- 0:23Speaker 1: the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, March seventh, twenty twenty six,
- 0:27Speaker 1: and is currently available to stream on Hallmark Plus.

- 0:42Speaker 1: Right, a gallon of gas?
- 0:43Speaker 2: Oh, yes, you're right, a gallon of gas. Could you
- 0:47Speaker 2: imagine a tank of gas for five dollars?
- 0:50Speaker 1: It would be amazing.
- 0:52Speaker 2: You're right, less than a gallon of gas here in California.

- 1:44Speaker 1: to Hallmark. Plus, we don't have an exact launch date
- 1:47Speaker 1: for that show where I'm guessing like mid June after
- 1:51Speaker 1: The Way Home ends, but we don't know. That's a guess.
- 1:55Speaker 1: So there is a link to sign up for the
- 1:59Speaker 1: waiting list for the book club and you'll be notified

- 2:13Speaker 1: to make the experience completely free. So again, that link
- 2:16Speaker 1: is in our show notes. Let's talk HANNAHS wentson sugar Advice.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Sugar Advice, Hannah S. Whinson. I always want.
- 2:23Speaker 2: To put the name first before the title yeah, Yeah,
- 2:26Speaker 2: I hear you. Sugar Advice Hannah's wants. In Mystery, Hannah
- 2:31Speaker 2: finds a body at the grand reopening of the Lake
- 2:34Speaker 2: Eden Inn when a storm traps everybody inside.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Hannah must find.
- 2:38Speaker 2: The culport before the road clears and the killer escapes.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Peter Benson directed Sugar Advice, a Hannah s Whinson mystery.
- 2:46Speaker 1: This movie marks Peter's directorial project. His recent work includes
- 2:50Speaker 1: The More the Merrier, Christmas, Above the Clouds, and Return
- 2:52Speaker 1: to Office.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Allie Sweeney wrote the screenplay for Sugar Advice. This marks
- 2:57Speaker 2: her fourth writing credit in the Hannah s Winson franchise.
- 3:00Speaker 2: She also serves as producer.
- 3:02Speaker 1: And leads, starring as Hannah Wowie Zwie. Victor Webster returns
- 3:07Speaker 1: as Chad Norton. We last saw Victor on Hallmark in
- 3:10Speaker 1: twenty twenty five, with back to back Hannah movies, Reality
- 3:13Speaker 1: Bites and Pie to Die For, respectively.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Is this all he's working on lately? Just Chad Norton?
- 3:20Speaker 2: I need a Wowie Zowie romance rom com Give me something, Yeah,
- 3:26Speaker 2: yeah yeah. Barbara Nevin co stars as Hannah's mom, Dolores.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Barbara also appeared in Reality Bites and Pie to Die
- 3:32Speaker 2: For in twenty twenty five, as well as Christmas Baby.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Mike Dupon returns as Sheriff Ealing and blossoming love interest
- 3:40Speaker 1: for Dolores. Mike has two hundred four acting credits and
- 3:43Speaker 1: has appeared in five previous Hannah Swinson mysteries.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Juliana Wimble's plays Cookie Jar colleague Lisa. This marks her
- 3:51Speaker 2: forty eighth acting credit, but Juliana has also been busy screenwriting,
- 3:54Speaker 2: as she recently pinned Romance at Hope Ranch starring Alison Sweeney.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Tess Atkins return as Hannah's sister Michelle. This is her
- 4:02Speaker 2: twenty fifth acting credit, and she has been a part
- 4:04Speaker 2: of the Hannah Swinson universe since Sweet Revenge in twenty
- 4:08Speaker 2: twenty one. When I'm putting these notes together the sister triangle,
- 4:16Speaker 2: I need a reminder every single time there's another sister, right.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yeah, played by Lisa Drupt Where was she? They seem
- 4:25Speaker 1: to swap them in and out. It's weird to me. Also,
- 4:27Speaker 1: Norman is completely missing. Oh, I got tons of notes
- 4:30Speaker 1: about normOn. Okay.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Warn Lee plays hotel employee Bobby. This is Warren's fourteenth
- 4:35Speaker 2: acting credit, and he previously appeared in Reality Bites, as
- 4:39Speaker 2: well as Aurora Tea Garden Mysteries, Something New.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Paul mcgillian plays Kurt Howe. You may recognize Paul from
- 4:47Speaker 1: his role as Jane McLeod on Providence Falls. Interestingly enough,
- 4:51Speaker 1: Paul will appear in This Weekends, Nelly Knows Mysteries, All
- 4:54Speaker 1: Manners of Murder, Back to Back Mysteries, Back to Back.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Tom Steven appears as Darryl with forty seven acting credits.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Tom's last role on Hallmark was in North to Home
- 5:06Speaker 2: in twenty twenty two.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Teagan Vince plays Kurt's wife Cheryl. Teagan has sixty two
- 5:12Speaker 1: acting credits and has appeared on Hallmark before. But also
- 5:16Speaker 1: noteworthy is her role as Marsha Cross in the unauthorized
- 5:20Speaker 1: Melrose play story I Can See It That Red Hair, Harriet. Yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Marley Collins plays ill fated brandy Wine Justice for Marlee Collins.
