- 0:01Hey, welcome. I'm so strong green shoulders on
- 0:02green. I apologize about earlier.
- 0:05For some reason I was having Internet trouble keep lagging
- 0:08back and forth. I don't know why.
- 0:09Basically because the app, the basic app I'm using, my tablet
- 0:12is updated. I apologize, but again, hey,
- 0:14hey, hey, accord accord according to well, what was
- 0:21those basically right for information, FIFA basically
- 0:24wants to expand and expand for the next, for the next
- 0:28tournament, which is going to be in 20-30 and, and, and according
- 0:32to reports, basically to expand space, you do want to go from
- 0:36401848 countries to 64 countries.
- 0:40And that's one thing the president of FIFA is, is going
- 0:42to examine basically as his tournament in a way.
- 0:45I don't mind it going to 64 countries.
- 0:48If it does, I don't mind. I can see other countries, other
- 0:52countries basically being being in FIFA, I really don't mind.
- 0:56I see man, for real because soccer is expanding.
- 0:59Soccer is expanding is basically I'm sorry, I call it soccer.
- 1:02I know you all called it all football.
- 1:04I get I apologize. Hey, I'm from the United States.
- 1:07We call it soccer, man. I'm sorry man, for real.
- 1:09But it's very popular. You got people all over the
- 1:12globe, the Philippines, China, everywhere they are they all
- 1:16play. Hey, you all play soccer AKA
- 1:19football, right? I'd like to see expand, but my
- 1:22thing is this FIFA expanding that because you want that
- 1:26because you want to see more people, you want to see more
- 1:28country people involved is because of money.
- 1:33Let's be real here, it's because of money because also according
- 1:37to reports for reports, they're going to be negotiating media
- 1:41rights deal for that tournament in 20-30.
- 1:45We got we're going to have basically people like net, like
- 1:49Netflix, Netflix, Disney apparently with a top two guest
- 1:54that's going to bid as good bid for the media rights, which is
- 1:57which is going to be billions of dollars, says again, billions of
- 2:02dollars for FIFA. Basically, it all boils down to
- 2:06money, let's be honest, and really money, let's be real,
- 2:10which is billions of dollars for FIFA, billions.
- 2:14That's only reason why they want to do it because you see how
- 2:17popular how popular is here in United States, how everybody
- 2:20watches it, how successful they're doing, which is FIFA
- 2:24tournament here in the United States should show United
- 2:27States, Canada, United States, Canada and also Mexico how
- 2:31popular it is. And she all the money get money
- 2:34get basically what not for the TV just got with Fox, but they
- 2:38know that they feel that they can get more money in 20-30
- 2:42basically what not 3 but not because the deal with Fox ends
- 2:46after this tournament as this tournament ends.
- 2:48That's that that's when it ends man for real.
- 2:51It's all about money for real. I see man, because I like for
- 2:55because a same thing same cooker same thing NFL do all the reason
- 2:59why NFL won't expand to 18 to tell 18 games in regular season
- 3:04again for money for money basically we're not because
- 3:08everybody knows they're going to end their media rights deal when
- 3:10they're in 2029. They end the early so you could
- 3:13bid for more money. Couldn't see how much money
- 3:15basically NBA and also just recently when the big League
- 3:19Baseball with the Home Run Derby was on Netflix, there's how much
- 3:22money they're getting went up with the new media rights deal.
- 3:26I guarantee you and FIFA says, wait a minute with we're number
- 3:29one, we're number one in the world.
- 3:31We should be getting more money. Same thing with our NFL.
- 3:34Hey, wait a minute. We're the we're the number one
- 3:37product in the United States and the United States.
- 3:40ABA get more money than us might as better money than us or hell
- 3:44no. That's basically what boils down
- 3:46to, and here's my thing is this I'll I'll blitty say this.
- 3:52If Netflix does get the 2030 FIFA, you will need a streaming
- 3:57service to watch it. Literally streaming shifts to
- 4:00watch it. I'd rather have Disney, Disney
- 4:03or Disney get it. Disney have it honestly man for
- 4:07real. So at least Disney have it.
