- 0:02Speaker 1: Ft Live postgame show after Game two of the NLCS
- 0:06Speaker 1: where the Dodgers take a two to nothing lead and
- 0:09Speaker 1: head back home to La. Well, things are lining up
- 0:12Speaker 1: for a Dodgers Mariners World Series. Scottie Brown, Arikratz, let's
- 0:17Speaker 1: talk and instantly react. Krats. The starting pitcher is so back.
- 0:24Speaker 2: So back, and it's so bountiful in LA. I mean,
- 0:29Speaker 2: they have all the starting pitching. It's not even fair.
- 0:31Speaker 2: No other teams. Next year they're probably going to go
- 0:33Speaker 2: one sixty two and oh mmmm.
- 0:37Speaker 1: It reminds me of last offseason where the Dodgers put
- 0:42Speaker 1: icing on the cake with some bullpen editions that we
- 0:45Speaker 1: do not even see in the postseason, like Kirbyates and
- 0:49Speaker 1: Tanner Scott. But also the weakness for the Dodgers is
- 0:53Speaker 1: not that much of a weakness. It's like a little
- 0:56Speaker 1: sprinkle of a weakness because you often don't need it.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Let's start with Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Doc Roberts lets him go
- 1:03Speaker 1: the difference one day after holding Blake Snell and not
- 1:07Speaker 1: having him go in the ninth after one of the
- 1:10Speaker 1: more dominant performances in the postseason we've seen in a minute,
- 1:13Speaker 1: so Yamamoto tops him. A complete game nine inning domination
- 1:19Speaker 1: from Yamamoto. He gives up the first pitch over to
- 1:22Speaker 1: Jackson Churio and then look at the screen. Three hits
- 1:26Speaker 1: the entire game. That one run to the first batter
- 1:29Speaker 1: on the first pitch. Nothing after that. He walked one,
- 1:33Speaker 1: he fanned seven. He had it rolling. He gave you
- 1:37Speaker 1: just enough in terms of the swing and miss some
- 1:41Speaker 1: of the early count attacks from the Brewers early on
- 1:45Speaker 1: in the game, just enough, like to sprinkle in a
- 1:47Speaker 1: little bit of everything that you'd usually see from Yamamoto
- 1:50Speaker 1: over an entire game. He was brilliant, dominant.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I mean one pitch leadoff homer and then he gave
- 1:59Speaker 2: up one walk, especially since Cheerio hit the leadoff homer
- 2:04Speaker 2: on a heater. I turned to my son, we were
- 2:06Speaker 2: watching a game. I goes, well, he's gonna be able
- 2:09Speaker 2: to go He's gonna be able to go far if
- 2:11Speaker 2: he can throw his breaking ball, because he's not gonna
- 2:12Speaker 2: want to throw his fastball anymore. Credit to Yamamoto, Credit
- 2:16Speaker 2: to Will Smith for saying it's okay one swing were good,
- 2:21Speaker 2: and they weren't just good, they were great. Complete game
- 2:27Speaker 2: one run that is like what is it the nineties.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Right, seventies, eighties, nineties, nineties, nineties, nineties postseason game under
- 2:39Speaker 1: three hours? Absolutely, Dave Roberts not having to do almost
- 2:44Speaker 1: anything besides say okay, you can continue pitching, right, I
- 2:49Speaker 1: mean he had to make no decisions. And hey, this
- 2:53Speaker 1: is a far cry from what we used to see
- 2:56Speaker 1: from the Dodgers. Remember, this team has made it to
- 2:58Speaker 1: the postseason I think thirteen consecutive years. But Kraft, it
- 3:02Speaker 1: wasn't always like this. They got very cute in the past,
- 3:06Speaker 1: platoon city, switching pitchers left and right, right, pulling guys
- 3:11Speaker 1: early from starts, which it wasn't just them, it was
- 3:15Speaker 1: most of Major League Baseball. They're one of the more
- 3:18Speaker 1: traditional teams in the sport. And yes, we get it
- 3:22Speaker 1: for the non Dodger fans that are watching right now.
