- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Now you'll find out what it all means. Hey, Smarts
- 0:06Speaker 2: amone on seven tenor somehow, it's Monday all over again.
- 0:12Speaker 2: We got a lot to get to today. We'll get
- 0:15Speaker 2: to the incredible rescue and exactly how that happened. We'll
- 0:19Speaker 2: get to the crazies of CNN. We'll get to Artemis,
- 0:24Speaker 2: the Moon mission, the toilet is the big problem. We'll
- 0:28Speaker 2: get to Hey, Eric Adams doing a lot of interviews
- 0:30Speaker 2: all of a sudden, We'll get to JFK Junior. We'll
- 0:33Speaker 2: get to Mom, Donnie and a whole lot more. The
- 0:36Speaker 2: big joke going all over the internet yesterday, Judge Bosburg
- 0:39Speaker 2: orders the airman return to Iran, to that mountain. I mean,
- 0:46Speaker 2: it's it's not funny because that's what these district court
- 0:48Speaker 2: judges do now. So there's a lot going on Iran wise,
- 0:54Speaker 2: the incredible rescue mission. The President today at one o'clock
- 0:58Speaker 2: in the afternoon will hold a press conference with some
- 1:01Speaker 2: military people and they'll explain exactly how this all happened.
- 1:08Speaker 2: We could wait till one o'clock, or actually I can
- 1:10Speaker 2: tell you right now now. What happened was the fighter
- 1:13Speaker 2: jet has a pilot and another pilot who's a weapons officer.
- 1:18Speaker 2: They both ejected. The problem is when you're going that fast,
- 1:23Speaker 2: the ejections might be a second or two apart, and
- 1:29Speaker 2: at that speed, that could put you at many, many,
- 1:31Speaker 2: many many miles away when you come down. So they
- 1:34Speaker 2: landed in different places. They rescued the first pilot and
- 1:39Speaker 2: then they had to look for the second one. He
- 1:40Speaker 2: was in a different area, in a very mountainous, tricky region.
- 1:45Speaker 2: And there's all kinds of training, elaborate training on what
- 1:49Speaker 2: to do in a case like this, how to evade,
- 1:51Speaker 2: and they say evade, elevate, get to the highest point
- 1:54Speaker 2: you can get to, how to stay hidden, how to survive.
- 1:58Speaker 2: So the pilot was badly wounded in the crash. Remember
- 2:01Speaker 2: you're coming out of a plane in an ejector seat
- 2:05Speaker 2: from many many miles up. It's a tough landing. And
- 2:08Speaker 2: he was seriously wounded. Yet somehow seriously wounded, he managed
- 2:14Speaker 2: to climb seven thousand feet up into a mountain, found
- 2:19Speaker 2: a crevice to hid in. Now, the pilot only has
- 2:23Speaker 2: he's only armed with a handgun, that's all he's got,
- 2:25Speaker 2: But he's got incredible GPS stuff that can send out
- 2:29Speaker 2: a beacon saying exactly right down to the inch where
- 2:34Speaker 2: he is. So they knew where he is. They just
- 2:37Speaker 2: had to figure out this rescue operation and how to
- 2:39Speaker 2: get him out of there. Again. It was in a mountain,
- 2:43Speaker 2: very high up, seven thousand feet high up, so nearby
- 2:47Speaker 2: they found a place where they could build a landing strip.
- 2:50Speaker 2: You have to almost create your own airport within Iran.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Now for all the people to think, well, if we
- 2:55Speaker 2: ever went in there on the ground, if we ever
- 2:57Speaker 2: did be it, we'd get wiped out, Well that's not
- 2:59Speaker 2: the case. This operation proves that we not only went
- 3:02Speaker 2: in there, we built a landing strip on the ground.
- 3:05Speaker 2: We set up a two mile perimeter around that landing strip,
- 3:11Speaker 2: and then we sent everything over there, drones, endless amount
- 3:14Speaker 2: of drones, satellites, jets, everything to patrol that two mile perimeter,
- 3:20Speaker 2: and anything that came near it was immediately blown up
- 3:23Speaker 2: or destroyed by the drones and the planes. So we
- 3:28Speaker 2: not only set up a landing strip, we equipped it
- 3:30Speaker 2: with two massive cargo ships for helicopters, rescue helicopters. We
- 3:35Speaker 2: put all sorts of stuff there. We also sent you know,
- 3:38Speaker 2: for those of youse said, well, we can never have
- 3:39Speaker 2: boots on the ground. We had boots on the ground.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Over the weekend, one hundred commandos went in there. One
- 3:44Speaker 2: hundred Special Operations Forces were there at that landing strip.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Sealed Team six Delta Force Army rangers were on standby,
- 3:52Speaker 2: so they were all there, and they did engage in
- 3:54Speaker 2: skirmishes on that perimeter. Those special commandos did have to
- 3:59Speaker 2: battle some local treebesman and wipe them out keep the
- 4:02Speaker 2: mission going. So they finally were set up ready to go.
- 4:07Speaker 2: They got up with those helicopters to the top of
- 4:10Speaker 2: that mountain, extracted the pilot who'd been there. And remember
- 4:14Speaker 2: he's there for thirty six hours, and there'd been a
- 4:17Speaker 2: sixty thousand dollars bounty on his head for any Iranian
- 4:22Speaker 2: citizen that could find him. Now, that doesn't sound like
- 4:24Speaker 2: a lot in this country, but it's ten times the
- 4:27Speaker 2: average household income in Iran. It's sixty thousand is a fortune.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It'd be like, you know, six million here, So thousands
- 4:36Speaker 2: were hunting for this pilot. At the same time, the
- 4:38Speaker 2: CIA was able to leak out and Iran picked this up.
