- 0:03Jasmine, oolong, green and white.
- 0:07Long ago, these four tees were skillfully brewed at the Blissful Brew.
- 0:11Then everything changed when the shop's popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:17All Mr.
- 0:17Okuran, the shop's owner and teammaster, could do was to recruit four teenage orphans to learn his trade and staff his shop.
- 0:26A year has passed since the orphans were hired, and although their skills have progressed, they still have a lot to learn before they can brew anything.
- 0:34But I believe that they have the potential to make the Blissful Brew the greatest tea shop in the world.
- 0:41Last time on Benders and Brews an Avatar Legends Podcast what in the world is going on? We kicked out of drunken this young man, so he steps into the shop.
- 0:52I need to have a word with you outside, old man.
- 0:55The guy says you owed us the money for the whole month and you haven't paid up yet.
- 0:59You have until tomorrow.
- 1:01Please.
- 1:01That's not going to be enough time to get the money together.
- 1:04Okay, fine.
- 1:05I'll give you to this weekend.
- 1:07But if you don't pay me by then, I'm trashing a tea shop and take it whatever I want.
- 1:12Wild Coyote.
- 1:13Boars, let's roll out.
- 1:15They're a group that offers protection services.
- 1:19I've always been able to make the payments, but this month a customer called in a fairly large and expensive order.
- 1:26It was going to be a catering job for a very wealthy individual here in town.
- 1:30They bailed on the order and canceled it.
- 1:33And now I'm stuck with all these incredibly expensive ingredients.
- 1:36I don't know what else to do.
- 1:38I want to talk to the rich people.
- 1:41Hello, everyone.
- 1:42Welcome to Benders and Brews podcast, a non canonical Avatar Legends real play podcast.
- 1:49My name is Skyler Gorsett, and as always, I am the game master, creating story alongside my co writer Nick Van Puersem and then bringing it to you and of course these fantastic players around me.
- 2:04And today's question, as the players go around and introduce themselves is at a festival, what activity does your character gravitate to? Connor, tell us a little bit about what Brock Lee would gravitate to.
- 2:18Yeah, Brock Lee, the strapping young earthbender he is, would take his talents over to the dunk tank where he would be chucking rocks.
- 2:28He really likes Chucking rocks.
- 2:30He loves Chucking rocks.
- 2:31He will be chucking rocks at that dunk tank all day long until the water is absolutely disgusting.
- 2:36Whether it's seagulls or targets.
- 2:39He's hucking rocks all day.
- 2:40He is hacking rocks all day.
- 2:42Does he often accidentally or purposely miss the target to hit the person in the dunk tank? On occasion, but I think he gets enough satisfaction on dunking them into disgusting water.
- 2:56Something about that.
- 2:57Yeah, that definitely seems more satisfying.
- 2:59For sure.
- 2:59Oh, yeah.
- 3:00Dave, tell us about Guo Han.
- 3:05He's had a lot of experience with that.
- 3:08Festivals.
- 3:09Sure.
- 3:12So he would probably go to the kissing booth you know, that makes a lot of sense because as someone that grew up in the carnival, like you mentioned before, he knows that game.
- 3:26A lot of them are just scammed.
- 3:28They're just scammed.
- 3:29So it's like, you know what? At least with a kissing booth, I'm getting something for my money.
- 3:33Exactly.
- 3:34That makes so much sense.
- 3:35That's so great.
- 3:37Frickin love Guo Han I feel like he's the chubby kid, but he also has a lot of build up confidence and I love that.
- 3:44I love that about him.
- 3:47Cameron with Bill door.
- 3:49Yeah.
- 3:50What does he do at festivals? Bill Door goes to the ring toss okay.
- 3:56And spends many hours tossing.
- 3:59Ring tossing ring.
- 4:00Is there a price that he's really trying to get success? He just wants to prove himself.
- 4:06He just wants to make one that's fair.
- 4:08They're pretty much impossible.
- 4:11Slippery.
- 4:12And he gets sweatier the more he throws them, gets more into it and only gets brow arches.
- 4:20And it's like that meme of that kid where his veins are popping.
- 4:24It's basically that, but with the ring causing and he loses a lot of money on it.
- 4:30That's understandable.
- 4:32Ring tossing and the one where you try to get the ping pong ball in the bottles or whatever.
- 4:36Yeah.
- 4:37But he usually uses all his money and then they feel bad for him because he's out of money, but he really wants to get it.
- 4:44So they just let him keep going because it's not about the prize.
- 4:48They're like, I don't care if this keeps very angry.
- 4:52He's got something about it and he wants to get that ring on that bottle eventually.
- 4:58Yes.
- 4:585 hours later awesome.
- 5:01Meeka, what do you do at festivals? Has Mika ever gone to a festival? Sorry, Makala playing Meeka.
- 5:08Yeah.
- 5:09Okay.
- 5:10But she's gone to more festivals.
- 5:13Just kind of like the ones where you have to wear like masks or whatever.
- 5:20Sure.
- 5:22I don't know.
- 5:23I guess I suppose if they were in the Earth Kingdom, then she probably would visit one without a mask, but right.
- 5:29I'm going to say that they have like rights.
- 5:34Sure.
- 5:35Yeah, she does that.
- 5:36She likes this real sure.
- 5:38That would be interesting to come over.
- 5:40How do people in this era kind of like create rides? How would they run them? But I'm sure there's a way.
- 5:48There's got to be a way.
- 5:49If benders are actively bending as like the little roller coaster goes down the tracks or because like the delivery system yeah.
- 5:58So it'd be kind of sort of like that that were like carnival games.
- 6:02Because she has a couple of tricks of her sleep, so she likes to scan back.
- 6:06Yeah.
- 6:06Okay, cool.
- 6:07Very cool.
- 6:08That makes sense given that she's a rogue.
