Wyandotte County’s Planning Commission just gave the green light to most zoning and special-use permit requests, but turned down one short-term rental after neighborhood concerns and the applicant’s absence. With new state law Senate Bill 48 now in effect since July 1st, the county must adapt its rules to speed up housing development — including smaller minimum lot sizes and faster permitting timelines.
