- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hands to Hester and Hester.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Yep, got it. Five out of five.
- 0:07Speaker 3: From carrying each other to a natty to carrying each
- 0:11Speaker 3: other on the air.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Flynn is back to throw for the end zone throw.
- 0:16Speaker 4: Live from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 0:19Speaker 1: It's Off the Bench.
- 0:20Speaker 5: I can't stand it.
- 0:50Speaker 1: All right, welcome back in.
- 0:52Speaker 6: OTB here live from the Raising Cane Studio. Always want
- 0:55Speaker 6: to remind you about our friends over at RejuveMe. RejuveMeMedical.com,
- 0:58Speaker 6: 13 locations across the great state of Louisiana, one in
- 1:02Speaker 6: Mississippi as well. No matter where you're listening to us
- 1:05Speaker 6: in Louisiana, we are talking to you. Go get those
- 1:07Speaker 6: labs drawn. Go get that work looked at. Because once
- 1:11Speaker 6: they get a plan, right, they get the labs and
- 1:13Speaker 6: take a look at it, then it's okay. What can
- 1:16Speaker 6: we do for you? Because they take a look at
- 1:18Speaker 6: the numbers and they know exactly what to do. Like
- 1:21Speaker 6: my plan is going to be different than Matt's. Matt's
- 1:22Speaker 6: is going to be different than Alondra's, right? We've all
- 1:24Speaker 6: three gone through the process and we're on different plans
- 1:27Speaker 6: and that's what it is.
- 1:28Speaker 1: It is your plan for your success. So go see
- 1:31Speaker 1: them today.
- 1:31Speaker 6: RejuveMeMedical.com RejuveMeMedical.com All right. As we mentioned, Pete Thamel was
- 1:38Speaker 6: on Get Up a little bit earlier in the day
- 1:41Speaker 6: and here's what I think Pete Thamel had to say
- 1:44Speaker 6: about the current situation, LSU versus the SEC.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Taylor, I'm going to fight you.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Nope. Oh, my goodness.
- 2:02Speaker 4: You're confusing me.
- 2:03Speaker 5: I don't know what the problem is.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Taylor, I'm a little confused at this right now.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Is this a bit?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Is Ashton about to jump out?
- 2:12Speaker 7: It's like having 12 men in the huddle after timeout.
- 2:15Speaker 1: It's a great analogy.
- 2:19Speaker 4: He's edging us.
- 2:23Speaker 5: It happens.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Is Sankey putting you up to this?
- 2:26Speaker 5: Oh my gosh.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Wait, do I go? I'm going to make this as
- 2:35Speaker 1: awkward as possible.
- 2:36Speaker 4: I'm so confused. Am I supposed to hit play or not?
- 2:39Speaker 5: Was it not just playing? No.
- 2:41Speaker 4: I don't know. You didn't tell me if it was
- 2:42Speaker 4: playing or not.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. It was not playing.
- 2:46Speaker 4: This is not good.
- 2:47Speaker 1: All right, go, Laundrie.
- 3:02Speaker 2: So now the possibility is at very least on the table,
- 3:05Speaker 2: and it's bananas, quite frankly, Greeny, that that possibility isn't
- 3:08Speaker 2: on the table. But it's right there in the federal
- 3:10Speaker 2: court filing yesterday. SEC presidents and chancellors will meet to
- 3:14Speaker 2: discuss and potentially vote on expelling LSU from the conference.
- 3:18Speaker 5: All right.
- 3:23Speaker 1: That wasn't the clip I was talking about.
- 3:28Speaker 5: He was playing it in my headphone, and I didn't
- 3:30Speaker 5: tell her that I had it.
- 3:31Speaker 1: It's fine.
- 3:31Speaker 5: I thought y'all heard it, too. That's my bad.
- 3:33Speaker 1: No, no. I don't care about that.
- 3:34Speaker 5: I was very confused as I thought it was playing. Sorry.
- 3:37Speaker 6: There was a clip later on in that clip. He
- 3:40Speaker 6: basically says that he doesn't think it's going to happen.
- 3:43Speaker 5: Well, it's not. So.
- 3:48Speaker 7: Well, it is not going to. Like I said, I
- 3:50Speaker 7: hope they get one vote against from Oxford.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It was playing for.
- 4:03Speaker 4: YouTube, not for us.
- 4:05Speaker 5: Oh, wow. Okay. Well, it's my bad. I told her
- 4:07Speaker 5: it was muted, and then I unmuted it, but I
- 4:09Speaker 5: never let her know because I was like, I thought
- 4:11Speaker 5: it was playing the whole time. My bad.
- 4:12Speaker 4: I don't know to play it if nobody tells me
- 4:14Speaker 4: to play it.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I wonder if it went over radio.
- 4:16Speaker 4: No, it didn't because I didn't have the pod on.
- 4:17Speaker 1: No, it was on YouTube. Because I didn't know to
- 4:19Speaker 1: have it on. Hey, Matt C.
- 4:21Speaker 5: In the chat. Miscommunication.
- 4:22Speaker 1: You're right.
- 4:22Speaker 5: Bad radio. Bad radio. It's on us. Hey, Chess Pat.
- 4:26Speaker 5: That's on us.
- 4:27Speaker 1: This calls for a break and reset. We did that already.
- 4:30Speaker 5: Yeah, we already did that. We tried.
- 4:34Speaker 1: All good.
- 4:36Speaker 4: At least we're real.
- 4:38Speaker 5: Yes.
- 4:39Speaker 6: It's like you put out a tweet there, and it
- 4:42Speaker 6: sits there, and you're like, oh, man, not what I
- 4:44Speaker 6: wanted to say.
- 4:45Speaker 1: You can't delete it.
- 4:46Speaker 6: You just got to leave it up there. You got
- 4:49Speaker 6: to let it breathe. Like for me, okay, I'll give
- 4:52Speaker 6: you an example. During the Ole Miss game, there was
- 4:55Speaker 6: a point when the offenses weren't playing well. And there
- 5:00Speaker 6: was a point Bra made a decision either to punt
- 5:04Speaker 6: it or kick a field or something. And I was like, okay,
- 5:07Speaker 6: that decision tells me that he thinks he's got a
- 5:09Speaker 6: good hold of Ole Miss' offense and he doesn't think
- 5:11Speaker 6: that they can, you know, continue the momentum that they had.
- 5:14Speaker 6: Something like that. Literally, I put send and they threw
- 5:19Speaker 6: a bomb the next play and scored.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And I was like, he was wrong. You don't delete it.
- 5:25Speaker 1: You'd just be like, well.
- 5:27Speaker 7: That was a bad move by me.
- 5:28Speaker 1: That was bad timing by your boy here. Is what
- 5:31Speaker 1: it is.
