: It's so hard to even get guys now to express
- 31:40Speaker 3: interest or make a plan or follow through. So yes,
- 31:43Speaker 3: when you do have a guy in front of you
- 31:45Speaker 3: who you're into and he's into you, I feel like
- 31:49Speaker 3: everybody gets a lot bombed nowadays. It's so common. But
- 31:53Speaker 3: it was a lot. It's funny because my mom and
- 31:55Speaker 3: everybody around me was like, this is a lot quickly.
- 31:59Speaker 3: And my parents were like, we don't understand why a
- 32:02Speaker 3: 40-year-old man is moving in with his 23, 24-year-old girlfriend.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Why is he not with his seven-month-old daughter? Where is
- 32:11Speaker 3: the mother of his child? Like, all very valid.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Do you have other kids with the first wife?
- 32:16Speaker 4: No.
- 32:16Speaker 3: No kids with the first wife.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Okay, just the one baby.
- 32:19Speaker 4: Okay.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Yep.
- 32:19Speaker 1: And did he have any visitation, which then you played
- 32:22Speaker 1: stepmom to?
- 32:23Speaker 3: I did. I played stepmom a little bit in the relationship. Like,
- 32:27Speaker 3: I mean, he was a deadbeat on, like, every front. Like,
- 32:30Speaker 3: I remember having to remind him of his own daughter's birthday. Like,
- 32:32Speaker 3: it was crazy.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Like, I was like, her.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Birthday is next week. You know, and he was like, oh, right.
- 32:38Speaker 3: And I'm like, are you going to visit? Are you
- 32:40Speaker 3: going to do something? So, yeah, it all I was
- 32:44Speaker 3: super in love and he moved into my apartment. It
- 32:47Speaker 3: was like, I really want to stay with you for
- 32:49Speaker 3: the summer in New York. He had said he was
- 32:51Speaker 3: living in L.A. at the time. Later learned he was evicted,
- 32:54Speaker 3: did not have a place to live. He was actually
- 32:55Speaker 3: with his parents in Lubbock, Texas. Like it was every
- 33:00Speaker 3: part of his life as the relationship went on. just
- 33:03Speaker 3: like fell apart. Like every, nothing added up. Yeah, everything.
- 33:08Speaker 4: Nightmare.
- 33:08Speaker 1: So then when did it turn to a violent situation?
- 33:12Speaker 3: Situation. So honestly, it was about six months in. Around
- 33:18Speaker 3: three months in is when I started having some trust issues.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Like just, you know, weird text messages from girls, stories
- 33:25Speaker 3: not adding up.
- 33:26Speaker 1: So was he like a good looking, charming guy so
- 33:28Speaker 1: that he could get girls to be interested in him,
- 33:30Speaker 1: I assume?
- 33:31Speaker 3: No, to be honest. He was like not ugly, but
- 33:37Speaker 3: I guess if I were to give him credit, like
- 33:39Speaker 3: he was, he knew how to talk to people. He
- 33:41Speaker 3: was a manager in the, in show business.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Right.
- 33:43Speaker 3: You know what I mean? So like he was very smart.
- 33:46Speaker 3: He was good at his job. I think he knew
- 33:48Speaker 3: how to like schmooze and talk to people. And I
- 33:51Speaker 3: think at some point when you're like in your early twenties,
- 33:53Speaker 3: mid twenties, an older guy is really like appealing to you.
- 33:57Speaker 3: You're like, Oh, he has his shit together. And, He's
- 33:59Speaker 3: older and there won't be as many games, which I
- 34:02Speaker 3: guess to his credit in pursuing me, there weren't games.
- 34:05Speaker 3: But yeah, he was like, oh, I want to come
- 34:07Speaker 3: hang out with you for the summer in New York.
- 34:09Speaker 3: And I said, OK, but you should probably still stay
- 34:11Speaker 3: with your friends. We're still just dating early on. And
- 34:15Speaker 3: then I don't know, before I knew it, he was
- 34:18Speaker 3: moved in, basically living in New York. We were fully together.
- 34:21Speaker 3: And then, yeah, there was one night where he went out,
- 34:26Speaker 3: lied about where he was going I don't know why
- 34:29Speaker 3: it clearly was up to something that he didn't want
- 34:32Speaker 3: me to know came home hammered drunk like early to
- 34:37Speaker 3: like 8 p.m comes home hammered probably coked out there
- 34:41Speaker 3: was a huge there was obviously substance abuse issues too
- 34:44Speaker 3: and I just kind of caught him in a lie
- 34:46Speaker 3: and I said well what I don't know why you
- 34:48Speaker 3: would lie about going to this happy hour like I
- 34:50Speaker 3: don't there's I didn't accuse you of anything I didn't
- 34:53Speaker 3: have any issues and he just went from like zero
- 34:56Speaker 3: to a hundred and he tried to like shove me
- 34:59Speaker 3: out of my own apartment. Like he tried to, he
- 35:02Speaker 3: was like, it's never gonna be enough. I didn't do it.
- 35:05Speaker 3: He was like irrational, so drunk. And I was near
- 35:10Speaker 3: the door of my apartment because I wanted to go
- 35:11Speaker 3: for a walk and he pushed me out of my
- 35:13Speaker 3: own apartment. And when I tried to get back in,
- 35:15Speaker 3: he closed the door on my hand. Yeah. And I
- 35:18Speaker 3: was like, okay, that was the first incident. And then
- 35:22Speaker 3: we walked it back from that. I'm sorry, I was
- 35:25Speaker 3: too drunk. I did lie. I shouldn't have lied. I
- 35:28Speaker 3: really wasn't, all the textbook stuff. And then it just,
- 35:32Speaker 3: it got bad. It was really bad. Like to the
- 35:34Speaker 3: point where I didn't even really want to send him
- 35:37Speaker 3: to jail. I just wanted to get a restraining order
- 35:39Speaker 3: when I was ready to go. And when I presented
- 35:42Speaker 3: all the evidence, death threats, domestic incident reports, every time
- 35:47Speaker 3: I had to call the cops on him because he
- 35:48Speaker 3: was out of control, the detective I worked with in
- 35:51Speaker 3: New York was like, oh, he needs, he needs.
- 35:53Speaker 1: To go to jail.
- 35:54Speaker 3: Like, This is aggravated harassment, harassment, assault. This is like
- 35:59Speaker 3: out of your hands now. So here we are.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Yeah. And it also sounds like you finally had a
- 36:04Speaker 1: detective that cares. You often hear that people don't, you know,
- 36:09Speaker 1: they're like, oh, we need more or whatever. Yeah. So
- 36:14Speaker 1: then you, so then he got arrested.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:17Speaker 3: And I left. I literally fled. Like we, I flew
- 36:21Speaker 3: to Salt Lake City for one last weekend to try
- 36:23Speaker 3: to work it out, to, Even though everybody in my
- 36:27Speaker 3: life at this point was so over him. At some point,
- 36:31Speaker 3: relationships like this isolate you from everybody. They were like, okay,
- 36:35Speaker 3: we can't get through to her. She keeps trying to leave.
- 36:39Speaker 3: He keeps coming back. She keeps coming back. It's such
- 36:41Speaker 3: a vicious, hard cycle. I went to Salt Lake City.