- 6:10Yeah.
- 6:11Awesome.
- 6:12Cool.
- 6:12All right, let's jump into things.
- 6:16Alright.
- 6:17Like I said, as you pass through kind of like this marketplace district and things like that, pretty much almost immediately afterwards, the houses that start popping up are pretty nice houses.
- 6:28You've kind of entered, like, if not middle, upper middle class, like the upper class section.
- 6:34So you're looking around, and eventually, sure enough, you do find a very large, nice house.
- 6:40Not a mansion necessarily, but it's a big, nice house.
- 6:44And on the decorative mailbox, that looks exactly like the house itself, just like a mini version of it with a little door in the front that a mailman could put the mail into, it says, Shifu Family.
- 7:00I'm going to roll my eyes at that.
- 7:02And then is there a gate or something? Going to knock on it? It's a small gate.
- 7:12I'm going to open it.
- 7:14You do that, and you step inside, and you make your way up the path to the door of this fine house.
- 7:22They're fairly large or neat doors.
- 7:24Then I knock on the door.
- 7:25All right, you knock on the door, and the door opens.
- 7:28And a man dressed in a long robe holding his hands in kind of almost like a prayerlike position as he steps up to the door, and he says, yes, welcome to the Shifu residence.
- 7:42How can I help you? That's rude, don't just stare at him.
- 7:57Do I have something in my teeth? He starts, like, digging into his teeth with his tongue.
- 8:07Did I get it? Yes, you got it, sir.
- 8:12I was just wondering if I could speak to the head of the household, and I kind of give him, like, a courtesy, but it's kind of wobbly because I don't do it very often, honestly.
- 8:24They're not taking any visitors at this time because the master of the house is actually not here at the moment.
- 8:34What about the madam of the house? She's with him.
- 8:37They are both attending a party today.
- 8:42They're out shopping, I believe, getting attire ready.
- 8:55Do you know how long they're going to be out? I would say until roughly.
- 9:04Master typically likes to eat out at a very particular restaurant in town, so I assume he will do that with the mistress for lunch, take her out to the nicest to sit down and then after that.
- 9:18They will probably maybe do a couple more little bits of okay, I get it.
- 9:24Did they have, like, a little master of the house , per se? Well, no.
- 9:35The master and mistresses how do you say this are barren? You're getting a lot of information about this family.
- 9:46This guy doesn't talk to many people.
- 9:50Well, you see, I was just hoping to talk to somebody.
- 9:53I work at a tea shop in town, and I just wanted to talk to somebody who would maybe give me some information about it.
- 10:04He puts his hand on your shoulder, and he says, I know what it feels like.
- 10:09I do not have many friends to talk to either.
- 10:16I wanted to talk to him about a Tea deal, and I kind of pat in his hand.
- 10:24He removed that awkward, kind of embarrassed well, they did discuss something about tea deal.
- 10:35Something for tonight's, party, I believe.
- 10:41I don't quite remember the details.
- 10:44Are you catering tonight? Is this a situation in which there's an error with the catering deal? Yes.
- 10:53Oh, what seems to be the problem? I can send a message.
- 10:59Well, do you mind if I just come in and rest my feet on the sofa? I'm feeling a little parched.
- 11:05From a long walk.
- 11:07We could sit and have a chat.
- 11:09Normally, I don't roll a plead.
- 11:14She wants a friend.
- 11:15Yeah.
- 11:16And you're pleading to have him let you into the house and be his friend? I'm going to use my roguish term.
- 11:21Okay.
- 11:23That fits really well.
- 11:24What was the beginning of that, the roguish term? If I can plead with an NPC or guide and comfort someone by flattering them and empathizing with them, mark one fatigue to role with creativity instead of harmony, you are definitely empathizing with his desire for a friend.
- 11:56a six.
- 11:57And then you roll with creativity.
- 12:00Yeah.
- 12:02All right.
- 12:02On a seven to nine, they need assurance or something extra before helping.
- 12:13Normally, the family doesn't allow guests when they're not at home.
- 12:21Well, you know, like, I'm a guest for you right now.
- 12:26I was just hoping we could just sit and check because, like you said, I don't have a lot of friends, and you probably have lots of friends, but I just thought maybe we could just have a little bit of conversation.
- 12:45Maybe you could cheer me up some.
- 12:47A tear drips down his eye, and he says, it may come as a surprise, but I, in fact, do not have a lot of friends, and I would be absolutely honored to have you come in and chat with me.
- 13:08And he sort of does a very butler steps to the side of the door with it open and kind of boughs with his hand outstretched into the building to allow you entrance.
- 13:18I slide my arm into his folded arm and I walk him into the house.
- 13:24Look back at the door.
- 13:27Yeah, I'll look back at the door and I'll link at them.
- 13:29Okay.
- 13:34So he closes the door as you two step inside.
- 13:39He leads you into sort of there's, like, the big foyer, main area, very decorative set up in such a way to really accentuate the decorative and fineness of their house, I suppose.
- 13:53And then he leads you to the left, where there's sort of like a sitting room, kind of not a dining area, but sort of just like a congregating room.
- 14:02I've been in enough, like, old house museums.
- 14:04I feel like I should know these terms, but it's not really my thing.
- 14:09But anyway so there's a fireplace, and it's not lit at the moment.
- 14:16Yeah.
- 14:17Gathering room.
- 14:18Yeah, that might be it.
- 14:19Yeah.
- 14:19And then there's some fine chairs and some couches, maybe like one or two bookshelves, but nothing like substantial.
- 14:26It's mostly just decorative to make it look nice and things like that.
- 14:29Obviously, there's a large, ornate crystal chandelier hanging above you, things like that.
- 14:35So he offers you a seat, and there is a nice little teapot and tea set sit sitting there.