- 5:35Speaker 7: All that to say, do you understand how excited I
- 5:39Speaker 7: am that we got NFL starting tonight? Yes. I love
- 5:46Speaker 7: all football. I can't wait. I get to go watch
- 5:48Speaker 7: the fifth and sixth grade. Dunham Tigers go to Live
- 5:51Speaker 7: Oak this afternoon. I can't wait for that game because
- 5:53Speaker 7: I love football. I love college football because I love
- 5:56Speaker 7: my LSU Tigers more than most things. But I love
- 6:03Speaker 7: NFL football just from a viewership standpoint. Maybe not from
- 6:06Speaker 7: the pageantry standpoint. Maybe not from the love of a
- 6:09Speaker 7: team standpoint. But they all know me. I like to
- 6:12Speaker 7: watch the X's and O's. I like to watch the
- 6:15Speaker 7: best schemes, the best execution, I like to watch just
- 6:20Speaker 7: football in its purest and best form. And that is
- 6:25Speaker 7: NFL football. And I know it drives you crazy when
- 6:29Speaker 7: I say NFL football. That's NFL football, baby. It is
- 6:32Speaker 7: the best, and I cannot wait. And it starts tonight,
- 6:35Speaker 7: and it's like they do it every year, the rematch
- 6:38Speaker 7: of the Super Bowl in Seattle. It's going to be
- 6:41Speaker 7: a great crowd. So I get to watch a little
- 6:43Speaker 7: fifth and sixth grade. Then I get to go watch
- 6:45Speaker 7: a little NFL tonight. And I am fired up about it.
- 6:48Speaker 7: Then we got a game tomorrow from Australia for whatever reason.
- 6:53Speaker 7: Hope they're making tons of money in that new viewership
- 6:55Speaker 7: over there in Australia. But they're doing that. But I'm
- 7:00Speaker 7: just fired up for it. I can't wait. I'm excited
- 7:02Speaker 7: for the next 17, what is it, 18 weeks of
- 7:06Speaker 7: regular season NFL.
- 7:08Speaker 5: Then the playoffs. It's over, folks.
- 7:10Speaker 7: The drought is over. I know it ended last week
- 7:13Speaker 7: because LSU played last week. But the whole thing. We
- 7:15Speaker 7: got the whole slate. The whole weekend. So lock in
- 7:18Speaker 7: on Saturdays. Lock in on Sundays. But tonight we get
- 7:21Speaker 7: to lock in on a Wednesday night and a Thursday night.
- 7:24Speaker 1: And a full slate on Sunday.
- 7:26Speaker 5: It's going to be great.
- 7:29Speaker 8: Go watch it somewhere? Are you going to watch it
- 7:32Speaker 8: at home? I know you like to watch at home.
- 7:34Speaker 5: It's hard for me to go watch.
- 7:35Speaker 1: For tonight, it being J-Bones' birthday. Oh, true. J-Bones loves
- 7:40Speaker 1: the NFL more than anything. He's an NFL guy.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Yes.
- 7:44Speaker 6: So for his birthday, we got some family in town,
- 7:47Speaker 6: Katie's mom and dad. He's going to have his girlfriend over.
- 7:50Speaker 6: So we're all going to watch the game. And he
- 7:52Speaker 6: wanted hibachi. But we're getting it to go because he's like,
- 7:55Speaker 6: I'm not missing the NFL.
- 7:57Speaker 4: That sounds like the perfect night.
- 8:00Speaker 3: NFL.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Wait, Jackson's about to have the best birthday ever.
- 8:03Speaker 8: That's kind of an elite move.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 8:07Speaker 3: 17.
- 8:07Speaker 7: So when I was growing up, I used to, like,
- 8:10Speaker 7: that was my birthday thing. Like, I want to go hibachi.
- 8:14Speaker 5: That's my thing.
- 8:15Speaker 7: We'd go to Shogun right there in Tyler, Texas.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Shogun is so good.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 8:20Speaker 4: I went last time I went home.
- 8:24Speaker 5: It was legit. And that was where I went. So, like,
- 8:26Speaker 5: credit to him.
- 8:27Speaker 7: But I'm like, it's hard for me with a, you know,
- 8:30Speaker 7: now an 11-year-old, 8-year-old, and a 6-year-old to just, like,
- 8:33Speaker 7: go somewhere and watch a game, you know?
- 8:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:35Speaker 7: We're locked in.
- 8:36Speaker 5: Got to be couch-sitting.
- 8:37Speaker 7: It's got to be couch-sitting because there's homework being done.
- 8:40Speaker 7: There's all sorts of things happening. We're just getting home
- 8:43Speaker 7: from a game.
- 8:44Speaker 1: And then Thursday for the Niners-Rams, U-High is going to
- 8:50Speaker 1: be playing Madison Prep on Thursday. So, I'm going to
- 8:53Speaker 1: be watching high school.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Don't we rumble to Madison Prep back-to-back?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Two black men.
- 8:59Speaker 5: Who hates you high this year?
- 9:00Speaker 3: Geez.
- 9:01Speaker 1: They like to schedule some good ones. I got Turlington's Catholic, too.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Turlington's?
- 9:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:09Speaker 5: It's like the murder's row of the Yankees.
- 9:12Speaker 7: Every time you say Madison Prep.
- 9:14Speaker 5: You think of Major Payne?
- 9:15Speaker 7: I think of Major Payne.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Yacht, too. Tiger. Leading the. Madison Laboratory School. What a
- 9:22Speaker 5: great movie. Well, we have half. Where is the Virginia
- 9:28Speaker 5: Military Trophy?
- 9:29Speaker 1: Wellington Academy.
- 9:35Speaker 5: So they got both of their birthdays here tonight?
- 9:39Speaker 1: All day. I don't know if this is true from
- 9:44Speaker 1: our guy Champ Champs. Good to see you back in here,
- 9:46Speaker 1: by the way. He said, my 17th birthday, I got
- 9:49Speaker 1: a bocce to go and watch the 2003 Natty game
- 9:52Speaker 1: with my family and my girlfriend, my son's first child
- 9:55Speaker 1: was conceived that night. Be cautious, my friend.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Hell yeah. Go ahead, champ.
- 10:00Speaker 8: But everything that he writes in here, I have to
- 10:02Speaker 8: ask myself, is this real or is he, like, joking?
- 10:07Speaker 4: Because he writes some wild stuff.
- 10:09Speaker 1: He does.
- 10:09Speaker 4: He's on, like, his fourth wife.
- 10:11Speaker 1: He said that's 100% true, by the way.
- 10:13Speaker 5: I see you. All right, champ.
- 10:15Speaker 4: He's, like, on his fourth wife.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Did you name your kid Jake or Matt?
- 10:19Speaker 1: 03 wouldn't have been me. It would have been Matt.
- 10:22Speaker 1: It would have been Matt Mauch.
- 10:23Speaker 5: Matt would have been there.
- 10:24Speaker 1: It would have been Matt or Justin.
- 10:27Speaker 5: Justin.
- 10:27Speaker 1: JV had a big game.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Vincent would have been a good one. Clayton.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Spears. Spears?
- 10:33Speaker 4: For a first name?
- 10:34Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. Marcus wouldn't have really said it for Marcus Spears.
- 10:38Speaker 5: I don't know. Swagu? Swagu? This is my son, Swagu.
- 10:46Speaker 5: I believe Champ, actually. I believe him.
- 10:49Speaker 7: I mean, hibachi is an aphrodisiac.
- 10:56Speaker 5: That's like, I would know every year for my birthday.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Everybody's talking about it. Sensitive Sankey.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Sensitive Sankey. That's what they're calling him.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Who are we taking tonight?
- 11:15Speaker 7: Seattle.
- 11:16Speaker 5: I don't know what the point is, but all of them.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Two and a half.