- 4:44Speaker 2: They leaked out a whole false story that we'd already
- 4:46Speaker 2: found the airman and that we were removing him amphibious
- 4:50Speaker 2: operation at the sea, so that was to get Iran
- 4:53Speaker 2: focused over there. They did. You know, they have some
- 4:56Speaker 2: missiles left. You know, they probably started with two hundred
- 4:59Speaker 2: and fifty thousand miss and now they probably got five
- 5:01Speaker 2: thousand missiles, but they do have some and they were
- 5:03Speaker 2: able to damage two of the helicopters, knock them down.
- 5:07Speaker 2: They were also to hit those transport planes we had there,
- 5:11Speaker 2: so they were on the ground. They had to be destroyed.
- 5:14Speaker 2: You don't want those helicopters to go into enemy hands.
- 5:17Speaker 2: They'll figure out all our secrets in there. Same thing
- 5:20Speaker 2: with the plane, so we had to blow them up.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It's about two hundred and fifty million dollars worth of equipment.
- 5:26Speaker 2: We had to blow it up. So we bombed our
- 5:27Speaker 2: own equipment, destroyed it completely. Ran putting up videos of
- 5:33Speaker 2: how they were covered the pieces of the planes, but
- 5:35Speaker 2: the pieces won't tell them anything. They mean absolutely nothing.
- 5:40Speaker 2: But that's what you're supposed to do. Remember Joe Biden
- 5:41Speaker 2: when he left Afghanistan, left billions of dollars worth of
- 5:45Speaker 2: our aircraft, fighter jets, everything on the ground in Afghanistan,
- 5:50Speaker 2: just left it there, fell into enemy hands isis took it.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Who knows some of that weaponry might have been used
- 5:57Speaker 2: against us in Iran already. But you supposed to this. Actually,
- 6:01Speaker 2: as Trump said, put half a gallon of gas in
- 6:03Speaker 2: all the planes and fly them out. But Biden left
- 6:05Speaker 2: them there and didn't destroy them, let them fall into
- 6:09Speaker 2: enemy hands. So President Trump, every Easter weekend, it's a
- 6:13Speaker 2: big thing at mar A Lago. Big Easter weekend at
- 6:16Speaker 2: mar A Lago. He canceled the trip there Friday, was
- 6:19Speaker 2: decided he would not go. He would stay in the
- 6:21Speaker 2: White House the whole weekend. And as this operation unfolded,
- 6:25Speaker 2: he was watching it second by second, he was on
- 6:28Speaker 2: top of it, paying close attention to It was over
- 6:33Speaker 2: by Easter Sunday, and then he did have Easter dinner
- 6:36Speaker 2: at the White House with his family. But it was
- 6:38Speaker 2: an incredible operation, amazing success. Iranian television putting out all
- 6:44Speaker 2: kinds of propaganda about what a failure it was, but
- 6:47Speaker 2: obviously it was an amazing, amazing success. The airman again
- 6:55Speaker 2: seriously injured. They say he'll be fine though, he'll recover,
- 6:58Speaker 2: and he'll be just fine. President one o'clock to day
- 7:02Speaker 2: will give all the details. If you're watching the Sunday shows.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Of course you were completely deceived by George Stephanopolis and
- 7:11Speaker 2: Kristen Welker, and nobody knows who does face the nation
- 7:14Speaker 2: the CBS show, No, I can't remember her name. They
- 7:18Speaker 2: should make that a jeopardy question. Even those people won't
- 7:21Speaker 2: know her name. But if you're watching the Sunday Show,
- 7:24Speaker 2: she saw Hakeem Jeffreys yelling that there's no planned. There
- 7:28Speaker 2: was no plan, this war with no plan. Once again,
- 7:31Speaker 2: here's a fact. This is the single most planned war
- 7:34Speaker 2: ever in history. Forty seven years ago, when Iran declared
- 7:39Speaker 2: war on US and seized our hostages, the United States
- 7:44Speaker 2: the Pentagon started figuring out how to go into Iran
- 7:47Speaker 2: if we had to and take over the country. And
- 7:50Speaker 2: about forty seven years ago they started planning. And for
- 7:52Speaker 2: the last forty years, the Pentagon has been working on
- 7:55Speaker 2: Iran battle plans, war plans for forty years. Talk to
- 8:00Speaker 2: generals that were there thirty years ago or twenty years ago,
- 8:03Speaker 2: or ten years ago or five years ago, they'll tell
- 8:05Speaker 2: you it was one of the plans. They kept refining
- 8:08Speaker 2: and refining and going over and war gaming and doing
- 8:12Speaker 2: tabletopped exercises on it. So It is the single most
- 8:15Speaker 2: planned war ever in the history of the world. Forty
- 8:20Speaker 2: years this plan has been worked one the other. If
- 8:23Speaker 2: you're watching the Sunday shows, you'll see Hakeem Jeffreys and
- 8:25Speaker 2: the Democrats telling the no goals and there's no No
- 8:28Speaker 2: one knows what the mission is. No one knows why
- 8:30Speaker 2: we're there. Of course, that's absolutely ridiculous. The goals have
- 8:33Speaker 2: been stated over and over and over again. First, get
- 8:36Speaker 2: rid of the nuclear stuff. Second, totally disarmed Iran, and
- 8:40Speaker 2: if possible, get a new regime in there. That's not
- 8:43Speaker 2: crazy and nuts. One of the Pete Haggs have fired
- 8:47Speaker 2: a top general in the Pentagon. And of course after
- 8:50Speaker 2: watching the fake news the MS now fake news, George Stefanoppolis,
- 8:55Speaker 2: Oh you're here, but this is the most awful crisis.