- 4:09You go watch it like a BABC, whatever he owns on ESPN,
- 4:12whatever. Yeah but if Netflix does get it,
- 4:17you will need a streaming service or any other other
- 4:20popular streaming services get it.
- 4:22You will literally need a streaming service basically to
- 4:25watch FIFA for real. The same thing's happening right
- 4:28now with the NBA Summer League. When it's on ESPN, everybody can
- 4:33watch it. When it's on Prime Video, not
- 4:35that many people can watch it, not even watch it, but not that
- 4:38many people have Prime Video. Let's just be real here.
- 4:41Not that many people do honestly, man for real man on
- 4:47the NBA Summer League has been has been doing really good.
- 4:51Now FIFA, man, a FIFA is better when it's on a regular channel
- 4:56like it is now so that everybody can watch it.
- 4:59Everybody in the world can watch it is better that way Better
- 5:04that way. It's meant to be that way.
- 5:06Sports is meant to be on a regular channel so that
- 5:09everybody will watch it. I nobody should have to pay
- 5:13money just to watch sports. Hell no.
- 5:17Give my French hell fucking no. No, no, no, no.
- 5:21I'll be honest with you. No, but, but hey, I know, hey, I
- 5:27know everybody's already angry about the high ticket prices for
- 5:31FIFA and them ticket prices are high as hell.
- 5:34That's why I see a lot of people at these free watch parties.
- 5:38Free watch parties. I've been to a couple of them,
- 5:40man, for real. Hey, I have fun.
- 5:42I have fun. Just free watch parties, man,
- 5:43for real. Oh, there will be some watch
- 5:45parties today in New York for the for the semifinal, for
- 5:49semifinals, in case anybody interested.
- 5:50All right, for real, but hey, man, hey, sports a my my my
- 5:55thing is this is that sports is meant to be watched by everyone.
- 5:59They watched by everyone. You should have to pay to watch
- 6:02for Ji know I know I'm going to get old.
- 6:05I'm age, baby, age baby man. Hey, I say I've been I've been
- 6:09saying this for years and years instead of doing this podcast.
- 6:12I've been saying this all year so far, so far since I've been
- 6:16doing this podcast, and for real, it's here.
- 6:19The days are coming where we can turn TV on our record,
- 6:22television, bam, and watch our sports with no problem.
- 6:25That day is good. Days like those days are gone,
- 6:29completely gone. And that sucks.
- 6:31It really does. Yeah, for real.
- 6:34Now you got to pick and choose what sports you want to watch
- 6:36because you get too expensive to watch all three or four.
- 6:40That for instance, for me, I like baseball, basketball,
- 6:43football, football now, now like soccer.
- 6:46When I was I was starting in soccer, maybe because again,
- 6:49also one of them one because of my job, work at the hospital, I
- 6:52meet all different people. I've gotten interested in
- 6:55soccer. I really have.
- 6:56I'm learning, I'm learning more about it really.
- 7:00I'm watching more games than usual for real.
- 7:02But but with everything going streaming services, it's quite
- 7:07too much money to have dish to watch this game, this game, this
- 7:11game, this game if it's not on regular television because it's
- 7:14too expensive to have all these different streaming services for
- 7:16real. Case in point for the NFL.
- 7:18Don't you guys will cost you over 1000 dollars, $1000 to
- 7:22watch the complete full season on the NFL because you need
- 7:25multiple streaming services to watch it.
- 7:27I mean damn. I mean, damn, that's be for
- 7:31instance, case your point, and for Sunday ticket, that's like
- 7:35that's like that's like what if, if if we're not mistaken, since
- 7:39I'm a YouTube TV customer and it's on YouTube TV since I set
- 7:44up YouTube for a minute, it's still cost me $535 for the
- 7:48complete season. Fuck you.
- 7:50Hell no, excuse my name, fuck you.
- 7:51Hell no. The other thing that he do I can
- 7:53do with that type of money. I'll just watch regular TV.