- 5:31Speaker 2: She has thirty four acting credits, which includes The More
- 5:33Speaker 2: the Merrier and The Real West. She needs a much
- 5:37Speaker 2: more substantial role than brandy Wine Gone Too Soon.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Yes, let's take a quick break, chick, and we'll come
- 5:51Speaker 1: right back with our first impressions. Hey, Wendy, what is
- 5:54Speaker 1: your first impression of sugar and vice.
- 5:56Speaker 2: If someone calls nine to one one from the Lake
- 5:59Speaker 2: Eden Hotel, please make sure to say the entire name
- 6:02Speaker 2: of the Lake Eden Hotel and Spa, so emergency services
- 6:06Speaker 2: know exactly which Lake Eden Hotel and Spa you're referring.
- 6:09Speaker 1: To catch that at all. My first impression is, is
- 6:14Speaker 1: this Tannas Winston or the Halloween episode of Beverly Hills
- 6:17Speaker 1: nine two and oh season two? Oh my god, you
- 6:23Speaker 1: nailed it. Nailed it. I thank you. There wasn't fire
- 6:29Speaker 1: there and I couldn't put my finger on it. That
- 6:33Speaker 1: was it? Yay, that was it. What did you like
- 6:37Speaker 1: about this movie? Way? Okay?
- 6:40Speaker 2: I do think Alie Sweeney deserves some writing credit here.
- 6:44Speaker 2: I thought the dialogue in this movie was pretty sharp,
- 6:48Speaker 2: especially the conversations between Hannah and her sister and Hannah
- 6:52Speaker 2: and Lisa. They felt very natural and funny. The standout
- 6:56Speaker 2: line for me in this entire movie was when Lisa says, Hannah, Oh,
- 7:00Speaker 2: I never get to be around for this part, the
- 7:03Speaker 2: part where you find the body. It's the best I
- 7:05Speaker 2: thought of what I cackled?
- 7:08Speaker 1: We do? I love that sort of self aware humor.
- 7:13Speaker 1: It doesn't these movies don't usually do that. No, no, no,
- 7:16Speaker 1: and so I really appreciated that. I thought it was
- 7:19Speaker 1: very funny, especially because you and I have talked about
- 7:22Speaker 1: why would anybody go to Lake Eden? People die there
- 7:24Speaker 1: all the time, so this felt prescient. Definitely. I loved
- 7:29Speaker 1: the costuming for this movie. I think that's where the
- 7:32Speaker 1: bulk of the work went, honestly, was to the visuals
- 7:35Speaker 1: of this movie, the costuming and the party. Hannah's dress
- 7:38Speaker 1: did remind me of Donna Martin's Mermaid dress from that
- 7:42Speaker 1: memorable Halloween episode of nine or two and zero that
- 7:45Speaker 1: she can barely walk it and she does that little
- 7:47Speaker 1: wattle and just be I think carried in at one point. Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 1: But I thought her dress was beautiful, the little net
- 7:54Speaker 1: as the skirt like, I thought she looked great. I
- 7:56Speaker 1: loved her hair extensions, her wig, whatever was going on there.
