  Speaker 2: God is a gentleman, you know. I want to I

  Speaker 2: want to point that out to you. God is an

  Speaker 2: absolute gentleman. He will not come in unless he's invited.

  Speaker 2: He don't just barge into your life. He gives us

  Speaker 2: If you say you got it, I don't need you,

  Speaker 1: He right there. It's just a real simple thing, man.

  Speaker 2: So always say to people this, if you've gotten yourself

  Speaker 2: it past this one. But then if I don't make

  Speaker 2: it past it, what's gonna happen? And then I held

  Speaker 2: on to this little thing that my mother kept talking

  Speaker 2: to me about. She said, sometimes some when you ain't

  Speaker 2: got nothing else in you just hope. She said, just

  Speaker 2: hope It'll be all right, you know. And what I've

  Speaker 2: learned in my life is that hope is the beginning
• 1:35
  Speaker 2: of faith. Hope is just is there possibility out there

  Speaker 2: for me? I show hope, something happened. See hope. Hope

  Speaker 2: is okay, man, Because like I say, for me the

  Speaker 2: way I've lived my life, hope was the beginning of faith.

  Speaker 2: It was just the idea. It's just the thought that

  Speaker 2: something could change for me, that something could be a

  Speaker 2: little bit different from me, that maybe, man, just maybe
• 2:07
  Speaker 2: for some reason, I could be saved, I could be rescued,

  Speaker 2: things could turn around, it could hit any other direction.

  Speaker 2: Maybe I could quit messing up. Maybe somebody will forgive me.

  Speaker 2: Maybe somebody will will just say all right. I don't know,

  Speaker 2: but I can't count the times I've been in that position.

  Speaker 2: But then once I hope a little bit, and then
• 2:29
  Speaker 2: I remember also my mother, because she was a Sunday
• 2:32
  Speaker 2: school teacher, she taught me the most valuable lesson I've
• 2:36
  Speaker 2: ever learned in my life. Nothing has been greater in
• 2:39
  Speaker 2: my life than my faith. She taught me to pray.

  Speaker 2: Mama used to say, when it get real, dog for
• 2:44
  Speaker 2: your son, prayer change is things, she say, when you
• 2:48
  Speaker 2: seem like you lost and you can't find your way,
• 2:52
  Speaker 2: stop and pray, she said, because prayer change is things.

  Speaker 2: You know, when you get a point in your life

  Speaker 2: when you've done all you can do, you can't do

  Speaker 2: no more, and you just don't know what to do next,

  Speaker 2: she says, stop son pray and combine that prayer with

  Speaker 2: that hope that you got, she said, because that hope
• 3:13
  Speaker 2: is to beginning of faith, she said. If you pray
• 3:16
  Speaker 2: just hoping, she's saying, to God come through for you.
• 3:19
  Speaker 2: That'll give you confidence that he can do it again.

  Speaker 2: And then after a while, you quit hoping, she's saying,
• 3:25
  Speaker 2: you start believing. She saying, that's when you're on to something.

  Speaker 2: If you can turn that hope into belief, that hope
• 3:33
  Speaker 2: into faith, the ability to believe in something that you
• 3:37
  Speaker 2: can't see. But the key though the faith is you're
• 3:41
  Speaker 2: believing in something that you can't see see hoping a
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: little bit different from me now, I'm pretty sure, like
• 3:48
  Speaker 2: I say, oftentimes to tell a lot of people who
• 3:50
  Speaker 2: can explain this thing a lot better than I can
• 3:52
  Speaker 2: to you. But just from my side of it, being
• 3:55
  Speaker 2: as real as I can be, rich you See, hope helps.

  Speaker 1: Man.

  Speaker 2: If you ain't strong enough to have faith, have hope,
• 4:03
  Speaker 2: and then if you pray with some hope and God

  Speaker 2: answers your prayer, then that hope gains a little confidence,

  Speaker 2: and after a while that confidence becomes faith. Now theyin't
• 4:15
  Speaker 2: just hoping, but I'm believing. I'm believing in something that
• 4:19
  Speaker 2: I cannot see. Faith has been the key to my
• 4:26
  Speaker 2: entire existence, even when I didn't have any It was faith,
• 4:31
  Speaker 2: as I look back on it, that has gotten me here,
• 4:35
  Speaker 2: and not just faith, but my faith. See, you will
• 4:40
  Speaker 2: only get to where you're going in your life based
• 4:44
  Speaker 2: on it your faith.