- 36:45Speaker 3: It was supposed to be our hurrah, let's heal, let's
- 36:48Speaker 3: rekindle weekend. Of course, a day in, he's a violent drunk.
- 36:53Speaker 3: monster again. Um, really bad. And I, when he was
- 36:59Speaker 3: busy watching TV, I stepped outside of his apartment, called
- 37:02Speaker 3: American Airlines, switched my flight silently. He had no idea.
- 37:05Speaker 3: And then I got out of bed at like three
- 37:09Speaker 3: 30 in the morning when he was like dead asleep,
- 37:11Speaker 3: finished packing and left. Like I was supposed to stay
- 37:14Speaker 3: like two more days and I just, the light switch
- 37:17Speaker 3: went off. So like my advice always to girls or
- 37:19Speaker 3: people in this situation is like, You do have the
- 37:22Speaker 3: strength to leave. You can leave. And also if you're
- 37:25Speaker 3: friends or you're near somebody who's going through something like this,
- 37:27Speaker 3: like they will, they will leave. But a lot of
- 37:29Speaker 3: the times you have to arrive at that conclusion on
- 37:31Speaker 3: your own, which I did.
- 37:32Speaker 5: I did.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:33Speaker 3: But I literally, he woke up and I was gone.
- 37:35Speaker 3: And by the time I had landed in New York,
- 37:37Speaker 3: I had him blocked on everything. And I just went
- 37:39Speaker 3: straight to the courthouse in Dumbo, Brooklyn. And I was like,
- 37:43Speaker 3: please help me.
- 37:44Speaker 1: And then did he get arrested in Salt Lake?
- 37:47Speaker 3: So he got arrested a month later. Um, it was the, the,
- 37:51Speaker 3: Messed up thing is even if there's multiple incidents across
- 37:55Speaker 3: the country, which there were because we lived in L.A.
- 37:58Speaker 3: for a little time together, there were incidents in Salt Lake,
- 38:00Speaker 3: incidents in Miami where I live now. Obviously, New York
- 38:04Speaker 3: can only rule over New York and that jurisdiction. So
- 38:09Speaker 3: I knew he was going to visit a month later.
- 38:11Speaker 3: I had just I restart my life. I had just
- 38:14Speaker 3: moved to a new area of Brooklyn. He knew the neighborhood,
- 38:17Speaker 3: but he had no idea what the cross street subway
- 38:19Speaker 3: stops were. And the detective said, okay, well, when he's
- 38:22Speaker 3: in town, we have to serve him the restraining order
- 38:25Speaker 3: and we'll arrest him. We have to do it in person.
- 38:27Speaker 3: I said, okay. So I was working with my detective
- 38:30Speaker 3: all week, like using context clues through like burner accounts,
- 38:34Speaker 3: mutual friends to try to find him, to get them
- 38:37Speaker 3: to just serve him and arrest him. And this is
- 38:41Speaker 3: so much, I know I've never told you any of this.
- 38:43Speaker 1: No, no. I, um, I.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Went to a new client show at Gramercy Theater in
- 38:48Speaker 3: New York, and I told my detective, I know he's
- 38:50Speaker 3: gonna be here. And the detectives, a couple of them
- 38:53Speaker 3: was working with me.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Wait, what do you mean a new show? You were performing.
- 38:56Speaker 3: I was still a publicist at the time. I hadn't
- 38:58Speaker 3: even started comedy.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 39:00Speaker 3: And I was like, I have a feeling he's gonna
- 39:02Speaker 3: show up. He knows I like this band. He knows.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Oh, I see.
- 39:04Speaker 3: And they were like, okay, yeah, yeah, okay. And I
- 39:07Speaker 3: was like, really? Like, I'm telling you guys, I know him.
- 39:11Speaker 3: He's gonna try to see me while he's in New York.
- 39:13Speaker 3: This is where he's gonna pull up. Sure enough, Halfway
- 39:16Speaker 3: through the show, I get a text from him. He
- 39:18Speaker 3: took a picture of me in the crowd. And he's like,
- 39:20Speaker 3: I'm here. I'm afraid to say hi to you, but
- 39:22Speaker 3: I was hoping we could. I freak out. Detectives don't
- 39:26Speaker 3: have my back in this moment. They're not there. I'm crying.
- 39:29Speaker 3: I run out of the venue. The next morning, he called.
- 39:33Speaker 3: He's like, please see me, love you, we can work it,
- 39:37Speaker 3: all the usual crap. Called my detective, I'm like, this
- 39:40Speaker 3: is his last day in New York, this is our
- 39:42Speaker 3: last chance. If you're gonna serve him, this is the
- 39:45Speaker 3: last opportunity. Female detective.
- 39:47Speaker 1: And this was just a service so that you could
- 39:50Speaker 1: be granted the restraining order. And then you were kind
- 39:53Speaker 1: of like, hey, what happens after that is your deal.
- 39:56Speaker 4: 100%.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Okay, got it.
- 39:58Speaker 3: And also they were planning to arrest him on aggravated harassment, harassment,
- 40:02Speaker 3: and assault. Those were the three charges. And I called
- 40:06Speaker 3: her and I said he really, he somehow figured out
- 40:09Speaker 3: where I live. Not surprising. And he picked a bar
- 40:13Speaker 3: on the block of my new apartment. Again, have no
- 40:15Speaker 3: idea how he figured this out. And he said, please
- 40:18Speaker 3: just come meet me for a drink. Please just talk
- 40:19Speaker 3: to me. And the detective said, text him right now
- 40:22Speaker 3: and tell him, sure, I'll meet you. Give me 20 minutes.
- 40:25Speaker 3: And I told him that, and he said, okay. And
- 40:27Speaker 3: then instead of me meeting him at the bar, it
- 40:30Speaker 3: was two women, two. Two women who walked up to
- 40:33Speaker 3: him and were like, close your tab. And he was like,
- 40:36Speaker 3: what's happening? And they were like, what's happening is you're
- 40:38Speaker 3: under arrest. And arrested him at the bar, served him
- 40:43Speaker 3: the restraining order, and here we are. So he thought, yeah. Juicy, right?
- 40:47Speaker 1: His girlfriend slash victim turned survivor slash detective was going
- 40:53Speaker 1: to meet him, forgive him, and fall in love again.
- 40:57Speaker 1: And instead, he spent the night in jail.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Yeah, and he was in jail for a couple weeks
- 41:03Speaker 3: because it wasn't actually the first time that he had
- 41:05Speaker 3: gone to jail because I had to call the cops
- 41:08Speaker 3: because of a terrible incident. Yeah. he blew through everybody
- 41:12Speaker 3: in his life that he could have called for bail money.
- 41:14Speaker 3: Like he had no, he had nobody left. He isolated
- 41:19Speaker 3: crappy person. He isolated his clients, his friends, everybody. He
- 41:22Speaker 3: had nobody left. Um, yeah, it was, and it's a
- 41:26Speaker 3: mix of emotions too. Cause it's like empowering, freeing. Oh
- 41:30Speaker 3: my God, I finally did it. Like I really, that's
- 41:33Speaker 3: why I was so anxious that week with, and working
- 41:35Speaker 3: so closely with the detectives to get this stuff locked
- 41:38Speaker 3: in and arrest him and give him the order. Cause
- 41:39Speaker 3: I was like, finally for the first time in three years,
- 41:42Speaker 3: I saw the light and I was really ready to leave.