- 8:00Speaker 1: She did have to keep hiking it up to be
- 8:02Speaker 1: able to walk. It was a touch too long, and
- 8:04Speaker 1: I was like, and she was like holding it by
- 8:05Speaker 1: the crotch a lot of the time. Oh, I didn't
- 8:07Speaker 1: notice that. Could we give her a bustle or something? Anyway? Yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 1: but I thought the costuming was nice. I really loved
- 8:13Speaker 1: Dolores's Queen of Heart's costume. I thought that was perfectly
- 8:17Speaker 1: on character for her on brand. I do have some
- 8:21Speaker 1: thoughts about the costume party as a whole that will
- 8:25Speaker 1: come a little bit later. But I did think the
- 8:27Speaker 1: costuming was fun. I liked Peter Benson popping up in
- 8:30Speaker 1: his heart, Like, what was going on with his costume?
- 8:35Speaker 1: Like he's wearing that heart blazer. I'm not really sure.
- 8:38Speaker 1: I'm like, who are you?
- 8:39Speaker 2: It was giving Valentine's Day? It wasn't giving like dressed
- 8:43Speaker 2: up as a character.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I was like, am I missing something? Are you
- 8:48Speaker 1: a I don't know what he was. I don't know,
- 8:50Speaker 1: but uh. I did like the appearance of Peter Benson
- 8:53Speaker 1: as like the loudmouth partygoer. Loved it too. I was like,
- 8:56Speaker 1: there you are, that's right.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I was excited about him mostly because like that he was.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Like complaining and then he was dancing. I did you know?
- 9:07Speaker 2: I just enjoyed. I enjoy seeing him put in these movies.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yet me too put himself in these movies. Circling back
- 9:15Speaker 2: to Dolores, I think Delris says the absolute most. I
- 9:18Speaker 2: know people don't love the character Delores, but listen if
- 9:21Speaker 2: Barbara Nevin wants to dial it to eleven.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I say, let her.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I just love the confidence, I love her drama. I
- 9:28Speaker 2: love just the silliness of her character. Give me kookie
- 9:33Speaker 2: mom energy.
- 9:34Speaker 1: And I love that the sheriff calls her Lolo Lo.
- 9:37Speaker 1: I noticed that too. Lolo was so cute. I also
- 9:41Speaker 1: love her iconic line she pops into the cookie jar.
- 9:44Speaker 1: The next morning and Hannah and Lisa are hanging by
- 9:47Speaker 1: a thread after their long night of partying, and she goes,
- 9:50Speaker 1: that was nothing. The eighties, those were long nights, and
- 9:53Speaker 1: I thought, wow, that was funny. I love that too.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Also a note, I did enjoy that Hannah was wearing
- 10:01Speaker 2: tennis shoes under her Mermaid costume. Yeah, very relatable, especially
- 10:06Speaker 2: if you're working the damn event and you're wearing a costume.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Huh, wear a tennis shoe.
- 10:11Speaker 2: But the fact that Dolores was like so disgusted by
- 10:15Speaker 2: it was hilarious to me.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Very funny. Okay, a couple of little things. I liked
- 10:20Speaker 1: the character of Bobby. I know that he was per
- 10:24Speaker 1: your notes in a previous movie. I had forgotten that.
- 10:27Speaker 1: I apologize to mister Lee, but I do hope we
- 10:30Speaker 1: see him again, particularly since we have some characters that
- 10:34Speaker 1: seem to have exited the building, whereas Norman. We'll talk
- 10:36Speaker 1: about it. But also, like the sisters come in and out,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I think the town of Lake Eydon could use some
- 10:41Speaker 1: fresh blood unintended there. I thought he was a nice,
- 10:46Speaker 1: fun energy in addition to this cast, he was a
- 10:49Speaker 1: nice partner for Hannah. I'd like to see more of him.
- 10:53Speaker 1: But he's probably not gonna last long at the Lake
- 10:55Speaker 1: Eydon in and swall because that place is doomed? Is it?
- 10:59Speaker 1: Is it doomed? Would you stay there if somebody was?
- 11:01Speaker 2: I mean, I'm sure we've stayed at a hotel before
- 11:03Speaker 2: that somebody's actually no, I've stayed at a hotel that
- 11:05Speaker 2: somebody's died before.