- 11:18Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm taking him.
- 11:21Speaker 5: A.J. Brown in one league, Drake May in our league.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So I'm going Patriots.
- 11:28Speaker 6: Don't base your pick and your thought process off fantasy football.
- 11:31Speaker 5: I don't like either team.
- 11:32Speaker 6: I know, but I'm saying I'm wanting analysis of who
- 11:35Speaker 6: you actually think is going to win.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Not who you want to win because you're fantasy.
- 11:39Speaker 5: I'll go Patriots still. I want to see what the
- 11:41Speaker 5: Seattle run game looks like. I think Price is good,
- 11:44Speaker 5: but again, rookie first game. It is tough to play
- 11:47Speaker 5: on the road, Seattle week one. Wednesday night, though, what's
- 11:51Speaker 5: that going to look like? I'll take the Patriots.
- 11:53Speaker 7: So the atmosphere is going to be great. I'm assuming
- 11:55Speaker 7: they're dropping a banner. I'm assuming they're raising the 12th
- 11:58Speaker 7: man flag. It's going to be.
- 11:59Speaker 1: You know that place.
- 12:00Speaker 5: That place is loud.
- 12:01Speaker 7: It's incredible. People think it's overrated from, like, the loudness, but, like,
- 12:06Speaker 7: the way that stadium is designed, it has, like, this
- 12:09Speaker 7: metal awning that, like, reverberates the noise right back down.
- 12:13Speaker 7: And then, you know, they, they're strategic about pumping the crowd.
- 12:16Speaker 7: Noise is everybody is okay. I'm not calling you out.
- 12:18Speaker 7: No one's calling anybody out. They're just good at it.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Right.
- 12:21Speaker 7: Um, that place is going to be rowdy. And like, look,
- 12:24Speaker 7: what has that, which team has everybody been talking about
- 12:28Speaker 7: this off season?
- 12:29Speaker 5: The Rams, the Rams. Who did the Seahawks beat in
- 12:32Speaker 5: the NFC championship?
- 12:33Speaker 1: The Rams, the Rams.
- 12:34Speaker 7: And they're the Superbowl champ. Nobody's talking to rightfully. So
- 12:37Speaker 7: everybody's talking about the Ram, but if you're looking for
- 12:40Speaker 7: that motivation, as a head coach to motivate your team,
- 12:44Speaker 7: they got to be a little bit ticked off. There's
- 12:47Speaker 7: got to be a little chip on the shoulder. They're
- 12:49Speaker 7: like looking around. They're holding the trophy in their hands.
- 12:51Speaker 7: They're looking up at the TV. They're looking down at
- 12:53Speaker 7: the trophy that they're holding currently. They're like, what am
- 12:55Speaker 7: I missing here? Where's the disconnect? Why aren't they talking
- 12:58Speaker 7: about us? Well, that's a position that you want to
- 13:00Speaker 7: be in right there. You want to be the forgotten person.
- 13:02Speaker 7: You want to be the big guy on the block,
- 13:06Speaker 7: but everybody forgets about. And they are certainly that. Defending champs.
- 13:10Speaker 7: They lost a couple of pieces, but they are still
- 13:12Speaker 7: pretty damn good. They got a crazy-ass head coach.
- 13:16Speaker 5: I think they're ready to roll.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I pick the Seahawks to win the division still on
- 13:22Speaker 1: moving the chains.
- 13:23Speaker 6: Yeah, I think the Rams make the playoffs. I think
- 13:25Speaker 6: the Rams make it all the way to the Super Bowl.
- 13:27Speaker 6: But I do think the Seahawks are going to win
- 13:29Speaker 6: that division. To be the man, you got to beat
- 13:31Speaker 6: the man. You know who said that? Ric Flair.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Woo! Thank you. I went Seahawks, Saints, Eagles, Bears in
- 13:38Speaker 1: the NFC to win the division.
- 13:40Speaker 5: Love it.
- 13:41Speaker 7: Okay, say it again.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Hold on.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Seahawks, Saints, Eagles, Bears.
- 13:47Speaker 7: Oh, we're going to do our NFL hot take.
- 13:50Speaker 1: And then the AFC, I went Chargers, Texans, Bills, Bengals.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Y'all see that video of him at the Cubs game?
- 13:58Speaker 5: Yeah, mustache.
- 13:59Speaker 4: Complete aura.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 4: He was aura farming.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Regular fingernails.
- 14:05Speaker 4: No nail polish.
- 14:07Speaker 5: Mustache. I think he's ready.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Was chanting PCA.
- 14:11Speaker 7: I think he's ready.
- 14:12Speaker 8: Ben Johnson said, no, actually it was Dennis Allen, said
- 14:16Speaker 8: that Caleb looks really good in camp. Like took a
- 14:22Speaker 8: step forward, if you could imagine that.
- 14:25Speaker 4: So, well, I guess there was some stuff he could
- 14:26Speaker 4: work on, but he's got arm talent.
- 14:29Speaker 7: Arm talent.
- 14:31Speaker 5: Crazy arm talent, dude. I mean, just the most.
- 14:35Speaker 7: I mean, if there is one stat to look up,
- 14:38Speaker 7: NFL quarterbacks.
- 14:40Speaker 8: I think I'm flirting in an emotional affair with the Bears.
- 14:45Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:46Speaker 7: They're going to be good. I think everybody in that
- 14:48Speaker 7: division is going to be good. I think the Vikings
- 14:50Speaker 7: are going to be.
- 14:51Speaker 5: Good as well.
- 14:52Speaker 4: I really like Ben Johnson.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Matt, I kind of think your team is going to
- 14:55Speaker 5: finish last in that division now.
- 14:58Speaker 7: So there's a lot of, like I was listening to
- 14:59Speaker 7: get up on the way in. There's a lot of
- 15:01Speaker 7: national people picking them. To go to the Super Bowl,
- 15:04Speaker 7: to win the division, for Jordan Love to win MVP.
- 15:08Speaker 7: Jordan Love's only good during truck month. I'm just telling
- 15:11Speaker 7: you what other people are saying.
- 15:13Speaker 5: I got to see it. I'm going to be cheering
- 15:15Speaker 5: for them.
- 15:16Speaker 7: I'll be down in New Orleans in December when the
- 15:19Speaker 7: Green Bay Packers are there, and I will have a
- 15:22Speaker 7: Green Bay shirt on or a hat on.
- 15:24Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 15:25Speaker 8: I will.
- 15:27Speaker 5: It is weird to think about because you just feel
- 15:29Speaker 5: like the Packers are always good, but I mean, dude,
- 15:32Speaker 5: when I look at what the team's lost and what
- 15:34Speaker 5: they've added in that division, Packers have lost the most.
- 15:38Speaker 5: And Josh Jacobs doesn't help things.
- 15:40Speaker 7: Christian Watson is your number one.
- 15:42Speaker 5: Which, good when he's on the field.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Marshawn Lloyd's your number one back.
- 15:46Speaker 8: I know.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It's been a lot.
- 15:48Speaker 4: What did you just say that Jake said that's awesome?
- 15:50Speaker 6: He's going to be in New Orleans in a Packers
- 15:54Speaker 6: game and get to share that with his family.
