  Speaker 2: just learning more and more and more about it. You know,

  Speaker 2: I've always known that forgiveness is for you, not so

  Speaker 2: much the other person. Bishop Jake said it best one time.

  Speaker 2: He say, not forgiving a person, it's like you drinking

  Speaker 2: a poison hoping that they die. And that's really what

  Speaker 2: it is when you forgive somebody. Well, first of all,

  Speaker 2: let me start with when you don't forgive somebody. Let
• 0:42
  Speaker 2: me tell you what happens when you don't forgive a person.

  Speaker 2: Every time they name come up, it stirs up something

  Speaker 2: in you, don't it. Every time you hear they name mention,

  Speaker 2: it does something to you. Every time you run across

  Speaker 2: a picture, it brings something, don't it. Every time you

  Speaker 2: hear another story about this person, blah blah blah, every

  Speaker 2: time you hear some news about them, every time you

  Speaker 2: hear they said something else about you, It just keeps

  Speaker 2: on bringing stuff up. Even when you sitting around on
• 1:16
  Speaker 2: your own. You imagine what you gonna say to them

  Speaker 2: when you see them? Oh? I know you do, because
• 1:26
  Speaker 2: I've been through it the exact same way, oh man.

  Speaker 2: Especially man, when somebody somebody do something to you that

  Speaker 2: ain't right and you know it ain't right. That's hard, man.

  Speaker 2: When somebody's sitting around lying on you and you know

  Speaker 2: the truth, but you, for whatever the reason, can't defend

  Speaker 2: yourself or wasn't there, wasn't available, or nobody asked you

  Speaker 2: do it to you. Here's the one that really hurts

  Speaker 2: your feelings. Have you ever had somebody do something to

  Speaker 2: you publicly, then see you privately, you know, do something

  Speaker 2: to you down on your job or something like that,

  Speaker 2: or at your little club or your bowling night, and

  Speaker 2: then privately they apologize to you and you say okay,

  Speaker 2: And then a little while later, they do the exact

  Speaker 2: same thing again. They back out in public, running their mouth.

  Speaker 2: You gonna wait a minute, man, I know the truth

  Speaker 2: about you. I really know when you see me face

  Speaker 2: to face, you a coward. I know that about you.

  Speaker 2: But soon as you get in front of somebody, soon

  Speaker 2: as the spotlight on you, here you come with a

  Speaker 2: brand new Has that ever happened to you? Yes, it has.

  Speaker 2: Somebody saying something to you down at the church, talked

  Speaker 2: about you. Then you confronted them. Forgive me, sister, forgive

  Speaker 2: me brother, and you do it. And then a little

  Speaker 2: later on they do it again. Okay, cool, I got

  Speaker 2: all that you gotta forgive them? Oh no, no, Steve,

  Speaker 2: I'm gonna tighten them up. No, man, let me tell

  Speaker 2: you what you're doing. You're doing the same thing I

  Speaker 2: was doing to myself. You wasting energy because guess what,

  Speaker 2: what did it really change? The stuff they said about you?

  Speaker 2: What did it really change? You've been moving on and

  Speaker 2: rolling on and just going on about your day. You

  Speaker 2: really man ain't lost a step because of that that rumor,

  Speaker 2: that untruth, that falsehood. You really didn't lose a step

  Speaker 2: at all. But you keep prohibiting the next step, because

  Speaker 2: you won't let go of something somebody did to you.

  Speaker 2: The Lord's prayer says, forgive us our trust passes as

  Speaker 2: we forgive those who trustpass against us, because we gonna
• 4:25
  Speaker 2: make a mistake too. Now it may not be that one,

  Speaker 2: but we're gonna have to go to God for something. Now,
• 4:30
  Speaker 2: God gonna reward us and give us something the same
• 4:34
  Speaker 2: way we give it out to other people. Plus, let

  Speaker 2: me tell you what I really had to learn about it.

  Speaker 2: When you don't forgive a person, you're blocking your blessings.

  Speaker 2: You blocking your blessings. A woman, an old woman that

  Speaker 2: I know who I just happened to be talking to

  Speaker 2: a relative. As she says, Steve, I'm so proud of

  Speaker 2: you you. I have watched you, I have watched God

  Speaker 2: with you into the new level he gonna take you to.

  Speaker 2: In order to get to the next level, you gotta

  Speaker 2: let some stuff go to reach your full orbit in life.

  Speaker 2: You can't carry all the gas tanks. Some of them

  Speaker 2: gas tanks is empty and out of gas. They got

  Speaker 2: to fall off so the ship can get into full orbit.

  Speaker 2: Let it go so God can move you forward. That's

  Speaker 2: the best thing I've learned about forgiveness. And it's really

  Speaker 2: for you because that person right there really ain't about

  Speaker 2: lotted now. They really ain't, So why would you allow

  Speaker 2: them to affect you that way? Just think about it, y'all.