- 7:57If I can't watch my Packers, Oh well, cool.
- 7:59He's like I watch another game that's on, that's on in my local
- 8:02area for real. I'll do it that way.
- 8:05Honestly, man, for real, for real, man.
- 8:08But you got some people that can't even do that.
- 8:11We do that for real. And also they build the last
- 8:14night for the home during the home on Derby.
- 8:16But if you want to watch NFL games on Christmas, Christmas
- 8:21you you're going to need Netflix.
- 8:22Even though there is going to be 1 game on Christmas, that's
- 8:24going to be an Amazon Prime Video.
- 8:26So you who do have Amazon Prime Video, either watch that game.
- 8:29Then you got to go over basically the fox basically also
- 8:34to watch a game, watch the game. And then they're going to give
- 8:37us one Netflix. Man, that sucks, man.
- 8:39That sucks man, really does. But for 20-30, FIFA, 2030 FIFA,
- 8:47I mean, come on, man, I'm hoping I'll pray to God when that time
- 8:51comes up. Even though hey, we're 2026, you
- 8:53got four years from now, four years from now, I guarantee you
- 8:57that distributors are going to be super expensive by 20-30.
- 9:01I guarantee continue When I tell when you get towards that time
- 9:05and it's not bidding for the TV rights.
- 9:07I hope and pray that Netflix don't get it nothing else.
- 9:13We should just don't get it that at least I hope it didn't get at
- 9:16least if Disney gets it at least you at least you know you have
- 9:19some games on ABC yes ABC ESPN yes thank you yes for real for
- 9:25real, but going to report them to be the two top team that
- 9:28that's supposed to be bidding for it.
- 9:30I do not want to see the next FIFA tournament on streaming
- 9:33service. That's that that come on, how
- 9:36people going to watch them watch the game.
- 9:38I know it means a lot of money for FIFA.
- 9:41FIFA, I mean, I mean, excuse my friends, a shit load of money, a
- 9:45shit load of money and they see how much money and the folk
- 9:48getting the streaming services. NBA is getting the streaming
- 9:50services, really baseball games, streaming services and they and
- 9:54they say, hey, we want in on this, which I know which I
- 9:57understand it means a lot of money, a lot of money for them.
- 10:00But still think about the fans for real here, think really hard
- 10:06about the fans for real. That's what I'm saying that
- 10:10that's basically I say I definitely keep you posted on
- 10:12this. Hopefully, hopefully this
- 10:15hopefully this doesn't happen. Hopefully I'm hoping this
- 10:17doesn't happen real, but I will definitely, definitely keep you
- 10:21posted, y'all, for real? Also yesterday you had the Home
- 10:24Run Derby. You had the new rules and
- 10:26everything. No time clock for the Home Run
- 10:28Derby. I got to say I liked it.
- 10:31It was a good Home Run Derby. I really enjoyed it.
- 10:35I like the new, I like the new rules and everything,
- 10:38everything. No time, no time clock, no
- 10:41nothing typing, no nothing that you actually get to see and see
- 10:45and see if they were the long home runs and there was some
- 10:48good home runs, I'll be damn some damn, some some damn good
- 10:52home runs. And it was a very competitive
- 10:55Home Run Derby. I like the changes it made
- 10:58positive changes. I got to say for the Home Run
- 11:02Derby, Oh my David, which I would let me say this, shouldn't
- 11:06the NBA, whatnot take example to this shit?
- 11:10Shouldn't the NBA take example of this shit?
- 11:12I'm just saying, I'm just saying.
- 11:15I'm just saying. Also does it help that the
- 11:17players who had the participants got paid got paid for the
- 11:22homeland Derby, which is the reason why I think they are also
- 11:26did the home under they got paid the winning get do it easy
- 11:29$1,000,000. The winner gets $1,000,000 right
- 11:33second place Guess what 200,200 thousand dollars something like
- 11:38that. So like that for a way they got
- 11:40paid. Hey, they go with some money.
