- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: howgrel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day. If you'd become the
- 0:24Speaker 1: howgrel energy you want to attract. Hello you guys, welcome
- 0:28Speaker 1: back to another episode. I unfortunately am very sick. I
- 0:34Speaker 1: feel like I definitely haven't looked sick on my socials,
- 0:37Speaker 1: but I have been sick these past few days. I
- 0:40Speaker 1: think with the weather changing and we just had a
- 0:43Speaker 1: really busy October, I think there was a few factors
- 0:46Speaker 1: that kind of came into play. So that's I guess
- 0:48Speaker 1: one con of going into fall is that sometimes it's
- 0:52Speaker 1: just the time of the year of expecting to get
- 0:55Speaker 1: a cold potentially. So yeah, it's been a rough few
- 1:00Speaker 1: days just because you know, I have a sore throat,
- 1:04Speaker 1: a runny nose, headaches, no energy, all that. Like, I've
- 1:08Speaker 1: really just been trying to force my body to relax.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I've been doing pilates classes, but haven't been to spin
- 1:14Speaker 1: co and yeah, just kind of taking things slow here.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I've been trying to go on walks and just kind
- 1:20Speaker 1: of get outside a bit, and yeah, so it's been
- 1:24Speaker 1: an interesting past few days, but that's okay. I'm trying
- 1:27Speaker 1: to stay positive. I am feeling a lot better today,
- 1:29Speaker 1: which is good. So yeah, I've just been trying to
- 1:31Speaker 1: rest and I feel like that's always hard for me
- 1:33Speaker 1: because I feel like I'm always that kind of person
- 1:35Speaker 1: where I'm always on the go, wanting to get work
- 1:38Speaker 1: done all that, and I've kind of had to tell
- 1:40Speaker 1: my body to relax and not push it too much.
- 1:44Speaker 1: But anyways, today is such a weird day because it
- 1:47Speaker 1: is literally twenty two degrees out twenty two degrees, which
- 1:50Speaker 1: is so crazy because usually in October almost November, I
- 1:54Speaker 1: don't think it's ever ever ever been this warm in Ottawa,
- 1:58Speaker 1: Like usually it's about ten to like twelve degrees, So
- 2:02Speaker 1: the fact that it's twenty two today is mind blowing
- 2:04Speaker 1: to me. And then tomorrow it's supposed to be twenty one,
- 2:06Speaker 1: and the following day it's supposed.
- 2:08Speaker 2: To be eight degrees.
- 2:09Speaker 1: So I don't really understand what's going on with our weather.
- 2:12Speaker 1: It's like warm for a few days, then dramatically goes
- 2:15Speaker 1: to cold, and then next week it's gonna be seventeen
- 2:18Speaker 1: and then the following day, it's gonna.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Be like ten.
- 2:20Speaker 1: It's a very weird weather pattern that's going on, but
- 2:23Speaker 1: I'm not complaining with twenty two degrees. Let me tell you,
- 2:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna be going on a nice long walk today,
- 2:27Speaker 1: so I'm.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Excited about that.
- 2:29Speaker 1: But I hope you guys are having an amazing week
- 2:31Speaker 1: so far. I really wanted to make this episode about
- 2:34Speaker 1: some things that I've recently included into my routine, So
- 2:38Speaker 1: just like new healthy habits or new products that I've
- 2:42Speaker 1: implemented into my daily routine, as well as some things
- 2:46Speaker 1: for girls that are looking to start their wellness journey
- 2:49Speaker 1: or just need some inspo for new product or honestly
- 2:53Speaker 1: just to get back into a wellness routine. I feel
- 2:55Speaker 1: like everybody goes through periods of time where they feel like,
- 2:58Speaker 1: you know, things are getting repaired, or it's just like
- 3:02Speaker 1: not feeling inspirational anymore. And I feel like sometimes investing
- 3:06Speaker 1: in new things or changing things up can really remotivate
- 3:09Speaker 1: yourself to get back into a healthy mindset or a
- 3:12Speaker 1: healthy routine. So that's what today's episode's really going to
- 3:15Speaker 1: be about, is just really discovering yourself and seeing if okay,
- 3:18Speaker 1: do I want to change things up. Do I want
- 3:20Speaker 1: to add things to my routine. I personally think it's
- 3:23Speaker 1: always better to try and change things up ever so often,
- 3:27Speaker 1: because I feel like that reinspires.
- 3:29Speaker 2: You to get into a routine.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I think for me personally, I talked about in an
- 3:32Speaker 1: episode previously, but I was out of my journaling routine
- 3:36Speaker 1: for about six weeks if not more, and I felt
- 3:40Speaker 1: reinspired to buy a new journal and get back into
- 3:43Speaker 1: my journaling routine. And I feel like that's been really
- 3:45Speaker 1: inspiring for me lately, is because you know, it's something
- 3:48Speaker 1: that I haven't done in a while, and getting back
- 3:50Speaker 1: into it it just feels really really good. And then
- 3:53Speaker 1: I've also included some other new things, which again has
- 3:55Speaker 1: just really reinspired me to continue, you know, getting into
- 3:59Speaker 1: my healthy routine and all that. So we're gonna talk
- 4:02Speaker 1: a little bit about that in today's episode, and yeah,
- 4:05Speaker 1: I'm just excited to get into it. Before we get
- 4:07Speaker 1: into this episode, I also just want to talk about
- 4:09Speaker 1: how it's literally the end of October. How the heck
- 4:13Speaker 1: did it just fly by so fast? I cannot believe
- 4:16Speaker 1: Halloween is literally right around the corner. And once Halloween
- 4:19Speaker 1: is over, everybody's gonna be talking about Christmas.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I will not lie. I have already.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Started to order some Christmas stuff, now hear me out.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I don't typically order or buy things for Christmas before Halloween,
- 4:32Speaker 1: but I will say that a lot of the good
- 4:34Speaker 1: decore pieces are out before and I feel like things
- 4:38Speaker 1: just sell out really fast right after Halloween because everybody's
- 4:41Speaker 1: in that mindset of Okay, we need to prep for
- 4:45Speaker 1: the holidays, like what do we need for decor wise
- 4:47Speaker 1: all that. So if you can be a bit of
- 4:48Speaker 1: ahead of the game and try and purchase things, yeah,
- 4:51Speaker 1: as soon as you can when things are out, I
- 4:53Speaker 1: think that's the most beneficial. So I did stumble upon
- 4:57Speaker 1: home Sence last week. You guys saw my TikTok. You
- 5:00Speaker 1: guys definitely know, but I found a few things that
- 5:03Speaker 1: I was looking for. One specifically, I was looking for
- 5:05Speaker 1: a reindeer for the front of our house because I
- 5:08Speaker 1: don't really have much outdoor decor. I really focused on
- 5:11Speaker 1: the inside for the past two years because obviously moving
- 5:15Speaker 1: into a new house. I'm sure you guys can agree
- 5:16Speaker 1: to this, but when you move into a new home,
- 5:19Speaker 1: you obviously have no Christmas decor and you're starting from
- 5:21Speaker 1: scratch and let me tell you, Christmas decor is not cheap.