- 15:56Speaker 7: Yeah, they're so fired up. We're going to be part
- 15:58Speaker 7: of a little pep rally.
- 15:59Speaker 5: On Saturday for the Packers fans. That's awesome. It's going
- 16:02Speaker 5: to be great. I can't.
- 16:03Speaker 7: We're looking forward to it.
- 16:04Speaker 6: That's awesome. We did that for a preseason game where
- 16:08Speaker 6: the Chargers came. It was so much fun. Jackson got
- 16:11Speaker 6: to meet LT on the sideline.
- 16:14Speaker 5: Huck was like, can I.
- 16:16Speaker 7: Wear a Packers jersey but a Saints hat or something?
- 16:19Speaker 5: I'm like, yeah. You can. You can wear whatever you want, man. Yeah,
- 16:23Speaker 5: you can wear it. It's American.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Hugg is so adorable.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I mean, my son wore a Clyde Edwards E-Lair Chiefs
- 16:29Speaker 1: jersey to the Chiefs Chargers, and he was on the
- 16:33Speaker 1: Jimbo Tron, and they made him cover it up. Thank God.
- 16:37Speaker 1: They have this little siren that they do, and they
- 16:40Speaker 1: were like, hey, does your family want to do it?
- 16:41Speaker 5: I was like, yeah.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Like, he can't wear that. I was like, yeah, noted.
- 16:45Speaker 1: Take that off, bud. But Huddy's always going to ride
- 16:49Speaker 1: for Clyde. But you got to take that jersey off.
- 16:52Speaker 1: You're on the jumbotron here at SoFi.
- 16:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:55Speaker 7: Anyway, I'm a little giddy right now because I get
- 16:57Speaker 7: to watch the best in the world play football tonight.
- 16:59Speaker 3: I'm excited.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Should we put together a little daily fantasy lineup?
- 17:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I think we should do it. Share it with the people.
- 17:06Speaker 7: And if anybody has any bold predictions for the NFL season,
- 17:08Speaker 7: maybe we give those as well.
- 17:10Speaker 1: All right. We'll do that when we come back here
- 17:11Speaker 1: on OTB. Off the bench.
- 17:15Speaker 7: Butt up.
- 17:16Speaker 6: Butt up.
- 17:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Butt up.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Butt up.
- 17:22Speaker 5: Yeah, excuse me.
- 17:23Speaker 8: Welcome back to Off the Bench.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Wednesday's show is brought to you by Poncho. But now
- 17:44Speaker 3: I got a problem with that little white rock. See,
- 17:46Speaker 3: I can't put down the pipe. And it is breaking
- 17:51Speaker 3: me down. Watching the world go round while my dreams
- 17:57Speaker 3: fall down. Is anybody out there?
- 18:01Speaker 6: All right, welcome back to OTB. Jake Flynn and Alondra
- 18:07Speaker 6: Tay-Tay all here with you. We eventually got here after
- 18:12Speaker 6: the traffic. Which is still out there, by the way.
- 18:16Speaker 6: Stay safe out there.
- 18:18Speaker 5: Today's going to be a day. Have yourself a day, banners.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Got traffic in the capital city.
- 18:23Speaker 5: Just different.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Oh.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Let's have a day.
- 18:25Speaker 6: What OTB-ism do I throw into the broadcast this weekend?
- 18:28Speaker 4: It's got to be amalgamation.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Okay.
- 18:31Speaker 4: Amalgamation or.
- 18:32Speaker 1: I threw capital city in last week.
- 18:34Speaker 5: Me thinks.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Me thinks.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Me thinks makes me sound stupid.
- 18:37Speaker 8: It does.
- 18:38Speaker 4: What was the word that you kept saying?
- 18:40Speaker 3: What?
- 18:41Speaker 5: If you say it with confidence. Proclivity.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Methinks the Bulldogs didn't show up to play.
- 18:45Speaker 5: Methinks the Bulldogs. You got to say it like that.
- 18:48Speaker 4: And then you got to call.
- 18:52Speaker 8: You got to say methinks and then you got to
- 18:53Speaker 8: call CB my lord. Like you'd be like, my lord, methinks.
- 18:58Speaker 7: Yeah, you got to say it like with like a
- 18:59Speaker 7: real uppity royal way.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Chris has a good sense of humor.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:03Speaker 1: But I think he would be like, what in the
- 19:05Speaker 1: hell are you talking about, Heston?
- 19:06Speaker 5: Yeah, buddy.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I'll throw an amalgamation in there. Give me like one
- 19:13Speaker 1: more real one.
- 19:14Speaker 4: Proclivity.
- 19:16Speaker 1: That is your word.
- 19:17Speaker 8: Can you throw a howl in there some way?
- 19:20Speaker 1: I'll throw a howl in there.
- 19:22Speaker 5: It works for, you could use it for Bulldog.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Yeah, you could say, LSU got them dogs howling.
- 19:29Speaker 5: What if I howl?
- 19:35Speaker 1: I think I can do it.
- 19:38Speaker 6: I think it has to be something the defense did
- 19:41Speaker 6: out there like a bunch of wild dogs.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:44Speaker 1: We'll see. Yeah. We'll see if we can get it done.
- 19:47Speaker 7: Chris won't. He won't follow you. He won't water follow you.
- 19:50Speaker 4: No, he won't.
- 19:53Speaker 5: I'm scared.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Drop your OTB-isms in the chat.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I mean, me things.
- 19:56Speaker 5: I'm going to try. Me things.
- 19:57Speaker 7: And by, like, OTB-isms, you're just saying, like, things that
- 20:01Speaker 7: I mispronounce, basically.
- 20:03Speaker 5: All the words of Matt doesn't know. All the words
- 20:07Speaker 5: of Matt, you know.
- 20:07Speaker 4: Can we throw a go-see-um in there?
- 20:10Speaker 5: Things today.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I'm going to throw me things in there. I'm going to,
- 20:16Speaker 1: I don't know how this year, but I'm going to
- 20:19Speaker 1: know by years. No, hell no. This game. Let's do it.
- 20:22Speaker 5: Let's be a good game.
- 20:23Speaker 1: As Billy Napier said, scared money don't like money.
- 20:27Speaker 7: You won't do it on your opening comments of the
- 20:29Speaker 7: LSU Ole Miss game. You won't save me.
- 20:30Speaker 5: Thanks. Thanks.
- 20:31Speaker 4: It's hot out there.
- 20:34Speaker 6: She means save me. Thanks for Ole Miss for your
- 20:37Speaker 6: opening statement. My opening statement is the Starting lineups.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Methinks, Spoot, Meatball.
- 20:43Speaker 5: Methinks, these are the guys that are starting.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Methinks, Spoot, Meatball.
- 20:52Speaker 5: Got it.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Can we do like an F Murphy, Sam and Jody
- 20:55Speaker 4: in there?
- 20:56Speaker 5: Probably not.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Probably tough.
- 21:06Speaker 5: Lane Kiffin's halftime speech. That's how we feel.
- 21:08Speaker 1: If you can somehow work in a Jimbo. Impression. That
- 21:11Speaker 1: would be cool.
- 21:11Speaker 5: Oh, that'd be good. Mm-hmm.
- 21:14Speaker 3: God.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Jumarcus.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Jumarcus, get out.