- 3:24Speaker 1: We know they have money and they have resources. Oh
- 3:27Speaker 1: and they also have one of the top farm systems
- 3:30Speaker 1: in the sport, and that is held down by a
- 3:32Speaker 1: salary cap. With a draft and international money you're able
- 3:35Speaker 1: to spend. Oops, they're still best in that. So I
- 3:39Speaker 1: would just like to say this team is so dominant
- 3:43Speaker 1: right now and clicking on all cylinders It's really exactly
- 3:47Speaker 1: as they drew things up in March, right, we are
- 3:52Speaker 1: going to get through the marathon so that we have
- 3:55Speaker 1: ace coming at you in the postseason. And that's what
- 3:59Speaker 1: we have right now. Yamamoto gave them a really full,
- 4:03Speaker 1: dominant sophomore season and that has continued into the postseason,
- 4:06Speaker 1: aside from the little blip against the Phillies. Kratz Glass now,
- 4:11Speaker 1: who has had his injury issues, gets healthy at the
- 4:15Speaker 1: right time for them, which is what they care about.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Show.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Hey, Tani is in this postseason slumping mostly as a hitter.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I know he came through with one RBI knock in
- 4:25Speaker 1: this one and might not even have to pitch in
- 4:28Speaker 1: this series. I mean, I guess you could throw him
- 4:30Speaker 1: in Game four, but you don't have to if you
- 4:32Speaker 1: don't feel like you want to and you're up three
- 4:34Speaker 1: to zero at that point. We'll see, we'll see, right.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah, you hit on a lot of guys. They're a
- 4:43Speaker 2: different guys. And I want to take it back to
- 4:45Speaker 2: what you said, like, oh man, this team was built.
- 4:48Speaker 2: You know, nobody else is able to build or whatever
- 4:51Speaker 2: he said. The financial resources. Okay, so nobody could have
- 4:55Speaker 2: spent one hundred and fifteen million on Tyler Glass. Now
- 4:59Speaker 2: nobody could have spent one hundred and seventy million deferred
- 5:02Speaker 2: money on Blake Snell, both available. Mookie Betts got traded
- 5:08Speaker 2: over to the Dodgers. Freddie Freeman was a brave it's
- 5:12Speaker 2: becoming a destination. Keiky Hernedez came on our show, and
- 5:15Speaker 2: I know people will be like, a, who cares about KK? Well,
- 5:18Speaker 2: you know what, KYK shows up in the playoffs, and
- 5:20Speaker 2: if you're a playoff team, you might want to make
- 5:23Speaker 2: your destination a place like KEYK talked about La where
- 5:27Speaker 2: you go. I don't want to go anywhere else. And
- 5:30Speaker 2: is it about winning? Yes, it's about winning. It's about
- 5:33Speaker 2: winning for every one of these guys, and there's so
- 5:36Speaker 2: many of these guys. Yeah, every team did not have
- 5:38Speaker 2: a chance at Show. Hey. Every team clearly did not
- 5:40Speaker 2: have a chance at Roki Sasaki. But they've built this team,
- 5:44Speaker 2: not just this year or last offseason when they got show. Hey,
- 5:49Speaker 2: they've built this team and this organization for the last
- 5:52Speaker 2: thirteen years. They were like, damn, we screwed up maybe
- 5:55Speaker 2: too much platoon. They're not even like tonight. They finally
- 5:59Speaker 2: the bats broke out out before this in the last
- 6:03Speaker 2: two series, they were hitting one ninety nine as a team.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Max Munsey had his first RBI tonight. Freddie Freeman got
- 6:10Speaker 2: his first RBI last night. They are playing. As much
- 6:14Speaker 2: as this might sound terrible to other fan bases, they're
- 6:18Speaker 2: playing all twenty six men. Ben Roved. Ben Roved was
- 6:22Speaker 2: a catcher that got called up in September, that got
- 6:26Speaker 2: picked up from an organization to fill in and almost
- 6:29Speaker 2: caught back to back no hitters, like this is an
- 6:33Speaker 2: organization that brings guys in that fits their mold. Yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 2: they pay some of them, I get that, but they
- 6:40Speaker 2: fits their mold and they could care less about their
- 6:43Speaker 2: own success. They want to win. And look at what
- 6:47Speaker 2: they're doing again this year.
- 6:50Speaker 1: By the way, did you mention pahes.