- 5:25Speaker 2: It is so freakin' expensive.
- 5:27Speaker 1: The Christmas tree, garland, wreaths, like it really does add up.
- 5:32Speaker 1: It's taken me two full years to finally get the
- 5:34Speaker 1: house fully decorated. I still think I might need a
- 5:37Speaker 1: few things in the house, but not much, like very
- 5:39Speaker 1: minor details. But my outdoor decor is very much lacking,
- 5:44Speaker 1: like I need to spice it up this year. So
- 5:47Speaker 1: I really really wanted to get a reindeer, which I found,
- 5:50Speaker 1: so I was very happy about that, and then just
- 5:52Speaker 1: little decore pieces for the inside of the house. I
- 5:55Speaker 1: am excited though, because Zach and I this weekend, I
- 5:57Speaker 1: think we're going to the States to go Christmas to
- 6:00Speaker 1: core shopping. We usually go around this time of the
- 6:02Speaker 1: year to yeah, just kind of stock up on some
- 6:06Speaker 1: food items because you know, there's certain things in the
- 6:08Speaker 1: States that we don't have here, so like Trader Joe's
- 6:12Speaker 1: Target all that. I'm definitely excited just to stock up
- 6:14Speaker 1: on a few things. And then I also love to
- 6:17Speaker 1: check out the McGee and Co. Which is do you
- 6:21Speaker 1: guys know, Studio McGee. She's a interior designer. She has
- 6:25Speaker 1: her own Netflix show all that I love, love love
- 6:28Speaker 1: her Home to Core pieces and her Christmas stuff is
- 6:30Speaker 1: always just so good. So I'm going to be going
- 6:34Speaker 1: to Target and checking out that section because I think
- 6:36Speaker 1: that's always a fun thing to do. But anyways, the
- 6:39Speaker 1: whole point of me bringing this up was I just
- 6:40Speaker 1: cannot believe how we all talk about Fall and Halloween
- 6:44Speaker 1: for such a short period of time, and then as
- 6:46Speaker 1: soon as November first hits, for the next two months,
- 6:48Speaker 1: it's all about Christmas. So anyways, I'm very excited to
- 6:52Speaker 1: get into Christmas content and just talk about the holidays.
- 6:55Speaker 1: It's another time of the year that everyone looks forward
- 6:57Speaker 1: to and it's just exciting and fun and spending time
- 6:59Speaker 1: with family and all that. So I'm very much looking
- 7:02Speaker 1: forward to the Holidays, And to be honest, I'm like ready,
- 7:06Speaker 1: I'm so.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Ready for vlog miss vlogs.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Like just decorating the house all that. Like, I think
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'm taking down my Fall to Core probably on Friday.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Within these next few days, I'm definitely gonna take the
- 7:16Speaker 1: stuff down and prep the house for Christmas to Core.
- 7:20Speaker 1: And Zach's been on me, He's like, I don't want
- 7:22Speaker 1: to decorate too early.
- 7:23Speaker 2: This year.
- 7:24Speaker 1: But like, come on, Like, when you put that much
- 7:27Speaker 1: effort in a house, like you might as well put
- 7:29Speaker 1: the Christmas tree up as soon as you can when
- 7:31Speaker 1: November comes. I don't know if anyone else feels that way,
- 7:33Speaker 1: but I feel like we put so much effort in
- 7:35Speaker 1: putting these decorations up that it's like I want it
- 7:37Speaker 1: in the house for a period of time. Like I
- 7:39Speaker 1: don't want it for just you know, three weeks. I
- 7:41Speaker 1: want it for like three months if I could. But anyways,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I love the way the house feels during the holidays.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I find it's so cozy and it just makes me
- 7:49Speaker 1: so happy. There's just a feeling that I cannot describe,
- 7:51Speaker 1: but you guys get it. When the Christmas tree is up,
- 7:53Speaker 1: the fireplace is lit, everything's all set up, the coziness
- 7:57Speaker 1: just is like next level. I know some of you
- 7:59Speaker 1: are probably like Achilles, stopped talking about Christmas. We're still
- 8:02Speaker 1: in fall. You're still in fall modes. So I'm going
- 8:04Speaker 1: to stop talking about it. But I just wanted to
- 8:06Speaker 1: give a little sneak peek of yeah, just what to
- 8:09Speaker 1: look forward to. But anyways, let's get into some hawk
- 8:12Speaker 1: girl healthy habits and wellness needs. Everything you need to
- 8:15Speaker 1: become the ultimate IT girl. So let's talk about some
- 8:18Speaker 1: things that I've recently included into my routine. These are
- 8:21Speaker 1: some daily habits that I've recently included in my YouTube
- 8:25Speaker 1: video of my morning routine.