- 21:20Speaker 5: Flynn, get in. Flynn, get out.
- 21:23Speaker 4: Jumarcus, back in.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Oh, God. Explain Sluggo. That'd be a good one. Oh, yeah.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Got to. You got to tell the listeners.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Sluggo.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 21:35Speaker 1: It's when.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Wait.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Okay. This.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Pluck.
- 21:40Speaker 5: That's what you got.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Not a plug-in.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Oh, I think you ran a plug-in.
- 21:44Speaker 4: This is not a plug-in reference.
- 21:46Speaker 1: What do you mean? It's a post and go. Post
- 21:48Speaker 1: and go, Chris.
- 21:49Speaker 5: What are you talking about, dude? Yeah, geez, dude.
- 21:51Speaker 4: I forgot about plug-ins.
- 21:54Speaker 8: Okay, so I've told y'all about how at the Golden
- 21:56Speaker 8: Nugget in Lake Charles, they have a cuck tub in there. Like,
- 22:00Speaker 8: there's a tub, there's a curtain, and it's right by
- 22:02Speaker 8: the bed.
- 22:03Speaker 5: Perfect.
- 22:04Speaker 8: So I took a video, and I posted it on TikTok,
- 22:06Speaker 8: and I was like, what kind of freaky-ass... y'all doing
- 22:08Speaker 8: in here and somebody commented on my tiktok and they're
- 22:12Speaker 8: like that's where you explain what a sluggo is and
- 22:17Speaker 8: i was like this is an otb listener up on
- 22:19Speaker 8: my tiktok.
- 22:20Speaker 5: Explain what a sluggo is oh that's great shout out
- 22:26Speaker 5: like charles you and your interesting tubs apparently.
- 22:30Speaker 7: This is one thing that i cannot support what because
- 22:33Speaker 7: i don't want it to catch on if people think
- 22:35Speaker 7: it's real even though Jake could be real sarcastic with it.
- 22:38Speaker 5: Say star as many times as you can.
- 22:40Speaker 4: I mean, he probably does.
- 22:42Speaker 5: Or he says star.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'll do it in the starting lineup because on the
- 22:44Speaker 1: depth chart, it's star and rover.
- 22:46Speaker 7: And rover. We haven't even.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Oh, we haven't.
- 22:51Speaker 4: We haven't talked about rover?
- 22:52Speaker 3: No.
- 22:53Speaker 5: And rover coach, obviously.
- 22:57Speaker 1: Nope, we're not doing that today.
- 23:00Speaker 4: We're not doing this, guys.
- 23:01Speaker 1: We are not.
- 23:02Speaker 7: I got too much respect for Blake Baker does anything.
- 23:06Speaker 5: On the football field.
- 23:07Speaker 1: NFL MVP, give me your sure bet and give me
- 23:10Speaker 1: your long shot.
- 23:11Speaker 5: I'm not prepared for this. I was thinking about plug-os
- 23:15Speaker 5: and slug-os.
- 23:16Speaker 4: I don't care.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I know who's ready because he's always ready. Tay-Tay, NFL
- 23:22Speaker 1: MVP and then the long shot.
- 23:23Speaker 5: So I gave you Jared Goff the other day as
- 23:26Speaker 5: far as a guy that could win MVP. And his
- 23:29Speaker 5: odds aren't super long, so long shot for MVP is.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I mean, dude, his odds are way down there.
- 23:36Speaker 5: Are they? Okay, well, then maybe he'll be my long shot.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Let me see. You'd be surprised how far down the
- 23:42Speaker 1: list Jared Goff is, actually.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Justin Herbert.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I thought about Herbie. He's got, like, the third-best odds.
- 23:49Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll go Justin Herbert. Herbie's got a shot at
- 23:52Speaker 7: going off.
- 23:53Speaker 1: He does.
- 23:54Speaker 5: I think that he's going to be really good in
- 23:55Speaker 5: that offense. I think Ladd's going to be awesome in
- 23:58Speaker 5: that offense.
- 23:58Speaker 7: And you've got to think that they can't have horrible luck.
- 24:03Speaker 7: that many times in a row.
- 24:04Speaker 5: He would hope not two years in a row. Yeah,
- 24:06Speaker 5: I think he's going.
- 24:07Speaker 1: To go off. He's got the fifth best odds. So
- 24:10Speaker 1: it's Allen, Burrow, Lamar, Drake May, Herbert, Stafford, Mahomes, Caleb Williams,
- 24:18Speaker 1: Dak Prescott, Brock Purdy.
- 24:20Speaker 7: Caleb Williams is going to be my pick.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Jerry Goff, his odds are behind Jordan Love, Brock Purdy,
- 24:25Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence, Jalen Hurts.
- 24:28Speaker 7: Brock Purdy's not a bad pick. to take because the
- 24:32Speaker 7: only reason I would hesitate on him is because of
- 24:34Speaker 7: the division. Now you got to remember in that offense,
- 24:36Speaker 7: how Shanahan is so good. Mack Jones played for like
- 24:39Speaker 7: five weeks straight and they were like, is he the MVP?
- 24:43Speaker 5: Right. Well, he has Mack Jones playing at.
- 24:44Speaker 7: An MVP level at this point of the season through five,
- 24:47Speaker 7: like Mack Jones guys. That's how good Shanahan is. And
- 24:51Speaker 7: Brock Purdy is even better at operating that offense. So
- 24:54Speaker 7: like if they are good, that means Brock Purdy's got
- 24:57Speaker 7: really good stats. And he's playing really well. So he's
- 24:59Speaker 7: not like a bad sleeper pick to take. I think
- 25:02Speaker 7: he's the best football player in the NFL.
- 25:04Speaker 3: No.
- 25:05Speaker 7: But I think with him, that coach, that system, I
- 25:10Speaker 7: think he's always going to be up there as far
- 25:12Speaker 7: as the top performers.
- 25:13Speaker 5: People forget how good he was his last fully healthy season.
- 25:17Speaker 5: Brock Purdy put up numbers in that offense.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I'm going to go. I want to go Herbert, but
- 25:22Speaker 1: that'd be obvious. And then you went Herbert.
- 25:26Speaker 6: I'm going to go MVP is going to be Joey
- 25:29Speaker 6: B for my sure thing, and then my long shot
- 25:32Speaker 6: is going to be Jared Goff.
- 25:33Speaker 5: Yep.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I think Joe's about to have a monster year.
- 25:38Speaker 5: Again, that division I think is more winnable for them
- 25:41Speaker 5: than it has.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Been in a long time. I picked the Bengals to
- 25:43Speaker 1: win it.
- 25:44Speaker 4: I'm going to go Caleb, long shot, Tyler Shuck.
- 25:48Speaker 7: It's funny no one's even mentioned the name Stafford, the
- 25:50Speaker 7: defending champion.
- 25:51Speaker 4: How many people go back-to-back?
- 25:54Speaker 5: Not a lot. That's what keeps me from saying him.
- 25:58Speaker 5: I took out anybody that had already won. I just
- 26:00Speaker 5: wanted to go somewhere different. Like him, Lamar, Josh Allen, out.
- 26:04Speaker 7: I will go Caleb Williams is my sure thing.
- 26:07Speaker 5: Sam Darnold is my long shot. I like Sam Darnold.