- 41:44Speaker 3: And I'm like, please like end this for me while,
- 41:48Speaker 3: while I feel strong enough to get out of this. Right. Um,
- 41:52Speaker 3: and then, yeah, he had, he eventually got bailed out
- 41:54Speaker 3: of jail and then we went back to court three
- 41:55Speaker 3: months later. Um, and he got off on a plea bargain.
- 41:59Speaker 3: He basically pled guilty to like one of the charges
- 42:03Speaker 3: and he did anger management, some fines, some community service,
- 42:07Speaker 3: all that kind of stuff. But Yeah, I currently have
- 42:10Speaker 3: a restraining order. He can't come near me.
- 42:13Speaker 1: And he is not tried or violent?
- 42:15Speaker 3: He is not tried. Thank God. I will say that.
- 42:17Speaker 3: He is not tried. I think I've truly scared him, finally. Good.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Yeah. You should be on that. There's a new show
- 42:24Speaker 1: on Netflix, The Worst Ex Ever or something.
- 42:27Speaker 3: I should be on that.
- 42:29Speaker 1: I've seen a couple. I've seen a couple. They're like
- 42:32Speaker 1: little documentary one-episode segments. I would love it.
- 42:36Speaker 3: If they need a new host, I'm here.
- 42:38Speaker 2: It's not a host.
- 42:39Speaker 1: They can do your story, though.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I would love to.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Okay, so now getting back to, so now you're doing stand-up.
- 42:47Speaker 3: Yes.
- 42:47Speaker 1: You've been doing it for how long?
- 42:49Speaker 3: Four, four and a half years, something like that.
- 42:51Speaker 1: So did you start the stand-up after this chapter of
- 42:53Speaker 1: your life ended?
- 42:54Speaker 3: I did, because the first couple of things I really
- 42:57Speaker 3: wanted to joke about were, like, the first jokes I
- 42:59Speaker 3: wrote are, like, really dark and about this experience. And, like,
- 43:02Speaker 3: I would tell my friends, and they'd be crying laughing
- 43:05Speaker 3: at me. What is it?
- 43:06Speaker 1: Can you tell everyone now? Oh, yeah.
- 43:07Speaker 3: I have, like, one of my jokes is, like, I
- 43:10Speaker 3: sent him to jail. And I was, like, the judge was, like,
- 43:13Speaker 3: 25 to life. And my first thought was, oh, my God,
- 43:15Speaker 3: he's finally so committed. Like, just, like, and I'm, like,
- 43:21Speaker 3: I got to see him in handcuffs. And I was, like, oh,
- 43:23Speaker 3: to think you were the one that never wanted this
- 43:24Speaker 3: to get serious. Like, certain things like that. And I
- 43:27Speaker 3: talk about how, like, I'm a rescue dog now because
- 43:30Speaker 3: of that relationship. And I had a really funny story
- 43:33Speaker 3: when I was trying to get my restraining order. I
- 43:36Speaker 3: was sitting next to a girl, deep Brooklyn. We were
- 43:38Speaker 3: at like family court. And she was like, why are
- 43:40Speaker 3: you here? And she was like a very like Brooklyn girl.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Like really, like she's like, why are you here? And
- 43:46Speaker 3: I was like, my boyfriend like hit me and he's
- 43:49Speaker 3: kind of crazy. So I'm trying to get a restraining
- 43:51Speaker 3: order to end this. And she's like, okay. I go,
- 43:53Speaker 3: why are you here? And she was like, I need
- 43:55Speaker 3: to get a restraining order against my man and his
- 43:58Speaker 3: new girl. Because I'm pissed he moved on, and I
- 44:01Speaker 3: don't like her. So if I get a restraining order
- 44:04Speaker 3: against them, then they grant it to me, and I
- 44:07Speaker 3: can fuck them up, and nobody can do nothing. And
- 44:09Speaker 3: in my head, I'm like, I don't think that's how.
- 44:12Speaker 1: And then you're like, and this is why sometimes the
- 44:15Speaker 1: detectives will say, we need more, ma'am. Because there's people
- 44:18Speaker 1: like that.
- 44:18Speaker 3: I was like, you go, girl. But so funny, such
- 44:22Speaker 3: a New York girl, because she immediately had my back.
- 44:24Speaker 3: She's like, does he live in New York? And I
- 44:26Speaker 3: was like, nobody comes here a lot for work. She
- 44:28Speaker 3: was like, if I see him, I'm going to fuck
- 44:30Speaker 3: him up. I'll find him. I'll kill him. I will.
- 44:34Speaker 3: And it was so funny because she walked, poor thing
- 44:36Speaker 3: walks in the courthouse and then walks out and looks
- 44:38Speaker 3: at me. She goes, oh, they didn't give it to me.
- 44:41Speaker 1: That's the other thing that people also need to realize
- 44:44Speaker 1: is if you are granted a restraining order.
- 44:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:47Speaker 1: It is very hard for all these reasons. And, you know,
- 44:52Speaker 1: if you're the person that is trying to where they're
- 44:55Speaker 1: trying to get it against you you don't want it
- 44:57Speaker 1: because it is on your record it will show up
- 44:59Speaker 1: on things so that's why other people will fight it
- 45:03Speaker 1: and it is a big deal so it is.
- 45:04Speaker 3: And it's it's also too like if you're the one
- 45:07Speaker 3: who and this is where it's twisted if you request
- 45:11Speaker 3: the restraining order and it's given to you that person
- 45:15Speaker 3: can't come near you but you can choose to break
- 45:19Speaker 3: it at any point. Which, honestly, with domestic violence happens
- 45:23Speaker 3: a lot because it's such a vicious cycle and there's
- 45:26Speaker 3: so many mind games and there's vulnerability and you're not
- 45:30Speaker 3: in your obviously best physical and mental state when you're
- 45:33Speaker 3: with somebody for that long. But then obviously if you
- 45:36Speaker 3: break your own restraining order that you got, that's obviously
- 45:38Speaker 3: gonna work against you should something else happen. It's very,
- 45:42Speaker 3: I mean, one time when I went in to go
- 45:44Speaker 3: renew it, I got told no. Cause the first time
- 45:46Speaker 3: I had a female judge and she effortlessly granted it
- 45:49Speaker 3: and like rolled her eyes at everything he said in court,
- 45:52Speaker 3: like the usual, like, well, she provoked me. Well, she's crazy.
- 45:55Speaker 3: And the, and she was such a badass. She was like, Oh, okay. Okay. Like,
- 46:00Speaker 3: but the next time I had a male judge and
- 46:02Speaker 3: he was like, well, I don't know. He's been on
- 46:04Speaker 3: his best behavior. He didn't break the restraining order. And
- 46:06Speaker 3: I'm like, I understand that, but I also want to
- 46:08Speaker 3: like keep it in place because I like to continue
- 46:11Speaker 3: living my life free of his presence and, And I
- 46:14Speaker 3: had to really contest it for a couple months and stuff.