- 11:06Speaker 1: So yeah, but the staff was doing the murdering. Yeah,
- 11:11Speaker 1: that's kind of a problem.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Can finish it, finish up here likes and then talk wishes,
- 11:16Speaker 2: And then we're gonna talk wishes because I have some questions.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Well, I don't really know if this is a like
- 11:21Speaker 1: or not. It's not something I didn't like. It's just
- 11:23Speaker 1: something I noticed and I wonder I guess it could
- 11:25Speaker 1: be did to see that whatever here we are and
- 11:27Speaker 1: the scene where Dolores is leading the conga line. Did
- 11:30Speaker 1: it give hocus pocus? The party guests are all possessed
- 11:33Speaker 1: when they dance all night long. I don't get that reference.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I've never seen hocus Pocus. I maybe have started in
- 11:38Speaker 1: them fallen asleep. Yeah, well, all the parents in town
- 11:42Speaker 1: are at this Halloween party and then at some point
- 11:45Speaker 1: the witches show up and they curse them, and so
- 11:48Speaker 1: the kids like try and get the parents to help,
- 11:49Speaker 1: and the parents they're just like dancing and dancing and dancing.
- 11:51Speaker 1: They have no idea what's going on. Anyways, it gave
- 11:54Speaker 1: me those vibes. That's not landing for you. If it
- 11:56Speaker 1: landed for you, the listener, let me know.
- 11:59Speaker 2: You know what I thought about in that moment was
- 12:04Speaker 2: would I be doing a conga line if the like
- 12:07Speaker 2: lights went out and everybody's like you adds basically stay
- 12:11Speaker 2: in this room, and like I know, Dolores is doing
- 12:14Speaker 2: everything she can to like keep everybody engaged.
- 12:16Speaker 1: But would I join a congo line?
- 12:19Speaker 2: I don't think so, unless I was really drinking a
- 12:22Speaker 2: lot of cookies and milk. If you know what I
- 12:24Speaker 2: am saying here, I mean, I don't think I would
- 12:27Speaker 2: join a congo line in the best of circumstances.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I don't like fun don't I don't like the illusion
- 12:34Speaker 1: that I put on a shirt. I don't like putting
- 12:38Speaker 1: myself in any position that could make me look ridiculous. Question, Yeah,
- 12:42Speaker 1: have you done like the macarena at a wedding or
- 12:46Speaker 1: the like electric slide? Okay? I feel like the electric
- 12:49Speaker 1: slide is a little bit different. Why I don't know? Okay,
- 12:55Speaker 1: but at least if yes, I have done the electric slide?
- 12:58Speaker 1: Have I done the Makarina? Not in the last one?
- 13:01Speaker 1: Oh god, no, give me a break. Chicken Dance? No? No,
- 13:08Speaker 1: I know I'm no funny either. We had a table
- 13:12Speaker 1: on a lot with our wedding DJ. We had like
- 13:14Speaker 1: a long list of do not play these songs? And
- 13:16Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure the Chicken Dance was on there. No, Yeah,
- 13:20Speaker 1: no y m c A. Although although I would do
- 13:25Speaker 1: a y M c A probably who can? Who can resist?
- 13:28Speaker 2: Okay, let's talk wishes. The mystery for me a little complicated. Yeah,
- 13:37Speaker 2: I can't even tell you. I think it's Daryl who
- 13:40Speaker 2: was the bad guy?
- 13:41Speaker 1: Yes, okay, First of all, when he chased them with
- 13:44Speaker 1: a gun, that wasn't the.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Well, but sometimes like you know, okay, clock Darryl immediately
- 13:49Speaker 2: like his vibes were way off from the very sure.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I was like, you're the bad dude, Like, did I
- 13:53Speaker 1: solve it?
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 13:54Speaker 1: And then he like disappears. That's always that's that's a
- 13:57Speaker 1: dead giveaway. If we meet someone and then we don't
- 13:59Speaker 1: see them from a long time. Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:02Speaker 2: But like with the time cards and the notes and
- 14:05Speaker 2: the mispromotions and the staff drama, I was like, these
- 14:08Speaker 2: clothes are just washing over me. I don't even care.
- 14:13Speaker 2: It got too tangled up for me.
- 14:16Speaker 1: My biggest problem with the mystery is they leaned really
- 14:19Speaker 1: hard on this being a locked room mystery, and then
- 14:22Speaker 1: they gave it up. They had to let everybody out,
- 14:26Speaker 1: So we have all this build up. Got to solve it.