- 26:11Speaker 1: That's probably a plus 2,500 too with golf. That's a
- 26:14Speaker 1: good one.
- 26:15Speaker 4: One of my bold predictions is Tyler Shug's a pro bowler.
- 26:19Speaker 5: He only needs seven touchdowns and ten interceptions to make
- 26:23Speaker 5: that happen.
- 26:23Speaker 7: Oh, that's right, because they don't have a game. It's
- 26:25Speaker 7: a top three. Yeah, it's a top three situation. It's
- 26:29Speaker 7: like being all pro now.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Yeah, right. A little bit, yeah. Like third team all
- 26:32Speaker 1: pro would be. Let's see.
- 26:33Speaker 7: He's got to beat a lot of people out in
- 26:35Speaker 7: the NFC.
- 26:35Speaker 4: I mean, he's got to beat out Shador.
- 26:39Speaker 5: Seven touchdowns, ten picks will do it.
- 26:41Speaker 1: So, let's see.
- 26:41Speaker 7: You've got to be better than who the top guys
- 26:44Speaker 7: in the NFC. I mean, you just mentioned Stafford. Love Stafford,
- 26:49Speaker 7: Sam Darnold.
- 26:50Speaker 3: Purdy.
- 26:50Speaker 5: You know, Dak's going to have a lot of stats.
- 26:55Speaker 5: He is. Dak's going to have a lot of stats.
- 26:57Speaker 7: Jalen Hurts. People love to love Jalen Hurts.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Why?
- 27:01Speaker 5: Because he's top five, but not five.
- 27:05Speaker 4: He got some strong-ass legs. I'll give him that.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Just kidding.
- 27:07Speaker 7: That's not me saying that. I don't think he's top five. Oh,
- 27:11Speaker 7: I need to do a top ten list.
- 27:12Speaker 5: We need to do this Canty.
- 27:13Speaker 7: We didn't do a lot of things.
- 27:14Speaker 5: Canty thinks he's top four.
- 27:16Speaker 7: After this week, we'll start with... My top ten list
- 27:19Speaker 7: as well after this week.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Offensive rookie of the year, Price, running back from the Seahawks.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Defensive rookie of the year, Reuben Bain from the Bucs.
- 27:27Speaker 7: I'd say that's going to be the pick.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Comeback player of the year is going to be Joe Alt.
- 27:35Speaker 5: Not Joey B.
- 27:37Speaker 1: He won it so many times.
- 27:38Speaker 4: So many times. He's in contention for it like.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Every single year. It's going to be renamed. The Joe Burrow.
- 27:44Speaker 4: The Joe Burrow.
- 27:45Speaker 5: It's his award.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Plus, I'm picking for MVP.
- 27:49Speaker 7: I think comeback player of the year, Kyler Murray.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Oh, I like that.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Is he even eligible? I don't know.
- 27:55Speaker 5: I mean, what makes you eligible?
- 27:56Speaker 1: Yeah, he got hurt. Yeah. Is it only hurt or
- 27:59Speaker 1: is it just like he stunk for a little while?
- 28:01Speaker 1: I think it's more like you missed some time. Daniel Jones,
- 28:05Speaker 1: comeback player of the year.
- 28:06Speaker 5: I think Kyler Jones would be a good one. I
- 28:10Speaker 5: guess we wouldn't count guys like Kittle and Mahomes. I mean,
- 28:14Speaker 5: that was the very end of the year.
- 28:15Speaker 8: Right.
- 28:16Speaker 5: But It's not going to be Tua. Media loves him,
- 28:19Speaker 5: but those guys should put up numbers. So, I mean,
- 28:22Speaker 5: I don't know if they qualify, though.
- 28:25Speaker 7: Let's also not forget, I know people like to cheer
- 28:27Speaker 7: against him right now around here, but Jaden Daniels. Like,
- 28:30Speaker 7: let's not forget that he's really good at tackle football.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:33Speaker 7: And I get it. His support in staff's not great.
- 28:35Speaker 7: They had Stephon Jay. That could be a comeback player
- 28:37Speaker 7: of the year. That could be a comeback player of
- 28:38Speaker 7: the year. Arguably the greatest rookie season.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:43Speaker 7: Ever played in the NFL by a quarterback. Jayden Daniels,
- 28:47Speaker 7: two seasons ago, suffered three or four injuries last season.
- 28:50Speaker 4: I mean, his whole elbow was like.
- 28:53Speaker 7: There's nobody all in the media talking about Jayden Daniels.
- 28:58Speaker 7: And I get it. It's laughable, the whole five things.
- 29:00Speaker 7: I don't care. He's really good at tackle football, so
- 29:04Speaker 7: he's also going to be eligible.
- 29:05Speaker 5: This happened in the playoffs. It was a notable injury.
- 29:08Speaker 5: Does Bo Nix count? No.
- 29:10Speaker 1: No, it's too late.
- 29:12Speaker 5: Because I think he's going to be awesome this year.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Probably so. I mean, Sean Payton's Sean Payton. I'm not
- 29:20Speaker 1: going to hate on Jaden Daniels. I know he got
- 29:22Speaker 1: booted the game. I think that's messed up.
- 29:25Speaker 6: That guy did too much for LSU, and I still
- 29:28Speaker 6: think it's his team that did all the five stuff.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I talked to him that day.
- 29:32Speaker 6: I interviewed him that day before it all broke, and
- 29:36Speaker 6: we were talking about LSU on the side. We were
- 29:38Speaker 6: talking about Baton Rouge, and we were talking about different things.
- 29:41Speaker 6: He was focused on practicing against the Dolphins. I don't
- 29:45Speaker 6: think he was worried about somebody wearing number five and
- 29:48Speaker 6: then come from him. I'm not going to boo Jaden
- 29:50Speaker 6: Daniels when he shows up on the board. The guy
- 29:53Speaker 6: won a Heisman freaking trophy here. He's a great kid.
- 29:56Speaker 6: Every conversation I've ever had with him, he's been great
- 29:59Speaker 6: with his time, even during the Heisman Trophy ceremony. Like,
- 30:04Speaker 6: he walked off the stage, and I was like, hey,
- 30:08Speaker 6: can I get like five minutes for a serious exam?
- 30:11Speaker 6: He's like, yeah, and sat down with me. You're not
- 30:13Speaker 6: going to catch me hating, just not. And you can
- 30:16Speaker 6: do what you want. You're an adult if you're listening
- 30:18Speaker 6: to this show. I get that.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Do it. Sure.
- 30:20Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 30:21Speaker 7: I'm not doing it. I'm rooting like hell for Jaden Daniels.
- 30:23Speaker 7: He got some bad advice. He had some people around
- 30:25Speaker 7: him that made a miscalculation, made a wrong move. And
- 30:29Speaker 7: I feel for that, but I'm not ever going to, like,
- 30:32Speaker 7: just think about the cape that he put on when
- 30:36Speaker 7: he was here, his last year at LSU. That superhero
- 30:39Speaker 7: cape that he put on and made LSU, who was
- 30:43Speaker 7: not very good.
- 30:45Speaker 3: No.
- 30:46Speaker 7: That team was not very good.
- 30:47Speaker 1: No.