- 8:26Speaker 2: But there's some things that I.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Haven't talked about because that was filmed I think three
- 8:31Speaker 1: weeks ago. So it's amazing how you know a few
- 8:34Speaker 1: things can change within three weeks. But I placed some
- 8:37Speaker 1: online orders on Amazon as well as a website called
- 8:41Speaker 1: I think it's called Nature Sante's a Montreal company. Anyways,
- 8:46Speaker 1: I recently ordered the Coconut Cult probiotic. I don't know
- 8:50Speaker 1: if you guys know that brand at all, but you
- 8:53Speaker 1: guys know I've talked about supplements in the past, but
- 8:54Speaker 1: a probiotic is great for your gut health, great for
- 8:57Speaker 1: your skin. There's just a lot of benefits to taking
- 9:00Speaker 1: a probiotic, and I'm all about my gut health, especially
- 9:03Speaker 1: like right now with me being sick, I've been really
- 9:05Speaker 1: trying to focus on taking my probiotic every single day,
- 9:08Speaker 1: saying consistent with it. And the benefit of taking Coconut
- 9:11Speaker 1: Cult versus like a probiotic vitamin is honestly, it tastes
- 9:16Speaker 1: really good, Like having a spoonful of something super flavorful
- 9:19Speaker 1: in the morning is kind of fun and exciting. So
- 9:22Speaker 1: I got two different flavors. I got the berry and
- 9:25Speaker 1: the chocolate yogurt, So essentially it's a yogurt brand. They
- 9:28Speaker 1: have different types of flavors, and I got those two
- 9:32Speaker 1: flavors out of their I think they have like ten
- 9:34Speaker 1: different flavors. They've recently became really trendy because some girl
- 9:38Speaker 1: on TikTok that I follow. Her name is Tatiana. She recently,
- 9:42Speaker 1: you know, talked about the hype of coconut cult and
- 9:44Speaker 1: sea moss. Sea moss is another thing that I've been
- 9:47Speaker 1: wanting to do a bit more research on. I haven't
- 9:48Speaker 1: purchased it myself, but again, it's a huge benefit to
- 9:52Speaker 1: your skin and I think overall health as well. But
- 9:56Speaker 1: she did a TikTok talking about coconut cult and sea moss,
- 9:59Speaker 1: and the whole video just went viral and everybody started
- 10:02Speaker 1: to jump on the coconut cult gang. I will say
- 10:05Speaker 1: that I've seen a few other people talk about coconut
- 10:07Speaker 1: cult as well, but I feel like recently it's gone
- 10:09Speaker 1: viral because of her video. So Anyways, I decided to
- 10:13Speaker 1: try it out. I actually didn't know it was available
- 10:15Speaker 1: in Canada until I found an online website that carries it,
- 10:18Speaker 1: which is nature Sante, which is based in Montreal.
- 10:22Speaker 2: And it did take four weeks.
- 10:23Speaker 1: To come in just because the company based in Montreal
- 10:26Speaker 1: was constantly texting me just saying like.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Hey, Kiley, like we have your order. However, like we've.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Been having a high demand of coconut cult orders within
- 10:33Speaker 1: these past few weeks, so we keep running out of stock,
- 10:36Speaker 1: but like we promise we'll get it to you whatever.
- 10:38Speaker 1: So totally understandable. It's a small business, Like I get it.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I worked for a small business in the past, so
- 10:44Speaker 1: you know, keeping up with demand and not having enough
- 10:47Speaker 1: suppli is definitely hard.
- 10:49Speaker 2: So I was.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Very respectful and very understandable. But anyways, eventually I got
- 10:53Speaker 1: the product and I've been using it now for the
- 10:55Speaker 1: past week and a half. Yeah, I would say week
- 10:58Speaker 1: and a half. Basically, I cannot give my full review yet,
- 11:01Speaker 1: but I will say the first two days that I
- 11:04Speaker 1: took it, I actually felt a bit of a burning
- 11:06Speaker 1: sensation in my throat and stomach, which I was like, hmm,
- 11:09Speaker 1: this is kind of weird. Like maybe it's because you know,
- 11:12Speaker 1: it's something that my body is it used to, but
- 11:15Speaker 1: now taking it, it just tastes like a spoonful of
- 11:17Speaker 1: yummy yogurt. And yeah, so again not going to say
- 11:21Speaker 1: I have all these benefits yet. I think I'm gonna
- 11:23Speaker 1: have to take it consistently for at least a month
- 11:25Speaker 1: to really notice any difference. But it tastes really good
- 11:29Speaker 1: and there's fun flavors, and I feel like it's been
- 11:31Speaker 1: something that I've really been looking forward to in the morning,
- 11:34Speaker 1: so I take it on an empty stomach before breakfast,
- 11:37Speaker 1: and yeah, I don't know, I just have been really
- 11:39Speaker 1: liking it. I will say, though, I did talk about
- 11:41Speaker 1: my recent YouTube video that I've been kind of cutting
- 11:44Speaker 1: back on supplements, so I'm talking greens, you know, any
- 11:49Speaker 1: type of vitamins, anything like that, because I really want
- 11:52Speaker 1: to get my blood work done. I actually have a
- 11:54Speaker 1: doctor's appointment booked, but I don't know if you guys
- 11:57Speaker 1: have any issues with getting in with your doctor, but
- 12:00Speaker 1: my doctor's fully booked, Like it takes like four to
- 12:02Speaker 1: six months even get an appointment with her. So yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 1: it kind of sucks, but it is what it is.
- 12:07Speaker 1: So it's been really hard to get an appointment with her.