- 14:41He immediately pours some tea and he hands you one of the cups.
- 14:44And then he sits across you and crosses over his legs.
- 14:46He says, this is almost feeling having guests in the house without the Master here.
- 14:55So tell me, what's your name, first of all? My name is Nika.
- 15:01Nika? Yes.
- 15:06To meet you, my name is Sebastian.
- 15:09That's the worst alias I've ever heard of.
- 15:18Something that's close to your name.
- 15:20Yeah, but not like if someone mispronounces your name normally.
- 15:23So Meeka, please tell me what is it you do? You said you work for a Tea shop.
- 15:29Please tell me about that.
- 15:31Anyway, I hope that the tea that I prepared is up to standard.
- 15:37It's delicious.
- 15:39Thank you.
- 15:41I mean, so much coming from you.
- 15:45Yeah, I do work at tea shop.
- 15:47Sometimes I'm making the tea.
- 15:49Sometimes I do dishes.
- 15:53Sometimes I serve the customers a little bit of everything.
- 15:58He leans forward, he puts his hand on your knee, not in a weird way.
- 16:05And he just looks you in the eye and he says, I do all of those things here, too.
- 16:11We have so much in common.
- 16:14We're going to be the best of friends.
- 16:15I would like to think so.
- 16:22I'm so emotional.
- 16:23I don't get to show all this normally in front of the Master and the mistress.
- 16:27I have to keep a straight face, and I have to always come across this professional at all times.
- 16:33I kind of pat his hand and I say, There, let it all out.
- 16:38Thank you.
- 16:40You take that hanky kind of dabs away just below his eyes at the tears that are starting to form and things like that.
- 16:49And he says, you mentioned something about some sort of tea deal that the Master and the mistress have ordered for the party tonight.
- 16:58Yeah, well, we had some really the finest of tea set up for them, and it's just really great tea, but there's a miscommunication and when we're supposed to deliver it and payment and stuff, and I was just kind of wondering if I could talk to him about that.
- 17:21As I mentioned before, maybe I could retrieve the order form and if you want to write notes on it, and I could have it sent off to the Master, wherever he's at.
- 17:30Like I said, I can send a footman, a messenger who can ration over to him.
- 17:35That way he has all the information that he needs.
- 17:38Yeah, that would be great.
- 17:39Okay, so he rushes off and he quickly brings back a sheet of paper.
- 17:45Wait, hold on.
- 17:47Why he's out of the room? Pickpotted king their couch cushion.
- 17:52Okay.
- 17:54Yeah.
- 17:54You find a handful of copper pieces between the cushions.
- 18:01Okay.
- 18:02I'm going to say five.
- 18:03Okay.
- 18:04And you find one silver piece hidden amongst them.
- 18:10These guys counting money on their couch.
- 18:14That is a quiz.
- 18:15It was 1% of what we need, yes.
- 18:19Oh, wow.
- 18:21I guess it would probably be from the you know, they have guests over.
- 18:24They bring them into the guest room for everybody to talk and chat.
- 18:29And then every once in a while the money slips out of your pocket, as it does in our day, in our time, into the cushioned seat.
- 18:39They never have to look for a spare change because they always got it.
- 18:42Maybe they had a party recently in Sebastian, just hasn't had a chance to really dig under the seeds.
- 18:48Or maybe that's the one flaw in this butler's routine, is he just relaxed to do that.
- 18:55He sounds like he does a lot.
- 18:58He does like cry.
- 19:00He doesn't get to do that very often.
- 19:03Is there anything else that you do before he returns? No.
- 19:09Sounds like I have enough time.
- 19:10Yeah, that makes sense.
- 19:11I was going to say you might be pushing your luck at that point.
- 19:13Okay, cool.
- 19:14So you manage to ground that up and then you quickly sit back down as you can hear his feet squeaking.
- 19:23The floorboards under his feet squeaking as he makes his way back.
- 19:27He got clown shoes on.
- 19:31And he comes in and he hands you a sheet of paper and you open it.
- 19:36And it is not a T order catering form from the Blissful Brew.
- 19:44It is a tea ordering form from some company called Hot Leaf Juice.
- 19:51Hot Leaf Juice betrayal.
- 19:55And it talks about the catering for a party tonight with tea and ingredients that seem similar to what Mr.
- 20:06Okran had been describing previously.
- 20:09But obviously, again, this is not the Blissful Brew that is providing it.
- 20:16Okay, so this is like an order form.
- 20:18So does it have like the Hot Leaf Juice address and information for payment or it's just the name and what they order? Yes, it has their information on it too.
- 20:32Can I write down the Blissful Bruise information instead? Yes.
- 20:41Erase blows or an ink properly? It's in ink.
- 20:44Yeah, I can't afford to document that.
- 20:49What is the address? So it is from out of town? It's actually from the capital, but it looks like that they are traveling.
- 20:58They're sending kind of a mobile unit to this town for this special order.
- 21:04Does it say anything about payment? How that's going to be made or processed or anything? It says that it's already been paid in half and then the other half will be after the party tonight.
- 21:16Okay, I am going to as you look it over, he kind of says, well, what is that? You need to edit on this or any notes, like I said that you needed it.
- 21:29I can write it or you can write it, and then like I said, I can have it send talk to the master and the mistress and let them know that there was a change in it, and they can probably stop by your establishment or whatever the case to handle that during their day.
- 21:46Like I said, probably after brunch or lunch or whatever.
- 21:50Meals come after that.
- 21:52Meanwhile, outside of the house, three men stand awkwardly at the front gate.
- 21:59I'm in a bush.
- 22:00Three men or two men stand awkwardly at the gate while one man stands awkwardly in a bush.
- 22:07I like to think that you're literally just, like, your feet up to your waist or just in a bush, but you're just standing there with your arms, like, just slightly out at an angle.
