- 0:49Welcome in everybody.
- 0:50Happy to see you on any talks today.
- 0:53Hope you're doing well.
- 0:54Uh, we have in today, Victoria Thompson with us.
- 0:57Uh, she's a sim racer.
- 0:59Uh, she won screen to speed at the Dark Sim Racing Expo.
- 1:03So welcome Victoria.
- 1:05Hello.
- 1:06Thank you.
- 1:07Thanks for the invitation.
- 1:09Yeah.
- 1:09Thank you so much for taking your time and, uh, I have this,
- 1:13uh, wonderful stream with us.
- 1:15Um, so let's start with, uh, how do you get into sim racing?
- 1:20How you start?
- 1:23Well, um, for me, I would say I started with a set a course of one kind of, I
- 1:28mean, what, what actually is sim racing?
- 1:31When I would say I started more.
- 1:33playing video games on computer than maybe it was Gran Turismo 4, I think, on the
- 1:37PlayStation, a few years ago, actually.
- 1:41But I would say really into simracing, um, AC1, when I at least got a
- 1:46more professional simracing wheel.
- 1:49And I really started simracing basically with ACC like in 2019,
- 1:542020, something around that.
- 1:57Joined a community and Well, from that time on, SCC, at least for me, I know
- 2:02there's differences between SCC iRacing and other simulators, but, um, on SCC
- 2:06I felt like home on the very first day, and for, like, four years ago,
- 2:12my simracing career kind of started.
- 2:17That's great.
- 2:18I remember that I, uh, also kind of started from Assetto
- 2:21Corsa, uh, the first one.
- 2:24Uh, but before that, I also did some, you know, racing
- 2:27games, uh, also racing race 07.
- 2:31That's the old Air Factor 1.
- 2:33So I'll prepare for some racing game, uh, racing, um, events, uh, on this one.
- 2:38Um, you mentioned that you get your first wheel.
- 2:41Can you tell more about it?
- 2:42What was it?
- 2:45Yeah.
- 2:46Um, I think my first more professional wheel basically
- 2:50was a complete Fanatec set.
- 2:51Um, it was the Club Sport wheelbase V2.
- 2:545 with the bigger BMW rim and I think the V2 or V3 pedals.
- 3:00And basically it's never really changed in that last 10 years.
- 3:04I think I got it like 20, 12 to 15, somewhere around there.
- 3:08Mm-Hmm.
- 3:09. And before that, I mean everyone had like that Logitech one.
- 3:13So, um, on AC one I raised with, I think I ruined two G 25 wheels and the G 27.
- 3:21And after the, the G 27, I moved to the Fantech rims and I think
- 3:2820 20, 21, something around there.
- 3:31I moved to the podium set from Fantech and that's basically my set right now.
- 3:35So I'm still with Fanatec.
- 3:39That's great.
- 3:39Uh, how do you feel to switch from, uh, like entry level equipment
- 3:43to the, uh, high end equipment?
- 3:45How was it for you?
- 3:48Um, Um, a lot think with high equipment, more pace or something is coming,
- 3:55I would say even on a G25 or 27 or something, you can be very quick
- 4:00with entry level sim racing gear.
- 4:04Personally, I would say with, um, for example, now a DD2 or the bigger,
- 4:08um, direct drive wheels, I just got more consistency into the races.
- 4:12So I was able to just pull out every lap the same lap times
- 4:17or nearly the same lap times.
- 4:19And with that consistency, I think even more speed was coming.
- 4:23But I wouldn't say that I'm much faster or that I was faster with, um, entry
- 4:28level wheel or that I'm faster right now with, um, higher equipped wheel.
- 4:33Um, So I would say I love my wheel it really gives I love the strength.
- 4:39So right now I'm at 15 12 to 15 newton meters something around there
- 4:45and the races which is physically Kind of hard to to race more than
- 4:49like four hours a few weeks ago.
- 4:52I did Uh four hours race on the nordschleife Um in a row so without
- 4:58the brakes and I would say after four hours with 12 to 15 newton meters
- 5:02It's kind of heavy, but it's also that Typical thing like, um, it's not a
- 5:07real workout, but you you just love to have more than the typical two and
- 5:11a half To five newt meters, but um still it's it's not making me fast.
- 5:16It's just more immersive stuff That's what's the kind of worth for me the
- 5:21price Yeah, that's a really cool thing that you, um, noticed that you didn't,
- 5:27uh, feel that you're, like, a lot faster, you're more consistent with
- 5:30the higher end, uh, equipment, but, uh, definitely, it's really good to start from
- 5:36something, uh, we're talking on Unitalks a lot about this, uh, that everybody
- 5:41should have an opportunity to jump into our, uh, like, to sim racing, yeah?
- 5:45And, uh, with whatever equipment they got, and I think it's a really important thing.
- 5:51Um, what are you doing, uh, with, uh, so what's your routine for the
- 5:57practice when you, um, Uh, preparing for events, for big events in sim racing.
- 6:05Depends on what kind of races.
- 6:07Um, usually depends on the, the race that I'm racing and the duration I'm
- 6:12double to three times the time the race time is, um, I put into practice.
- 6:17So if we're racing a 24 hour race, I'll have, um, somewhere around 48 hours
- 6:22plus on practice before the actual race.
- 6:25And I'm trying to, well, I'm trying to have a setup that's feeling comfortable.
- 6:32I know that sometimes you just can min max the settings or something
- 6:37that you have like some tweaks that makes you extremely fast.
- 6:40But for me personally, it's a lot more important to have a car that just feels
- 6:47comfortable that every lap I know, even if I'm not on the like, mental top state
- 6:52right now in the lap, if you're racing for an hour or two, maybe double stinting,
- 6:57and you're doing a small mistake.
- 7:00Um, I need to set up that, uh, knows that I can excuse that for example,
- 7:05um, that's not completely on the edge.
- 7:07And from that point on, I'm trying to get up my consistency.
- 7:10So I'm trying to have, um, practice evenings.
- 7:13I'm trying to, um, redo all the practice conditions if we
- 7:17know them before, otherwise I'm trying to, um, do some races.
- 7:21And even there, if I know it's an endurance race, I'm more
- 7:24practicing on my own because I'm trying to get just in my routine.
- 7:28Teen in my flow and if I know it's sprint races then i'm trying to do a
- 7:33lot like public lobbies to avoid the the Yeah, the mock ups in the, in the
- 7:38beginning, the, the chaos, um, because in sprint races, if you spin out in T1,
- 7:44then you don't have the time to gain the time again in the, during the race.
