- 1:05Speaker 1: Hello friend, chaplain Terry Warner here.
- 1:09Speaker 1: This podcast will be season 2025, episode 27.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It will air around July 8th, july 9th 2025.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I got behind on schedule.
- 1:25Speaker 1: You know I was thinking, I know dangerous.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Anyway, still, I was thinking I try to impress Christ and try to do a good job for Jesus and try to be a good Christian, and that involves taking on the devil and fighting the devil and resisting the devil and he'll flee from me.
- 1:47Speaker 1: But I find that most of us, if you're like me, most of us are too active in fighting the devil and not active enough in promoting the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Everything he did, he did for us, lord Jesus Christ.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Everything he did, he did for us.
- 2:04Speaker 1: We could not even handle the devil.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Fight the devil, give, you know, discredit to the devil, had Christ not come along and saved us.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Adam in the Garden of Eden, you know, gave the least of the earth over to the devil.
- 2:24Speaker 1: He took his responsibility and he got rid of it.
- 2:28Speaker 1: He abdicated it to the devil.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Then it took the Son of God, coming down from heaven, coming down to our level, coming in the form of a man, but yet still God walking on this earth and defeating the devil using the Abrahamic covenant.
- 2:45Speaker 1: He did not defeat the devil on his own power and own authority as to his position in Christ.
- 2:52Speaker 1: He left that behind in heaven and he came to earth.
- 2:55Speaker 1: But I digress.
- 2:56Speaker 1: So what I'm saying today is we need to shift our focus from fighting the devil to promoting Jesus Christ.
- 3:05Speaker 1: The kingdom of God is within you.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It's within you.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Now let's take a little bit of a look at something.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I'm in 1 Corinthians and I'm going to start with 1 Corinthians 1, 1 Corinthians 4.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I always thank God for you, because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus, for in him you have been enriched in every way, in all your speaking and in all your knowledge, because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Therefore, you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed, he will keep you strong into the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of the Lord Jesus Christ, god who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Our Lord is faithful.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Jesus died, was buried, rose from the grave and is seated at the right hand of the Father, and that work is finished.
- 4:21Speaker 1: The redemption work of God is finished.
- 4:25Speaker 1: God has reconciled himself to the world.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Get a hold of that.
- 4:30Speaker 1: God has reconciled himself to the world.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Jesus Christ has made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption.
- 4:40Speaker 1: 2 Corinthians, 5.21.
- 4:42Speaker 1: All right, now let's go here to uh, chapter two.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I'm in first corinthians, chapter two.
- 4:51Speaker 1: When I come to you, brothers, I did not come with elegance or superior wisdom as I proclaim to you the testimony about god, for I received, I resolved to know, hang on, for I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I came to you in weakness and fear and with much trembling.
- 5:21Speaker 1: My message and my preaching were all not with wise and pervasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power.
- 5:31Speaker 1: But with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom but on God's power.
- 5:38Speaker 1: In other words, paul didn't come to them with all this doctor's degrees and training and everything else.
- 5:47Speaker 1: And so many of us, we read the Word, we read the Word, we read the Word and what do we do?
- 5:53Speaker 1: We go attack the devil and consequently, jesus is left out in the cold again.
- 6:00Speaker 1: And we're reading the word and we read the word every day.
- 6:02Speaker 1: We read the word every day.
- 6:04Speaker 1: We read the word every day, but we don't see the power in our lives or the spiritual awakening that we should see.
- 6:14Speaker 1: We are trudging along the heat and the cold.
- 6:17Speaker 1: At the end of the road there's God.
- 6:22Speaker 1: That's not what the Bible teaches.
- 6:23Speaker 1: That's not what it says.
- 6:25Speaker 1: It says we are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ.
- 6:29Speaker 1: It says I can do all things through Jesus Christ.
- 6:32Speaker 1: It says in him I live and move and have my being in Jesus Christ.
- 6:33Speaker 1: It says I can do all things through Jesus Christ.
- 6:34Speaker 1: It says in him I live and move and have my being in Jesus Christ.
- 6:36Speaker 1: It says let this mind be in you, which was in Christ Jesus.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Let his mind, let Christ's mind be in you.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Who was in Christ Jesus.
- 6:52Speaker 1: We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
- 7:02Speaker 1: No, we speak of God's secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.
- 7:13Speaker 1: None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord's glory.
- 7:19Speaker 1: However, as it is written, no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him, but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
- 7:36Speaker 1: The Spirit searches all the things, even the deep things of God, for who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him?
- 7:48Speaker 1: In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
- 7:53Speaker 1: We have not received the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
- 8:03Speaker 1: This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truth and spiritual words.
- 8:15Speaker 1: The man without the Spirit does not accept these things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
- 8:28Speaker 1: The spirit.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment, for who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?
- 8:40Speaker 1: But we have the mind of Christ.
- 8:44Speaker 1: So once you give your heart to Jesus Christ, his wisdom, his righteousness, his sanctification, his redemption, complete awe resides inside you.
- 8:56Speaker 1: And what do we do?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Go around trying to say the right things at the right time to get the Lord to kick the devil out of our lives.
- 9:04Speaker 1: We're missing the point.
- 9:06Speaker 1: We need to shift our focus.
- 9:08Speaker 1: We have that power already within us.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Christ's work would not have been complete in redemption, would not be complete and he could not have sat down on the right hand of the Father after raising from the dead, because the work wouldn't be finished.
- 9:23Speaker 1: He's not doing anything.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Why is he not doing anything?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Because he's given us the power to do it.
- 9:30Speaker 1: We have the lease on this earth.
- 9:32Speaker 1: This earth belongs to the Christian.