- 8:58Speaker 2: How could he fire a general? This is unheard of,
- 9:00Speaker 2: It's unbelievable. It's never been done in the middle of
- 9:03Speaker 2: a war. It's done all the time. It's done constantly.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Obama Bush, everybody's fired generals, even in the middle of
- 9:10Speaker 2: the war. Hey remember Stanley McCrystal, mcmember General McCrystal. He's very, very,
- 9:15Speaker 2: very highly regarded General Obama fired him because he was
- 9:19Speaker 2: caught on tape making a joke about Biden that got
- 9:21Speaker 2: him fired by But but just remember the rule. If
- 9:25Speaker 2: a Democrat fires a general, it's just fine, don't worry
- 9:28Speaker 2: about it. Okay. Then the president tweets out yesterday the
- 9:34Speaker 2: F word, Open the F and straight you crazy bastards,
- 9:37Speaker 2: or you'll be living in hell. Now. You're not supposed
- 9:41Speaker 2: to tweet like that, if you're the president, you're not
- 9:42Speaker 2: supposed to use the F word. You're not supposed to say, well,
- 9:47Speaker 2: bomb you back into the Stone Age. Although we said
- 9:50Speaker 2: that a lot in Iraq. That was constantly being said
- 9:52Speaker 2: in Iraq. He said, Tuesday will be power plants and bridges,
- 10:00Speaker 2: take out bridges and all of that. And then this
- 10:03Speaker 2: is where they all went crazy. You know, as they
- 10:05Speaker 2: told you last week. You got to remember President Trump
- 10:08Speaker 2: wakes up every morning and tries to think of how
- 10:11Speaker 2: to make your heads explode, the left wing, the Democrats,
- 10:15Speaker 2: he really does. He actually tries to think how he
- 10:19Speaker 2: could get you even crazier, how he could get you
- 10:21Speaker 2: yelling and screaming, going nuts. And that's why he tweets
- 10:24Speaker 2: things like that, and he really enjoys it. Also he
- 10:29Speaker 2: enjoys being the center of attention all day long. It's ego.
- 10:32Speaker 2: But you know, most people, if you're very, very very famous,
- 10:36Speaker 2: if you're the biggest movie star, a big superstar, you
- 10:40Speaker 2: don't run around trying to get in the front page
- 10:42Speaker 2: every day or trying to be on television. You do
- 10:44Speaker 2: it once or twice a year. When you got a
- 10:46Speaker 2: new movie coming out, then you run around trying to
- 10:48Speaker 2: get on everything. Or you got a book coming out,
- 10:51Speaker 2: then you run around trying to get on every show,
- 10:53Speaker 2: try to get a million articles. That's the only time
- 10:55Speaker 2: you do it. Then you go back under the radar
- 10:57Speaker 2: for a while. But Donald Trump, and he's done us
- 11:00Speaker 2: all his life. He just likes to be the center
- 11:02Speaker 2: of attention every day, no matter what. Now, watch this
- 11:07Speaker 2: tweet has got him. This is all they're talking about
- 11:10Speaker 2: on left wing media, New York Times, everywhere. It's front page,
- 11:13Speaker 2: it's the lead story. And this is all the're talking about.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Is this starts to die down, maybe Monday Tuesday. Once
- 11:20Speaker 2: it dies down, he'll tweet another crazy thing or do
- 11:23Speaker 2: another crazy thing just to get you people nuts, just
- 11:27Speaker 2: to rile you up, your crazy Democrats. And then when
- 11:31Speaker 2: he said he'll bomb infrastructure. He'll bomb bridges, power plants.
- 11:34Speaker 2: If you're watching the Morning Joe type shows, all they're
- 11:37Speaker 2: saying is these is never happened before. Where the US
- 11:41Speaker 2: has threatened war crimes. This would be war crimes blowing
- 11:44Speaker 2: up civilian infrastructure. We have never ever ever done anything like.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Of course, we have do it all the time. That's
- 11:52Speaker 2: how we won World War two. Remember we fire bombed
- 11:55Speaker 2: Dresden in Germany. We fire bombed an entire city, wiped
- 11:59Speaker 2: out the whole city, the population, the infrastructure. We do
- 12:01Speaker 2: it all the time in wars. You ever hear about hiroshime?
- 12:06Speaker 2: We do this. This is a common tactic at the
- 12:09Speaker 2: very end to win a war. It's been done many,
- 12:12Speaker 2: many times. Do you remember war crime trials over hiroshim?
- 12:15Speaker 2: I don't think so. So it's not a war crime.
- 12:19Speaker 2: And what does that mean? A war crime? Who would
- 12:20Speaker 2: enforce that? Who would come and arrest you? Where would
- 12:24Speaker 2: you be on trial for a war crime? The hag? Oh,
- 12:28Speaker 2: you'd be back there in front of Jack Smith. So
- 12:31Speaker 2: it's just got them yelling and screaming about war crimes,
- 12:34Speaker 2: which is absolutely ridiculous. Then the other thing they're yelling
- 12:37Speaker 2: about is well, the twenty fifth Amendment. Obviously he's deranged.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Obviously he's gone completely nuts, and it's time to invoke
- 12:44Speaker 2: the twenty fifth Amendment, which would only get them JD Vance.
- 12:48Speaker 2: I don't think they'd be that happy with that. So
- 12:50Speaker 2: I'm watching again these Sunday shows. They put on people
- 12:53Speaker 2: who have no business talking about anything. Hakeem Jeffreys IQ
- 12:58Speaker 2: eighty maybe doesn't anything about anything, talks like a robot
- 13:02Speaker 2: when he's on TV, and doesn't know anything about any
- 13:06Speaker 2: so they have him as the lead guest. Then I
- 13:09Speaker 2: think it was Meet the Press. Now here's Tim Kaine,
- 13:11Speaker 2: Remember him, Tim Kane? He was Hillary Clinton's running mate.
- 13:16Speaker 2: He's just a totally irrelevant guy. So he comes on
- 13:19Speaker 2: talking about the way the president talks in that tweets,
- 13:21Speaker 2: and Kine said, this is not how you negotiate. This
- 13:26Speaker 2: is a very bad negotiating tech. Now, what the hell
- 13:28Speaker 2: would Tim Kane know about negotiating. He got Donald Trump,
- 13:32Speaker 2: who's considered one of the most experienced successful negotiators ever
- 13:37Speaker 2: in the private sector. It's written like seven books about negotiation.