- 7:49So, um, it depends on what I'm racing, if I'm doing more like casual lobbies
- 7:53or if I'm practicing for My own, or for example, with teammates, um, to
- 7:58have a little bit, um, dirty air, also multi class racing, also different, um,
- 8:03because then the pace difference in the cars is what we are trying to simulate.
- 8:08So a friend is joining the slower car, depending on the corner.
- 8:13We're trying to practice that, but how it's a, basically it's.
- 8:17Just like having fun.
- 8:18That's the most important thing.
- 8:20And even in the practice times, I'm pretty sure if some of my teammates will see
- 8:25that, um, maybe afterwards, um, they know that I can get emotional while training,
- 8:31but it's like letting all emotions out before the actual race and in the race.
- 8:35I know it's also, I mean, sometimes we have emotions, that's completely normal
- 8:39for racers, but, um, I'm trying to just push me to Every race before the
- 8:46actual race is starting to more than a hundred percent to have like my a
- 8:48hundred percent performance in the race.
- 8:51That's basically kind of the practice I'm doing before and
- 8:55also to get a mental state on.
- 8:57Yeah, that's a good thing.
- 8:58Uh, I also try and to still stay cold blooded when I'm doing races, uh,
- 9:02like official races or big events.
- 9:05Um, of course everybody can be emotional, as you said, I think it's absolutely okay.
- 9:10Um, What do you like the most in endurance races because you mentioned
- 9:15that you're doing endurance races and sprint races as well So would like to
- 9:20know what you prefer in endurance races.
- 9:24What's the best about them?
- 9:25Yeah, well as as you said, I'm personally I prefer endurance
- 9:31races Because, uh, it's not about always being the quickest person.
- 9:35It's about the being the consistent person over a very long time, being one with
- 9:40the car for more than just 30 minutes.
- 9:43And I mean, I also do strength races.
- 9:45They are also a great competition, even a higher competition than endurance races.
- 9:49But, um, I mean, even if it's sim racing and the car is not really
- 9:53breaking down, sometimes you have like technical issues, everything
- 9:56that's bringing sim racing with you.
- 9:58But for me, it's driving hours for hours, the same pace or nearly on
- 10:05being focused for over a long time.
- 10:08That's, um, Something I personally love also with um having the time with friends
- 10:14for example doing the spotting for guys doing the setup work Doing the strategy
- 10:18even the complete thing about strategy in endurance races is something that I
- 10:22completely could Go into detail because I really love doing the strategy and
- 10:28for the rest, it's Just keeping your focus for such a long time on a state
- 10:34where you say it after that, you, you seem like, or you, you feel how you're
- 10:39getting exhausted without getting to know that you're exhausted after a few hours.
- 10:44And for example, I personally loved, uh, the night stints and in real time between
- 10:49two and 5 AM, when the happy time is going to start, like everyone's tired now.
- 10:55Um, usually you're, Sometimes alone on the rig, or we at least try to be two
- 11:01with one backup in the rig or in the race.
- 11:05But, um, you're basically alone driving through the night, everyone's starting
- 11:10to do mistakes because you're getting, you're zooming out because you're doing
- 11:14the same thing like for 14 to 16 hours.
- 11:17But still, I don't know that to keep there the maximum performance,
- 11:21um, to like every time you're tired as fuck, whatever, it's still
- 11:28And that's what is endurance racing for me.
- 11:31Endurance is really special.
- 11:34Uh, and I think the endurance racing, uh, also bring a lot of people into some
- 11:38racing because, uh, many people like they not doing any official races or leagues.
- 11:43They just jumping into special events, like in a set of course, competition
- 11:47in, in iRacing, for example, as well.
- 11:50Um, so what was your highlights?
- 11:54Uh, Endurance event for you.
- 11:56What was the best result, the best race, which you remember?
- 12:03Well, the best race, it wasn't the best race that I remember, but I
- 12:07really remember one race that kept in my mind for still for today.
- 12:11Um, it was, I think two to three years ago, um, when sim racing was just
- 12:17coming up in Corona and all that stuff.
- 12:20Um, I did a race with a few friends with Chris Samir and Jadia and, um,
- 12:26it was my first time with Jadia in a car and we had, um, I think two
- 12:30and a half thousand live viewers.
- 12:31Right now and I was a little bit nervous And the first thing I did was I got
- 12:36out of the box tires were cold and I just smashed the car into um after
- 12:43radio and Into the world in front of two and a half thousand people that
- 12:51for me It was a moment that um, I mean you need to get back in the car And I
- 12:55even had two hours of stints in front of me, but I know I crashed the car.
- 13:00I messed up p1 But A few people were watching, few, and to get up there,
- 13:06the, the, the, like emotional stability.
- 13:10Um, that was something that I remember until today because you
- 13:15still need to get back into the car.
- 13:17You need to be, um, you, we can't just stop.
- 13:20We repaired the car.
- 13:21And after that, I just needed to drive again because it was the only
- 13:25person who was driving right now.
- 13:27And.
- 13:28Knowing that you have a lot of people watching you knowing that
- 13:31you messed up the p1 for the team I think in the end we made p2.
- 13:36Um in a I think it was a 24 hour race in Maybe sim grid.
- 13:42I'm not sure which race it was But the 24 hour race in spa and I mean like
- 13:47two years ago three years ago still a great experience and I would say
- 13:53that race to keep up there the the mentality and still get back in the
- 13:58car to trust the car in every Eau Rouge and Radeon when you're entering that
- 14:03and you know you just smashed it once.
- 14:06Make it simple and as we all know if you lift the car there, shouldn't, shouldn't
- 14:11be the best way and um, if you get scared for something, even if it's sim
- 14:15racing, then um, you're getting slow.
- 14:18and well as I said again the the endurance races that Type of racing the
- 14:25type of mentality that you need there.
- 14:27That's what really brought me forward and which still is in my mind so endurance
- 14:33is like Push you to go because you got a team next to you And you also like even
- 14:41if you crash you really want to finish the race because you learn everything other
- 14:46people plan This race to do it with you.
- 14:50So yeah, I fully understand you in this So speaking about sprint events, and I
- 14:57know that you recently Won the screen to speed at the Dark Sim Racing Expo.
- 15:01Can you tell me more about this event?
- 15:03How was it for you?
- 15:04How did it feel?
- 15:05That was, uh, uh, to be a part of the big sim racing expo and of this event as well.
- 15:11And how was it for you to take a part in sprint event?
- 15:18Absolutely.
- 15:19Um, I mean, um, we were talking about endurance races and now we're
- 15:23switching to the sprint races.