- 46:17Speaker 3: So it's, it's all, it's crazy.
- 46:19Speaker 1: So you have it and you haven't it for how
- 46:21Speaker 1: much longer now?
- 46:23Speaker 3: It's indefinite now.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:24Speaker 3: Like I'm fine now, but I had to like, and
- 46:27Speaker 3: I could have also like pursued bigger charges and one
- 46:29Speaker 3: of my DV advocates really like wanted me to, but
- 46:33Speaker 3: then I spoke to somebody else and they were like, listen,
- 46:36Speaker 3: you do have a case. Like there's a lot of
- 46:37Speaker 3: things that you could also address and press charges. And
- 46:40Speaker 3: if you really want to like, Send him to jail forever.
- 46:43Speaker 3: You have a case, but they're like, also consider what
- 46:47Speaker 3: you're putting yourself through. And you're probably ready to move on, right?
- 46:51Speaker 3: And I'm like, yeah. And they're like, probably just take
- 46:54Speaker 3: your restraining order. It'll keep him away from you. And
- 46:57Speaker 3: just try to start a new chapter. Instead of put
- 46:59Speaker 3: yourself through the ringer again. Yeah, start a comedy after that.
- 47:04Speaker 3: I did.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:05Speaker 3: Trauma. That's why everyone goes trauma. I go, yeah, that's
- 47:07Speaker 3: really what led me to stand up specifically. So, yeah.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Well, comedy is tragedy plus time.
- 47:12Speaker 3: I'm saying. Yeah.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Now, when you first started this story, you were saying
- 47:16Speaker 1: you did a like a comedic roast or what was
- 47:19Speaker 1: this about?
- 47:20Speaker 3: It was a roast of P. Diddy. So that story,
- 47:23Speaker 3: I hope, gives like that kind of context because obviously
- 47:25Speaker 3: I'm really passionate about DV and helping survivors and victims.
- 47:30Speaker 1: And I.
- 47:31Speaker 3: was really upset about all the stuff coming out about P. Diddy,
- 47:33Speaker 3: and I think I was even more upset about some
- 47:35Speaker 3: of my friends' reactions. People I considered friends being like, well,
- 47:40Speaker 3: we don't know if he's guilty. And I'm like, did
- 47:42Speaker 3: you see the hotel footage? I don't know, and it
- 47:44Speaker 3: was just upsetting for me, given what I went through.
- 47:47Speaker 3: So I was like, I just wanna roast his ass.
- 47:49Speaker 3: I wanna get a bunch of comics, and I just
- 47:51Speaker 3: wanna write jokes, all the tickets will go to charity,
- 47:54Speaker 3: the National Domestic Violence Hotline. All the comics were on board.
- 47:59Speaker 3: It was great. They were like, this will be fun,
- 48:01Speaker 3: fun writing exercise. Yeah, let's roast this billionaire pedophile abuser.
- 48:07Speaker 3: And the bar that I ended up picking in Miami,
- 48:10Speaker 3: on board immediately, they were like, let's do it. I
- 48:13Speaker 3: was only in town for one week, and that week
- 48:16Speaker 3: they were already speaking to 50 Cent about a potential
- 48:20Speaker 3: promotional appearance for his new cognac. And they were like,
- 48:24Speaker 3: if we could pull this off, This would be, if
- 48:27Speaker 3: we can align the dates, I even canceled a gig
- 48:29Speaker 3: in DC, they were like, we can get him to
- 48:32Speaker 3: come by, we'll tell him the roast is happening, and
- 48:34Speaker 3: maybe he'll, and he did. We couldn't announce that he
- 48:39Speaker 3: was coming, but we could tease it, and then, yeah,
- 48:43Speaker 3: night of the show, he rolled up, he knew it
- 48:45Speaker 3: was a roast, he knew it was for charity, he
- 48:47Speaker 3: was like, 100%, I wanna be there. It was great
- 48:51Speaker 3: because we got a bunch of national coverage. We raised
- 48:53Speaker 3: more money than we would have. It was wild. Crazy.
- 48:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 48:58Speaker 3: I hit on 50 Cent. I flirted with him. It
- 48:59Speaker 3: was great.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I've hung out with 50 too.
- 49:03Speaker 3: He's sweet.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Yes. We hung out for a few weeks because he
- 49:08Speaker 1: was dating Chelsea.
- 49:09Speaker 3: I remember that.
- 49:10Speaker 1: And he was totally a nice delight.
- 49:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:13Speaker 1: That's all I can say.
- 49:14Speaker 3: He's so nice. And he was so nice to the comics,
- 49:17Speaker 3: especially once he learned about the cause and stuff. He
- 49:20Speaker 3: was like 100%. I mean, he's also like a famed
- 49:23Speaker 3: Diddy hater. So I'm sure the petty side of him
- 49:26Speaker 3: was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. But also he was like,
- 49:29Speaker 3: this is a great cause. Absolutely. And afterwards he was like,
- 49:34Speaker 3: I could never be a comedian. What you guys just
- 49:36Speaker 3: did was so great. And then I got someone from
- 49:40Speaker 3: his team's number, and they were like, he wants to
- 49:41Speaker 3: party with you. And I was like, ah! But, yeah, anyways,
- 49:44Speaker 3: nothing happened. I wish it did. I should have. But, anyway.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Okay, well, I want to tell you about this book
- 49:51Speaker 1: called There Is No Ethan. This is from the New
- 49:53Speaker 1: York Post. It's based on a true story. So I've
- 49:58Speaker 1: actually– this story is just fascinating. So– These three women
- 50:04Speaker 1: found each other because they realized they were all being
- 50:06Speaker 1: catfished by this guy named Ethan.
- 50:10Speaker 3: So it was an Ethan.
- 50:11Speaker 1: Ethan was actually a female gynecologist. Oh. Who, when she's
- 50:18Speaker 1: not working as a medical doctor, did this for fun.
- 50:24Speaker 1: So would create, you know, whatever, a stock photo of
- 50:28Speaker 1: some guy or something.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:30Speaker 1: And- went on dating sites, met the women, and never,
- 50:36Speaker 1: I guess, never did FaceTime or maybe never talked on
- 50:38Speaker 1: the phone, which I always think that's weird. Like, how
- 50:41Speaker 1: long do you go? And I've never experienced, you know,
- 50:43Speaker 1: apps and stuff like that.
- 50:45Speaker 3: I don't really use them.
- 50:45Speaker 1: But how long would you go solely texting in a
- 50:50Speaker 1: relationship before you're like, hey, either we get on the
- 50:53Speaker 1: phone or your face. So, you know, but she did.
- 50:58Speaker 1: I haven't read the book, but She did waste these
- 51:00Speaker 1: girls' times, these women's times. And they let the hospital know. Yeah.