- 12:10Speaker 1: But I've been wanting to get blood work done because
- 12:12Speaker 1: I want to know what my body actually needs, Like
- 12:15Speaker 1: do I need more magnesium?
- 12:16Speaker 2: Do I need you know? Do I have low iron?
- 12:18Speaker 1: Like? I want to know exactly what I need because
- 12:21Speaker 1: I feel like just taking these vitamins thinking oh, like
- 12:24Speaker 1: this is going to help my energy levels or oh
- 12:27Speaker 1: this is going to help my mood or whatever it is.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Like the reality is is that if you.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Don't know your body and you're taking these vitamins, it's
- 12:33Speaker 1: not going to help anything. So in my opinion, do
- 12:36Speaker 1: your own research figure it out, Like, don't just buy
- 12:39Speaker 1: these vitamins and supplements, because let's also be honest, supplements
- 12:42Speaker 1: are not cheap. They are extremely expensive. So I think
- 12:45Speaker 1: truly just figuring out your body, figuring out what you
- 12:48Speaker 1: need is the most important thing. So if you haven't
- 12:51Speaker 1: done so, book a doctor's appointment or book a place
- 12:55Speaker 1: that you can get blood work done and just see
- 12:57Speaker 1: exactly what you need. So that's what I'm personally doing. Again,
- 13:00Speaker 1: you do you, but I'm just telling you guys what
- 13:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to do, and yeah, I just think it's
- 13:05Speaker 1: gonna be beneficial knowing exactly everything I need and that way
- 13:08Speaker 1: I can actually treat my body what it needs. So yeah,
- 13:12Speaker 1: that's a little update on my supplement journey. Another thing
- 13:15Speaker 1: that I've recently included into my routine is tongue scraping.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I cannot rave about a product more like I'm trying
- 13:23Speaker 1: to get Zach on this.
- 13:24Speaker 2: He thinks it's disgusting.
- 13:25Speaker 1: But the benefit to the tongue scraping is that you
- 13:28Speaker 1: have so much bacteria and germs on your tongue that
- 13:30Speaker 1: you don't even know. And you know, I came across
- 13:34Speaker 1: I think it was an Instagram reel of a doctor
- 13:36Speaker 1: just talking about it, and it made me realize that
- 13:39Speaker 1: I'm like, I need a tongue scraper, Like why am
- 13:42Speaker 1: I not getting one?
- 13:43Speaker 2: And even being sick right now?
- 13:45Speaker 1: Like Zach's very, very sick, and yes I'm sick, but
- 13:50Speaker 1: I would say he's like way worse than me, Like
- 13:52Speaker 1: he's got like the body aches, the fever, like way worse.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Than what I have.
- 13:57Speaker 1: And I personally think that because I've been like taking
- 14:00Speaker 1: a probiotic and you know, just doing other benefits like
- 14:03Speaker 1: tongue scraping, just like those little things that I do
- 14:06Speaker 1: consistently in the morning. Like, I personally think I'm not
- 14:09Speaker 1: as sick because I've been taking care of myself consistently,
- 14:12Speaker 1: So I do think there is a benefit to doing
- 14:14Speaker 1: these daily habits in the morning. Is obviously to prevent
- 14:16Speaker 1: getting sick, to help your overall health, to help your skin,
- 14:20Speaker 1: blah blah blah, all the benefits. But yeah, like Zach
- 14:23Speaker 1: obviously doesn't really do any of that. So I'm like, babe,
- 14:27Speaker 1: you gotta start taking a probiotic. You gotta start getting
- 14:30Speaker 1: a tongue scraper.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Like I don't know.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I feel like you guys can probably really if you
- 14:35Speaker 1: have a partner, But I feel like the guys just
- 14:36Speaker 1: they don't get it. They don't get it. But in
- 14:39Speaker 1: my opinion, using a tongue scraper is essential and I've
- 14:43Speaker 1: been loving it. Another thing I've been doing every single
- 14:46Speaker 1: morning is I've been having green tea before my coffee.
- 14:50Speaker 1: So green Tea's benefits to taking this is attention and focus.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And I don't think I've ever talked about this on
- 14:57Speaker 1: the podcast, but I actually have adhd huh surprise. I
- 15:02Speaker 1: feel like you guys could probably tell because sometimes I
- 15:05Speaker 1: go off topic or go off track when I'm talking
- 15:07Speaker 1: on the podcast, But I yeah have severe ADHD. I
- 15:12Speaker 1: grew up with it in high school always, you know,
- 15:15Speaker 1: was embarrassed by it and was always a struggle. But
- 15:18Speaker 1: I think now being an adult, I've realized how many
- 15:21Speaker 1: other people also had ADHD and how common it is
- 15:24Speaker 1: to have it. But I feel like this actually helps
- 15:26Speaker 1: me in the morning, taking this consistently every single morning,
- 15:30Speaker 1: because I do find I pay more attention to detail
- 15:32Speaker 1: and just focus a bit more than what I usually do.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Like I'll notice if I go off track with not
- 15:37Speaker 1: drinking tea in the morning, I feel like my brain's
- 15:40Speaker 1: all scattered. I'm not organized, I'm not on top of shit.