- 15:24I'm completely not common to sprint races, but it was more than just
- 15:28an honor to race into that race.
- 15:31And even to, to win that, I, I never thought about it and still until now, I,
- 15:36if I would tell myself, um, you're going to race it again, I would say I'm pretty
- 15:41sure I won't, uh, win that again, because iRacing is not my, my main simulation.
- 15:46Um, I have like two race, two rank races in iRacing, I have an account, but it
- 15:51never felt like the simulation that I want to race because I have no content.
- 15:55Um, I had.
- 15:57No licenses and stuff.
- 15:59And, um, when I got asked if I want to race there, I was
- 16:02like, okay, I need to practice.
- 16:03I need to download the iRacing.
- 16:04I need to download everything around it.
- 16:06And then I started to practice, as I said, um, for, for the sprint stuff.
- 16:11So I tried to do some, um, open lobby races.
- 16:14I tried some practice runs and getting there is, I don't know.
- 16:19Everything was kind of overwhelming.
- 16:21I, so far, I haven't done any races, um, live on a stage or at least on.
- 16:26somewhere and the complete situation was new.
- 16:30It was, as I said, overwhelming, but, um, it was more than just a great
- 16:36experience because I know that from all the experience that I've made in
- 16:40the last years over the time and in sim racing, um, I could use it because.
- 16:45In the SimRig itself, I, like, I was in my own zone.
- 16:51I could cancel out everything that was around and just focus on, on the car, on,
- 16:57on the girls next to me, even knowing they were actually really sitting next to me
- 17:01and you could look over to them, like, um, what are their feelings right now?
- 17:05How are they feeling?
- 17:06How are they driving?
- 17:07Um, How will the race end, for example, in the next minutes?
- 17:12But, um, still right now going through that race, it's
- 17:20Because I never thought with the, like, circumstances that I had On site race,
- 17:25iRacing completely new to me Formulkas, I've never done a Formulka race I think,
- 17:29even in the first race, it's Maybe some some noticed it when it got into the the
- 17:36grid I realized that i've never practiced a standing start with the formal four
- 17:41with a clutch And we didn't have the clutch pedals on on the steering wheel.
- 17:45So with like the real clutch on the foot and I was just standing there
- 17:50like, uh, okay, how, how to do that?
- 17:55I know what I should do with my double clutches at home.
- 17:57But when, when I came there, it's like, okay, shall we just smash it?
- 18:01Then I had to wheel spin as hell.
- 18:03And I saw that the other girls just coming up because they, I'm pretty sure
- 18:07they then they've done in their practice sessions, at least some race starts.
- 18:11And I took the second race.
- 18:14Or the practice for the second race, also to practice some race starts, but
- 18:18that was like, I've never thought about practicing, um, the start actually
- 18:24from the starting grid or the standing start in a Formula Four, because it's
- 18:28not my, my sim or not my, my cars.
- 18:31And I know there's, um, I think a safety car in, in Irising where
- 18:36you have the rolling starts.
- 18:38If they would have done that, I had no idea what to do.
- 18:41That would be some very, uh, Let's say some interesting stats, but
- 18:45good thing everything worked out.
- 18:47Um, in the end I worked I won by points at the first race.
- 18:53I won the second race.
- 18:54I think I made third Still awesome races.
- 18:56I've never thought that it got so close on on the first three to four people
- 19:02Um because I never saw myself somewhere in the front And I really got It.
- 19:08I'm, I mean, those were really great races.
- 19:11We had very close fights.
- 19:12Um, we had a little context maybe due to, I was not used to the mirrors and
- 19:18the, the completely I racing views.
- 19:21Um, I had my spotter turned off because I, I'm new to I racing, I'm
- 19:27sorry, , but still, it, it worked out.
- 19:30I had fun and right now let's see what, what the future brings and maybe it
- 19:35opens some doors for some other races.
- 19:38Uh, yeah, let's see.
- 19:40Yeah, once again, congrats with P1 in this event, uh, as there
- 19:44was really huge, the biggest event in sim racing, uh, which we got.
- 19:49Um, uh, I know that you're going to get the testing at Nordschleife
- 19:53as your prize and can you tell me, are you excited about this?
- 19:58Maybe you're thinking how it's going to happen and did you have any in
- 20:03real life experience in racing?
- 20:10To be honest, um, I can't wait to race.
- 20:13Race car.
- 20:13I'm not, uh, having any information or most of the information is still pending.
- 20:19Um, so we are in the discussions when it will happen because right now going
- 20:23to the Nordschleife is like, I'm pretty sure it could be a little bit dangerous.
- 20:27Um, even in a normal street car, maybe, I don't know what's, what's going to be
- 20:32there, but, um, I I'm happy about it.
- 20:35I can't wait for it.
- 20:36And, um, for the real racing experience so far, I've raced in an AMG.
- 20:42Um, the Shiroko Cup R and a few Audi R8 V10s with, um, street tires and
- 20:49slicks, but not, um, build up there.
- 20:52It's the, the highest thing I've driven was the NG GT4.
- 20:56Um, so I have some experiences, but as everything was on a private racetrack
- 21:02or airfield, um, I wouldn't say that I'm really experienced in high competition
- 21:08cars or in real car racing, but, um, I'm doing cart racing, um, also did there
- 21:14a real life 24 hour race with the team and experience at least some kind of
- 21:1924 hour endurance races, also did the sprint races, um, and the last company
- 21:24I've worked at, we had a, um, karting competition over the completely year
- 21:30where I, basically also won against 51 other guys and um still was able to to
- 21:37get the crown but we had also like that all kind of um racing rules with 85 kilos
- 21:43as ballast of performance so if you're lighter and a few of us were lighter
- 21:47you're getting ballast into the cart that we are leveled out with that so we really
- 21:51try to have a very high competition and as in sim racing it's outstanding to
- 21:56to be part of Real racing sim racing, it's kind of the same thing, having the
- 22:03racecraft from so many thousands of hours in a CC, it's, I love racing and I can't
- 22:09wait to have the, the opportunity thanks to screen, to speed and, and in it and
- 22:13all the people working here, um, to, to get me into the car and let's see what's,
- 22:18I mean, it's a notch life Who don't want to race on the notch life and a race car?
- 22:22Not sure.
- 22:24So, uh, you, you race Nordschleife, I'm pretty sure in the SED Corsa, yeah, um,
- 22:30is it your favorite track or not really?
- 22:33Because, uh, you know, for me, Nordschleife, uh, that's the track where
- 22:36I can, uh, spend some time because I was working in, um, a sim racing center as a
- 22:41coach and as a manager of the location.