- 14:28Speaker 1: We have to create this pretense that the roads are
- 14:30Speaker 1: closed and keep them closed for longer than we should
- 14:32Speaker 1: and do the conga and all of this. Yeah, and
- 14:34Speaker 1: then the party ends and they said everyone on their way,
- 14:36Speaker 1: and they had not solved this mystery. That is my
- 14:38Speaker 1: biggest problem is the investigation was not great.
- 14:44Speaker 2: No, they have a dead body in a room, they
- 14:47Speaker 2: lock this, they secure the room right, and then then
- 14:52Speaker 2: they're just like letting everybody, no, don't you just like
- 14:55Speaker 2: shut that shit down and like start interviewing everybody who's
- 14:59Speaker 2: at the party.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Like you need to like bring in a row folding chair,
- 15:02Speaker 1: said everybody the hell down, and everybody needs to be
- 15:04Speaker 1: questioned and released once they've been cleared. It was a mess.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I was like, is the sheriff not good at his job?
- 15:12Speaker 1: What was weird to me is they're like, well, we
- 15:14Speaker 1: don't want to create panic, but the sheriff and Chad
- 15:18Speaker 1: were the ones who needed to be like, well, Chad's
- 15:21Speaker 1: a DA, right, yes, why is the DA doing all
- 15:25Speaker 1: of this investigating in this episode? Shouldn't be like as
- 15:29Speaker 1: much as Hannah shouldn't be right. They're just like they've
- 15:31Speaker 1: fully given up on the fact that Hannah is not
- 15:34Speaker 1: a detective, and they're like, yeah, you go help us
- 15:36Speaker 1: out with that. Yeah. Look, the sheriff and the DA
- 15:39Speaker 1: do not have any obligation to the owner of the
- 15:42Speaker 1: lake eaten inan SPA. Do not turn this into a
- 15:46Speaker 1: panic situation, Like I understand that that's not what you
- 15:50Speaker 1: want on your grand opening, grand reopening moment. Too bad,
- 15:55Speaker 1: We've had a murder. Party's over now. I got to
- 15:57Speaker 1: conduct some business well, And isn't the safety of the
- 16:01Speaker 1: public the utmost important? And they just keep theirs off
- 16:05Speaker 1: on their own. They're like, Hannah, you go do this.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I'm like, you're gonna let her walk the halls by
- 16:08Speaker 1: our side? What are we doing?
- 16:09Speaker 2: Yeah? I didn't quite understand that. We don't want to
- 16:11Speaker 2: create panic, but we're gonna let a murderer just be
- 16:14Speaker 2: amongst us in the building.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Here, because every I'm trying to think of like another
- 16:20Speaker 1: locked room mystery. And did you watch the show The
- 16:23Speaker 1: Residence on Netflix last year? And I don't think so.
- 16:26Speaker 1: It takes place in the White House and a staff
- 16:28Speaker 1: member is murdered, and I don't think it's a secret
- 16:31Speaker 1: that this person has been murdered, but they're questioning all
- 16:33Speaker 1: of these people, and it's kind of a similar situation.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I think the idea that they were keeping the murder
- 16:37Speaker 1: a secret was a mistake. That's all. That's not all.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I got more.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I got some more too. Where the freak was Norman?
- 16:46Speaker 2: You're telling me that this huge party at the Lake
- 16:49Speaker 2: Eden Hotel and spot the social event of the year,
- 16:53Speaker 2: and the town dentist Norman simply not there, not even mentioned,
- 16:57Speaker 2: not even mentioned at this point. I'm convinced they bring
- 17:02Speaker 2: Norman in as a killer just to get Hannah's attention.
- 17:05Speaker 1: I mean, sister Michelle is basically an afterthought in this
- 17:07Speaker 1: movie as well. Totally she's here, but I would have
- 17:12Speaker 1: loved to see her and Hannah working together. They have
- 17:14Speaker 1: a fun line and they show up at Lolo's house
- 17:17Speaker 1: and the sheriff's leaving. They're like, well, I don't like
- 17:18Speaker 1: that at all. Great, but let's dig into that a
- 17:21Speaker 1: little bit more. I think so too. Can we talk
- 17:25Speaker 1: about Chad. Let's talk about Chad now? I love me
- 17:31Speaker 1: some Wowie's Auie. I love Chad as Hannah's love interest,
- 17:34Speaker 1: but I needed to see them spend more time together.