- 13:41Speaker 2: I mean, the guy's an expert and he's been in
- 13:43Speaker 2: the toughest negotiations for forty years. Tim Kaine has never
- 13:47Speaker 2: negotiated anything ever, yet he's put on as the authority
- 13:51Speaker 2: on this. Hey, Savannah Guthrie back on the Today Show today. Now,
- 13:56Speaker 2: I didn't see the beginning, but I just put it
- 13:59Speaker 2: on the middle and they were on the couch, all
- 14:01Speaker 2: of them, and they were talking about some entertainment stuff
- 14:03Speaker 2: and she was smiling and laughing and having fun like
- 14:07Speaker 2: a Today Show host. So that's good. She's back to normal.
- 14:10Speaker 2: She's back on the Today Show. Yesterday she put out
- 14:12Speaker 2: a a really dark statement about you know, it was
- 14:16Speaker 2: Easter Sunday, and she was talking about hard to believe
- 14:20Speaker 2: in God. She went through this hell and all of this.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Here's someone standing here today. I have to tell you
- 14:28Speaker 3: there are moments in which that promise seems irretrievably far away,
- 14:33Speaker 3: when life itself seems far harder than death.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Yeah, well listen, Yeah, who can imagine what she's been
- 14:42Speaker 2: going through. But she was the most emotional thing yesterday.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Then I'm watching her today on the Today Show. She
- 14:48Speaker 2: laughing and talking about dancing with the Stars and the
- 14:50Speaker 2: voice and well, but she's back at work. She'll be there,
- 14:55Speaker 2: I guess now every day back full time. Hey, we'll
- 14:59Speaker 2: get to CNN. These crazy people that are they're all fired,
- 15:04Speaker 2: Don Lemon, Jim Acosta, they've all been making these crazy statements.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Even Andrew Cuomo making some crazy statements over the weekend.
- 15:13Speaker 2: We'll take some calls next eight hundred three to two
- 15:16Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Is the number, eight hundred three
- 15:20Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten. Hey, Also, we'll get to mom, Donnie.
- 15:24Speaker 2: It's almost one hundred days now. It's hard to believe
- 15:27Speaker 2: he's almost at one hundred days. And uh secretly off
- 15:34Speaker 2: the record private. If you talk to Donald Trump, he'll
- 15:36Speaker 2: tell you, and he's good at reading people. He spend
- 15:39Speaker 2: a lot of time with Mom. Donnie said most important
- 15:41Speaker 2: in the Kaisa Coward he's not really tough and he's
- 15:43Speaker 2: not really brave, so whatever he believes, he's not going
- 15:47Speaker 2: to really push hard for anything. And that's he found
- 15:51Speaker 2: that reassuring. This guy's not going to fight like crazy
- 15:53Speaker 2: to get anything done, so he'll just talk and make videos.
- 15:56Speaker 2: And we're seeing that with this fight he's happening with
- 15:59Speaker 2: the city Council about Texas. But we'll get to that
- 16:01Speaker 2: coming up, and we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred
- 16:04Speaker 2: three to two one zero seven ten.
- 16:07Speaker 1: In Mark on.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Demand by setting up pre sad for his podcast on
- 16:12Speaker 2: the iHeartRadio app. Now back to Mark Simon on wor
- 16:19Speaker 2: Let's take some calls eight hundred three two one zero
- 16:22Speaker 2: seven tennis and number. Let's go to George and Long Island. George,
- 16:26Speaker 2: how you doing, Hi?
- 16:28Speaker 4: Mark?
- 16:29Speaker 5: I went to Chaz by the way. I live in
- 16:31Speaker 5: Port Jeffards.
- 16:31Speaker 6: That was very good jazz.
- 16:33Speaker 2: That's a big new restaurant. Rothman's at a legendary restaurant.
- 16:37Speaker 2: If they opened a second restaurant, the Chaz in.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Smithtown, Yeah, I went there. It's very U. You know
- 16:43Speaker 5: it's not it's pricey, but you get what you paid
- 16:45Speaker 5: for and it's beautiful in sight. So thanks.
- 16:47Speaker 2: That's quite a luxurious restaurant's supposed to be pricey.
- 16:50Speaker 5: It's I'm not complaining.
- 16:52Speaker 2: It's not the Chesscake Factory, not the Olive guard.
- 16:56Speaker 5: I take my grandchildren to the cheesecake factory.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I love the cheesecake factory. I love that Manu seventy
- 17:01Speaker 2: eight pages. You can't decide anything, Mark.
- 17:04Speaker 5: What I wanted to say about Andrew Clomo. He wants
- 17:07Speaker 5: to blame everybody about the law sit on mandangne Blame's
- 17:11Speaker 5: courtesy blames. How about the lousy campaign he ran in
- 17:15Speaker 5: the primary, no effort whatsoever. He thought that, being Andrew Clomo,
- 17:19Speaker 5: they were going to put him in, So I really,
- 17:22Speaker 5: I mean, I don't like Mandani obviously, but I hate
- 17:24Speaker 5: Soul loses. He doesn't want to take any blame for
- 17:27Speaker 5: Montani winning, That's all I have to say.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Yeah, well, he's a You gotta remember it. He's not
- 17:34Speaker 2: exactly the greatest genius in the world. And when you're
- 17:37Speaker 2: like that, you don't realize that you're a bad campaigner.
- 17:40Speaker 2: If he realized that, he'd fix it. If he knew
- 17:44Speaker 2: enough to know how bad he is campaigning, he'd be
- 17:46Speaker 2: able to do something about it. Something in the debate.
- 17:48Speaker 2: He's horrible in the debate. He now does one of
- 17:51Speaker 2: the worst radio shows. It's an hour of him talking
- 17:57Speaker 2: like this, lecturing you, trying to sound like a professor,
- 18:03Speaker 2: like it's an electric But I listened to his radio show.