- 22:44And I remember that I was spending, uh, you know, just, uh, To spend some time
- 22:49on Nordschleife because it's really long and you just like can be here for
- 22:5315 minutes 20 or something like this So do you do free laps and then go home?
- 22:58So how is it for you?
- 22:59Do you like this track or do you?
- 23:02Like not really your favorite.
- 23:04So we got other track as your favorite one.
- 23:09Mm hmm.
- 23:09Um, I would say It is one of the favorites, but not the favorite racetrack.
- 23:16Um, as favorite racetrack, don't ask me why I'm personally having Brands Hatch
- 23:21because I love the techniques there.
- 23:23It's like a small Nordschleife, but, uh, as a German, as the most extreme
- 23:30racetrack that you can have somewhere, I would say Nordschleife is the
- 23:34racetrack to, to practice the most.
- 23:36You're learning so much At the Nordschleife and it's also so dangerous
- 23:42that to be honest I'm a little bit frightened to to be there knowing
- 23:46you're racing a race car Um, you know the track from the simulator, you
- 23:51know, if there's something going to happen you basically as everyone says
- 23:57Um, you just hit escape and go back to pits and start again in real life.
- 24:02It's something different but I would say the um You The, the elevation that you can
- 24:09have on the Nordschleife, everything that you have there is like, it's, I would say
- 24:14that the best race track, but personally, I haven't driven there on the real race
- 24:18or on the real Nordschleife in real life.
- 24:21So, well, also not in Brands Hatch, but I don't want to judge
- 24:26which one is the very best.
- 24:28Personally, I love the Nordschleife, but I think, um, for example,
- 24:31Silverstone or Brands Hatch are tracks that I could also race the whole day.
- 24:35Don't ask me why.
- 24:36Yeah.
- 24:38I think that Brands Hatch is one of the best tracks, to be honest.
- 24:41I'm a big fan of, you know, narrow tracks with elevation changes.
- 24:46Like, Road Atlanta, I really like this track.
- 24:49Many people on stream are joking about this, because I just, I
- 24:53really like to race this track.
- 24:54And they're like, oh, you again at Road Atlanta, oh no.
- 24:58Something like this.
- 25:00So yeah, I fully understand you with Brands Hatch, I think it's a, it's
- 25:03a great track to race, especially with GT3s and in a set of course
- 25:07competition, it's really fun track.
- 25:08So that's cool.
- 25:11Absolutely.
- 25:11Absolutely.
- 25:14Yeah.
- 25:14So would you say, um, is, is, um, if you could decide on one racetrack,
- 25:20I'm not sure which um, uh, real life experiences on your side are, but.
- 25:25If the experiences that you've maybe made from, um, real car racing, sim
- 25:29racing, um, the instructor you did on the Nordschleife, um, which car
- 25:34track combination would you say is something that you would live for?
- 25:39If you could wish yourself something, what track and car combination would
- 25:43you like to race and what type of race?
- 25:45Oh, that, that will be, uh, Porsche Cup, uh, and Road Atlanta 100
- 25:50percent because I real life Porsche Cup in a racing, I would love that.
- 25:54Love to try it in real life if I ever going to have a opportunity for that.
- 25:59And road Atlanta for me is like one of the best track on this planet.
- 26:04And I really like it.
- 26:05Uh, speaking about in real life experience, I race, uh, four more cars.
- 26:10Uh, so I'm not really into.
- 26:12GT cars.
- 26:13Um, so yeah, I think that would be a great experience to, to have an
- 26:18opportunity to race maybe Porsche Cup one day, something like this.
- 26:22Um, can you tell me, you, um, mentioned that you race, uh,
- 26:27in real life, uh, some cars.
- 26:28Can you tell me the feelings?
- 26:30How can you compare them to what you, um, feeling in sim racing?
- 26:35Is it really close or not?
- 26:37Because, you know, just many people, uh, that's like.
- 26:39Top question for everybody.
- 26:41I think they asking all the time about this.
- 26:45Yeah, I would say it depends, um, what you're trying to compare.
- 26:49I mean, as we all know, you don't have the G forces in the simulator.
- 26:54You can have like that, uh, actuaries are ultimate.
- 26:56Stuff where you have a five axle thing where you really can feel drops and
- 27:01something like that, but pressing use In into the seat belts when braking a car
- 27:07like the ng gt4 or also the audis Um, it's something that you don't feel in Uh in the
- 27:15simulator But on my first days, when, when I got an instructor next to me, I'm racing
- 27:21in that, um, R8 V10 that was a street car, basically with, um, the crashing
- 27:28frame and slicks, uh, for example, on, on the second one where we had to, uh,
- 27:33rear wheel drive, um, the person next to me, uh, which was a former DTM.
- 27:38Driver asked me after like three laps.
- 27:41I mean, we, we went out to the track and I didn't know the car.
- 27:43I've never driven a car with over 600 horsepower and I got overwhelmed by
- 27:48the speed that you gain in a very short time because it's not the monitor.
- 27:51It's you really getting pressed into the seat.
- 27:54But, um, after getting the, the.
- 27:56to know the car like a few corners, um, everything's pulled in the head,
- 28:01like, like in the simulator kind of.
- 28:04And the instructor sitting next to me was after three laps, like, he just sat there,
- 28:10watched me and was asking, and you're really just doing sim racing, do you?
- 28:14And I was like, yeah, why, uh, what am I doing wrong?
- 28:17And he was like, n nothing.
- 28:20The, the thing is you're breaking the car, you're steering into the corner
- 28:25and then you are holding the steering angle and you're just turning the
- 28:28car by throttle and brake inputs.
- 28:31And that's driving styles that guys are, that people have with cutting
- 28:36experience for 15 years or more.
- 28:38And I'm just doing sim racing, but I have also like.
- 28:42Hours and years of practice, um, recalculated kind of for, for real racing.
- 28:49It's just that you feel everything by the steering wheel.
- 28:52I mean, we are used to steering wheels and I even told the person that i'm not really
- 28:57Interested in what the car is giving me through the seat or what the car really
- 29:02is doing Um behind me or in front of me I feel like everything in the wheel because
- 29:07we are trained to feel everything in the steering wheel And I would say it's for
- 29:13sure you can't compare real racing and sim racing and I would also say it's It's not
- 29:18good to compare those as the same thing or something that you want to compare.
- 29:22I would say it's completely two But it's two different.
- 29:25Um Botch categories, maybe two different things But everything that you learn
- 29:32in sim racing you can somehow compare in real racing or you can use The the
- 29:37race intelligence, you know, the the Um, if you, if the car, for example,
- 29:43is slipping, if you have a slip angle, or if you're close to a spin, you know
- 29:48instinctively what to do with the wheel.