- 22:15I'm invisible.
- 22:17They can't see me, guys, but I can see them.
- 22:21Are we able to seek in the house from where we're at? You might just be able to catch, like, a glimpse at least at some point, of them walk past one of the windows to show which room that she's in.
- 22:35Is he crying? He's been crying a lot, if that's what that's his really happy well, she's not dead yet.
- 22:47I can't believe she made it into the parlor.
- 22:49Honestly.
- 22:50Same parlor.
- 22:52Wow.
- 22:53Just help that one.
- 23:00We don't need to go in to help her, do we? She seemed to have it on her own.
- 23:04Probably not.
- 23:05I mean, what else could happen? She goes in, she steals money.
- 23:11Now, obviously you can't hear anything that's being said inside of there, but at one point, you do see him lean forward and what looks like he puts his hand on her.
- 23:20We got a great menu.
- 23:21Apparently she seems to lean forward as well, whatever that means to you guys.
- 23:28That dude's like, three times her age.
- 23:30What's she doing is she's 14 and 17.
- 23:37That's still not legal.
- 23:38You can catch a case with that guy, get him in court, and that's how we get our money, bro.
- 23:43I don't think he's got the money, though.
- 23:45I don't know.
- 23:46Maybe she needs a distraction.
- 23:49Thank you.
- 23:51She's the distraction.
- 23:52No, maybe she needs a distraction.
- 23:55Remember she wanted to look through, like, couch cushions or something.
- 23:57That's what she said.
- 23:58Maybe we need one of us to go to the door and be like, delivery.
- 24:13Like a door to door squid sale.
- 24:18These rich people, they order a lot of people getting better and better.
- 24:22Honestly, I always take a squid with me wherever I go.
- 24:30But what other situations do we find ourselves in where we might need a squid? Like the Bob I Do episode where he gets a banjo and he's like, I'm just waiting for my banjo moment.
- 24:39Linda, this is the squid moment.
- 24:42If it's the squid moment, I'm with you.
- 24:44I'll go up with you to deliver a squid.
- 24:46She needs a distraction.
- 24:47Sounds like a group of door to door missionaries.
- 24:54Are you already with? Okay, Mika, as you're sitting there looking over the horror for me.
- 24:59No door is not wish to knock on the door and the bush.
- 25:03And Sebastian says, we have other gish at the house.
- 25:10And he rushes off over to the door.
- 25:12Wohan.
- 25:12Are you the only one that went knocked on the door, broccoli? So you two are still kind of in the bush? Yeah, and then just go, okay, I need to be clear.
- 25:24I'm in the bush, he's in the bush.
- 25:26Got it.
- 25:28So when they were having a conversation earlier about plans right.
- 25:31It was a bush talking to them.
- 25:34Good.
- 25:34Got it.
- 25:35Just like Moses in the desert, except I'm a man inside of a bush.
- 25:43It may look like that.
- 25:44It may look like a talking bush at first glance, but it's actually just bill door in a bush.
- 25:50Got it.
- 25:50Okay, so gohan.
- 25:52The door opens, and there's a man, a fairly older man, like I said, in the long robes with the sort of prayer hand sing symbol going on.
- 26:01And he says, how can I help you? Oh, hey there, Mr.
- 26:07We got a squid delivery for seafood family.
- 26:14I believe you mean to say Shifu? Yes.
- 26:20May I? Did you order a squid? I did.
- 26:23Not personally, but I'm not 100% knowledgeable about the affairs of my master and mistress.
- 26:31I am supportable butler here, but I suppose if they order the squid, I can take the squid.
- 26:40But you don't want to take a look at it first? Yes, of course.
- 26:50Yeah.
- 26:50I pull out the box, do some earth bending, open it up.
- 26:55There it is.
- 26:56Sloshing around, little tentacles kind of plopping out and back into the water here and there.
- 27:03Yes, this looks like a very fine squid specimen.
- 27:07Did they specify what this specimen was for? I don't know what you rich people do.
- 27:16I just deliver the squid.
- 27:18Yes, of course.
- 27:19Is there anything I need to do in order to keep the squid alive? What are these squids typically used for? Well, I'm not sure exactly.
- 27:32I mean, I usually just eat squid, but they ask for it alive.
- 27:37I don't know what a weirdo would ask for a live square.
- 27:40Maybe this is for the party tonight.
- 27:43It's not hosted here, but it would be something maybe they're taking with them.
- 27:49They were in charge of the T order.
- 27:52Well, all right, so what we want to do is keep the square alive until then.
- 27:57We got to find a nice cool area to keep this in.
- 28:03So if you allow me in, I'll come and find such an area here.
- 28:10I'll have you roll a pleat as well.
- 28:24Cool place.
- 28:30I probably could take it myself and figure it out.
- 28:35I don't know.
- 28:36You didn't seem to know anything about the squid here, I suppose.
- 28:42And you hail from the actual establishment, right? You're not like, just a footmen delivering squids everywhere or other things, right? No, this is my full time.
- 28:54You work with the squid distributor parts yes, I've heard of them.
- 29:01Okay.
- 29:02Yes, of course.
- 29:02Follow me.
- 29:04Yeah, it'd be a real shame if something happened to it.
- 29:08Yes, of course.
- 29:10I'll take you to the basement.
- 29:12That seems like a cool did you say dock or not dock? Well, it's got to have a decent amount of air flow, of course.
- 29:23The basement.
- 29:24So it doesn't suffocate.
- 29:26Well, yes, there's plenty of space in the basement.
- 29:29Yes, it would be.
- 29:31And he's going to lead you inside the house towards a stairwell, kind of off into the back, like you have to go through the kitchen, and then there's a stairwell past the kitchen, and as you're going, he's asking you questions.
- 29:43Sue.