- 51:07Speaker 1: And everything. And they're like, well, we looked into it
- 51:10Speaker 1: and it was 10 years ago. And we think that,
- 51:14Speaker 1: you know, she's done really well and it's fine. And
- 51:17Speaker 1: I'm like, and the thing about this is I listened
- 51:20Speaker 1: to this podcast. this great long podcast about it. It's
- 51:25Speaker 1: from the podcast called something was wrong. And this, it
- 51:29Speaker 1: was like several episodes in it. And it was about,
- 51:33Speaker 1: and it was about a girl that pretended to, she
- 51:39Speaker 1: would meet, she would present herself as a guy online. Yeah.
- 51:44Speaker 1: And just lead women on. And then, and then would
- 51:47Speaker 1: become physical friends with the girl.
- 51:49Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 51:50Speaker 1: And sometimes there were several girls and sometimes she would
- 51:52Speaker 1: do it with, she'd become their roommate.
- 51:54Speaker 3: Yeah. And the whole time. She's also catfishing them.
- 51:57Speaker 1: She would be like in the bed next to them
- 51:59Speaker 1: watching a movie just as friends.
- 52:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:02Speaker 1: They were like, is she a lesbian? And she'd be
- 52:04Speaker 1: texting them back as the guy. And the thing is
- 52:08Speaker 1: that both that story and this is that she would,
- 52:11Speaker 1: that these women that present to be guys.
- 52:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 52:14Speaker 1: To a straight, to a girl who thinks they're in
- 52:15Speaker 1: a straight relationship with someone. They create all this drama.
- 52:18Speaker 1: They're like, never mind. You clearly don't want me. They
- 52:22Speaker 1: both faked cancer.
- 52:23Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Cancer, like being ill.
- 52:27Speaker 1: And then so then these girls are like, well, I
- 52:29Speaker 1: can't leave him now. Sometimes there's different characters that they'll play.
- 52:33Speaker 1: So then they also are suddenly friends with the fake
- 52:36Speaker 1: boyfriend's cousin.
- 52:37Speaker 3: Yeah. And it's all the person. And it's all this
- 52:41Speaker 3: one person who's doing it. And it's a girl.
- 52:42Speaker 1: Yes. In both of these cases, one which was, and
- 52:46Speaker 1: in both of the cases, when the victims tried to
- 52:50Speaker 1: get police involved, it isn't really a crime. Because unless
- 52:55Speaker 1: they tried to extort money from you.
- 52:58Speaker 5: Sure.
- 52:58Speaker 3: Or harm you.
- 53:00Speaker 1: Or harm you, which they didn't. They just wasted your time.
- 53:03Speaker 1: It was just full-blown emotional cyber abuse.
- 53:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:07Speaker 1: And faking who they are. In the case of the
- 53:11Speaker 1: story from the podcast, There was a guy, and he's like, oh,
- 53:16Speaker 1: my God, because somebody found his face, and he's like,
- 53:20Speaker 1: she's doing this again?
- 53:21Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 53:22Speaker 1: She's used my face before to fake out women.
- 53:26Speaker 3: That's not a crime, though? Like, using somebody else's likeness
- 53:29Speaker 3: and image? Like, that's got to be the one thing, that, right?
- 53:31Speaker 1: Right. There's something a little bit there, but still, it's
- 53:34Speaker 1: just a very... You know, sometimes these crimes, my sister's
- 53:38Speaker 1: a criminal defense attorney. She's like, so many of these things,
- 53:41Speaker 1: we're not caught up yet with what's happening. So there
- 53:44Speaker 1: isn't like law precedence for, it's like.
- 53:47Speaker 3: Sure.
- 53:47Speaker 1: And they're just kind of like, can you just change
- 53:49Speaker 1: your number? Can you just block this? And then.
- 53:51Speaker 3: Totally.
- 53:52Speaker 1: But then the victims are like, yeah, but. She has
- 53:54Speaker 1: a sickness.
- 53:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:56Speaker 1: She's done this now to four other women. Yeah. And
- 53:59Speaker 1: so this woman has a book out and this is
- 54:02Speaker 1: the doctor.
- 54:04Speaker 3: That's insane. So she's professionally a gynecologist.
- 54:08Speaker 1: A female doctor for a female body part.
- 54:10Speaker 3: So you're saying to me she makes great money. She's
- 54:13Speaker 3: a professional gynecologist day in and day out. She's interacting
- 54:17Speaker 3: with women already and arguably one of the most vulnerable...
- 54:21Speaker 3: settings yeah.
- 54:22Speaker 1: That's not enough i also want to like and the
- 54:25Speaker 1: joy mentally ruin them that's crazy what i think it's
- 54:27Speaker 1: so crazy that it's a woman is when you've seen
- 54:30Speaker 1: this happen before yeah with with men pretending to be
- 54:34Speaker 1: successful or pretending getting getting women to fall in love
- 54:37Speaker 1: with them as a game and or even with regular
- 54:41Speaker 1: grifter people that um you know get joy out of
- 54:45Speaker 1: seeing you be excited because you think you're going to
- 54:47Speaker 1: be part of this big business that's a scam or whatever.
- 54:50Speaker 1: They get off on it. Or a guy that's, like,
- 54:52Speaker 1: taking his girlfriend, or even in person, a guy that's, like,
- 54:56Speaker 1: taking the girlfriend to see houses. I always think that's sad.
- 54:59Speaker 1: It always seems like realtors have to deal with a
- 55:01Speaker 1: lot of weird grifters, too.
- 55:02Speaker 3: I'm sure. Because that's always this.
- 55:03Speaker 1: And so now you're, like, and I think they get
- 55:05Speaker 1: off on seeing the realtor think, like, oh, God, I've
- 55:08Speaker 1: had my license for a year.
- 55:10Speaker 3: I might make this sale.
- 55:11Speaker 1: I might have this sale.
- 55:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:13Speaker 1: It's such a weird thing.
- 55:14Speaker 3: I mean, I live in Miami, so that's the capital
- 55:16Speaker 3: for everything you're talking about right now. Like literally everything
- 55:19Speaker 3: you do. Every man's like a character from Grand Theft Auto.
- 55:23Speaker 3: Everybody's trying to sell you on a business plan. And
- 55:25Speaker 3: then you're like, so what is it you do? And
- 55:27Speaker 3: they're like, I'm just out here grinding, connecting the dot.
- 55:30Speaker 3: And you're like, this isn't all of a sudden all
- 55:32Speaker 3: the money in your account's wired out. So I get it.
- 55:35Speaker 3: I'm around it. I'm constantly dodging it in Miami all
- 55:38Speaker 3: the time.
- 55:38Speaker 1: But I find whether it's a man or a woman, Yeah.
- 55:41Speaker 1: More intriguing that it's a woman.
- 55:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:45Speaker 1: So you end your hard day of being a medical doctor.
- 55:49Speaker 1: And then you're like getting in weird text fights with
- 55:54Speaker 1: an attractive woman who thinks this might be her boyfriend.
- 55:57Speaker 1: Like she makes him. Oh, the one thing that she
- 56:00Speaker 1: also did is she made him Jewish. And she found
- 56:04Speaker 1: a Catholic girl. Got the Catholic girl to fall in
- 56:07Speaker 1: love with her.
- 56:07Speaker 3: Got her to convert to Judaism?
- 56:09Speaker 1: No, but then was like, well, to really- Not going
- 56:12Speaker 1: to work. Not going to work, my mother won't accept you.