- 29:49So you have something that you've practiced as a routine over years
- 29:54and hours in sim racing, and you can use that in real racing.
- 29:58At least I would say.
- 29:59I mean, if we look in Formula 1, Max Verstappen is also a very good
- 30:03sim racer, and I'm pretty sure that everything that he's practicing in
- 30:07sim racing, he can bring into real racing and the other way around.
- 30:11So, um, the conclusion I would say is, you can't compare both, but
- 30:18everything that you're learning is usable in both situations,
- 30:23if that's kind of answering it.
- 30:25Yeah, I absolutely agree with you.
- 30:27So you got really good, uh, base skills, which you learn in some racing
- 30:31and, uh, you can transfer them to real life racing, uh, without any issues.
- 30:36I think you just need some time to get used to, uh, G forces.
- 30:40Yeah.
- 30:41That you like moving in the real car.
- 30:43Uh, but, uh, yeah, you know, articles, which I read about some racers who first
- 30:48time get into, uh, the racing track, uh, absolutely the same as you said.
- 30:53So just, uh, You know what to do, actually.
- 30:56You get into the car and you already know how it's working,
- 31:00and that's the main thing.
- 31:01So you don't need, like, a lot of time to get used to everything.
- 31:06And it's really cool about sim racing, and really nice that for some people that
- 31:12sim racing can be the starting point, like karting was for me, for example.
- 31:18Um, so it's cool, because it's more open for everybody as well.
- 31:22simracing.
- 31:22com
- 31:25I mean, sim racing is affordable.
- 31:27It's, I would say that the better, or it's the other wave of motorsport.
- 31:32Motorsport is expensive and dangerous.
- 31:35I would say just, but if we put all that on renewable, sustainable topics, On the
- 31:41side, I would say that the main thing in sim racing is, it's not dangerous and
- 31:47it's more affordable for nearly everyone.
- 31:51Even knowing that sim racing is a very expensive sport compared to,
- 31:55I would say, usual sports or usual eSports, where you need the keyboard,
- 31:59a monitor, gaming PC you already have.
- 32:02But in sim racing, I would say you can put in so much money, But still, it's
- 32:09way more affordable than a real car.
- 32:11Because if you crash your real car once, you have a crashed car.
- 32:14Sim racing, it's a little bit cheaper, I would say.
- 32:18Yeah, crashes are free.
- 32:19That's the main thing.
- 32:20Uh, and definitely you can get into sim racing.
- 32:24So entry level is a really low with a budget, of course.
- 32:29And I would like to say that I noticed that races in sim racing, which I'm
- 32:34doing in a racing, I'm usually racing top split and they more competitive
- 32:40than races, which I had in real life.
- 32:42Uh, just because in real life you're really limited, not a lot of people
- 32:46getting into the series and it's not that competitive compared to sim racing
- 32:51and because we're getting a lot of people here is just, you know, can be,
- 32:55uh, for example, Porsche championship, which got in a racing and, uh, everybody
- 33:00like 20, 30 people, they want in one second to everybody that that's crazy.
- 33:09Funny thing, um, that's something I also recognized.
- 33:12Um, two weeks ago.
- 33:13I was at the FIA motorsport games in Valencia and I also saw there, um,
- 33:18the sim races and the real races and personally or my personal opinion on the
- 33:24real races was I mean that's very easily said and I know, um, I don't want to be
- 33:30too provocative, um around them But I would say the sim racers had The more
- 33:36interesting races to watch even if they were looking more Like more perfection.
- 33:42They were racing just car by car and no mistakes in the real races Um for sure
- 33:47you had a few guys that were leaning on each other even in the gt cars It's a
- 33:52different type of racing, but it felt more like a a Kind of a childish racing
- 33:58as the race intelligence was different compared to the sim racing I have no idea
- 34:03how it is in the car And I'm pretty sure I would also drive a lot worse in a real
- 34:09race car than I would do in a simulator but um the the races itself to watch how
- 34:16The guys are racing how they're leaning on others Um, I will personally say some
- 34:20stewards in simracing would even kick you out of track if you are behaving like
- 34:24that, what I've seen on the real races.
- 34:26And I really appreciate every real racer that is doing that.
- 34:29But I also want to say to, to all people watching, kind of give simracing a chance
- 34:36and try to step into that perfection of racing that you're seeing there and
- 34:40appreciate what they are actually doing.
- 34:43It's that that was a very big point for me to see that in valencia.
- 34:47Yeah, it's a really high level right now It's racing as you mentioned.
- 34:51I absolutely agree with you and Just because uh, it's competitive.
- 34:56We got a lot of people.
- 34:57Uh, it's also really high level So no wonder if we would have um Like, the same
- 35:03amount of people racing in real life, we would have the same kind of level
- 35:09and the same competitive races as well.
- 35:12But unfortunately, not everybody got the opportunity to get into real life
- 35:15racing because it's just crazy expensive and it's really hard to get into it.
- 35:20Get sponsors to get it.
- 35:21Uh, like even if you're getting good results, that's not, uh, Not mean that
- 35:27you're going to get sponsors to sponsor you for your career and you'll get
- 35:32forwards into the racing Um, so yeah, it's a kind of sad thing About racing.
- 35:37Uh, but uh, on the other side we got some racing where we
- 35:40can, um, race and, uh, have fun.
- 35:44And also I really enjoyed to watch, uh, broadcast, uh, some racing races.
- 35:50Uh, they're really fun to watch, like everybody, uh, really close
- 35:54with the gaps and doing the same lines, the same breaking points.
- 35:58It's, uh, it's wonderful.
- 35:59I agree with you in this.
- 36:00Yeah, absolutely.
- 36:02And still, I also love the real racing topic.
- 36:06And, um, if I could choose between both, or at least I never hope to
- 36:11choose between both because I would love both categories in sports.
- 36:16But, um, as you said, I mean, real motorsport is in the first
- 36:20point for me, it's dangerous.
- 36:22And it can hurt you a lot if something's going wrong, and I really feel that
- 36:28that kind of fear is for sure in simracing not, not the main topic, but
- 36:33even then, it's more interesting to see that the simracers are so much on
- 36:37the edge and still racing like hell.
- 36:40I mean, they also crashing sometimes, but, um, to see that.
- 36:44That kind of difference in in the skills in in real racing with fear and I really
- 36:50have deeply respect for those who can Kind of get off that kind of fear in the car
- 36:56and really race like a sim racer would do.