- 30:49Speaker 5: One of the worst defenses to ever play, to ever
- 30:51Speaker 5: play the sport.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:53Speaker 7: Offensively, you saw what it was when he left. And
- 30:57Speaker 7: what he did was beyond incredible. So to hate on
- 31:02Speaker 7: him really bothers me, and I get it. It is
- 31:04Speaker 7: embarrassing what he did, miscalculation, whatever. He should probably come
- 31:08Speaker 7: out and try to address it. Let's get over it, people.
- 31:11Speaker 7: We keep talking about LSU. Where's the adult in the room?
- 31:15Speaker 7: Let's all be adults about this. It wasn't him. You
- 31:19Speaker 7: got it. He didn't file it. It was his team
- 31:21Speaker 7: around him. They made a miscalculation. He got some bad advice.
- 31:24Speaker 7: So move on.
- 31:25Speaker 5: Move on with it. DJ's wearing the number. Like, who cares?
- 31:29Speaker 7: Like, let's just cheer him on. And let's not boo
- 31:31Speaker 7: him in the stadium. That's dumb.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I agree. I didn't like that. Had a bad feeling
- 31:36Speaker 1: about it. Didn't sit right. And just no point. I mean, yeah,
- 31:39Speaker 1: we can, you know, when it happened and everybody made it.
- 31:42Speaker 5: The jokes were funny.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I'm not even going to lie to you. The game
- 31:44Speaker 1: day signs.
- 31:44Speaker 5: Like, they're funny.
- 31:45Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I'm not going to lie to you.
- 31:46Speaker 4: But to boo him?
- 31:47Speaker 1: But to boo him? Come on, man.
- 31:49Speaker 4: In the stadium?
- 31:50Speaker 1: In the stadium.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Come on.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Because, like, that's the most rushing yards you had. since
- 31:55Speaker 1: jayden daniels did what he did to florida in 2023

- 34:35Speaker 1: Probably.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Did he labor?
- 34:37Speaker 1: Golly, man. Marla.
- 34:39Speaker 5: Two Mondays in a row.
- 34:40Speaker 4: Is laboring from home... considered labor.
- 34:43Speaker 5: I'll give our guy credit. He went to Kiffin on Monday.
- 34:48Speaker 1: He didn't come here.
- 34:48Speaker 5: No, he didn't come here.
- 34:51Speaker 1: It's been like four in a row that he just
- 34:52Speaker 1: hadn't shown up.
- 34:53Speaker 8: Okay, so I told y'all that last week he was like.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Well, you didn't say anything, so I wasn't going to
- 34:58Speaker 4: invite myself.
- 34:59Speaker 8: And I said, why do I need to invite you
- 35:00Speaker 8: to something that's supposed to be weekly?
- 35:02Speaker 1: Did we invite Doc today?
- 35:03Speaker 3: No.
- 35:04Speaker 1: He just knows it's Wednesday.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Did we invite Nick Underhill yesterday? No. No, he just
- 35:08Speaker 1: knows it's Tuesday.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Right.
- 35:09Speaker 4: Chef on Thursday?
- 35:12Speaker 1: He just knows.
- 35:13Speaker 5: We just call him.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Yeah, we don't even let him know.
- 35:15Speaker 8: And then he texted me this past Monday and said
- 35:19Speaker 8: that Allie was going somewhere at 8.30 so he couldn't
- 35:22Speaker 8: make it in or something.
- 35:23Speaker 4: And he was like, what about Tuesday? And I just
- 35:25Speaker 4: didn't even, I didn't even respond to that.
- 35:27Speaker 1: It's not Marler Tuesday.
- 35:28Speaker 4: No, it's Marler Monday.
- 35:28Speaker 6: What is Allie going somewhere at 8.30? I mean, they
- 35:32Speaker 6: don't have children yet.
- 35:33Speaker 4: Don't.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Like, he's not watching the, some of the savings.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Don't ask me.
- 35:37Speaker 7: Wipe the dogs.
- 35:37Speaker 4: Let's see if he's listening. He might have just already
- 35:39Speaker 4: texted me.
- 35:40Speaker 5: Nope, not yet.
- 35:40Speaker 7: He, Got to walk the dogs.
- 35:44Speaker 4: One dog, Pepper.
- 35:48Speaker 5: Shut up.
- 35:50Speaker 4: He was listening earlier because he said clip it, and
- 35:51Speaker 4: I said clip what? Hibachis and aphrodisiac.
- 35:54Speaker 5: There you go. Absolutely. You know it. He gets it.
- 36:03Speaker 4: So are we canceling Marlar Monday?
- 36:05Speaker 1: It sounds like he's trying to cancel it. I think
- 36:08Speaker 1: he canceled it himself.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Is he here?
- 36:11Speaker 4: I think he's here.
- 36:12Speaker 1: We begging.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Should we tell him to come down here?
- 36:15Speaker 1: No.
- 36:17Speaker 4: No, we got to get an answer for his sins.
- 36:19Speaker 1: That's true. On air.
- 36:21Speaker 5: Come to the studio.
- 36:25Speaker 1: How'd the film go yesterday, bud?
- 36:27Speaker 7: The film was fantastic, man. I really enjoyed watching some film. Now,
- 36:31Speaker 7: I got to pat the chest a little bit. Got
- 36:34Speaker 7: to probably know a little bit more how to be
- 36:36Speaker 7: prepared for it. It's a preseason episode. Yeah, preseason episode.
- 36:41Speaker 7: We got a new little film watching episode.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Coming out today.
- 36:46Speaker 5: Coming out today?
- 36:47Speaker 1: Eye in the Sky.
- 36:48Speaker 4: Eye in the Sky. You can subscribe to the page
- 36:50Speaker 4: right now.
- 36:50Speaker 1: That's right.
- 36:51Speaker 7: We named the show so far in advance.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Yeah, like three weeks ago we came up with that.
- 36:56Speaker 5: Years ago. As we're rolling the cameras, we're like, what
- 37:00Speaker 5: should we call it?
- 37:01Speaker 1: You're like, unnamed film.
- 37:02Speaker 5: Unnamed filming.
- 37:03Speaker 6: Yeah, I was like, but if we do that, it's
- 37:04Speaker 6: going to stay that. And you're like, no, no, no.
- 37:06Speaker 6: We'll name it later. Nope, that's not how you do that.
- 37:09Speaker 6: And so we came up with it. I think Alondra
- 37:11Speaker 6: actually did.
- 37:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Alondra came up with Eye in the Sky. We say
- 37:16Speaker 1: it all the time. So Eye in the Sky is
- 37:19Speaker 1: our film review. We're going to do every week. We
- 37:20Speaker 1: do it over at the garage. So shout out to
- 37:23Speaker 1: the garage. What a great setup it is there.
- 37:25Speaker 6: And I'm basically A.J. Hawk in this situation. I just
- 37:29Speaker 6: kind of stand there and just.
- 37:30Speaker 4: To the film.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Tee up, Matt. Yeah. Flynn, to the film.
- 37:33Speaker 4: All right, we got Marla in here.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Wow.
- 37:35Speaker 4: You need to come answer for your sins.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Yeah, you need to come answer. Hey, buddy. Are you like,
- 37:40Speaker 1: do we need to ask you every Monday? Are we
- 37:41Speaker 1: canceling Marla Monday? Are we canceling that?