- 18:06Speaker 2: This is a good insight into him. He actually said,
- 18:10Speaker 2: you know, I'm I'm a Bill Clinton Democrat. I'm a
- 18:14Speaker 2: middle of the road, common sense Democrat. I'm an old
- 18:16Speaker 2: fashioned Bill Clinton Democrat. Now it's stunning how delusional this
- 18:20Speaker 2: guy is. We just saw him as governor for ten years.
- 18:24Speaker 2: He was the total opposite of that. He was a
- 18:26Speaker 2: left wing, far left wing, woke, extreme left governor. He's
- 18:31Speaker 2: the guy that put in this no bail, no jail.
- 18:34Speaker 2: He pushed hard for no bail, no jail. He pushed
- 18:37Speaker 2: hard for closing the prisons, letting the prisoners out. He'd
- 18:40Speaker 2: made He doubled and tripled your electric bill by shutting
- 18:44Speaker 2: down fracking. He shut down Indian Point. He was as
- 18:47Speaker 2: far to the left as anybody. But you know, when
- 18:52Speaker 2: you're like him, you just you convince yourself of anything.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Convinces himself. He's a moderate Bill Clinton type. He did
- 18:58Speaker 2: everything exactly the option of what Bill Clinton would have
- 19:01Speaker 2: done in office. Remember, we threw Ice out and we're
- 19:02Speaker 2: going to sue them for a sanctuary state. Just as
- 19:06Speaker 2: left as you could be. Let's go to sal in
- 19:08Speaker 2: New Jersey. Sal.
- 19:09Speaker 6: How you doing, Good morning, Mark, How you doing?
- 19:12Speaker 7: Mark?
- 19:13Speaker 6: I just want to say that the American people have
- 19:15Speaker 6: to be patient with our war with Iran. It took
- 19:18Speaker 6: eleven months between our invasion of Normandy and the defeat
- 19:22Speaker 6: of the Nazi Germany when they went to Berlin, and
- 19:25Speaker 6: the American people just got to be patient. They got
- 19:27Speaker 6: to be realized that it takes time for us to
- 19:28Speaker 6: be if we beat Nazi Germany eleven months, which was
- 19:31Speaker 6: which was a top, which was a powerful Nazi warmanns.
- 19:35Speaker 2: In fact, President now saying it looks like it's going
- 19:38Speaker 2: to be days not weeks. That everything was two weeks.
- 19:41Speaker 2: You know, every time he says it's two weeks, a
- 19:43Speaker 2: year could go by, it's still two weeks. It's always
- 19:45Speaker 2: two weeks with him. But he's now saying days one
- 19:48Speaker 2: o'clock today it'll be a press conference. Well, I bet
- 19:50Speaker 2: he'll say that now that this is probably gonna be
- 19:53Speaker 2: days not weeks. Let's go to Neil and Brooklyn. Neil,
- 19:56Speaker 2: how you doing all right?
- 19:58Speaker 4: Mark? Thank you mar I've been watching Pritzker and James
- 20:03Speaker 4: cars Will say all these crazy things, obviously appealing to
- 20:08Speaker 4: the real nut jobs and the Democrat Party. But I've
- 20:12Speaker 4: been wondering lately whether they feel secure that they have
- 20:16Speaker 4: the normal Democrats on their side, or they feel they
- 20:20Speaker 4: lost them and that's why they were appealing to.
- 20:22Speaker 7: The nut jobs.
- 20:22Speaker 2: No, they just completely lost. Trump drives them insane, literally insane.
- 20:27Speaker 2: They go crazy, ranting, raving, yelling, and screaming. Carville is
- 20:31Speaker 2: just completely lost his mind. The last few videos he
- 20:35Speaker 2: looks absolutely nuts. Pritzker, that's also kind of an old feud.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Pritzker and Trump have always hated each other. The Pritzker
- 20:43Speaker 2: family is in the hotel business, and Trump's first big
- 20:47Speaker 2: project was Dog Hyatt at Grand Central and his partners
- 20:51Speaker 2: on that were the Pritzkers, and they split up. I
- 20:54Speaker 2: didn't go with something went wrong there. So ever since
- 20:56Speaker 2: then it's been a blood feud Pritzkers and Trump's. Let's
- 21:00Speaker 2: go to Rich and Myrtle Beach Rich, how you doing?
- 21:03Speaker 7: Hey? Thanks? Mark? You know Edwin Cromo is just a
- 21:06Speaker 7: complete moron. Jeffries is a moron. These people can't even
- 21:09Speaker 7: articulate sensible sentences or put together a paragraph or Springer sentences.
- 21:16Speaker 7: You know that they can even balance a checkbook. But
- 21:18Speaker 7: can you imagine for a second any of these people,
- 21:21Speaker 7: or Joe Biden or Kamala Harris or Joe Millie or
- 21:25Speaker 7: Vin Hives are putting together project like this And I
- 21:28Speaker 7: ran where they built it pretty much a small airport
- 21:31Speaker 7: to rescue a pilot and then get the hell out
- 21:33Speaker 7: of there. These people are completely moraliz They could never
- 21:35Speaker 7: pull something like this.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 2: You know, for all the criticism of Pete Hexith not qualified.
- 21:40Speaker 2: First of all, he's much more qualified than half the
- 21:42Speaker 2: secretaries of the defense we've had. Many of them have
- 21:45Speaker 2: had no military experience. They were just a congressman or something. So,
- 21:48Speaker 2: But for all the criticism of Hexath, under his watch,
- 21:53Speaker 2: in his brief time there, we've pulled off the most incredible,
- 21:58Speaker 2: state of the art successful military operations ever. From Maduro
- 22:02Speaker 2: to taking out and RAN's nuclear reactors to rescuing that pilot.