- 36:58Um And right now we're again compare, um comparing real racing and sim racing But
- 37:05it's just it's two so so outstanding types of sports that I still love both and I
- 37:11couldn't could talk about ours Yeah, true.
- 37:16I agree with you.
- 37:17So I still remember how I get into the car thing.
- 37:20I was like 10 or 11 years old and I was like, Oh my God, I'm just, I'm
- 37:25so afraid of the speed or something.
- 37:27Uh, it was, uh, yeah.
- 37:29Uh, so you just, uh, trying to, um, make the step forward, you just
- 37:35trying to get through this fear and, uh, then you getting fast lap times.
- 37:39But on the same side, I can tell you that sometimes I got situations in some
- 37:44racing where I'm feeling like, my God, like, you know, I'm just feeling like
- 37:49I'm like, it's happening in real life.
- 37:52It's, it's crazy.
- 37:53So your brain thinks like, We go into crash or someone go into
- 37:57crashes, something like this.
- 37:58So, and you feel, uh, the same fear as in real life.
- 38:01So it's, uh, kind of interesting.
- 38:06Yeah, absolutely.
- 38:07As I said in the beginning, in the first story, like, um, when I crashed the car,
- 38:11um, and the judges dream after that, I really was frightened about that.
- 38:16Corner combination.
- 38:17I really was scared to go flat out through a rouge.
- 38:21And I mean, it's sim racing.
- 38:23If I crash again, who cares?
- 38:25It's not hurting me, but the mental issues or the pressure to know that
- 38:30you have a team behind you that have practiced for it, that you don't
- 38:33want to, um, I don't know, you, you don't want to let them down.
- 38:37You don't want to get the car into repairs for hours.
- 38:40That's something.
- 38:42I would say a completely different level of fear, because there are a
- 38:46lot of people hoping for you, knowing that also in a real race car, there is
- 38:52a complete team setting up the cars, they are flying there, they have spent
- 38:56a lot of money just to get the car there, and you know, crashing into the
- 38:59wall, it's like wasting so much money.
- 39:02But still, the pressure and the fear and I'm sometimes I'm really scared even
- 39:07in sim racing, if you're really getting into it, have a triple screen or even
- 39:12VR players in VR, if you're racing, or if you're crashing into the wall, pretty
- 39:17sure that makes something with you.
- 39:19Yeah.
- 39:22You know, I got triple screen and even it was triple screen sometimes like, I
- 39:26really, you know, just into the race.
- 39:29So I just, uh, Yeah.
- 39:32Kind of, uh, don't, don't feel like I'm sitting in a room or something like this.
- 39:36So I'm really into this racing car and yeah, it can be, uh, really,
- 39:41really scary sometimes, and, uh, I can imagine that people in VR got
- 39:45really, um, you know, good impression, uh, with the crashes, with everything
- 39:50which happening in some racing.
- 39:54Absolutely.
- 39:54I mean, I also got triples and I tried VR a few years ago.
- 40:00I think I had the Oculus, uh, the CB1.
- 40:03Back in the day in the days.
- 40:05That's like really know a few years, but I stayed with triples.
- 40:09Um Because I always have the feeling it it still gives me enough for sure You don't
- 40:14have that distance checking that you have in VR and that you really can feel like
- 40:19being into the car But then you also have like expensive wheels They are flashing
- 40:25and you have all that information that I wouldn't see if I'm racing in VR So
- 40:30I think it's Type of something that you personally like the preferences, but I
- 40:35also would like to stay with with triples and so far I'm not planning to go to VR
- 40:41Maybe also being scared of driving into the wall and getting even more scared.
- 40:46Yeah, also as you mentioned you doing A lot of endurance races, yeah, in my
- 40:51opinion, uh, VR is more for the sprint races, uh, because, um, you know, you're
- 40:56going to sweat and it's not going to be comfortable to race, uh, for, for hours.
- 41:01Um, so personally, I absolutely agree with you, the triple, uh, in that,
- 41:06Circumstances a lot better, um, as you can do long scenes without any issues
- 41:11and, uh, you don't have to worry that your eyes are going to be tired and
- 41:16you will sweat in the VR headset.
- 41:19Um, but the VR give, uh, really good, um, you know, just feelings, emotions.
- 41:24It's really cool.
- 41:25I tried once there was the Oculus Rift, uh, the first version of it.
- 41:29Um, it was really nice.
- 41:31So my dream is one day to try a better VR.
- 41:35headset and iRacing, maybe, because I didn't try VR and iRacing.
- 41:40I'm just really curious about this.
- 41:44Yeah, me too.
- 41:46Can't wait.
- 41:46I tested Apple Vision Pro a few weeks ago and I mean, technology is awesome.
- 41:53I know it's not a VR headset for racing and all topics, but But, um,
- 41:58I would love to see a headset, uh, VR racing that's still just letting
- 42:03out exactly our wheels, our hands, so that we really sit into the car.
- 42:08So it's kind of a mix of an AR.
- 42:11Um, headset that's allowing to see what you need to see, getting everything, um,
- 42:17else that you don't need rid of, but, um, not that complete throughput that
- 42:22you have on, I think the, what is that Rift 3 or something, um, Quest 3, um, I
- 42:28think they, a few of them, of the modern ones have the, the, um, the throughput,
- 42:33but, um, then you see everything around.
- 42:35And I would love to see something that's, like, if you're wearing
- 42:39some special suit or something, that just that is in the simulator.
- 42:43If that's already possible, I'm sorry, I don't know everything, um, but that
- 42:49would be something I really want to test.
- 42:51That would be cool, I think.
- 42:52Yeah, kind of mixed reality I think will be awesome, uh, because as you said
- 42:57the VR, uh, unfortunately cutting the opportunity to see your real, uh, wheel
- 43:01which you got and sometimes you got really expensive like a Fanatec wheel or, um, I
- 43:06don't know, GSI, something like this and you really want to see this buttons and
- 43:11everything, uh, so yeah, and unfortunately VR cut this opportunity from you.
- 43:15Yeah.
- 43:15I mean, you're paying so much for a wheel with the display and
- 43:21then you can't see the display.
- 43:22It's like, I don't know, maybe stay with triples.
- 43:26Oh, yeah.
- 43:27So moving forward, can you tell me, how do you feel to be a female
- 43:31sim racer in male sim racing?
- 43:36So how do you feel about this?
- 43:38Is community friendly to you?
- 43:40Or you had some toxic moments or something like this?
- 43:46Um, basically.
- 43:48I would say I had no toxic moments being a female or being male um
- 43:53in in one big family I would say.