- 15:42Speaker 1: When I feel like I am drinking my tea consistently,
- 15:45Speaker 1: I just feel like I pay attention to just like
- 15:48Speaker 1: everything I have to get done throughout the day. I'm
- 15:50Speaker 1: more consistent with just daily habits in the morning, just
- 15:53Speaker 1: like knowing like Okay, oh I got to get this
- 15:55Speaker 1: done for work today, Oh I got to record the
- 15:57Speaker 1: podcast today. I just feel like I'm paying more attention,
- 16:00Speaker 1: We're focused, and we're organized on what I have to
- 16:02Speaker 1: get done for the day. So green tea is a
- 16:05Speaker 1: huge benefit. I have a tea in the morning and
- 16:08Speaker 1: a tea at night. I also take a night tea,
- 16:10Speaker 1: which honestly varies. I take a peppermint tea, a dandelion tea,
- 16:13Speaker 1: Spearman tea, or there's one called Nighty Night, which I
- 16:17Speaker 1: believe has Camo meal in it. I'm kind of scattered
- 16:20Speaker 1: at night because I don't really care. I just like
- 16:21Speaker 1: want a tea at night because I feel like a
- 16:23Speaker 1: tea after dinner is so soothing and calming, whereas in
- 16:27Speaker 1: the morning I take a green tea for the benefits,
- 16:30Speaker 1: which is focus and attention. So anyways, that's something I
- 16:33Speaker 1: feel like I haven't really talked about, but that's something
- 16:35Speaker 1: I've been doing every single morning, I would say for
- 16:38Speaker 1: like the past three months. I actually started two months
- 16:42Speaker 1: before the wedding, and I don't know, I just think
- 16:45Speaker 1: it's made a huge difference in, yeah, a lot of things.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Another thing that I have been doing consistently is reformer pilates.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I want to talk about reformer pilates for a second,
- 16:56Speaker 1: because I've always been a pilates girl. You guys know
- 16:59Speaker 1: that I've always done plates at home, but I've never
- 17:02Speaker 1: done the reformer machine until earlier this year when a
- 17:05Speaker 1: studio opened up by my house and I felt like
- 17:08Speaker 1: it was just meant to be, I had to go
- 17:09Speaker 1: try it out. And I just want to say that
- 17:12Speaker 1: I don't really talk about physical change when it comes
- 17:15Speaker 1: to my body, because at the end of the day,
- 17:17Speaker 1: you guys know that I don't work out for how
- 17:20Speaker 1: I look. I work out for how I feel personally.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Like working out helps my mental health, it helps my anxiety. Obviously,
- 17:26Speaker 1: just moving your body in general is just great for
- 17:28Speaker 1: your overall health. And of course I would say yes,
- 17:31Speaker 1: like working out helps my physical appearance as well, but
- 17:33Speaker 1: I wouldn't say that's the main reason as to why
- 17:36Speaker 1: I work out. But once I started to include reformer plates,
- 17:40Speaker 1: the definition that I've been seeing in my ABS is insane,
- 17:45Speaker 1: like insane, and I'm not gonna lie. Like the first
- 17:47Speaker 1: few times I did reformer plates, I was kind of like, okay,
- 17:50Speaker 1: like I'm not really like feeling the burn, you know
- 17:53Speaker 1: what I mean. Like I wasn't really like feeling the
- 17:56Speaker 1: sweat because it's not really a sweat, like depending on
- 17:58Speaker 1: the class that you do, it's more like working muscles
- 18:01Speaker 1: that you don't typically work and also finding the instructors
- 18:05Speaker 1: that work for you. So I feel like that's the
- 18:07Speaker 1: same thing with spin cut, like there's certain instructors that
- 18:09Speaker 1: I like more there just to get a good sweat,
- 18:12Speaker 1: and the same thing with reformer plates. I feel like
- 18:14Speaker 1: if you do workout classes consistently, you're always gonna find
- 18:17Speaker 1: instructors that you find works better for you versus other ones.
- 18:20Speaker 2: And that's just the reality.
- 18:22Speaker 1: So for me, I finally found instructors that I liked
- 18:24Speaker 1: at Reformer pilates and different types of workouts. So they
- 18:29Speaker 1: have full body, they have bood Delicious, they have jump board,
- 18:32Speaker 1: which jump board is personally my favorite because you're getting
- 18:34Speaker 1: cardio in on top of a burn, and then the
- 18:38Speaker 1: full body is usually more of a slower pace, but
- 18:40Speaker 1: you feel just certain muscles.
- 18:42Speaker 2: That you don't typically work.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I would say now I probably do Reformers Pilates consistently
- 18:47Speaker 1: three times a week and spin coat three times a week.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I have to say this, but I don't think I've
- 18:51Speaker 1: ever seen my body so toned in my life. And
- 18:53Speaker 1: that is truthfully because I've been so consistent with this routine.
- 18:57Speaker 1: So I highly highly recommend booking a Reformers Pilates class
- 19:02Speaker 1: if you've never tried it.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Trust me, it definitely feels weird in the beginning.
- 19:06Speaker 1: And again, some people may not think it's that great
- 19:08Speaker 1: of a burn because it is such a like interesting workout,
- 19:12Speaker 1: but trust me, when you start going to the more
- 19:16Speaker 1: intense classes, you will realize how good of a burn
- 19:19Speaker 1: it actually is. I just thought I would bring that
- 19:21Speaker 1: up because I feel like a lot of people sometimes
- 19:22Speaker 1: ask me questions on what kind of workouts I prefer
- 19:25Speaker 1: or enjoy or seeing the best results. And I have
- 19:28Speaker 1: done a lot of different workouts. I've done at home,
- 19:30Speaker 1: workouts I've done, you know, the gym, like I've done
- 19:34Speaker 1: lifting heavy Lifting heavy was never something.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I really enjoyed.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I think I started to do it during COVID and
- 19:39Speaker 1: then realized that it wasn't for me just because I
- 19:42Speaker 1: didn't enjoy doing it. And that's okay, what I say.