- 6:54Speaker 2: No? I didn't. I think tonight.
- 6:58Speaker 1: He had been one for twenty seven this postseason, with
- 7:01Speaker 1: no walks and no runs batted in, and he had
- 7:05Speaker 1: arguably the biggest knock of the game because it was
- 7:09Speaker 1: the go ahead and it was the deciding run driven
- 7:11Speaker 1: in by pahes to out RBI doubled a right field corner.
- 7:16Speaker 1: And suddenly this lineup looks quite scary. I don't want
- 7:20Speaker 1: to say suddenly, I mean, obviously they put up runs
- 7:23Speaker 1: throughout this postseason so far, but like you mentioned, some
- 7:26Speaker 1: of the guys that had been quiet are starting to
- 7:29Speaker 1: light up. It's becoming a problem very quickly for Milwaukee.
- 7:35Speaker 1: They are going to have to win four of their
- 7:36Speaker 1: next five games, just like the Toronto Blue Jays are
- 7:39Speaker 1: going to have to win four of their next five games,
- 7:42Speaker 1: and three of those games are going to be on
- 7:45Speaker 1: the road. That doesn't necessarily mean everything. The Dodgers just
- 7:49Speaker 1: won two games on the road. The Mariners just won
- 7:51Speaker 1: two games on the road in the Championship series. But
- 7:54Speaker 1: we will talk a little bit more about what happened
- 7:57Speaker 1: in Game two and then spin it forward to Game
- 7:59Speaker 1: three to see if Milwaukee has a fighting chance or
- 8:01Speaker 1: if the Dodgers are on their way to sweep City.
- 8:04Speaker 1: We're gonna step aside for a quick second. Please subscribe

- 8:36Speaker 1: have been a long time Omaha Steaks guy too.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Back in college, I would always order steaks. I'd
- 8:42Speaker 2: put them in my freezer.
- 8:43Speaker 1: And that's the reason I bulked up is because I
- 8:46Speaker 1: always had fresh steaks in my freezer, ready to go, delicious, protein,
- 8:51Speaker 1: Get after it. Okay, it is the best in the biz.

- 9:18Speaker 1: We're back. Thanks for hanging with us, and let's talk
- 9:21Speaker 1: about the Dodgers starting rotation ERRA. If you've played at
- 9:25Speaker 1: least eight games in a postseason, they are at the
- 9:27Speaker 1: two spot all time. Right now, the number is one,
- 9:30Speaker 1: five four second lowest in history among teams with at
- 9:34Speaker 1: least eight playoff games, number one belonging to the nineteen
- 9:37Speaker 1: eighty three Orioles at one three to one. And yes,
- 9:40Speaker 1: we understand they are still postseason games to go, but
- 9:42Speaker 1: just to give you some context on where they're at,
- 9:46Speaker 1: the Brewers' bullpen has been really good throughout the postseason. Crats.
- 9:49Speaker 1: They were as sharp in this one. But at the
- 9:53Speaker 1: same time they're getting used a ton a ton, and
- 9:57Speaker 1: they are not the problem. They are the The offense
- 10:02Speaker 1: needs to figure things out against number one starters every night.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I know I ask you this almost every night, but
- 10:08Speaker 1: it's like, is this the offense's fault or are they
- 10:12Speaker 1: matching up against the top ten starters on the planet
- 10:16Speaker 1: and they can't muster up offense?
- 10:19Speaker 2: I mean, I tend to when I'm watching these pictures,
- 10:22Speaker 2: I tend to see these swings and say it's the pictures,
- 10:26Speaker 2: Like these pictures are dominating in the zone. Yamamoto and
- 10:31Speaker 2: Snell the last two nights have one walk combined. Snell
- 10:36Speaker 2: had zero last night, Yamona had one. And when you're
- 10:41Speaker 2: doing that and you're still getting ten punchies seven punchies,
- 10:45Speaker 2: you're still going eight to nine innings. It means you're
- 10:48Speaker 2: getting outs in the zone and your stuff is really
- 10:53Speaker 2: just dominant right now, like they are. Their starting rotation
- 10:57Speaker 2: is clicking on all cylinders against as lineup that knows
- 11:01Speaker 2: how to hit, that knows how to score runs and
- 11:04Speaker 2: manufacture things, and they're just not able to do it.