- 43:57It's like being toxic between racers because under the Heimat I would say we
- 44:01all are just racers in Every kind of way.
- 44:06Um, I see that we are quite less women in In sim racing, but um, I think it's also
- 44:14cars and uh car enthusiasts Is not that a female dominated thing but um I love
- 44:21to see if women are around how supportive they are to Each other because there are
- 44:26not much and we are supporting each other.
- 44:29We Show that we are in sim racing and for sure it's a male dominated world But
- 44:35in the end everything everyone before the computer I would say I don't see
- 44:41If we wouldn't have our cameras on, um, I wouldn't see if I'm racing against a
- 44:45male racing against a female, I'm just racing against a person and that's what
- 44:50I also love in sim racing because there is not that, um, I would say physical
- 44:55differences like in real racing that, um, maybe some are stronger, some are
- 44:59weaker, but But, um, I would say I, I love the, the female empowerment kind
- 45:05of, if you see another girl on the street, even for example, I'm racing or
- 45:09I'm driving a motorbike in real life.
- 45:11If you see another girl, um, biker, you're just waving, you're happy, you
- 45:16just enjoy the moment that you've seen someone like you on a motorbike or
- 45:21in sim racing on the karting track.
- 45:24But what I also see is.
- 45:26If you are an, um, in the minority on the race track, um, you also see that, uh,
- 45:31the competition between the persons that are racing there, or that are in that
- 45:36competition is also a little bit higher or more tense because there are not much.
- 45:41So you're competing also in a, um, smaller group of people.
- 45:46And then you have a kind of different competition.
- 45:49I would say, even if we have like the big competition, the big race.
- 45:52Um, but so far I would say, um, um,
- 45:57Pressures everywhere, um, you have moments of panic.
- 46:01toxic relations in every kind of sport, in every kind of gender,
- 46:06in every kind of car and team.
- 46:09So I would say that's, that's motorsport.
- 46:12Everything is kind of emotional.
- 46:15Yeah, that's true.
- 46:16I agree with you.
- 46:17Also had some, uh, Toxic stuff in, uh, in the racing races sometimes and, uh,
- 46:23but most of the stuff which happened with me in SimRacing, uh, especially
- 46:28I'm talking about the racing because most of the time in this, uh, in this
- 46:32simulator, um, People really supportive.
- 46:36They really try to help you with some advices.
- 46:40Uh, they're really really nice and it's it's really cool because um, We can have
- 46:47the same thing like in other esports.
- 46:50Yeah Uh, so other esports can be a bit more toxic compared to some racing So
- 46:55we've been talking about other communities in the set of course competition and
- 47:00other simulators also And Everybody like trying to uh, guide you through
- 47:06your journey and to show you How to do some racing and help you and you
- 47:12can find team really fast if you want to do endurances You can find like a
- 47:17supporter for almost if you're doing them.
- 47:20It's it's nice.
- 47:21Yeah,
- 47:23absolutely I would say sim racing or at least gaming um is And very
- 47:29open world, you can find a home.
- 47:32Um, the thing that is important for me, I would say is being an open person.
- 47:37It doesn't really depend on what kind of gender you have for sure.
- 47:41It's important to show which kind of.
- 47:44People and characters we have in racing.
- 47:46And I'm very glad that we have so many different types and persons
- 47:50and personalities in racing and, or in gaming and racing.
- 47:56And, um, I think it's also important to stand out.
- 47:59Who we have, but for me, most of the thing is about the character that a person is
- 48:04bringing into the team, into the sport.
- 48:07And I would say support that kind of character.
- 48:11And I would say that's, that's the most important thing to appreciate
- 48:15the characters and support them.
- 48:18Um, what do you think, how can we bring more girls into some
- 48:22racing into racing as well?
- 48:23Um, so what's your, your opinion about this?
- 48:29I would say the girls that want to race in racing, um, we need to see where we
- 48:34can approach them and get them trained up kind of, I mean, as I said in the
- 48:40beginning, under the helmet or in front of the monitors, we all are racers.
- 48:46And I would love to see if we found a lot of more of these girls, if we can support
- 48:51them, if we are not just pushing them into the market, if we push them into
- 48:55the market, Um, with, with the support that they really can compete with others.
- 49:01And I would say bringing everyone on, on a very good level.
- 49:05That's something that we really can do.
- 49:07And what we are all trying here to, to support the females or to
- 49:13support the women in, in, in racing.
- 49:15And, um, I think even if it's a male dominated world, um, we have interested
- 49:21girls and we just need to be there to show them that simracing is one of the
- 49:26things that you can do if you want.
- 49:29And if you want, what do you need?
- 49:31I mean, is it the mentality that you need?
- 49:33Is it the pace?
- 49:34Is it consistency?
- 49:35Is it bringing you in, in racing games, um, overall?
- 49:39Is it, um, about the setup?
- 49:42I mean, in the end, a race is a race, and we just need to get them, like,
- 49:47on pace, and see to, uh, if we can get them competitive with others.
- 49:53Yeah, I think, uh, what do you need doing, uh, for Female, uh, for girls in
- 49:59simracing, it's, it's really cool, uh, because more girls you're going to see,
- 50:03like, uh, you just I would love to race in SimRacing then, uh, by the end of
- 50:08the day, because you can see all these girls, they're racing, you're like,
- 50:12Oh, I want to be like her, yeah, jump into SimRace and, and race, uh, with,
- 50:17uh, whatever person, like, if it's, uh, guys or girls, it doesn't matter.
- 50:23Uh, so I, I would, I I was in the same way as you with my
- 50:29opinion about in real life racing.
- 50:31So when someone asked me about like, how do you feel to be a girl?
- 50:36I'm like, I'm just a person behind the helmet.
- 50:38I'm just a driver and everybody doing the same stuff here.
- 50:42So when we equal because In my opinion, I think that, uh, yeah, physical, uh,
- 50:49thing is not really, uh, important, especially if we're talking about sim
- 50:52racing, because you can set up the force feedback in the way you like.
- 50:55And, um, it's, it's great.
- 50:58So I think we got a lot of opportunities now, and I hope
- 51:00we're going to see more girls and more, uh, boys also in sim racing.
- 51:06Absolutely.
- 51:07I mean, sim racing for me is.
- 51:10Really personal talking a sim racing is like everything I really love sim racing
- 51:15It's it's my passion and I'm trying to get my business related topics to sim racing
- 51:19my private topics to sim racing or at least racing and overall The automotive
- 51:24industry and stuff, but I'm getting Overall speaking, more people into racing,
- 51:32I would love to see if whoever is watching this and sees I want to simrace too now,
- 51:37or maybe I am already simracing, and maybe I can learn something from the mentalities
- 51:43from the stories or anything else, I would love to just bring that to more people.