- 11:43So hey and plus my man, the one over there be the guy from Saint
- 11:47Louis. His contract right for singles
- 11:51Cardinals, it's $799,000 a year, a year.
- 11:57Guess how much money he won for the for the Home Run Derby since
- 12:00he won, he won $1,000,000 man for real.
- 12:03So he's getting more money from that Home Run Derby, which he
- 12:05won then he did with the contract for the of Saint Louis
- 12:08Cardinals man for real. And and hey, and his strategy he
- 12:12had for the Home Run Derby. I got to say, which is smart.
- 12:15He was trying to hit towering home runs who tried to hit try
- 12:18to hit line drive line hit line drives, line drive home runs.
- 12:22Make sure we have the preserver stamina, which was smart.
- 12:26Like I said, which which which was smart.
- 12:28Yeah, everybody else that was trying towering out here trying
- 12:30to hit out the part he was indicating Bam, is it line
- 12:33drive? Bam.
- 12:34And you notice I would pull the Barry Bonds was like, know what
- 12:38that's more smarter. Hit line drive, hit line drive.
- 12:41That's what he was going for. And that was smart.
- 12:44But hey, it was very, very competitive.
- 12:47Man. I actually I did not expect him.
- 12:50What? Not for real.
- 12:51The arm down here, all the straight home runs back-to-back
- 12:54to back on the last one, We're going to get off Schwarber, man,
- 12:58for real. I really did not expect that.
- 13:00I thought Schwarber was going to win it, but hey, it was very
- 13:03competitive. Hopefully they keep the format
- 13:05the way it is. I got to say, this is a plus for
- 13:08Major League Baseball. It really, it really, really is
- 13:10a plus. It was really successful.
- 13:13People stayed up and watched. All the problem I have with the
- 13:16Home Run Derby. I would say this that it was all
- 13:19a damn streaming service again as a problem I have.
- 13:23I understand Netflix is trying to get live.
- 13:25Netflix is trying to get in the live sports everything.
- 13:28I understand that, but it's not streaming service.
- 13:30I would like it better and for Home Run Derby, whether you like
- 13:33ESPN or Fox, I think it would be better.
- 13:37But hey, I understand Netflix offered on Fox a lot of money
- 13:42just for the whole a lot of money for the Home Run Derby and
- 13:45also what a facility game offered them a lot of money and
- 13:49maybe baseball and and it took that money for real.
- 13:53Because when it come to when it comes to both profitable sports,
- 13:57profitable sports, football, NBA, then baseball, then hockey,
- 14:04that's how it is here in the United States as it is United
- 14:07States. Talk about money wise for real.
- 14:10Money wise, man for real, Isaac. That's that's how it is
- 14:13according to reports. That's not me.
- 14:15According to reports. You can see that.
- 14:16Yes, yeah. And I see it too, for real.
- 14:21Even a baseball trying to get baseball, trying to get up
- 14:23there, try to spend the NBA. But I again, I think that would
- 14:26never happen then that. But baseball is getting good.
- 14:29But I'm going to say this and join us now because we all know
- 14:35at the end of this year, the bargain of rights comes up to an
- 14:38end. And we could see a strike next
- 14:40year and no baseball next year. We could see no baseball next
- 14:44year again, because the Corner reports neither side have
- 14:48budget. The the the union, the union
- 14:52owners are are negotiated our negotiations basically right
- 14:56now, basically and the union and and and right now the owners
- 15:01want a salary cap at baseball. They want it.
- 15:05They basically want it. And they're not budget and
- 15:09unions and the players union players union don't want salary
- 15:13cap. And the way I don't look at it,
- 15:15I don't blame them. You got players making.
- 15:17I mean damn, half half a billion dollars you got to get some
- 15:21plays, make a half a billion dollars making buku money at
- 15:23some players. Some players are doing are doing
- 15:27the Bible and anything deferring that contract.