- 17:37Speaker 1: If these two non detectives are going to be detecting
- 17:40Speaker 1: the mystery, maybe they could work together. Also, their relationship
- 17:45Speaker 1: appears to be in a good place, although it still
- 17:48Speaker 1: appears to be in its newest stages. Again, timeline is
- 17:52Speaker 1: weird because it's been months in real time, but who
- 17:54Speaker 1: knows how long it's been. She's still acting like surprised
- 17:58Speaker 1: when he kisses her. Right, they're not into that settled
- 18:01Speaker 1: relationship place, but I need to see some sort of
- 18:04Speaker 1: plot points surrounding their relationship. There wasn't a lot of
- 18:08Speaker 1: conflict outside of the murder itself, right, and so I'm
- 18:13Speaker 1: gonna need somebody to be working through something. It doesn't
- 18:16Speaker 1: need to be bad. They could be together, they can
- 18:18Speaker 1: be endgame, but I needed something else to be happening
- 18:22Speaker 1: in the town of Lake Eden.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Well that is really thoughtful commentary. Uh huh, my notes
- 18:27Speaker 2: say I need more electricity here. Oh sure, I love
- 18:33Speaker 2: you know. I'm real sweet on Victor Webster and especially
- 18:38Speaker 2: joining this cast.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I just like his male energy.
- 18:45Speaker 2: But I agree it gets a little old with the
- 18:47Speaker 2: like she's surprised, like that he kissed her, she's seen
- 18:53Speaker 2: by him.
- 18:54Speaker 1: It's giving like second date energy. Yes, and I think
- 19:00Speaker 1: back to Amy and Travis from Mystery one on one
- 19:02Speaker 1: that was like you could feel the sexual tension through
- 19:08Speaker 1: the TV. Right, I need that, and we know Victor
- 19:13Speaker 1: Webster can bring that. I know. So I watch Working Moms, y'all.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I need some watch Working Moms.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I need something else, But I think your commentary
- 19:23Speaker 2: is spot on. I need some sort of like outside force.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I don't something, Yes, something that's gonna move this forward
- 19:32Speaker 2: some Are you ready for digit see that I am.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I have a question. Tell me. I actually googled this
- 19:40Speaker 1: question and it was is there a difference between a
- 19:42Speaker 1: costume party and a masquerade ball? And in fact there is.
- 19:45Speaker 1: And to me it seemed like this isn't a DIGITU that.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I guess it's a wish. I don't really know what's
- 19:49Speaker 1: happening here, but to me, it seemed like they couldn't
- 19:51Speaker 1: decide which was which in this movie because you got
- 19:53Speaker 1: some people in costume, some people in masks. Yeah, just
- 19:56Speaker 1: everything all at once and come in disguise of some sort.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Yeah, because you're right, it was kind of costume. It
- 20:02Speaker 2: was costume, like Lisa was dressed up as Dorothy and
- 20:06Speaker 2: we have had.
- 20:06Speaker 1: As a mermaid, and then you have some people in
- 20:08Speaker 1: like dresses and masks very different by and on the
- 20:11Speaker 1: movie poster they the cookies are the masquerade and they
- 20:14Speaker 1: made those math cookie masks at the party. I gotta
- 20:17Speaker 1: talk about the cookies. I got a question about too.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Okay, First, my first problem with the cookies is our
- 20:22Speaker 2: cookies the only thing to eat at this party. That's
- 20:25Speaker 2: terrible food for I don't party. So I didn't see
- 20:30Speaker 2: a past order either. I know no, no, no, But
- 20:34Speaker 2: are they I seen cookies?
- 20:36Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I have so many issues with the cookies,
- 20:38Speaker 1: going back to when Darryl comes to the cookie jar
- 20:43Speaker 1: and Hannah's like, I have some ideas and he picks three.
- 20:45Speaker 1: She's like three. Three doesn't seem like a crazy number
- 20:48Speaker 1: of cookies to have in an event like a three varieties. Sure,
- 20:52Speaker 1: that doesn't seem like a lot to me. She They
- 20:54Speaker 1: were like, how are you gonna do three? And I
- 20:56Speaker 1: was like, you're a professional baker. This literally is your
- 20:58Speaker 1: full time job. Stop solving murders too. Why are they
- 21:01Speaker 1: baking them on site? They would never in one million
- 21:04Speaker 1: years have done that. They show them with the sugar
- 21:07Speaker 1: cookies on the tray, then we see the iced sugar cookies.