- 56:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Wow, that's believable.
- 56:20Speaker 3: I've gone through that personally. But I'm saying.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Just the tactical ways to seeking out this girl to go,
- 56:28Speaker 1: Almost like seeing, okay, I'm on the Tinder or whatever. Yeah.
- 56:32Speaker 1: And I don't know what side it was. But I'm
- 56:34Speaker 1: on the Tinder and I'm as this fake guy and
- 56:39Speaker 1: I'm seeking out girls to and sees this person. Yeah.
- 56:44Speaker 1: And is like, oh, I'll pursue this one because then
- 56:48Speaker 1: in five weeks I will break her heart. And won't
- 56:52Speaker 1: that be fun for me on a Tuesday night while
- 56:54Speaker 1: I'm alone in my bed?
- 56:55Speaker 3: That's why. And she doesn't have any sexual interest in
- 57:01Speaker 3: sleeping with women.
- 57:02Speaker 1: We don't know that part because it's just, we'd have
- 57:05Speaker 1: to read the book. But it's just, hey, if you're
- 57:08Speaker 1: the author, come write me. Let's have you on. Also,
- 57:11Speaker 1: does she have like, does.
- 57:13Speaker 3: Gynecologists have high levels of testosterone in her body? Because
- 57:16Speaker 3: this is like straight male behavior. To just want to
- 57:19Speaker 3: like play mind games with a poor woman and waste
- 57:23Speaker 3: her time.
- 57:24Speaker 1: I mean, I think it's a level... of, I think there's,
- 57:28Speaker 1: soon there'll probably be some type of like real diagnosis
- 57:31Speaker 1: in this day and age, but it's a level of
- 57:33Speaker 1: being a troll, having like several identities, playing with people's
- 57:41Speaker 1: emotions somehow that you'll never really meet.
- 57:44Speaker 3: And you also won't suffer any real consequence because like
- 57:46Speaker 3: you said, there's no way to really arrest her.
- 57:49Speaker 1: I mean, in this case, I don't know if she
- 57:53Speaker 1: knew any of these women personally as her as her
- 57:57Speaker 1: normal person. In the other case I talked about, that
- 58:02Speaker 1: girl was like roommates with them.
- 58:04Speaker 3: And quite literally in bed with these people.
- 58:06Speaker 1: Like as friends. As friends.
- 58:08Speaker 3: That's crazy. I feel like also the number one red
- 58:11Speaker 3: flag is like, I feel like both of these women
- 58:14Speaker 3: in this scenario would be the kind of woman that's like,
- 58:16Speaker 3: I don't have a lot of female friends or something.
- 58:19Speaker 3: They'd probably be like, all my friends are men. Because
- 58:21Speaker 3: this is like, to just want to like ruin women's lives.
- 58:26Speaker 3: Like this is insane. And it's just such a cruel thing.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Because like you said, like, Love and dating is so hard.
- 58:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:33Speaker 1: And then you create this person that sounds great, looks great.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Same with the other case. Like they, if, you know,
- 58:40Speaker 1: she would create a guy to then like pursue her friend.
- 58:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:46Speaker 1: That she knows a friend would like, like. You know,
- 58:50Speaker 1: if they're in a more conservative town, she made him
- 58:52Speaker 1: a little edgy and liberal with some tats.
- 58:55Speaker 3: Sure, sure, sure. And if it's in Austin, then he
- 58:57Speaker 3: obviously works in tech or something.
- 58:59Speaker 1: They just created this where a girl's like, oh my God, actually?
- 59:02Speaker 1: This guy's perfect for me.
- 59:05Speaker 3: And this is wild. I don't even know where to.
- 59:08Speaker 3: And it was always like this.
- 59:10Speaker 1: Like an accident. Like I was going to meet you,
- 59:12Speaker 1: but now I got in this car accident and then
- 59:15Speaker 1: it's like, and you know, okay, should I drive all
- 59:18Speaker 1: this way and see you? And then, Oh no, my
- 59:21Speaker 1: phone was dead. Sorry that you already drove back.
- 59:24Speaker 3: I didn't know that. No, I didn't know that now
- 59:26Speaker 3: whenever I have A, either a new female friend or B,
- 59:29Speaker 3: God forbid, I need to switch gynecologists. Like, I didn't
- 59:32Speaker 3: know that one of the preliminary questions needs to be like,
- 59:34Speaker 3: what do you do in your free time? Can I
- 59:37Speaker 3: hook you up to a lie detector machine to see
- 59:40Speaker 3: like who you really are? That's, this is. Although, it
- 59:44Speaker 3: does give me a little bit of hope because I've
- 59:45Speaker 3: always joked for years that I'm like, we need a
- 59:47Speaker 3: really good diabolical female character. I'm always like, we need
- 59:52Speaker 3: a female serial killer. The most famed serial killers are
- 59:55Speaker 3: always men, like the Zodiac Killer or John Wick.
- 59:59Speaker 1: I think that's what makes it fascinating because as- Yeah,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: it's a woman. Yeah, and women can be horrible. Women
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: can be narcissists, women can be horrible, women can be evil,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: women can lie, women can fake.
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: You know, it really breaks my heart.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: There aren't as the percentage is down. It's always going
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: to be a little bit less just because it just is. Yeah.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: But there's there's evil bitches out there.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: This is crazy. This is insane. And I also feel
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: like catfishing like dating in 2024. Everyone kind of cat.
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: Same way. Like love bombing. Everyone kind of love bombs,
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: I feel. Men just kind of love bombs. I feel
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: like it happens to everybody. And I feel like catfishing
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: happens to everybody, too. Even on a smaller scale, you
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: think a guy is one way, and then he's not.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: I have so many girlfriends who go through that. They're like,
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: I thought he had his shit together. And then three
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: months in, I'm paying for everything. Or, surprise, there's a
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: kid or something. So this is like.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: My friend's daughter, she's a teenager, and she's like, we
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: went to go play... the sport against this very rich
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: LA prestigious school.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: And this one girl was just horrible, horrible, mean, awful,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: just like the meanest. They couldn't believe how mean this was.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Yeah. And, um, And so then on the whole bus
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: ride back, they went and looked up her Instagram and
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: she comes from famous parents and she goes, but she goes,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: but she's totally catfishing. Like her Instagram doesn't look anything
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: like what she looked like as the 16 year old girl,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: but she has these famous parents and she's just a
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: mean person. So she's like, we didn't care looking her
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: up and being like, she's a fucking liar because it
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: was just, and I of course know all she's talking about,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: but I'm not going to say it on the show.