- 22:07Speaker 2: This is all under hexas watch. It's all happened with
- 22:09Speaker 2: him in charge. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 22:13Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 22:13Speaker 8: Good morning Marc, Good morning Marriage. These liberal commentators on
- 22:17Speaker 8: these Sunday shows all seemed to forget that blowing up infrastructures,
- 22:23Speaker 8: as you said, as part of war. They conveniently forget
- 22:26Speaker 8: that Dooley's raidings during World War Two right before in
- 22:29Speaker 8: the closing weeks, used to fly over Tokyo at night,
- 22:33Speaker 8: and because most of the buildings were still made out
- 22:36Speaker 8: of wood where the people lived, they didn't need the
- 22:39Speaker 8: street lights they used to light up. They were dropping
- 22:43Speaker 8: sinuary bombs and practically burnt the whole city before they
- 22:47Speaker 8: dropped the atomic bombs. I think last week you and
- 22:52Speaker 8: I got on Wire's course because I said Ronald Reagan
- 22:55Speaker 8: should have done what Trump is doing forty six years ago.
- 22:59Speaker 8: I mean about cleaning up the voting rolls and everything
- 23:02Speaker 8: like that. He should have went Ronald Reagan as soon
- 23:05Speaker 8: as he got his cabinet together, he should have went
- 23:09Speaker 8: into Iran and destroyed them before they could have gotten
- 23:13Speaker 8: their sea legs, because they were still a bunch of ragtag,
- 23:17Speaker 8: bunch of radical lunatics. They didn't have it together, and
- 23:21Speaker 8: then in time they got their terrorist machine up and running,
- 23:25Speaker 8: and then they started to do all the damage against US.
- 23:28Speaker 8: Had Ronald Reagan went in there the first month after
- 23:32Speaker 8: he got his walk cabinet together, it wouldn't have been
- 23:35Speaker 8: necessary for Donald Trump to go in there forty six today.
- 23:39Speaker 2: You're not wrong. You can blame Reagan, you can blame Bush. No,
- 23:42Speaker 2: you can blame President Trump has pointed that out. Every
- 23:45Speaker 2: president just kicked the can down the road. Time to
- 23:48Speaker 2: do something about it, Vincent, great call, Thanks for calling.
- 23:51Speaker 2: It's forty seven years later after those hostages were taken,
- 23:55Speaker 2: but fuf and again Iran was this much of a
- 23:59Speaker 2: threat in the Reagan day, but then they went on
- 24:01Speaker 2: to be the biggest sponsors of terrorism in the world,
- 24:04Speaker 2: from Hesbala, Hamast hoodies and all of that. Hey, Michael Goodwin,
- 24:08Speaker 2: there was no column yesterday. We look forward to that
- 24:12Speaker 2: Sunday Michael Goodwin column, but he took Easter off. But
- 24:14Speaker 2: we'll get a column for you because he'll be with
- 24:17Speaker 2: us next on seven to ten. W O R back
- 24:21Speaker 2: to marshamo on wor Well. Michael Goodwin the best columnist
- 24:28Speaker 2: in America. You can read them every Sunday and every
- 24:31Speaker 2: Wednesday in the New York Post, and all his columns
- 24:33Speaker 2: are up on the New York Post website. You should
- 24:36Speaker 2: go take a look at them. Michael Goodwin, How you doing, Mark?
- 24:40Speaker 8: Thank you?
- 24:41Speaker 2: Hey, there was no column yesterday. You're ruined my Sunday.
- 24:44Speaker 2: I know it was a holiday, was Easter.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I was gonna say almost every Sunday.
- 24:48Speaker 2: And almost every So what do you think the left
- 24:53Speaker 2: going absolutely nuts trying to convince us we're losing everything
- 24:56Speaker 2: in Iran? Looks like it's going pretty well to me,
- 24:59Speaker 2: wouldn't you agree?
- 25:01Speaker 1: Yes, you know, Mark, I was just the pictures of
- 25:07Speaker 1: the downed American aircraft in this incident, and of course
- 25:12Speaker 1: the rescue is unbelievable story, but the picture of the
- 25:18Speaker 1: downed aircraft, the first thing that went to mind was
- 25:22Speaker 1: Jimmy Carter's attempt to rescue the hostages, and of course
- 25:28Speaker 1: the disaster of that effort, and it really, as Carter
- 25:35Speaker 1: said later, it probably cost him the election because the
- 25:40Speaker 1: hostages were held for something like four hundred and forty
- 25:45Speaker 1: four days until Ronald Reagan was elected. And it struck
- 25:50Speaker 1: me that that failed effort, bungled effort by Jimmy Carter,
- 25:57Speaker 1: in some ways became emblematic of this presidency. And if
- 26:02Speaker 1: Donald Trump, if this incident becomes emblematic of his presidency,
- 26:08Speaker 1: then I think he's in a whole different course right
- 26:12Speaker 1: looking at history. And if this is a good omen
- 26:16Speaker 1: about this war, as I hope it is, that Donald
- 26:20Speaker 1: Trump will have pulled off quite a miracle there.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Well, normal people say, wow, this was unbelievable, this rescue.
- 26:27Speaker 2: But if you're watching television or reading the New York Times,
- 26:30Speaker 2: all you keep hearing about is well, it proves Iran
- 26:33Speaker 2: is still strong. They were shot down two of our helicopters.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Obviously they still have plenty of offensive capability. So what
- 26:39Speaker 2: do you do about that? Adia spin? How do you
- 26:41Speaker 2: fight that?
- 26:43Speaker 1: There isn't much you can do if you're the Whitehouse
- 26:47Speaker 1: at this point. I mean, they look, they hate Trump,
- 26:52Speaker 1: everything about Trump. You know, we were in a quagmire
- 26:56Speaker 1: in the third day. You know, they were on war,
- 26:59Speaker 1: I mean, anom all over before we even began. But look,
- 27:05Speaker 1: I think if Trump try for kind of shadow box,
- 27:08Speaker 1: which he also does against that media, I think it'll
- 27:13Speaker 1: only kind of they'll dig in their heels and he'll
- 27:17Speaker 1: get more and more frustrated. I think what he needs
- 27:20Speaker 1: to be able to do as much as possible, ignore
- 27:24Speaker 1: them and let his record speak for itself to the
- 27:28Speaker 1: American people. There are still enough media organizations that will
- 27:34Speaker 1: cover the actual events instead of the anxiety and personal
- 27:39Speaker 1: opinion of the reporters. But I think if Trump gets
- 27:44Speaker 1: deeply involved in fighting this media war, it's only going
- 27:50Speaker 1: to be to his own detriment because they're never going
- 27:53Speaker 1: to admit that he's right about anything.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Well, of course you're right, but have you ever said
- 28:00Speaker 2: that Donald Trump? Just ignore the critics.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Look, I think on a human side, we will all
- 28:11Speaker 1: face the same temptation.