- 29:43Is this a particularly rare squeeze, by chance? Oh, yes.
- 29:51Well, maybe that would explain why they wanted to keep it alive for like I said, maybe it's the party tonight that they're planning on having.
- 29:59That would make a lot of sense.
- 30:00I think I've heard the ink from the squid is what sets them apart.
- 30:07Interesting.
- 30:08Well, man, look at me.
- 30:10I'm making friends.
- 30:11I'm learning about squids today.
- 30:14I tell you what.
- 30:15I wasn't expecting to wake up on a Saturday morning and have just so much of my life changed.
- 30:20I was making friends.
- 30:21Was I interrupting something? No, just a wonderful new acquaintance stopped by, and we were getting to know each other, and it's not a problem at all.
- 30:34This is my job, after all, to make sure that the master and mistress's business is in order.
- 30:39So as long as I'm getting that done, and I personally don't see a problem with a new friend stopping by.
- 30:48No problem at all.
- 30:53Anyways, here's the basement.
- 30:54Yes.
- 30:55Is there a space in here that seems adequately shows you around it? I mean, it's not like dark dark.
- 31:01It's just dinner because it's underground.
- 31:03But there are obviously some sconces along the walls that are lit, running.
- 31:08He goes and lights up a couple more.
- 31:10Not with firebending.
- 31:12He's not a firebender.
- 31:13He's just lighting him with, like, matches or something like that.
- 31:16And it's a pretty open space.
- 31:19There's a couple of small rooms here and there, which she says you're welcome to use all of them.
- 31:25There's one that's like a bathroom esque room.
- 31:27It's got some facilities in there, just kind of like some general spaces for the most part.
- 31:35It doesn't look like they use it too much down here.
- 31:38It's usually not just open to anybody if they were to have guests over.
- 31:41Okay.
- 31:42Do I see any doors or, like, stairs leading out of the basement to a sub basement? Like I said, there's some doors to some smaller rooms, but I don't think there's anything that leads to a second basement or anything like that.
- 31:58He says, well, I suppose they probably for something like this.
- 32:04If we needed to, we could create a stone tub of sorts if we wanted to.
- 32:11And I could go fetch some water and we could fill it, and maybe the squid would be all right in there.
- 32:19Yeah, that would be perfect.
- 32:21Actually, on top of it, maybe you do know a few things about square.
- 32:29If you wouldn't mind.
- 32:30I myself am not an Earthbender, but feel free to perhaps this corner right here.
- 32:37And he points to one corner, and he kind of, like, holds his hands out in such a way to kind of suggest a sort of containment space that you could he's like, if you wouldn't mind if you could just got a check few things here.
- 32:53Yes.
- 32:56Like licks his finger and sticks it up into the air.
- 33:00We got some decent air flow here.
- 33:04Good lighting.
- 33:06Good.
- 33:06All right.
- 33:08Yeah, this should work here.
- 33:10And then he'll do some fancy footwork and lift up with his palms, create a little basin for the water.
- 33:23Yeah, that's a really good word.
- 33:24All right.
- 33:25Yeah, perfect.
- 33:26All right.
- 33:26And then he says, oh, wonderful.
- 33:28If you don't mind, I'll run upstairs.
- 33:30If you don't mind waiting here, and I can grab some auto.
- 33:34Or I suppose if you wanted to come with me, I know you have your hands a little bit taken by this container.
- 33:42Or if you want to put the container into the larger basin, I'll come help you.
- 33:46Okay.
- 33:48Faster we get this done, I can be on my way to my other delivery.
- 33:53Oh, yes, of course.
- 33:55Both of you rush upstairs.
- 33:57And do you set the squid down in the basement or in the basement? Downstairs.
- 34:03Okay, so you set it in there, and then, like I said, you both run upstairs and you start fetching water in some kind of large pools or buckets, even.
- 34:13Take down and fill the basement up.
- 34:18I'm looking around for any signs of Mika, like, looking in the parlor as we go past.
- 34:24Sure.
- 34:25You would definitely see here, especially if you had a chance to glimpse into the parlor.
- 34:30Mika, what are you doing while this is all going down? Drinking my tea.
- 34:35Okay, so at one point, you see Guo Hon actually peak around the corner into the parlor where you're at.
- 34:46Okay.
- 34:47You give them a wing.
- 34:49How does Guava handle that? He just winks back.
- 34:54Okay.
- 34:56I guess that means it's going good.
- 35:00Actually, Gohan would probably be, like, try to secretly sign, like, point at her and be like you, and then make the okay symbol.
- 35:11Mika, he's signaling the old are you okay? She not.
- 35:16Yeah, okay.
- 35:18She not.
- 35:19What are the two outside in the bush? What are you two doing? Sure.
- 35:24I hope GLOW's plan works, because we're out of squid.
- 35:31Yeah, we don't really have any reason to go up there.
- 35:35We have no backup squid? No, we should have bought two.
- 35:40The second squid is a rock.
- 35:42The first squid didn't go well.
- 35:45Can I walk around the house? Sure.
- 35:47Try and find any sort of houses that have storm doors that lead down to.
- 35:54A basement type area.
- 35:55Yeah, you take a look around and sure enough, you do find a kind of a storm seller that leads or doorway to a seller or something that probably leads to the basement.
- 36:09I want to go in there.
- 36:10Okay.
- 36:11It is locked.
- 36:13Okay.
- 36:16It just has a basic bolt lock on it.
- 36:19Basic bolt lock.
- 36:21But you said are there any windows around where I would be able to see Global or Mika from here? From this side? I don't think you'd be able to see anybody.
- 36:31The basement obviously being underground isn't going to be visible.
- 36:35And then you know where Mika is.
- 36:37So that's kind of around to the side of the house.
- 36:39But there were windows there because you were watching some interaction between her and Sebastian.