- 51:47That's, that's my goal.
- 51:48What really is driving me.
- 51:52Um, so speaking about the future and plans, uh, what plans do you have
- 51:58in the future in the sim racing?
- 52:00Maybe you're thinking to make some kind of content, uh, which can bring more
- 52:04people, uh, into some racing as well.
- 52:07And, uh, share your opinion with other, uh, people.
- 52:10Um, so what's your plan?
- 52:12And I know that you're going to take a part in global e sport games.
- 52:16Uh, can you tell me more about this?
- 52:20Yeah, um about the content thing Uh, I thought a lot of
- 52:28well, I have thought about it.
- 52:30Um several times but uh so far i've never got the point or i've never
- 52:36got so far to say I really want to be content creator or Bring that points in.
- 52:41Um but You're right.
- 52:44I mean in the end to bring People more into simracing and
- 52:49tell those kind of stories.
- 52:50I should do some kind of content But so far, I don't know why it's maybe the
- 52:55online world or getting the the criticism of everyone Maybe the the opening to
- 53:01the world to be a content creator.
- 53:04Maybe that's something that i've never accomplished so far Um, or got into it.
- 53:10Maybe.
- 53:10Um, I need a support here, but, um, maybe it's going to start
- 53:15with the global esports games.
- 53:17Um, because in there, um, I will be representing Germany for the
- 53:22female team together with a friend of mine, um, for the male category.
- 53:26So there are two.
- 53:28From Germany going to the global esports games, um, which actually should have
- 53:32been hold now in December 24, which has shifted to early 25, as far as I know.
- 53:38But, um, I will be representing sim racing there.
- 53:41And it's, I don't know what to say.
- 53:44I mean, it's more than just an honor to race there.
- 53:47I even love to see, um, that they made categories for the drivers
- 53:52or at least, uh, the teams.
- 53:54So far, unfortunately, no information how the race there will be held.
- 53:59If it's a combined race, if we have two classes, for example, or if they are
- 54:02separate, um, I just know that we are sending two representatives and as far
- 54:07as I know, e sports, and I think one of the parts is also motorsport also from
- 54:13the IOC got a Olympic, so there will be most likely also Olympic e sport games.
- 54:19And if I.
- 54:21Can have a chance If I might have the chance, I hope I can also be there and
- 54:27see what's going to be there So that will be my goals, um to see what we all
- 54:33together can reach in sim racing Maybe just as persona maybe with with different
- 54:37categories, maybe in different cars, maybe in different simulators We'll see
- 54:41what's going to happen And I think that the future right now is Well, working.
- 54:47And next work, a little bit of simracing, practicing for a 24 hour
- 54:52race on the Nordschleife in a full motion simulator, um, the global
- 54:56esports games, and for sure in my real life experience, the race on the
- 55:02Nordschleife, or the test day, somehow.
- 55:05So you've got great plans.
- 55:06About content creation, I can tell you that Simracing community is so friendly.
- 55:12So they go on to support you.
- 55:13Of course you can get some toxic people from time to time if you're streaming.
- 55:17Um, but you know, we can't live without these people, unfortunately.
- 55:22But most of the time I notice that community is just amazing.
- 55:27So if you will have opportunity, if you will have like, uh, the wish to make
- 55:32some content and I know maybe stream us at a course competition and one day,
- 55:36I think you just have to jump into it.
- 55:40Well, I will have a thought about it again.
- 55:43Um, well, let's see if I see myself on camera, I'm pretty sure I will cringe out.
- 55:48So I'm not sure if I'm going to do that.
- 55:50Uh, no worries.
- 55:51You know, um, To be honest, I was really shy when I first time started streaming,
- 55:56I was like, you know, really confused, uh, really close, and also my English
- 56:02wasn't that fluent as, uh, right now, so yeah, I think it's okay when you're
- 56:06starting something new, it's absolutely okay to feel shy, to feel unconfident
- 56:10a little bit, uh, but then, Just like in simracing, you, um, like gaining
- 56:16time, yeah, and getting better in some corners, uh, you doing the same thing,
- 56:21uh, with the rest of, in your life.
- 56:26Isn't it great to see that like, every, um, tip or any hint that we,
- 56:31we are talking about is related to simracing, completely transferred
- 56:36to other real life problem.
- 56:38So kind of do simracing, learn something for life, and.
- 56:43Even if it's your passion, you will find something that brings you forward.
- 56:47Even if it's coming from simracing or from real life,
- 56:51somehow both can go hand in hand.
- 56:53And I love the experience, uh, the examples that you made up,
- 56:57um, with being shy or being on the racetrack, the mentality that
- 57:00you need to set up for streaming.
- 57:03Maybe I should think about it again.
- 57:05Yeah, it's, uh, you know, really close to, I think I learned a lot of Uh,
- 57:10things in simracing, in streaming also.
- 57:12Uh, met a lot of cool people, uh, nice people who really dedicate
- 57:17about simracing, about racing and It's really cool to be a part of
- 57:21this and, um, it's really nice.
- 57:24Uh, so before we end up, uh, the stream, I would like to Give you the last question.
- 57:31Um, what will be your advice for people who starting in sim racing?
- 57:36So what, what can you give from your experience?
- 57:45Pretty simple.
- 57:46The thing is, if you, if you want to start in sim racing, um, I think the
- 57:52worst thing that you can do is think about what do I need for sim racing?
- 57:57As we talked about the start in sim racing or the entry level in
- 58:02sim racing is, Kind of pretty low.
- 58:04You can start with a keyboard, with a mouse, um, you can then join to, um,
- 58:08switch to, to a gamepad, you can buy a sim rig, you can buy a racing wheel,
- 58:13you can get a direct drive wheel, there is no limit to above, kind of, but if
- 58:19you want to start in sim racing, the first thing that you have to do is
- 58:22like on a real car, you need to start up the car before you can drive a car.
- 58:26So just get started.
- 58:29That's, I would say that the main advice that I can give for those who want to
- 58:32be part of the simracing community.
- 58:35That's great.
- 58:36So thank you so much for taking your time.
- 58:38Was awesome.
- 58:39Uh, I had a lot of fun to speaking with you.
- 58:42Uh, everybody, thank you so much for watching.
- 58:45Uh, next CineTalks will be, um, next Thursday.
- 58:49So we'll see you.
- 58:50Thank you so much for watching and bye.
- 58:54Bye.