- 11:09Speaker 2: And it doesn't get any easier. It doesn't get any easier.
- 11:12Speaker 2: You got a day off and then you face Glass now.
- 11:15Speaker 2: You hope maybe Glass now can walk a few guys,
- 11:20Speaker 2: because he normally gets two or three walks in a game.
- 11:22Speaker 2: But right now, if he's watching the other guys, he's like,
- 11:25Speaker 2: oh wait, they're right, my stuff does play in the zone.
- 11:29Speaker 2: It's gonna be it's gonna be another tough night.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Where's Miz asks? Al Miz will appear soon? Maybe Game three,
- 11:41Speaker 1: does he hit?
- 11:42Speaker 2: Does a miss hit like that? Stuff?
- 11:44Speaker 1: Like, yeah, hey, game one was close. I will say
- 11:49Speaker 1: this Game one was close. The Dodgers had a lot
- 11:52Speaker 1: more activity going on, but the Brewers had a chance
- 11:54Speaker 1: to win that game. And even Pat Murphy phrased it
- 11:57Speaker 1: the same way that the question was asked. They could
- 11:59Speaker 1: have stolen in Game one with what was going on late.
- 12:02Speaker 1: There were two major issues. One, abnery Rebay walked in
- 12:06Speaker 1: a run that made it to nothing. Brewers caught up
- 12:09Speaker 1: with one run, but not two. In the ninth Bryce
- 12:12Speaker 1: Terrang almost hit by a pitch instinct pulls them back.
- 12:15Speaker 1: We talked a lot about that on Foul Territory during
- 12:18Speaker 1: the day. And then Terrang chases a fastball high level.
- 12:23Speaker 1: That was the game, but they had a chance. Bases
- 12:26Speaker 1: were loaded there. That was your chance to knock the
- 12:28Speaker 1: Dodgers and make this a one to one. Even if
- 12:31Speaker 1: Yamamoto dominated, and it's crazy to think that Blake Snell
- 12:34Speaker 1: dominated like that and the Brewers were in this spot.
- 12:37Speaker 1: This is a good team, but we talked about them
- 12:40Speaker 1: in the regular season as a contact team, a patient team,
- 12:45Speaker 1: and a team that ranked pretty far down there in
- 12:48Speaker 1: terms of pop Do you think that the Dodgers' attack
- 12:53Speaker 1: plan is throw strikes. Our stuff is better and we
- 12:57Speaker 1: don't feel like there are too many power threats, so
- 13:00Speaker 1: let's just be economical as hell and show off some
- 13:03Speaker 1: of the best stuff in our game.
- 13:06Speaker 2: I think their plan is a very old school approach.
- 13:11Speaker 2: When I hit when I got to triple A, the
- 13:13Speaker 2: pitching coach was like, look, we can look at the lineup.
- 13:17Speaker 2: We can say, just based on stats, the guys that
- 13:21Speaker 2: you can't walk, and then based on stats, we're gonna
- 13:24Speaker 2: then look at the guys who you can't just get throw,
- 13:29Speaker 2: get me over pitches. He's like, and I haven't even
- 13:31Speaker 2: seen any of them swing. If you don't drive the
- 13:34Speaker 2: ball in triple A in the big leagues, good pitchers,
- 13:38Speaker 2: which the Dodgers' pitching staff starting rotation is great, not good,
- 13:42Speaker 2: they're great, can just attack you with fastballs. Because majority
- 13:47Speaker 2: of the time you're not going to hit the ball
- 13:49Speaker 2: out of the ballpark. You have to put the fear
- 13:52Speaker 2: of the home run in the pitching staff to then
- 13:55Speaker 2: scare them out of the zone. Now we say all
- 13:58Speaker 2: that to say, look what happens to the teams that
- 14:01Speaker 2: strike out too much? They look listless. The Phillies have
- 14:05Speaker 2: to make an adjustment in the postseason. We're seeing so
- 14:09Speaker 2: many different variations of lineups in this postseason that the
- 14:14Speaker 2: reality is, whatever you're doing, you have to win the ballgame.