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: Oh yeah, totally.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: I was like, oh my God, like what? And they're
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: at this like, you know, prestigious Christian school and they're
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: just a horrible mean girl.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: But that's, it's, that's crazy. This is insane. I just
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: wish people would find a regular hobby instead of just
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: doing this. It's great. Well, we had like in Miami,
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: we had, it's not quite catfishing, but it's crazy. And
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: it's like one of our biggest scandals in our comedy scene.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: So there was a girl who, it's just comedy. And
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: I think like, she had some issues with partying and
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: drinking and stuff like that, but it would never kind
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: of add up. Whenever she acted badly, it was one
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: of two excuses. It was either like, oh, well, I'm sorry,
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: I really need to get clean and I know that
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: my drinking and my drug use is out of control,
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: or when she would do something shitty, it was the opposite,
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: where it was like, okay, well, I'm recently clean, so
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: I'm still trying to get, the stories never added up
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: and she always used her partying as an excuse for
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: her crazy behavior. I, from the day I met her,
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: I thought I got like a weird vibe from the whole,
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: in her face and her vibe and everything. I was like,
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: I don't, this, I was like, she really looks like
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: she would be like Casey Anthony's accomplice. Like, she really,
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: crazy energy. So like, she would do, she borrowed my
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: friend's car one day. She was supposed to bring it
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: back at the end of the day. She went off
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: grid on her, ghosted her. Her phone didn't die. Brought
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: the car back two days later. My friend was literally
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: about to call the police. And she goes, what is
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: wrong with you? Like, I told you you could borrow
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: my car for a day. She goes, oh, yeah, well,
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: I ran errands and I saw some friends.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: And, like, what?
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: And she goes, like, are you a sociopath? Like, you
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: just didn't answer me for two days. Then she got
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: caught pocketing money from a hotel that hired her on
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: South Beach to run a comedy night. She was getting, like,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: thousands of dollars. None of the comics got paid.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: And this girl's a stand-up, too.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: Sort of.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Sort of. That was like producing a night of stand-up.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Producing a night of stand-up. At a club or a restaurant. Okay,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: got it.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: And a bunch of the comedians called the hotel, and
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: they were like, we never got paid. And they're like,
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: what are you talking about? We give her like three
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: grand a month. And they were like, are you? First off,
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: she's only giving me $ 100. They were like second. So
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: pocketed all the money. And then we turn on our
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: local news in Miami. There's a guy, old guy. He's
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: at a column forever and it's called Help Me Howard.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: And it's when crazy crap like this happens that's like
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: not quite illegal or it is, but you're not getting
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: an answer and you just need to get to the
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: bottom of it. And this girl is on Help Me Howard.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: She was house sitting for somebody and when they came home,
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: she had stolen a bunch of their jewelry, a bunch
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: of their items, including an urn that had the woman's
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: dead one-month-old's ashes. And she threw the ashes out.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: To keep the urn.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: To keep the urn, because I guess the urn was
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: fancy and worth money. And then brought it to a
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: pawn shop. And luckily, the hero in this story was
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: the man who ran the pawn shop. It was like,
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: this is weird. Like when people walk in with like, oh,
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: a Tiffany necklace, an urn.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: That has like remaining Tiffany. baby ashes in it, like
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: random things. And then, yeah, she got put on the,
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: and the craziest part about it is she's taken no
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: accountability and she's like, I was framed. Literally, the whole situation.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Wait, did she ever get arrested or anything?
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: I think she ended up getting arrested at one point
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: and going to jail for a little bit, but even still,
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: she still to this day will be like, Is she
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: still in Miami? Still in Miami.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: I would think that she would go somewhere else.
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: You would think she'd relocate.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Like be the grifter that goes somewhere else and starts
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: a whole new thing.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: No, she literally was on the local news and all
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: of us were like, we knew it. We knew she
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: was like super sketchy and a fraud. And then like
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: that night she was showing up to open mics with
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: like a white claw in her hand.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: And we were like, next she'll be on Dancing with
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: the Stars.
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: Well, next she'll be framed for catfishing her friends or something.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: But like it's, I just think it's insane. People can
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: live these double lives. I mean, I lived it in
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: my relationship. When I left him, I had to pull
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: a background check on him. And he always said that
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: he moved around a lot because he was a tour manager.
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: And he worked in music. And he would relocate and whatever.
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: Absolutely not. He was literally running from the law for years, Heather.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: And I saw it on his background check. So the
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: world is weird. Everyone's a con artist.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Did you hear about the Risa Tisa thing? Risa Tisa
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: was this woman and she... Did a 50-part, 10-minute series
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: on TikTok about her horrible man that she was either
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: married to.
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Who the fuck did I marry is what it was called.
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: Oh, funny.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: And, you know, he was a liar and he would
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: do all these things. Sure. Anyway, they just started. They're
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: going to make that a movie.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. And I'll be first in line.
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: I will be first in line. I'm ready for the remake.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: I'll audition.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Speaking of documentaries. Mm-hmm. The Fyre Festival. Remember the Fyre Festival?
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: It's back.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: You know the first thought in my head when you
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: said Fyre Festival was not even like the tragedy of
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: the money lost. It was that disgusting sandwich.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Well, he's back. He says it's going to happen in
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: April of 2025. They found an island, but it's much
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: better than what they had before because it actually has
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: hotels and stuff on it.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: They already did a sellout at the $ 4.
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: 99 price.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Yeah. So for the tour, they don't, they don't know
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: who they're doing it, but he goes, I have a
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: real company that's doing it.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: I'm working towards paying back the 25 million restitution. Okay. And, um,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: He's like, people probably want to come because even if
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: it is a disaster, then they just want to see.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Then they want to be in the front lines of
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: the disaster with the TikTok going viral of the cheese sandwiches.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: He goes, we will have cheese sandwiches, but they'll be
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: like really gourmet and delicious. And you can there is
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: even packages as high as one point one million dollars,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: which will include a luxury yacht. and scuba diving, and
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: I don't know how you get up to $ 1. 1 million,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: but maybe you meet, maybe you have a private concert
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: or something with somebody. They don't know who the people are.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: Maybe $ 1. 1 million, that package just guarantees you make it
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: out of Fyre Festival alive. Yeah, yeah. It's like insurance
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: for your own life. But you promise you'll survive.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: You'll get out of here.
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: I will say this. If anybody who goes to Fyre
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: Festival 2, if anything goes wrong in their experience... I
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: don't want to hear about it. You're a glutton for
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: punishment if you go back to this. I cannot imagine
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: that they figured it all out. Something is going to
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: go wrong at this festival. Not to be a pessimist,
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: but I don't know.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: I mean, again, he'll probably be on Dancing with the
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: Stars next year.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: Sure.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Because he looks pretty cute. He thinned out. He looks
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: a lot cuter than he did before. But yeah, all
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: this stuff, it's just like, well... Yeah, I could see
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: why someone would go, let's go, especially if they're big influencers.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: We'll document the whole thing.
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: If it's a total great delight, great.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: And if it's a disaster, then great. Yeah. So I
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: think that's kind of the plan.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: I'm hoping it's a disaster, selfishly. I really am, just
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: for the material. I am, absolutely. And I think it's like,
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: I mean, talk about leaning in to whatever happens. I
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: guess they're leaning into it, they're accepting that it was
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: an absolute disaster, absolute shit show a couple years ago,
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: but it's like how, I don't even, and the funny
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: part is, in my head, if you were gonna make
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: a comeback with a festival like this, wouldn't you want
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: to ease into it a little bit? Wouldn't you want
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: to not be immediately lavish with $ 1. 1 million packages? I
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: would be like, how about you just confirm a lineup?