- 21:11Speaker 1: There is no chance they are icing these sugar cookies.
- 21:14Speaker 1: First of all, they take a full day to set
- 21:16Speaker 1: that icing. Second of all, it probably takes fifteen minutes
- 21:19Speaker 1: per cookie to ice those. So what are we doing?
- 21:23Speaker 1: We are not baking those? Oh, let me just go
- 21:25Speaker 1: through those in the oven and no, no.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Yeah, you tell me they're not doing like a chocolate
- 21:30Speaker 2: chip cookie. First of all, you bake cookies that you
- 21:33Speaker 2: can bake cookies ahead of time. This is not a
- 21:35Speaker 2: stuffed mushroom coming out of the oven that needs to
- 21:37Speaker 2: be hot.
- 21:38Speaker 1: And needed to be baked. She didn't need to be
- 21:40Speaker 1: working at the event period. Cookies need to cool. You
- 21:42Speaker 1: wouldn't make fresh baked cookies anyway. I think cookies at
- 21:46Speaker 1: a party like this is weird. And they explained it.
- 21:51Speaker 1: They were like they wanted people to be like up
- 21:52Speaker 1: and around, so it's easier to eat a cookie than
- 21:54Speaker 1: some sort of like you need a fork situation. I mean,
- 21:57Speaker 1: fine cookies are a perfectly fine dessert. It's fine, but
- 22:01Speaker 1: you wouldn't be making them on side. I agree. And
- 22:04Speaker 1: she's a she's a member of the town, she's a
- 22:07Speaker 1: she owns a very prominent town business. They didn't need
- 22:11Speaker 1: to contrive a reason for her to be there, right,
- 22:15Speaker 1: All these people are there, go to the opening, Your
- 22:17Speaker 1: cookies are there, your special coffee blend is there. You
- 22:20Speaker 1: have a reason to be there. The end, people drink
- 22:25Speaker 1: coffee at this party, evidently coffee and cookies. It's a rager.
- 22:33Speaker 1: That's my type of rager. But I have a couple
- 22:39Speaker 1: digit see that.
- 22:41Speaker 2: The danccene dip moment when Chad dips Hannah during their
- 22:46Speaker 2: dance scene.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's a lot of dec latage for Hallmark.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Oh, I just was I'm not mad about it. I
- 22:56Speaker 2: just was like, Wow, didn't see that coming. You must
- 23:00Speaker 2: not have cloth that he like, I didn't. You're backward
- 23:03Speaker 2: and you know she's wearing the sort of that that
- 23:05Speaker 2: Mermaid's sweet Heart neckline.
- 23:07Speaker 1: So it just was a lot of like yeah, and
- 23:09Speaker 1: all she has is like a clear strap holding it up.
- 23:12Speaker 2: It's just all off And I don't care. But I
- 23:16Speaker 2: just was like, Wow, Peter Benson did something here my
- 23:20Speaker 2: other did you see that? It's kind of a wish
- 23:22Speaker 2: kind of a question. Did the cheating husband's storyline just disappear?
- 23:27Speaker 2: The whole subplot where Kurt's wife comes to Hannah and
- 23:30Speaker 2: Dolores and she's like they were like a little bit
- 23:34Speaker 2: afraid of her and the alley and she's like asking
- 23:37Speaker 2: for help for her cheating husband, and then like did
- 23:40Speaker 2: that ever get wrapped up? Did anything ever happen there?
- 23:44Speaker 1: I mean, he's he gets exonerated as the killer, so
- 23:47Speaker 1: I suppose there's that.
- 23:48Speaker 2: But he still was a cheater and that's what the
- 23:50Speaker 2: wife was pissed off about. Yeah, and I did like that.
- 23:55Speaker 2: She's like, I wouldn't have killed her, I would have
- 23:56Speaker 2: killed him, like no, right, But I was like, please,
- 24:01Speaker 2: I hope this continues into like the next movie, but
- 24:06Speaker 2: I doubt it's going to.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I just was like, no, I know, why why? Why? Right?
- 24:12Speaker 1: It was unfinished, unfinished, right? Anything else? That's all I got. Hey,
- 24:18Speaker 1: what did you rate, Sugar Advice? I gave it three stars?