  Speaker 2: A lot of people get the word faith confused, like
• 4:49
  Speaker 2: what's your faith? And then they start going down this
• 4:52
  Speaker 2: whole list of all these different religions out here. But

  Speaker 2: really an essence, man, when I talk to people about faith,

  Speaker 2: I'm talking to you about your your belief. How much

  Speaker 2: do you believe in the unseen? How much do you
• 5:08
  Speaker 2: believe in the things you can't see? How much do
• 5:11
  Speaker 2: you believe in the impossible? How much do you believe see?
• 5:17
  Speaker 2: Because faith is the belief in things that you cannot see.

  Speaker 2: Faith is the core of all that is happening to
• 5:28
  Speaker 2: me today, it is the faith that I have in
• 5:32
  Speaker 2: my relationship with God that enables me to just oftentimes,
• 5:38
  Speaker 2: if I stay on the right course and believe a
• 5:41
  Speaker 2: certain way and act a certain way, his blessings just poor.

  Speaker 1: They just come. And it comes in a lot of
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: little ways too.

  Speaker 2: I've started to notice, See, it ain't just a lot
• 5:55
  Speaker 2: of people think blessings is money. Nah, man, that ain't it.

  Speaker 2: It's coverage. It's every time my plane lands safe. It's

  Speaker 2: every time they predict bad weather and I get up
• 6:07
  Speaker 2: in the sky and it don't be no bad weather.

  Speaker 2: You know, this or this is favor. These are blessings
• 6:14
  Speaker 2: that get poured out to me. Somebody call me and

  Speaker 2: offer me something, not money, but an opportunity, you know.

  Speaker 2: Somebody say, hey, man, I don't know, but I sent
• 6:26
  Speaker 2: this to you.

  Speaker 1: I thought you might be interested in it.

  Speaker 2: Somebody will send me a scripture, or somebody will send

  Speaker 2: me something that's favor, and it always comes at a
• 6:35
  Speaker 2: time when I need it the most. That's favor that's
• 6:40
  Speaker 2: pouring out blessings.

  Speaker 1: Now.

  Speaker 2: I'm also the recipient of a lot of other blessings too.

  Speaker 2: You know, I've been blessed with health that's amazing blessing. Man,

  Speaker 2: I've been blessed with a spirit of not quitting. I've
• 6:55
  Speaker 2: been blessed with the ability to shoulder huge amount of responsibility. See,

  Speaker 2: blessings come a lot of ways. But once you tie
• 7:06
  Speaker 2: in to God, once you tie in and you start
• 7:10
  Speaker 2: doing the best you can do, and you start asking
• 7:13
  Speaker 2: for Him to make you a better person, to help
• 7:16
  Speaker 2: shape and mold you into the kind of man or
• 7:20
  Speaker 2: person that he wants you to be. You be amazed
• 7:23
  Speaker 2: what God can do with you. Man, if you just
• 7:25
  Speaker 2: invite me in and allow him to be a part
• 7:28
  Speaker 2: of your life. I mean, what you got to lose
• 7:30
  Speaker 2: out there? Come on, if you're sitting in the cell
• 7:33
  Speaker 2: this morning, why would you not change? You have a
• 7:37
  Speaker 2: chance to turn your life around with a relationship with God.

  Speaker 2: What you're waiting on? Are you gonna just keep doing

  Speaker 2: it like that?

  Speaker 1: Huh? Really? Come on, man, why would you do that

  Speaker 1: to yourself?

  Speaker 2: Why would you not allow God to be a part

  Speaker 2: of your life so you can get the way he

  Speaker 2: wants you to be. God got some big plans for you.

  Speaker 2: If he didn't, you wouldn't keep waking up.