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: How about you just get hotels locked in? Let's ease
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: back into Fyre Festival.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: I think whenever there's something celebrity-driven, I think there is
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: an element of international people that have so much money
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: from whatever country that they're like, I go. I'll go.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: I'll go for the $ 1. 1 million or whatever.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: I guess that's true. Disposable income.
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: If we get someone, then we'll just charter the yacht
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: and we'll keep 50% or whatever it is.
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that's something to consider. Make sure you're wealthy enough
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: if you're going to go to Fyre Festival. To get
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: yourself out of Fyre Festival.
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: Make sure you have enough money for a contingency plan
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: on your own.
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: I always feel that way about, have you ever been
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: to Burning Man?
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh. I just talked about Burning Man because
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: I'm just fascinated by... Who would ever want to go?
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: I don't know. How much money? Is it expensive to go?
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: I mean, I assume it's pricey enough. It's pricey because I.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Think it's so much effort in what you have to
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: bring and set up and everything.
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: And then there's like different levels of where you can
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: have it more luxury. And people say, no, you don't understand.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: Now it's like you can just show up and you
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: can pay for the camp to be set up and
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: there's taters and all this other stuff.
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: I thought they had like a comedy club, like a
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: pop-up comedy club this year too.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: What? I think it's just about like being on psychedelic
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: drugs and stuff. I don't know what the appeal is.
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: I don't either. It looks like a bunch of really,
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: really rich people spent a lot of money to go
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: learn how to be a good person.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: I know a really, really rich person who went.
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: And I saw all then when she got back and
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: put away all of her Mad Max outfits and stuff.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: It's so big. It's like the size of a whole closet.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: So she had to bring all that stuff.
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: For all the outfits.
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: And then also they had the nice homes and they
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: had the luxury, whatever. But then part of the bartering
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: was that she had to be like a housekeeper.
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: Oh, in order to stay in her luxury home?
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: I love that someone that rich spent that much money
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: to be like, let's see how the other half lives.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I was like, she and her husband, I'm like, I go,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: I just wonder, is either of them ever going to
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: turn to the other and be like.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: Can we not next year?
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: Like, are you really both 100% on the same page
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: year after year after year of doing this? Yeah. But
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: I don't know. I know people that have gone for
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: like 20 years straight. I think that either you go
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: 20 years straight.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Or you just do it once and then that's it.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Yes. I don't think there's anyone that's like, I did
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: it for three and I'm good.
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: No, I think it's a lifetime commitment. I'm never not
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: going to go.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: And because it looked like I did see kind of
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: a lot of older people there now.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: I did too.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: That have probably been going for 25 years. Or you
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: went once and never again.
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: And that's it. I could rationalize going to Fyre Festival
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: a second time before I could rationalize going to Burning
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: Man a second time because at least Fyre Festival I
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: want to see what happens.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: And there's like a beach.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: And there's a beach and I want to be a
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: part of history even if it's lopsided. But like Burning Man,
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: it's just insane to me because I feel like everybody
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: who's gone to Burning Man comes back and they're like, no,
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: you don't understand. It's groundbreaking. Like it's really important to
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: be kind to people. They always like go to Burning
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: Man and come back like, did you know it's really
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: important to be like polite to people and consider. I'm like,
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: you had to go to this random festival and spend
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: a bunch of money to be in a desert stranded
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: to learn that you should maybe look out for other
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: people's interests. That's everybody I know who goes to Burning Man.
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: I'm like, you could have learned that just with your neighbor,
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: but okay. Yeah. I have no desire, but I was
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: the same way with Bonnaroo. What's Bonnaroo? Bonnaroo's the one
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: they do in Nashville that's kind of like, I feel
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: like it's like Burning Man light. Okay. Not really. It's
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: not as, you don't barter, and it's obviously.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: But there's music, though.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: There's music, there's comedy. It's very hippie-like. It's maybe not Nashville,
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: maybe like right outside of Nashville. But even Burning Man alone,
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: I was like, ugh, I'm not gonna, it looks like
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: I'm roughing it. And I don't camp, I glamp. and
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: I don't even glamp, you know what I mean? I
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: was like, oh, my chosen festival would be Lollapalooza in Chicago.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: That one's nice and has its shit together and whatever.
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: But Burning Man feels like Bonnaroo on crack.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Because if I feel like the hotel I'm going to
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: might require me to bring my own hair dryer, that's
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: about camping as I go. I literally threw a.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: Fit at my hotel in Hollywood two days ago because
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: I was like, the lights aren't working!
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: I know, I just started packing my own mirror.
- 1:13:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: And I'm like, why haven't I done this before?
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I won't even go to a dive bar. My
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: friends are like, come on, let's just go grab a drink.
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: And if I walk in and the lights are too
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: low and they don't have dry vermouth for my martini
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: and it smells like plumbing, I'm like, this is abhorrent.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: I need to leave immediately. I need to go to
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: lounges and martini bars. So I'd be on day two
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: of Burning Man and I would be like, just let
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: me die. Just let me, I'd be like, I hate this.
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: So yeah.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: Real quick before we close it up. This was from
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: People Magazine. This has gone viral. This was an obituary
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: that this girl posted for her mother. Florence Flo Harrelson, 65,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: died on February 22nd without family by her side due
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: to burnt bridges, and a wake of destruction left in
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: her path. It's going to be my obituary. Florence did
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: not want an obituary or anyone, including family, to know
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: she died. That's because even in death, she wanted those.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: She terrorized to still be living in fear, looking over
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: their shoulders. So this isn't so much an obituary, but
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: more of a public service announcement. I.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: I love this.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: I love it too. I love this energy.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: Sometimes when someone's horrible and you hear they died and
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: you're like, okay.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: You know what really annoys me? Yes, that and what
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: really annoys me is when people, when celebrities, certain celebrities
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: die and people, I understand having a very strong emotional
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: connection to some celebrities. Obviously for me, when Robin Williams died,
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: very sad. Kobe Bryant was very sad or whatever. But like,
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: I always get, like, it's such a pet peeve when
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: my friends get really upset when certain celebrities die. I'm like,
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: you didn't know them. Like, you don't know if they're shitty.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: You didn't know. Like, don't act like your world is
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: crashing around you. You didn't just lose your brunch partner.
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Like, it's okay. Like, it's
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: the same thing. Like, it's like when the Diddy stuff.
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: I was like, let his career die. He's a billionaire
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: pedophile or whatever. But this reminds me, like, didn't Shannon Doherty,
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: before she passed, she had a list of people she
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: didn't want at her funeral?
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: I loved that. I was like, I don't want people
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: who treated me shitty, cheated on me, lied to me,
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: were not good friends, whatever, talk crap about me. I
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: don't want them showing up when I'm passing into the afterlife.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: So that they can, like, network at my funeral.
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: Absolutely not. Yeah. Like, I'm like, don't come pay your respects.
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: If you couldn't respect me when I was alive, don't
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: respect me when I'm dead in a casket. Like, you
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: know what I mean? Yeah. I love this. Honestly, the
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: energy of her headshot's incredible as well, too.
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: I honestly thought that was Richard Simmons for two seconds,
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: which is terrible of me to say, but that's what
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: I thought for two seconds. Yes. Yeah. I love this.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Girl, tell everybody where they can start following you.