- 37:43Speaker 6: I'm not trying to be mean, but when you tap
- 37:45Speaker 6: something Marla Monday, you're like, well, you didn't say that
- 37:50Speaker 6: you wanted me to come in.
- 37:51Speaker 1: No, it's not Monday. Yeah, I didn't think so. Just
- 37:53Speaker 1: making sure. It's a good, comfortable position for me.
- 37:55Speaker 6: Yeah, so apparently you didn't come in Monday because Allie
- 37:58Speaker 6: had to leave at 830.
- 37:59Speaker 1: What's that mean? No, she took the car. We're a
- 38:01Speaker 1: one-car household right now. Okay, well, a couple things. One,
- 38:04Speaker 1: that's on you, Ricky Bobby, not me. Two, there's Uber.
- 38:07Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, I guess I could have done that to
- 38:09Speaker 5: be on here. That's a good idea.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, we give you a segment, Marlar Monday.
- 38:13Speaker 1: We give you a whole hour. A whole hour, and
- 38:15Speaker 1: you don't even show up. Like, when's the last time
- 38:17Speaker 1: you've been here on a Monday? Three weeks ago.
- 38:19Speaker 5: Best day of my life.
- 38:22Speaker 1: I will be here next Monday.
- 38:24Speaker 5: Some people are not going to like it, but I'll
- 38:25Speaker 5: be here.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Why wouldn't they like it?
- 38:27Speaker 5: I don't know. There's some people that are mad right now.
- 38:29Speaker 1: What'd you do now?
- 38:30Speaker 4: He's getting sensitive.
- 38:31Speaker 1: I am not getting sensitive.
- 38:34Speaker 5: Okay.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Yeah. What?
- 38:35Speaker 1: Yeah. What is it? I don't like this.
- 38:38Speaker 5: I don't like this angle.
- 38:39Speaker 3: I'm in.
- 38:40Speaker 5: Hey, quick question. I don't have a mic set up.
- 38:42Speaker 5: This was locked on Cox. Um, South Carolina president.
- 38:46Speaker 7: Is he a yay or a nay?
- 38:47Speaker 5: Uh, he is going to be a nay. Okay.
- 38:50Speaker 1: But they do think they have 11 of the 16
- 38:53Speaker 1: votes they would have needed before last night, which is
- 38:54Speaker 1: kind of crazy. I don't, Who's they?
- 38:56Speaker 5: I don't think it comes to food.
- 38:58Speaker 1: Most people that are smarter than me.
- 39:01Speaker 4: That's not hard. It's also stupid.
- 39:02Speaker 5: There it is.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Glad I came here.
- 39:04Speaker 5: Be here next Monday.
- 39:06Speaker 1: No, you won't.
- 39:07Speaker 3: What? Okay.
- 39:07Speaker 4: If you're not here next Monday, we're canceling Marlar Monday.
- 39:10Speaker 5: We're going to be like, get out of my butt.
- 39:12Speaker 4: Get out of my butt.
- 39:13Speaker 1: You're going to say what now?
- 39:14Speaker 7: Yeah, now.
- 39:15Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 39:15Speaker 1: I'll just sit here the rest of the day.
- 39:17Speaker 4: No, you can go now.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Is that Polo from the movie Accepted again?
- 39:20Speaker 7: Do you want to see?
- 39:21Speaker 8: Dude.
- 39:22Speaker 1: I was looking at you. This is a bad radio.
- 39:24Speaker 4: What, you look skinny?
- 39:25Speaker 5: I mean, like, come on now. All right.
- 39:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:28Speaker 5: All right.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Go Bobcats. See you, Marlon. Bobcats?
- 39:31Speaker 4: We're going to be in the same conference in a minute.
- 39:33Speaker 1: You guys are going to be in the Peach Belt. No,
- 39:34Speaker 1: we're going to the Sun Belt, buddy.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Trips to Ruston and Lafayette and Monroe.
- 39:41Speaker 4: Let's go. OTV on the show on the road every Friday.

- 39:47Speaker 4: Some action.
- 39:48Speaker 1: There's some. There's some bad weather situations up in the Mac.
- 39:52Speaker 1: It's football weather, baby. It's not. Football weather.
- 39:55Speaker 5: No, it is not.

- 42:29Speaker 6: Do NFL players have to pay taxes in other countries
- 42:31Speaker 6: for these international games like they do when they travel
- 42:34Speaker 6: to other states?
- 42:35Speaker 1: There is, I forget what it's called, but there is
- 42:38Speaker 1: a tax in there, yes. Yeah, you have to pay
- 42:40Speaker 1: taxes in each state that you play in. So if
- 42:42Speaker 1: you play for, like I played in Green Bay. Well,
- 42:45Speaker 1: if I played in California for that week, I had
- 42:47Speaker 1: to pay California taxes. And I did.
- 42:49Speaker 5: I might be.
- 42:49Speaker 7: Talking about it. I saw a thing on Twitter yesterday.
- 42:52Speaker 7: Matt Stafford, week one taxes. So he's playing in Australia.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:56Speaker 8: $ 2.
- 42:56Speaker 7: 2 million is going to be paid to Australia. $ 814, 000 federal,
- 43:01Speaker 7: $ 293K California tax.
- 43:03Speaker 5: Total of one point. Let's see.
- 43:06Speaker 7: Stafford's going to keep $ 947, 000.
- 43:13Speaker 1: To answer your question, yeah.
- 43:14Speaker 5: He's going to pay a lot.
- 43:16Speaker 1: You pay taxes anywhere you play.
- 43:17Speaker 5: It's dumb. Tax returns are a B.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Hashtag ask the bench. Have you ever had to swallow
- 43:23Speaker 1: your pride and admit wrong or apologize when you really
- 43:26Speaker 1: didn't want to?
- 43:27Speaker 5: Yes.
- 43:28Speaker 1: I'm married.
- 43:29Speaker 8: True.
- 43:30Speaker 5: That's like part of being an adult.
- 43:31Speaker 7: Yeah, we tap our chest around here.
- 43:33Speaker 1: We don't put our arms out.
- 43:35Speaker 4: What was the question?
- 43:36Speaker 6: Have you ever swallowed your pride and you know, admitted
- 43:39Speaker 6: you were wrong or apologize when you really didn't want to.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:42Speaker 7: Here, let me, I got to rephrase this about the
- 43:45Speaker 7: Stafford thing. I was misreading this. I just did a screenshot. Anyway,
- 43:49Speaker 7: he's got to pay a lot of Australian taxes. So
- 43:50Speaker 7: he's going to keep $ 947, 000 for this game and he's
- 43:55Speaker 7: going to pay $ 1.
- 43:56Speaker 5: 25 million in taxes. Yeah. That's fun.
- 43:59Speaker 4: That makes me mad.
- 44:00Speaker 7: Right.
- 44:03Speaker 5: It's a lot of money.
- 44:04Speaker 1: It's good. It happens more than you think.

- 44:48Speaker 1: We would celebrate that to the fullest.
- 44:50Speaker 7: I can't believe what Marler said, that they got 11
- 44:52Speaker 7: votes right now.
- 44:53Speaker 5: I don't think it goes to a vote.
- 44:55Speaker 4: You're going to trust Marler?