- 28:14Speaker 8: But I think it.
- 28:15Speaker 1: If he wants to go down as a successful president
- 28:20Speaker 1: thick in this context of Iran that we're talking about,
- 28:25Speaker 1: then I think he's going to have to focus more
- 28:27Speaker 1: and more on the accomplishments and let the record show
- 28:32Speaker 1: that if you have the thinged one of the nuclear
- 28:39Speaker 1: Islamist power, then you're on the right course to doing that.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Yeah. So we're told Michael Goodwin the greatest calumnist in America,
- 28:48Speaker 2: and then President Trump but tweets out open the F
- 28:51Speaker 2: and straight he uses the F word. It will blow
- 28:54Speaker 2: you into the stone. You're not supposed to talk like
- 28:56Speaker 2: that when you're a president. You're not supposed to ever
- 28:59Speaker 2: use that kind of language as a professional government. But
- 29:03Speaker 2: Trump does it all the time. When will people finally
- 29:06Speaker 2: get used to it and stop going crazy over it?
- 29:09Speaker 1: Yeah? I think they there's some kind of imaginary way
- 29:15Speaker 1: a president is supposed to conduct himself publicly. But this
- 29:21Speaker 1: is not a standard that they held Joe Biden to
- 29:25Speaker 1: right in terms of he couldn't remember anything, he couldn't
- 29:29Speaker 1: answer questions his son's corruption. That was that these issues
- 29:34Speaker 1: were kind of glossed over because Joe Biden didn't attack
- 29:38Speaker 1: the media. So it's really a personal fight that The
- 29:43Speaker 1: New York Times, the Washington Post, many other elements are
- 29:48Speaker 1: having with Donald Trump. It's not about their job. There's
- 29:52Speaker 1: journalists so much as it is personal.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, Michael Goodwin, mayor mom, Donny. It's just about
- 29:58Speaker 2: one hundred days now. Hard to believe, but this is
- 30:01Speaker 2: his first hundred days. What do you think he said?
- 30:03Speaker 2: As crazy as he is, the good news is he
- 30:05Speaker 2: doesn't seem to actually get anything done, So I guess
- 30:07Speaker 2: that's good.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it does seem longer than one hundred days, isn't
- 30:13Speaker 1: it like forever? Look, I think mark. The thing that's
- 30:21Speaker 1: coming up, It's coming like a freight train. Is this
- 30:25Speaker 1: issue of the budget and whether the city standing among
- 30:32Speaker 1: investors declines and therefore has to pay even more higher
- 30:38Speaker 1: interest rates to borrow money. And so this downgrade of
- 30:43Speaker 1: the credit watch from stable to negative by three bond
- 30:48Speaker 1: rating agencies is a real bread alert for him if
- 30:55Speaker 1: he really wants to kind of keep any kind of
- 30:58Speaker 1: public confidence. But in the if you think back to
- 31:01Speaker 1: the city fiscal crisis of the seventies, you really remember
- 31:07Speaker 1: how that lack of confidence in New York set on itself,
- 31:13Speaker 1: people and businesses leaving the city. Uh, you don't want
- 31:17Speaker 1: because a financial crisis can have can foster all kinds
- 31:22Speaker 1: of other crisis, crime crisis, for example. So Mandani needs
- 31:27Speaker 1: to take this seriously down.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Yeah, can you mention if you we've had Andrew Cuomo
- 31:35Speaker 2: as a governor, he was so far to the left,
- 31:37Speaker 2: no bail, no jail, close the prisons, wouldn't he He
- 31:42Speaker 2: would have been awful as a mayor.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I think probably, Yeah, we won't never know, right, he's wittis.
- 31:52Speaker 1: I don't think there's any political career for Andrew Como.
- 31:56Speaker 1: But I voted for him because us not because I
- 32:02Speaker 1: had great love for his record, but because I think
- 32:05Speaker 1: he would have been better than mom Donnie on fundamentals
- 32:09Speaker 1: like this.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh well yeah, people say he'd be better with
- 32:14Speaker 2: the police. But again, he's the guy that gave us
- 32:16Speaker 2: no bail, no jail, He's the guy that threw Ice
- 32:18Speaker 2: out of New York. He was no better. Uh, in fact,
- 32:22Speaker 2: he might have been worse than that. He actually was
- 32:24Speaker 2: brave enough to actually try to get stuff done. But
- 32:27Speaker 2: so we missed the call. We went to get a
- 32:28Speaker 2: column on Wednesday, right, Oh yes, okay, it's not Sunday
- 32:34Speaker 2: without your column. But Michael Goodwin, great stuff, thanks for
- 32:37Speaker 2: being with us. My pleasure than Mark take care. Uh yeah,
- 32:43Speaker 2: he just so you know, let me just check again.
- 32:46Speaker 7: Uh.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Stock market up, Yep, the doubt is up. You know,
- 32:50Speaker 2: if you were watching all the Sunday shows, Uh, they
- 32:54Speaker 2: had you convinced that the president's tweeting about using the
- 32:57Speaker 2: F word, the President saying We're gonna ran into the
- 33:00Speaker 2: stone Age. Why this is the end of the world.
- 33:02Speaker 2: This is when the US we actually heard this all
- 33:05Speaker 2: over these Sunday shows and Oliver Morning Joe type shows. Today.