- 14:19Speaker 2: The Phillies, against this vaunted starting rotation, had leads in
- 14:24Speaker 2: three games against their starting rotation. They lost all three
- 14:29Speaker 2: of those games. They were losing in one of those
- 14:32Speaker 2: games to their starting rotation, they won that game. This
- 14:36Speaker 2: is the razor thin line that you run in the postseason.
- 14:40Speaker 2: And when you have a team as deep as the Dodgers,
- 14:43Speaker 2: a team that plays so well together and has team
- 14:46Speaker 2: at bats, the lineup at some point seems to pick
- 14:50Speaker 2: you up and the starting rotation is doing it exactly opposite.
- 14:54Speaker 2: This time last year, we were going, man, how did
- 14:57Speaker 2: they survive that Padre series? Ah? Man, they could have
- 15:02Speaker 2: been the team that was in it. But and yet
- 15:05Speaker 2: it's the Dodgers that are always coming out on top
- 15:07Speaker 2: because they just have that slight edge. Yeah.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not going to speak for Dodger fans here.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I know there are plenty watching our show right now,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and also after our show, you can check out Dodgers' territory.
- 15:20Speaker 1: They're running live too. I imagine that Dodger fans felt
- 15:24Speaker 1: a lot more nervous last year than they did this year.
- 15:27Speaker 1: There hasn't been a lot of panic, right. I mean,
- 15:31Speaker 1: they breezed through the Reds, they took down the Phillies
- 15:35Speaker 1: in some really exciting games, but we didn't get to
- 15:37Speaker 1: a game five. And right now they're really in command
- 15:41Speaker 1: with a two zero Series lead. It felt like maybe
- 15:44Speaker 1: they could have taken a breath in the World Series
- 15:46Speaker 1: last year because the National League was so much more
- 15:50Speaker 1: dominant and well rounded, so it was a gauntlet to
- 15:52Speaker 1: get through the National League, and then the Yankees, in
- 15:56Speaker 1: my mind, were not as good as several teams that
- 15:58Speaker 1: they ran into before that. But this time around, you
- 16:01Speaker 1: might almost have the opposite equation running. You might have
- 16:05Speaker 1: it where the Dodgers don't feel like they were too
- 16:07Speaker 1: tested in the National League side, but then they run
- 16:10Speaker 1: into a Mariners team that's feeling good and can match
- 16:15Speaker 1: up against them. Their starters can match up against them.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Their bullpen right now, traditional bullpen relievers, right traditional relief
- 16:22Speaker 1: pitchers are better than what the Dodgers are offering. They've
- 16:26Speaker 1: got a hotter bullpen and lineup wise, I think it's
- 16:29Speaker 1: pretty close, and the identity of both offenses is pretty close.
- 16:35Speaker 1: It's a less battle tested Mariners group. But it's just
- 16:40Speaker 1: something to think about as we look forward here. If
- 16:43Speaker 1: you're a Dodger fan, you're rooting hard right now for Toronto,
- 16:45Speaker 1: aren't you? Make this a little bit of a fight?
- 16:48Speaker 1: Put Seattle in a tough spot, although they played fifteen
- 16:51Speaker 1: innings in a game five, and it didn't phase that
- 16:53Speaker 1: much when they headed over to Toronto. So I think
- 16:56Speaker 1: we're heading into what could be a heavyweight matchup and
- 17:00Speaker 1: the two teams that deserve to be there.
- 17:03Speaker 2: I think I disagree with you as the lineup. I
- 17:05Speaker 2: think the Dodgers lineup is much better. You know, you're
- 17:08Speaker 2: you're not running out, You're you know, especially facing if
- 17:11Speaker 2: you're talking about it looking ahead, because this is definitely
- 17:13Speaker 2: way ahead. Facing the Mariners. They're not making any left
- 17:18Speaker 2: hand left hand starters are not making any starts. So
- 17:20Speaker 2: to me, you have your best starting rotation, you have
- 17:23Speaker 2: your best starting lineup out there against righty's. I think
- 17:26Speaker 2: the Dodgers are deeper, but that's why you play these games,
- 17:29Speaker 2: and this is why I would encourage every organization to
- 17:32Speaker 2: push all in. Some will say it's not fair. Look
- 17:35Speaker 2: what the Dodgers do. They've been in every game besides
- 17:39Speaker 2: the Reds. They've been in every game with the Dodgers.