- 19:45Speaker 1: My results were good, yeah, but I would prefer my
- 19:48Speaker 1: results now in terms of how I feel and just yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 1: the definition and tone that I'm seeing with pilates. But
- 19:55Speaker 1: if you're a Jim Girley and love to live heavyweights,
- 19:57Speaker 1: like that's amazing. Everybody has their own thing, Like, everybody
- 20:01Speaker 1: loves different kind of workouts, and everyone's going to see
- 20:03Speaker 1: different kinds of results for themselves as well, So it's
- 20:06Speaker 1: all based on your preference. But even at home workouts,
- 20:09Speaker 1: like I was a huge at home workout girl, like
- 20:11Speaker 1: I still love form, however, I just personally feel like
- 20:14Speaker 1: I've been seeing a huge difference in going to reformer
- 20:18Speaker 1: plates and also I've just been enjoying to get out
- 20:21Speaker 1: of the house and having that social interaction with people,
- 20:23Speaker 1: getting a good sweat in all that, so I find
- 20:26Speaker 1: workout classes are so motivating and just meeting people and
- 20:30Speaker 1: again getting out of the house getting a good sweat.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I'm a big workout class girl now and that is
- 20:35Speaker 1: my new favorite thing and I hope to consistently do
- 20:37Speaker 1: it for a long period of time. So I would
- 20:40Speaker 1: say those are like the four newest things going into
- 20:42Speaker 1: this year that I've taken very consistently and have noticed
- 20:46Speaker 1: like dramatic changes. Like obviously the first two things that
- 20:49Speaker 1: I've recently started, the tongue screaping and the probiotic I
- 20:51Speaker 1: can't speak much on yet, but two new things that
- 20:54Speaker 1: I think it's going to honestly be a consistent thing
- 20:56Speaker 1: in my routine moving forward. But now let's talk about
- 20:59Speaker 1: some wellness things that I've been loving that I think
- 21:01Speaker 1: every girly needs, especially people who are looking to feel
- 21:04Speaker 1: reinspired or just started their wellness journey and don't know
- 21:07Speaker 1: where to start. For me personally, I think every girl
- 21:10Speaker 1: needs a good activewar set. Something about activewear that's so
- 21:14Speaker 1: motivating is putting on a cute matching set, like I'm
- 21:17Speaker 1: gonna be fully transparent.
- 21:18Speaker 2: That's just the way it is.
- 21:20Speaker 1: I feel like putting on a matching jacket with the
- 21:22Speaker 1: bra and the leggings, I feel put together, i feel motivated.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I'm like, get me to a workout class. Let's get
- 21:27Speaker 1: it done. Two brands that I've been recently loving is Aritzia.
- 21:31Speaker 1: They have really good active wear. I will say it's
- 21:33Speaker 1: one of my favorites, to be honest. The colors are
- 21:35Speaker 1: so nice, the prices are pretty fair as well. Another
- 21:39Speaker 1: brand is Form. I'm sure you guys know Sammy Clark's brand.
- 21:42Speaker 1: They recently came out with an activewear line and their
- 21:45Speaker 1: sports bras are insane. They're so good. The quality is
- 21:49Speaker 1: ten out of ten. And then obviously there's Lululemon and Alo,
- 21:52Speaker 1: which are just like other very basic brand names, which
- 21:55Speaker 1: you guys, I'm sure I have heard of. I also
- 21:57Speaker 1: love Cropshop Boutique, which is based in Australia. They're probably
- 22:00Speaker 1: one of my favorites and I probably wear them the
- 22:02Speaker 1: most consistently because it's so like trendy and fashionable, which
- 22:07Speaker 1: I love and yeah, just.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Great overall support.
- 22:11Speaker 1: What I love about CSB is that that is one
- 22:13Speaker 1: brand that I never sweat through. So you know, when
- 22:16Speaker 1: you sweat so much and you can see the sweat
- 22:18Speaker 1: marks like on your legs or on your bra, when
- 22:21Speaker 1: I wear CSB, you cannot see any sweat ever. Like
- 22:24Speaker 1: I wore a light pair of gray leggings the other
- 22:27Speaker 1: day and some girl came up to me and she's like,
- 22:29Speaker 1: oh my gosh, I love your leggings. Where are they from.
- 22:31Speaker 1: I said, oh, they're from crop Shop Boutique. She's like,
- 22:33Speaker 1: oh my god, I would love to wear something like that,
- 22:35Speaker 1: but I would sweat right through that. I'm like, no, girl, like,
- 22:37Speaker 1: watch after the class, like you'll see my legs. They
- 22:40Speaker 1: are not going to be like you're not going to
- 22:42Speaker 1: see the sweat through it, Like I sweat a lot
- 22:44Speaker 1: at spin Cot, but these leggings, like they do not
- 22:47Speaker 1: They're not like you cannot see the sweat at all. Anyway,
- 22:50Speaker 1: she comes to see me after the class and she's like,
- 22:51Speaker 1: oh my gosh, like you can't see the sweat. I'm like,
- 22:53Speaker 1: I told you, Like it's really thick material. It's a
- 22:56Speaker 1: really really good brand. So anyways, I think she honestly
- 22:58Speaker 1: went to go buy them after because she was so pressed.
- 23:00Speaker 1: But yeah, I think that's a great selling point with
- 23:04Speaker 1: CSB is that you never sweat through it and it
- 23:07Speaker 1: always looks ten out of ten. Another wellness thing that
- 23:10Speaker 1: I think every girl needs is Bala Bangles and weights.
- 23:13Speaker 1: What I love about having the Bala Bangles and weights
- 23:15Speaker 1: is that if I want to use the Bengals when
- 23:17Speaker 1: I want to hawk a walk, I can do that.