- 15:29Basically do the contest that way when they retire tired to
- 15:32get money for the team and money for the league for retiring and
- 15:35then sit back fat living good. I mean, damn, damn, the players
- 15:41maybe play are liking what they're getting and they're
- 15:43seeing what other what other whether whether while players
- 15:48from other leagues or other league are going through with a
- 15:51salary cap, salary cap NFLNBANBA.
- 15:55And they don't like that. They don't like that.
- 15:57They're like being the only lead without salary cap and they love
- 16:00that. And trust me, these players are
- 16:03not going to budget. They're both sides not going to
- 16:05budget basically. I guarantee you, if neither side
- 16:08blinks, we will have no baseball next year.
- 16:13I will see them say this again. If neither side blinks, there
- 16:16will be no baseball next year. And I must say this, I will say
- 16:19this boldly as hell. If there is no baseball next
- 16:23year, this will hurt the game of baseball because it's getting
- 16:25more popularity is going up there as being popular.
- 16:29A strike or work stoppage will hurt the game of baseball.
- 16:33Let's be honest, it will hurt the game of baseball that many
- 16:38fans it brought in. It brought in the many fans, the
- 16:41fans that like to do format like how how fast out not too long,
- 16:45how fast is going, how how the sport is right now.
- 16:49I've worked right now with you. Even though it was working out,
- 16:51they like you know, you still got some things to work out.
- 16:54You still do just like anything just like anything else like
- 16:58anything else but a strike will will will damage the game of
- 17:03baseball. Trust me.
- 17:05I was there doing 2 intuitive shits.
- 17:08You want them with two of them shits, 2 of the shits and they
- 17:11suck. Trust me, they suck and still
- 17:14get a load offended baseball even though some of my friends
- 17:17know what I'm double baseball. I'm done and the way I don't
- 17:20blame and understand understand, but we can't go to another
- 17:23strike in baseball man. I mean can't man, I'll be honest
- 17:26with you, you can't. But I understand what's doing
- 17:28what. I stand the only side as in the
- 17:30player side because again, I'm blessed.
- 17:32The point to where the jobs I've had over the years, it's been
- 17:35one job over the year when I was, when I was a manager,
- 17:39major, 2 sports arenas where I saw things behind the scenes,
- 17:44especially, especially another major manager at this manager at
- 17:48this Miami sports stadium where I saw things behind the scenes,
- 17:52how a player's salary can affect concession sales, ticket sales,
- 17:59ticks, maturity. I saw.
- 18:00I saw the domino effect. That's a double effect and that
- 18:04taught me that taught me a lot. I was like, oh, and that taught
- 18:08me a lot. It really did.
- 18:10If he did. So I understand the orders
- 18:12aspect of it because if I got the team to pay this player all
- 18:17this money, then I got raised ticket prices, jersey prices,
- 18:21concession prices and Denver and Denver.
- 18:24And then my team is popular. It was popular dead.
- 18:27I'm negotiating looking we with the TV networks.
- 18:30I got to ask for my money so I can see it return on my
- 18:32investment to my investment. And then and and then that is
- 18:36what and then what the oldest here in the backlash was he
- 18:39back? Oh, why does it cost too much
- 18:41money? It's too much more do this too
- 18:42much money because you got paid at one player down there and
- 18:45also and also the owner wants to return their investment in a
- 18:48way. I don't really blame the owner.
- 18:50We blame the owner. I really don't, but I don't I
- 18:53don't want to play without doing it, being a player to the
- 18:55players. Like, wait a minute, I want this
- 18:57money. Somebody on both sides got a
- 18:59budget. But I will say this, I will say
- 19:02this bully, I'll give a damn if we get pissed on me to say this.
- 19:06How much is too much to pay a base to pay a player?
- 19:11I mean, how much is too much? You got players making $700
- 19:15million to hit a fucking baseball, to hit a fucking
- 19:19baseball. You got nurses who save lives on
- 19:22a daily basis don't get paid that much money.
- 19:24You got doctors, some doctors mind you, that don't get paid
- 19:27that much fucking money. Physician don't get paid that
- 19:30much fucking money. Damn teachers don't get paid
- 19:33that much damn money. For real.