- 36:47Micah, are you keen on sign language at all? I wish.
- 36:54Okay, so could I try to frantically, since I know she can't sign, make the key turning hand gesture and say, I need a key or something, and maybe point to the butler.
- 37:10Okay, so you run around to the side of the house where you can see her.
- 37:13She can see you through the way you get her attention through the window, and then you just start doing this and then I don't know how Mika would interpret that.
- 37:22I'm interpreting that.
- 37:23He wants me to stab somebody.
- 37:26Remember, that is not I was a survivalist.
- 37:29Pointing to the butler.
- 37:36Shake my head no.
- 37:38Okay, so she's no help.
- 37:40No, the butler does not have a key.
- 37:42Okay.
- 37:42Butler does not have a key.
- 37:45That's what you interpreted? I'm just saying I'm not going to kill my new friend.
- 37:50You don't want to stab a buzzer.
- 37:52Okay, fine.
- 37:54All right, so I'll go back to the storm cellar area.
- 37:59Is anybody else around with an earshot you can see? Just the bush.
- 38:09Don't mind me.
- 38:10Just the bush.
- 38:11I conjure up a softball sized rock and I try to just smash the lock.
- 38:15Okay.
- 38:16All right.
- 38:16Skills.
- 38:17Yeah.
- 38:17Probably rely on your skills and training.
- 38:21So I need seven to nine, so I roll with focus.
- 38:27That is no additional talking to the ghost rater.
- 38:33Yeah, it says accept those consequences, which is sorry, it says accept those consequences.
- 38:40If you were to roll seven to nine and you do it imperfectly, which is going to cause an unexpected consequence, you can either accept those consequences or mark one fatigue.
- 38:50Okay.
- 38:50In seven to nine, I do it perfectly, but I need a seven to nine for it to be successful.
- 38:56Right.
- 38:57Ten plus is successful.
- 38:59Seven and nine, you can do it.
- 39:00But I seven or higher.
- 39:03Yeah, successful seven and nine.
- 39:04Just with consequences.
- 39:06Right, nine.
- 39:08Awesome.
- 39:09Okay, so you break the lock, and what do you do immediately after that? I peek my head through the door, see that it leads somewhere, and I try to go in through and close the door behind me.
- 39:24Okay, so as you break the lock, and you peek inside the bushiers Wohan from inside, you hear it, because you and Sebastian are both downstairs when it snaps.
- 39:40And so both of you kind of freeze.
- 39:42And Sebastian says, what was that? Give me just a moment, sir.
- 39:49I'm sorry, I didn't get your name, by the way.
- 39:53Steve.
- 39:54Steve? Yes.
- 39:55Steve quit.
- 39:56A strong, young earthbending man's name.
- 39:59Yes.
- 40:00Very good.
- 40:00All right, Steve.
- 40:01Give me just a moment.
- 40:02And he walks towards the room.
- 40:05So your head is in there as you hear him say, give me just a moment.
- 40:09What are the floors made of? Is it stone? Wood? At this point, it would probably be stone.
- 40:16I feel like the basement itself would probably be stone.
- 40:19Okay.
- 40:20So when I hear him, I go back out, close the door, and put my ear up to it until I hear his footsteps on the stone floor walk away.
- 40:29So you hear his footsteps as they make their way towards it, and then you hear him stop, and you can hear muttering, say, like, through the door, saying, wow, that's strange.
- 40:43The lock seems to be broken on the door.
- 40:47And you hear reaching up, and you hear, like, I guess it would be the contact of hands on the handles from the inside of the door.
- 40:54And as the door starts to open, I'm watching with amazement.
- 41:00Okay.
- 41:01The door begins to open.
- 41:03Oh, can I take a chance to just run from the front door? Sure.
- 41:09I want to see who comes out of the base behind the door.
- 41:15Okay.
- 41:16And what are you doing? I'm thinking.
- 41:18Okay.
- 41:20So he's opening the door.
- 41:22I'm pressed up right on it.
- 41:24Right.
- 41:24That is our stitch right now.
- 41:26That's your stitch? That's the stitch.
- 41:28Okay.
- 41:30I'm glad you got the reference.
- 41:34What type of door you said he reached up.
- 41:37Yeah.
- 41:37So he has handles from the inside, because normally that's where it would be.
- 41:40Well, it could be open from either side, I suppose.
- 41:42Got you.
- 41:44So the storm doors, they would open towards the outside.
- 41:49Yeah.
- 41:50So I'm a pretty beefy boy.
- 41:53I'll just sit on top of the doors so he can't open it and assume that the lock may have just shifted in the wind.
- 42:01Sure.
- 42:04I'm going to have you mark one fatigue.
- 42:06So this will basically be you not accepting the kind of consequences because you instead of make your own path.
- 42:12So you sit on top of the door and kind of hold yourself down as best as you can.
- 42:17So he starts moving the door, and he goes, well, maybe the lock is not broken, or maybe it must be jammed from the outside.
- 42:30Well, I guess it works either way.
- 42:33I'll have a maintenance person come look at this.
- 42:35My apologies, Steve.
- 42:37And you hear him scuttle his way back to the well, steve.
- 42:44Back to Steve.
- 42:46So is this my move or well, Steve and Sebastian are just kind of filling up this tub.
- 42:54So it's whatever you want to do at this point.
- 42:57All right.
- 42:57So I'll go back in all sneaky like.
- 43:00Yes.
- 43:01And I'll follow.
- 43:04Can I hear their voice echo through there? Yeah, a little bit.
- 43:10Okay.
- 43:10So I will try to find any sort of passage that leads in a direction away from them.
- 43:16Is there any sort of passage or is it a one way? Like I said, there's a number of sort of small rooms, but nothing seems to be a passage that leads out of the basement except for the one that leads out of the basement to any other room.