- 23:19Speaker 1: If I want to use the angle weights for a
- 23:22Speaker 1: workout at home, I can do that. So having weights
- 23:25Speaker 1: in the house, if you're the kind of person that
- 23:26Speaker 1: maybe doesn't like to go to workout classes or doesn't
- 23:29Speaker 1: like to just do a workout in public, you're more
- 23:31Speaker 1: of an at home gym girl, or if you're looking
- 23:33Speaker 1: to start out and you know, maybe starting at home
- 23:36Speaker 1: is the best place to do it before jumping to
- 23:38Speaker 1: the conclusion of going to a workout class or anything.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Definitely invest in getting Bala bangles and weights. It is
- 23:45Speaker 1: by far the best purchase that I've made, and I
- 23:48Speaker 1: use them all the time. As I said, like going
- 23:50Speaker 1: outside for walks, anything like that, Like just having a
- 23:53Speaker 1: set of weights at home, I think is crucial. With
- 23:55Speaker 1: having a good set of weights, I think it's also
- 23:57Speaker 1: important to have a good yoga mat. So I have
- 24:00Speaker 1: the Alo yoga mat. Whenever I do an at home workout.
- 24:02Speaker 1: This is the mat that I typically use. I also
- 24:05Speaker 1: love to have a yoga mat at home because I
- 24:07Speaker 1: really try and take advantage of stretching when I can.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Stretching is so important if you're active consistently. So I
- 24:15Speaker 1: work out five to six times a week, so for
- 24:17Speaker 1: me personally, I need to be on top of stretching
- 24:19Speaker 1: because I'm going to injure myself and obviously.
- 24:22Speaker 2: We don't want that.
- 24:24Speaker 1: So I find having a yoga mat at home for
- 24:26Speaker 1: stretching or if I wanted to get an ab workout done,
- 24:29Speaker 1: or even like a quick thirty minute workout. If I
- 24:31Speaker 1: don't have the time to go to a workout class
- 24:32Speaker 1: and I just want to be able to get a
- 24:33Speaker 1: workout done at home, having a yoga mat is essential.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Another thing you're gonna need is a good pair of Runners.
- 24:39Speaker 1: This is actually something that I'm recently looking for right
- 24:42Speaker 1: now because I've had my Nike I think they're the
- 24:45Speaker 1: two seventies, which have been great. I've had them for
- 24:48Speaker 1: four years now, but they're due to have a bit
- 24:52Speaker 1: of a swap, so I'm looking at a pair at
- 24:55Speaker 1: I think it's called A six. They have been recently
- 24:57Speaker 1: trending lately, and I've been really really liking their styles
- 25:01Speaker 1: that they just recently came out with, So that's a
- 25:03Speaker 1: great brand or I'm honestly just going to go back
- 25:05Speaker 1: for another Nike pair, except maybe a different model. Having
- 25:09Speaker 1: a good pair of Runners, I think is essential, especially
- 25:12Speaker 1: for someone that's starting out and needs, you know, something
- 25:15Speaker 1: for their active lifestyle. Another thing when it comes to
- 25:18Speaker 1: wellness is not only working out, but taking care of
- 25:20Speaker 1: our skin, taking.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Care of our bodies. So I have been loving the
- 25:24Speaker 2: led face mask.
- 25:25Speaker 1: I guess that's also a new healthy habit that I've
- 25:27Speaker 1: included into my routine, more my night routine, not really
- 25:30Speaker 1: like in the mornings, but I have been loving it
- 25:33Speaker 1: so far. Again, not something I've used for a long
- 25:35Speaker 1: period of time, but I love it. I think it's
- 25:38Speaker 1: so great for anti aging for dry skin. I definitely
- 25:43Speaker 1: need it with my skin right now because obviously with
- 25:45Speaker 1: the weather changing and it's been colder, my skin has
- 25:48Speaker 1: been extremely dry. So just using that has been a
- 25:53Speaker 1: game changer for my skin. Another thing I've been trying
- 25:56Speaker 1: to be better at is taking care of my body.
- 25:58Speaker 1: So my body's been obviously very dry. I have a
- 26:01Speaker 1: very bad exzema with the colder months, so I just
- 26:04Speaker 1: need to be on top of keeping my body hydrated.
- 26:06Speaker 1: So I have been using body oil consistently after my showers.
- 26:11Speaker 1: So I've recently been using La Accutines body oil. Guys,
- 26:15Speaker 1: this body oil smells insane. I think it's their almond.
- 26:19Speaker 1: It's like they're staple. It's their almond. Body oil. The
- 26:22Speaker 1: best thing I've ever smelted my life, and it is
- 26:25Speaker 1: so hydrating. It is by far the best body well
- 26:28Speaker 1: I've ever used. And yeah, it's by the brand La Occutane.
- 26:32Speaker 1: So if you're someone that has super dry skin in
- 26:35Speaker 1: the winter, please please please do yourself a favor and
- 26:38Speaker 1: get body oil. I've been using it consistently now and
- 26:41Speaker 1: I've been loving the results and I feel like my
- 26:43Speaker 1: my exema also hasn't been as bad. It hasn't been
- 26:46Speaker 1: flaring up as much, just because I've been taking action
- 26:49Speaker 1: on keeping my body hydrated. So yeah, that's your sign.
- 26:53Speaker 1: If you have dry skin, invest in a body oil.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Something that's always motivating to someone that needs just something
- 26:59Speaker 1: new and exciting is a new water bottle.
- 27:02Speaker 2: I just actually ordered.
- 27:03Speaker 1: One because I have had the same water bottle now
- 27:06Speaker 1: for a long period of time, and I'm like, we
- 27:08Speaker 1: need to change it up. That's just something I will
- 27:11Speaker 1: be guilty of, is that I will get a new
- 27:12Speaker 1: water bottle, like probably at least two new water bottles
- 27:16Speaker 1: a year, which sounds kind of bad, but I don't know.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I feel like having a cute new water bottle ever
- 27:21Speaker 1: so often. I don't know, it just makes a difference,
- 27:24Speaker 1: and I feel like I'm more motivated to drink water.
- 27:26Speaker 1: And let's be honest, a water bottle is like what
- 27:28Speaker 1: forty bucks fifty bucks? I mean, unless you're getting a
- 27:31Speaker 1: Stanley and spending one hundred dollars, which is ridiculous to me.