- 19:36How much money is too much money?
- 19:38Let's be fucking real here to pay a baseball player.
- 19:41Let's just be honest here. I'm being straight out blunt
- 19:45honest. You go to hey, that's what I do
- 19:49with Charles Bracken, what he said.
- 19:50You go to every high school in this country, you ask them what
- 19:54they want to be able to go up. What the fuck do you hear
- 19:57something involved with sports? You don't hear a teacher, you
- 20:00don't hear a nurse, you don't hear a doctor.
- 20:02It's sports. Why not?
- 20:04Because they love the sport. Because oh, oh, I'm seeing this
- 20:06play over here making what, not $700 million?
- 20:09I'll see the press over here, maybe $200 million.
- 20:12That's why. And they'll tell some of these
- 20:14kids how hard it is to make it somebody's sports.
- 20:17It's fucking hard. I know I'm behind the scenes
- 20:20now. I got care what he's saying.
- 20:22Anything with the? If I don't stay HIPAA law again,
- 20:25I guess I got out of work, I got working in hospital.
- 20:29I really do. But you got see, I hear people
- 20:33what not get cut like this, get cut like this and get sent home
- 20:37and set home basically when that if they'll perform properly.
- 20:40I mean damn, get cut on top of a win for real.
- 20:45I mean damn, it's not easy. Baseball, basketball, football,
- 20:49even soccer. It's not easy.
- 20:52But how much is too much to pay to pay fucking player?
- 20:55How much is too much for real here.
- 20:59I tell people all the time, you have much better luck being a
- 21:02nurse, a doctor or teacher, then become a Major League Baseball
- 21:07player and become an NBA player. I become an NFL player.
- 21:10I'm being real here. I've seen people.
- 21:14I was one person this person, this person was AD 1D1 looked at
- 21:20by every kind of Cody NFL Bam Bam blew his knee blew his knee
- 21:29blew his knee doing something stupid stupid try make a
- 21:34comeback try make a comeback try to go to UFO and everything
- 21:38didn't work out was was getting paid in UFL.
- 21:41Trust me, the rock on paper with that much of UFO to get paid
- 21:43pennies now see his do work with he says he do work.
- 21:47Please do work in the kitchen went on the hospital.
- 21:52I see playing people like that with the same story man for
- 21:55real. It's not easy.
- 21:58Now everybody is as lucky as Kurt Warner.
- 22:00What not bad groceries one year next year not feeling not that
- 22:03lucky not who's not that lucky. It's not for real.
- 22:09I just got I I've got to come on, be blunt here, man, for all
- 22:12come on, be bloody honestly, meant for real from from it.
- 22:17I could have probably chose when where I'll play some football,
- 22:19probably probably could have probably the main pair with
- 22:21another, but I'm happy with the path I chose And then for
- 22:27everything I'm happy. I'm looking back on like damn,
- 22:29I'm happy I did. But hey, nothing wrong with
- 22:32taking that leap and try. It's the one with I'm not saying
- 22:34it look wrong with it, but people that come that with
- 22:37realization, man, for real, especially in the NBA.
- 22:41What really just because you got drafted you on the team this
- 22:44players that the NBA scouts went and invite the training camp
- 22:47that you don't even know about. I had a friend one not got
- 22:51drafted by the NBA draft NBA. This is this is before they
- 22:56reduced it before they reduced it got dropped in the fifth
- 22:59round. He said yeah, yeah, show them
- 23:01here, man here. But what shocked them is we went
- 23:04to training camp, the training camp, the team had two spots, 22
- 23:08spots, 2 spots, basically went out for rookies.
- 23:11When he went there, he saw thirteen other people that he
- 23:14that he said that whether the draft that they went, they went
- 23:17scouted out from Europe to Philippines, everywhere else.
- 23:23He was shocked. Please, ain't that easy.
- 23:26For real. It's not it's not smoke or not
- 23:31people's dreams up here. But I'm just being real here.