- 43:29So the only way you'd get out of the basement to somewhere else would be going up the stairs.
- 43:35Okay.
- 43:36So I'll stow away in one of those rooms okay.
- 43:39Until I feel that the coast is clear.
- 43:42Okay, sounds good.
- 43:43And then Bill door.
- 43:44Are you doing anything while he is he went inside? Yeah, he went inside the door.
- 43:48You are just a bush.
- 43:49Can I pick up the bush? Yes.
- 43:53You would have to break the stem that holds it into the ground.
- 43:58That's very conspicuous.
- 44:00It's going to leave the bush.
- 44:01Okay.
- 44:02And then dust the bush off of him.
- 44:08Yeah.
- 44:08And then he's going to head inside through the basement doors or he's going to go to the front door.
- 44:16Okay, sounds good.
- 44:17So you rush over to the front door.
- 44:18You open it.
- 44:19Sure enough, it's currently open because the last person to go in was Steve.
- 44:24And Sebastian was a bit distracted to lock the door or anything.
- 44:27So you're able to creep the door open.
- 44:31And as you do this, Mika, you hear the door being opened.
- 44:36Since you're in the parlor, which is not too far from the front of the house.
- 44:40What? I'm sorry your ghost rider was attracted.
- 44:43It's okay.
- 44:44You hear the door being opened at the front of the house from the outside.
- 44:52I walk to the door.
- 44:53Okay.
- 44:54And in steps build door through a door, steps a door.
- 44:59And he wipes his feet, straightens his vest and his thigh and says oh, hey, Mika.
- 45:07Oh, hey, Eldora.
- 45:09Nice place you got here.
- 45:10Thanks.
- 45:11I just got it.
- 45:15I don't know.
- 45:16Johan came in and they're in the basement.
- 45:21Yeah, no, I figured that out.
- 45:26Builds over like, motion to the side.
- 45:28Says, yeah, I saw him just sitting on a basement door, and I saw like movement under it.
- 45:35I figured they're in the basement, maybe trapped them down.
- 45:38I don't know.
- 45:38I figured there's a little hustle bustle going on.
- 45:41Well, I was just about this and I show them the document tea trade that's going on, tea trade party tonight.
- 45:51Scan it over and get overview of hot tea, hot leaf juice.
- 45:55Hot leaf juice? Yeah.
- 45:57That sounds worse than I know.
- 46:01It says here that they paid them half already, but if we could somehow I'm sure that half the other half somewhere, somehow destroy the team destroy hopping with the blissful boom like, oh, hey, we got your back.
- 46:18No worries, bro.
- 46:20This has gone.
- 46:20So America versus Pete.
- 46:28I didn't know if they were already in town, we could just break the car.
- 46:32Okay, let me hear this correctly.
- 46:34You weren't fine with us going to go and beat you up, but you're totally fine with us going and just breaking a bunch of tea? Yeah.
- 46:42So Mr.
- 46:43Okra can get money for our tea.
- 46:47We're trying to save the tea shop here.
- 46:50Change the order.
- 46:52It's in ink.
- 46:56He's trying to cross it off.
- 46:58She just write a new one because they've already seen it.
- 47:02They'll know that I replaced it.
- 47:05What day? Well, I mean, the butler is the official stamp on it.
- 47:09The butler is pretty sad.
- 47:11I have a friend, he's emotional.
- 47:16Their family stamp is on it.
- 47:17Yeah.
- 47:17Okay, well, it's very official now, so if you touch that, it will be illegal.
- 47:22So who follows? I don't even know how you got this.
- 47:27How dumb is this butler? Well, he gave it to me because I said that I needed to get an important message and he said I could write a note on it.
- 47:34Oh, okay, hold on.
- 47:37So you're going to write a note? It's going to be a family.
- 47:39How is he going to get to the family? He's going to send a messenger.
- 47:42I'm the messenger.
- 47:45And what if this letter just never shows up? How will that be beneficial? Well, you see, if there's no official documentation, well, then it all the hearsay.
- 47:58We show up with our team.
- 48:00Exactly.
- 48:00Mr.
- 48:01Oak run has an argument.
- 48:03There's probably some other kind of official document.
- 48:08We're both going to show up with all of our tea.
- 48:10We don't even know where to show other teeth.
- 48:16It doesn't have a seal.
- 48:17It just has, like, the family.
- 48:19I mean, it would kind of be basically the same thing.
- 48:22But it's not sealing the letter, obviously, because the letters open.
- 48:25It would just be stamped.
- 48:26Yeah, well, the outside of the letter would have the seal on it.
- 48:31Must have been just brought paper.
- 48:34You wonder if maybe it was a situation where they sat down, they've made the order, and then he signed it with his that's what he would assume if he didn't see a seal.
- 48:42Yes.
- 48:43It didn't get mailed to anybody, so it didn't have to be sealed closed or anything.
- 48:46Okay, well, that was one idea.
- 48:53I'm assuming we ruined their tea and they have to go to the Blissful Brew.
- 48:59But this is all tonight, right? Yeah, we just forged it.
- 49:02We don't have to forge document because he said he will either write on it or I could write on it and we can just say, hey, the capital shipment there was miscommunication.
- 49:13They don't have it all.
- 49:14So the bus will brew, has to bring what they have since we're a pretty popular tea shop.
- 49:19Yeah, like a coty job.
- 49:22Yeah, except we get all the money and make it.
- 49:26The second half of the payment goes to blessful Group.
- 49:29Yeah, that's not a bad idea.
- 49:33Do you need to deliver that message? No, I just need the butler to come back so we can write the note.
- 49:38So is there anything I can do, or should I just go back and the butler needs a friend.
- 49:45There's a nice bush outside.
- 49:46Why can't you be friends? I don't want to be friends with him.