- 33:10Speaker 2: The US will never recover from that tweet. Our standing
- 33:13Speaker 2: in the world will be the mini I don't think so.
- 33:17Speaker 2: I don't think so. The stock market actually up today.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Now.
- 33:19Speaker 2: One reason it's up. Here's the other thing. If you're
- 33:21Speaker 2: watching all that left wing media, they'll convince you that
- 33:24Speaker 2: the economy is in so much trouble. The economy is
- 33:27Speaker 2: to say, well, actually, the economy is doing just fine.
- 33:30Speaker 2: The job numbers. Remember the market was closed on Friday,
- 33:33Speaker 2: so today they're reacting to the Friday numbers that came out.
- 33:36Speaker 2: The job numbers were spectacular, not just better than expected,
- 33:40Speaker 2: but way better than expected. I mean stunningly better than
- 33:44Speaker 2: expected corporate profits, which I know liberals hate that, but
- 33:49Speaker 2: that's really what fuels the market. Corporate profits are doing
- 33:52Speaker 2: very well. The stock market is up as a result.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Market doing great. Hey, yeah, we got a lot to
- 33:58Speaker 2: get to. We'll get to Crazy Mayor Moum. We'll get
- 34:00Speaker 2: to Artemis, we'll get to CNN in more sixteen minutes.
- 34:05Speaker 2: There's some changes coming and all of that just ahead.
- 34:09Speaker 2: Don't forget Buck and Clay. We'll be here at noon today.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Excellent show. Sean Hannity back today three to six. It's
- 34:17Speaker 2: the most listened to radio show in America. Jesse Kelly
- 34:20Speaker 2: at six and Jimmy Fayla always very funny. Great show
- 34:23Speaker 2: every night nine to midnight. Here on seven to ten
- 34:26Speaker 2: wor always a step ahead of the news. Here's more
- 34:30Speaker 2: Marks amone on seven ten woor Hey, Yeah, today's the day.
- 34:38Speaker 2: This morning is the big Easter egg roll at the
- 34:42Speaker 2: White House. Well, I don't know whether they do this,
- 34:43Speaker 2: Why they do this the day after. You would think
- 34:46Speaker 2: they would do it the Easter or the day before.
- 34:48Speaker 2: But it's today. President Trump appearing today this morning with
- 34:51Speaker 2: the Easter Bunny and Milania, and they do the egg roll.
- 34:56Speaker 2: The bunny looks, so it's like a nice bunny. Cost
- 34:58Speaker 2: you think with Trump would be like a goal old
- 35:00Speaker 2: bunny with all kinds of ornate stuff. Well, now it's
- 35:02Speaker 2: a regular easter bunny. Then at one o'clock today he's
- 35:06Speaker 2: going to do you'll want to pay attention to this
- 35:08Speaker 2: briefing at one o'clock with military people. They'll go over
- 35:12Speaker 2: in detail the rescue operation and how it happened. Savannah
- 35:17Speaker 2: Guthrie returned to the Today's Show this morning, and the
- 35:20Speaker 2: show opened an audience outside waiting to greet her, and
- 35:25Speaker 2: it opened with the whole cast bringing her out to
- 35:28Speaker 2: the audience, and the audience all held big signs, Welcome home,
- 35:32Speaker 2: Welcome home, Savannah. You know, it's been sixty five days
- 35:36Speaker 2: since her mother disappeared, sixty five days, so I would
- 35:41Speaker 2: just think it's a zero percent chance that she's alive
- 35:45Speaker 2: sixty five days. Member she needs all kinds of medication,
- 35:48Speaker 2: heart medicine, cholesterol, blood pressure medicine. You can't go without
- 35:52Speaker 2: that sixty five days. She's also got a pacemaker, so
- 35:56Speaker 2: I just don't think she's alive. You know, there've been
- 35:59Speaker 2: cases where somebody disappeared and they just never ever turn up.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Jimmy Hoffa is a good example. There was Judge Crater
- 36:07Speaker 2: back in the twenties, just vanished. Decades later, still found him,
- 36:12Speaker 2: Aton Pates. There's a lot of these cases where they
- 36:15Speaker 2: just never turn up. What was it all about? Who knows?
- 36:18Speaker 2: Could have been? Could have been a kidnapping for ransom.
- 36:24Speaker 2: If you're in that little town there, that's the only
- 36:26Speaker 2: famous person who has a mother, who might have a
- 36:30Speaker 2: lot of money. Maybe that makes for the target. But
- 36:32Speaker 2: then you weren't anticipating the coverage, the massive front page
- 36:38Speaker 2: lead story coverage day and night all over the country,
- 36:41Speaker 2: the President of the United States personally getting involved, the
- 36:45Speaker 2: entire FBI hunting for you. There have been cases where
- 36:48Speaker 2: kidnappers panic and don't want to go through with it.
- 36:51Speaker 2: They just get rid of the body, buried or whatever,
- 36:53Speaker 2: and they just don't it's just too risky. You'd like
- 36:56Speaker 2: to collect some ransom, but it's too risky to try
- 37:01Speaker 2: to make any contactcause that's where you'll get caught. That's
- 37:03Speaker 2: where they'll arrest you. And I guess you think, well,
- 37:07Speaker 2: maybe they would try crypto. And I didn't know this.
- 37:10Speaker 2: I didn't know till I heard it all over the
- 37:12Speaker 2: news that you can trace crypto. Crypto is very traceable,
- 37:17Speaker 2: and they have captured criminals through tracing their crypto. So
- 37:22Speaker 2: it's very possible that kidnappers didn't know that, and when
- 37:26Speaker 2: that was suddenly all over the news, realized they can't
- 37:28Speaker 2: go through with this. Collecting the ransom is where you'd
- 37:31Speaker 2: get caught. So maybe they abandoned the whole thing. So hey, Eric,
- 37:36Speaker 2: Adam's doing a lot of interviews, a lot of interviews.
