- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Here's a good example of a way to start fasting for some of you out there that are looking to do this.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: Of course, always get your doctor's recommendation.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: But I had a client talking to me, and realistically, the way this should work is the way that your diet should be should be just five things.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: And the less ingredients a food has that you eat, the better.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: The singular ingredient food, they're very powerful.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: So that's going to be meat.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: There's just one ingredient that's meat.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: And then fish, of course, well, or fish, some kind of seafood.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: That works out great too.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: And again, just stick with the one ingredient variety: fish, trout, scallops, crab, lobster, that sort of thing.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: And of course, if you're not allergic.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: And then the other things, the different types of meat.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: You got beet, you got beef, you got poultry, which is the chicken, of course.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: You have turkey, those sorts of things.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Some ham, you have that.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: So that's that's the meat variety.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Then eggs, of course, eggs, different kinds of eggs, duck eggs, chicken eggs, quail eggs, goose eggs, whatever your flavor happens to be.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: That's a single ingredient.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Vegetables, well, you have different types of vegetables, so let your mind run crazy with that.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, finally fruits.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Fruits, I wouldn't get too excited with.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't eat too much of that because they do contain sugar, and of course, they have the sugar bound with the fiber in the fruit, which does help the absorption and insulin response.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Because whenever you're eating sweet stuff, the insulin does get activated, and insulin's a great storage hormone.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: That's why you're probably fat.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: The insulin kind of keeps all that up and there's no breaks taken.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: So when I tell them this, and then I say a good way to start might be in a day not eating, actually missing whatever meals you're going to eat during that day.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: An entire day without eating.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: I know it sounds nuts, but if you're able to do that, then you have just graduated into a very elite group of people, people that have never skipped an entire day with eating.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: Now, maybe at the beginning of that it's going to be difficult.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: So maybe start with missing a meal.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: Maybe you miss breakfast.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: Maybe your ritual is eating at 8 o'clock every morning when you get up.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Why don't you delay that until 12 o'clock?
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: But when the 12 o'clock time comes, don't overdo it.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Just eat your regular food from that point on.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Don't try to compensate for missed meals.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: This includes longer fasts.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: If you're going to go on a two or three-day fast, whenever you refeed, just pick it up normally and don't get crazy with it.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: And in fact, the longer fast you go on, the more you really need to pay attention to refeeding.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: If you're going five or six days and you're going to have a massive banquet at the end of that kind of a fast, you're going to do yourself a lot of harm and create a lot of pain in your body.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: I'm Connor with Honor.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Do your research, talk to your doctor, and I'll see you in the next one.