- 17:43Speaker 2: And if you think the Dodgers are the if you're
- 17:45Speaker 2: out there and you think that the Dodgers are the
- 17:48Speaker 2: favorite and you're like, oh man, you can't have you
- 17:50Speaker 2: have no chance of beating them. I've had a chance
- 17:53Speaker 2: every single night except for the Reds and maybe tonight,
- 17:57Speaker 2: I would say you didn't have a chance, and I
- 17:59Speaker 2: would stop looking at it as starting rotation and bullpen,
- 18:03Speaker 2: and I would look at it as which team can
- 18:06Speaker 2: get nine outs first? Because the Mariners aren't going to go.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Dan Wilson has shown he's not going to allow his
- 18:13Speaker 2: starters to go. John Schneider has shown he's not gonna
- 18:17Speaker 2: allow his starters to go. Brewers don't have that kind
- 18:21Speaker 2: of start length. The Dodgers don't have that kind of bullpen.
- 18:24Speaker 2: So it's really about how do you get nine innings
- 18:27Speaker 2: of outs, not nine outs, nine innings of outs twenty
- 18:29Speaker 2: seven outs.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I think it's pretty obvious how the roadmap can look
- 18:34Speaker 1: for the Dodgers to either win this an LCS or
- 18:39Speaker 1: even sweep. What does the roadmap look like for the crew?
- 18:45Speaker 1: I mean, obviously I don't. Do you call it an
- 18:47Speaker 1: approach change? Do you call it some bad command outings
- 18:51Speaker 1: from the Dodgers? Do you call it riding pitchers up
- 18:56Speaker 1: in terms of pitch count to get to the bullpen
- 18:59Speaker 1: and cracking that open. The Brewers have had a lot
- 19:02Speaker 1: of comeback wins this year, you know, it's a pesky offense,
- 19:06Speaker 1: but it's not intimidating for LA Right now, how does
- 19:10Speaker 1: it turn around?
- 19:13Speaker 2: If I mean you go into the glass Now game,
- 19:16Speaker 2: he's not thrown strikes. You take advantage of that. He
- 19:18Speaker 2: walks a few guys, that's an automatic double. They're gonna
- 19:21Speaker 2: take advantage of the opportunity that maybe glass Now is unhittable,
- 19:26Speaker 2: but he's not unscorable against. Like you can get some
- 19:31Speaker 2: runs if they play their game. I'll I'll triple down,
- 19:36Speaker 2: quadruple down on it. Like you have to play your game.
- 19:39Speaker 2: And you can't say we're going to change our approach
- 19:42Speaker 2: other than understand who the next starter is, Understand what
- 19:48Speaker 2: show Hay is going to do to you. Understand that
- 19:50Speaker 2: glass Now's m has been elite dominating stuff. But you
- 19:57Speaker 2: got to bring him in the zone. And it's gonna
- 19:59Speaker 2: be tough because you're like, well, ninety nine is cutting
- 20:01Speaker 2: at the top of the zone. I can't tell if
- 20:03Speaker 2: that's gonna be going back down into the zone because
- 20:05Speaker 2: now he added the slider, that curveball. I gotta see
- 20:09Speaker 2: it at my eyes to be able to swing at it.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Middle middle, So that means middle middle. I gotta take it,
- 20:15Speaker 2: but I got to recognize it, and you work that
- 20:17Speaker 2: way where you could go like a six inning outing
- 20:19Speaker 2: with Glass now and now you're like, okay, we have
- 20:23Speaker 2: about two innings where we can really add on here,
- 20:26Speaker 2: but they got to get guys on and Glass now
- 20:28Speaker 2: can't hold runners, so that could be that could be
- 20:30Speaker 2: a path. Now all of a sudden, it's two to one.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Now you figure out how to win one of the
- 20:34Speaker 2: next two games. Show hey, pitches, he gets tired, maybe
- 20:39Speaker 2: his bat doesn't come around. Because the Dodgers lineup really
- 20:42Speaker 2: isn't hitting very well tonight. They did. Can you keep
- 20:46Speaker 2: them down? That's the only way they do it?
