SACS Opens Doors to Non-Resident Students | Fort Wayne News
Southwest Allen County Schools just approved 180 non-resident students for the new school year — including lots of kindergartners — as part of their bold “district of choice” plan to reverse declining enrollment. After shifting enrollment rules in October and gathering community input, the district now welcomes students from outside its borders. But with space limits and strict criteria, 26 applicants were turned away. Classes and programs are full — and not everyone qualifies. School starts August 5th.