- 27:33Speaker 1: I mean, I don't think that's how much the Stanley
- 27:35Speaker 1: actually is, But like Amazon upprices it and certain people
- 27:38Speaker 1: do just because it's always you know, a hit and
- 27:41Speaker 1: everybody wants one, but I will never spend that much
- 27:43Speaker 1: on a water bottle. So to me going on Amazon
- 27:46Speaker 1: ordering the Simple Modern brand, super sleek, stunning colors, and yeah,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I just ordered a brown one, and yeah, I'm excited.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Another thing that you'll need is planners and journals. I
- 27:59Speaker 1: actually just got a new journal that is a planner
- 28:01Speaker 1: as well, which has been great because having everything in
- 28:04Speaker 1: one spot is perfect. I feel like when I had
- 28:06Speaker 1: two books, like my journal and my planner, I don't know,
- 28:10Speaker 1: it's just like it seemed busy, Like having everything in
- 28:12Speaker 1: one spot just makes it easier for me in the morning.
- 28:15Speaker 1: So I got a new one from the brand still,
- 28:17Speaker 1: I just actually recently discovered them. And another good one
- 28:21Speaker 1: is if you're looking to start out your journaling routine
- 28:25Speaker 1: and you've no idea where to start, get the five
- 28:27Speaker 1: Minute Journal. I got this when I first started my journaling,
- 28:30Speaker 1: and it was a game changer, and to be honest,
- 28:33Speaker 1: like I actually kind of miss it, like I would
- 28:35Speaker 1: definitely buy it again, just because it was so beneficial
- 28:39Speaker 1: to have every single morning, and it was great that
- 28:41Speaker 1: there was also a nighttime journaling routine as well, so yeah,
- 28:45Speaker 1: but just do your own research. Figure out a good
- 28:48Speaker 1: planner or journal for you, something that's quick, something that's easy,
- 28:51Speaker 1: and something that you'll actually use every single day. Another
- 28:54Speaker 1: thing you'll need going into your wellness journey is a
- 28:57Speaker 1: good pair of headphones. This is great for your hawk
- 29:00Speaker 1: girl walks. If you're doing a workout at home or
- 29:02Speaker 1: if you're working out at the gym. I will say
- 29:05Speaker 1: that you do not need I think I have the
- 29:08Speaker 1: Apple Promacs headphones. You don't need them. They're like a
- 29:11Speaker 1: thousand dollars. Please do not buy them. Like they're great,
- 29:14Speaker 1: I will say, but I've heard that the Bo's headphones
- 29:18Speaker 1: that I think are like literally two injure bucks, not
- 29:20Speaker 1: even way better quality, way better just in general. Apparently
- 29:25Speaker 1: that's what I've been told. My sister got them and
- 29:26Speaker 1: she loves them. And I've also heard a few influencers
- 29:29Speaker 1: talk about Bows and how they've compared it with the
- 29:32Speaker 1: Apple headphones, and they said they're more comfortable and overall
- 29:35Speaker 1: just more worth your money. Honestly, Like, yes, they're great,
- 29:38Speaker 1: I love them. I already purchase them, so I'm gonna
- 29:40Speaker 1: obviously say they're great. But if I'm gonna tell someone, hey,
- 29:43Speaker 1: like you should go buy this. I'm not gonna tell
- 29:45Speaker 1: you to buy those headphones because I personally think it's
- 29:47Speaker 1: not worth the money. So if you don't have a
- 29:49Speaker 1: good pair of headphones, definitely invest in a good pair.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Christmas is coming around the corner, so that's a great
- 29:54Speaker 1: Christmas gift to ask for. But the Bo's ones they
- 29:57Speaker 1: hear are really good, or honestly, just the Apple like
- 30:01Speaker 1: AirPods like those are great. You don't need the over
- 30:03Speaker 1: the ear headphones. The last thing I want to talk
- 30:05Speaker 1: about when it comes to your wellness journey is, of
- 30:07Speaker 1: course you need a good skincare routine. We talk about
- 30:09Speaker 1: this all the time, so I'm not going to get
- 30:10Speaker 1: into that much, but definitely establish a good base of
- 30:14Speaker 1: a routine when it comes to moisturizers, vitamin c's, you know,
- 30:18Speaker 1: a serum, I cream, all that. But one thing that
- 30:22Speaker 1: I've no I wouldn't say I've recently done this. I've
- 30:24Speaker 1: been doing this consistently now for probably the past four
- 30:27Speaker 1: to five months, and that is a guasha or a
- 30:30Speaker 1: new face routine. The way the inflammation in my face
- 30:34Speaker 1: just changes from doing this like almost every single morning
- 30:38Speaker 1: is insane. The shape of your face can dramatically change
- 30:41Speaker 1: just by doing like five minutes before your skincare of
- 30:45Speaker 1: using a guasha or a new face. So I have
- 30:48Speaker 1: seen so many videos of this and tutorials on how
- 30:51Speaker 1: to do it. That's how I figured out how to
- 30:53Speaker 1: use aguasha or a new face. But it is truly
- 30:56Speaker 1: made a huge difference in my face, and I never
- 30:59Speaker 1: realized how aimed my face was until like doing this
- 31:04Speaker 1: step into my skincare routine. So yeah, I highly, highly,
- 31:08Speaker 1: highly recommend that if you're someone that's starting out and
- 31:11Speaker 1: wants just like a good product for their skincare routine,
- 31:16Speaker 1: I very much recommend these two products. So that's like
- 31:19Speaker 1: the best guide I could recommend for people that are
- 31:22Speaker 1: starting their wellness journey and just like need like the
- 31:25Speaker 1: top things to start out. I would say that's the
- 31:28Speaker 1: top ten things you need for a good wellness routine.