- 20:50Speaker 1: Okay, it would be a nightmare for Dodger fans. Doesn't
- 20:56Speaker 1: sound like it's very lightly, but we've seen two oh comebacks.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Three to zero comebacks are tough. They exist, but they're
- 21:05Speaker 1: very tough. Two oh comebacks are a thing for me.
- 21:11Speaker 1: It's hard to see them when you look at how
- 21:14Speaker 1: teams are playing. Right and we've been surprised before because
- 21:17Speaker 1: things can turn in our sport. There's a lot of
- 21:20Speaker 1: unpredictable moments in baseball, but look the way these teams
- 21:26Speaker 1: match up. It's just hard to see the Dodgers with
- 21:28Speaker 1: the guys they're throwing out there, falling in four out
- 21:31Speaker 1: of five. Coming up, let's finish with this series. More
- 21:36Speaker 1: likely to take a turn ALCS or NLCS.
- 21:42Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like it has to be the Alcs.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Even though the pitching matchup there doesn't look great for
- 21:48Speaker 2: the Blue Jays, it's very power. There's a lot of parallels.
- 21:51Speaker 2: The Mariners are in control, they're starting rotation, the pitching
- 21:55Speaker 2: matchup is in their favor. The Dodgers are in control,
- 22:00Speaker 2: starting rotation in their favor in the next two games.
- 22:04Speaker 2: I just I have a hard time believing that the
- 22:11Speaker 2: that the that the Brewers can come back from this
- 22:13Speaker 2: in LA up against the pitchers that they have to face.
- 22:16Speaker 2: So I'm going to say the Mariners have a better
- 22:19Speaker 2: chance of blowing this lead.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Still small chance though, Yeah, I'm with you and I
- 22:25Speaker 1: agree Mariners. But it's hard to see it on either
- 22:29Speaker 1: side right now. But I would definitely go Mariners. I
- 22:31Speaker 1: think the Blue Jays offense is dynamic, not that the
- 22:37Speaker 1: Brewers isn't, but I mean, I think the Dodgers pitching
- 22:40Speaker 1: right now just has the answer against Milwaukee. It's a
- 22:43Speaker 1: more battle tested crew too. Most of those Mariners players
- 22:47Speaker 1: have never been in a spot like this. It doesn't
- 22:49Speaker 1: necessarily matter, but I'll go with that pick as well. Okay,
- 22:53Speaker 1: here's the Deal Bowl territory. Every day one to three Eastern,
- 22:58Speaker 1: so we'll be back on tomorrow.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Tomorrow.
- 23:00Speaker 1: A guest list includes Tyler Kepner from the Athletic and
- 23:04Speaker 1: Seth McClung. You didn't play with Seth mclung.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Did you no against him?
- 23:10Speaker 1: Against him? Okay? Former pitcher Seth McClung will join us
- 23:13Speaker 1: and we'll find out who the other guest is and
- 23:15Speaker 1: we post it every day on social media. So one
- 23:18Speaker 1: to three Eastern, like we do every single day. We
- 23:20Speaker 1: want to have a postgame show on Wednesday. We might
- 23:23Speaker 1: have one on Thursday after another Dodgers Brewers matchup, which
- 23:28Speaker 1: could lead us to a three to zero series lead
- 23:31Speaker 1: for the Dodgers, which essentially is a coffin for Milwaukee.
- 23:35Speaker 1: But thank you for watching, and let's give a shout
- 23:38Speaker 1: out on the back end tier to Fox one. They
- 23:42Speaker 1: live for live try seven days free hit the QR
- 23:45Speaker 1: code on the screen or we have the link in
- 23:49Speaker 1: the description of this episode on YouTube or on podcast.
- 23:53Speaker 1: They have the rest of the Alcs and the World Series.
- 23:56Speaker 1: So if you don't have Fox on TV, this is
- 23:59Speaker 1: the spot for you. Go give it a shot. ALCS
- 24:02Speaker 1: keeps rolling and then they'll have the World Series. Of course,
- 24:04Speaker 1: Thanks so much for checking out this FT postgame show
- 24:08Speaker 1: instant reaction to the Dodgers taking a two to oh
- 24:10Speaker 1: series lead, and I can't say it enough. Starting pitching
- 24:14Speaker 1: matters people, See you tomorrow.