- 9:34Speaker 1: And who is the Christian?
- 9:37Speaker 1: It's the body of Christ, jesus being the head.
- 9:41Speaker 1: If he's the head, we're the tongue, we're the feet, we're the hands, we're the sight.
- 9:47Speaker 1: You know, we're the smell, the taste.
- 9:50Speaker 1: We are the body of Christ on this earth.
- 9:54Speaker 1: It's time we started acting like it.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Now let me hit one more point before I go.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Everything you say, especially your words, they're containers.
- 10:06Speaker 1: They carry thoughts, pictures, desires, you know, anger.
- 10:12Speaker 1: They carry all kinds of things, but rest assured, every one of them is a seed.
- 10:18Speaker 1: How did the world get formed by God?
- 10:22Speaker 1: How did he do it?
- 10:23Speaker 1: By speaking the word.
- 10:25Speaker 1: How do we get our lives changed?
- 10:27Speaker 1: By God?
- 10:29Speaker 1: By speaking the word of God, by God, by speaking the word of God.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Whatever you plant in that ground, in the earth, is going to grow up and become that plant.
- 10:39Speaker 1: If you plant anger, you're going to grow up and become angry.
- 10:43Speaker 1: If you plant lies, you're going to grow up and become a liar.
- 10:47Speaker 1: If you plant I don't know some other stuff, that just isn't good.
- 10:52Speaker 1: No matter what you plant Now, if you plant compassion, you're going to be compassionate.
- 10:58Speaker 1: If you plant love, you're going to be lovely.
- 11:01Speaker 1: If you plant wisdom, you've got the mind of Christ.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Don't plant wisdom and then give little earthly smart sayings that sound good but don't motivate the spirit.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Speak the word of God.
- 11:16Speaker 1: Speak something that will motivate the spirit.
- 11:18Speaker 1: The man that gave you that smart saying might not have been a Christian, and you don't want to go around planting his seeds for him.
- 11:27Speaker 1: So you speak to what God says.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Say what God says.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Do what God says.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Say what God says.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Do what God does.
- 11:33Speaker 1: You know, for a long time I always read the Bible as a spectator, and then one day the Holy Spirit said you know, terry, you need to change your focus, change your imagination, change that mindset and when you see jesus teaching, you need to see yourself teaching.
- 11:56Speaker 1: That's what I am.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I'm a teacher.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I was called to be a teacher.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I was called to be some other things, but mainly I was called to be a teacher.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And so I saw myself teaching.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Then the lord said terry, you need the time to move up again.
- 12:12Speaker 1: It's time for a promotion.
- 12:14Speaker 1: You need to see yourself bringing about the miracles in people's lives.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I don't do it.
- 12:20Speaker 1: It's the spirit within me that does it.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I'm not doing this on my own power.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Golly, I couldn't create an anchoring, much less say it correctly.
- 12:31Speaker 1: You know everything.
- 12:35Speaker 1: You say out of the abundance of the heart.
- 12:37Speaker 1: The mouth speaks Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks Well, a lot of times, out of the abundance of the heart, the mind imagines and it says cast down imaginations, only keep the word of God in that imagination.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Now I'll give you an example.
- 12:56Speaker 1: I'm driving down the road and some idiot cuts me off in traffic.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I used to shake my fist and yell at him till a car passed us one time and my granddaughter shook her fist and yelled at him.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And then it dawned on me I was planting seeds without even realizing it.
- 13:13Speaker 1: So now, when somebody passes me and cuts me off in traffic, I pray for them that they get where they're going to go safely Without a ticket.
- 13:23Speaker 1: They get there in tune.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I don't anger or display anger or impatience with them.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Somebody's sitting at the red light that turns green.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I don't blow the horn if they don't go, I just sit there.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I will eventually if I have to, but I pray for them and usually praying for them gets them going.
- 13:48Speaker 1: And you know, I've had people turn around and look at me.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I think it's since something was going on, but I couldn't quite put your finger on it.
- 13:55Speaker 1: You may be the prayer that person needs.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Start acting like Jesus would act.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Start walking like Jesus would walk.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Start talking like Jesus would talk.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Start doing miracles, like Jesus would do miracles.
- 14:10Speaker 1: It's not you, it's the Spirit of God inside you.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I have been crucified with Christ.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Nevertheless, I live by Christ living in me, my hope and glory.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Praise the Lord.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Praise the Lord.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Praise the Lord.
- 14:27Speaker 1: Be careful of the words you speak.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Make them nice and make them sweet, for tomorrow you just may have to eat those words, the words you speak.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Make them nice and make them sweet, for tomorrow you just may have to eat those words.
- 14:44Speaker 1: All right, you have a good day.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I enjoyed this podcast today.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Become God inside-minded.
- 14:48Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Read 1 Corinthians, chapters 1 and 2.
- 14:54Speaker 1: And then jump over in Colossians and Ephesians and find out what you can do, since Christ rose from the dead and conquered everything and put all things under your feet.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Then, by golly, walk as Christ would walk, and let's trample the devil down in the dust.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Jesus is my Lord and Savior.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Praise the Lord.
- 15:15Speaker 1: The Lord bless you and keep you.
- 15:18Speaker 1: The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious unto you.
- 15:21Speaker 1: The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace in your going out, in your coming in, in your lying down, in your rising up, in your laughter, in your joy, in your tears, in every way that you can imagine, in your joy, in your tears, in every way that you can imagine.
- 15:39Speaker 1: May the Lord, jesus Christ, give you love and compassion and tender heartedness toward others, just as you have received it from him.
- 15:44Speaker 1: You have a blessed day In Jesus' name Amen.