- 49:51Why can't I don't even like friends to begin with.
- 49:54So, yeah, I guess I have nothing to do here.
- 49:59Any food in the kitchen? I've not been in the kitchen.
- 50:05I'm going to go check out the kitchen.
- 50:07Okay.
- 50:07All right.
- 50:07As you make your way towards the kitchen, you can hear two sets of footsteps making their way up from the basement to the kitchen.
- 50:15And you hear an older voice that I guess, technically, you've been introduced to yet says, well, I have to say, Stephen, we did quite a good job there, setting up an entire aquarium set up for this merchment of squid that you brought us in.
- 50:33Only probably about 510 minutes.
- 50:36Yeah, we did a pretty good job.
- 50:38Now the only thing left is the matter of payment.
- 50:43The Master didn't set anything aside? I assumed that they had already paid for the square.
- 50:50I have a number of quotes set aside for tipping any delivery services or anything like that by the Master and Mrs orders.
- 50:59But I didn't know that's what I meant.
- 51:03Of course, my boy.
- 51:05That's too forward.
- 51:06Yes.
- 51:07No, sometimes it's good to be forward, because some people just they don't get it, so yes, of course.
- 51:16Here you go.
- 51:16And he hands you five copper pieces okay.
- 51:23As he leads you to the door.
- 51:27All right.
- 51:27Yeah, I just go with him.
- 51:29All right.
- 51:30Sounds good.
- 51:31Well, I truly appreciate your assistance, and you have done a fantastic job, and I will be sure to let the Master of the House know that what was it that you said you were from? Semipropod service.
- 51:45Separate service.
- 51:46Yes.
- 51:46I will be sure to let him know that you are an absolute asset to their company.
- 51:51And I'm sure he and his name will carry quite an impressive review for you.
- 51:57And you'll notice so the ink from the squid yes, if you collect, like, it's darker than usual ink? Really? Yeah.
- 52:13I always assumed that black was black.
- 52:16I didn't know there was a darker black color for ink.
- 52:21Oh, they're a shade to punch, not levels.
- 52:28Wow.
- 52:29That is too fine.
- 52:31As I said before, I have learned so much today.
- 52:34Made new friend.
- 52:36I will have to share this information with her.
- 52:38I'm sure she would be intrigued at this incredible, vast knowledge of squid that I've learned today.
- 52:47All right, will you take care of what? Sebastian? Was it Sebastian? Yes, it happened off screen? Yes, of course.
- 52:57Thank you and you have a wonderful day.
- 53:00Steven.
- 53:02Will do.
- 53:03And he gives you one last wave as he closes the door.
- 53:07And then he turns back and heads back into the parlor and walks into where Mica is sitting and he says, well, just absolutely intriguing the amount of information I just learned about squid.
- 53:26Squids of all things.
- 53:28I was not expecting it's such a delivery to come to the house.
- 53:30I sincerely apologize for making you sit here all by yourself.
- 53:34You know, no worries.
- 53:36I was really enjoying this team provided I'm so glad you did.
- 53:44Where we I was just going to have you right on this note here that there was a problem with the Hot leaf Juice not having all the proper tea that they needed, so that they needed our help, the Blissful brew to kind of restock what they have and you guys give us the rest of the payment.
- 54:13Oh, yeah.
- 54:15So you are not with Hot leaf juice? We're like partners, you know what I'm saying? Like sister companies.
- 54:25Yeah, in a sense.
- 54:27Okay.
- 54:28Interesting.
- 54:30They can't go back to the capital and get the rest of the teas that they need.
- 54:34So since we're a pretty popular tea company in town, they ask for help.
- 54:40I'm going to have you roll up, push your luck on this one because it seems like you're kind of throwing some information that he definitely wasn't expecting and it's with passion Ten.
- 54:59Okay.
- 55:00Yes, of course.
- 55:02That makes sense.
- 55:04And based on the address, they're from the capital and you're from here locally, it makes sense that you would collaborate, especially in order such as big as this.
- 55:14Absolutely, that makes sense.
- 55:16Okay, so what did you want me to write on there? He takes the note and he pulls out a quill pin and he gets ready to write I repeat what I just said.
- 55:26Okay.
- 55:27There is some missing teas from the Hot leaf Juice and the Blissful Drew would be attending to accept the payment and to provide the teas that were unavailable.
- 55:37Yes.
- 55:38Okay.
- 55:39So he writes that down and he says, I will have this mailed off right away.
- 55:47What do you plan for the rest of your day then? Well, I suppose you got to get ready for this party coming up.
- 55:54Of course, because you'll be there.
- 55:55Will I see you there? I will not know.
- 55:58I will probably be here taking care of the house.
- 56:02I'll bring you by some of this fancy tea.
- 56:05Oh, that's wonderful.
- 56:07Thank you so much.
- 56:08I really appreciate that.
- 56:10Well, I'll need you to the door.
- 56:13I don't want to have to keep your Thonger.
- 56:16I'm sure you are busy, busy, busy, busy.
- 56:18Thank you so much for your time and so much.
- 56:20I really enjoyed it so much.
- 56:22Yes.
- 56:22Thank you so much for stopping by.
- 56:25I really appreciate it.
- 56:27You're welcome, anytime.
- 56:29All right.
- 56:29And he opens up the door for you and he gives you a bow and he says, it's always good to have more friends.
- 56:35I truly appreciate it.
- 56:36Have a wonderful day.
- 56:38You too.
- 56:39Bye.
- 56:40Anyways, I mean, he's got the note, but he's going to call for somebody to have it delivered ASAP.
- 56:50Am I stuck in the basement? Who is hot leaf juice? How will the master and mistress use the Squid? And then the real question will Broccoli ever get out of the way? He's stuck there to enjoy his time with his new friend, the Squid.
